Ojos Locos Memorial Houston

Wanted to try the place out for the first time since I moving nearby, but literally had to wait almost an hour til I actually got a server to take care of me after I was sat. I’m a server myself and seeing every server walk by and just glancing at you instead of asking if Ive been helped yet kind of drops the standard for hospitality down very freaking low for this place. Don’t get me the wrong the food was actually pretty dam good which is the only reason why I decided to give it a 3 star instead of a 1 or 2 star rating

Certainly, how about this for your review:⸻I recently visited on a busy Saturday, hoping to relive the fond memories I had of when it was Chulas. The service, understandably, was swamped, which is okay, but it did impact the overall experience. The chicken in the tacos was decent, but the tacos themselves were disappointingly dry, lacking the moisture and flavor I remembered. Its clear the establishment is going through some chaos and perhaps a transitional phase. The food just doesnt match up to the Chulas era - it feels like something essential has been lost in the changeover. Heres hoping they find their footing again soon.

Be forewarned. No one under 21 allowed at certain times of the evening. ID and bags checked at the door. Security on deck. Great grilled chicken. Half a bird put me to sleep. Green tea shot is just enough. Tons of televisions throughout the bar. Tried the shrimp scampi (sent back). Everything else was great.

Great atmosphere, drinks were great and tacos delicious. Friendly staff

Havent been back since they did their remodel, still busy as always. The place looks good in some spots and kind of a vibe of unfinished decor? Not sure whats up with that. Still plenty of seating inside and out, tons of TV screens and security. The waitress was very nice, attentive and quick with orders. Food was good, we didnt order much but everything came out good.

The Yucatan Burger was acceptable. The server was a bit busy, so we waited a couple of times for refills on our drinks. Of course the scenery made the entire lunch a positive experience. Ill certainly come back again

Food was second thought, but pleasantly surprised!Shrimp cocktail is loaded with fresh shrimp, but a tad too much sauce.Ceviche is on par in terms of ingredients but lack the oomph on taste.The 🌟 of the show - al pastor taco - greasy, juicy and uber flavourful! A must-try.Service was on par, as expected.

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would, the blonde lady who is the manager is VERY rude. She’s worse than the waitresses, she speaks to you as if you need to eat there and you have no other restaurants around to go to. She didn’t get my issue resolved at all, she didn’t care, nor try to express sympathy for the way we were treated. I asked for the general managers information and I was told to leave and refused to give me the information. I’ve never been discriminated in a restaurant all my life!! She deserves to be fired I’ve called to ask for general manager number and I got hung up on. This is crazy how are you going to treat someone like this and expect for them to return? Someone please reach out to me

My server spent her entire time chatting with co workers at the hostess stand. I was her only table. She never checked on me over 25 minutes. I watched her just loiter at the host station. My tea never got refilled. I was going to order an entree but she never came back after dropping of my starter chips. Ran down a Mgr cuz I wanted to my check so I could leave. He seemed disturbed by what she did but he didnt apologize, either

Avoid this place at all costs. I ordered a burger, and waited 45 minutes to get it on my table.Furthermore, the server that was assigned to our table Andrea, was extremely rude, and when we paid, she demanded her tip, even though she didnt deserve it.The only positive experience is that there is a good DJ. Unfortunately, servers on this business dont know what customer service is. Specially Andrea.

Went today and ordered two drinks and both drinks had shards of glass in them felt like customer service experience was not taken serious a lot of miscommunication from the bars sanitation keeping our products safe to consume. To giving us shot glasses that were not cleaned properly.. really felt this was our last time going. As a loyal customer wasn’t taken care of properly.

Went out with the boys the other night and we wanted to pay our own stuff. Waitress decided to shove 4 extra beers in our tab that we didnt even order. She wanted us to go up front to check with the manager but we didnt because we know what we ordered. we obviously got money to pay for. and the music is way too loud. I hardly could socialize and talk with my friends...

Great Wings... If my Happy Hour Margarita on the Rocks was more than mix & ice,Id give this spot 5 stars... The waitresses were Fast & Frendly; Emily recommended a couple menu items that were delicious...After reading some of the reviews I was hoping it wasnt too loud & annoying... It wasnt at all... And I appreciated the variation of music played... cool spot!!!

Came in on Saturday night. Waitress sat us down outside, gave us menus and left. We waited and waited. Another waitress asked if we were being helped and we said no. She took our order and we waited and waited.We got tired of waiting and we left.Service is TERRIBEL! Why sit people outside if ur not gonna serve them?

This place is TRASH!!Music was way to loud. Unable to have a conversation with my group.Way to much going on with the menu, not easy to read and understand.Food was trash...The wings had NO flavor. Chicken was not seasoned before cooking.Barbacoa tacos were terrible.The queso was bland. Not even close to the quality and taste of Pappasitos.Stay away from this place at all cost.Its a dump. Customer service is mid.Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

This is my first time going to a Chulas Bar & Grill.The overall dining area and bar were clean. The Mens restroom was not very clean, but I do consider that the customers are drinking alcoholic beverages and constantly using the urinals.I ordered a shrimp ceviche tostada & chicken tenders with onion rings. To drink I ordered a Dos Equis Michelada with Tajin on the rim of the mug. All was above average. My Server was great and checked up on me constantly.TVs throughout the dining area and bar to view any sporting event. They even had TVs in the mens restroom which Ive never seen before.I was told by my Server that if you come to Chulas during a PPV only sporting event, they will charge a cover from $7 - $15 depending on the popularity of the event.

Sunday 4:30 I ordered a corona and took 10 minutes to deliver 😜and then I ordered a aguachile camarones and 35 minutos later nothing got delivered. No answer back from the over self steam waitress Maria , cashier Carlos 5:30 pm. Love google reviews 🥸

The food here is what you can expect from a sports bar, dont go in expecting gourmet food because youd be a fool. That doesnt mean the food is bad though, I enjoyed the food we purchased, they made it as we requested (one of us couldnt do spicy). The service was great as well, our waitress was very attentive and answered any questions we had. The atmosphere is very sports bar type, with a little extra flare. The extra flare is probably why people go, but please behave and be respectful, will definitely drop by again.

I’m a black lady and I invited all of my Australian friends to eat last night to have an authentic texmex experience. None of the alcoholic beverages were purchased by me nor did I drink them and when I did decide to purchase a drink. The waitress at the bar stated that the owner said that nobody cam serve me any drinks anymore. I tried to pay for my shrimp cocktail and leave. I gave them $100 cash and they did not even give me my change back. AT ALL Honestly, I was about to cry I WAS EMBARRASSED … to explain to my friends, who are only here for one night that this is how we get treated every dayI don’t want to say it was discriminative, but it definitely felt discriminative.

Excellent management and well trained staff! Music and lights are awesome! Excellent security, friendly customers, and very clean inside and out! Keep an eye out for lucky grasshoppers outside. Would be a great place to see the World Cup !!!

Great food at least the wings was, my waitresses service was subpar the music was extremely loud but maybe thats how it supposed to be

If you like latin music, if you like to watch sports, and if you love ladies, why are you not here already. The atmosphere is incomparable

Only go here if you know this is what you are looking for. I went in for a beer to kill some time. They frisked everyone who walks in... if thats tells you what kind of place it is. The beers were cold. The prices were fair. I didnt eat, but I am sure the wings and bar food were fine. There were groups eating. Plenty of dude there to gawk at the staff... hooters style. If you want to watch a game thats on here and no where else, check it out. Not my scene otherwise.

They wont serve Asians. I was profiled as a chino and old. I went there for a michilada tonight. The security guard asked for my ID for the first time. And after I sat at the bar then the the bartender asked me for ID second time. Absolutely ridiculous. I am over 50. I was upset and told her I just wanted my michalada and then the GM was called. Then the GM came and asked me to leave because I was rude, accusing me of being disrespectful. 90% of customers are Latinos there but I should never be racially profiled and refused service for asking for what did I do wrong? I will be making a complaint to the next level about this place.

I was here with some friends and I must say its always fun coming here, especially during the happy hour. The service is always great, the beers are cold, great and very delicious foods and the scenery is outstanding. The atmosphere is great here and the staff are always very on point here.Its a great place to converge with friends. A good place to eat and watch the games as well. Brace up for the rush during peak periods and be ready to get your drinks yourself :)

I was a little uncomfortable by the young manager with a beard. I got there around 4pm and the hostess said to seat down anywhere in.While I was eating and couple of beers later the manager told me it was going to be 10 dollars cover. Or I can leave. He was somewhat polite at that moment.I told him that itd be nice if I was told at the door by the hostess. Manager said that if they tell people that early (4ish pm) some people would leave.My question is. Is it legal to let clients in an establishment and tell them to pay cover after they order couple of beers?Service, food, prices and location is great.I normally dont complain in my reviews.

Rude security who won’t let you finish your drink and kick you off because they are closing “soon”. Told manager and he was more rude than them. Why would you take my order in the first place if you need to be rude about leaving even before the closing time.

The bouncer today on May 10th at 10:45 wouldn’t let me in. I walked in and he asked if I was drinking. I was with 4 people. We were all sober I had 2 beers and told him that. We did nothing wrong. I’m white my 3 friends are Latino. Idk what that was but he purposely didn’t want me in there. I’ll be writing to the city on this the way I was treated was absurd. The cop there knew it was messed up too. He knew I wasn’t drunk or anything like that. He almost talked to him but I had left . The bouncer at Ojos tonight needs to be removed. He is profiling people. I never write reviews but we ubered there and everything.

First time going to this Ojos Locos on Memorial. The waitresses are friendly and very beautiful and sexy looking. Cant wait to go back. 😁

Ordered beer tower and it tasted flat and watered down. So we changed beers and the next one was not cold. Service was great but lacked attention to quality.

Great margaritas. fun atmosphere for sports events with friends. Food and service were ok.

If I can give no stars I would. Service and environment is good BUT you have your prejudice manager Guillermo, who showed 0 customer service tried to kick us out for ordering wings after us having a few drinks…….. then said my friend couldn’t dance??? Not once showed remorse or cared. Him and his ponytail must go down!!!!

I went there a few weeks ago and honestly just had a horrible experience. I usually go to the Northline location and the service there is amazing but my coworkers and I decided to try a different location and like normal the security guard asked for my id at the door to make sure i’m 21 so i showed him my passport and then while I walked to the table i put it away. As soon as the server took my drink order she asked for my passport again ,even though the bouncer already confirmed that i’m over 21, so i switched my order to a water instead. And the birthday girl decided that she was gonna send her manager ,Antonio, over to the table instead of getting me my water. When the manager got to the table even though i had switched my order to a nonalcoholic beverage he kept telling me to stop being dramatic and just show her my id when all i wanted was my water. He just stayed at the table harassing me for my id so me and my friends ended up leaving and they still charged us for the queso no body touched using the card on file after we told them we didn’t want it anymore because we were leaving.

Ok, first time here. Gringo burger was great. Service was outstanding to say the least. So many big screens to watch sports on. Who needs that when you have staff that know how to smile. I will be trying this again as well as other locations. Wow cant wait to try again.

Amazing food great prices. And our server was an angel. On my most recent visit girl was slow with our beverages. But she explained the computers POS machines where down. Which we could see. The food was Quick and good. Overall it was a good experience and would go back again. As i always do.

I ordered the nachos which I do not recommend, not good at all! But I dont imagine many people go here for the food, but if you entire staff is wearing thongs and Neglige you might want to advertise that on the door so people are aware of what they are walking into since the attire doesnt match the website at all! But that could also be why I was the only female dining in for lunch. Im not a prude by any means but wasnt expecting that from a restaurant.

Like always going out with my lady and friends!!! We like the ceviche and shrimp cocktail its a fun place to have several drinks with a group of friends and the service its good we didnt have to be calling the bartender for drinks she kept the area clean and for sure we are making this our official ojos locos to come and have a drink with friends

If you want to see pretty girls! If you want to hear really loud Mexican / Hispanic music, then this is the place! I had chicken fajita tacos and they were terrific. The atmosphere was very bar-like, fun, loud and lots of TVs for sports watching. Highly recommend it!

Wish I could have tried the food, but they have the most rude and unprofessional security. In town for work and just got in to the hotel next door. Thought Id stop in for dinner before bed. Sat at the bar, ordered a beer, and next thing I know a security guard in black t-shirt rushes up to me angry, telling me never to walk past him. I simply said Ive never been here before, didnt see him, and didnt know. The guy just kept angrily barking at me to never walk past him while standing in my face. I had no idea what was going on or what the problem was. The guy has insecurity issues which is bad for business when all he had to do is explain that people entering the restaurant need to stop at the door. How are new visitors supposed to know that because he wasnt even standing at the door and its not exactly normal to be security checked at a restaurant. I chose to just leave the situation as there were other restaurants. Will warn co-workers this place is not for business travelers. Such a weird guy.

I got to the bar at 1 am. It smelled like culo y sobako gachooo. I guess mgmt wanted to save on electricity that the ac was not on and it smelled bad in there

Gen gave us great service! My husband arrived before me, with friends. They immediately told me the server was good. Me, being in restaurant mgmt, was skeptical (not nice, but true). Gen exceeded my expectations and was GREAT. When we return, we will ask for her. Very happy with service. Drinks were prompt, good music, GREAT SERVER.

Added extra drinks and gratuity so she could get more tips! Shady move!! I always take care of my servers.Gave them a second chance for my son in laws birthday a few weeks ago. I guess that is their strategy, our server added extra drinks to our tab and it was extremely hard to track her down to where we had to walk up to the bar and get our own drinks. It wasn’t even busy so she had no excuse.

As a bartender myself, the girls do a good job, but my only complaint is that every draft I drink always tastes sour. Been tasting sour drafts for months now. Ok not sure what it is. Maybe a connection on the hoses is bad. Other then that, pleasant place to be at.

From the minute we walked in, the entire staff near and around the door and the bar was very welcoming. Our hostess happened to be our waitress as well.Our Waitress Maria, truly was the host with the most. After reviewing the menu, everything looked so good that we were still undecided . Maria provided us her suggestion based on what we enjoyed. Her suggestion was spot on and the food was amazing. RESPECTS to the Chefs!Marias hospitality was second to none and very attentive to our orders as well made sure our Food and Drink orders arrived in a timely manner. We noticed that Maria treats all of her customers like royalty. Keep up the Great work Maria, Thank you for being a Host with the Most. The sports ambiance was Great with plenty of Big Screen TVs to enjoy the Astros games and or MMA, Boxing Fights. I could not leave without making it a point to complement Juan the location Manager on just how welcoming his entire staff is.Thanks to Maria our waitress and Juan for your top notch Hospitality. We wont mind driving across town again to receive this 5 Star Hospitality Royalty Treatment. We will be back

I ordered from door dash when I was in the area , the food and margaritas are simply awesome!No need to rate badly when they replaced the other place you were accustomed to, it probably closed for a reason! New people are trying their best, everything is fresh and tasty!

I loved this place when it was CHULAS!!!! I was a loyal customer until they closed. Bring them back!!!!! The service was crazy slow. Our waitress was taking care of the table next to us and not our table or the other 2 tables she had. I asked for my drink and I didnt receive it until 25 min later and she wouldnt come check on our table. I was there 3hrs with a party of 7 and only got 2 drinks & a shot because she was taking forever. Other girls had to help her because she was somewhere. I just closed my tab and left. NEVER GOING BACK!! I get it, its a bar and it gets very busy but the speed has to improve or say I am sorry I am new, or sorry I was got a little busy. She was hardly speaking to us. She wouldnt even ask if anyone else wanted to order food or drinks, we had to stopper before she left with one order.

First time going there since they replaced Chulas. I was there with my friend around 5pm on a Sunday. We were seated but nobody came to attend us. All the waitresses kept passing by so after waiting for more than 10 minutes we left. We ended up at Kirby’s Ice House and the service and atmosphere were much better. Also security pat you down in the entrance, something I don’t mind, but it makes the reputation of being a ghetto bar.

Be careful with this place I pay my bill and a couple of days later they charge my card again and went to make a claim and the manager said they I’ll call me back and never happened so I went back and the manager basically did nothing for me.Not cool he treated me like I was nothing and look as he didn’t care.

Service today was so very horrible. Went there with a group of 5 to eat and have drinks. Literally sat down for ten minutes no one came to take our drinks or etc. Waiting another 8 minutes still nothing. While other people were coming in and being seated and orders were being taken. SERIOUSLY!!

Experience is always great, the shawties stay ready outchea uknowmsayin, you get you a tower for you and the homies and they pour it up for you ya tu sabe, even in the buckets, friendly environment friendly management definitely recommend if you trying to catch up with some friends or trying to catch the game.

Just plain out horrible. This place wasnt too busy but they did have 12 servers on the floor. And you would think with that many servers the Greek time would be excellent. But its not! Majority of the servers are standing at the front door making it difficult for you to even come in to the restaurant. The rest of them are sitting down at a table in the corner with each other just hanging out. McDonalds has better customer service than this place.

Best ojos locos by far, girls look great compared to the other locations. We had casandra as our waitress. She was very polite and tended to us frequently. Will be back soon!

Okay food, good drinks but very very expensive. Stayed at the hotel next door. Didnt appreciate being denied entry and treated like a criminal by the police officer at the door because I had a bottled water. Honestly atmosphere felt like a strip club. Also FYI none of the servers spoke any English so we struggled ordering. I will say thought that they were very nice and tried there best.. If I visit Houston again Id stay elsewhere with a more welcoming restaurant environment.

The food was great. The girls were cute. Our server was lovely and had gave us amazing views. Tipped her accordingly. The drinks were overhyped, overpriced, and watered down. I think Ive gotten more drunk at a Chuck E Cheeses than this place.Dont spend your money on the drinks here.

Never again leaving a open tab. I was over charged by waitress teresa( I was with my man and a friend that also had her friend) when I spoke to Jose the manager he argued with me that I drank them and need to pay 😑😳😤😤. Then im looked at as if I’m just a drunk and don’t want to pay. Yes my friend Zelle me the over charge but I did not appreciate being looked at as if I was lying or being over dramatic! I know what I had to drink. I was well aware!!!

Good environment but I didn’t like the fact that the waitress came to us demanding more tip because we stay too long consuming… which got me upset because she made it seems like we had to pay her for bringing our things … I’m not coming back to this location

Horrible experience! We ordered 60 oz beer tower for our table, and were given 100 oz. We told our server multiple times we only ordered 60, but by time manager came over we were a little below 40. He said we drank more than the 60, and took it away from us, rather than apologizing for the mix up. We have NEVER had a manager take something away like that when they screwed up. Awful experience and will never be back!

Tay is one of the best servers Ive ever had, she pays attention, shes funny, sweet. Fresh breath of air in comparison to modern youth... Management in her future.

Got kicked out because I didnt want to give my seat up to a caucasian woman. (Other seats were available)Went to Ojos Locos Memorial to grab a quick drink after a long day at work. Went inside and sat at the bar. The waitress said you need a wristband. I said Why? She said its a fight 2nite. I said im only here for about 30 minutes and headed home. The mgr walked up and said everyone has to buy a wristband. I said cool and handed him the cash.I had one drink and was about to order food and realized I left my debit card in the car. I told the bartender i was going to get it and she said ok. Told the guy sitting next to me as well. I ran out to grab it and came straight back in.When I walked in it was a caucasian lady sitting in my seat at the bar. I calmly told her I was sitting there and had a tab open and she said no worries I see a table opened I wanted I will grab it. The manager walks up and says excuse me maam you can stay there. She said Im actually moving to the table its ok. The manager said no its not ok. The guy can find another seat. The lady ignored him and went to her new table.I was then approached by another manager saying I had to leave. I said why? He said because of the little disruption you made. I said what disruption I was calm and peaceful and the lady was cool as well. I simply sat back in the seat i was sitting in and she got the table she wanted. He said sorry you have to go I dont have to have a reason for you..... Guess thats 2023 as a black man out here.

Used to go here when it was Chulas - updated interior is clean, sporty and welcoming - good drinks - ceviche was fresh and tangy - good service; however, felt it was a bit incredulous for our waitress to assume a cash payment of what amounted to a 30% tip was hers to keep - I would not recommend paying cash unless youre okay with no change.

Beautiful restaurant, great location, kind staff, I met two managers just now and they were incredibly polite. They answered any questions I had, and the atmosphere here is perfect. Felt clean, welcoming, and fancy! I look forward to returning often!

Overall everything was good. The waitress was kinda lost and didn’t followed my instructions when I ordered my food, but other than everything else was good

I had the spicy garlic shrimp, it was a tad bit salty for my taste but still good. Stay is very very nice and attentive. I asked my server if they had heard of a Super Chavela, and she hadnt but was still willing to take the order and try. Needless to say my drink change back very good.

The girl who waited on me asked me for my credit card before I can order. I told her i would pay after my services. This is not the norm and I felt it was definitely a scam on her part. I paid cash just to be sure.

Everything was good with the server Kat she was really good server up until the manager Carol didnt want to serve us anymore because she thought we were already drunk just because our friend was dancing and spinning. But the people next to us were doing extra and she didnt stop letting our server serve them. Really did enjoy the place until the poor management from Carol never again didnt even want to try and speak to us to resolve her issue with us.

Dont ever go here. I know this isnt a one time thing because it happened to me twice in one day with same server. My tip was typed in as my full bill. You dont notice it till a week later when it hits your card but yeah TWICE. Go to twin peaks or hooters at least you dont have to worry about getting robbed.

This is me and my wifes second time here in a week, as its close to our house and the first time it was an enjoyable experience. I cant say the same for the second time. Ive been in the bar industry for 15 years, and the lack of care here is atrocious. The server isnt trained enough to know what a skinny marg is in a place that primarily serves beer and tequila. She misheard my order of queso and brought me chips and salsa. This is completely fine, but then she tried to tell me I ordered that. And when I explained I ordered queso, she went to get a manager. Also not a bad play, except he was rude, blunt, and frankly not good at his job. Ive literally worked in bars and restaurants since 2007. I can tell someone who doesnt care about their job or the customers. This guy is one. Poor training all around.

I was going to try it out till the guard at the entrance started acting like a total tool. I dont need that kind of response. I was simply asking general questions about the place. No need to be rude. I left didnt even go in. No wonder they need a rent a cop.

Great happy hour prices on beer towers. Beautiful waitresses and bar tenders and a lot of TV screens if you can take your eyes off the other scenery. Will definitely be going back for future happy hour deals. Awesome service and clean facility. Next time Ill stay long enough to get drunk.

Had wonderful servers on 2 occasions. Very friendly and good customer service. Management is absolutely horrible though as others have commented on. Very abrupt and rude. I’ve been to several other Ojos and these are by far the worst managers. Even the servers complain about how loud it is……..as many others have also mentioned. Apparently they don’t listen to customers or their employees.

The eye candy that serve you itself is worth going to visit. The waitresses are beautiful, ALL of them, the drinks are reasonable and the food was good. My CC wasnt charged the correct amount, the only problem, but I understood the mix up!

This place sucks! Was a long time Chula’s customers, I’ve spent 1500-2000 this month buying random patrons shots of Casamigos and Don 70 without flinching, average check 300-400 and average tip 100-200! Today, Brit a bartender who has seen me come every time I have been once again asked me if I wanted to start a tab. I said I’ll go cash just to prove a point. Had a 3 dollar coors, tipped 1 dollar to prove a point. Second time around, bartender made fun of me to the customer next to me saying “1 dollar again?” 3 dollar beer and 1 dollar tip is 33%! More than a generous guy and happy to tip and show appreciation to bartenders who provide excellent service, but will certainly not tip poorly trained bartenders with poor manners and edicate. Managers reply was that he didn’t ask me to spend my money there. Say no more, I won’t! The reviews speak for themselves, if you were a long time Chula’s fan this place sucks and don’t spend a cent here! 0 personality and not ability to establish a relationship with regular customers. Sad!

Andrea completely jacked up my order. I ordered rum and coke and a bacon cheeseburger. She rung me up for a double bacon cheeseburger and crown and coke. That’s an extra $6 for the double meat. Then that’s an extra $10 per drink for the watered down crown. Won’t be back here again. The manager was rude and his response “did you drink it?” Of course I drank what she brought me. It was watered down so I figured it was bottom shelf well, so of course it didn’t taste great. But then to insult me and tell me I ordered a crown and coke. That’s beyond disrespectful.

Hot waitresses in lingerie. Lets just get that out of the way. Decent draft beer selection. Carnitas tacos were delicious. Charro beans were kinda bland. Place was packed after the Astros game. Clientele is definitely ... boisterous. Probably not a place to go by yourself. Definitely not family friendly.

Looks like they have a choose group of audience, which I did when I turn around every body looked like a blue collar audience . To me this is discrimination and will be put to the attention of superiors. Everybody should be able to enjoy a beer . We are not gang members and work for a living . The waitress had tattoos, the people in the kitchen have tattoos. The managers have tattoos. And the guy in that back had drinking his boss had a tattoo on his face . Will not come back to this place.

This place is a fun place to go to... decent atmosphere here and staff is very on point we will say!!! Foods good specially on Tuesday when its buy one get one free Wings!!! Beers always good and cold and plenty of T.V.s to catch what ever sport you watch on. After going here in will not go back to Buffalo Wild Wings or Hooters for the simple fact they just dont compare. Quality service and presence here.

Been going to this location for the last 5 years for football season. They were able to show every game. But Ojos Locos took over. Now you have a crowd there for football and you play soccer which no one watching...Time to find a new spot. Guess thats why all the old staff left.

They bought out Chulas and that is a travesty! Chulas menu is 1000x better! Wings, NOT the Cajun rub, are ok. The grilled 1/2 chicken is decent. The young ladies are beautiful, awesome service, especially Dani and Ligia at the bar.

Each time I visit (infrequently) it is difficult to get the bartenders attention, however they do get to you and deliver a great cold mug of beer.This time I had a large seafood cocktail and it was my first time tasting it. The cocktail was delicious and arrived minutes after ordering it. I always seem to meet fun, friendly and interesting people here. I give them a 5 however I think they are a bit over priced considering how long you may wait to be recognized at thier bar.

Carolina is the best bartender. She is very attentive and makes the best drinks. I would recommend her to all customers.

**WARNING** worst service ever. I had a party of 17 and two waitress who kept forgetting about us. I had to ask for a beer 6 times! The waitress even told me I might forget about you since this isnt my section but my boss told me to service you guys seriously how dumb can you be to say that to someone who might tip you, bad customer service skills. None of us tip her or the other waitress because she didnt check up on us at all. Didnt pick up empty beer bottle or buckets or dirty plates. I was doing her job. Getting my own beers from the bar. Take dirty plates off my own table. I strongly recommend you all find another bar to go to. Its not worth it. This bar is in desperate need of New Management and new employees who do not drink while on the job.

Terrible customer service!! Waitress and manager both got upset because we ordered Mild wings for my daughter who eats them everywhere else without an issue and it clearly says mild on the menu bit were way too spicy and they were not wanting to take it back and switch and tried to make us pay for them. And then they gave us attitude and gave in to switch flavors.

This place is like a Hooters. I went there during a lunch break by myself not knowing it was that kind of place. The women who work there were very snooty and full of attitude, Im assuming its because Im a woman, they dont treat men that way for sure. Horrible place, awful management. Server got our order wrong. Ordered a 60 oz beer, got a 100 oz. When we complained, manager took the beer away including the mugs we were drinking out of. Never had that happen before. Pitiful and despicable place.

As a pervious bartender I have never been so offended. I hate that the manager did not take the time to interact with me and consider what me and my table had to offer as clients. We come here every Friday and try to have a good time after a long week of work and even through there were 6 people at our table and we had 4 beers each she decided that we were all under the influence. As someone who has worked at a bar before I take people under my care being drunk very seriously and I would never place a waitress under that kind of pressure. However, it seams the manager doesn’t take the time to pay attention and talk to her clients ever after I asked several timers to speak with her. Good costumer service is so under minded during these hard times and I really wish people would take the time to take care of their clients considering they have all been stuck at home for so long. Had COVID ruined what we consider good costumer service? I would appreciate if the maneuver in charge tonight was made to take her TABC one more time. It clearly states what the rules of individuals under the influence are. If you are not interacting with the client and the waitress is asking you to go to the table as a manager you should oblige. I really hated to end such a good night on such a bad note because of someone who didn’t take the time to talk to me. I hope people haven’t forgotten how to be polite and interact with other humans after COVID. Costumer service always states if you ask for a manager you should be able to speak to one and that was not my experience tonight. Thank you Ms. carol for ignoring me all night.

The worst possible place to come and enjoy a good game show and have a good time and drinks. Service was the worst anyone could imagine. On a regular day youll be lucky to get service in less than an hour. The waitress sure have very little clothing and also very little waitress skills. Seems the manager just picks up any girl that he sees has the less clothing and the most trashy life and attitude and much less even less waiter skills ever. Service is the worst you will ever get and not counting the food which is the worst bar food in Houston. DO NOT EVER IN YOUR LIFE COME TO THIS PLACE! This is so sad came to ojos loco memorial where I always come to consume and they have a great General Manager Jose there but he has bad assistant manager staff asked him a question spoke loud because there was a game going on super packed at the moment and his response was you can leave if he’s treating me like that what can you expect from him telling other people just because he has some kind of authority there no sir. Ojos locos need to make sure who they hire.

Nachos werent great. It was more chips than anything else. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. She came by many times to make sure we had everything we needed. Drink prices werent too bad and they were delicious.. I would come again just wouldnt order the nachos. And for anyone wondering.. this isnt an environment for children.

I didnt like this restaurant. It took 10 minutes before someone came to our table to get a drink order and then another 7 minutes went by and we still didnt have our drinks. The restaurant wasnt even busy. I wont go back. Theyre are too many restaurants in Houston that offer good food and food service that want my business. Chulas didnt.

Been a few times when im in area or taking someone there for 1st time. drinks are cool. bartenders are cute but not knowledgeable of new drinks, had to show them some! i havent try their food yet. On weekend it get very live. playing a wide range of music for a diverse crowd!!! Will enjoy yourself

Its a latin version of Hooters in every way. The food is decent, the waitresses and bartenders are dressed a little more risque than Hooters. Definitely not a place I would bring the kids, although they do have a kids menu. All in all not bad, average priced food for a sports bar like establishment. I would definitely come here over Hooters for game night.

Its across town from where I stay but atleast at this location ur vehicle wont get broken into or end up fighting some drunken idiot like at the almeda location.

Chulas is great, Ive been here a few times now and it is always great. The outfits vary a little, if you time it right they have theme and it is awesome. Food has been consistently good. Last time I came I actually for a burger rather than the more Tex-Mex offerings and was pleasantly surprised. Only negatives, sometimes the music is excessively loud if you are there with friends to eat it is way to loud for a conversation. They need to keep the volume a bit lower. If you cant speak Spanish it makes ordering a bit hard depending on the waitress.

Cold beer, hot food, but a little pricey.

I went here with my spouse specifically to get a drink, we got the smaller tower, which is equivalent to a pitcher. The service was slow but our hostess was nice and had recommendations. Of course all the females working are nice to look at. I ordered 1 shot before we left and that took the longest part.

Pros: Very good food, attentive and attractive wait staff, affordable even on a moderate budget. Plenty of screens, no trouble viewing an event from almost any seat in the place.Cons: Parking as well as seating is limited especially for party exceeding 3-4. Be sure to have 90%+ battery bcuz the wait for your order may be excessive. Plan to get in a lot of social media and gaming on your phone til your food comes.

I just went to this chulas and I will never go back again! I went with some coworkers and order me an agua chile. When they bring me my food I noticed that it taste like a lime juice and peppers nothing else. I ask our waitress to have it exchange for something else and the waitress say she’ll have to call the manager. So when the manager comes she says for us to stop being rude to the waitress because according to her she overheard us saying “get to work” we were so confused by the accusations from the manager and when I confronted the waitress she say she thought she heard us saying something like that while she was walking away. Never in my life have I mistreated a waitstaff! So we got up pay and left. Never will I be going to this place again. Save your money because if something goes wrong the manager will not even ask only accuse so food is not good and service a little worse.

First time going to Chula’s and I loved it! The atmosphere and MOST of all SHANNON! Being a bartender myself when I go out my expectations are at an all time high. Shannon is exceptional! Ask for her and I promise you’ll love it there as well!

We always have such a pleasant experience here at Chulas. We had one in San Antonio and to my opinion, it was perfect. Sad it closed down, so we drive to Houston once a month or so and a must stop for lunch, dinner or just for drinks. Ladies are attentive, manager does show his or her face to the customers. Nice bar and drink options. Wings are my favorite and the Macho Burger is delicious. Great atmosphere.

Bartenders are awesome, but sat down for a drink and had a couple threatening to beat the bleep out of me for wanting to have my seat back. Sadly like most bars nowadays the staff is more happy running away from an issue vs dealing with it. Would have given it a good review as the bartenders really do try, but they let the regulars push them around...waste of money.Edit: have been drinking here on and off the past six months or so, but not worth me getting in a fight over a drink for, so guess I need to find a new place.

Worst Mexican food EVER! Worst service EVER! Took 1 hr to get the wrong food on 3 of 4 orders. Appetizer came out after main course. Tortillas (ordered flour, got corn that were stuck together) were only 3 round. Fajita meet would not fill up a 4 year old that was half full. onions only no peppers, cold food. The girls are all way over weight and I wish they would of not dress in those nasty skimpy outfits. I dont like seeing fat rolls while I eat. They could not even get the drinks right. Wish I would of ordered Jimmy Johns.

Came here every thursday night after school, even after i graduated however i invited a friend whom wasn’t allowed to dine in the establishment because he has his sons name tattooed on his face. Don’t think ill be returning. The fact you can be tattooed from head to toe they won’t pay attention to your tattoos but 1 face tattoo draws the line. They said we can cover with hat didn’t have 1 on us but offered to cover with makeup.. they declined and stated it didn’t make a difference. I always came here due to convenience but always resented the inconsistency in the establishment.

Just loud. So dang loud. Could only talk to the person next to me. So much for a group event. Girls were in lingerie, and looked great. Place was busy but not to bursting. Beer tower stayed full and drinks replenished promptly enough. But, did I mention how loud it was?

I sat at the bar and had fantastic service, when I asked what she recommended I got a small sample and a few great selections. The wings were cooked perfect but the sauces could have been better.

Be careful using your credit card here. Our server took it upon herself to reprint our ticket and give herself a larger tip. Her service wasnt Terrible but she damn sure didnt earn a 50% tip. Glad we caught it. Called to inform management and nothing has been done about it. If you absolutely have to have some subpar barfood, bring cash!

Angel does a great job, even thoigh the management hasnt a clue in customer service. Also be aware they Chulas has a tendency to show one price on the menu and yet charges a different price upon cashing out. Pay close attention to when they bring you the check.

I don’t understand how my brother was not allowed here due to having a tattoo on the side of his head which is a music symbol. Nobody should be discriminated. His service was denied. Ever heard of don’t judge a book for its cover? He went to twin peaks instead so if you guys don’t want to be discriminated then do not go here. Take your service elsewhere. I don’t see how any place allows this. I wanna see where it states in the policy that you cannot have head tattoos. Was looking at the other reviews that the owner is racist too. I’m surprised nobody has called the cops to explain to these people that they have a right.

So, 2.5 stars. I was in on a Monday for lunch. The staff was friendly and professional as was the service. I ordered a shredded chicken chimichanga and an iced. The presentation and preparation left much to be desired. A pale, limp tortilla told me that my chimichanga had been all too briefly fried. With this being an item off of the lunch menu, I cant complain about the portion size. However, the smaller meal is swallowed by the large plastic platter its served on. Again, poor presentation and attention to detail. The flavor reflected the same mediocre flare. The tea was delicious and the atmosphere was lively. Ill try something different, but Ill give it another try.

Couldve visit my table more often. And maybe smiled more. Lady that delivered my food kind of just slammed in on the table and just walked away. Dont know whats up with girls at bars but they can be so rude. But my waitress was sweet. Dont know their names.

I was at this location for less than an hour and my car got broken into. I even parked right in front by the entrance and it wasn’t enough. Management stated their cameras were hazy due to the “storm” and He stated that it happens all the time. Either they are in on it or They should care more for their customers safety; fix their cameras and higher security outside if it’s an ongoing issue. STAY AWAY from this location! Many people have commented of burglary here and It’s still happening today.

The dj was playing all types of songs, Spanish, hip hop, etc. I found this place to be better than hooters, better looking girls too, white, black, Hispanic, I think theyre missing an Asian girl.

Still horrible. I stopped coming because of the poor service. I decided to try it out again after 2 years its still horrible. I order 12 plain wing and I got 6 plain wings in a dirty box. Only reason I am giving it a 3 star is because the manager is much nicer than before and he made sure I was taken care of.

I order online (ubereats) from Chulas all the time and I absolutely love their burrito. However, the website they have listed on google leads to a website that attempts to give you a virus by trying to install a chrome browser extension. I will change my review to 5 stars when they fix this, I hope no one has had their information hacked due to this malware redirecting site.

Went here for the first time last week. Lots of TVs are available for games, a variety of music playing, dance lights, and plenty of areas/table to be at. Staff is pretty fast delivering drinks and well drinks come out good. Plenty of parking is available as well. Valet is available, but with the large lot near by it may not be necessary.

LITERALLY THE WORST SERVICE IVE EVER HAD. Came here with a group of friends. Took us forever to even get our drinks because our waitress was too busy giggling, hugging, and taking pictures with another group that was obviously drunk. When she did decide to come get our drink order it took forever to get them because she went back to previous group. When she finally brought our drinks back, instead of then taking our orders she ran off to her drunk group again. This happened throughout our visit. When we came we had the intention of getting a few beers each and hanging out for a while, but after our waitresses complete lack of service 2 others in our group decided not to get beers at all and the rest decided not to get a second because we knew it would take so long it wasnt worth it. Food was...decent, but definitely overpriced.

The security guard had the audacity to kick me out after I was eating and drinking with 6 friends because of my SHIRT -___-Its obviously summer time who doesnt wear sleeveless t-shirts during thesummer. I came to twin peaks and had the best service from Ashley!!!! She was great. Chulas was horrible.

A great place to spend the weekend

Im not typically a sports bar kind of person. Though we had a craving for crawfish and Chulas was serving. It was a pleasant surprise. The establishment was extremely clean and the waitresses were fast and very friendly. I know that crawfish can be hit and miss, but today we got lucky. Large sized, succulent and delicious. The spice flavor and level was just perfect. The potato and corn were equally as scrumptious. My guest and I left extremely happy that we stopped at this location randomly for crawfish today!!

Good, Mexican influenced bar food. Try the Mexico City tacos. Bikini Tuesday is legit. Gals are solid and sweet.

I sometimes hit the North or the 59 locations.I mostly ask for one waitress; of course, because I have a preference for one of the girls to serve me. I usually have four or five names so I can always ask for someone I know, that can take care of me, and that I consider pretty as well.I walked in to this location and I ask for one girl and they said she is on break. No big deal. I asked for another one and I said to sit in a table and she will be there. Then another girl goes and greets me.I pointed out that I asked for one girl and if she can wait on me. Then my server tells me that she is busy with her tables (???). I dont see an apparent reason why she cannot take care of me, as many waitresses there takes care of many tables at the same time and she had, at that time, three one-tops and one two-top. I was not that happy about it, specially since this is not the first time this occurred.First at all, let me say the kind of client I am. I look for some talking to the servers; but I am only a little talkative and I always respect them. I dont consume a lot most of the time, but I leave a $10 tip in a $10 to $20 tab (I adjust more or less tip according to the service quality). I sometimes take one friend and tip even more. Its a Sports Bar with a Ton of TVs to watch any Sport that is on! Outside seating and smoking area. Good selection of beers on tap & in bottles along with a full bar. Food is well priced for the amount given. It Gets Packed When Any of the Houston Teams are Playing!

The Girls are beautiful!!! The food it was really good!!! I ask for ceviche and Im falling inlove with the flavor and taste, My husband ask for fajitas and also he liked it his plate! Beer taste good!!! I recomend for watch sports and hanging out with friends!!!

Tuesday night wing special (1/2 price) was great. The taste was not. Overall, I enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere and will return to watch soccer games.

The pitcher was leaking the bar maid tried to fix the issue the manager said no. They saw no issue with the tower. Didnt refund #. Sucks magmt only worried about $...

I come here often I was here literally Tuesday for the 2 for 1 wings and the weekend before Friday,Saturday and even Sunday and today they deny me cause I have a rockets tattoo on my head ? Like I’m not gang related never even been to jail and they straight come to me and kick me out when I’ve been here before and in these past 4 visits me and my group has spent over 400$!! 489 to be exact!! Completely in disbelief manager and the officer wants to scream at me and say it’s corporate but I was literally at this location just 2 days ago like that’s complete bs .

The food was great. The waitress was very nice and efficient. I would definitely recommend this who want to eat some good food. Keep in mind its a sports bar.

Dropped in to meet up with few friends and catch a Rockets game. Ive always liked this location. The beer is alwayd cold and plenty of choices, however the food is just spot on. Great burgers and probably the best boneless wings ive had in a year or so.

Server was beyond incompetent, had no knowledge of the menu or bar. Music was way too loud. Food was cold and when we told our server the food was cold she thought we were joking and walked away.

Sat at a table for 10min with waitresses walking past my friend and I and no stopped to great us. So we got up and left! Worst customer service Ive ever experienced!

This is not at all a good place of employment this place hired 2 of my daughters. On payday my girls did not get paid according to what was told to them . they worked very hard stayed out until 2:30 am in the morning hours they told my oldest that her credit card tips would be on her paycheck they were not , then they told her later that whoever told her that lied so my daughter worked without getting her tips for 5days of credit card payment she only got her cash tips of which for 5 days was roughly about $150 I have also contacted the BBB and Wage and labor board they will pay the next person ..

I was profiled and embarrassed for having a tattoo of an aztek symbol on my neck. Kicked out by the grimiest nastiest manager ever. I had just came out the gym looking better than him. The man looked homeless. Went to twin peaks and had the best service ever. Clean environment and the waitresses dont look like hood trash. Waitress came back to me every 3 min. Worth the 50 dollar tip.

Went up there a hour early to get me and a friend a seat at the bar to watch the Rockers game. One of the bartenders had some friends come in after she seen all the seats were gone she turns to me and say she been holding my seat for one of them. At that point I decided to watch the game like I plan I didnt some up there to augue. She giving them free drinks when we were paying customers. Owner should stop staff from trying to hang with friends at work specially on big nights when customers actually have money to spend.
