HORRIBLE!!! When I checked in the girl told me she would like the person doing my massage know I was there. About 20 minutes later I was brought by someone else upstairs. Finally 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time (which THEY rescheduled the day before) my massage therapist came through the door saying she had been stuck in traffic. No one told me she wasnt even there or they were running late. She seemed unhappy to be there but brought me to a cold room. The table was cold. Ive never had a $90 hour long massage without a heated blanket or table. The table made noise with every move which distracted me and was not relaxing. I am not sure what she was doing by it was not a massage. There was a whole lot of rubbing but nothing that actually felt like a massage. I gave her one problem area of around my shoulder blade and she did not attempt to address it or spend time on it. She used oil out of a plastic cup for the entire massage (are you kidding me??? buy a bottle of oil). She ended the massage 10 minutes early!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was after she was a half hour late and spent the last 5-10 minutes of the massage chopping and rubbing on top of all of the sheets and blankets. Massages are paid by the minute. It was absolutely unacceptable. If I didnt have more money on a gift certificate I would never go back. Worst massage of my life by far and most expensive for the lack of leisure.
I just got my hair done by Charlie and she is wonderful. My hair looks amazing and feels so healthy. She was very nice and made me feel comfortable with my hair experience. I had a bad experience at this salon before bit had gift cards to use. I am so glad I got her. If you want a good hair stylist who is also friendly and personable then definitely ask for Charlie. You wont be disapppinted.
I will start this by saying I had a Groupon so had I not, I wouldnt have gone. But I call the salon to schedule my facial and Im greeted with Thanks for calling Solaire, can you hold? where I was placed on hold for at least five minutes. Then it rings back and she asks if I can hold AGAIN for another three minutes. I schedule my appointment and I go in and Im greeted, or lack thereof, by a tall brunette with no enthusiasm or hospitality. Many times she walked away from the desk and other customers would come in and other employees would have to jump in to say, She just walked away, and I dont know how to do this. Shell be right back. If I knew what to do, Id help. It seems pretty basic to check people in for a haircut or manicure. Very strange. So Im waiting and finally Beverly comes to get me. She turned it all around for me. The facial was great and relaxing, and Beverly was very knowledgeable. So I am walking out, pay for my service, and the same brunette hardly says a word to me during my transaction except to try to sell me on another spa package with them. I dont even think she said goodbye or have a great day. I dont plan on coming back but I do say Beverly was amazing!
I went to the hair salon this weekend, after going a year and half without getting my hair dyed or cut. I had a gift certificate for this salon from my coworkers. I finally decided to treat myself. I am not the most glamorous or prettiest girl out there, so going to a salon is not a normal occurrence. I had a hair cut and highlight. Unfortunately the hair stylist did not believe me when I told him I didnt have hair dye on my root growth. My hair is now one color at the base, and another at the ends. He tried to tone it to fix it, but after coming home and washing/styling myself, I am embarrassed. My hair is two different colors, nothing at all like the picture I showed him, and quite disappointing. $200 later..... I will be going to the drug store to buy some box dye to fix hair. I was excited about a small transformation I thought would boost my self esteem. Unfortunately I am left feeling the exact opposite.
I was given three massage gift cards to Solaire and have redeemed all three. The first two times I went, the massages were under 40 minutes and the check-in process was a half-inch away from being downright terrible...I made an honest and scathing review of this. However, having redeemed my third massage gift card today, I was pleasantly surprised. The check-in process was efficient and mannerly. The massage room now had a clock to accurately measure the length of the massage which was the standard 50-minutes because of 5 minutes to undress and 5 minutes to get dressed. While I still have a sour taste in my mouth from my first two visits, the third is making me think I should start coming here more often than when I get a gift card.
We booked a couples massage for 60 minutes. We showed up about 5-10 minutes early just to be sure everything was sorted out before we started. After walking upstairs, they had us wait for a few minutes because our room wasnt ready. They brought us to the room and gave us more than enough time to undress. We were ready well before they checked back in with us. However, we didnt feel comfortable leaving the room as we were barely clothed! They returned and began the massage. They finished up exactly an hour after our booked time. Due to the fact that our room wasnt ready at the time our appointment was originally scheduled and the more than ample time they gave us to dress down, we were anticipating they would make that time up - especially since we arrived early. So in turn, we really only got a 45-50 minute massage, not 60 like we were expecting. My guess is that since we used a Groupon, they werent as inclined to make up the time. Not an ideal business practice - in my opinion.Additionally, the lotion used was pretty foul-smelling (I had to shower when I got home since it was that bad) and the table I was laying on was very creaky.Other than those issues, our masseuses did a terrific job!
Glad I bought my mani/pedi with a Groupon. Got it done Thursday by Sunday my shellac manicure was chipping and my pedicure is chipping today (Monday). Im pissed at $35 Id be really pissed if I paid full price. Was put on hold twice when I called to make my appointment. When I was there the staff was not the friendliest people.I would not recommend this place.
Buyer beware of the hair specials. You are placed with a new stylist who may or may not know what they are doing. I ended up with hair 5 inches shorter than I asked and layers that were so short and uneven they could not be corrected properly (after consulting with other hair dressers). The business told me they would not refund me because it was a Groupon and they didnt get the full amount paid. I wish I could post a picture of my hair, so disappointing.
I had an amazing appointment with Lauren, an esthetician, at Solaire. She was extremely nice and very personable. I nearly forgot I was getting a wax! She also went out of her way to make sure that I was comfortable in an appointment that can get awkward and painful at times. I will be using her services, again.
Bought this as a B-Day present for my 17 year old daughter and they are amazing! She absolutely loved the woman she had and she said they made her feel so welcome from the minute she walked in the door and she said she felt like she was right at home. Exactly what you want when you go to places like this!!!! Highly recommend
I will start by saying every employee was kind and I was taken for my massage on time. The downstairs in a nice atmosphere and the compliments end there.Im here for a massage not a hike through the tunnel like hallway with far too many stairs. Then I am placed in a cold unwelcoming room with tile floor and no rug to guard against freezing my feet. The quality of the bed is embarrassing(especially for expecting $90 for the service)with NO HEATING PAD!!!!!!!!! WTF are you kidding me!?!?!? The girl who massaged me(she was very nice so I wont name her) was awful.from the moment she touched me I knew it would be a disaster.I do relaxation massage at a spa so I especially know what Im talking about. I go other places too get mine done(who relaxes at work lol) It was as if she remembered a few techniques from school but had never had instruction on timing or consistancy or placement,I would have spoken up during the massage but it would have ended up me teaching her how to do it the whole time. I let the girl at the desk know it was the absolute worst massage of my life and all she had to say wasoh sorry, well have a nice day. Unacceptable! This is not how you handle a displeased client. Also, try having clients fill out medical forms!!!! Ive never not had to fill out a form to sign so they know any history of why you need the massage or things to be careful of. Overall they need some better spa staff who dont seem to be making it up as if its their first time. WORST MASSAGE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thank goodness i had a groupon or I would have demanded my money back. Dont waste your money!
I love this place! Great customer service, best massages in town, amazing, life changing hairstylists! I will NEVER go anywhere else! Even with a Groupon, they treat you like a million bucks!
Katrina and Kayla are experts when it comes to manicures and pedicures. Their attention to detail and exceptional service will keep me coming back to Solaire. Highly recommend either provider if you are looking for flawless results.
I had a wonderful time with my better half at the poem reading and the band was spectacular! The small plates were all delicious as well. I was very very pleased!
Loved this place! The salon had a great feeling to it, all the staff members were friendly and welcoming and Olivia did a fantastic job on my highlights! Ill definitely be back.
I get my hair done here and I love my stylist. As a hair salon I give it five stars. Ive always had a positive experience here.
Great place for facials! Love the decor and the back ways they take you up to your room. Very beautiful place and great service!
I went to the wine bar upstairs. That excellent food with good service. I will definitely try this place again the next time we are in town.
This place does great facials! I have gone several times with my wife. Very relaxing.
They are terribly owned and managed and they rip their employees off their last pay check. And act like your in the wrong for wanting it. They lie repeatedly about it also. Terrible place. Over charge under pay.
Kayla, the manicurist, was wonderful. Perfect nail polish application and sweet personality.
Best place to get hair cuts and upstairs is a little restaurant and it is delicious.
Brett is a genius.
