This is my home bar! 💚 they welcomed me the moment I moved to Kansas City and I have made a little family there. The drinks are the cheapest in the Kansas City area and they have HEAVY hands when pouring that alcohol! $2 vodka lemonades are gonna make an alcoholic out of me I swear 🤪 not really haha. They have nights where it’s packed out if you like that and they also have nights where it’s just you and a few others. So if you don’t like large crowds you can find some peace here or if you do like large crowds Saturday Latino night is a hit! They have Dart tournaments and a beautiful pool table! The outside patio has been updated and you can now safely smoke and drink while keeping an eye on the parking lot if you need to! They have consistent hours of operation and decent music! This place sure has grown on me over the last month. I keep finding myself drawn to hang out with a drink and my laptop on my off days because of the welcoming atmosphere. The bartenders are great, the establishment is clean, the other patrons are friendly. If you happen to catch one of the shows in the evenings, you wont regret it. They are a blast! Buddy also just had big screen TVs installed for the football games, so now you can watch from anywhere in joint and have a good seat!

Great little dive bar that is LGTBQ friendly and hosts regular drag shows that are open to the public and free to attend. I like to go to the Schatzie Show on Thursday nights at 9pm. Schatzie, Mora Reign, Amy Luck, and Sasha Blake all perform regularly. It’s a lot of fun and the crowd is very supportive.

THIS place is bar meets community center. Buddy takes good care of his customers and every time I’m in KCMO, I head to Sidekicks! Fun music, fun drag shows, fun people!

$5 cover, nobody here, $7 XX Amber. The potential drag show was an extended sound check. Empty ATM reloaded by bartender 15 minutes after blowing it all on drinks. Similar bars were packed and had $3 drinks, but overly crowded. Got punished for trying the underdog...and the toilets dont flush!

I came here after seeing event fliers posted out around KC. I arrive and it’s $10 a person to enter, which was not mentioned on their flier. I was excited about the event but nowhere in KC is charging a ten dollar cover. Ended up going home instead of paying.

What a GREAT experience. The bar staff is AMAZING!! Great prices. The place is obviously treated with love and respect. I Love the Drag shows and wide variety of entertainers. Shoot some darts bring a friend or 70 there is plenty of room and atmosphere. Buddy Belle Taylor/Starr is the owner and will become your FRIEND immediately.I highly recommend you come and enjoy when you visit Kansas City Mo.

Love this bar. Its always a good pit stop on my trip home to see family.Update: Stopped in Saturday night and had great time. Everyone was very friendly and the beer was flowing.

Love the family atmosphere for all LGBTQ community and an amazing new DJ on Friday nights for dancing. This place also holds the longest running, mainly drag king show, in the mid-west of almost 16 years. This show comes with the most amazing emcee I have ever seen on their Wednesday night drag show. Only time there is a cover charge is on Saturday night if you come in after 10pm. It is a 21+ bar with a wide variety different drag shows throughout the week.

I had been here before with a big group and had a nice bartender and had a great time... this time i went with a smaller group and it was horrible. Bartenders were rude. They ignored the women in my group but helped the men that walked up right away. The drink prices are crazy. $2 for a coke and no refills. The queens were cool to see and we like going somewhere LGBT but i dont know if it was worth how we were treated.

This was my first bar I went too after I turned 21, now it’s like the only place I go! I love going to sidekicks, buddy is amazing and such a great person!! the atmosphere is very laid back and chill it’s a great place to just go and relax after a long day the Thursday and Friday night shows are amazing also if u havnt seen it check it out!!!

We had a Great time... the Floor Show was Awesone as Always. Great Atmosphere & loads of fun.... the Gals were all extremely Talented.... Belle Star was Completely Captivating & so Amazinh to Watch.

Friendly staff great cheap drinks. My second time there. I will definitely be back. The owner was sitting at the bar scowling. Dont know what that was about but it was fun.

Sidekicks Saloon is one of my favorite Bars in the Kansas City, Missouri Metro area. Its a Bar that Welcomes Everybody, its also a Bar for the LGBT COMMUNITY, they have wonderful Staff, Ive known the owner Robert Buddy Taylor for the last 25 Years. My favorite Bartenders are Joe Fork, Tony Lear, Javier Gonzalez. They open up at 1pm till 3am. Drink speals from 1pm till 8pm Well Drinks are $2 and they Free Pour Never using Jiggers, 7 days a week. They have 2 Front Bars, and 1 Back Bar, where the Dance floor is. Kareoke Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday,Drag Queen show on Friday night, Latino Drag Queen Show on Saturday night, Drag King Show also known as the Buttwiser Bash. Several Beer Busts (All you can drink Beer for 4 hours). They have a pool table, Bar games, Several Dart Boards. Several Televisions for watching Sports games.

The place is absolutely local, endearing & fun! The prices are right. The KJ, Chad is a hottie & has a pretty impressive catalog and personality. A good time all around!

It wasnt terribly busy, but it was probably a typical crowd for a weeknight. The drag show wasnt very well organized, but some of the queens definitely gave it their all.

Cheap drink specials, ridiculous number of flavored vodkas to choose from if you want, $1/game pool table, friendly bar tenders. Decor could be updated a bit, but Id probably go again.

It stinks 😷 in that place! And the people seams to be a little racist with comments they make and think 🤔 it’s okay because they cater to a couple minorities.
