In The Lowest Ferns

Checked out this place last weekend and really loved the vibe and atmosphere. Decided to go back again yesterday because of a recommendation to check out CarlosZ and again the vibe did not disappoint. The crowd is full and drama free. Only disappointment for us is the drink menu. The drink menu doesnt match the venue in my opinion, and I feel like there should be some more simplicity when it comes to the drinks to make more efficiency due to small bar.

In The Lowest Ferns is a haven for dancing. The ambiance is impeccable. Each detail of this space was thoughtfully curated. The sound system set up so it doesnt hit the seating areas and you can sit and talk with friends or step into the center to dance. They are also always bringing in new international DJs as well as highlighting local DJs in a way that is refreshing. You pay for what you get, and there is a reason the cover is higher here, its not a dive bar, its an experience and Kansas City is fortunate to have this space.

Loved the vibes, added security, and seeing the Tesseract art installation was the highlight of the night. It’s a night club, but has a more intimate lounge feel with a dance floor that starts heating up around 9:00 when the DJ set begins. Good for drinks and convo before that. Will definitely be back for more.

If you are a hipster, you’ll love it. Cool spot, security is grossly overweight, so hope 🤞🏾nothing pops off or they are getting folded up.

First the bad. The selection of drinks was extremely limited. They were not innovative in any way or classic either. The lighting and interior design was on point. What a fabulous DJ from Chicago. I would highly recommend checking out.

Service is wonderful. Security is A Tier very polite and genuine. Atmosphere is great your safe to be yourself here and its relaxing. Definitely somewhere I wanna be when I want to just be me!

Vibe is amazing, but the “craft cocktails” were all terrible. Not sure how you can market craft cocktails and have them be so unbalanced. Save your $15 per cocktail and go with bottled beer, your tastebuds will thank you.

Great spot. Vibes are tip top and drinks are great. I did the worm. I did the electric bugaloo. One of the rare late night spots where you feel as though you are surrounded by good people w/ similar interests (to have a good time). Here + Swordfish Tom’s + Town Topic and it’s a wrap.

One of the coolest places Ive been in Kansas City, no doubt. However, their service and drinks do not match the level of the venue. I discovered this place on social media and wanted to give it a try after dinner one weekend. There was an obvious buzz about this place, so we were excited to visit. I was a little surprised to arrive to a $20 ticketed event and nothing but weak draft cocktails & well liquor. I really want this place to succeed but feel that they need to hire seasoned bartenders and stock the bar appropriately to create an experience that people want to come back to time and time again.

This place has an incredible atmosphere. Offering an eclectic range of DJ’s and musicians who play anything from deep, vinyl, disco cuts to live jazz. If you’re looking for a proper education of the underground music scene, this spot is for you. I’m also seeing some distasteful comments about the appearance of others. To those who leave them, it’s best to leave your ego checked at the door with your coat. From my experience, this place has offered nothing but a welcoming environment, where new friends can be made to accompany you on the musical journey of the night.

Nice vibe. About $20 tickets, card only at the bars and tap is available at one. Plenty of seating and an intimate space.

Cool new place although not my vibe. Drinks are terrible, as there is no actual selection. They even somehow messed up a simple order when we were the only people at the bar. They didnt have coke and gave me vodka when i asked for rum.

Very cool vibe, but one tiny bar in the whole place and $55 for two people is ridiculous.

Terrible service. Bartenders are unaware of their patrons. Will pick and choose who orders next. Slow service. There was also talk of one of the lady bartenders with super hairy armpits which disgusted them and myself.

Bartenders were 👎… only had one or two working and ignored me while I waited for 15/20mins … ridiculous after paying $20 entrance fee
