VooDoo Hut

We ate outside in the Garden. The “garden” is designated as their family friendly area and allows folks under 21. They have good bar food and the atmosphere is fun. Our service was not good, but I think the waiter may have just been overwhelmed.

I have been in the area forever and this is the best time ever. I only visited because I live in the area and my boyfriend and I have seafood date night. I think I saw a post of the prices and recommended it. The seafood and everything was the best price ever. But it was delicious. Some of the best tasting seafood I have tasted. The non seafood offerings were amazing. The music was amazing. The people were fun. It is the most fun time I had in the area and we just had dinner. I cant wait to visit again.

Came for the boiled seafood. We ordered the crawfish and crab leg boil. Both came in a personal seafood pot. I personally was not a fan of the boiled seafood. I ended up getting the OH smash burger and OMGGG !! I think about that burger often lol. From the food quality, to the price, it does not get much better than that. This place has a nice vibe with patio access and a live DJ. I would come back for the burger alone.

We had not been here in a while, but so glad we went back! The food is ridiculously affordable, and everything tasted delicious. Alana served us and she was attentive and delightful. Cocktails were inventive and oh so good…I had the Simbi Snot and Husband ordered the Painkiller. We got the boudin eggrolls for an appetizer, then shrimp basket for me and OG burger for him. All good. The onion rings have a very light and delicious batter. We’ll be back soon! 👍

I havent had one bad experience. I usually come with my LO and do the outdoor seating. Very good prices. Lexi, my server is always on point. Everyone is VERY nice and friendly. Everything Ive tried so far.... amazing. My favorites are the seafood boil, shrimp tacos, pizza, wings.... you be the judge.

Such a cool place!!! The server was awesome and the bartender was cool. We were there for lunch and I just loved it!!

We tried them the first time today the visit started off rocky. The waitress approached our table of 6 with a horrible attitude! She stated she had a lot of tables, and only could do our drink orders. There was no drink menu on the table, so we asked for one, she slowly found one and tossed it on the table. I’m assuming a large workload gave her the green light to have horrible customer service skills with the attitude to match. The best thing she did was to go get the manager Jake. He quickly turned this bad experience around to a positive one. He was very attentive and helpful with all our questions and the food was amazing! Because of this we will be back !! Thank you Jake !! The only reason the rating is a 4 is because of the waitress!

Cool spot to stop for a drink and food when the weather is nice. It’s very kid friendly during the day with plenty of games to play (corn hole, billiards, jenga, etc). They also had some decent drink specials.

We are sad that it took us 2 years to find this place. My wife and I are not big drinkers and we always passed this place thinking it was a bar only. Saw a post on a Facebook group (bahfl) and we opted to try it. We are SUPER happy we did. The food is NOT your run of the mill barfood and is definitely elevated. Smash burgers are delicious and include lots of goodies like avocado at no upcharge. We had wings Buffalo, Korean BBQ, and General tso and all were meaty and sauced well, burgers are juicy and seasoned well and the bulgoie fries had plenty of toppings. Cocktails are fun and are well balanced.Finally they are surprisingly family friendly with a great family friendly outside area with plenty games to play. We will definitely be back.

First time here and WOW! We arrived right when it open and it is definitely a site to see inside! You got skulls , paintings, dolls on swings and much more! LEXY was our waiter and let me just say she was AMAZING! Our drinks were never empty and she’s such a sweet soul! Now to the best part…. FOOD! We had wings, crawfish,shrimp and crab! As a seafood connoisseur I can tell you that the cooks know what they are doing. Everything was seasoned to perfection and the right amount of spice to feel it but not ruin the flavor of the food! Can’t wait to come back again and again!

The VooDoo Hut is a diamond in the rough if you’ve in Kemah TX, outside of Galveston , on the Kemah Broad-walk , you must eat at The VooDoo Hut. The food is amazing. We met the chef. I believe his name was Jay, amazing food. We don’t drink but they do serve adult beverages. Everyone was very friendly, they gave some pretty good recommendations on what to eat, food prices are very, very reasonable very acceptable to us,and Very clean. The VooDoo Hut is 10 stars for Team White.

We came in on a Wednesday, drove in from Pearland. Just because it was a nice day! Very dope establishment. My bartender was RYAN ! Very attentive and accommodating! I had the loaded fries, boiling crab pot and a virgin drink! Everyone was friendly and welcoming !! I will definitely be back for the weekend !! Highly RECOMMENDED ‼️

I’ve been here a few times and cannot believe I hadn’t write review. Went this weekend (yesterday a Saturday) and had fun. I was however so disappointed that I tried to order a pizza and could not because they were out of pepperonis!?So we had to leave earlier than we wanted to go find a pizza place because I really wanted pepperoni pizza.Drinks are always good here the bartenders show love! Def recommend.

So my cousin was visiting from Canada, I wanted to show him this cool place only to get disappointed, we got served old, burnt fries. The bartender didnt care and refused to give us new ones. Not cool. Overall, it was a letdown.

Possibly the worst service I’ve ever received. Me and my fiancé went for an evening out on the boardwalk and we’re looking for good restaurants. From the outside this establishment seemed appealing. We found out very quickly that It was the complete opposite the second We stepped in the door. My partner literally had to flag down a server after waiting for 10 to 15 minutes to get even acknowledged. On top of that, the bartender was rude and had an attitude immediately for literally no reason when I was asking about any drink specials. We ordered the simplest appetizer ever, which was a large order of cheese fries. After waiting 25 minutes (more than likely longer), we decided to cancel the order, paid for our tab and left. We went to an establishment across the street that treated us how we deserved, and provided five star quality. I will never return here. Something serious needs to be done about the level of service because there isn’t any. Horrible treatment for my first and last visit.

Came in for a few drinks and were blown away by not only the band Bianxa, but also the menu prices being so affordable! That alone is going to be the reason why we go to Voodoo every day during our stay here. But to top it off, the design of the place is unique and makes you want to look at every single thing. And in the day time, youre able to see that much more! :)

I came in with my friend and our waitress name was LILO. She was so attentive and nice. We had never been here and she answered all our questions and recommended things on the menu in her honest opinion which we really appreciated. Constantly checked on us and made sure we were okay. It was all around fantastic because of her. We will definitely be back and asking for her ! The food was great and she was amazing ! If you come in ask for her for a 10 out of 10 experience! She was awesome !

Man, what a great place. Great service food was good, service was great love our waitress she was great. Great prices too.Outlaw Dave was there and it was a great show to. Had a blast celebrating my wife’s birthday there, our waitress Eva was on point bringing us our drinks and making sure we were alright every 5-10 minutes. The DJ was jamming some good music so I definitely recommend if you need a good night in Kemah, this is the place to go!

My girl Eva takes care of us all the time love this sweet girl. She does her job very well and always has your drink full. Come see her if your in the Kemah area!!

On a quick trop to kemha we stopped at this bar and ended staying the whole night here. Good atmosphere and great balrtending service ..would recommend .

Nit a bad spot... kinda dead for a thursday but lets see now things go when the weekend hit... Bayley was my bartender and she did great. Answered all my questions and her advice was top notch... went to other bars and they treated me to here u drink peace... so far, if ur at kemah boardwalk... just go to voodoo...

The VooDoo Hut is a real gem to this area. We came during the off season and this place still had great specials and a good crowd going all week. Drinks were different but extremely good and well made. My whole group ended up buying some shirts off the clearance section which was a great deal. I would recommend this place to anyone coming through the area.

I can’t say enough great things about the food at this place!!! We’ve tried a variety of items from the menu and have been super impressed with everything from the queso to the crab bowl. Everything is priced at a really great value and has always been fresh and delicious. They seriously had the fattest and most juicy steamed shrimp I’ve had from a restaurant in MONTHS! Major kudos to the VooDoo Hut. 10/10 recommend for the dining, atmosphere, and great drinks!!

I went in to grab lunch with some friends and had never had the crawfish. The food was very good and greatly priced! My waitress name was Lilo and she was so nice and helpful! She answered any questions we had and checked in us regular ! We will be back and asking for her !

The 10.99 seafood pot deal is AWESOME!! The crab and shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the seasoning was delicious. The spicy butter sauce was great too. Extremely friendly service, definitely my recommendation for grub if you’re visiting kemah :)

I’m taking time to make this review because there is a special person there and her name is Morgan !!! This was my first time there so I called and she answered the phone and answered all my questions and said I could bring my apple head Chihuahua .When I got there it being a new place to me I started to have anxiety but there was MorganShe greeted us , loved on my fur baby and made me feel very acceptedShe went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and helped us decided on what to order. We will definitely be back and ask for herWe need more Morgan’s in this world

Wasnt very impressed with the food. The sreet corn was not authentic street corn and the loaded fries and the taco lacked flavor. The service and the crazy cool vibe is likely what keeps them afloat. I will say I saw a lot of people eating crawfish bowls. So that may be something desirable if thats your thing. I liked the free games and crazy drinks. I also liked that it wasnt far from the boardwalk activities.

Just left a bigger tip because the bartender and food were fabulous. Bartender worked hard to keep obnoxious customer away from me. Unfortunately manager ignored me 3 times to talk to girl next to me. Bartender gets it, manager not so muchGlad i could afford to reward job well done.

I have always loved coming here and recently I had an even better time! Lilo was so attentive and made us feel really welcome I had so much fun with her as our waitress! 10/10! Will be returning

Bartender and manager were attentive and on point. Food and prices great! (Pizza 10$ and will feed me twice!) If you are in kemah, you won’t be disappointed. So glad 146 construction is easier now to go otb! Thumbs up! 👍👍

Pretty cool place to hang out and have some drinks. Not too happy about the bottom line of the sign though. I wont be back because of this.

Loved the vibe. Music was ok the Dj was doing some interesting mixing lol. Great outdoor space with games and TVs. Drinks were pretty good but kinda pricey. I like my drinks a bit stronger than these were but the bartender was a nice guy and remembered us all night.

What a great place to go have a cold one. Fun, unique atmosphere, fair prices on booze, a young trendy staff, weird art and frescoes everywhere, even the urinal is a weilded keg. Want to get out of tye tourist trap in Kemah but stay within walking distance? This is a cool dive and highly reccomended. Id guess we are coming back on our next roadtrip from here.

The service was absolutely horrible, and they were not even busy. We stopped in for a quick bite and were there for over 2 hours waiting on our food. We only saw our server 3 times the entire time, and we had to keep looking for her. Personally, I would not go back if the service is like that all the time.The games were fun to watch the kids out in the patio area.

Love coming here and our server Eva helps us out every time, ask for her when yall go you wont regret it!!

Went there the other day and my server was named Alanna she was a great server very sweet girl always making sure we had everything we needed and making sure our food was good. Loved the service for sure!

Ive been there the last 2 Sundays and its taken over an hour and a 1/2 to get weighted on food. Im not sure if that could be helped or not? Seems like wait staff is doing what they can without food to serve 🤔. Like they look the other way for thirty minutes before they wait on you. Lol Definitely not looking to seat or take orders.

BY FAR THE BEST SEAFOOD I HAVE EVER HAD! The FRIED SHRIMP ARE A MUST!!!!!The only thing I didnt enjoy were the sodas (i think they added too much syrup to the soda machine) But IDC ABOUT THAT! WOW!

Food was good and the kareoke was good, boy in the hood did it! However the bartenders were not it, I thgoht they had good drink, and I order off menu,,, Long Island, it only had only had one liquor and not lime usually done, not sure if they are aware of the receipe

Randomly saw this place looking through all the places to eat near boardwalk and wow they didnt disappoint! Fyi its 21 and up but if that fits your group its a great choice. I had the piggy burger which i left as is, which typically i wouldnt of wanted the onions but gave it a shot and glad i did, the whole burger just worked together! 2 mixed drinks, which the drink is next to the name in pic. Both were great and so was my wifes, had to try hers :) Wife had the Muffuletta and I had a bite and it doesnt disappoint for sure. First time here but will for sure return with friends! Afterwards take a short walk to cool cow creamery for some ice cream.. trust me :)

Coming on a Saturday, even though the place is spacious and large, the tables were all occupied. The atmosphere inside was quite hot, perhaps due to the dense crowd. I havent had the chance to order any drinks or food here because there were no tables available, but I think the DJs music was quite good and really makes you want to find a table. Looks like Ill have to come earlier next time.

Ive walked by this place 100s of times. Always a vibe but just never went in. I shouldve stayed the path and kept walking this time. It wasnt that busy so we were seated in the back open area. We were told they were short staffed and we were fine, that happens. We placed our orders and sat back to enjoy the atmosphere. And waited for our food, super hungry because I was looking forward to the crawfish boil. Well, we waited, and waited and waited. My husbands dinner came out and mine didnt. Surely it will come out right after. OK, never mind that hopeful assumption. Switched from thinking it would be right after, to soon after.Nope. It didnt. It didnt come out. AT ALL. The server was walking past us several times and no acknowledgement, no hey were behind, or hey your meal isnt ever coming out. Her attitude was .....indifferent. she didnt care if I was thirsty, or needed my dinner. When I asked for the check, she was ready to ring it up. I realized that she didnt know, or care that I had not been served. So I told her to take the crawfish off the bill. Chick acted like ....surprised but then indifferent. No apologies, no acknowledgement that hmmm this woman did not get her meal and her husband finished his meal.First impressions will be our last impression. We will definitely not be back and instead go across the street to Skallywags where the food quality is waaaay better (the meal my husband ate was cold.)

My absolute favorite place to have a good time!! Doesnt matter how old you are, where youre from, or who you know - everyone has fun at Voodoo Hut.indoor/outdoor...plenty of space, games, good music (best DJs, bands, & acoustic sets), good drinks, good food, and staff that take care of everyone in the best way possible.

Great place to get an awesome and inexpensive lunch with the family. Young kid friendly! Met Jake, the chef! Very friendly and made great suggestions for lunch. One of his specialties is the Boudin egg rolls! AWESOME! Go try it out!

Great food, service is nice but a bit slow, they used to have great prices but just raised them. My main complaint is the extra $5 for cauliflower crust on a 10” pizza.

I’m giving a 1 star and only for service. We sat ourselves adjacent to the bar, bartender and 2 servers made eye contact but never even acknowledged us. We finally left. Wish we weren’t hungry and had some food to review. I hope you have better luck.

Great Kemah spot for locals and tourists alike. Friendly staff, great selection, tasty food and fun atmosphere for almost everybody, except crabby people. We come back again and again and again.

The person boil pot with Shrimp and Crab is amazing! The spices were spot on!

Have been here a few times and it’s nice and loud but this experience we had yesterday for karaoke night was horrible, we paid $20 for us to sing 2 songs and then when we wanted to sing again the guy said “shot me a $20” he has his friends singing the whole night if it was a pick and choose karaoke they should just say that. This is a pic of the guy that was there singing most songs and there was 2 other dudes too anyways yeah other nights are fun but we already go and drink and tip and for a free karaoke night I don’t think we should of paid at allAnd my husband paid so because it was my birthday

Spleenripper here, we always have a awesome time when we go to the Voodoo hut in kemah Texas, its a jammin time Sunday evening starting at 930 pm come join us for a awesome time.

Cheap drinks, but the music sounds like it is from an early 2000s failed rap amateur. Would be great if they gave out ear plugs or played a more diverse selection

Crawfish arent that great. Their seasoned butter & tartar sauce are not tasty. And they charge u to death for every little thing. They even itemize & charge u for every type of liquor that goes into every drink! For example... a friend ordered a dirty martini & has always been charged $4. Another day she ordered the same drink & was charged $6.25. She inquired about the price change & was told thats bcuz we added vermouth. Um, thats 1 of the 3 ingredients of a dirty martini.$8.99 per lb. Crawfish$0.50 ea per butter$1.00 ea same tiny container as butter for tartar sauce5 lbs crawfish $44.95added 2 corn, 4 potatoes, 2 butter, 2 tartars $9.05Total $53If we r paying $50+ for food, there r better places to go with better quality food.The service was mediocre at best... I mean when u have to ask for melted butter 3x before u finally get it for ur crawfish, thats not good service.

The bar in the van was probably the only thing I liked about this place. I was trying to impress some friends from Florida but I got out real quick. The bartenders were rude, the beers were hot and overpriced. I didn’t try the food because the first impression ruined it for me me.

Weve been here many times, but this was the first time going here for the new menu. We took our daughter for lunch. First off, I love that theyre allowing under 21 from 11 to 7. We stopped going when they stopped allowing our teens to go eat with us. There was one bartender when we went, and he served us. He was very friendly. We didnt get much service, but he was alone, so thats totally fine with us. The prices are amaaaaazing. I mean, amazing. We had a steak street taco plate. It was yummy, including the salsa and charro beans. I will say they werent really street tacos as Im used to them. The steak was more like fajita beef if that makes sense and is not seasoned much. We ordered 2 reaper smash burgers and fries. They both loved them. Theyre pretty spicy but not too spicy. The fries looked hand cut and tasted good. The queso Blanco is delicious as well. The only thing that kinda bugged me (just a big pet peeve of mine) was that I asked for the queso and specifically said for an appetizer, and it was brought with our meals. Generally, I would ask you to take it back and remove it from the bill please but like I said, there was only one person working, so I didnt say anything. Cant wait to go back and try some more of their menu!

The food here is affordable and good. The atmosphere after 9 pm is definitely not my choice but good for young adults life.

I was so let down last time going to voodoo. I always have a good time but last Saturday I went and I had reserved a table a week in advance, got there on time for my table. was hanging out for a little while then went to the dance floor when I came back to my table the waitress had ripped my reservation sign off the table and sat someone else there. The staff was unable to get me another table. So if you reserve a table, don’t leave it because they won’t honor your reservation.

Great place except for David the Karaoke Host... Line of people waiting to sing and you play some gansta rap in between every song, and you sing every 3rd song? Really? Is this how karaoke works these days? Nope, go out all the time and this is not how valid host work. Your $20 cash tip went to someone else that knows how to run a show.

This place keeps Halloween spirits alive and is very fun with indoor and outdoor games.

Been to alot of clubs this one however really stood out. Great atmosphere bartenders were a little rude however the place was packed. Great music lighting all around awesome experience

Sat for 20 minutes before I had to flag a server down to finally order something only to be told the kitchen is closed for 45 minutes at dinner time. Seems like a cool place but we left.

Fun afternoon with live music, good drinks, and yummy food! Shrimp and grits were delicious, and crab balls were full of crab and served hot. Margaritas were nicely priced, and really good. Enjoyed the outside breeze blowing in.

Worse experience ever the DJ doesnt know what he is doing I mean really you sabotage me twice the first time really was un called for the second time you sped it up was not right really I wanted to tell u just what I thought of you cause worse dj ever I will not be back

We stopped at two other places before deciding on VooDoo Hut. We’re so glad we did. The pasta and shrimp basket were amazing. The live band was very versatile and sounded great. This place is suitable for non-smokers, smokers, indoors, outdoors, etc. 100% recommend!!

I loved how many different areas there was to enjoy. There was an outdoor area with a bar. Great place to hang out. Then there was the “club” area where they had smoke machines and ladies came out waving fire. Then there was the pool area where we spent most our time. Service was as expected and drinks were served in styrofoam cups. Cocktails were not consistent in quality but that’s what you would expect from a place that does this much service.

Wow! What an unexpectedly out of the way corner of The Macabre! Great potions are indeed made here; Eye of Newt, Toe of Frog, Measure of Mars Attacks, Breath of Betelgeuse, Pinch of Pumpkin King, a Slash of Edward Scissorhands.Seriously, we enjoyed a great selection of drinks served by simply the most awesome young ladies tending bar. All in all, a marvelously malevolent decent into an absolute non-absolution of divine fun.

Seriously BE CAREFUL GOING HERE IF YOU ARE GAY! I can not stress this enough. I saw the wait staff and bouncer being openly rude and discriminatory towards my friends because they were gay. If I could give zero stars, I would. Seriously, where are the owners or management? Gay people are less messy and tip well. Way to go, guys.

A waitress had me kicked out because she claimed I urinated on myself; even the door guy seemed confused about this as my pants were dry, and I was stone cold sober since i dont drink. The only thing he could think of was that I said something to her; though I kept to myself the entire night and wore earbuds as the music is too loud for me and I didnt speak to anyone else all night. Being an obviously gay man, the only thing I can think of is that she felt uncomfortable with that and elected to have me removed.I will gladly speak with a manager about this issue as I am sure that it is just a misunderstanding and I would prefer for this waitress to feel comfortable while working. This happened 09/29/2023 at around 1:15 am.

Messed up one of our orders, couldn’t wait another 20 mins to get another one.Service was slow, waitress knew we were on a lunch break yet proceeded to take care of multiple tables after we gave her our card!!! Then walked off to the bar and was MIA.We were waiting over 10 mins for her to get it back .. ridiculous inconsiderate and just oblivious!

No children allowed 🚸🚫 21+ onlyThey should definitely allow children! It is a bar, but so cool inside with awesome intricate decor. SO FUN!! & I think my son would really love this place, too! They have these really cool hand statues outside that one could ideally sit on and theyre all painted differently. Such a unique vibe! 🤩

I have been in search of the best pizza in the Clear Lake-League City Kemah area for some time. Nothing has come close to authentic New York style pizza until I got the Voodoo 20 New York style pizza. OK. The way to eat this pizza is plain cheese. You can eat it fresh, but thats not where the magic happens. Freeze that puppy. Reheat after frozen. Set the oven to 400. Set the timer to 9 minutes. My friend committed suicide so I thought I would start my night off having one beer an some food here. Because of my speech impediment I stuttered about which beer I wanted and the bartender Garrett walked away from me. Shortly after, the Manager came over (Rachel I believe) and asked me which beer I wanted, which at this time I knew what style of wheat beer I wanted. Immediately when she went to go to grab my beer, the bartender whispered something to her and all of a sudden they would not serve me. It was brought to my attention that my “hesitant” response which was due to the bartender having no patience, resulted in them refusing to serve me food. Mind you I am a respected security guard and local who just lost their friend and the workers at Voodoo Hut discriminated against me because I stuttered. Completely ruined my experience going there. Especially after building relationships with other fellow security officers who work for that establishment.

I had such a great experience here. The atmosphere was very fun and open. I loved the decor, the food, and the drinks. There was live music and an area where you could play corn hole or pool. It was kid friendly and dog friendly. The drink menu had a great selection. The food food was fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed the menu selection and price was very reasonable. Our waiter was such a sweet heart and very friendly. I wish I would have gotten his name but next time I’m in kemah I will come back for sure.

Let me say this, I have never had so much fun at a bar on a Tuesday night before in my life. At first glance, it looked promising but when I sat at the bar after showing my brother and cousin around kemah, Velvet took it to 1000% and made the night so memorable. She signed us up to perform songs said night, just so happen to be karaoke night and we had a blast. And it’s thanks to her wonderful customer service that I will be coming back, and wouldn’t have, had it not been for Velvet. Again, Thank you so much! Love doctor out!

If you want to feel welcome and at home and have a great time! Voodoo hut is a great place to be. Brice my server did such a great job making this place feel like home. You can tell he’s passionate about what he does and gave me so many different drink options and I just had to tell him what liquor I liked. Fun environment, and great music! I will definitely be making this my new go too spot!

We waiting 30-40 minutes for someone to wait on us, asked multiple wait staff if we could get service and they said someone would be over but never came. Very disappointing

Amazing drinks Jordan is the best fun atmosphere. But when I told one bartender that the bouncer let me in when I was only 20 with a group of friends over the age of 21, she got mad at ME and has been rude ever since. Youd think that as a company they would want to know that the bouncers are letting in minors she called me a snitch and that I snitch on the three bars that let me in, last time I came in. To my knowledge that bouncers has been gone since before I turned 21. If it were me Id want to know that my bouncers are braking the law. Other than that this place is amazing. Amazing vibes great atmosphere great drinks etc.

Great place we just discovered! Cant believe I didnt try it sooner. Amazing food, super chill and fun environment. The service was fantastic. They allowed my pup onto the outdoor patio with us and were so welcoming and sweet about her being there! Even brought her some treats!

Everything was great aside from the prices on the check did not match the prices on the menu. She tried saying they were up-charges (they were not mentioned on the menu either).Update after response from owner: The waitress DID review the receipt and took it to her boss who is the one that told me all the prices were correct on the receipt.

Yesterday we visited the voodoo hut to get some of their crawfish. Unfortunately, twice we were told that they did not feel the crawfish were up to their standards to be cooked. However, since we waited for them to cook a batch, they actually comped all of our food, the fact that they were straightforward and told us they refused to serve us half par crawfish was awesome. This place is definitely worth a visit. Thanks again guys it was an awesome start to my Mother’s Day weekend. The Crawfish was awesome and definitely worth the wait.

I really wish that there was a rating of less than a star to give on reviews because my experience here certainly warrants it. I came here last night with a group of family members visiting from out of town. The location and theme of the place plenty interesting, but thats where the positive part of the experience ends. Our waitress apparently had just started working here again after some time off started by being rude when we asked for menus to order something to eat. Then she proceeded to tell us when asked what was good here or popular being our first visit replied with I am not going to tell you if anything isnt good here. After that, she would disappear for long periods and return with an attitude each time. While here several fights broke out, and while I understand the establishment doesnt control the people that come in it certainly doesnt make for a great first experience.Then we come to the worst part of the experience and why I felt compelled to write this review in the first place... The waitress insisted that the establishment needed to hold my ID and card to keep an open tab. Ive let an establishment hold my card plenty of times, but never my ID and card together. Having read plenty of positive reviews before our visit and in the name of fun, I relented. When the check came I decided to use a different card (credit card for safety reasons) we paid and left to check out some other places. I woke up today to find that my original card information had been compromised and charges were attempted in another state.Im certain that the compromise happened in this establishment because other than letting our waitress hold it for purposes of our tab I havent used or linked it to anywhere else for quite some time, and it seems little coincidence to wake up this morning after such a seemingly odd policy.. and now they potentially have the information from my ID as well... Scary!

I am from out of state came to this place from people recommending it. The place was cool, atmosphere was great the band was good. However I have worked in customer service for years and would have never treated a customer like Jasmine the bartender that night did. She was hateful her attitude was horrible her facial expressions was horrible. However her coworkers were great the waitress Ashlynn and security and the gentleman behind the bar was nice and friendly !! Just put Ashlynn behind the bar.If your having a bad night don’t take it out on your customers that’s a good way to loose business

Our hotel recommended this place to us for dinner.We were told that families were welcome and then at 8 PM it became a nightclub/bar. The food was pretty good however the music was entirely too loud! We could not even carry on a conversation:/ It took entirely too long to get water + they blared a kid rock song that had explicit lyrics. They were obviously short staffed as there was only one girl waiting on all of the tables.TG She was super nice (I felt sorry for her)! They should not allow families in here. at. all.At one point I looked around and there were other families that were also really disappointed. This place is definitely not. family. friendly. The food was good, however it was very slow because again there was only one waitress to like 15 tables. The biggest negative was the music was blaring right in our ears! ...AND to my shock and disbelief they played a kid rock song with FU in it and my 12 and 10 yr old children and my 75yo MIL were sitting with me... we looked around and other families were also quite surprised that they were playing a song with such offensive lyrics so early! We will not be returning.

I went on a Saturday night , it was packed!! They had a DJ , and the service was fast . They also have a taco bar , which I didnt try but looked good.

Protect your wallet. They will rob you. The bartenders that is. I brought my date there this weekend we bought a few drinks and left. My tab was $110.00, I didn’t realize till later when I read an itemized bill. I was charged $110 for 6 drinks. And one of those drinks was a beer. They charged me $52 for two single shot bourbon and cokes. Literally charged me for the most expensive bourbon they have while serving me well drinks. If you like averaging $18/drink when you open a tab and getting takin advantage of... this is the place for you. Driving up your customer’s tab to charge a larger tip is really pathetic and sad. As a business owner myself. I would never rip off my clients. And it’s illegal. BBB.

The place and staff were great . The Manager was an a--hole . We asked him to put on the basketball game and he acted like it was a major task . He then told us there was no crawfish after 9 . It was 8:30. Then he asked for ID he didnt like I was from California . He thought I was a gangster . Im a 57 year old father of 3 . At that point he told his staff not to put liquor in our drinks . We had already ordered food . So we cancelled the food and asked for the bill for my cranberry juice. He said he would take care of it . So much for wanting tourist dollars or Texas Hospitality . The waitress was very nice and was confused by Her Manager .

Atmosphere is fantastic I love the way the bar looks inside and out. Prices are about fair for a beach side bar and even during this time its still lively. Drinks are also great and the distance between tables are good for those who want some space.

Good vibes. The drinks are reasonably priced and reasonable strength. It wasnt too busy the night I went but the dj did a great job of bringing the people to the dance floor. There was a mildewy/ musty smell that I couldnt get over but all and all good time.

Im with the bad reviews on here.. we had a big group that was having a great time.. actually making the best of it moment.!! The rudness was unbelievable, both by the bartender and our waitress! The waitress was the worst waitress I have had EVER. the band was rocking and our group made the best of it.. yes we still tipped her very good and even then she was extremely rude and terrible.. this was the kicker though....they kept bringing food that we didnt order..she placed her hand above the food to see if it was still hot and then took it.. we were drinking over this food and enjoying the band.. It was great! We had brunch and our waitress was super sweet and amazing and the live entertainment was nice! The only issue (that has nothing to do with yall) was a couple sitting by the wall near the steps (outdoor area) snapping pics or video of us. Our veteran brother came to town and chose this place to grab a bite and yes, it was more than 10 of us, but we sat at separate tables with 4-6 per table. It was outdoors and we were all wearing masks. When me and my husband got there, the guy had his phone up towards us, then when my nephew showed up, his lady friend did the same. Other than that, I loved my experience there and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Id love to go back for drinks when it gets cooler.

Bouncer was rude, I was looking for the restaurant and the bouncer told my friends and I “the kiddie section is over there” I am 24 years old all I wanted was to eat not to drink. Doesn’t mean I am a kid, it was just an unnecessary comment but thank you for thinking Im young looking..The restaurant side of the location, we got our ID’s checked again…even though it was as referenced “the kiddie section” our waitress was nice enough but our food came in the wrong order food first, appetizer second. Really weird. Overall not a good experience, the owner needs friendlier staff.

Man this place is nuts on the weekends. Crazy amounts of people here. The staff does a great job of keeping everyone served and charged right. Never had any wrong on my end. Security it good so when stuff pops off(which it does regularly) its handled. Drinks are reasonably priced and good. If you want a quiet bar atmosphere no the place. If you want to remember college then this is it.

Love the art and concept. Good crowd and DJ later at night. Older crowd during the day around 10 it get super pack and then into a great place to chill ans listen to the DJ. Been there multiple time during afternoon hours to watch Baseball also good crowd. One down size drinks are expensive. Good bartender too!

I am from Houston and this was my first time coming to this place. I came to celebrate my friends birthday and was looking forward to having some fun! One of my friends ordered The same drink as me and ended up withA different glass when he wanted the exact same thing I had. the lady bartender had an attitude with him and was just rude she said “he was wasting her time”my friends who were celebrating their birthday had an issue with them over charging which may have been fixed but still so rude some of the bouncers were nicer then the bartenders!! I work in retail so I get when your busy but still there is no reason to be rude and they call it customer service for a reason never coming here again there was only one bartender in the bar inside that was even nice enough to tip!! Lesson learned!!

The food is good, after looking at previous reviews it looks like the common denominator is a rude bartender. Yesterday I ordered a shot, the bartender placed the lime too close to the edge, it spilled & said she had to charge me for another drink if I wanted one. Since when does an employees incompetency have to be paid by the customer? I consider that robbery. Considering reporting them to the TABC, as it seems that she’s shorting the drinks too.

It’s gotten really ghetto over the years, plenty of people snorting coke in the bathrooms and lots of fights break out. I’d avoid this place on a Saturday night, a hive of drug activity and violent people that can’t handle their alcohol

I went to support the band playing on the patio, InDaSkies, who were kicking off their Summer tour. Yes, it was the 4th of July and parking was a joke. The service was average to below average. Never had a waitress approach the table the entire time I was there. Dont know if they didnt have any or if I was overlooked. I had messaged the club earlier in the day to see if they were pet friendly on the patio, still havent gotten a response 2 days later. So much for timely responses. Their prices are a bit higher, but that has more to do with the location. Not a bad place, will probably return if the right band is playing but wont go out of my way to drop in. ✌

The music is getting unacceptable... the atmosphere is better when the DJ actually plays GOOD music. Nobody wants to hear EDM remixes the whole night. A little here and there is fine but the worst part is when you think a song you know is playing and you start getting hype and really into its but then it changes and starts to sound like robots ....

Don’t expect getting high quality food and drinks. This is an average bar with cool interior and sometimes good live music.Food is mediocre, drinks are pre-made and not high quality.Waiters and staff don’t take covid seriously and barely wear their masks. Our waiter even asked if she could take the mask off while serving us since is was “hard to speak through it”. Not okay!

Voodoo Hut is an amazing place! My daughter threw a surprise party for me there on the open air palapa deck with 45 people in attendance last weekend. Shawna Spozio, one of the managers, along with servers Ben and Ashlynn, did a fabulous job! Ive enjoyed brunch at Voodoo Hut on Sundays (offered on Saturdays and Sundays) before but had never been to a party there. Just Wow! Great food! Wonderful drinks! Great prices! Shawna Spozio worked with my daughter on the decorations, contacted Cat Scratch Kitchen to provide fabulous cupcakes and cakes, and made sure everything went smoothly. The live band inside was wonderful and we could hear it outside. All of my friends were very pleased and plan to come back.

Im literally at this place now and the bartender made me a drink with a fly in it. I didnt notice it untill after a few sips, my husband seen it first. My first experience and last. The manager didnt even want to come out to speak with us. Poor management. Will never return.

I enjoy Visiting Voodoo every chance I get, their facility and bathrooms are clean, atmosphere is energizing and every time I go I see a decoration that I hadnt seen before. They have live entertainment and the waitstaff are helpful and seem to enjoy their jobs. They have Amazing Food! I dont go out to restaurants for breakfast because Im a picky when it comes to my eggs but Cat Scratch are on Point and I dont hesitate to eat brunch there. And I really enjoy their Crawfish too! I try to go to Voodoo everytime Im in Kemah Im definitely part of the Voodoo Cult ✌🖤✌

Most tables are in a covered section.Kid enjoyed the mini corn dogs.Crawfish was just the right amount of spice and garlic that anyone can enjoy them.Full bar so the drink options are also good.The service was fantastic and the cook boiling the crawfish that we sat next to was entertainmenting the kid the entire time.We will be back!

We had crawfish from 4 different spots on the boardwalk and here were our results.Over AllShelby from Bakkhus was amazing. Obvious people person, great personality with the customer service to match. She made us an AMAZING drink, electric blueberry lemonade. More laid back atmosphere.Brice from voodoo hut gave us excellent customer service! We had their drinks during the day and it was not that great, but we did go back later that night and had an awesome drink that was recommended by Jevin. Both of these guys are new and gave awesome customer service. Very fun atmosphere. Rowdy crowd at night.Twisted Parrot has been open for 1 month. Great people, reminds of a bar that every one knows your name. Home feeling with great customer service. Cayla made us a drink called masterbating mosquito; it was tasty. Very nice accommodating staff. Laid back atmosphere.Alans swamp shack had the largest crowd. Seems family friendly. Drucila was our waitress and she was very nice and gave us good customer service. Young crowd, service was not great, and a bit too much like a carport or an open garage type feel. If you want very laid back casual, younger crowd this is your place. The food looked good but didnt get to try any.

This place needs more waitress and bartenders. Drinks were weak and not worth money very high rate of $$$. Also very limited of type of drinks. Music ok. Jameson sponsor had two pallet of merchandise for samples and didnt give customers a chance to try it.??? Make sure you bring your own group of friends to have funny.. If you dont you going to have boring time try to get drinks at the bar.

The Security Officers that are dressed up like SWAT officers and bouncers are definitely overzealous about their job. I could post the whole experience with that, but It would take about 5 paragraphs. The reason they didn’t get a 1 star is because the female manager handled it good, at least made us feel like it was handled good.Spend the money and hire professionals, police officers or deputies. All in all, we won’t be back.

Bar that feels more like a nice club. Large outdoor deck with games. Young and pretty well dressed crowd. Good spot for drinks hanging out and late at night for dancing if you are into that.

Great locals bar! Always play great music, have good tacos & games to play (patio jenga, jumbo connect 4 etc...) earlier in the evening. When it gets busier they put them up for dancing.

We had a great experience here. Staff and bartenders were nice, drinks were strong and reasonably priced. Scene is mixed crowd and music, big party and dance area. We enjoyed it here and will ba back.

I guess this place is not my scene. The IPA selection was not very good and the bartenders made my friends and I feel like we were out of place. This was during the World Series and was not busy. It cost them well over $100 tab for each of us. I don’t like leaving low ratings for my local community but this place earned them.

Be careful going here, close all tabs. I opened a tab with them at the table and when it came time to pay I paid for it. Comes to find out they charged me more than what I signed my name for. When I went to speak to the manager about it. He said that what’s on your bank statement is not the final charge and once it goes through you will see the true charge. Well that was a lie. Another thing I thought was strange was that I was told someone else put drinks on my tab which I don’t know that would have happened when I did not drink the drinks that she mentioned to me. Just remember always go up to the bar to close the tab cause things like this can happen easily.

Excellent place for goup of friends to hang out. Lovely ambience and the theme is pretty unique. Good music too. Lots of locals go there so might be a pretty good opportunity to interact. The folks are pretty friendly there. Jamerson were going for $4 bucks a shot.

This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a bar or restaurant. I have an out of state ID and while checking my ID, the bouncer bent the card in half, leaving a huge crease in the middle and ruining the ID. When speaking to the managers, I was told this is standard practice at the bar and I was only offered a drink for ruining my ID. Now I have to go and replace it three years prior to expectation. Would highly recommend going elsewhere if you have an out of state ID.

Been going here for years but never knew how racist the owner of this establishment was until today. Not only did you disrespect a legendary DJ in the Galveston/Houston county area, you told him specifically that his kind of people arent welcome in your establishment and canceled his event. You will never get a single dollar from me again since you dont accept minorities!

Still never a bad choice when youre deciding where to go or where to end up after your 1st choice sucked. Kind of sad to see a couple of their bartenders are gone, nothing wrong with the current, its just that they were reason enough to stop by there. Hope their greener pastures as the one bartender put it is really going great for both of them.

I was visiting the boardwalk and stopped in for a soda. I couldn’t finish it so walked out with it. I was rudely stopped by a bouncer I presume telling me I had to dump it out. I informed him that it was a soda but he repeated to me that I needed to dump it out. I’ll never return to this lounge. I’m a senior citizen and did not appreciate his approach or the fact that I had to get rid of my non alcoholic drink . Every other place I visited I was able to leave with my non alcoholic drink.

Everything is pretty average lol. I came yesterday and today I couldnt stop throwing up the crawfish. Idk if I ate a bad one or if theyre all bad. Drinks werent strong. The songs is a hit or miss. Dj was playing bad songs then finally went down and everyone was dancing then they play music that no one likes so people leave. Not a spot i recommend .

This place is LITERALLY the best night restaurant/night club Ive ever been to. The people there are great, the food is worth it and the music tops it all off. I Cant help but to have good vibes each time I visit.

Be very careful ordering food here if you have an allergy. I ordered tacos and let them know I was allergic to tomatoes so no tomatoes. I get it and it looks like chipotle sauce on them so I take a few bites. Then I knew it had tomatoes. I went to the waitress and asked her to ask the kitchen what was in the sauce. They said it was bbq sauce but no tomatoes. She argued with me when I told her that bbq sauce had tomatoes in it and to go tell the chef. Doing all this when it was getting difficult to breathe. So I’m trying to get my tab closed as fast as they can she comes back and goes yes there is tomatoes in it. Had to rush to my car for an epipen.Yes I know accidents happen and I was being nice. But when someone has an allergy that can kill them don’t argue and just verify with the kitchen.

Great drink prices! Went for their Birthday Swag Bag which was fn awesome!! Played pool but didnt have a chance to play giant connect 4... Will forsure next time! They also have ping pong, Jenga, and the punching bag game... And in this cold weather they have you covered with heat lamps not only covering the bar area thy also have them above the games!!!!

Plenty of wildlife going on here. Drinks are good, beer is cold. Stopped in for an Astros playoff game and had a good crowd. Smoking outside on the deck with plenty of tv screens to look at! Has indoors too for those hot days. Bathrooms fairly clean.

It was my first time in Kemah. I was not disappointed at all. Voodoo Hut was just recently renewed and expanded. There is an outdoor pool table and arcades. Theres outdoor smoking. Great staff. Is horror themed. Is just great! Staff is awesome.

Incredibly RUDE bartenders that underpour! To the douche at the front bar. I’m paying for double neats. I can tell it’s not the correct pour. Then slammed the book down after I tipped you 8 on 34. Which was an over tip to begin with. The female I had poured right and was sweet. That was the reason I did tip appropriately. Atmosphere is decent but, if I’m coming to blow money, I at least want what I’m paying for. Last night just fell short of a good time.

Everyone from the hostess to our server was super nice. The food was amazing. Try the shrimp tacos, you wont regret it. Went early afternoon and had a great experience.

Great bar good drinks staff was fantastic and it had the best atmosphere.

Went here with my husband and had a great time! Tuesday night specials are awesome! Our bartender was great and made awesome drinks. Had a really good time! Going back on Sunday!

Whatever setting you want- this place has got them all. From indoors to out, pool tables, food, themed bar stations throughout, hanging hammock chairs on the patio, live music, and even a non smoking section (if thats important to you). Everyone was amazingly nice and friendly, staff and patrons combined. Amazing spot to check out.

I loved this place! The 2 ladies behind the bar were so great! They were pretty busy but they stayed on it and rocked it out! The DJ there was also killing it. I visited this bar while on vacation and Im wishing I lived in Kemah so I could go everyday! I would be regular here.

Place was cool until the bartender lost my id and credit card, claimed i had it when i clearly didnt, after telling him 3 times i didnt have it, he finally found it. The one drink i had wasnt that great and overpriced. I will not be coming back here again.

If you are black I need you to know that the latest genre of hip hop and r&b is definitely from the early 2010s and beyond. They sometimes profile so beware. But enjoy!

Nice spot to hang out and have some drinks. Very chill and spacious. Restrooms were clean. The bartenders were nice & fast getting out timely. Great place to recommend for a hang out.

Great atmosphere. Very motorcycle friendly. Nice daily specials and fast service. 3 Golden Tee stations as well. Great place to go on a Sunday. Even better after recent expansion. Bar games include giant jenga, pool, cornhole, connect 4. Come here if at Kemah Boardwalk area.
