The AC works great. Our room was clean. Large flat screen with Direct TV.Fridge and microwave. Did I mention the AC is awesome. We stayed overnight cause our power has been out after hurricane. Happy to stay there $124 w tax, cash only. You picky people will complain about the hard bouncy bed but we slept great in a chilly room heat exhausted after 2 days no power at home. And its right off highway 146 so there is some street noise.. we had no issues with bathtub not draining. They do accept pets for additional $40. There is no free breakfast as stated on google maps.

Do NOT stay here. Shady place. Nobody smiles in this hotel.. they are after money and thats it. I couldnt understand what the Receptionist was saying. Hotel is dirty. My cable wasnt working and took the owner 3 hours to come to my room , looked behind the TV and said: now its working. Guess what? He left and the cable wasnt working. I had to call my cousin who told me what to do step by step. No breakfast!!!!!! I told the owner I was leaving because of the hurricane Beryl and they charge me for the day I was gone. After the hurricane they Price Gouging from $ 65 to $ 135. Not a good member of the society. Bunch of greed people. I wish I could give zero stars.
BEWARE!!! This stay was horrible from the 1st night we checked in. The shower was holding water and not draining and when we went to the office the lady was sleep with her head down at the window. So we explain the situation and she states she has to come look at it so I say are you going to fix it or you can give us another room. She comes to the room and looks and then proceeds to say what’s wrong with the water on your feet. Everyone knows when you shower the water needs to drain out otherwise that’s dirty water on your feet. I asked her numerous times for a refund because on top of that there was no WiFi or complimentary breakfast that they advertise. She states she couldn’t do anything without calling management so I say call them cause I want a refund. She came back and gave us another room and says this is it if something is wrong I can’t move you all again. Automatically I became furious and told her I paid for something and it wasn’t up to par and they had falsely advertised. She leaves and then we went to ask her for towels and coffee for the coffee pot and she looked blank faced and was come in the morning there locked in storage (really what hotel doesn’t have access to linen and towels). I call the third party that the booking was made through and told them and they called and spoke with Janna who stated she moved our room but she would need to talk to management and the site would need to email them and would have an answer in 24 hrs. Well it’s been 48hrs and the booking site contacted me and stated they never responded. The next night in one of the beds was a bug which I took pictures and it was suppose to be a no smoking room but found something under the bed which let me know they didn’t clean good. The sockets was loose in the wall where they pulled out. Mind you all I have pictures. This could had been avoided if the girl (Janna) at the front desk would had refunded me and let us leave. All we want is our money back because this was a disaster and they might stay in places like that but we don’t. This hotel gives Kemah Boardwalk a bad look when they advertise they are near the boardwalk trying to get business by falsely advertising and RUDE!!!Run from this hotel cause it’s a dump!!! I😡😡😡😡
Lets start out with the 1st night trying to take an shower it back up in the tub. Once we told the front desk she wanted to see and at first refused to change room. Her response was we had to wait until the morning for management. Also the nasty towels given were stained and dirty. When asked for towels that night they were also locked in the storage and could not get until management arrived that morning. No breakfast I am assuming the front desk person lives in the room connected to the front. They are not able to print a detail receipt of your stay. We also found a bug in the bed and a Marijuana blunt on the floor of the room. No wifi beds are hard we had a double bed one was broken. This should not be part of anyone stay that comes to down for a visit. Stay away
Do not waste your money. Says pet friendly so I brought my 2 service dogs with ids. My dad and i came to the room to let them out and the man yelled at my dad because his wife was trying to go in my room and the dogs scared her. Well I told them at check in I had the animals and showed ids so not sure why they were not aware of the situation. Also wondering why his wife was trying to enter my room. The maid was a different person. They were very rude to my dad and I and are NOT PET FRIENDLY. Same with the super 8 next door. Dont even try.
Decent hotel, good room with ac, TV, and so on. But the front service is not up to par. We have seen several descriptions about free breakfast. We walk to the front to check it out, the front clerk was asleep and it was 9:30 in the morning, doors were locked, no breakfast and he said they do not ever offer a breakfast...
The location is quiet but there is constructed so traffic is bad. It was easy check in. The room was nice but I did need to clean the door and the wall next to the door. I don’t know what it was but it was nasty. The towel was dirty. The price that I pay, I knew something wasn’t going to be wrong. If I didn’t have those issues, then everything would of been great
Room was decent. Except shower cleanliness… there was hair on the wall… as if someone shaved 🤢. Other than that it was a decent room. All appliances and AC worked well. Housekeeping made sure we had towels and trash bags. I liked the location even with the construction (which they moved cones that made it back into a two lane road) I could get around easily. Also the property was clean and quiet. Overall it was a good trip and good for the price and I would stay there again
The rooms are ok. The bed is hard as a rock. They have no breakfast so they shouldnt advertise it. Sat in the swing and it broke. The towels are paper thin.
This is a budget hotel, but the room was clean, freshly painted and updated, very large and had everything we needed. Ample parking and very convenient to Kemah (we even walked). So good value for money and I would return. The only minor issues were breakfast not included (we had read this in reviews and did not expect it) and they had run out of milk/creamer and we had to skip our must-have morning coffee. Management was very apologetic and promised to fix.
Dont listen to the reviews on here, check around. This motel absolutely is trashed. Never anyone at front desk to check in or out, dirty mold in room 121. Hair everywhere. Rusty appliances in rooms, and tub is rusty, dont believe me then spend 100$ and see for yourself. Go somewhere else. However I did feel fairly safe, and the ac in room worked great. Thats the ONLY positive here.

It is kind of like a Palace Inn right by the Kemah Boardwalk. I would recommend avoiding it if you can. It is dirty . The people in the office are very surly. Oh yeah one time they assigned my room to another party. For some reason I forgot to latch the top of the door. So at 3am while I was dead asleep a group of 2 guys and 2 girls burst in the room. It gave me the fright of my life. Luckily it just was a scare because I can imagine a million ways that things could have turned out worse. If you had too much fun at the boardwalk and find yourself in need of a hotel, I recommend Ubering elsewhere. So today the owner noticed me in the office. He asked if I was the one who wrote a bad review of his business. I told him yes. He told my boyfriend that I am not welcome to his business because I wrote a bad review. He didnt work on the the roaches, he didnt work on the bed bugs, he didnt work on the broken ac,he did not work on the high prices he thought somehow I was the problem.
ROOM - 222 Got in after midnight, fell asleep only to wake up to dirty sheets. We did know if it was cum stains or dried mayonnaise. The tub would not drain. The cleaning guy pulled the sheet before I could snap a picture. I asked to cancel my 2nd day prior to 4pm (check in time) but the manager lady would not refund my money, just offered to place us in another room.ROOM - 221 Very foul order, smelly sheets, Hair on the walls of the shower, rusted metal and roaches on the floor around the toilet. I usually dont comment on hotels but I had to here. This was my 32nd Marriage Anniversary.3rd Night - Stayed at the Hilton Resort in Galveston. This hotel made up for the entire weekend... Not all was lost!!
I called the 1 800 number and which charge 3 times for the room and still didnt receive refund completely on both of the 2 over charges. Microwave was broken timer was just hanging. The management was pretty nice. They had a coffee maker in the room but didnt have proper coffee to put into the maker. Overall I wouldnt stay there again. If you do dont go through the 1-800 number or you will get ripped off.
The place is really clean and the rooms are nice with a fresh new look. The paint scheme in the rooms are very aesthetically pleasing. The staff and cleaning crew are friendly and helpful. The biggest improvement is all of the high intensity outdoor lighting that lights up literally every square inch of the property. A bright parking lot reduces the potential for thieves from entering vehicles. This is a basic hotel at a great price. Highly recommend staying here if you’re trying to save money. It’s location is awesome with the Kemah boardwalk next door, Galveston Island, Space Center Houston, and many more places the Clear Lake area has to offer. 4 thumbs up!!
The rooms were completely disgusting. I had to clean the toilet myself just to use it. Even though they out a sanitary paper over it saying it was cleaned. The floors hadn’t been cleaned one bit. The tub was extremely dirty full of hair and old dried up dirt spots, there was also a bar of soap that was on the tub that you can tell has been there for days and hadn’t been moved because it was becoming part of the tub.
Filthy room, disgusting floors, a/c not cooling room, TV doesnt work at all, shower head leaks heavily, people yelling right outside door, extremely loud engine revving repeatedly at 3a.m. with no regard for the other hotel guests or the police station right next door. The price is fairly good, but they need some major training on what housekeeping consists of!
The housekeeper was awesome super attentive and if we needed anything the front desk or house keeper jumped on it. The service was great, the room was clean, the bath tub had some rust by the faucet but my daughter got over it. The fold out bed in the couch came in handy. Fridge worked well microwave too. The thing that lost a star was when I was booking a hotel while in our home state I really wanted breakfast included. This website lists breakfast in amenities and still has pictures of orange juice and what not. THEY NO LONGER SERVE ANY BREAKFAST. there is a little coffee maker in the room but it wasnt so great and no sugar or creamer. I was torn between 3 different hotels in that location and wish I had known about the breakfast bc it changed our morning plans. I wouldnt stay again with my family but if it was just me for a quick trip I wouldnt mind it.
Clean room. Quiet. Wish after receiving reservation they would have turned on air conditioner in the room so would be cool upon arrival. Said was 91 in there. Took forever to cool off.
Its a redo of Motel 6. When we arrived the air was off. And they said they didnt have any rooms down stairs, each time we left I notice several empty rooms each day. Lies. They are working on HWY 146 and that make it hard and dangerous to leave out. The room didnt smell fresh but stale.
Hey the location is there. The staff is friendly always . And its over all clean and quiet. I live in the area and I stay here and next door monthly for few days.staff great. Room was perfect, everything was fully functional, clean , quiet and a lot more spacious than I wouldve imagined honestly for the tourist area. I felt fortunate because whenever you havent stayed at a facility you never know, however I have absolutely problem staying there in the future.
Found long hairs from a previous resident by the sink and in the shower. Other than that no complaints, pretty standard hotel room. Easy check in/check out.
The location is great. The construction is a pain right now. When its finished, this is gonna be a perfect place. It wasnt unbearable. We had to wait in some traffic but overall most people were courteous and would allow us out of the parking lot.
The hotel staff was super friendly and kind, very helpful when needed and the experience for the price was more than what I would or could ask for and the location (besides going on memorial Day weekend) was in extremely close proximity to Galveston, kemah boardwalk, NASA and the space center, and we enjoyed all of those attractions while there. Check it out for yourself..
Great clean room for the price and just a few blocks from the boardwalk but would have been nice if the housecleaning would have at least emptied the two trash cans and replaced the dirty towels. The folks at the front desk were very kind upon check in
I think the name says it all. Im surprised they dont charge by the hour . Actually not too terrible for a low-budget hotel . Bed lamps would be nice instead of the ceiling lights . Could NOT open the shampoo packets in the shower. Office clerk was hard and unfriendly .

At first it was great the guy online I booked with assured me it was a pet friendly hotel as I had my tiny pup with me in her puppy bag. Then while we were out they went into our room without permission and way before check out time that is a violation of our privacy! I could tell they looked around in our room because stuff was moved. I confronted the lady at the desk and she said yes my manager did and he has the right to. I got mad because this is wrong! If I could give zero stars I would! We paid extra for a late check out. They locked us out of our room because I had to pay a $30 fee for Mt 2lb pup in her puppy box which was np it was just the way they treated us it wasnt like they didnt have my credit card on file for the deposit!
The room we got was hot and humid we left the ac running while we got food to see if the room would cool down but it did not cool down at all! We asked for a different room and staff said “all rooms had the same system”. I had to get a refund but even then it would only be 80%?? It is too hot out for the ac not to do what it’s supposed to ! There are definitely better spots for the same price!
It looks nice from the freeway, but looks are deceiving. They put us in a room that nothing worked in. They did transfer us to another room but when I asked for more toilet paper and towels and wash clothes they refused. I dont recommend this hotel at all.

Dont judge a book by its cover. Motel look with a decent hotel interior. My Husband and I were pleasantly surprised. Very Clean and well worth the price. Bring your own towels, theyre clean, but small. Really Close to the Board Walk, which is a great plus!

Clean spacious room.... price was very fair...at least in comparison to the surrounding hotels.. paid $56.00, thats taxes included already. I did my booking online... it says they have a $50.00 deposit fee but they didnt apply it to me...all I paid was $56.00 on arrival. Nice hotel.
Flawless experience. Lightning fast internet, well-lit, extra attractively-landscaped parking lot and friendly staff. And if youre a non-smoker and a germaphobe, this motel will be your palace. Room was bright, fresh, and literally spotless. Clinically so. We intend on visiting the area again soon and wouldnt consider staying anywhere else. Someone obviously pours a great deal of extra effort into this location.
It definitely cost too much to stay there for what you get. Nasty coffee pots in the rooms, I really dont think they sweep the rooms because the floor feels dirty to the feet. His family owned and all the family works there. When I stay there I heard a cart being wheeled in front of the room at about 8 in the morning so I went outside to see what the noise was and it was an older man hovering around the room looking at me in a rude way as if to say..get out! When I stayed there there was a dirty sock in the corner of the room. When I checked out I tried to politely as I could say there was a dirty sock lift in the room so I dont really think your cleaning people are doing a good job. And the young girl or lady Im not sure proceeded to tell me that I was a liar. Do yourself a big favor. Do not go here!
Air condition not working. No cool air. Over 90 outside. No written instructions for tv or internet. Offered to give us another room but companion was walking with cane and room was real close to vehicle so said no. Housekeeping could not understand when we asked for toilet tissue. Brought us towels
TOO GOOD but TRUE! Rooms have been remodeled and look like new. Rooms are absolutely CLEAN and organized. Very low price. Walking distance to the Kemah Boardwalk. I dont trust low-price hotels but this is an EXCEPTION. Coming back soon and recommending this hotel to family and friends. Congratulations on your great service, Palace Inn Kemah!
I like this place. Its not cheap but its not expensive. They remodeled it a a few years ago I believe and the beds are still comfortable and its clean. Im usually in the area for a month or two every year working in the plants around Pasadena or Baytown and I always stay here. There is definitely more affordable motels closer to work but this one is worth the drive for me. Only thing I dont like I wish they accepted dogs. At least small breeds so I could have my dog with me.
These people are crook I called to ask a few questions regarding if they accept pets before he said yes and no he started asking me a whole bunch of questions about my two dogs that I was bringing with me then he told me that their policy is one dog only but he was going to see if me having two small dogs was going to be okay with this manager he gets back on the phone and tells me theyre only going to accept my dogs is if I give them my bank information and reserve a room over the phone even though Im right in front of the hotel and said I was coming in to do it he said no if I come in and do it face-to-face theyre not going to accept my dogs only way my dogs would be accepted as if I give them my bank information over the phone and of course I decide not to do business with them because that raised a lot of red flags and sounds Shady like a bunch of crooks Im sure this hotel is nice and clean like a lot of reviews say but the people that work in the office sound shady and crooked and why would you be rushing me and pushing me to get my bank information over the phone
1st time here enjoyed it. Unsure its quality at 1st but upon room entry it was comfy pleasant spacious refrigerator microwave good bathroom. Unfort no breakfast served and no entry into lobby. Didnt use wifi... Now entry into pkg lot very difficult especially during wknd traffic. Only one way to enter and exit. Be patient getting into and out of pkg lot. Walking Distance to all the boardwalk fun. Nice neighborhood to walk thru. Reasonably prices but they gotta get breakfast back.
Rooms were bigger than some other hotels. The only thing I had a problem with was the stool in the bathroom kept running and it was way to small. Almost needed a handle to get up after using it.
The Manager has HORRIBLE customer service skills. Ive been fishing for a day and half and was ready to go and freshen up with my Hubby. While I was getting ready to shower I noticed there wasnt enough towels, shampoo and soap so decided to call the front office and request more items. While on the phone with the front office they informed me that I would have to use the amenities 1st and then call them for some new amenities. I was shocked instantly at what they told me so hanged up the call with them. My hubby called back to request the items and told him if we were going to be a problem with them to go ahead and leave. Got out, was Refunded luckily and We Will NEVER Return unless theres New Management. The sad part was that all of this happened within the first 10 mins max of arriving to our room. We had stayed there before so were VERY Shocked at how we were treated and since COVID-19 has been happening this was Our First attempt to celebrate my Hubbys upcoming Birthday and my Birthday that had just passed. This trip was ruined because of Management since we were going to stay for 2 nights. We ended up going Home instead.
This is a very nice motel. Its old but has been redone. Very clean. Staff is very nice and accommodates you very well. Quiet big rooms nice cable TV. Of all the older hotels Ive stayed at this is very good and I stay at 40+ a year.
The room was large and clean but when I went to the lobby at 8:20 am, it was locked and dark. The continental breakfast had not been set up.I rang the bell and waited outside but no one came.I went back a few minutes later and the situation was the same. No attendant, no breakfast, no answer to the bell.Stay... its a nice place. But dont count on breakfast.
Looks ran down from the outside but the rooms were nice until I woke up at 4am being bitten by bed bugs. My girlfriend and I are covered in welts and when I confronted management they denied finding any evidence despite the physical evidence and pictures I provided. Rates are cheap but not worth the bed bug infestation. (Also, their response below isnt true. I have photo proof.)

I arrived at kemah and decided to stay the night. Big comfy rooms. All was well and had no troubles booking a room.They were great with the breakfast service.Pancake machine was having some troubles, but they fixed it and all was well from start to finish.
Room had a stinky smell; nonsmoking room but comforter had burn marks; turned ac on high cool at 4, left & returned about 10 that night. Outside temps cooler than in room. Slept with cold, wet wash clothes on my head & body. Attempted to microwave popcorn; minutes before would pop then about half bag popped before burning. Fridge on cold but not cold. Breakfast was a joke. Should have paid $30 more for a different hotel, you know, so I could have ac, a microwave & fridge that worked in a room that didnt have the stench of a stinky boys room & actual breakfast.
Very nice room, had a nice little couch/loveseat, a mini fridge, A/C worked perfect! Nice king size bed, although it could have been a little more comfy, but hey I cant complain for the deal I got. Oh yeah, and there was breakfast this morning too! And I must say the front desk staff was superb! This morning at breakfast, the orange juice and apple juice dispensers were only dispensing something that was obviously, totally NOT either of those 2 juices. I mentioned it to the kids behind the desk, and he was immediately on it, and got it fixed for us! Love this Palace In, much better than the other one in Bacliff!

The meth heads in the parking lot were super friendly and it didnt have bed bugs that I could see. The police presence in the middle of the night gave my family and the drug dealers a sense of safety and security. Would def recommend.

Someone bbq off the back of their truck and made my room stink like smoke for 2 days. Also, this isnt a vacation spot, people LIVE there, and i couldnt even check in till after 4 because no rooms were ready. No breakfast bar, just not nice for the price. I am disappointed.

Then after taking my CC and personal information she called back and said she cant honor the $57. She forgot it was a holiday and wants to charge me more. Now the room is $89 or $100 online.Talk about scamming!! Ill pay more to stay somewhere with better business practices.
Very nice clean and quiet. I took away a star because the breakfast was a very limited carbfest. And when it was time to check out at 11:03 a very unfriendly bang on my door followed by a CHECK OUT TIME. I’m not in military school, so that was not what I was expecting. I would stay again but it would not be my 1st choice
They were hateful they were rude they owe us for one night after they said they would refund my money and I will be contacting the corporate office and turn them into the better business beaura there was blood on our mattress and bugs in the room I do not appreciate the workers I want a refund

On 04/19/2020 i reserved a room online upon arrival i paid my deposit and was told it had to be in cash. i paid with 100$ bill. on day of check out in return i got fake 20$ bill and the rest of my change. i went in today to get a exchange on that bill and they denied giving me that change. i know it was them because the only change i got in my wallet is from them!!
Stayed the night during the big freeze in Houston due to my power being out. At least the heat worked in the room. I wont be staying here again. Very dirty. Loose toilet seat, cig burn in the comforter in a non smoking room, draft under the door, hair in the bathtub. Cost me $80 for the night. I got what I paid for.
So far we are VERY PLEASED! This place is really nice, and we can smoke our cigarettes. We refused to pay for a place that would not allow us to smoke. Found this GEM and are happy we did. Peaceful, quiet, and relaxing atmosphere.

Reserved 2 rooms for 1 night. One room was missing the part to turn shower on, one was missing the iron. Breakfast area was not stocked up at 7:30 am. Very loud banging noises that started around 9 pm and lasted an hour. Stained sheets. Fire alarms went off at 12:50 am and lasted for about 8 seconds. Close to Kemah Boardwalk.

These people did nothing but lie to us. There was no cable and no WiFi. They made us move to a nasty room up stairs and we asked to speak to the manager and they told us they couldnt give out the name and they would have the manager contact us but never did. If I could I would get my money back this place i would this is a horrible choice dont not come here and stay for business. I hope someone can investigate on these people.

I was very disappointed in this place. I drove all night from Florida to Kemah. When I arrived at 6 am the lady told me I could have a late check out around 3 or 4 pm. That was wrong! They woke me up at 11 am telling it was time to check out. Never again will I stay here!
Reserved a king room, got two queens. 1st room had no working ac. Was switched to another room where the ac cover fell off and tv had no channels. Was switched again to a third room. Terrible management.

Lady at front desk rude because I asked for towels because they didnt put any in our room
The maid lie and said we were smoking and stole a hundred dollars off my card without me knowing the pictures they assume was illegal things and it wasnt the room wasnt clean.
Rooms where clean the outside was also clean no roaches or bedbugs very nice beds.
Went to lobby to get coffee and was told I couldnt use any of the creamer because that belongs to the manager.
It was okay. Its a bit run down, not sure how the other reviews are so positive. The best part was the friendly woman at the desk.
The gentleman at the front desk seems annoyed at any attempt to get him up off the couch and actually do something. They also tried to tell booking.com that I never checked in when I was there, unquestionably, for 4 nights. Now, why might they do that ... ?
Booked online, they have rooms not shown online. Service, location and price is good. The A.C. in my room didnt work.

This was the palace inn in kemah and the rooms were alright. I didnt really interact much with the staff so Im not sure how the service was, I just came there to visit a friend.
