Wow! We stumbled into this place and were very pleasantly impressed… the bartender was great, live music was awesome and the espresso martinis were incredible!! Not to mention they were enormous and you got an extra one each time in a fishbowl on ice 😍😍😍. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you!!

Great please to dance LATIN MUSIC on a Thursday, GREAT MUSIC the DJ JC has an excellent playlist, 100% recommended for locals and tourists .Peru and Nigeria dancing Salsa at Virgilios, as local, my favorite spot to find on Thursdays night!

Key West is Key West, the extraordinary atmosphere and the opportunity to eat classic dishes with snails is a paradise for me.Other dishes as well, affordable prices.I highly recommend!

We went dancing on Thursday Latin Night and it was so much fun. The drinks were descent but the music made it worth it. Lots of people came out to dance.

We visit Key West 2-3 times a year,and Virgilio’s is a must every time. Yes, Martini Mondays are great, but dining any day they are open is simply the best Italian on the island!

While strolling in Duval Street, we ended up discovering this beautiful, cozy restaurant. My friend and I thought of eating just pasta.But the moment we entered into the restaurant, the ambience, music, interior, everything was so cozy and welcoming. We got a very nice spot to sit. Starting from the bread to dessert, everything was delicious. We had bread, starter, main course, dessert and coffee. Best Italian food I had so far.Would like to thank the staff and everyone for providing such an amazing experience to us.

Great live music for dancing. A little too much merengue. The bar has fantastic drinks. Best place to get your Latin dancing on Thursdays in KW.

This is the bar section of La Trattoria. Really nice quality Italian food (good bread!). Had carpaccio, the house lobster ravioli and osso buco. The martini bar is very well stocked and had a nice Brunello with the meal. High end dining, but like everything in KW relaxed.

We enjoyed the bar in the back behind the restaurant. Drinks were delicious and the live music was fun!

Poor service - Once great going downhillAdd this to another place going downhill on Duval Street.We have been eating here for the past 12 years and it used to be wonderful.We have come to Key West at least twice a year for the past 25 years.This past trip to this restaurant left a particularly bad taste in my mouth. Typically, I do not leave bad reviews I would simply not say anything. However.We decided to stop in and sit at the bar to get a salad and an antipasto and have a few cocktails. We sat and ordered food and drinks.There is a bartender there whose name is Carrie. From the moment we sat down all she did was talk loudly nonstop to the patrons at the bar, complaining about tourists ruining the island. How horrible fantasy fest is, how bad boat week is, the type of people that come to town. There were probably one or two locals there, but the rest were. Well, tourists and there for next weeks fantasy fest. We watched several people roll their eyes and leave after one drink.So fine, some people have a bad day and are characters, well thats cool, no big deal right?Heres where it gets weird. We sat, we ate, we didnt engage her in any conversation, the food was alright. It was obvious she resented any little request we asked, such as , can we have some bread please? or, can we have another drink?I go to pay with my credit card, she comes back, and I ask her for change of a 50 so I can leave a cash tip.She states its our policy not to break large bills. I said, but I would rather leave a cash tip, and is 50 really a big bill? Dont people come in and buy drinks with cash, how can you not give me change so I can leave you some money, it makes no sense?She says and I quote, although I wont write profanity here.I dont need you F..in money.Well ok then I said, I guess your not getting a tip from me.Mind you I could easily have left one on the credit card but after that attitude, no way.The it gets even more bizarre; she says thats why people hate you. Now I have never met this person before in my life, she doesnt know who I am or what I do, where Im from etc. etc.What ??? This happened last week, still trying to get a hold of the owner, but honestly, Ive wasted enough time just typing this, I left a voice mail at both locations on Duval and Roosevelt.So with that we will never recommend this restaurant ever again or spend another nickel there. Pretty soon they will join the rest of the empty store fronts on Duval in a once wonderful town that, as someone going there for more than 25 years can see, is struggling.Key West doesnt need someone like that and she should return to whatever town she came from, she certainly does not represent the Key West that has kept us coming back for 25+ years.

After searching many hours I found Virgilio’s.Great service, very accommodating prior to closing to accommodate dinner. Flavorful and best a key west dining experience I’ve had.

Martini Mondays are ok. The crowd is snowbirds over 70 waiting in line before it opens. With all the bad hips - you will not get a chair but the Bartender Vianca is a sight to see! She can shake and make with the best of them. $7 and a show - yes please all night long!

Weight staff was excellent, the carpaccio was excellent, fresh baked bread was outstanding, the linguine with clam sauce was too overwhelming with the lemon in it, and the clams had sand in it. The chef should have soaked the clams in salt water to get all the sand out for at least an hour before he cooked and served the dish.the other pasta dish was very good

My husband and I went here twice in our 3 night stay in Key West 2 weeks ago. The food is amazing!! I love the bread with the oil, balsamic, and parmesan. The espresso martinis are, WHEW..... strong and delicious!! 💕😊 Hoping to go back again someday

I stopped in here cause a local told me to come, and was truly blown away by the great friendly service, as well as the quality of the food - all at a fair price! Martini was on point, and the pasta dish I got was fabulous. This is a must if youre looking to get away from the touristy stuff and want a good drink and good food. And I wish I remembered the bartenders name but he worked tonight July 16th and was just a flat out ninja. Good job, keep it up!

As many have said - awesomeness of Martinis. I am letting the secret out - Martini Monday!!! Back in the day they were a steal at $5 each....now they are a Bargin @ $7 each. Bartenders are excellent, the place gets packed fast and Martinis dont make themselves in a flash so order 2!!! Enjoy this place - I do!!!!

We came to this restaurant during pandemic last year Was outstanding service and fantastic martinis, we recommend it to a lot of my friends. We are from out of town. We are visiting key west again and we made reservations for Sunday night, we got there and they forgot to mention something very very important, the air conditioner broke down that day , what a terrible experience, a waste of time and a waste of money, we end it up doing taking the food, we had a drink but extremely hot , I have to mentioned the Sever was very good. that was poor management and poor customer service, it was supposed to be a nice family dinner out . I don’t think we will consider going back .

This place is amazing. Order the ossobuco. And then get one to go. Because youre gonna need that. Or youll ask when they open in the morning for your ossobuco fix. Its pretty much crack.

We heard a lot of good things about this place. We walked in and sat down and waited approx. 10 minutes no one even bothered to say hello or ask us what we wanted to drink.We only stayed this long because we were meeting someone else at this location.

Virgilios is always amazing. Very tasty food, incredible martinis, and a house band that plays a variety of music, and all of it well. Martini Monday at Virgilios is a must!!

Alex is the best bartender in Key West! Attention to details is incredible. Personable and very good at his job. Doesn’t stop.

Overpriced, and the bartenders are ridiculously slow. If you are in this clique you may get taken care of but the rooskie and his limey dog are selective. The guidos can have it.P.S. If you like bland food, this is your place. And I hear they cater.

What a disappointment. Visited years ago, certainly a change. Yes, there were locals, four who loudly complained about their physical ailments in gross detail for an hour. A chorus accented by the bar maid who had great difficulty parting from the celebration of misery to say hello or make me martinis, both of which were warm as she was in such a hurry to get back to the conversation, shaking them was time wasted. There was no music, except bad Sinatra. I had the escargot. I think there was one snail on the plate, sliced in tiny pieces hiding under a ton of mushrooms and a thick goopy sauce. She asked how they were, I shrugged and said okay she ran back to her pals. Went to Antonias for dinner, awesome with a bartender who knew he was at work.

Wow, just wow! The bartender makes the most perfect martinis we’ve ever had. This place is a hidden gem, must go in key west for martini drinkers!!

Nice live entertaiment. They remodeled and there is less seating now and you can drive a semi behind the bar is so wide open and so packed on the patron side. If an architect was involved, he or she should be kiel hauled. Delightful high end martinis and a really great staff.

WOW what an awesome hidden gem in Key West. The front of the business is very semi formal but if you continue through or enter through the side entrance to the back patio are amazing food and entertainment

I love Virgilios! I usually go on salsa night on Thursdays, which is always good fun with good people. There are indeed regulars there, but they welcome all new-comers.The martinis are also another major reason to go! My favorite is the Dirty Goose--delicious vodka martini with bleu cheese stuffed olives. But all of them are indeed good!

Ist used to be great place. Musica used to be top notch. Now they got some meirda joder with flute doing horrible weather report impersonations with a matching bass player that wanted to be Jaco`s roomate. Had to leave as the SPL pummeling me and wrong notes were entirely too much.

Virgilios is a fun bar, they always have a pretty good band at night. The bartenders take good care of you. The crowd is pretty cool, more laid back than the on Duval bars surrounding it. Martini Mondays are cool with half price drinks.

Great service and AMAZING cocktails. I had never really had martinis before, but I tried a few here and they were all so incredibly delicious. Disappointing now that Im back home, I cant find a place that makes them as delicious!

Cozy little bar behind one of the best restaurants in Key West. GREAT martinis in a wide range of flavors. And there is usually a live band playing. No cover charge of course... never is in Key West unless its a special event.

A must place to visit, great food includung fresh fish everyday, eat at the bar with the locals. Martini monday and latin thursdays are always fun. Stop in after 7:00 and say hello to Alex and Pip they are the best, always a smile and make you feel like your a local.

One of our favorite spots in Key West. Shawn has bartended for us a few times and he rocks it. If you’re into a good cocktail scene, hit this place up.

I can not understand how the people rated this restaurant as good, the service was terrible, they are not prepared for large groups and the time to serve the food was too much. I mean more than 1 hr. Just the bread took 30 min, 45 for the water, then, the dishes were mixed and wrong so more  .

Hi was in town July 1st , great music, great bartender, and the best chocolate martini anywhere. I will be back again when in town. My fist time to Virgilios didnt know you were there, but glad I found it.

Love the Martini Monday ...even though the google site says closed Monday...we have tried multiple flavors..havent found a bad one yet...sit at bar and enjoy excellent Italian meal ..our favorite happy hour...see you Monday

Stopped here twice.Chocolate martinis were fantastic.Pasta Alfredo was perfect. Added a side of spinach. Just great.

Sat at the bar for martini Monday (5 dollar martinis) I ate penne ariabatta and was just spicy enough and tasty. The rest of my party had chicken piccata which they loved. Would definitely come back. PS: the food is from the attached and affiliated La Trattoria.

The most amazing Lobster Ravioli on the planet! Superb martinis served by Pippa in the cocktail bar. A must when visiting Key West!! *****5 Star

Avoid. The bar is diluting upper shelf options with well liquor and charging a premium for it.
