Amazing food, service and atmosphere! The tacos were so delicious and fresh and were only 2-3 dollars each!! Also got the mai tai drink it was awesome and only 11$ for a whole pitcher. Thank you for such a great experience :)

I came here with a group of friends and everything started out great. There was karaoke and the drinks were pretty good. I had gotten 2 rounds of drinks at the bar by a really nice bartender. It wasn’t until I went to get a 3rd round of drinks that a different bartender served me and she took a while to make my drinks and then after I payed she came to my table and said it was rude that I didn’t leave a tip and demanded that I did. I was caught off guard bc the first 2 rounds I had already tipped and then she has the audacity to call me out and demand I tip. It was very rude and it killed the whole vibe for me and my friends. I have never had someone demand for tips, it was desperate and very unprofessional. Don’t think I’ll be coming back here.

THE best karaoke spot in Kihei!!! So much fun and such a great crowd. Casual spot. Bartenders are nice and welcoming. Drinks are good and reasonably priced. Didnt try the food so dont have a rank for it. Check this place out!

This bar lets kids run around, climb on tables and play with the pool table. Feels kind of awkward drinking tequila with 6 year olds. The bar serves them milkshakes (not on the menu but apparently made special for them). The establishment is otherwise not kid- friendly. Pretty terrible experience overall. Will definitely avoid in the future.

The tacos here for Taco Tuesday were delicious. The location is great, very close to the beach and shops right down the road. Very friendly people that we interacted with around the restaurant. However, we would likely not return to dine here. Our server was attentive, but a bit sharp when we asked to clarify something on the menu. She also referred to us as not being “cool” because we didn’t order Mai Tai’s. We didn’t think that was very cool. Food took around 35-40 minutes to come out. They also didn’t get my friend’s order correct and overcharged him, at least in accordance with what the menu said. Our table was outside right in the sun, and while other outside tables had umbrellas, ours did not. It was not a terrible experience - but was not our favorite restaurant we visited while on Maui. This review is from one visit there. If we are recommended to try this again, if we are ever back there, we’ll give it another shot.

Cute dive bar. Great place to come for budget conscious or not. Good deals on tacos, nachos, fish tacos and more. Large carafe of Mai Tais for $8. Delicious but not over the top strong. Really a good deal though. Specials on beer as well. Food is good, but not gourmet so dont expect that here. Just tasty bar food at decent prices.

Great bar. UNTIL. I saw a guy, overweight, eating other people’s food while they were at the stage watching the awesome karaoke. I brought it to the attention of the bouncer, with multiple studs is his face - who could care less. Probably isolated but the guy with studs in his face…ugh. Great service by waitress though. Watch your food.

I waited over 20 mins to be served and another guest gave me a drink. The bartender then took my drink and poured it out then was very rude and kicked me out for unknown reasons. The bouncer was very polite and could not explain why I needed to leave and gave me time to grab my friends.

My wife and I loved this bar so much we came here for drinks several times. Their Mahi Mahi wrap and onion rings are delicious. My wide also loved their Mai tais.

A friend said I should go here. So I went. We were just there for lunch. It’s a neighborhood bar with lots of locals. Seemed like it would be a great place for some drinks in the evening. The lunch was good. Just had nachos and a burrito. Was pretty much what I expected. I’d definitely visit this place again.

Great karaoke fun with excellent drinks at reasonable prices. The whole crew is spectacular from bouncers to bartenders.

Good food and very good prices. Outside on the small deck is OK but inside is very loud and dirty with a lot of over the top loud customers that vaped indoors.

Life’s a beach is my go to bar in Kihei. I always have a blast. It’s the kind of spot where regulars and visitors alike can imbibe in reasonabally priced drinks and good conversation. All the employees are rad, too (and they do a great job busting it out when the bar is busy—thanks Alyssa and crew)! There is karaoke Sunday-Thursday and this is probably the biggest draw for us—my partner loves singing and Kristin the KJ is awesome!Thank you LAB, Alyssa and Kristin for always showing Kihei a great time!

Best Mai Tais in Kihei! Fun atmosphere and great apps. We had the Mexican platter & the shredded pork was yummy! Poppers were great too. Came back a second time during our week on vacation.

Hands down the most fun bar Ive been to on Maui. Soooooo affordable to eat and drink here as opposed to most other places, and I hope it stays that way. Waited 1 hour for our karaoke song but still did not get called up to the stage. When our group of 6 people left this bar, one of the bouncers literally told us Do not come back because we used the side exit instead of the main exit. No worries, we will not return to this bar ever again.

My husband and I are visiting here from Canada . We stumbled upon life’s beach on saturday and are already back today (Tuesday)! not only are the staff amazing, and the drinks awesome , but also the kareoke is BUMPIN!! We had such a blast here, if you’re going to visit Maui, you MUST hit this place up

There were 4 of us that wanted to visit this bar for the karaoke. They did not disappoint. The girl hosting the karaoke was fun. The bar wasnt crowded at all on a week night. There were a few folks at the bar and some playing pool. There were some pretty good singers in that bar though. It is definitely a dive bar. Theres enough parking in the back. There are a couple of other bars on that same corner. Wed go back for sure. It was fun.

Come for the drinks, stay for the karaoke! Dive bar but very fun to get your night started, or stay for a ruckus of fun til bar close! Outdoor seating area is great to have too

We saw the reviews and thought well try it. Its definitely a dive bar - no frills - BUT the food was really good and reasonably priced. And the bartender and cook were super nice! Will be headed there again.

The quality of the food left much to be desired, falling below expectations.Additionally, the demeanor of the staff was disappointing, lacking the expected level of courtesy. Furthermore, the sight of dishes left uncleared on several tables added to the overall dissatisfaction.In summary, the experience fell short of impressing.

This place is the best! Great food... Great Karaoke. The host Kristen Miller makes each night fun and eventful. The food is probably the best in the triangle. I recommend anyone coming to Maui to stop by for a good time.

Lifes a beach is always a blast! If youre looking for a good karaoke spot on island, they have it on 5 out of 7 nights a week! The karaoke hosts always liven up the party! Good atmosphere with a wide variety of bar patrons! Definitely recommend this dive to anyone!!

My husband and I came here on our honeymoon one night after dinner for some fun karaoke and that’s exactly what it was!! Great vibe, employees, and all. I even left my sweater there by accident and the sweet karaoke girl shipped it to me! Could not have been more grateful. Have nothing bad to say about this bar.

What a cool place. The Mahi Mahi wrap was amazing and the prices are the best on Maui. Service was great and we watched Monday night football, NHL and NBA. We will definitely be back.

I absolutely LOVE this bar. The environment, the location, the staff. But- and I mean this- a bar that offers Karaoke on all the normally slow nights makes me SOOOOOOO happy. I speak for many when I say that the young lady, young man etc who run karaoke at Life’s a Beach bar, make the location a STAPLE all week long.,Now if only they issued a Karaoke “Gold Card” that would put me in front of the list! Hehe. They seriously though do amazinglySo long as Karaoke continues 5-6 days a week at LAB… our money GLADLY attends multiple times per week

This place was a blast! We needed a fun bar to go to and this was definitely a good choice. The karaoke and the vibes were top tier! Everyone was so nice and fun to interact with and the Mai Tai’s were awesome! I would definitely recommend.

BEST KARAOKE EVER. Literally such a blast, so many incredible singers and some good ole fashioned silly fun. Drinks are chill... the French fries are on fricking point too. They also have a pool table. Best karaoke bar on island, hands down.****Dont forget to tip the DJ :)****

This is a great bar in Kihei. They have affordable drink, great karaoke and a nice patio. The inside is very spacious so you have enough room to socially distance and there plenty of space at the bar. This is one of the larger bars in the area so it tends to draw a decent mix of regulars and vacationers. The drinks are also cheaper than at the neighboring bars. I havent tried the food yet but it always smells good when walking past.I do recommend this spot.

Love this place, my got to place in Kihei for great mexican food and huge menu and awesome cheap prices for quality food. Love it, also can play pool and just chill, good music.Highly recommend, been coming here for over 10 years!

We love this bar. Me and my wife went there when we were first dating 12 years ago and when we returned to Maui we had to go there again. We had a great time, great drinks, good food, cool outdoor seating. Nothing to complain about. Well be back next time if theyre still there. Its now become a tradition.

Very rude bartending staff. Have a superiority complex that the security guards just feed into. 0/10 not a Hawaiian vibe whatsoever. As the sober DD the staff was not well trained and would not even listen to reason.

This place is a blast! Stayed a week in Maui and found out Karaoke going on almost all week long. Sunday to Thursday. Good local singers. Saturdays dj night is always goodVibes. Best place in Triangle.

Karaoke ran by Kristin is great. She does her best to get you on stage as much as she can and is fair to all who sign up in the evening. If she doesn’t have the song you want, she will search for it and try to have it for next time. My wife and I love doing karaoke there.

I just had the worst experience at a bar last night and it reminded me how good my experience was here last Saturday. The atmosphere was great and our server Niki was even better. Fast, fun, a true joy to compliment the drinks. If only all servers were as great as she was!

Very chill and pleasant experience. The waitress was very helpful and friendly even though she was by herself at least it seems like she was. She did a wonderful job. My friend even forgot his Card went to do some shopping after that 2 hours later realize he didnt have his Credit card went back and there she was with a smile on her face and the card on her hand. Location is nice, food wasnt great. In fact I ordered their signature burger and it didnt come out right because they were missing ingredients, but they still charge for it... ended up just being lettuce and tomato only.Beer selection was minimal also.

We stopped in to celebrate a friends birthday! We ordered two Washington apples which the bartender was super happy to make. Talk to a guy who works here during the winter but lives in Washington. Lively crowd, wish we had stayed for the tacos.Outdoor seating available.Parking appeared to be limited.

Typical dive bar. Food is mediocre, soda didnt have syrup and waitress wasnt really all that friendly. This place gets 3 stars only because my husband loves the enchiladas. Oh the fried zucchini was pretty great too.

This place had the worst food that we have eaten in Maui. There were also some very disturbing instances of uncleanness and complete lack of professionalism. Gentlemen that worked at the establishment were eating and licking their fingers then touching drinks and the check envelopes that customers touched. It was overall, very disappointing.

Yes I did in fact go to karaoke here 3 times in a week. They have a great taco Tuesday deal! $1 tacos and $3 coronas! Not very busy and everyone is super nice.

Love going to this place after beach walking 3 mi from Wailea. Bar+karaoke+$10 half pound burger and enough time to get on the 7:42pm kihei bus. First time in hawaii, but I think this is a budget move on maui. Even then, met a born n raised local who said he wanted to become a regular here. The staff also seem like they have a fun time working with another/helping each other out. Good vibes. Ive heard this place has good tacos too havent tried them. Double whiskey on the rocks ran me $8.50. The fish market and amazing bbq right next to it along with this park

Best bar in the triangle if youre looking for a laid back crowd and awesome wait staff. The karaoke is some of the best Ive ever seen, and live music and pool tournaments happen regularly as well. Even the food is great!

Can’t beat the $5 lunch special or the all-day happy hour on Monday’s. You can get an entire liter of Mai Tais for $8 during happy hour. People are super friendly. Definitely not a fancy place more of a “dive bar” feel but good food and good drinks. Can’t beat it.

I came here with some other people. When we were seated and I was pouring the water from the pitcher into my glass, it overfilled and ice cubes fell on the table. In an attempt to clear them off before they melted and made a mess for those around me, I slid them to the floor. The waitress nearby made a comment in an annoyed/rude tone Can you not do that? People can slip and fall. Then, another employee came over to sweep up the ice and started reprimanding me under his breath saying What were you doing? This isnt your first time at a restaurant.Later, when the waitress came to take our order, when my friend had asked if she could get onions added to her quesadilla, she flat out said no even thought they have them in their food items at the restaurant. It didnt sound very accommodating. She took the order of the three other people sitting at my table but left without taking mine. My friend then went up to her and said Excuse me, you didnt take her order pointing to me, to which the waitress made the excuse Oh I thought her and the other girl were ordering together because theyd spoken in their native language when I took the girls order. When she came up to me and I told her it would have polite if shed taken mine as well, she said sorry sarcastically.Needless to say the disposition of the workers here was clearly rude and unaccommodating. I was appalled by their service and have never seen anything this poor before. We felt perhaps we were treated this way as we are people of color. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We went on a Wednesday night and it was busy, they had karaoke at 9pm but really started @9:30. KJ was great she did not sing one song and kept the karaoke moving along. Service was good even while super busy, there was four of us spent $50, plus tip on all of our drinks, notbad. We will return again on our next trip to Maui. Aloha!

5 stars for a bar and grill. We walked past multiple times this trip and there was always seating. Amazing taco salads and crispy french fries. Added kalua pork to the salad and it made it the best taco salad weve had. Drinks were average, but what do you expect at a bar and grill? Our server Celesa was a Rockstar. She was the only one on the floor serving tables. Shes a keeper! We will come back in the future!

BEST LOCAL SPOT TO DRINK!!! Best local spot. Great music. Truly a fun place to be and meet locals who are just easy going.Dress as comfortable as you want...it’s beach kind of place. Then eat at 3’s behind it for good grub too.

While visiting Maui on vacation and talking to locals they recommended hauis, I went on a thursday night and glad I did! Had an awesome time everyone customers both young & old and everyone in between and staff were filled with so much energy , good vibes and i will definitely return on my next trip.

Its good to go to a local places when you are tourists ,thats what we did..but good God..this place I must say.. please have your waiters memorize the order correctly. (Because she didnt note it down)The person who took our order, a huge order it was .1beer,1 water and French fries.....she only came with 1beer....and never came back..If you are ready to remain thirsty and hungry in a bar/restaurant. please go there for this experience..

A regular here twice a week. Food is great . Atmosphere is nice. The server Nicohola needs to be let go. She has a bad attitude to guest. However I’ll keep coming back , everyone else is great

We came here on our family trip to Maui. Dont waste your time. The food was good overall,but not amazing.. and I IMMEDIATELY had to run to the bathroom after our meal! It took a long time to get our food. .. then some locals came in and got their food super fast!?? The service was ok, but nothing worth what we paid for our drinks in a dive bar. I would not suggest it.

Sheen and Karaoke Nights with her as Karaoke Dj (Wednesdays and Thursdays) are the BEST!!! Good Vibes, Good Drinks and a lot of Fun!!!We have been coming here for Karaoke, on and off, for years, have experienced different Karaoke Djs - Sheen is the best!

Food was pretty good and the prices were great. We were there for happy hour and we enjoyed the $3 mai tais and a plate of nachos which fed 3 of us. It is definitely a bar so it was pretty loud in there but we enjoyed the ramdon oldies music selection. Overall we had a fun time and good food for a bar.

Good drink specials for happy hour but we got absolutely horrendous service. Took ages to get drinks and the server wasnt even busy, just chatted with her friends and forgot us. The manager was really rude as well. Wont be coming here again.

Food-tacos ($1 taco Tuesdays), tostadas, chimichangas, and nachos were good. Margaritas tasted just like sour mix. Service was not great. Server spent time talking with friends. She seemed to be annoyed by spilting our bill and us asking questions such as about the happy hour. Will not recommend this place on that alone.

Worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant in my life. We ordered food and drinks and after about 30 minutes our drinks arrived. Our appetizers arrived after the food and I personally never received my meal. The waitress never returned to get us additional drinks and we had to get our own from the bar. Terrible ser do not go there even if is the last place open. Ate a pizza from shaka and was fantastic I finally had a meal. The rest my group said the food was only mediocre at best for life is a beach

Authentic dive bar. If youre looking for a townie place to turn up this is the location for you. In all honesty though the happy hour is excellent, there really isnt a better one on the island. Lunch specials are the bomb after roasting on the beach. 10/10, Would patronize again.

This a locals bar so not too many tourists here. Nonetheless its by far my favorite place to hang out. Kind of gets rowdy here especially during football season.There is one pool table thats occupied most of the time, the music is good and gets loud at times, but by far the thing I like best is the happy hour mai tais. A carafe of the best mai tais around for $7.50 .... what a great deal. The only way you can top that is Taco Tuesday ...... $1.00 and $2.00 tacos ..... so good and the price .... well you cant find a better deal anywhere.If you are open to a casual atmosphere ....... really casual ..... then you you might just like it there too.Oh yeah there is also live music and karaoke in the evenings.Enjoy.

Very decent for one of the few reasonably priced places around here. I went in for a few quick beers and affordable dinner to go. Very comfortable casual vibe with higher number of Maui residents. I take one star off because my carnitas taco plate could have been prettier (the meat was ok but big cubes instead of shredded), and the amount of guacamole and salsa given as continents was very small in comparison to amount of somewhat dry meat, rice and beans. But dinner for 10 dollars here is almost unheard-of so not really fair for me to be a perfectionist. Ill definitely be going back, but probably not for the food.

Stopped in on a tuesday for maybe the best deal we found while on the island. $1 tacos and $2 mai tais. Food and service were good. The deal seemed unbeatable. Drinks were delicious but if you’re after a buzz with your food maybe stick to what you know. the mai tais, although delicious, didn’t get us there. After 5 we walked to the tiki lounge to cap the night with something a little stronger.

First night we came here on our trip to maui was great!! Good service, and karaoke! Second night went down hill quick!! We got there about thirty min before shift change. The first bartender was okay, the new bartender brought her boyfriend and his friends who did not like tourist!!! Needless to say but, If you are not from maui dont go here for night life unless you want to be harassed!

For real quick disappointed, the music was not good, the drinks were pricey, though we generously tipped them they were very rude and were not hesitating on letting us wait up to 15mn… go somewhere else !

This place was such a cool spot. It was full of locals, great drink prices and Saturday night had an amazing reggae band until 2AM.Play some pool, watch a sporting event or walk around the area, as its located in the BARmuda Triangle!

This place was everything I was looking for! The staff is lively and attentive and super fun to get to know. Say it with me…KARAOKE!!!! Drinks are cheap and you have a great view of the sunset…what more could you want?

The happiest place in Maui!!!! Next to my bed cause I love sleeping in after I leave here hahaha seriously though, my favorite place to get black out drunk lol staff is great, food rocks, Ive had a bunch of their burgers but the calamari rings are super good. I highly recommend this place for many reasons, one of which is the 24oz draft for 8 buck, cant beat that with a baseball bat.

Local spot to have a happy hour. I got the pint of mai tai and it was so delicious and low cost too. Tacos is cheap and good. Sometimes they have selective days for live music, open mic, and kaorke nights.

Will not go back. Rated for poor management on Friday 3/8: discrimination and inability to justify themselves appropriately. I had no substances in my system and was prepared to call the police to have a breathalyzer test, however I was out to dance and have a rather good time... I spent the next four hours dancing and throwing darts in a bar next door. I made a made a comment to a bouncer there on their vigilance in scanning the bar. They said, thank you. (For owners/management: I was escorted out by a very intimidatingly large bouncer who said sorry Im just doing my job, the manager wants you out for stumbling on dance floor. I was sitting on a stool watching a womens tennis match while waiting for the band to set up. I had no substances in my body. I asked to speak with manager whom said I was stumbling on dance floor, they bouncer went back inside came out and told me, she said, not now, come back after work. Sorry Im just doing my job. I left confused, unheard and disappointed at the judgement and lack of follow through at Hauis.)

Life’s a Beach is the #1 go-to spot to hang and eat in Kihei. It has By far the best location with the beach facing open patio, the best vibes on any staff (led by owner “Disco” Dan), and the homemade authentic Mexican food is the frickin BOMB 💣. Literally some of the best nachos and tacos I’ve ever had (and I’m from Cali!).

Great lunch special menu and cheap happy hour prices. I have only gone during lunch time, but the place is always pretty busy during the night time also. They have heaps of TVs for games and the staff was pretty nice.

It is what it is, and what it is makes it a local fav despite the slightly ghetto reputation. Cant beat lunch for 5 bucks, staff is always (overly) friendly and any hardcore drinker will fall in love with the strong pours and cheap happy hour.

If you’re looking for a dive bar that accepts you in your bathing suit and beach hair, this at be the place for you! It’s a beach bar. Not on the beach directly, but definitely has beach bar vibes. Friendly staff and cold beer.

Excellent specialty drinks and grilled mahi mahi wraps! The lunch special, $5 grilled chicken wrap and fries, was just ok. Would have been nice to have been asked if we wanted more drinks and to not have to sit unacknowledged for twenty minutes before asking for our tab. All-in-all we got what we paid for.

Love this unique little restaurant/bar. Good Mexican style good and yummy Mai tais. Almost as good as my hubbys.

Great happy hours. The 1L Mai Thai is awesome. Had the burrito and over indulged in absolutely all of it. Great place. More of a local feel.

Its Hawaii, so one shouldnt expect good mexican. From that perspective they are 5 star. Poor service, mediocre food...came cold. Good view of the park if you want to see the park.

Mahi Mahi tacos for taco Tuesday had no flavor. Mai Tai was $9 and tasted like a mix. We had three groups of two and noticed they already added in the tip for the check.

Public service announcement: Mai Tai = rum, triple sec, sours mix, grenadine, orange juice, pineapple juice. Orange juice and rum is just a weird screwdriver which is ok- just lower my expectations so I know Im going to get heartburn from the excessive amount of orange juice. Thanks.

It was okay. Honestly pretty busy and only one server and we ended up feeling forgotten, good maitai but not strong enough. Tacos were 6/10

Great bar, great karaoke, Dan the “MAN”ager is a very nice guy. Highly recommended to go on their karaoke nights.

We waited 30 minutes, then they started cooking the food and said we don’t have shrimp. 30 minutes. So we left. The cook wasn’t in the kitchen. Locals were served before us.

Havent eaten here but if you want to hear some great local music, check out the open mic. Drink prices are fair.

This is hands down the best bar on MauI!!! Lahania is for tourists. The locals hang out here and its the real Hawaiian vibe, not no tourists BS!

When you have no phone signal, its nice when you can get the password for the guest WiFi. The server would not give out the password even though they have a guest WiFi.

At lunch, it wasnt crowded at all, which is a plus. Food was mediocre, but service was decent. Tropical drinks were a little pricey ($9).
