We got a 60mins foot massage and it was absolute bliss. Started with a warm soak of the feet, and some arm massage. This was then followed by each foot and leg (up to the knee) being rubbed and massaged. They used hot stones toward the end. It was so relaxing and my lower legs feel great. They service is great, punctual, and the place is clean and organized.
The Best Massage! Not all massages are created equal and this place is great for athletes and people looking to improve their mobility and flexibility. The pressure was strong and deep and I left a little sore but feeling like my muscles and skeletal structure were actually moving into the right place. Made a second appointment before leaving. Thank you Wendy and we will see you soon!
Absolutely 10/10 recommend Kay for a deep tissue or hot stone massage. I went in after not being able to move my neck for a few days and walked out with full motion in my neck and feeling absolutely amazing. Loved the set up of the entire place, it’s relaxation the second you walk in the door. They provide a box to place jewelry in, in your room which I thought was a huge plus compared to most places. A delicious tea was provided after the massage which was also a nice step up from water most other places provide after. Definitely will be coming back!
I was in the area for a day and booked last minute for a massage and facial. Both were fabulous, especially the Vitamin C facial. The spa was clean, staff friendly and professional. One could not go wrong book a treatment at Zen Massage.
Absolutely amazing. Antwon is basically a god. I went in with sciatic nerve pain that took 3 months for physical therapy to fix last time and he fixed it overnight. Insanely recommended.
Somehow last week I tweaked my lower back and my neck, so it was suggested to me that acupuncture might be a good thing to try. So after calling Zen Garden, they suggested a 90 minute session with Anton where he would combine acupuncture with Tui Na (a form of Chinese massage) to hopefully bring me some relief. Well, they had me at the word “relief”, so I said “sign me up!”When you first walk into the lobby, your nose is immediately assaulted by the wonderful aroma of the essential oils bubbling in the diffuser (assuming you haven’t lost your sense of smell from Covid that is). But I could definitely smell it, and it was heavenly, so yay! No Covid. Point for me.I went ahead and checked in and was handed the normal paperwork with the usual questions: name, date of birth, where does it hurt, mother’s maiden name, street you grew up on, favorite pet’s name… no, I’m only kidding. It wasn’t quite that bad. But there were a lot of questions. After I turned in the paperwork, I was asked to take off my shoes and leave them on the mat by the front door. That’s when I realized I’d walked right by everyone else’s shoes on my way in. Whoops! My bad. Blonde moment. Finally Anton came and brought me back to the room. There were two tables, I suppose for if couples want to get side-by-side massages, but it was just little ‘ol me today. I “dressed down to my comfort level” (you know, the usual spiel), got face down on the table (which was heated, thankfully), then waited for Anton to come back in the room.I have to say that the Tui Na method of massage was definitely different than what I was used to with traditional Swedish or deep tissue massage. Even though it was my neck and lower back that were hurting, he didn’t concentrate only on those areas. He also focused on other areas of my body that were “on the same channel” that could be causing or at least adding to my issue. Now let me tell you, this was definitely not your relaxing, girls day at the spa, let’s sip champagne and munch on chocolate covered strawberries kind of massage. This was intense. I’m not going to lie. But all throughout, Anton kept asking me, “is this pressure okay?”, “is this too much?”, and I desperately wanted to feel better, so I let him work me over pretty good. And I could definitely feel my muscles starting to relax. After about 50 mins, it was time for the needles. I was slightly nervous, but there was really no reason for it. Anton was a definite pro. I hardly felt the needles go in at all. And I literally had them from head to toe. I even had a few in my tummy. Don’t ask me why. I can’t even begin to explain how it’s all connected. You’ll have to ask Anton when you go for your visit. But overall, it was pretty relaxing.Once I had laid there for awhile feeling like a human pincushion, trying not to accidentally dislodge any needles (to which I was “mostly” successful), Anton came back in the room and removed the remaining needles, which didn’t hurt in the least. And then it was time for me to get dressed. He met me out in the hallway with some tea, and I was headed home to see how I felt.I did have some mild relief last night, and today I noticed a little more improvement once I was up and moving around. Mostly in my lower back, but not so much in my neck. So am I totally healed? No. Will I try it again? Well, I’m still undecided.Overall, I loved the place and I loved the people. And Anton was amazing. But it was rather expensive, so I don’t know if I’ve had enough of an improvement (at least for me personally) to justify paying that kind of money to do it again. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.
Zen Garden is the best for massage! Everyone here is professional, well trained, kind, and the facilities are very clean and well kept! Love this place!!!
Beautiful location with a tranquil environment. Lucas pays great attention to detail and provides excellent massages. Highly recommend!
I work construction and with that been said my body muscles and joints goes through a lot of aches and pain. After My first appointment with zen garden it was the answer to all my prayers. I knew right then and there that I going to be back. Now I visit Zen Garden once week to once every two weeks. Not only Zen is a good choice, they also all Angels and everyone there treats their guest as Angels as well. Keep up the good work Zen
Excellent experience. Very clean. Lucas was thorough — would recommend for deep tissue massage. Very professional
I had my first massage in many years at Zen Garden yesterday as I was suffering from a terrible headache, and I was desperate for any relief. When I called to make my appointment, the receptionist was very friendly and knowledgeable and explained the differences between their massage services, which was very helpful since I had no idea what the differences were.I chose the Tui Na massage (which I had never heard of before) as I thought it would be the most beneficial for me as it focuses a lot on tendons and acupressure points that I felt might give me some relief from my headache.I went to the downtown 2nd Street location and was pleasantly surprised that there was a parking lot, so I didn’t need to stress about finding a parking spot. I was warmly greeted, and the “first appointment” paperwork was quick and easy. The office and massage area were very clean, beautiful, and calming.Anton was wonderful! He listened to me and understood that my goal was to help alleviate the stress and tension in my body to try to help reduce my headache pain. He communicated with me throughout the session to ensure that I was comfortable with the pressure he was using, and he explained how different parts of the body and muscle tracks can affect headache pain which absolutely made sense. When I left the appointment, I could immediately feel a significant difference in the stress throughout my body (particularly in my shoulders, neck, and lower back – which were the focal points for my massage) and in the intensity of my headache.Today my headache pain is almost gone, and I simply feel less stress and tension throughout my body. Some of my muscles are a little sore, but that was to be expected as I haven’t had a massage in years. I will MOST DEFINITELY come back and see Anton at Zen Garden in the future when my tension gets too bad, or I just want to treat myself to a massage.
Absolutely love Zen garden is such a good place to come to unwind your soul specially, if you had a stressful week. I had a really bad knot on my shoulder, and one of the therapist really hooked me up. The place is very clean, Therapist are very professional and prices pretty reasonable, I’m a regular, so definitely Support small business.
Zen Garden is wonderful! I come here frequently to help with ongoing neck and shoulder issues and each person I’ve seen has left me feeling like a new person. Highly recommend it! Staff is friendly and welcoming.
The Tui Na massage was amazing. Fern did a wonderful job working out all the knots and tenderness. I will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend giving them a try.
We have been clients of Zen Garden for several years and thier services have always been amazing. We have given gift certificates as gifts, and our friends and family still come here as well. The Team is friendly and kind.Matt
My friend and I were visiting from out of town and decided to treat ourselves to massages. We both agreed the service was 5 stars and in our top 5 of massages anywhere. Excellent from start to finish. Had the special $119 massage with lavender scrub and loved it.
The most effective therapy I’ve ever had. Anton is absolutely the best there is at what he does.
Everyone is great, all kinds of styles to choose from. Love this place. Just had a massage with a new person because my regular was booked and it was amazing.
I booked my schedule over the phone and the process was pretty smooth. The person who scheduled me was super friendly and professional. I received several calls prior to my appointment to confirm my appointment which I thought it was excessive, but its better than no follow up. In addition, I received another follow up via email. In terms of our experience, our massage therapist were great. Jennifer and Baily were super knowledgeable and knew exactly what they were doing. They are great if you are looking for a solid Deep Tissue or Sport Massage.
Felt so relaxing and comfortable from start to finish, clean and soothing environment and would absolutely come back!
After my 3rd visit i feel compelled to leave a review because of the consistently great service that i have received from Zen Garden. This place understands good service and the massages that i have received have been incredible. I have seen Alexis and Heather, they are both great at their profession and have helped heal me. I suffer from some serious back and hip issues and both ladies have me on the road to recovery! You will be hard pressed to find a better place to go! One final note is their Covid protocols are dialed in and i felt they took great care in making sure both their clients and their staff are kept safe!
Anton has been such a positive force of change for me. He is incredibly knowledgeable, gentle and productive. Can’t recommend him enough!
Been going to Zen Garden Massage and Spa in Lake Oswego for a few yrs. Their Tuina and Table Thai techniques help stretch me out, plus soothing my aches and pains after a long work week. Kay and Joanne are both great therapists. Just had a tuina massage with cupping today and feeling a lot better. Im a firm believer in massage therapy and will keep going back to Zen Garden for some me time 🙂
I had a session with therapist Kay. She is awesome! The one hour session was very productive , getting rid of many knots and tense spots on my back and neck. The shop is super clean and upscale. It’s a joy.
Lucas and Wendy were AMAZING—date night was excellent!
Wow 🤩 I try to find a good spa for so many years, and finally found it now. A lot of stretching helped my lower back feel so much better! A lot of candles, soothing music, water fountain, and good smells. Totally recommend the Thai massage! I will back soon!!!
Poor experience. Planned my trip to Oregon over a month ago. Made an itinerary of things to do while here. We booked our massage and was told the location on 2nd. We drive there just to be told they cant find us anywhere in the system. After traveling 45 minutes to get there. We wouldnt be able to get in until 2:45 because of this. Not likely to return.
Bought a very expensive couples massage as a surprise and when we arrived there about 15 minutes earlier than our schedule, front desk employee had the audacity to tell me I was 30 minutes late and now I could only get a partial massage from what I paid for, I decided not to argue thinking I was actually late but after re-checking my info, I was indeed 15 minutes early. I paid for the full pack couples massage (over 300$) with all the add-ons possible and got a flimsy quick 20-30 minute massage that was as good as a mall quick massage, even worse was being told that I was late and ruining a couples surprise when I was not, terrible way to keep scheduling and new customers. They also stated they would send me a credit refund to go back there, and never even heard from them after that bad experience.
Relaxing environment with great therapists.Very welcoming.
Had a couples massage booked, and when we got there were told because we didn’t notify them earlier that my girlfriend was pregnant they could not go forward with the service. But still charged us full price for the massage that they denied us for. No options to re schedule or for a refund.
Got a couples massage here, really nice space!
Zen Garden downtown Lake Oswego is one of the best. Always friendly staff and great therapists. Been going here for years. You wont be disappointed.
I used to be Therapiest here, worst employer ever, don’t trust what she promised you, such as Bonus, many former employees told me that none of them had received such money from this company. Today is my last day. I was suspecting she has been shorten on my pay check, turn out to be truth, one of former employees found out that she was around $200 short. Also she forbids me from checking my own schedule history on company’s computer today, because she said the minute she fired me, I lost my right to check, she said I have to get a lawyer to do that.
Amazingly calming space and soooo relaxing the 90 min facial
The atmosphere is peaceful and calm. After having issues with upper back and neck, most of the pain has been healed from cupping and deep tissue massage. I highly recommend this place.
I had Wendy massage me. I highly recommend her if you enjoy a strong massage. The location has a nice atmosphere and is relaxing. Overall amazing experience.
I have been going here for years. This is a family owned company. The massage therapists really know what they are doing! My body gets a full reset every time.
Very professional, courteous staff and the ambiance is amazing. My appointment was on time and my massage was fantastic!!Highly recommended this second office of Zen Garden Massage!!
The best massage i’ve ever had in my life. Joanne was amazing! i’ll absolutely be back.
Absolutely love Zen Garden. Kay works magic on my whole family.
A relaxing foot massage. They started a bit late, but we were still given our full hour. A nice staff. I highly recommend them.
