Beautiful rooms, has everything we needed and then a bit extra! Felt very clean! The property itself was beautiful! I enjoyed even just walking around! We didnt make it to any of the events but they all seemed very cool! The food truck smelled very good but was expensive, we didnt get to try it! The Landry facility was wonderful and convenient!
The room was nice and had everything we needed. Everyone was friendly and helpful at the resort. It would be nice if the marketplace had a better selection of groceries and there was an actual restaurant on site. The location was okay. Needed to Uber almost everywhere. The shuttle wasnt very convenient to our schedule. There was a nice restaurant in walking distance.
The rooms look absolutely stunning after the remodel. Plus, the shuttle service is a fantastic perk, making it easy for residents to get to and from the strip. My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay at the resort.
All I can say is this place was well worth the money and time. The only thing they need is a on sight restaurant thats it. They gave a market place and food truck. The shuttle takes you to and from the Westgate Resort its a lot of other places as well like Walmart. This the best experience ever. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I will be back. I think its time to become an owner. Look it up and you will see. They Rock.
It was our first time in vegas and the resort was amazing. Rooms were a little dirty like they just ran through and fixed bed with new sheets and put some fresh towels in, cause I had to sweep and rewash dishes because they had food on them. But after that it was amazing we loved it planning another trio as we speak.
Staff were really knowledgeable of the area and were very sweet. The resort had a lot of fun options and was kid and pet friendly. Located near a few good restaurants. Not far from the strip.
The grounds and our one-bedroom unit were clean, well taken care of and beautiful. Every single one of the staff we encountered was friendly and very helpful including the shuttle drivers. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub and made the most of them with the hot weather. Wonderful vacation spot.
Im an owner at Westgate. Recently booked my vacation. Within 24 hours I was scheduled to go over to the main hotel to meet with a concierge. This was supposed to be a time when I could ask questions and just make sure that I was overall happy with my timeshare.Upon arriving at the main hotel, I was brought into another sales seminar where Ursula attempted to upgrade my timeshare. I let her know there was nothing wrong with my timeshare. She brought in her director, David. A word to the wise, if David shows up, walk away. When you dont do what David wants you to do, he gets very upset and makes you feel like youre the biggest POS in the world. High pressure sales techniques that many will succumb to. Just let them know that youre not interested in walk away. Trust me on this oneDavid, get a life!!!! Quit trying to pressure people into something they dont want!!!!!
Calling this a resort is a little bit of an overstatement. Resorts I normally stay at I would actually enjoy hanging out on the property all day to have a rest day while vacationing, but that isnt the case here. The staff are friendly and happy to assist but the rooms are very outdated. The TVs are old and the pool is a pretty small size compared to most resorts. It has nothing special going on here-you could find other places that are way better for the price. Honestly it just feels like an apartment complex that got slightly renovated.
Only stayed one night but would have enjoyed more. We had room 1323 which had a small comfortable living room, gas fireplace, complete kitchen, hot tub, nice shower. The grounds are pretty and well maintained Check in was simple and quick. Small convenience store on site. Easy access to surrounding area.
Flamingo Bay was underwhelming and disappointing from the start of our trip. Upon arrival, we were placed in a small and dark unit. After getting settled we found out the fridge was not operating correctly - the food and drinks we brought along with us were not staying cold. Also, the shower in the bathroom was not cleaned throughly and had mold.We did get moved to a upper floor room, that was much brighter, very clean and all the appliances worked correctly. As members of Westgate, I dont believe we will be staying at the property in the future.
We stayed here for a week while my wife was participating in the Rock N Roll Half Marathon. We liked being a bit off the strip to get away from the crowds and noise. The resort is in a reasonably good area and has a well managed security gate. Good access to the strip by the hotel shuttle bus (very comfortable) or by city bus (which was fine). Excellent staff - very friendly and great service. Resort is well maintained and our room was very good. Thanks Adrienne and the rest of the crew!
Far exceeded my expectations. Some weirdness checking in with our reservation we paid online around 9 pm. No record of it at front desk at 1 am when we finally made it. It thought they werent going to let us come in the gate, very confused how that could happen. Ended up being able to get the room from the front desk for cheaper, though. Have to figure out if we were charged twice. We loved it. Very family friendly. Very safe. Gated in.
This was a perfect place for a relaxing stay. The condos are lovely, pool was clean and refreshing and the staff was great. Don’t miss the food truck for breakfast! There is also games to play on the premises and an ice machine.
Outstanding the whole Resort that I used and seen were clean and trash free I love this resort.Im a owner for over 15years and I really enjoyed my stay at this resort. I think beening a owner for over 15 years and spreading the word about Westgate Flamingo Bay Resort Location and it Service I would hope for another week at this resort anytime. Michael Bryant a Gold menber.
My daughter walked into the bathroom and a scorpion stung her on her toe. While at hospital my son found another one on the couch. Im pretty sure they knew about them. My room was 1924 dont let them put you in there. This was a vacation from hell. They did change our room 4 hours later. We had to fly back to Florida early because of my childs fever. I want my money back this wad awful
June was very helpful when we were getting checked in. Unfortunately no one else was very helpful when there wasn’t enough hot water to fill a fourth of the tub we had. We waited 2 hours for the water to recharge and barely got anything. When I complained no one cared. Will not recommend or stay here again. Will be reporting to BBB.
I was rather disappointed, for being a resort we had to leave often, and the shuttle service they provided was limited on times and only to one spot on the strip. No airport shuttle. Which defeats the purpose of a resort. I should be able to visit without a car rental. Impossible with this site. The staff was nice, but unhelpful.
Zero stars is better.Worst customer service possibleScrewed us hard on our reservation even when we made concessions to resolve an issue.UnbelievableZero star trash stay at a real strip casino
I have been a westgate timeshare owner since 2010 and I am paid in full. Yesterday I arrived at the Westgate Flamingo Bay resort where I currently have a 6 night reservation with my sister as a birthday vacation for her. When we arrived the gate keeper was very rude to us and our driver. After getting past that, we checked in and went to our Villa. Once in my room I found a Bark Scorpion in my room crawling around in the master bath. I tried calling front desk several times however, the telephones in the villa were not working at the time so I called from my cellphone. I explained my issue and asked for housekeeping to be sent to our room and the attendant stated she would send someone. 30 mins went by and no one arrived so I called again as well as sent a text message to them to the number provided during check-in in which a representative named Alee responded saying she would follow up with the request for them to come to my room. Another 20 mins go by and no one arrived so my sister and I traveled back to the Registration center to speak in person. When I got there the 2 clerks spoke amongst each other and one walked off to use the phone, assuming to make a call about me coming to the front desk now instead of calling a third time. I explained my issue and asked for another room because we are extremely tired and no one had come to address the issue in over an hour now. I was told they couldnt accommodate us with another room and that they would try to get someone to come to my room. I had an 8hr travel from Washington DC (DCA), an almost 2 in a half hour layover in Atlanta, and arrived in Vegas after 630pm . It took over an hour for them to get someone to come to our room and he confirmed it was indeed a Scorpion which in his opinion was rare to have seen one in the rooms and he believed they were coming up through the drains. It took until almost 9pm to get this issue resolved. Luckily this wasnt an extreme emergency and for them to handle this issue the way they did tonight, was unacceptable. Im not happy at all and rather embarrassed to have brought my sister out to Vegas to stay at the Westgate resort only for her to witness this type of reaction from westgate staff towards their loyalty owners. She was uncomfortable and wanted to make accommodations elsewhere for the remainder of our stay. This is very disappointing and I have two family members whom I encouraged already to purchase with Westgate but I will no longer recommend them because this treatment is very unprofessional. Bark Scorpions are poisonous and we dont encounter these in Washington DC. Im just glad neither of us got stung.
Upon arrival the stay was really good however we had a guest overtop of our heads and we contacted security and it went on for 3 out of the 5 days we where there the guest was very disrespectful and didn’t listen to security her kids where jumping off furniture . Then management named Francisco played the race card and we weren’t the problem
Very clean and spacious two bedroom villa.Perfectly stocked kitchen and villa was tastefully decorated.Very friendly and helpful staff.Johnny the concierge was outstanding.Overall 5 stars
Love this place, quiet, secure, have all necessary things in your little home and market place is helpful for quick access within few steps from your home. I recommend to my friends and I’ll see you in my next trip to Vegas!
Westgate looks for every possible way to stack a fee. Every year its another way to charge and more and more every year. This year, we found a small error in the booking and wanted to move it back one day. They require a $159 fee to do this when they charge way less per night. After 15+ years of membership, and based on a mistake they made; they expect to charge for a small change. So disapointed in WG and think they need to put the hospiality into what they are doing.
Everything was fine - I have stayed there many times- Lynn at the front desk is an outstanding person and employee - take good care of Lynn !
Made a reservation Feb 16 through a booking agency. Showed up at 10pm. Their system was down. By 12pm they say, “no you dont have a reservation.” Did not look at our receipts, at our itinerary or our booking confirmation. Gaslit us saying if we had really booked when we said we did, they would have had it by now. So we are lying. I’m not even sure the retards took our last name. Just no. Furthermore, not even an attempt to help. Literally left us to sleep in our rental car like it’s not their problem. It’s after hours so the booking company is closed. For the record, the booking agency is exclusive to airline employees, to use their employee discounts. And while trust me, I will chew them out after I get some sleep, the customer service people here are asinine. Update 3/3/24: I called the booking agency and they confirmed they had booked the reservation AND that the resort had confirmed it. They offered to give us a call back after they sort it out. Well, when they called back they informed us that the resort refused to honor the reservation at the price we paid when we made it, because regardless of when we booked it they were charging more per night and if we wanted to stay, we needed to double what we paid. So the booking agency gave us a full refund and an apology at this point. For the record, the booking agency’s refund is already in my account… but I am leaving this review in as many places I can because people should be warned: you could drive 8 hours, show up at this place, and they won’t honor the reservation they confirmed if they feel they can hustle you for money.
Great clean home away from home! Not far from the strip! Enough space for 2 -4 people. Would stay again when in Vegas!!
Stayed here over the weekend for Father’s Day weekend ….stay was going well until me and the wife had to change rooms ,we were staying in room 2028 then went to 1628…in the process of the transfer with the help of security errnest.woke up got ready the next day looking to wear my $1000 fendi shoes(missing) called repeatedly and went back to or previous room to avail they said no one enter the room since the change but when ask to scan the lock to see it is was entry since we left 4x the room was entered…..now management states it’s nothing they can do…..we are very much disappointed and wish you all don’t take the chance with this unprofessional establishment
Just had my 60th birthday weekend here Nov 4th through today with six of us ladies. Rented two rooms a few months ago. Upon arrival at 4:00 pm check-in we were told only one room was available due to a party in the second room and it had been trashed with television stolen. Kept checking back with front desk but room wasn’t available until around 8:00 pm. Room had just had walls patched and smelled of paint. Only compensation they would give was $25 credit for the convenience store. Then the last two nights in my room pot smell was coming through the air vents in the bedroom. My daughter and I both sharing this room and we both have asthma. I called the front desk finally last night and they said they would investigate. Nothing resolved and had to sleep with windows open. Also for three nights and four days we were provided 1 roll of toilet paper. When we realized the roll was out and there was no more in cabinets it took an hour and a half to get a damn roll of toilet paper. I’ve stayed at this property twice before and it was great but I would never recommend it to anyone I know now and will inform one of the timeshare owners that I know just about what happened!
It was a scorpion in my room also no power in one of the rooms then they closed the pool and area was not it the work service took them 30 mins just to help us
We thoroughly enjoyed this resort. Staff were extremely friendly and the accomodations were super. They offer shuttle service to the Strip, Fremont Street, and the Westgate Casino on the Strip, which was so wonderful. And what was even better was to be able to come back to this resort away from all the neon and noise. I would highly recommend this resort.
I loved the property the employees was nice and respectful the only thing I have a problem with is I never got my $200 deposit back gave me the run around and I gave up
The property is nicely landscaped, grounds keeper does a nice job, theres no trash flying around, the inside of our room was clean and in tact. However, there was a small leak in our room that turned into a faucet by the end of the day. We literally waited over 14 hours for this issue to be fixed. Protocol is that we should have been offered to switch rooms. We had to request more towels on top of drying the towels that were completely soaked. Apparently, theres only one property manager? We had to wait two days to speak with said management. The pool reeked of urine! I dont think the pool is a salt water pool. Hence, water got into my childrens mouths. Overall, our stay was not the worst, but I wouldnt want to return.
I was pleasantly surprised by the resort. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The front desk is nice and it is very close to the strip.
This location is great for their 2 bedrooms plus full living/dining and kitchen with washers and dryers. The staff was amazing. Everyone was so polite. The grounds were well kept. They are are upgrading so I enjoyed the stay. The beds were comfortable and staff was very attentive.Location is on Flamingo. Its about 2 miles away from the Palms Hotel. Gated and secure with plenty of parking.
Rooms are nicely updated and parking is a breeze. Maria at the front desk was so nice, welcoming and accommodating! Location feels safe and is pretty quiet. Within a 10 minute drive of the strip.
As of 5/24 the room was very nice. Looks like the whole room was updated with new furniture and appliances and parking was great, as an owner I was pleased to see my maintenance fees were put to great use. Everyone we approached at the facility was very nice and helpful
Everything was great....from the moment we arrived we were greeted and informed if all the various amenities the resort offered. Our 2 bedroom villa was gorgeous and very clean. The staff was very friendly and they always made sure that we were well taken care if. The property alone was BEAUTIFUL and very inviting. We will definitely be coming bk.
Enjoyed my stay. Enjoyed the property. Very clean. Love the fact they provide shuttle bus to the strip. Food trucks service on the property on certain days. I will be returning.Only down fall is I needed a firm mattress. All mattress in my condo were very soft yet comfortable.
The Front desk employee is an extremely a rude person. I felt very unwanted, I don’t even know what I did to upset her
Very nice! I would definitely stay here again. Parking was adequate and available spaces close to the rooms. Staff was very courteous and professional. There is a gate guarded entry to the premises, which adds to the nice security feature. Amenities were great. The only downsides were being too close to the pool which had very noisy party goers all night, and the on-campus Starbucks had a broken coffee machine so had to drive a mile down the road for coffee. Still, I recommend this stay very much.
So for our 20 year anniversary (July) we planned a trip a little further than driving distance from our home in SC. We chose Westgate Flamingo Bay in Las Vegas, NV after asking on here for opinions of the 2 options in Vegas…..from a Westgate FB page. thanks. By far it was the right fit for us. It is a small resort off strip that is gated. Rooms were clean and nice. Furniture was not worn out or broke like we often find in Gatlinburg. Grounds were super nice with basic amenities. There was one pool and hot tub that was extremely clean unlike many of the other resorts we have stayed at. We rented a car so we were able to travel to areas other than the the strip and Fremont st. There is a shuttle which can be a little confusing and you have to sign up due to limiting seating but we had no issues getting the times we wanted. Pick up times were spaced every 2 hours and they leave promptly. We are not gamblers so our time was spent sight seeing. Red rock canyon was 20 minutes away we spent better part of the day hiking there and driving the loop. We went to the Westgate casino and checked out some of that resort and watched a magic show. The show was pretty cheap due to being on Westgate property. We have seen better magic acts but she did use a lot of audience participation. The west rim Grand Canyon was pricey but we loved it. We were there for the views and not the post and likes so it was right up our ally of things to do. It’s a ride if driving but there are several tours from Las Vegas if you don’t have a rental. On the way we stopped at Lake Mead overlook and it’s impressive how low it is. Hoover Dam was a stop that we did. It was neat but chose not to do the tour . So to food , our love lol. First day we were beat so after checking in found Spice Indian Cuisine which was a buffet and very good and right down the street and next to Smiths grocery. Sakana Sushi was another place we tried, had to go twice just to insure we liked it so much the first time. It’s an all you can eat off the menu in a 90 minute span at a reasonable price. There are rules to ordering and they will let you know all that upon ordering. On the strip we had to do In & Out Burger. It was inexpensive and good. Food possibilities are endless without breaking the bank and I suggest doing research before coming. We really wanted to the Sugar Factory but it was just too long of a walk on the strip and several locations were closed permanently. Last but not least , we are from the south where southern hospitality is our specialty, but everyone we met here was over the top nice and accommodating. Especially at the resort. This is something that has dwindled to almost non existent at WGSM. Everyone here at Flamingo Bay were proud to be here and it showed. We were poked and prodded by the concierge at check in and she was persistent about scheduling us although we told her several times no. We notified her again the morning of that we wouldn’t be showing. Overall, if you want more laid back choose Flamingo Bay. If you want gambling and crowds choose Westgate Casino. Choose Fremont St over the strip ANY DAY….trust me, you will thank me for that tidbit of info!!!! Don’t limit yourself to experiencing just the overpriced strip , venture out . Last but not least, Vegas has more to offer than just Gambling. A week was not enough time to take it all in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, experience and FOOD!!!!
This was the best Westgate we’ve stayed at so far. The room was in great condition and very clean. The maintenance gentlemen did an amazing job keeping the grounds clean and looking beautiful. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this resort to couples or families; the room was quiet and we didn’t hear anyone at night.
Real caring staff. Nice resort rooms are very clean. Everything is convenient.
THE WORST EVER - It doesnt even deserve a star. I wish I could put a rotten tomato or a skull with cross bones as its a danger to your health. I am an owner and used my timeshare. The pool was closed by the Department of Health (DOH) during our stay after we had already used the pool. The following week my entire family (including my 2 year old daughter) was sick. I was treated by Kaiser for Molluscum Cantagiosum. It took over 1 year to receive a response. I requested information on why the DOH closed the pool and never received a reason in writing. Alan Case is the case worker was more concerned with collecting my maintenance fee than the safety of my family. I cant sell because NOBODY wants it, so Im stuck. This post is a warning to others. They should close this place for public safety!
My brother and I decided to stay here for his birthday last month. This is my 2nd time staying here. My first being in 2009. The renovations theyve done to the units are really nice and modern. And they have maintained the property very well. They had a food truck one night. The food wasnt great but it was a nice edition.Pros: The resirt is gated. Which is good because the area is sketchy. There are grocery stores and resturaunts conviently near by. All of the units have been updated. Stainless steel appliances can be found in the kitchen, LVP wood flooring throughout the unitThe living area offers a gas dining room, nice size television, very comfortable sofa and lounge chair and a really nice gas fireplace. The dining area was very nice and another option for dining would be the counter off of the kitchen. The guest bathroom is ADA accessible which I needed since I just had knee surgery. The beds mattresses were comfortable and if you needed anything, the front desk was quick with bringing extra items.Cons: The walls on the unit are paper thin. If you have a room in the front ,beware you can hear everything the neighbors are doing outside of your window. I dont know if they were renovating above us. But 6am is not an appropriate time and guest should be notified. The knobs on the closet doors were coming off, they need an ironing board to go with iron, a keurig would be more modern. The shuttle bus is not ADA accessible which sucked because if you did not have a vehicle, you had to spend alot on public transportation. That was really inconvenient. Especially with it being so far away from the strip. All of the TVs dont offer the same channels. It would be nice if they had atleast one resturaunt or snack bar by the store.Prior to arriving I spoke via text with the concierge about balloons and a cake for my brothers birthday. I really wanted it to be special. He said no problem and that he would take care of everything. Upon arrival our suite was not ready as they said it would be. Once we got to our suite there were no balloons or anything. I asked the new concierge about it. She called the person that I had been in touch with and he claimed that he had no information. I showed her the text message chain with the date of arrival, what I was looking for and all of his responses. She just shook her head. Luckily I had a backup .Overall our stay was decent. Just needs some tweaks. Especially the ADA accessibility. My parents are owners with westgagte and my mom needs ADA accessibility. They werent pleased to know this was jot available. Especially with all of the senior guest that I saw stating here. There was a gentleman that worked the front desk and was very helpful. He came to the room to get my bag and escorted the uber onto the property so that I woukd not have to walk outside of the gate on my crutch
Decent looking place. Has a good rate and lower fees over most of the casino/hotels. It was quiet when we were there. Appears to have been some remodeling done recently...but not such great quality, and rough around the edges. We had a very confusing check-in with the overnight person at the desk. She was seriously scattered and flustered. Even checked one group from our party into a room that wasnt ready for occupancy due to the remodel, and called our room as we were all checking in to let them know to come back and redo everything. Their new room did not have a single TV of the 3 that worked and service was called. We had to call service for our room the next day because the heat did not work. We came back later in the day and they had fixed it...or so we thought. It stopped working again later that evening. We gave up and used the oven to heat the space the next morning and after when needed.
We stayed at this specific resort for 10 days and it was excellent. It was quiet and well maintained. The entire staff was very friendly, helpful, and always willing to lend a helping hand. The living space was perfect for my husband and I. We have been owners of Westgate LV Casino Elite for some time and even upgraded our ownership while there!! We will definitely be back to this resort.
I stumbled upon Westgate, hoping to make a worthwhile investment in a vacation timeshare, but unfortunately, my experience has been nothing but a nightmare. The company has shown a clear lack of ethics and integrity, only caring about stealing peoples hard-earned money. The sales team at Westgate is notorious for using manipulative tactics to persuade customers to make a purchase. They promise the world, but once you sign on the dotted line, everything changes. There are no options out, and when you contact them, they act indifferent and suggest that you sell it or give it to a family member, disregarding the significant financial burden that comes with owning a timeshare.I urge anyone reading this to stay away from Westgate at all costs. Their customer service is non-existent, and their policies are designed to benefit them and only them. You can never useyour timeshare because it is never available. As someone who has been on the receiving end of their poor business practices, I suggest you not to make the same costly mistake that I did.In conclusion, I wouldnt wish Westgates services on my worst enemy. If youre thinking about investing in a vacation timeshare, please dont do it with Westgate. Save yourself the heartache, stress, and financial burden that comes with doing business with a company that only cares about filling their pockets.
Absolutely frightful! My children and I are owners of a two bedroom deluxe with a loft villa at Westgate Vacation Villas Resorts in Orlando, Florida. I traded our larger unit for what they call a two bedroom deluxe at Westgate Flamingo Bay Resort. When my son and I checked in, the staff immediately tried to schedule us for a presentation. This trip was my sons birthday present. And we did not fly across country to sit through any presentation wasting our and their time. The gentleman who escorted us to the unit was nice and informative. He was my point of contact throughout our stay for our filthy unit and my SCORPION bite. I would like to say that the resort is located on a busy main street. Since our unit was located on the front of the resort, the traffic noise was unbearable especially for a light sleeper.Upon entry to our unit it looked clean and fairly recently remodeled. However, as we started looking around the unit it had not been throughly cleaned or vacuumed. Someone previously had a party in there and attached double-sided tape on the overhead light fixtures and curtain rods. Black circular confetti was everywhere. There were straggler ants crawling along the wall by the thermostat. My son has OCD and immediately investigated the source. Behind the dryer beside the water heater was a pile of garbage... An empty family size Nabisco Chips Ahoy! Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies empty wrapper, miscellaneous junk, dust and dirt balls, and utensils. As we continued to walk through the unit, the oven was filthy so I decided to clean it with the self clean mode. Mistake! Our eyes burned and watered for several hours. The washing machine and the dishwasher had a permanent dirty residue. No one had ever cleaned either appliance. And their laundry and dishwasher soap were useless. We wiped everything... all of the furniture in the kitchen, dining area, living room, bedrooms, especially the dirty phones. Yuck! There was no vacuum cleaner available and the dirty rugs needed vacuuming. We thoroughly cleaned the bathroom. Surprisingly, the whirlpool tub was cleaner than expected but it was thoroughly cleaned again. The frame of the bed had a collection of dust, plastic drink tops, broken clear/white plastic barbs (fasteners to hold items price tags), coins, and anything lost. The TVs were antiquated with no built-in apps or AirPlay. They were wall mounted. However, there was no way to access the HDMI ports to use an external device. Next to the TV there were glass shelves with wall outlets with USB ports which was accessible and convenient. However, there was no HDMI Hub.Five days into our weeks vacation, I decided not to wear my sneakers. I picked up one of my black boots, shook it out as always, and put it on my foot. As I pick up my other boot, there was intense pain, numbness, and slight swelling. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? I dropped the boot and ran to the sink to rinse the blood and venom off my finger. My son saw the scorpion crawling towards the curtain in the master bedroom and stomped it. We left the dead scorpion in place so the housekeeper could see it. My son drove me to the urgent care down the street. They sent me to the Health Department. They sent me to UMC Hospital. A wasted day! I called the gentlemen who escorted us to the unit to inform him about the incident. Not once did he tell me to report it to security to make an incident report. He was still trying to get me to sit through a presentation. On Friday morning we had planned to check out early and drive to Southern CA. However, it snowed in SoCal and Interstate 15 was shut down. We ended up staying for two additional night at the owners rate of $338.16 per night for the same unit! A ripoff because we cleaned that unit and didnt want to chance cleaning another filthy unit.
Worst stay ever. Upon check in we found our room to be filthy. We found several items left behind by the previous guest including a shoe, markers, hair items and trash. The walls were covered in filth and the floors left our socks black after just a couple minutes. Balls of hair that weren’t ours, windows with face and fingerprints all over them and just generally disgusting conditions. It was late and our kids were exhausted so we looked beyond all that and TRIED to get some sleep. Instead we were kept up all night by the people upstairs and the paper thin walls. We called to ask to be let out of our reservation and were told they couldn’t do anything until AFTER we checked out. We checked out and we’re told a manager would be in that afternoon to review our request. Now we are being told it can only be handled through the corporate office and all the numbers bring us to a recording that they are closed until January 4th. Never will I stay at a west gate again.
One is the lowest rating I was allowed. This place is THE worst place I have ever experienced in my life. This was supposed to be a good trip for my wife and I. Westgate resorts booking misrepresented this place. The sheets and what appears to be cover is super old. There are no dressers to store your belongings and you will have to live out of your suitcases for a 1 bedroom Villa. To upgrade it is another $80 a night added to your existing total. The closet is super small. There is a jetted tub 2 feet from the bed. You can barely move around for the shower because the toilet is a foot away. This place looks NOTHING like the pictures on the website. They do not clean daily supposedly due to COVID. Check in staff was no help and were unbudging even though this room had smokers. The only thing good about this place is that it is gated. This is a Hood Hotel. This was supposedly part of our Westgate vacation package. We spent not one night there since the fee was non-refundable. We paid $650 for a place that was so undesirable my wife was in 😢 tears about staying there.
When I arrived to the resort not only was there rooms ready for me, but also I had the option to choose whether I wanted to stay on the top floor or ground floor ( I got the top floor) but the lady at the front desk upgraded my room for my anniversary.Unfortunately I can’t remember her name at the moment, but five stars for not only her but also too the concierge that she recommended me to for my first time out in Vegas. It was much appreciated service since getting there was very stressful hassle on me and my partner; but we were very grateful to just get there and be there. Also too leaving there was difficult as well, but once again the people at the front desk were very supportive and accommodating. I’ve even signed up to be a timeshare owner, because they didn’t try to sell me on anything and the people are good. They actually like their job or their pay because they act like it.Location wise it’s one of the closest resorts from the strip and the HRI airport by car. We had a rental the entire time so I can’t really speak on ride shares or on foot. I do recommend you hydrate hydration! We went in June 2022 and boyyyyy it was HOT! 110 degrees
The place was cool. For such a short notice and a couple technical difficulties, we were made a priority. The location is gated and is pretty safe. I enjoyed the amenities like the pool and giant chess board. The room we stayed at was more than enough. We had to use the sofa bed and it was not great at all, but what sofa bed is comfortable anyway. The main room bed and jacuzzi was great. My only problem was that is was crowded and small. The kitchen had everything needed (pans, pots, silverware, plates, and many other things) to make all the food we needed for the week. Apart from those details the place was great to chill.
First of all, we immediately got scammed into a timeshare program proposal after getting to the unit. Be very careful when you are asked to do a review of the property. Its all lies covered under the guise of good service. The place overall has a nice appearance but is very rough around the edges. Many surfaces uncleaned and the furniture very worn. The tub was also backed up.Also service! We requested a hair drier three times and never received it during the entire stay. We also were promised immediate attention from our personal concierge, and got lackluster responses. Finally, who does a ten am checkout? This was super early and there was no flexibility. Stay clear of Westgate.
The rooms were fine, at first we were happy and liked the rooms we stayed at, the staff was welcoming. When shown to our room the concierge conned us into a time share presentation. How you might ask? By telling me if I would like to join them for breakfast in the morning. I thought it was included with our stay. So of course we decided to show up. After figuring out we were in fact not going to a complimentary breakfast, we told them that we didn’t know we were coming in to buy anything. Still they persisted and said that if we just went through a presentation we would be given a stay at the west gate and a gift card. After multiple times saying we do not want everything after the presentation, They were still pushy. Never giving anyone the benefit of the doubt again. They don’t know peoples boundaries, extremely pushy, “but in a nice way” we were conned out of our time and came out with a huge head ache and negative feelings. To bad this put a downer on a stay that I could have given them 5 stars.I’m only giving two stars for the fine rooms we stayed at, even though the water smelled something horrible like rotten eggs
This hotel is really nice and has pretty everything you want. The rooms even have a little laundry room! If youre looking for a fancy hotel in Vegas, this is the one.
Absolutely horrible. We are owners who transferred here from Florida and had to do a presentation like always trying to get us to upgrade the guy was really nice and very helpful did an amazing job untill we turned him down for the upgrade cuz it wasnt the right time for us once we did that he didnt even walk us out and we were already owners that was extremely disrespectful. The bed in our room is broken when i went to the front desk i was told they didnt have any mattress so we were given a small blanket to try and fix the mattress it didnt work. The stay was decent for the 1st 5 days and then about 50 motorcycles showed up and were in the parking lot partying being extremely noisy and riding the bikes all night. Extremely surprised this is allowed will definitely be going to be looking into this its extremely disappointing.
This is a great place to stay. The staff was welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed walking around the facilities, shopping at the marketplace and playing the outdoor games. We will definitely be back!!😊
This is like your own apartment. Very quiet and clean. I love it. Staff is available 24/7. They are really friendly. The jacuzzi took forever to fill tho. Besides that. This place was amazing. I even took my kids. Very kid friendly. There is a shuttle that takes you to and from the strip pretty much any time. I definitely recommend this place.
Got one of the newly remodeled units and the kitchen was totally infested with ants. The water in the shower was also super cold. The maintenance guy they sent didnt take care of the issue but he tried. We know how old and dated Westgate rooms can be so we did what we had to to enjoy our stay. We got ant traps and totally eradicated the colony while there (youre welcome) and used pots of boiling water to make our baths tolerable. We stayed for a week and enjoyed the city. The room?... MehUpdate: The resort ended up giving us a voucher for another stay. Unfortunately we werent able to book it before it expired.
So the rooms are beautiful. Id literally love to take all of the furniture and decor and put it in my own apartment (which is smaller than this suite was). I loved the indoor hot tub (not just a jetted tub, a full-on 4-person hot tub) especially since the outdoor public one was not open. The pool area was closed indefinitely. (As of 3/5/22 or so). This is a timeshare resort so it has a fully-stocked kitchen. However, they dont have ice cream scoops, tongs, whisks, cutting board, or scissors. Elsewhere it was also missing a dust pan (which they brought on request) and REFUSED to supply us with some all-purpose cleaner because you could be allergic. So I had bacon grease all over the counters and stovetop that someone else had to clean, that wouldve been much simpler if theyd just let me help them! Housekeepers already do enough. Also not only did they not have those utensils stocked, they also would not provide them to us, stating that they just dont have them. So to flip a bratwurst I had to use a potato peeler and a cheese grater! (Because they had THOSE in stock.) They also only had place-settings for 2 in a suite that sleeps 4. There were only 2 of us but just the premise matters, especially in a timeshare resort where owners pay good money to stay and have these things. They also only automatically provide 2 sets of towels and 2 packs of dish and laundry detergent for a 6-night stay. Our hot tub jets also broke on the last night but since it was past 11pm they have NO maintenance or housekeepers (or even runners) until I think 6am. They also have a weird policy where they dont allow any guests after 9pm on any days, which didnt affect us at all but seems ridiculous. Though I will say the security seemed to be pretty good and they actually checked for credentials/parking pass. Its kind of in the hood but I never felt insecure. The bed and pillows were GREAT and I loved having ceiling fans and lighting! The toiletries were also high-quality and the shower AND tub were both amazing. The tub also has a spray-down attached which was very helpful for bubble baths. PLENTIFUL storage and closets were nice. They had a lot of hangers as well. For amenities from dawn to dusk they had basketball and mini golf available which was nice. It was also nice having a full-sized washer/dryer and being able to park at your room.Overall Id stay again but I would expect some of the understocking to be fixed as well as the understaffing.
While I had no issue here, I have mixed feelings. The resort was nice. The pool was comfortable. The jacuzzi tub was relaxing, the full kitchen was handy. It just felt off because of the design. The turn down service was subpar and not once did they change or make the bed during the 5 night stay. Overall it was a positive experience, I felt safe with the gated resort. Parking was never an issue. Everyone was very friendly and nice.
People at the check-in and the gate are nice and we’re very kind, the pool was also really warm and when we asked for ice or blankets we got them within minutes. There’s also a small playstructure by the pool which was pretty cool. The only thing id say is that the photos don’t look like the actual rooms but the rooms were really clean, there was a television in the main room and in the bedroom. Showers are big and super nice. Really liked staying here and was much better than alot of the hotels in LV
If getting away is what you you need then this is the place for you. Rooms spacious and gorgeous staff helpful and friendly. We have a two year and we bring a family to help us so that we can have some adult time. This resort had a little bit of everything for everyone. Miniature golf, kids place area, pool and life size chess and checkers. Washer and dryer inside room; nice jacuzzi tub and plenty of space in the living room for entertainment
The company gave my resume to a certain Walter, he called me, left me a message in Spanish so that I could call him back saying that he found my resume very interesting and that he was interested in granting me an interview for elnturbo in the morning and I thought, great, fairthe opportunity Im looking for.5 minutes later when I call him back and speak to him in Spanish out of pure courtesy, because it was in Spanish that he left me the message, he tells me in a tone of contempt that he didnt know who I was, why I was calling him, what position, what The management had given him my resume but he didnt even knowso that.forin order toin order thatWhat matters most to me, he told me, is how well your English is.I responded that I can communicate perfectly in English and that I am currently attending one of the best schools in Las Vegas to improve, that I was interested in working for your company, that I know the job and I am a person who likes to learn and I practically He hung up saying: AhWell, Ill pass your resume on to someone else so they can give you an interview.Needless to say, no one ever called me.It seems discriminatory, unprofessional and disrespectful that you leave me a message in Spanish and then when out of pure courtesy I speak to them in Spanish, they disconsider me for the job precisely because of this without asking me a single question in English, if that is what I require, about my experience andskills and even more so totally lie to me and almost hang up on me.I do maintenance on my own, with an application and all my clients speak in English, I have always been able to communicate with them and achieve 5 stars of satisfaction in my services, this company discriminated against me because my native language is Spanish, I lacked the respect lying andleaving me waiting for an interview that never came.
This place was was pretty nice. Quiet neighbors, super friendly staff, very nice grounds. The only issue I had was with the peeling veneer on all of the cabinets, Overall it made the entire place feel just a little cheap. Also the water heater tank could not have been very big, as we couldnt fill the hot tub in our room up all the way. There is a warning not to use the washer or dishwasher at the same time, but that was not the case. So I was a little disappointed and not being able to take a full hot tub. Also the shower pressure could be better, taking a shower was a little frustrating. But overall the place was great, the staff was friendly and super accommodating, and the grounds were beautiful. I would recommend for a getaway.
The room service was not completed. There were dirty dishes left. The pool is nice but you arent supposed to bring drinks or food. Marketplace nice and well stocked with many supplies. The mail room closes on weekends. The grounds are kept nice and but a lot of construction at the time we were there on sidewalks or something.
One. It’s a timeshare. We all know what timeshares are and do. You can say no at anytime. That being said…I loved my visit here!!! The landscaping was beautiful. They have a Starbucks on campus. The pool was plain but very accessible. Great picture moments. It was myself, my daughter and one of my Granddaughters. We had a two bedroom in a remodeled flat. It was cold. It was beautiful. The staff!?!?? They were wondrous!!! Their smile never fell flat or rung untrue. They were genuine and caring. The gates….oh baby those security people don’t play…you better have proof you belong to get thru. Lol. I had a great time and if I did not stay on the East Coast I would go every 6 months. Lol
We came to this resort to enjoy our family time. I must say our stay was awesome! The room was nice and clean. The staff were very welcoming and friendly at all times! There were construction workers working, but we did not hear a thing! I will definitely be visiting this hotel again! I have zero complaints!
Excellent accommodations and helpful marketplace with groceries. Very comfortable bed; fully equipped Kitchen; washer and dryer. Nice extras like fireplace and huge, clean hot tub. Great security and parking. Only difficulty was they consider our emotional support dog as a pet. Nice walking and games areas.
I wish I could give a better rating, but after a night stay, we realized we are not as happy with the resort. No free Wi-Fi (although our reservation had it listed as part of the amenities), absolutely horrible rotten-egg-like smell of the tap water, and a bit pushy stuff (when checking us in, the concierge went with us to show the room, and didn’t bother to ask if we are comfortable with them entering and having their shoes on), the kitchen was poorly equipped (if you offer kitchens, the least that can be offered is basic small salts/pepper/oil to cook). Additionally, the free shuttle to the Strip was scheduled every 2h with the return schedule ending at 10pm (a bit early for Vegas)In all fairness, the resort has well designed cottages and kept clean standards, and I would still recommend it as a feasible option while visiting LV
The staff was fantastic. I was treated like royalty. I arrived later in the evening, and I was greeted by Name, as if they were waiting for me. The suite was amazing, the bed was elegant, the Jacuzzi was remarkable. And the shower was unsurpassed. I love the atmosphere, I was able to focus and enjoy. The Westgate flamingo resort, is definitely a destination.
The customer service is abysmal. Beware! They state the prices are not guaranteed. This means per minute - I called back in fifteen minutes and the price had tripled. Their representative was so rude it was insane, no one should be spoken to in the manner they spoke to me.
The location is great if you want to stay outside of the crazy of the strip. Perfect for families - easy access to everything, but not in the middle of it. The rooms are nice, but older, as with the amenities. Nice 55 TVs though, at least in the two bedroom deluxe units. Beds are comfortable, which is a big plus. Lots of access to groceries and other shopping so you dont have to eat out all the time.
Nice place to stay. We had a two bedroom unit with a kitchen. It was great to stay off the strip and be able to cook rather than paying way too much for meals. Slept 6 people. The kids really enjoyed the pool. My only recommendations would be to have a cookie sheet in the units. Customer service was great as was the shuttle service. Really nice drivers!
Great place to stay with the family. Although the internet was down in my building at the time of my stay however relived it worked fine by the pool. Having 2 children running hotspot off of ours phones was a bit much. Had I knew it worked on the other side of the building I would have asked them to change our rooms. Pool was clean and staff were diligent when it came to encoring rules no glassware rules.
The rooms are amazing, the pool/spa is amazing, the property is gated and secured with a guard! Yes these things matter and they were all amazing, but the thing that made them 5 stars was the above and beyond service!!! Alex had to deal with me being upset after we had driven forever and reservations elsewhere were screwed over. He helped figure things out so we could stay there. Christopher was also a big help when we needed to switch to a bigger room the next day. Great customer service guys! Keep up the good work!! We will be back for sure!!!
The only reason Id even give this hotel a one star is because the staff (not the management) but the workers who actually work. For starters the rooms are not what they seem like from the pictures, the rooms are very small and the housekeeping did not keep up on the rooms. We had a jetted tub in the room but the faucet was broken, no broom in the room and only had 4 towels for 3 adult guest. When we booked through hotels.com we made sure the pool was open, when we arrived for spring break the pool was closed for remolding . Nothing was ever noted on our reservation, they said we could still use the casino pool which was 25 minute drive. Come Saturday morning I called down to the front desk asked them if the pool at the casino was opened they confirmed it was. Well we drive down there to discover the pool was actually closed!!!!! I tried to get ahold of management at the hotel and never received a call back. Their restaurant was closed, when that as well said it was opened. Couldnt pay me to stay here again!!!!
We havent stayed here yet but we purchased a timeshare condo here and toured the resort. The condos are very nice. The landscaping and amenities are nice too but nothing super special. The resort is located 15 -20 minutes from downtown Las Vegas and it is gated so its a safe, quiet resort. The setting feels more like a retirement community than a resort though but, again, we havent actually stayed here and it was the first week in January when we did the tour so maybe there is a different feel to it during peak season. Looking forward to staying here in the future to attend some Raiders games and feeling thankful that we invested in this now before they move here.
Nice resort, mostly. My units tile floors were very dirty. Turned my feet black after walking around after a shower! The unit dishwasher worked but was very old and creaky. Previous tenant clogged the coffee maker by opening a sealed coffee/filter package and dumped the contents in to the maker. I cleaned it up by running 6 pots of Clean water.Employees are very friendly. But be aware of heavy pressure to attend a sales meeting with the promise of free tickets to shows when you first check in. Being an owner already, I strongly dislike it.
Pros: clean, spacious, great location -- perfect for families. We reserved a 2-bedroom suite which was just enough for our family of 7. The Jacuzzi was a lot of fun (although only enough hot water for 1 bath only), and the full size kitchen was perfect.Cons: not on the strip, but thats quite alright for a family.
This is located a bit of the strip, with easy enough access, but not walking distance. They do have a shuttle available. I stayed in the 1 bedroom apt. It sleeps 4 with a king bed and a pull out couch. Tile floors and 1 bathroom. The sink is separate from the toilet and shower. There is a separate huge jacuzzi tub located in the bedroom that we didn’t use. It was clean and simple. All amenities you’re accustomed to at home. I recommend for longer stays you bring your own hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, body soap. It did have some of those things, but in small, cheap quantities. They have several amenities and things to do. You can rent board games, play ping pong, small gym and there’s a pool. I would stay again and recommend. This is a residential community; most people went home on Monday, but the people above me were constantly moving around at night and standing outside my window smoking cigarettes. I could slightly smell them through the window. It’s an older community.
We were there as part of a time-share. The good: On the outside, staff kept the grounds swept and cleaned daily. The pool was nice, our room had washer and dryer. Plentiful parking, and many nice amenities. The not-so-good included a broken lamp in the bedroom, dirty floors that turned bare feet brown, paper thin ceiling so that we heard every step of the people above us, and no curtains in a bedroom window. They also charge an outrageous $10/day for WiFi. Who does that these days? We called about several of our concerns on the weekend with no solutions offered. Our message was not forwarded to the main manager. On Monday we called again and got immediate results. Overall, would we return? We might.
We have had a wonderful experience at Flamingo Bay! Our Villa is just right-clean, fully furnished, comfortable. The staff is amazing-always smiling and greeting guests, asking if we need anything. We’ve been particularly impressed with how ‘present’ everyone is-housekeeping is busy, maintenance is maintaining, security making rounds. We’ve sought assistance several times from concierge desk and they go above and beyond-recommendations provided for saving dining and transportation $’s have been spot on. They have a great shuttle service for the strip and offer special runs for groceries, and for the Fremont experience. We love that it is off the strip, but close enough to go there and back in a reasonable amount of time. Please read between the lines on reviews that complain about location, not getting frequent housekeeping service, etc. IMO these individuals did not do their research well or read the information provided by the resort...we have found everything to be just as promised and more!
Absolutely beautiful friendly accommodating staff. Quiet stay. Wouldnt recommend for singles looking for night life as shuttle to the strip is only every 90 minutes 10 am to 9 pm. But uber is about $10-17 US. Enjoyed the hot tub. What youve read about the property needing upgrades is true. The sofa bed was not fit for anyone but didnt complain as i spent limited time in my room.
Overall I liked staying here. When we got there you have to check in with the security guard to even get on the property. He was really rude and had a hard time finding us. Then the lady at the front desk was really rude. We were very patient and polite and eventually she softened up. The units are beautiful though. I think we may have just had an off experience and would consider trying it again based on how nice the apartments are.
When you turn the hot tub in the villa and are in the shower at the other restroom, the water gets cold. Also they need to upgrade the sofa bed it looks super old like the ones people put outside when they dont want them. The bed was super comfortable, the place was very clean, and we also enjoyed the mini golf course along the resort.
Do NOT book on their website. I booked directly with westgate. The hotel lost my reservation despite having a confirmation email. The hotel wouldnt honor my reservation and told me to rebook with Expedia because their staff couldnt even tell if they had open rooms available - turns out they did, but at a higher rate and they wouldnt honor or credit the difference from my original reservation rate. If you stay here, be sure to book through a 3rd party and not the hotel itself.
Front desk experience with Christopher and L’Oréal was not warm. No smiles, how was your flight or how are you doing. The condo was not clean. The floors need to be steamed clean. There was so much dust behind the dresser and under the bed. There was used tissue and a disposable razor under the bed as well. The base of the shower had hair and gunks of built up dirt in the cracks. Around the sink and baseboards were filthy.. where do our maintenance fees go. They clean up once a week...other than change the sheets and put out new towels I didn’t see anything else done. The worst thing that happened to me was my watch was stolen from the unit. I guess it was my fault for not locking it in the safe, but no one was supposed to enter my unit that day and I left it on the table. This place needs a complete face lift. The appliances are dated as well as the furniture and decor. The ceiling in front of the front door is falling apart. If I didn’t own already I would never pay to stay here. There are some good staff here, but the two that serviced me upon check-in needs some customer service training. They make you feel unwanted and of no importance. Perhaps their service is better used behind the scenes and not directly with customers.I’ve owned since 2004 and this is the worst shape this place has ever been in. When I leave my home I expect the place I’m staying to be on my level or a step above. This place is many levels below. I’m very disappointed with my stay.
We are westgate owners and have stayed in multiple westgate properties. This is by far the lowest quality of any westgate property we have stayed at.The room is old and not clean. The staff doesn’t follow through. We ask to have our room cleaned today after being here for 2 days and they said as of today they are not cleaning rooms due to covid. When we returned to our room they had left a bag of towels sitting outside our door. Not even inside our room! Super frustrating we pay over $2000 a year in fees to own at westgate. We are still her and very unhappy.I would not recommend. It’s old and not updated. The AC is so loud you can’t sleep. We are on the main floor by the pool and you hear noise early and late. Unhappy ☹️
Let me start by saying I am an owner and have been almost 18 years. This is the worst experience ever. The property looks nice on the website but the customer service makes it cosmetically unattractive. My first full day I reported the tub was not cleaned and it was not stock with broom and pots. Day 2 the dishwasher was smoking. Day three was ok but day 4 a bedbug was sited. I went through concierge that called front desk. Marjorie from front desk said you can’t be moved unless it is confirmed by engineering. The engineer came in confirmed and the next call was Francisco. Francisco was unaware of how ownership worked. I requested to be given a room at the other location and he said well let me see how many points you have.Sir this is not a point system we pay for weeks and bedrooms (units). He went to his office and took several hours to come back. Luis and to talk with an owner (co-owner) that was not on property. I got so frustrated with the process that I just stopped talking. I said if you can’t get my name right how are you going to help me. He said Francisco doesn’t know your name. I said he has my name and cellular number. Needless to say Luis did not assist us. Then Esau came he is housekeeping manager. I told him the situation and asked if we could use the laundry room to clean our clothes to ensure we are not transporting a bedbug from one space to the next. He tried to find us a room. He found a vacancy next to the room with the bedbug and I declined. He found another in the back of property I declined because my guest has limited mobility. Finally more than 4 hours later Esau finds a Roman and said that the resort will compensate for dinner. They also offered to pay for the Uber. Today Francisco stated that they were only authorized to pay for return ride for food Sir how were we supposed to get there? As of 439 this evening we have not been given compensation for food and to wait for Luis to return to property on 1/14/22. I said I was being patient and polite not to inform others of the problem and head of security Khalia stated it’s our word against theirs. I have photo and video. Don’t waste your time or money
We are not timeshare owners or whatever. We just rented the room for a week. I hate eating out for every meal. This has a full kitchen. I brought my own frying pan and small pot though. Most extended stay hotels have low quality pans and pots which seem to burn immediately. We loved this place! It was like a perfect apartment we even rented a room with washer and dryer. This was extremely helpful since I have two small kids who are constantly getting their clothes messy. Also, there is a cute mini golf which my kids loved!
Great location. Very nice accommodations. Maybe nit-picking thing: the cords for the flat screens were all hanging beneath the TV screens. Very messy look. The Jacuzzi tub had a poor, odd shower curtain.Other than those few nit-picky things, the rooms (two bedroom suite) were great. Will definitely stay here again.Staff was very helpful and friendly.
My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at the Westgate. The room was huge with a giant jacuzzi and was very clean as well. It was quiet for the most part which we loved because it was relaxing. The front desk staff was super nice upon arrival as well. Definitely recommend this hotel.
Arrived on wensday night room was wonderful bottom floor. Then Thursday night they put guest above us that were very disrespectful. Sounded like they had 20 people in the room. Constant moving of furniture ,dishwashers going nonstop. Jacuzzi running non stop.I was so fistrated I complaint to front desk but the noise continue and got worse. It was so badAt 1am I was done. I called front desk to let them know after several complaints we were checking out this started at 7pm the employee at front desk Marylin was absolutely fantastic. Please give her a raise. My patience was done ,she just started her shift but looked past me blowing up on her acknowled my frustration. She immediatelyapologized and moved us in another unit . She was at our door in less then 20 minute with new keys to another room. She also upgraded is to a newly remodeled room for our inconvenience and truly showed care and compassion for us guest and wanted to make our experience special and wow she did its was the best customer service Ive ever seen and Im in the business Im a essentail worker just trying to get away for a minute and enjoy quit time with my husband and she truly turned a frustrating situation into a great experience Ive been in retail mgt over 24yr and Im telling you your have a amazing employee that worked on thursday night shift 9/17/20 1am 9/18 at front desk Marylin I will not forget her she was amazing please acknowledge this employee
Loved our 1 bedroom loft! Super clean and fully loaded with many amenities. Bed was comfy. Charming fireplace was delightful. Carpets are a little dated but clean. Great security service, complex is gated and guarded. Front desk was welcoming and offer lots of information. I will definitely be back, thats for sure!!
Quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Rooms are okay, but cramped. It feels like they tried to cram too many amenities into one apartment and ended up over packing the place. Parking is abundant. Pool is nice and not too cold. But its somewhat shallow.
EVERYONE DOES NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING THAT IS OFFERED IN THE TALK, THEY WILL ONLY LOSE THEIR MONEY, AND THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT.
Very friendly community. I like having a full kitchen to accommodate family meals. The only thing I had a problem with was the cleanliness of the rooms. Its as if there was not a deep clean done, like under the beds and behind furniture in at least a year. I dont mind dated decor and appliances when the accommodations are clean. I was rather put off by the build up off dust and dirt around the air filter, under the beds and behind the furniture.
The property was clean and 95% of the staff was extremely accommodating. The units are modern and had a fireplace. The shuttle drivers went the extra mile to make sure we reached our destination. I enjoyed my stay at the property.
We are not time share owners. Easy check in and check out. Great prices/deals for a beautiful stay compared to what youd get on the strip. Everything is included; mini golf course, life size chest board, crafts/activities, gym, and free shuttle to Fremont street and Las Vegas Blvd. Security is good! You have two locked gates for entry way before you even get to your front door. A home away from home! We look forward to coming back!
We had the two bedroom unit which was very convenient for the three of us. Parking and security was great and access to the strip was easy. The king bed was way, way too soft and the kitchen cabinetry needs repair. Oh, and they accept dogs.
It seems like you are at home. Weve been to this resort many times. The pool and hot tub area are nice and the rooms are very nice. The WiFi and TVs has constant problems this whole past week. Staff is hit and miss on friendliness. I wish the shuttle had more stops along the strip, currently it takes you to the Westgate and the Treasure Island.
Very nice facilities. Rooms have great amenities and are very comfortable. Could be a little cleaner and some things need to be fixed, but other than that I would recommend this place to anyone. Has beautiful grounds with a pool, hot tub, mini golf course, and play ground for kids. Not to far away from the strip and very easy to navigate to and from there.
I like the apartment style set up. The staff is very friendly. The mattress was absolutely horrible. My back is still aching. They tried to accommodate me but said that was a typical mattress. They offered to give me a new room but who wants to move once settled in? Maybe I should have but I had a very busy schedule. I was there for work.
Ive been staying at the Westgate Flamingo since 2007. I typically stay there twice a year. The last two times I came with another guest so I wasnt registered under my own personal name. Theyve been charging in my friend the prices that they would charge me for the better rooms. I have no complaints with regard to customer service. My major complaint is about the Stampede of elephants that were staying above my bedroom. When I did complain they told me there was nothing they could do because it was already 9 a.m. in the morning. Its clear that the patrons that have been staying there are are not respectful of other guests. I also noticed there is a lot of trash everywhere water bottles miscellaneous garbage all around the parking lot. I was so sad to see that this once maintained facility is no longer attractive due to the lack of cleanliness and maintenance. I think they need to make it clear that there are other guests at the hotel and that if you are a guest that you need to be respectful of other people at the facility. If I were the manager of this hotel I would have kicked the people above me out. There should be some sort of rule about having more than 75 people in a second-story building.
The gated resort is off the main strip and seems relatively quiet. Place seems a little dated, but the rooms were adequate for the stay. Having a full kitchen was, so we didnt have to eat out for every meal during the stay. There are many activities available for the kids at the resort. A shuttle runs through the day which can take you to the strip.
Suited our needs perfectly. Very nice staff. Comfortable bed. Upstairs condo had a leak in their dishwasher that leaked down to our unit. Maintenance came immediately and took care of everything.
Really enjoyed our holiday here. It is located off the strip so is peaceful but theres a shuttle bus service that runs frequently to get you to where the action is and back to the accommodation. Our concierge Bobby G was very helpful too. The pool is lovely too.
The rooms are apartments. They only give you one complementary pack of coffee and there are so many Mirrors in the master bedroom. Bed was uncomfortable and the tv in the master bedroom didnt work. Shuttles to the strip are not constant but leave every so many hours. They do have a small basketball court, miniature golf, and a ping pong table. Landscape is nice and the pool looks nice too.
Not too far from the strip, but you still need to drive. The room we got was very nice; it had a kitchen, dining / TV room, master bedroom with a jacuzzi tub, and a decent sized bathroom. The place is gated, so it feels safe.
I called over a week in advance before my arrival date when I noticed that the dates where not right. We were going for a soccer tournament and somehow they had me arriving a day earlier then the rest of the team. I called to cancel that night and arrive with the rest of the group.First - I couldnt get a hold of the right person till I was my 6th try. Each person I talked to wasnt allowed to make any decisions or do anything. Then they proceeded to tell me I was stuck paying for that night - $400 - and there was nothing to be done for it. Super bad customer service along the way. Needless to say, not pleased. I am writing this review to warn those booking. The stay may be fine, but if you have any issues they will not be helpful.
I stayed from 10/6 - 10/15 (9 days). The unit was not clean during that time at all. I had to take out my own trash. Had to asked for clean sheets and towels and hey were left outside the unit front door in a plastic bag ad it was raining. No mop in the unit to mop the floors bathroom, kitchen, etc. Asked at the front desk and I was told they would have to put in a work order. Needless to say the floors DID NOT get mop. I will not be staying at Westgate Flaming Bay Resort in Las Vegas.
I stayed here in 2015, and loved the place. The rooms and the living areas were top notch. I think its funny how two different families can stay in the same resort and have two different experiences. I think the negative reviews are people that just cant find anything to be happy about in life anyway. This place is one of my top choices to stay when I go to Vegas. Im planning a trip this summer and will stay here again.
My wife and I just spent 7 days at this resort. We read most of the reviews so we checked things very closely when we got there. We found this a fantastic place to vacation. It was spotlessly clean. The pool area, the rooms, the grounds. We found everything very very clean. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful in every way possible. There was no airport shuttle but it was only a $30. ride. We very much enjoyed not being on the strip and the shuttles would get us there in minutes. There were restaurants with in walking distance and they would shuttle you to Walmart for your groceries. The only unfavorable item was the very hard core sales department who would not take no for an answer about up grading our package. We had to get up and walk away. This was our first Westgate vacation and we are looking forward to our next one. Thank you for a great vacation and a job well done.
Quaint, off the strip, and quiet place to stay. Nice rooms and amenities. Shuttle to strip area and other Westgate property/casino. Could use some updating. We had an issue with a water leak in our room and had to move, when moving the new room was subpar, we did, however, have prompt and courteous service to correct the concerns. Just a bit of a hassle
Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. I booked a stay here for $300 in exchange to do a 90min timeshare presentation. I was told I would receive a $100 to spend on food and VIP access to amenities. Well 90min was really 4 hours of wasted time. $100 is pretty much a coupon of gift certificate spend $15 get $5 off and only in certain restaurants. Never got the VIP access. Didnt have any invite slip to presentation or info. Then got told owners can rent places out and pretty much tell lies and scam you. Very unorganized. Will definitely never return and tell people to stay away.
We asked for a bellhop to take our luggage down on checkout and they never showed. Microwaves have to be requested and they didnt have any. High pressure sales people at the elevators are very annoying. Beds were hard. My boss paid or I would really be disappointed . There are much nicer stays in Vegas than the Westgate
Just know that due to Covid they won’t check bags!!! Also, We’ve stayed at 5 Westgate properties this is clearly the bottom of the stock. Pool was so small!! The bigger issue was it wasn’t cleaned well! Flight changed asked for a later checkout… nope and they can’t hold your bags either. 10 am check out!!!The room was great once you got inside outside looks lack luster. Horseshoe pit with no sand. If the standard for Westgate was not so high this would acceptable… but it’s definitely not even close to level of most Westgate properties. Definitely book the strip or somewhere else… for your Vegas trip!!!
The room smelled like pot...there was no water pressure to take a shower. 2 evenings the pool filled up with carloads of kids coming from the back of the rooms don’t think they were even guest staying there, hauling in food and coolers must’ve been 60 or more people none of the guest or owners could actually go swimming. There were roaches by our door and the court yard. None of the TVs would work properly. Other guest would just throw the trash outside our room for us to walk around and kids just throwing their trash everywhere. We are guest not owners but would not recommend this place
Arrived to a guest discussing overpayment issues. After about 10min, front desk attendant points in the direction of a bench and asks if I could sit outside because theres another guests ahead of me. That was ok.As far as the room, somebodys not doing there job. Claiming to sanitize but not even cleaning? Popcorn-looking substance and hair on the floor, dead small insects on the counter. Could that have possibly mysteriously come between check-out and check-in? Called front desk and they offered another room of course.Pool does get cleaned.
I stayed here because it was one of the stay and play hotels for my daughters soccer tournament. They screwed up my reservation, I had to show them conformation emails. Then they charged me twice, had to get that fixed through my bank since the resort wouldnt. Room service was good but front desk was horrible. Rooms were old, for the amount charged. Stay someplace nicer if youre going to pay their price.
I was told when booking I’d have a washer and dryer but did not. They said I could upgrade and pay more. The rooms are outdated and very small. The sleeper sofa is not fit for sleeping but they did bring us an extra mattress to add to it. Made better sleeping but we couldn’t fold our couch during the day. Even with all of this I would have rated it a bit higher except it was filthy!!! After being there for less than an hour my kids feet were nasty. 😳 They offered to mop but it was the carpet. I got an extra sheet and placed it down over the carpet. Would t come back if they paid us.
This place was very nice to spend a few days in Vegas off the beaten path. The had a very nice clean swimming pool and a courtesy shuttle to take you right to the strip or the Fremont area of Vegas. It was great not having to drive or pay taxi fares and yet enjoy a few drinks on the strip or playing your favorite games of chance,. The room was clean and spacious. There was a full kitchen and laundry. Quite a bargain in our views.
Went there last week for 3 days. I was actually very impressed with this hotel. At first I thought since it is an older one it is not going to be that great. Once I got to the front desk I was greeted by a very friendly Front Desk Clerk who registred us within minutes and gave us our room keys and some couons. When I got to my room I was shocked. The room looked brand new like it had just been done. Great setup very stylish, 2 large screen TVs, large comfortable king size bed with good mattress, plenty of towels, condiments, etc. The next day we went out for a few hours as soon as we came back our room was done. The only thing I didnt like was the price of the coffee. I ordered 2 coffees from room service only once and it was $40.00. That was a lesson learned for me lol I would definitely go back though. Very good hotel, good service, super clean
We are giving you an opportunity to at least meet our expectations! - Let us sign over the timeshare and get out is all we have asked! You should be refunding our money too for this scam, but just let us out! Thats a pretty simple compromise I would think considering what your sales people did. What does your company say to that??
Me and my family recently stayed here this summer for our family vacation, and I have to say we where pleasantly surprised. The rooms where clean and well kept, and the jacuzzi in the bedroom was a plus. In saying this though, the highlight of our visit has to be gloria who went above and beyond to meet our each and every need. All in all I would return to this hotel again. THANK YOU GLORIA!
Quiet and family friendly location, closes to shops, restaurants, etc., quick and easy check-in/out process, friendly front office staff, our apartment looked like a Caesar Palace; everything inside looked and felt fancy. I wish they provide free breakfast and shuttle to the airport.
We had to connecting rooms, which were beautiful. I found that housekeeping does not double check what they have done in each room. I think $4 for a bottle of water is way to much, we went and bought our own case. It took 45 minutes for our bags to be brought to our rooms. I requested a crib for my grand-daughter and we were informed by housekeeping that there werent anymore. I definitely found that questionable. The rates were fair, but I dont really know if I would go again.
Rooms are pretty nice, however a few things werent working. Our room took a while to cool down and both hair dryers in our suite did not work. Overall the location is nice, not too far from the strip.
Old and tired. Definitely needs an update but the bed was really comfortable and it was clean. The staff were pleasant even though you have to endure the marketing rep trying to get you to go to a timeshare presentation when you check in the experience was pleasant.
My wife and I were given this stay as an anniversary gift from my father and step-mom. My wife and I went for a 2nd Honeymoon and to celebrate our 29th anniversary. Tammera, Lei and Mari were awesome and made sure all of our request were met quickly. From bringing us linens to a concern addressing the room temp, everything was done with urgency and the greatest of care. They made us feel that our experience was as important as the reason we chose to come to Las Vegas to celebrate.
From day one- we been hunt by the time share people. They came with us to the room after 4 hours drive and annoying us everyday on the phone, came to our door, wake us in the morning. It was crazy!!!I left 3 msg to the hotel manager... it was 48 hours ago, he still didnt call me back!!!The ladies in the front desk really nice and try to understand the situation. But, no call back from the manager!!!We came to relax and run away from all the chaos, but, didnt get any quiet here!!! This is not ok.
I stayed there while I was in vegas getting married. I booked 2 rooms. One for me and my family, and one for a friend coming with. When i booked the room, i was told the deposit for each room would be $50. When i showed up to check in, I was told that the deposit was now $200 for each room. I was frustrated, but i figured id get it back anyways so it wasnt a big deal. i paid it, i enjoyed my stay, and when i went to check out, i was told that the deposit was released back into my account and that it could take 3-10 days. Im well out of that time period and have not received a dime of my deposit back. Ive called the property multiple times, and they just basically keep telling me to wait or they transfer me to an automated system that hangs up on me. I have a 6 month old baby I need to care for and $400 is a huge loss for me. Westgate Flamingo Bay has not done anything to help me resolve this issue.
We loved it we stayed there for a week, our room was clean and everything was good despite some of the negative reviews on here. We had a problem with one of the showers was clogged up but as soon as we called to the office within minutes they had someone on it. Anytime we needed anything the staff made sure everything was ok,like some of the reviews the only thing I would say I would love to see the next time I go back is to have shuttles for the owners to and from the airport. This isnt a complaint just a suggestion from a very satisfied owner. Oh yeah and our representative Tracy Haynes is the bomb he made us feel like family,he gave us his personal number for any concerns or questions we had and he was available anytime we needed him and even though we have left there weeks ago we keep in touch hes a great asset to Westgate. Need more like him, keep up the good work brother.
This was not a good experience for us. I will get straight to the point. We never received housekeeping I had to do the cleaning everyday with includes making Beds and taking out the garbage. I had to call the front desk for clean towels everyday and waiting a few hours to get them. A lot of miscommunication the left totally does not know what the right hand is doing. Everybody has a different story so very. Confusing. I was looking into buying a 2 bedroom villa but at this point I have totally changed my mind.
The suites need updating and the maintenance staff must have the budget to do so. We asked three times to have the bedroom closet mirror reset in its track but it was still falling out when we left after a week. This condition is a hazard. The water is set far too hot and can burn skin. There are rat traps outside the front window. Charming. The first night was characterized by the incessant pounding of children’s feet in the suite above us. Very poor sound insulation. The appliances are old and poorly maintained. The pool area is pleasant but please don’t pipe in music that appeals to 20 somethings when most of the guests are retired and/or have their own personal music systems. Quiet is part of the vacation and is welcome after a day on the Strip. The most annoying aspect is the HARD SELL to buy or upgrade one of their time-shares at interest rates of 19%, irrespective of one’s credit rating. If Westgate Flamingo is what one can expect for buying a 12 week annual use time-share, I pity the preyed upon buyers. Their sales tactics border on the fraudulent. I do respect the many service and maintenance employees who their very best to keep WFBR operating.
We do an annual Christmas Staycation and this year we stayed at this hotel. Yes, some reviews mention outdated, but for us it was charming and spacious and we even made Christmas Wreaths in the kitchen. We had a beautiful view of the pool and access to the jacuzzi was easy peasy, it was our only request. I didn’t get pics of the property at night, but the lights and fountains were beautiful!
Oh my goodness. Where do I start!?3rd time staying here. Always dirty! Floors are gross. We are the type to take our shoes off as soon as we walk in. Our feet are black within seconds. Many of the corners are caked with dirt that looks like it never gets cleaned. Mold are always in all showers. Coffee makers are ancient! We have spent so much money with Westgate. Infact we were lied to right from the start. The lady that sold us our property, told us she could help us make money off buying with this resort. She showed us list of how much we could rent our property for and promised us the property at Hilton. She said she would even rent it for us. One week would pay off our mortgage and we would have some left over too. Im not kidding about this. She was their number one in sales. Unfortunately we couldnt prove it and no one would help us get our money back. Stuck with it we use it when we can.The walls are not only dirty and need to be painted, they are thin.Toilet is loud too. This unit is cramped also. They last stayed we had to move in the middle of the night because the air conditioning went out. Next unit still dirty. Dryer quit working.Staff have been friendly, honestly is the only good thing here.Sooooo disappointed again and again. Also weSo, if your in the market let me know...
Room looked nice but carpet was filthy, hair and dirt in all the corners and worst of all stool splatter inside the toilet. You have to pay wifi that is free every where plus it didnt work in our room.Only stayed because it was our anniversary and booked months ago and holiday week and Vegas was booked solid.
This is a great place to stay, love the condos. It is a desert so I would not recommend walking around bare foot even in the rooms, and running hot water for a few minutes before taking a shower. We have seen scorpions in the rooms two years in a row, so be careful. Other than that I would highly recommend staying here.
Not at the heart of the action but the strip and freemont are just a 10 min shuttle ride away. If you have kids with you then this is a great place for them. The villas are spacious and well appointed but do have some wear and tear also the rooms could do with a very thorough cleaning but there is plans in the works to remodel. Staff is very freindly and will answer any questions you may have.
This resort brought unnecessary complications to my vacation. We were in vegas for 10days and we had to change rooms multiple times. 2members of my party were bitten inside the villa. We tried to contact management multiple times and were told they weren’t on premises each time. Finally on the day before our last stay we got in contact with management after having to call corporate. We were told there were NO notes on all of our complaints. The best part of our trip was the time we spent at the strip. We left with rashes, bites, and a refund for one day out of 10. #Worststayever
Happy with the accommodations. Employees very friendly. Rooms very well equipped, clean. Theres everything in your own room, from coffee maker to washer and dryer, ironing board, iron. Slept good.
Clean rooms, friendly service, very warm pool (middle of July heat!) perfect fit for my family of six. Free shuttle to Fremont St and Treasure Island was nice too. Activities for the kids and BBQ facilities rounded out the experience.
Clean, nice, but a little dated. Jacuzzi in room was a bit older so didnt use it. When something is that yellow older color kind worries you what the internals look like which is sad thats why I got the unit. If theres a next time Ill bring some bleach and try it out. Rooms are very roomy, staff was nice and courteous. Keys to the room kept dying, and was only issued one at the start so I got home food in hand and couldnt get it so o had to drive back to the gate then back to the room, annoying after a long day. Other then that unit had a huge water heater, which I could tell because its right kn the closet lol. Upstairs neighbor was smoking weed and it would stink up my room every day, I hope I didnt get charged a smoking fee. I like the design and only stay at resorts like this anymore if I can but prefer an independent air system for my room because of stuff like this.
We loved the room that has been assigned to us and it was perfect for the family with Kids. It has all the necessary thing that you can ask for.On our Second day of trip when we were about to leave for the fun, my wife noticed a scorpion on my 3 years old son jeans which he was about to wear. We were shocked and got scared at same time as we had two small kids with us and they were playing all over the place in the room. We immediately took this matter to the property manager and their response was unacceptable. They said it is normal as we live in dessert. We have to shuffle all our luggage, cloths, kids toys to just make sure we dont have any other unwanted guests in our luggage. Later we have requested to change the room and they asked us to pack everything and moved us in different room and you know that it is not an easy thing to do if you have kids with you and you are on vacation. This entire thing sucked up our day two and ruined our vacation as kids are now scared and doesnt want to go for any other vacation.
The Westgate Flamingo Bay Resort is one of the best kept secrets in fabulous Las Vegas. It is far enough away from the strip to avoid all the traffic and noise, but only a few minutes away from it if thats what you want. The facility is beautifully landscaped and well maintained. There is covered parking, bbq grills, miniature golf, large heated pool with hot tub, a giant chess board, and a laundromat all conveniently located on site. There is also an activities center and a small convenience store near the office. The condos are very well equipped and maintained, and are quiet and comfortable. A full kitchen allows you to save a lot of money on meals, and there is a Smiths grocery store just down the street. Each condo has a washer and dryer, ironing board and iron to allow you to do laundry just like at home. This is a great place for families who want to enjoy the resort, and also see the wild sights of Las Vegas while enjoying some savings on expenses. I highly recommend the Flamingo Bay Resort!
From the pictures on the website the facility appears on be high end. As you walked into the room the place smelled musty, the floors still had food and dried flower petals on them. The walls and doors are filthy. The kitchen was old, the cabinet doors were different colors and dirty, the dishwasher was hanging out. The trim in the kitchen was wet and moldy. I was so disappointed. I added pictures. Place needs a deep cleaning desperately.
One of the best Resorts Ive visited. Stayed here me and my wife for my Birthday for seven days. It was like home away from home. The room was very clean, with all the amenities and a nice size Jacuzzi as a bonus. The staff were very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend The Flamingo Bay Resort ( Westgate) anytime you visit The Fabulous Las Vegas.
Its like staying at a luxury condo, a bit off the strip which is a shame. But I understand you cant have a condo in the strip without paying with your right testicle. The lobby had some spectacular peanut butter cookies, out of this bloody world! And whilst youll probably either have to take a shuttle or just generally ditch the resort and move to a room in the strip if you dont want to get bugged down by paying for the shuttle, theres plenty of shuttles constantly in an out, last one I remember was at 1:00 a.m. You can always stay overnight in the strip, its not like theres a thing as staying too late there. Its generally lovely and Im happy Father bought that silly timeshare, mainly for this resort.Plus theres some lovely mini golf sets generously sprinkled around.
Very nice & clean. We stayed in the villa. It has One King, One Queen & a pull out double sofa. They had a nice big jacuzzi tub in the King room, but the shower connected was very low pressure. You couldnt adjust the shower head up & down to your size to make it better either. The storage space was very minimal. So pack light or place your big suitcase in the kitchen/living room area like we did so you can move around. The beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows, however the pillows were just way too soft for my liking. I woke up with a crook in my neck the first night. The 2nd night i doubled up my firm pillow with one of WGs fluffy pillows and it worked out fine. We had a full kitchen equipped with stove, sink, dishwasher, refrigerator & microwave. The Queens bedroom didnt even have the small closet at all & the dresser had 2 small drawers. However they did have a washer & dryer which made everything EXTREMELY convenient for having a newborn that spits up on Everything! So it was nice to stay clean. They provide you with 1 detergent powder packet.. but we went to Target and just got a small travel size pack of tide pods. They were Perfect! Then we also had updated flat screen TVs in every room. No one had to fight over a tv. There was a dvd player in the livingroom where our daughter enjoyed her movies. Nice granite counter tops. Beautiful condos. Quiet & security at the gated property. 7-10mins away from the strip & dining not far away. Blueberry Hill restaurant was very affordable & super yummy for breakfast, lunch & dinner plus desserts if you want. Overall nice place to be at.
The rooms were dirty. The floors were dirty, shower had mold, food stuck to chairs and on back of couch. The only reason I gave a 2 star review is because the manager was very understanding when we left and gave us a partial refund. This was our second stay and the first one was great, hoping this time around was just bad luck.
First I just want to say Beverly at the front desk was very sweet and helpful. We arrived at around 3am and had a 2bdrm 2 bath suite. I wasn’t expecting it to be the way it was which is basically an apartment complex they turned into a “resort”. We had an upstairs unit which looked okay at first but walked past the couch and the extension cord was exposed instead of properly hidden to adhere to safety protocols with children around. As I walked into the master bedroom there was remnants around the bed indicating they didn’t vacuum. The tub had pubic hairs in the corner and fresh soap scum that came of with just a towel. The mirrors in the bathroom had a lot of residue. Both showers were dirty with hair. The sinks both had hair in them and the tissue boxes were dusty. The paper towel holder was dirty with buildup. The pullout bed from the sofa was very dirty with crumbs and hair when we unfolded it and it was just a complete mess. There were no other rooms to move us to and since I prepaid $340 for two nights due to the promotion of attending a presentation the next day. There was “nothing” that could be done to comp for the inconvenience but a food credit of $200 (family of 7). Which was almost impossible to use because we couldn’t get reservations on such short notice (Saturday) and we were leaving Sunday. I had no choice but to go to the presentation and it lasted 3 hours not 2 and we went about our day to let them clean our room. When we returned to our room the same pubic hairs were still on the tub, the mirror was still dirty and the extension cord still out. You would think that these people would’ve done their job the second time around but nope. We travel a lot and if there has ever been any issues that occurred during our stay, properties have done their part to make things better by not just fixing the problem but doing their best to earn our business to come back. Not Westgate. If there was a way to leave and go somewhere else I would’ve but to avoide paying another $300 for a filth hole we attended their presentation and continued our stay since all other properties were booked due to being St Patrick’s Day weekend. Save yourself and do not book here.
Stayed here with friends. Their kitchen sink backed up twice from the room above. Suites are roomy but dated. Mold and mildew on ceiling above shower. Rate cleanliness as 4 of 5. Shuttle to stip and freemont street is convenient.
Please note this resort is not part of the Westgate Hotel itself. Its off-strip and a pleasant surprise. The rooms are clean, the staff is really nice. We set the AC to 68 the entire weekend and it didnt dissappoint, espically since the temps reached 110 degrees.
This resort gets 5 stars for their friendly, efficient and fast service! We stayed in a one bedroom, very out dated and in need of complete renovation. The layout of the bathroom, kitchen and tub leave much to be desired. A little more elbow greese in the shower tiles and fixing the antic shower fixture that screams metal on metal, the toilet that roars so loudly you dare not flush at night, the tub that juts out into the bedroom that you are guarantee to run into on the way in and out of bed will leave scraps and bruises. Ill leave it there, maybe others have been renovated, not this unit, so if you are buying ask to see the older units. Their selling point has got to be their people. They where friendly, helpful, efficient, concerned, caring, protective, genuine people. This resort cam only go up with a staff like this.
This hotel was perfect ! We got married this past weekend and they set us up perfectly. All of our guests in the same section... rooms are HUGE and have every amenity you could ask for. Grounds are beautiful ...putt putt golf.. pool... and a $7 uber ride to the strip
A very cozy place to stay and feel at home,Very nicely maintained villas where you have your own kitchen, washer/dryer, hot tub etc...Beautiful grounds with water fountains and a outdoor pool and much more.It is located 2 miles off the the Vegas strip and has a free shuttle back and forth to the strip every 90 minutes, also has free shuttle to downtown,
Save your money. This place is a motel. Run down and dirty. The outside looks great and the pictures you see of the outside are true, but once inside its another story. The only thing clean were our sheets. We were so disappointed in this so called resort. The pool is super crowded. All in all well be not staying again.
By far one of my worst stays. The jacuzzi is in the bedroom, so there is no privacy. Also, you pay all these resort fees when you can’t connect to internet. Never mind calling tech support because they will just end your call and not fix the problem. The previous guests also called in this complaint. I travel excessively for work and internet is a necessity for most people. Very unacceptable
Breathtaking views all around and from our room. Just didnt feel like venturing out of the resort. The staff is extremely polite and friendly. Got great service at all the restaurants.Would surely love to go there again:)
Las Vegas the service is good. Our chauffeur is extremely awsome. When we first checked in the guy up front was very rude and didnt seem like our needs were important at the time. Our dishes in our room were dirty. When we walked in the very first time our place smelt like weed. We thought it was somthing else it was over powering. When we returned the condo still smelt like Marijuana. Batteries were missing from the remote controls so we had to buy batteries for the controllers. Overall this place is ok. Not all that satisfied.
I was disappointed with the location. It is to far from the strip to walk too. The rooms are typical Westgate, clean and comfortable. Shuttle has a limited access to strip. Car rental is a must to get around. Staff is typical Westgate. They are very helpful and friendly. Resort itself is limited. Certainly not like our home resort in Kissimmee. Directions and suggestions were perfect. Overall, we enjoyed out stay but disappointed we couldnt access the strip easier.
We stayed there last weekend. First of all the have terrible customer service. The lobby staff treat you like cattle coming in. They are not friendly at all. Second when we walked in the apartment it all seemed fine at first sight but when you pay attencion at the details everything is super dirty. Our feet were black from just walking in the carpet. The molding from the master was super swollen from all the water from jacuzzi. Housekeeping never showed up during the whole weekend they just left a couple of towels in the living room and thats all. And good luck throwing ur trash away. There are no visible trash bins outside. And becareful if your a smoker. We smoked in the parking lot outside because we wanted to avoid the charge but they didnt even care about our argument. I spoke to the suppose supervisor and all i got was an attitude problem, we didnt even smoke inside the actual unit and got charged $150. 00 for leaving the unit smelling like smoke and for a supposed deep cleaning. When we checked in its didnt seem like there was a deep cleaning done!. This place is full of surprises, not worth the price for crummy customer service and a dirty establishment. My two kids got sick shortly after arrival with fevers. Maybe it was the mold in the walls???or dirty carpets??? And not to mention the small pool. I think only like 15 peolpe fit in there. Their pictures they post make the resort look awesome but you will be dissapointed when reality checks in. Very dissapointed. Will definitely never return. Simply horrible stay!!!!!! Horrible experience!!!!!
There was ants all over the bed room. On the floor, the wall in the bed. There was also bed bugs in one of the rooms. I asked for a new room and was told I couldnt change rooms until oked by maintenance. The toilet seats are loose and the towel holders are loose and falls off. This was not a good stay.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESORT AT ALL COSTS!!!! Terrible experience all around.I booked my stay through Westgates website on May 10 for Memorial Day weekend (May 28-May 31). On May 11, I received an email from Westgate Flamingo Bay telling me to share my stay on social media and how they were excited to see me. On May 27, I got a certificate to redeem a complimentary welcome gift when I check in, valid from May 28-May 31 (the dates that I booked).Yesterday, May 28, I pull up to the resort with my friends and absolutely no one can find my reservation. I explain the situation and show the emails that clearly indicate that I have a reservation, but the front desk team does nothing to help me. I spend a couple hours on the phone with Westgate corporate who also do nothing to help me. Thankfully they had rooms available for that night so I ended up being able to book that one night, but we were planning on staying the entire weekend. Saturday was fully booked, so we couldnt secure a room for that day.The most frustrating part was when we were communicating with Ariel, the manager at the resort. My friends were speaking on the phone with him for about a half an hour as they drove to Vegas, and he couldnt get his information straight. He first tried to tell us that I had booked my reservation through Booking.com (not true). Then he said that he spoke to the front desk agent, who told him that I told her that I forgot to book Saturday. Also not true - I did not tell anyone that, ever. When my friends arrived at the resort, we all spoke to Ariel in person, who was extremely frustrating and unhelpful. He talked in circles and kept repeating the same sentence over and over again: I cannot help you if you dont have a confirmation number. Which was clearly the root of the problem the entire time -- I had booked the reservation, I had received emails about my stay, but never received a confirmation number. Clearly an error in their system -- but he was treating us like we were at fault, and he was not willing to accommodate us at all. He antagonized us by claiming we were not meeting him in the middle, which makes absolutely no sense. We were showing him all the emails that I had received and all correspondence relating to the stay, as well as my internet history which also clearly showed that I had viewed a confirmation page on Westgates website on May 10. HE was the one not meeting US in the middle by refusing to hear us out.So here I am back home -- we were forced to cut the long weekend extremely short and leave since there was no availability on Saturday and they would not accommodate us. Every person that we spoke to, at the resort and at the corporate office, was extremely unfriendly, arrogant, and rude. They do NOT care about customers and will straight up lie to your face to get you to leave. Please save your money, your time, and your energy and find somewhere else!!!
Its great place to say if you dont want to stay on the strip since it may be expensive. Great rooms. Showers are nicely size. You pay what you get. Front desk is pretty helpful.
I love coming to this place, I travel on business once a week. This is my go to spot.Mia is amazing, I usually see her at the desk at checkin. She is absolutely a treasure! Super friendly and always happy to help. The staff here is all amazing!
If you dont want to be on the strip, this is a fantastic hotel. This is a gated with gaurd shack hotel with more apartment style rooms. I was back a ways off the road so it was nice and quiet. Close to the grocery store and several good restaurants close by. I would really recommend this place to longer stay families who want to visit the strip but not be on it.
Very beautiful. Calm peaceful. And safe. The only thing that sucked was the shower head in the juzzi tub didnt work and theres not enough shuttle to and from the strip. But other than that its a great place to stay and i would stay there again.
I booked a room 13 months in advance for the F1 race. They canceled my reservation a month later claiming that they overbooked. Im sure thats a lie. Im just waiting for them to suddenly have availability again at a much higher price.
This place is more like an old motel. With a fancy gate and guard. The dishwasher is rusty and broke. The washing machine only washes in hot water and the timer is broke. It is very dusty and dont plan on sleeping in, because the floors and walls are thin and you can hear everything outside and above you. Dont bother for the price.
Beautiful, So much like home. King size beds, washers and dryer. Stove large Roman Tub, 60in TVs in the living room and bedrooms. So bright and clean.... Cant wait for my next stay.😁
Room was dirty... Glass on the floor along with someone elses trash and an overflown trashcan... Plus the air filter is so dirty is hardly any air flow. When I called to complain they didnt offer a new room they just said someone would come clean it and Im still waiting... That was well over an hour ago
Where do i start?! We made reservations way in advance and the room wasnt ready. The ladies at the front desk are ghetto and rude, like it was our fault for getting there on time. We had to take a different room upstairs despite telling them our 90 year old grandfather has a really hard time with stairs. In the morning when we woke up at 5:30, we went to make coffee and there was soap inside the coffee maker. Im not talking a little, it was like they poured soap in there and didnt bother cleaning it out. Tried to clean it ourselves but the soap was in every crevice and the water pressure was so low that ot wouldve taken till checkout time (10 am) to get it all out, Overall they just didnt care and maybe if they had 2 ppl cleaning rooms as a team instead of 1 per room theyd get their rooms cleaned and ready for their guests. So if youre looking for a place with good customer service go elsewhere. Oh i forgot to mention, theyre supposed to have someone at the pool bar to assist you with life jackets and drinks and no one was there. We even called the front desk to ask them how we get a life jacket and she told us the person at the bar would help. Told her there was no one there and she said someone would come shortly. No one ever showed so we ended up going back to our room and letting our two littles (both under 4) play in the tub.
Resort is great. You need battery leaf blowers. The gas ones are obnoxious and stink.
Disappointed this visit from a year ago. Most of the desk staff were unfriendly and phone calls were unanswered. The unit was an older one. Some repairs needed and the ones that were done were poorly. The floors and other areas could have been cleaner. That said, the security and housekeeping staff were very nice. I wish I felt like there was someone to share my complaints and concerns with. Felt it would have fallen on deaf ears saying anything there.
Quiet, comfortable, nice accommodations. Pretty landscaping. Friendly staff. Convenient to a lot of restaurants and shopping. Very easy access to the strip. But its nice to get away from the crowds. Concierge knowledgeable. Free shuttle to the strip.
Pros: Quiet, gated, great customer service, serves the purpose of a decent place to stay in VegasCons: NO FREE WIFI (we paid $40 for the week) & needs better cleaning/upkeep (grimy shower heads/tile).Overall, this was a good place to stay.
Love this place...we go here for staycations all the time. Jacuzzi in the room easily fits two people. Bring your food and cook her/him a nice dinner...they have all the amenities to cook and eat, just bring food. Take a walk on the grounds and enjoy the well manicured landscape. Need something? Just text them what you need. No smoking in the rooms. Guard gated community so they will call you for any guest attempting to get past the front gate
Stayed for two nights. The rooms were very clean. Housekeepers were very nice to us. I loved the pool and fitness center. Its very close to the strip (about 2 miles away).
My room had no hot water. I couldnt use the in room jacuzzi. I wasnt offered clean sheets and towels and I couldnt wash them myself cause The washer and dryer didnt work. But the people was nice
Suites are clean and updated. Bathroom doors stuck a little, and shower door had a gap but these are minor things. The grounds are clean and gated which is nice to have. Room facing the main road was not disruptive.
Come for the bed bugs, stay for the dirty pillowcases! We stayed here for 3 nights and experienced the following:- bites from bed bugs- pillowcases that smell like sweat and had mascara marks on them- our room was “serviced” AKA someone came into our room while we were out and turned on the TV, left it turned on and then left without cleaning anything.- Our beds weren’t made, we had to request new towels.Save your money, stay somewhere else!
The first night fine. Day 2 they informed us the dog we brought with us to this pet friendly resort (that their staff interacted/played with Day 1) violated breed restrictions. We were given 6 hours to check out. While Nevada has banned breed restrictions, this company continues the practice.
So I made a reservation for check in Thursday out sun and unfortunately my dr didn’t clear me to sit for a 6hr drive but cleared me to do a 45 min flight. I call wed to see if I could just modify to come in on Friday instead since that’s when I could get a flight after speaking with the very rude supervisor Joel he refused to even let me explain that I had a drs note he just kept repeating that that was policy. Wouldn’t even hear me out. Worst customer service. I’ve stayed there before but this is definitely our last stay. I do our group booking for my sons basketball team and we will not be returning there again.
My most recent visit at Westgate Flamingo Bay was marred by ants in the bedroom and jacuzzi area. Had to fight ants at 2:00 am and had sleepless night. We have stayed at this Westgate Resort numerous times over a 20 year period with success. Other than the ants, stay was good. Maintenance did come later in the a.m. to spray the bedroom/jacuzzi area.
Nice and spacious, could jus use some updating...which they say is in the making. Friendly staff...Great tasting cookies at check in! Overall good experience. April 13 - 20th 2019 was my 8 day 7 night stay....
I booked a one bedroom for a week. Called prior to arriving because we knew wed arrive late (1:00a.m.) due to a late flight. Representatives said it would not be a problem. Arrived to find out my room was given away due to over booking by westgate. We were sent to another hotel to check in until the room is available the next day. This was unacceptable, and not the first time this has happened. I am a westgate owner and very disappointed with their service.
First time staying there, the refrigerator was making a horrible noise every 5 minutes, it seems to be old and wasnt working properly. We also had to request one more card key because sometimes it worked and sometimes not.We went to the office asking for the manager to let them know about the horrible noise of the fridge but the manager was off due to the holiday, we asked to the person at the front desk to send anyone from maintenance to check it out and they never did. Actually, if the manager is not going to be in, should be great to have someone in charge just in case, we bring this issue up to the lady at the front desk at midnight when we couldnt sleep due to the noise of the fridge, early in the morning we asked the person at the front desk if it was any note that we requested maintenance to check it out and the person didnt know, when we checked out we asked again for the manager or someone in charge and it was another person at the front desk that didnt even know about the 2 complaints before about the same issue. The facility is very well located but Im not interested to come back, we were told that Management will return the call the next which is today and I havent received any call in regards to this matter.
Pretty nice, the amenities are kinda of old. It was nice to have a secluded space to relax after a day on the strip. There isnt alot of people who can stay here so its never really crowded. Would come back here again without a doubt.
