Tao Spa Massage

Unfortunately, my husband and I had an awful experience at Tao Massage today and would not return.First, they have MOVED. They havent updated their address on Google but when we arrived today to the locked door, I called and the woman told me over the phone that they had moved to the building next to Waffle House on Sunset.I booked a couples massage weeks in advance to celebrate my wedding anniversary on a date night. When we arrived to the locked door, we knocked for a minute and then called to let them know that we were there. The woman that answered told me that they had moved and gave me the new address which was a 9-minute drive. Fortunately, we were a bit early so it didnt put us too far behind.We drove to the new location. When we arrived, I told the woman that I had booked a couples massage for today and she had us take off our shoes and took us to the back. Instead of a couples massage, she was separating us into different rooms. I informed her that I had booked a couples massage but she told me that they didnt have any couples rooms available and that they were all in use.I booked a couples massage because we wanted to do this as a massage together for our anniversary. We didnt want separate massages in separate rooms. The woman told us that we could try again later but I had scheduled a babysitter and made reservations at a restaurant around this appointment. Its unfortunate that they cant keep their commitments and we would not return.

The massage itself was ok. My appointment was scheduled for 12:30 and she didn’t start until 12:56. The massage only last 20 minutes when I booked for a 30 minute session. Then she proceeded to ask me as I was leaving for a tip. When I mentioned her not giving me a full 30 minutes, she rolled her eyes at me. I will not be returning.

Highly recommended! Great service in a cozy atmosphere, they make sure youre comfortable throughout your massage. If you dont like what theyre doing, tell them. It is a little different from other places Ive been, but she made me feel better.Only suggestions, bring cash to avoid extra fees and pay attention to time, I paid for a 20 minute shoulder massage, she gave me a 10/12 minute massage..and yeah, they definitely expect a big tip.Since I know what to expect, Ill pay attention. I dont have an issue letting someone know how I feel when Im paying for service, so if she says shes done and my watch says otherwise, Ill definitely let her know. Im going today for a 60 min couples massage, Ill update my review if need be. Hopefully I will not have any issues and will be a repeat customer.

My husband gave me a gift certificate for a massage 1 yr ago and I just used it today. So I am thankful they allowed me to use it considering, but I was not expecting the massage I got. I am in so much pain and hurt so bad. I figured they would have explained what they would do considering this was my first time and I told them that. I already have back problems and a hurt shoulder, do for them to walk on people like they do, they should ask or explain first. Its my fault I didnt tell them to stop, but my body hurts so bad and I was so tense that at no time did I enjoy any part of this massage. The entire time I was there, the phone was ringing, they were carrying on a conversation on the phone with someone or with the person there, I felt very uncomfortable almost like i was being recorded because everytime she moved, she would move her phone with her. I didnt asked to be beat on or walked on.....I wanted to be relaxed and enjoy it. Then to ask for a tip is absolutely absurd. This is your job. Dont ask for a tip. You definitely didnt do me a service because now I have to go to my chiropractor to get me back right. I will never go back there again. Worse experience ever.

Place creeped me out. And the massage hurt. She didn’t listen when I said too much and then they bug you for a tip. I don’t know if it was just the masseuse I had but probably won’t go back

This is a great Chinese or Thai style massage. My wife and I both go inside in knots and walk out transformed and relaxed. Keep in mind this style of massage - they use hands, arms, knees and feet to work on you! They DO keep you covered and are professional. You will also be stretching and finding how your body Should be able to move and bend, this is part of the style of massage. Just talk to them and keep talking with them as to the amount of pressure or if it is too much. They will listen. You are going to feel much better just breathe and go with it! The next day you WILL feel sore in a good way, keep stretching and you will move like you haven’t moved in a while because the Thai massage has made you limber again.

It was a great experience, and i’m glad to find a place i want to visit regularly. The ambience is relaxing. Ena was very considerate and good at what she does. She found problem areas and zoned in. I will be back.

The reason why I gave a 3 is because we are giving you our business and you should be grateful. STOP pressuring customers for a tip… money hungry. Be grateful that you have people giving you business. 2. We come to relax and not hear you talk in your language the hold time. Annoying!!! Keep in mind that some people bilingual and can speak your language fluently. Play relaxing music and be quieted unless you are talking to your customers. At first I thought my son was just rubbing my back at first.🤔 Then the gentleman tried to put more pressure and it was just ok. Stop cheating customers out the time they pay for. An should be just that and nothing less. Hope you take this work serious and not just for the money and stop acting like you don’t understand English or speak it. 🚨

This is my favorite massage therapy place in all of South Carolina. 🧑‍🎨 The masseuses are very professional and work hard to provide a quality experience.

They offer military discount,They ‘re professional,I had 2 hours massage couple times, They’re wonderful experience in Tao Spa and Massage for me. Very good service and perfect provisional technology let me feeling comfortable and healthy. The massage specially good for body pain and tired. Looking forward to next time! I ‘ll constantly come back,highly recommend.

My wife and I went for a couples massage today and the experience wasn’t great at all. My wife’s girl did a pretty good job but my girl was terrible she was extremely aggressive to the point it was painful. I kept saying to much. There was not one moment that I was like wow this is nice or gave me the tingly chills. She didn’t use barley any oil so it felt like she was ripping out my leg hairs. You would think there would be nice relaxing music but there wasn’t any at all so it was awkward. Also the room was very bright. I will say they hit every part of your body. Was not happy with our experience at all.

Went for a couples massage. Unusual techniques. Very deep tissue as the lady walked up and down my body. Almost seemed to make it up as they went. Wife said hers was pretty painful. Not bad, but not great and like others have said they ask you for a tip when its over and will let you know if its not enough.

This was the best massage I’ve gotten in a long time. Will definitely be my go to place when I need a massage. I think the lady who gave me the massage was Annie she was amazing.

Worst massage EVER!. I paid for an hour and she barely gave me a half hour. Most of the massage she did one handed. I felt worse when I left. Never going back. All she was interested in was the amount of her tip.

I had been reading the reviews for this place and decided to give it a try based on what I read. I am so glad I did. I have been having back stiffness for the past week, and the therapist onsite, I believe Annie was her name was able to hit the right spots and I felt so much better when I was done. This is a very professional establishment and I will definitely return.

Could only hear the noise of traffic passing by. No therapeutic music. We asked for a hot stone full body massage and didn’t receive it. This was one of the worst massages ever and for the price, ridiculous. Also had the audacity to ask for a tip! I didn’t get what I asked for . If you want to hear highway traffic in dark room this is it. Never will return!!!!

Very welcoming experience. Scheduled the same day that I inquired and after a brief consult of my back issue, After deep tissue some spot treatment，my posture felt better and I felt super relaxed - certainly looking forward to a next visit!
