Visited Homage Brewing on a Thursday night.Ambience:I decided to head down over in order to get a feel for the type of environment Homage brewery presents and to try out the smashed burger. Since I’m seeking out different places to invite friends for nights out. As mentioned by other reviewers, yes this brewery is directed towards a hipster crowd. Homage Brewings interior is minimalistic and upon entering, the interior was lit with red lights complimented with a DJ bumping music. The employees were friendly and attentive, furthermore, food service was excellent. The cool thing about this place is that the exterior seating area serves as a place where one can hang out and relax, while downing a couple drinks. The interior (for weekends) serves as a platform to vibe with the music provided by the DJ.Food & Beverages:I was honestly surprised when I glanced over the beer menu, no flight option present. As a brewery, a flight option should be available, since it helps customers explore different products. I opted out, as I was driving ( and saving my appetite for when I return) but my partner had some wines which she enjoyed.I decided to order their smashed burger, which came with two Pattie’s, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, everything sauce, and potato buns. The burger was good, as it was fresh, a good sized portion, and flavorful. There’s a review out there complaining about the Crispy farm potatoes fish scent, let me explain that the fish scent comes from the Mullet borttaga, a type of roe. Therefore, that review is not credible. The crispy potatoes were crunchy, well seasoned, and soft in the interior. A small dip of the horseradish sauce will be suffice. The food was good and hoping to try out other menu items in the future, in addition to their beers.
Overall experience is 2 star, I really don’t understand the disconnect with all these 5 star reviews. My potato’s smelled like fish, the Wi-Fi doesn’t work, the service was mediocre, and the beer selection is minimal compared to nearby breweries. The atmosphere makes up for a lot of the negatives for this place. It is a vibrant place with a Dj, a majority of the patrons are friendly and easygoing so you’ll have a good time. But it’s not a place I would be excited to go back to again. I visited both breweries on the block and I do prefer one over the other. This decision was based on service, drink, and food selection.
This is easily one of our top 3 breweries in LA! Its never over crowded unless theres a special tasting, yet the vibe is always on point. They also pour some of the best craft beer in LA, but also have wine and food. The food is some of the best brewery food weve ever had. I wouldnt even consider it bar food, yet its still snackable.
Best brewery in LA. Elevated food menu, great sound system, best bartenders
Came here for a friends birthday. Lost my wallet but had photo of both passport and ID. I’m 37 and they refused to serve me. Fair enough but then they told the entire birthday table they couldn’t serve them anymore because I was sitting at the table. Manager seems to have personal issues or something. Had a bad attitude and seemed to have personal issues with me. Literally half the table didn’t get carded when being served by the other servers. It’s honestly a joke. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
I love this place...the beer is incredible and even if you dont drink. Their food is so delicious. The energy of the staff and patrons is absolutely uplifting. I always leave this place happier than when I came in.
Great small brewery in the Chinatown area! Love the shaded outdoor space, easy street parking, snacks and vibe (relaxing, and our toddler loved the indoor disco ball). Beer was tasty!!! One comment is that the staff is always a bit stuffy and not super friendly.
We walked down from Highland Park Brewery and have to say that the folks here were WAY nicer. They were willing to pour my wife a tiny taster of a beer to ensure she liked it before ordering a full pour. The ambiance was better and more chill. Didnt feel rushed when ordering our beers. Plus they had enough varied seating that we could get to a quieter corner away from music if we wanted. Allover win!
Great burger, good selection despite the short menu, good beer too. Interiors were nice too and they had great service.
Delicious saison spritz! A little fruity, a little sweet, a little sour, and so good. Order at the counter. Inside, outside, and upstairs seating areas. Dogs welcome. $8-$10 a glass of beer, and they have cans to go. I need to go back again.
We ordered 16oz beers and 1/3 of the glasses was foam, we asked the woman to fill the glass to the top so we would get the actual 16 oz that we’re paying for instead of what looked like 12oz, she was very unpleasant and said “thats the way we pour here” and refused to fill the glass, well then use a bigger glass! and didn’t even have their own west coast IPA on tap. Never going back
This place is trash. Looks like it could be great, but the vibes are awful, the staff is rude, & more than 2/3 of the menu is crossed out/not currently available.
Beautiful space and excellent food! This is not to mention the drink selection. I usually enjoy whatever saison / spritz they have on tap. When DJs play it can get pretty packed.
Simply excellent, the food (had the V fociaccia sandwich simply the best V meal available in the world), the choice of beers and most of all the incredible music. A MUST go go. Forgot, cool and friendly staff!
Not your typical beer tasting room. Nice decor. Great music, but no half pours or tasters, which stinks Also Worlds worst parking on weekends.
Attended during a pop up event and every employee looked miserable. Also, plastic wrapped 3-piece utensils w/ salt and pepper and a ridiculous napkin? We’re trying to save the planet folks. Really great food and decent beer.
Fantastic and helpful staff! The beer is also phenomenal. Definitely visiting here again next time Im in LA
Easily the best beer I’ve had in LA, and the food is on par with many of LA’s best restaurants. Friendly staff and great vibe as well.
Opening Day: June 19th, 2021One of the best, if not the best business to open in Chinatown in 2021. Hip, fun, & modern, this brewery is sure to impress all who visit. Known world-wide for their barrel-aged wild ale program, Homage goes above and beyond by brewing spectacular classic styles and IPAs as well. My personal go-to is a crisp lager 👌🏼.The brewery taproom will also feature a selection of natural wines (a passion of the owners) and will regularly showcase DJs spinning from their personally curated vinyl collections.
Lunch hours didnt match what was on site but got a dark lager and hazy that were very good. Music was a but loud but overall atmosphere was fun
They just can’t get the right amount of taste and food. Beer isn’t well established. HP brewery is up the street so save yourself the trip.
Super chillAwesome Rice LagerLiked the loft areaThey have kitchen small menu a bit high endNo outside food allowed
This is just a wonderful spot. Good vibes and even better brews. The DJ and dancing sets a whole bother vibe. Cant wait to come back!
Great food, great drinks, lots of space, and friendly staff! I recommend the tempura oyster mushrooms!
Good beer, bad service
Great hidden gem. This was our 189th brewery that me and my wife have visited

Cool vibes. Modern, simple, industrial interior design. Beers are unique and refreshing
Great choice of beers made by this brewery, and the scene is great :)
Cute, back street’s brewery full of life.
Great spot with creative beer menu near LA Historic Park
Very good hazy and laid back environment, and very helpful beertenders!

My go to brewery!
Wish it was more hype cuz the environment is really cool
Everything is delicious, the beer is great, but the special one is the Farm Potatoes, they are spectacular!! It is a good option to go before the Dodgers game, it is about a 20-minute walk from the stadium.
