Went to The Living Tombstones concert on August 9th, 2024. This was my first time to The Republik. The sound system was high quality and everything sounded very clear. Theres one massive fan above the floor where the shows are held, so it was relatively cool despite the sea of people in the audience.Despite many other reviews, security that night was very friendly and helpful with checking everyone in and ensuring things stayed calm in the crowd. I didnt purchase any food or drinks at the venue, so I cant speak of the quality/pricing.Parking is limited, so plan to arrive early to grab a close stall if you dont want to risk a ticket by parking elsewhere into the night. The show experience was great, but parking is not.
Came here for the Dashboard Confessional show. Venue is located on the second level of the building. Prior to attending I read how there were previous problems with security. That was not the case for our experience. The security team was amazing for this event. Sound was okay. There were some moments where clarity was an issue but really it wasn’t that bad. I will agree with some reviews that the place does get hot as the night goes on, but you’re at a packed concert venue, in Hawaii, where bodies are all crammed to see a show. What do you expect. All in all, we’ll attend shows at this venue again. Only big downfall is parking as it’s non-existent here, aside from the mall across the street. So rideshare might be your best bet to get here.
Enjoyed emo night. I had no issues, but ad with most clubs, be careful with your drinks and ensure you watch the bartender pour and keep it covered. There have been recent instances of drinks being drugged.
I didn’t get food here so I can’t speak to that. I will say the bartender was amazing and on his A-game. The atmosphere was chill and had a good vibe. There are plenty negative reviews about security here, but I have nothing but positive things to say. We were checked by security upon entering, but that was it. Both guys smiled and spoke. Def weren’t rude or anything else to us. We saw Morgan Wade and the crowd was awesome. It did get a little warm, but that seems to be a common sense thing—it’s an enclosed area with lots of people!
We went to the Republik to see BTSM during our trip to Hawaii. Headliner came on at midnight, not 10pm as another review had said.Theyd definitely painted the front and upscaled a little since the last set of pictures so I decided to write this review. This show was a quaint home away from home rave scene. I cant say how it is for other types of shows, but for an edm show the community here could throw down. There were glovers and ravers and Kandi, a handful of bros but not many. The security was thorough, and tbh I would feel safer if they had the same security at some of the bigger shows and venues Ive been to, so I give them mad props for that. The dudes at the door had a metal detector wand and everything. Security was actively looking out for people in trouble and did an amazing job.It was a SMALL venue, which gave it those cozy vibes. There was no sitting room, whatsoever, and the crowd was a little thin that night, so it didnt feel packed. I would definitely recommend buying your tickets early online and not paying day of for tickets though. The womens bathroom was clean and even had an attendant setup with body sprays and deodorants and things. Cant say if that there is every show, but it shows that they care.It was a lot of fun to visit the Republik, and I would go back in a heartbeat. 🥰❤️👍
The Concierge are amazing. The sound quality of his venue is second to none. A lot of good acts come through here. You need to check out their website often to see what’s coming through..
Got told this was the place to go on a Saturday night. However, I was not let in because of what I was wearing. Did my research before going and there was no mention of a dress code. $30 usd to purchase a collared shirt + pants and then a $20 usd entry fee. Obviously did not accept this and left. Terrible service, plus ridiculous to wear long pants when it is too hot to wear LONG PANTS.
First time going to Republik was for Svdden Death, can confidently say Ill never return to the venue. It could have been cool, but HI Bred Security ruined it. They wouldnt let us sit down, even outside in the smoking area. Everyone working looked like they did not want to be there except for the 12 guards outside doing nothing but talking story. My friend knocked over a trash can very conveniently placed right next to the rail at a hard bads show, and they started to tell him he needed to pick up the trash with his bare hands. They got him a broom and dustpan but we were not there to do their jobs. Very unprofessional, drinks were subpar. Overall awful experience.
((TLDR: SECURITY IS RUDE, INSULTING AND UNHELPFUL. INCONSIDERATE OF POTENTIAL DISABILITIES, UNSAFE!!))Went for a Cavetown concert on 2/17. Cavetown was great!! Security? Not so much. Security is really aggressive and incredibly rude! Ive never been to this place before so I was a little lost in the lines. I was rudely redirected several times. On the way out after the concert I was exiting but apparently exited the wrong door. The problem was, it wasnt the wrong door. I was apparently stupid for not opening the closed door and going out the open one instead. I have an anxiety disorder and I was really overwhelmed and security wouldnt stop cussing me despite me obviously being panicked. Security is on a whole power trip and borderline bullies. Never going back unless its a band I cant miss!! Horrible!Oh, and theres no air conditioning. If its packed you risk passing out.Read that another girl was put in danger by the security too.. the reviews on security are no joke. Plenty of others complained!
This venue is a sess pool of not good vibes. Ash hole security guards will literally take you personal items and throw them into the trash while entering. Wasteful and not a good practice for anyone to do at all.Been on the island for 3 days and caught a show there and 100% will not give them any more of my money.Poorly ran security team. Miss managed. Over priced water.GREEDY MONEY HUNGRY OWNERS WHO DONT ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT WHAT LIVE MUSIC IS AND PROVIDES FOR PEOPLE.
I cant speak for the food, because we thought there wasnt any according to Google, which was confusing (so three stars there), so we rushed to eat before the show, but the venue wasnt bad. I know there are a lot of bad reviews, however our experience with security was good. Guard had a good sense of humor when I asked of the pat down was free. 😜 bar tenders were friendly. Drinks were reasonably priced, too. Temperature wasnt bad! Theres an enormous fan above you going full blast the whole time! Bathrooms were clean. I dunno. Seems like a normal concert venue to me. No issues. Plenty of parking as far as I could tell, but we parked at ala Moana and the concert was over before 11:00pm and no ticket even thought wheres a dong that says no parking after 10:30pm. Good experience overall. 😁 Wish we hadnt missed some shows though. Should advertise better for sure.
Super sweet waitress Courtney. Drinks are extremely overpriced and filled to the top with ice. Not cool. Parking was extremely difficult as well but was expected.
This concert venue kicked out a member of my family’s party for eating a piece of ice from an empty mixed drink. The security could have listened to her explanation, but instead made her leave before the show started. This left this 20 year old girl waiting outside by herself as she insisted the others stay for the show. I would not recommend this venue as a safe place for anyone I know to enjoy a show.
Y’all security sucks. Someone was mad I was in the crowd (I’m literally just standing there waiting for the show to start) fellow crowd member started insulting me because she didn’t want me at the front next to her and lied to security that I threatened her. I had 5-6 guards on me in an instant and one even pulled out a taser despite me not having a single clue what threat I am being to deserve being tazed? I am a woman with no muscle mass and I’m being brute forced for nothing. Of course I yelled and flipped people off because they all started recording and so did security so that’s just weak. Terrible time. If you go to live shows often you’d know that it’s normal for people to push thru crowds. Didn’t even get to see what I paid for. The Republik is a SCAM. I deserve a refund.
Security was not at all bad, bartenders throw down and big fan to keep the place cool, good atmosphere
Hadnt read any of the previous reviews of this place prior to going but totally get the negative comments directed towards security staff after attending the Dean Lewis gig last week. Every other aspect of the venue was fine. Before even getting to the door were told off by security for walking up the car park ramp instead of using the stairs, despite there being no signage about not using the ramp. Then we get to the door and say hi to the bouncer who looks at me and just rudely says ID. Show him ID he then says arms up. He then frisks me and my wife. I have no problem with anyone doing their job but how about a smile and maybe at least pretend to be friendly. Then once youre in the venue expect a security staff member to walk past you every 3 minutes trying their best to look tough. Its a pity that the wanky security staff let this joint down because otherwise it seems like a reasonably cool place.
Went to this Venue for an Earl Swetshirt concert and the show was amazing!! Clean venue, great sound quality, but the security was wayyyyy over the top! You’ll be greeted with a search and pat down on the way in and the security is constantly making their way through the crowd during the show looking for anyone underage drinking, smoking, or even vaping. Security was way too much in my opinion but everything else was enjoyable 🤙🏽
Cool live music and events venue in the heart of Honolulu. Right at the Ala Moana Mall. Tricky to find as Google maps leads you to an alley but the venue is up a level. There is street parking and valet, or depending on show time parking at the mall is possible. Got to see Midland and Hanson on back to back nights. Both great shows and the audience were very active to see the bands play.
I only post to make a point that the policy for 329 card holders smoking outside this venue needs to be consistent at all shows. I’ve been outside with male patrons and no security approached us the entire night; recently I was outside with female patrons and security left us alone for the first 3 hours but then started to harass us when new security clocked in for the night. Had anyone said anything when we first lit up we would’ve known the venue’s rules. Meanwhile get plenty dudes outside smoking, some right next to the entrance and no words were being said to any of them. I understand security doing their jobs but be consistent, otherwise it comes off as harassment to a specific population.
Security is awful. Kicked out a friend for drinking water but did nothing about the guy vaping in front of us. Touched her without consent as well. They are not only useless, but also the type of people that let what little power they have go to their heads. They probably never got hugged as children. Band was good tho.
Security staff here is terrible! Worst Ive seen in out of any club Ive ever been to. Overall a fun place with nice bartenders but keep mind that they do not care about your safety one bit.
Drinks 5/5 : Drunk 2 drinks in. Love that for me.Bar Staff 5/5 : Super friendly and kind. Also spoke loud enough over the music which is highly appreciated being half deaf.Mens Bathroom 3/5 : Short stalls with no privacy.. and urinals with no dividers. Also.. open door? hm. interesting.Security Staff 0/5 : Rude and Unprofessional. Took my vape from me, escorted me out only to bring me back inside right after for.. why? Take my vape but dont waste my time.
Security guards have the absolute worst attitude Ive ever experienced in my life. Ive been to HUNDREDS of shows around the world and never been treated like such trash. Absolute disrespect for their customers. $4 for water. Everything is overpriced. They tried kicking out me and a friend for trying to replace a wristband that had fallen off INSIDE the venue even though we both had proof of ticket purchase. Had to argue our way back in after they PURPOSELY SEPARATED us in the process. They didnt handle anything in any respectful way whatsoever.
The venue is nice. It’s small and intimate making it great for live events. The advertisement is horrible!!! There are so many shows I have missed here because I haven’t heard anything until the day before, or worse, the day after. Please work on that! I would love to see more shows here. But I have to know about them first.
Very poorly kept club with incredibly rude staff on a power trip. We sat down on the curb and instead of walking over 20 feet and saying you cant sit there they shined flashlights in our eyes and yelled at us, and once they got our attention, continued to shine the very bright flashlight in my wifes and my eyes. The Security Guard proceeded to tell us stories about how they pepper sprayed a former customer to the ground and proceeded to spray them after they were already on the ground. The club is poorly kept and is on the 3rd floor of a parking garage.I do not recommend this club to anyone, go to the slightly more expensive and significantly better District below it.I came for a Borgeous rave and was just treated with hostility. Ive never heard of this club prior and will not be returning, regardless of the artist. The Republik is a rundown water grave of a bar hiding in the shadows of the successful Club downstairs.
With every club there’s good and bad. It has great location and it’s a good sized venue. But there is no air conditioning and I feel like tickets get oversold so it’s constantly packed tight like sardines. Because of how many people are in there and the lack of A/C, it makes for a boiling hot event. On the other hand there are 4 bars, one is a cash bar. I’m pretty sure it’s a full bar and they can make most any drink. 18-20 year olds get X’s on their hands; 21 and above get a wristband and stamp. I’ve had many different experiences with the bartenders. Some are literally fantastic, and some will ignore you for 15 minutes while you beg for water. You won’t really find live bands here, it’s 90% DJ music. Which I prefer. Some performers are really famous and others are mid. There is security, but I really only see them when the venue is full with a potential for moshing. I have seen multiple people be dragged out. I’ve even been second hand victim with my own drink spilled all over my front, soaking my hair and shirt. The bathrooms are small and the womens restroom always has a line. There is a bathroom attendant. There is a little bit of seating, not much though. It’s mostly in the VIP. Be wary since there is no parking and you’ll have to find your own; I have yet to get a ticket. But I like this place overall and I go for the major concerts.
If I could give this place a 0 i would. The security is absolutely atrocious, rude, and bullies. The security thinks they are cops and are ALWAYS on the lookout to make sure you don’t have a good time. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! They will take your personal belongings and break it to boost their egos! I have never met such rude people in my life. It’s almost like they get commission for being this rude!
Visiting and sat K?D on 3/2, Must have read the reviews, security was fine, dude actually said “how you doing?”, vibes solid would come back
Venue is nothing special nothing terrible but somehow they managed to employ the most miserable security possible. After over 15 shows at republik I no longer go to shows there because of how terrible the security and general management of the club is. Multiple shows were oversold and over capacity. There are no written rules of not allowing fans and yet if you bring one they will either boot you or throw away your hand fan. Serious changes need to take place and remind this business that we are paying customers looking to have a good night not enemies.
This is an expensive venue, which would be fine if it was quality. It’s bad value for both electronic events (adventure club) and acoustic. Came to see Kacey Musgraves and the mic feedback was neverending. I hope it goes out of business, but it won’t. Because there are no venues to see music in Hawaii. So do what Hawaiians do; lower your expectations and get blazing high before you go to the concert.
The Republik in Honolulu is a great venue for live music events. I had the chance to see Collie Buddz perform there, and it was an amazing experience. The drinks were priced at average Honolulu prices, so nothing out of the ordinary, but there was a good selection of beverages available. One thing that stood out to me about The Republik was the spacious open layout of the venue. It allowed for a comfortable and enjoyable concert experience without feeling overcrowded or cramped. The stage was well-positioned, and the sound quality was excellent. The bathrooms at The Republik were decent, not the most luxurious, but they served their purpose well. They were clean and well-maintained throughout the night, which is always a good thing.Overall, I would highly recommend The Republik as a great place to catch a live music event in Honolulu. Its a spacious, well-designed venue with good sound quality, decent drinks, and satisfactory bathroom facilities. If youre in the area and looking for a good night out, I would definitely recommend checking out The Republik.
The security here are awful and rude for no apparent reason. I avoid shows here at all costs unless its someone I cant live without seeing because of the security. Otherwise their soundsystem is pretty good. Nothing to write home about.
WOW. I’m completely shocked at how awful they treat paying customers here. For one, the venue is overpriced for what you get and they have a bunch of rules that are not posted on the event details or on the tickets. They wouldn’t let me in with my purse because they said it was a backpack. I’ve been able to bring my purse in Hawaiian Brians, Blue Note, Anna O Briens, Nextdoor, Blaisdell Center, Waikiki Shell, Manifest, Proof… all WAY BETTER VENUES. Anyway, they definitely don’t care about patron safety otherwise they wouldn’t be charging $4 for water in place with NO AIR CONDITIONING!
Fun place to go for concerts. Security at the front are very strict and will thoroughly search you. I had my gum of all things confiscated. Oh well. Parking is very tight as well (not that you should be driving).Seems like the headliners go on around 10:30/11pm so make sure you arrive by 10. The VIP area is all the way in the back of the club and you cant see the stage from there which was disappointing as I did not want to get jostled on the main floor area (unless thats your thing). I found a nice spot in the back to catch the action without anyone bumping into me.
Went to the Psychedelic Furs yesterday. First of all, very nice staff from the front door to bartenders and security guys. Food was really good! A lot for what we paid. One star less because sound quality was lacking.
After the last few experiences here, me and my partner will no longer be going to any events at this venue. First off, the security at the door has been very aggressive and rude. But the main thing is how they have been using the side stage for their edm events. They say it depends on the crowd but I went to a sold out event and they still crammed us like sardines in front of the womens rest room. Which is strange because a few months prior I came out for Justin Martin and there was maybe a crowd of 30 people and they had him at the main stage, which was awesome. But the last time we were there, one of the speakers was blown out and you could not feel the bass or hear the music. It was really disappointing! I heard it was like that for the last few events before that too.
THEIR SECURITY PUT ME IN DANGER!! Not a safe place!!! We will not be going back. I was harassed by their security team at the end of the night for waiting for my husband outside of the venue. While waiting, I witnessed one of their security team members purchasing drugs. I was then “escorted” halfway down a flight of stairs that led to a parking garage and was aggressively told to leave. I was left alone at nearly midnight in a shady parking garage fearing for my safety. The show was amazing and I’m trying to not let the last 10 minutes of the night ruin the whole experience, but I have never been treated like that in my life.
This place is terrible for raves. Security will throw away your glow sticks, take your fan,no camelbacks and don’t even think about a mosh pit here. The floor is so sticky from spilled drinks it feels like your feet are on a glue trap. Whole places smells like a urinal inside and out. 2/10. Just got to HB social club or the Warehouse.
Females beware. This club treats their patrons atrociously. I’ve witnessed many women be mistreated, the bouncers here love to put their hands on/ physically fight little girls. They are beyond rude for no reason, and clearly don’t care about the actual safety of their customers. Do not go here.
Went to see The Psychedelic Furs. 8pm show. Venue couldn’t pony up for an opening act. Had horrific 80s dj play 45 minutes of torture. Held the band back from hitting the stage until 10pm to milk the crowd for more alcohol money. Lame venue and owners.
This was my first visit (and probably last) because I am moving soon, but I loved the fact that I was able to drive right up to the entrance and have my car valet parked for 15 dollars- A definite plus! Also, the size of the venue was just perfect to get a good view of the band. I never felt crowded and the people were friendly. The only down-side was security getting in the place. I have never gone through security that thorough. I had to empty out everything in my pockets, and then they go through your stuff. I felt like my privacy had been invaded. Other than that, I didnt buy any drinks, so I cant say anything about the bar or prices.
Saw Daniel Caesar and Cannons here. Sweet little venue with young people. Standing auditorium, mildly priced drinks, people having fun and not there to show off or be too wild. No problems with staff.
Saw future islands here tonight. This venue really should invest in some new audio equipment. The speakers were so blown out they made the band sound awful. Maybe they would work for EDM but for live dynamic music they don’t cut it.
I have seen a couple of concert here. And I really like it. Its not a big place. So if you are in the back row you can still see the band really well... unless you are small. Some places that Ive seen concerts at are really strict, and will almost make you fell like you are not welcome or have any free-will. But the staff and the security here make me feel safe and welcome. I just love this place. And I cant wait too have many more good times at ,The republik.
Been here for 2 shows, its nice If youre into these kinds of small concerts. Capacity is 1000 people so its small to mid range. There is a small restaurant here and two bar areas for drinks. You may get patted down before entering, but they also have a wand. Easily accessible from the mall parking across the street.
I went with my daughters to see young the giant and was thinking I’d be the oldest person there but had the best experience ever!!!!The security was awesome and felt so safe with all they do to make sure, the bartender Rachel made me feel so welcome, she was the best!! But all the employees were too!!!
Was there this past Saturday night (01/21)The security guys were absolutely amazing!!!!!! And truly looked out for my safety! I am so thankful for them. They got me out of a very weird situation!
I had the best time at the Republik. It was a perfect size. It wasnt too busy, yet there was a great crowd. I went for a concert and saw the Cat Empire. The stage was a great size and there were plenty of bartenders. I never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a drink. The pizza was also delicious! Prices were fair.
A great small venue but a lot of people can pack in. It might be difficult to see the stage if you’re short or seated but the sound is quite good.Everyone working at the venue was really kind and made an effort to create a welcoming environment.
Club was kind of hard to find, but once we found the place, it was very nice inside. The security were on top of anyone who was acting disorderly and kicked them out, which made you feel safe.
This is a fantastic club with a fantastic setup. If you intend on remaining for a long, arrive early and take a seat at the bar. After several visits, I can say that Ive never had a poor experience here.
Last night was the worst concert I have ever attended. Not because the band sucked, but because the venue sucked. The acoustics in Republik are so bad that they feel the need to turn everything up to 12! I endured the opening act (a local band) so I could see my favorite band - Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue. I left after their third song because the jumbled blob of sound was so loud that I could not discern a trombone from a base guitar. Troys singing was unintelligible. Shame... I was so looking forward to seeing my favorite artists while here in Hawaii on Military Duty.
One of the few places to go; and that’s the *only* reason to go.The space and sound-system are mediocre and the stage is poorly managed. Security protocols are invasive and amateur; the security staff itself is far undertrained (and probably far underpaid) and is extremely anti-social to the point of creepy McCreeperness. (They will literally barge into people’s bathroom stalls to ‘make busts’.) There is absolutely nothing about this place, except the cheap and poorly placed self-advertisements, that suggests you are here to have a good time...I attend shows all over the world and I’ve seen several of the same artists abroad and here, at this venue; and not one show at this venue was worth the *effort* of attending and tolerating. The only reason I give this venue 2 stars, and not 1 star, is because it’s simply there and trying; a supposedly good time that doesn’t measure up :/
Some pretty decent artisits play here, and the crowds usually pretty chill. Unfortunately, its hard not to let the rude security staff harsh the vibes. In addition to them shoving folks like myself around, Ive watched them escort a guy out of the venue for refilling his $4 water bottle. But hey, if youre a girl and look like jailbait, they wont give you any trouble at all!
SO I PAID FOR 6 TICKETS TO SEE SHAQ DEISEL DJ LIKE 3 MONTHS IN-ADVANCE.ONLY TO RECEIVE AN EMAIL THE NIGHT OF THAT THE SHOW WAS CANCELED AND WILL BE REFUNDED THE $320.00 I SPENT ON TICKETS.THE PLAN?TOOK OFF OF WORK,FOUND A BABYSITTER,RESERVED A HOTELROOM FOR AFTERPARTY,AND THE MAIN SHOW GOT CANCELLED.NEVER-AGAINREPUBLIK
Always a good time, but they really need to go with another security company or train them better, they are always unreasonably rude. They really let their power go into their heads and make anyone who doesn’t look like they’re from Hawaii feel extremely uncomfortable if you know what I mean… anyway, been here over 20 times now and it’s always a reoccurring problem so I decided to act on it… “aloha…”
Great place to hang with friends! The atmosphere is always warm and inviting, plus the music is always on point. Bartenders are kind and drinks are always reasonable. Parking can be difficult to find. Overall one of the best places to hang with friends!
Been here for a few shows. Nice place to come if its for small concerts. Easily accessible but parking can be a ways away if you cant find any close by. All in all, good intimate place to enjoy some local jams. Sometimes they have events like RVCA sales and are pretty neat also
Hawaii doesnt have many places for concerts. This gives you a smaller venue to be close to the artists.I do wish there was more of a decline towards the stage, like stadium seating in movies, so everyone can see better.I rated it four star for Hawaii... you cant compare places mainland to here, outta night and day. I do like the couches and screens in the back for relaxing are nice tho... if youve never made it to the back its a great place to chill ☺
The venue is fairly small so you can get up close and personal with the stage. The drinks are a little pricey but what do you expect? People come here for the music, not the drinks.
Me and my brother went on a trip with our parents. We wanted to see a DJ, just to spend a nice evening, and in the middle of the show, the owner of the bar jumped on my brother for no reason, hit him to the blood and we were asked to leave with no explications. the staff were rude and arrogant. I still don’t understand what happened..
The staff was very rude and disrespectful for no reason. From the front door, to the bartender. I tried to be friendly even after the fact, the bartender continued to be very off putting. I don’t write reviews often, especially negative ones, but this place deserves it!
Great concert venue on Oahu. Sometimes turns into a club after shows. Staff are friendly, parking is a bit of struggle. Dont park at Ala Moana past 10pm they do tow on the first level. Parking is best on Kapi’olani Blvd or Valet up the ramp.
Love this place for concerts, smaller than places you would be at mainland but that offers an opportunity to be part of a smaller concert, more intimate. I love the different areas some with comfy seating. Multiple bars
Great bar/club/concert venue. I love going to raves here and the bar is absolutely fantastic. Never had an issue aside from parking but you can park across the street at Ala Moana most of the time.
$4 for a bottle of water and rude staff. I watched security pick fights with patrons. On the good side, this has excellent location for foot traffic.2016 UPDATE: The junk staff was contracted security. Water still expensive. Good place for yuppie pau hana.
Was here during Borgeous Fright night and I saw one of the security guards drop someone to the ground by the bathrooms and dragged them out of the club. Also, someone got tackled after the show for taking a picture infront of the club. Not sure if it was a bad night or something but all I know is that when bouncers started assaulting people at M Nightclub, it didn’t end well for them. Hope the Republik can start treating their customers like humans, rather than a bunch of animals.
Pleasantly surprised, first visit to the venue. Food was excellent the place is spot less our bartender was great. Ill definitely be looking to go again for another concert
Venue is cold, great sound and lighting; super artsy with a touch of fancySo why the bad review? Bad security.Unprofessional security makes this a no-go
Probably the best current music venue on the island. Kinda reminds me of World Cafe/Groove on Nimitz from back in the day. My bud Roxy bar tends there, but she works at all the hip joints. If youre reading this Roxy, I want a beer!!!
$20 minimum on cards. $4 for a water. No drink allowed in bathroom so cant even fill a water up in there. Staff are rude and abrasive. Concert was great tho.
This is the worst place for concerts in hawaii, the staff are rude and the venue is just too small. Security here take their jobs too seriously and act like their all that when in reality their just renta cops. 10 out of 10 wouldnt recommend going here for a concert, dont waste your time
No free water? I literally didn’t think places were allowed to not serve free tap water lol that’s next level stingy
Great music venue, Drinks are strong, the pizzas are a good size for the price. I enjoyed the Kailua Pork pizza and the spicy fries. Very tasty.
Rude bouncers. Tried to deny my right to retrieve my credit card when leaving. When walking in, my friends and I saw multiple prostitutes soliciting men for business, and the bouncers took no notice.10/10 would not recommend.
While this venue hosts some amazing concerts, the staff is very unfriendly, and you pay 7$ for a tiny beer. Go for the music, but I suggest pre-gaming elsewhere.
Great venue, amazing food, clean and well-staffed! The perfectly sized venue to see bands that dont have an arena-sized following in hawaii.
The Republik is a terrible venue. The security there is a bunch of trumped up bullies. I avoid it at all costs. Its just not worth it to spend a bunch of money to go to a show and then be hassled by the staff there.
This is the weirdest bar I’ve ever been to. A bunch of 500 lb men with fowaks trying to pry on underage women.
Horrible security...nice place....go. somewhere else if not seeing a show...
Great place to watch Primus play and listen to Led Claypool slap that bass. And Im pretty sure their other venues are good too.
Really awesome venue, you get too see and hear the bands up real close. Limited nonsense and awesome atmosphere.
One of the few great places for smaller bands that come to the island, great sound system and the crowd is usually pretty cool too.
Security is over aggressive and on a power trip. I highly recommend to never go to this place.
Great concert venue, amazing it has been here for over ten years now, keeps getting better with time.
Great venue for music acts but the bar pricing is outrageous during events.
Live the intimate venue. Aaron Lewis was incredible. Never saw a bad show. Luke Combs soon!
$15 valet parking+tip, $7 beer in a plastic cup, sticky floors, complacent staff.... music, lighting, staging, live bands all awesome!
Zero aloha from staff and bartenders. Security is over the top. Not very friendly environment. Stick with Hawaiian Brians 👍
Im concerned that there are over capacity in a limited space during a standing concert.
One of the best venues in town. I have came here to see alot of great artists.
Great venue. Very intimate concert experience
Watch out! Bouncers are on a power trip! Worst club Ive been to in the states.
Fun night but staff was def lacking in customer service
Always a great time, Ive been to countless concerts and each one feels alive!
Great venue, lots of talented musicians and shows, and the owners are great people.
Great music. Small dance floor but a conce t area as well. 2
Good selection of acts perfect size for intimate concerts good drink selection
Always a good time small venue but up close and good times.loooking forward to Lee Brice in Nov

Participate in events.Unlike Japan, luggage and security inspections are carefully done (dont forget your passport)If its tough, can 1000 people fit in??The box.I wonder if about 800 people can move???The stage is easy to watch, but unlike Japan, its flat with no partition bars, steps, or pillars. If the waves happen, you will fall 😣 It might be dangerous. The lighting is also monochromatic and its a simple live house with no decorations, so I think the atmosphere is good. The staff looked scary and had a lot of security, but they were very kind.Pet water $4 Cup juice $2 🥤The food is 🍟🌭 light meals (I dont know the type)The entrance toilets at the venue are shared by men and women. The back side is for women. No cloakroom or locker. I change clothes in the bathroom, so I dont have to carry much luggage ☺️To Waikiki 🚍️ Buses leave from Ala Moana Center until after 10pm, but pink buses etc. leave early! It is safe to return home late at night by getting off near your hotel.
Valet parking is available during events such as live performances. The air conditioning in the venue is too effective, so be prepared.
