I have tried a couple of Korean spas around, and so far, Im pleased and happy with this one. It was quite clean and has amenities th I liked. There might be a better spa out there, bus so far, this place won my business. I took a couple of images of that place. It was completely empty the rooms when I took it. The only complain that they close pretty at 10PM .. there are a few korean spas that close later than that

I’m a huge fan of Korean spas (jimjilbang 찜질방). While it might not be the as flashy as other options in ktown, this is not to be missed. It’s located inside a mall and is on the third floor. I know these places can feel intimidating if you’ve never been before, but don’t let it stop you! The women at the front will walk you through and tell you everything you need to know to enjoy the facility. And honestly if you end up confused, pretty much anyone there will help you out too, very communal feeling. This place has all the basic amenities needed and the price is right. I got the Gold Special, a two hour service that includes a body scrub, hair treatment, and a lovely massage. Make sure to bring cash to tip your person. The whole spa facility was clean and wasn’t overly crowded like some other places are which was so nice as I went on a Saturday. The food in the cafe was incredible, and I really recommend you try the Korean rice drink as it’s perfectly sweet and cold.Lastly, make sure to park in the parking structure that is outlined in blue as you’ll get 6 hours included parking on P2. Don’t make the mistake I did and park in the structure next door, they’re expensive.

Smaller compared to Korean spas I have been to.We took advantage of their small gym and did some LISS for about 20 minutes before our massage appts.’I came with my mom and it was her first time to a Korean spa. My mom enjoyed her session, though she prefers gentle massages. I, on the other hand, prefer my massages to be more intense. My mom said we should’ve switched masseuses. The saunas were nice. We were able to try each room once before we started to get hungry. We ate at their cafe and ordered the galbitang and shared it. It was yummy.Overall, it was good. The place was clean and the staff was nice.

Only used the men’s sauna and the jimjilbang. Went on a Tuesday at noon. Sauna is small but is very clean and has all the amenities you need to feel squeaky clean. If it’s you’re first time at a Korean spa, the staff will gladly explain to you how everything works. I was nervous about going here based on some of the reviews saying this place is “bare bones” but I didn’t feel that at all. It was relaxing and quiet, unlike Wi Spa where people are talking way too loud and there’s kids running around everywhere. Food in the jimjilbang is good too, I had the seaweed soup. Saw people eating the bibimbap and tofu soup, also looked good. Overall it was very relaxing and I would come back again for the quiet and relaxing ambiance. It’s also great that this spot is in the same building as H-Mart. I went grocery shopping after and got boba across the street at Tiger Sugar.

The baths: everything was as expected from a Korean spa. It wasn’t majorly clean, but it also wasn’t dirty. Unsanitary. The facial: the lady explained absolutely nothing about her process and proceeded to give me few acne scarring in the process. As someone who regularly gets facials, she should’ve not extracted a few pimples as they were not at the right stage to be extracted yet.The scrubbing: the person who gave me a scrub was someone who definitely just wanted to get it over with. They also used an exfoliating cloth that had either been used on someone else before or was really agitating, because it turned the KP on my arms from smooth to actual bumps. I’ve NEVER experienced that from a Korean spa before. 3 weeks later, I’m still recovering from it and trying to lessen the inflammation. I’ve gone to multiple Korean spas, but this was the worst one and expensive for what it offers too. Unsanitary and I will never come back.

A must-visit for every trip to LA! I highly recommend the scrub and massage package. The scrub ladies are meticulous, they will make you question just how good of a job you do exfoliating yourself😅I’ve never been so soft and clean. Great and unexpected experience! This was my first time visit in a Korean spa and I was very positively surprised with a scrub part of the massage treatment - never in my life I had a peeling of the kind and the result was spectacular! Really enjoyed working out and relaxing here. I dont have a real basis for comparison as this was my first k-town spa, but I went on a Sunday and found it clean, not very busy (had several of the pools and rooms to myself at times), and very calming and peaceful. In the sex segregated sections they had hot pool, cold pool, wet and dry saunas, and showers. In the communal areas they had cafe, lounge space, and charcoal, clay, and salt hot rooms, as well as a cool room. Aveda toiletries were a nice touch, as were free razors and toothbrushes. Also enjoyed that they had a basic but functional gym that you could use as well. Plus, the food in the café was very tasty. Staff explained protocol well to this newbie. All in all a really good experience and a very relaxing place to be.

Really traumatizing experience. Heads up that the masseuses are either 1.) nude or 2.) in their undergarments massaging people on a table covered in plastic wrap. They use warm towels on people by dunking the towels in buckets of lukewarm water. They also hose down the plastic tables with a hose following each massage. You are also not allowed to wear shoes of any kind (not even slippers) in the facility. That poses a sanitary issue.Overall, would not recommend. Dirty facility and extremely uncomfortable environment and massage experience. They also use very cheap products during the service and their massage was not sanitary. YUCK. Avoid at all costs and take your business elsewhere.

I have been going there for years but recently realized (while comparing with other places) how rundown the place is. It is also fairly small so unless you are going on a weekday it will be packed. There is no place to rest or even sit in the wet area, you have to dress and go to common area for that.TREATMENTS. Acupuncture massage is always awesome (and the reason I keep coming back). Scrab and oil massage is not consistent. Some of my friends loved it and others found it subpar. One problem is that some therapists focus more on chatting with others than on the treatment. It makes experience not relaxing at all if you hear a loud conversation right over your head when you trying to relax and enjoy the treatment.

I was super appreciative that she didn’t talk during the massage (asking me about where to focus, commenting on my tension, etc.) and instead just intuitively responded my body/muscles. Horrible experience. Did the Vitamin C skin care treatment and got a horrible allergic rash from it. They extracted „impurities“ i didnt even know i had and poked my face all over. Afterwards they added some products over my face and next day my face looked the worst it ever had. It’s really itchy and all the spots which they poked inflamed and turned into little pimples/rash spots. Worst part is now that all this happened they are unwilling to help. We called them twice and always got the response of „We‘ll call you back“ which they never did.Update: We finally got a response back after calling 5 times. The young manager was very nice and helpful, while an older lady with a full face with make up was very rude and unwilling to help. Im assuming she was the one picking up the phone the other times. The skin care lady was also very nice and said that it might be an allergic reaction to something I ate instead of to the treatment. I’ll change my review from 1 Star to 2.

I have only been to a handful of Korean spas but I like how this one is smaller and more low key. Locker rooms and facilities were clean. They use Aveda products, which was huge because I’m super sensitive to fake chemical fragrances and Aveda only uses plant derived essential oils. I’ve been a couple times for the full body massage with scrub. I made sure to come extra early to soak and enjoy the sauna and steam room. I thought Miso was thorough with her technique and left feeling completely renewed. I wasn’t impressed with the cafe options or the woman working the counter but highly recommend resting in the Himalayan salt rock room!

Love this quiet spa and I go regularly. It isnt perfect or huge, but that helps keep the crowds smaller so it is a more enjoyable experience compared to bigger places. The salt room has some condensation or a roof leak that has dissolved part of a few bricks, there is one jacuzzi and one cold tub that arent very big, the uniforms sometimes have holes or considerable ware and some of the shower areas arent working, mixing shower heads, etc. Generally, though the facility is well maintained, clean and uses decent products. It isnt super high end, but approachable and easy. Food is good too, though Im not a big fan of their shaved ice.

This was one of the most demoralizing, inhumane, and horrible experiences of my life. I am wheelchair user and was flat out denied entry on the basis that I might make other guests uncomfortable. (I was also asked why I even use a wheelchair, which is a bizarre question to ask a customer. Or anyone)I have encountered plenty of ableism in my life, but most is subtle, hidden, and systemic: a step to get in a house; a few extra eyes on me on the street; a broken wheelchair from an airline (stairs, stares, and wheelchair repairs). But very rarely is the ableism I encounter so blatant that I’m flat out denied entry because my body looks different than others. If I ever get the energy, I’ll either cry about this or get litigious. Until that happens, just don’t support this place. They should be shut down.Sure, it’s a spa. It’s a luxury and there are other more important battles to fight, especially ones that help others survive, like health care and housing and things like that. But at the same time…crips deserve saunas too.- - -IMAGE DESCRIPTIONAn empty power wheelchair. The love, vessel of freedom, and lifeline of this ambulatory wheelchair user.

Ok spa. Great co-Ed areasBut the Locker room Attendant for the male side is extremely rude. He was yelling at my friend and I for rules we didn’t even know they had and making it extremely uncomfortable to be there. Maybe because we aren’t of Asian descent he felt it was ok to sit there and badger and bother us until we decided it wasn’t worth it to be there anymore. He kept following us around telling us random things we can and cannot do and how we “have no respect” even though we did nothing wrong. He honestly looked like he wanted to fight us for putting on our shoes when we were about to leave. Seems like he was mad that someone other than people that looked like him were there… anyways you’ve been warned. Mediocre spa, great massages though especially for feet. She kept asking me if I was comfortable or if something hurt, so she was intently asking for my feedback the whole time and I appreciated that. Classy- (Most) Girls like to go to top notch places, just like fancy restaurants.2. Silence- I suggest you come on a Sunday, like I do, since there is no crowd and absolutely no kids running around in this spa. All the 2 kids I saw were angels and had manners.3. 4 Rooms- Bring in your lady to have a relaxing, but regenerating time in the Red Clay, Salt, Ice, and Charcoal (out favorite) Rooms.Remember guys, money is no issue when you are spending it on her, so spit out $30 for admission.

I am happy to tip, but Im not sure what the first tip went towards... We spent around $350 for the three of us, which is reasonable, I just wish we werent hounded for gratuities. What they have: Soaking tubs, spa services, saunas (wet, dry) private areas, co-ed areas, ice room, charcoal room... this place isnt over the top, and hots every thing most important in a korean-style day spa. This is like a nice, well-maintained jimjilbang in South Korea, but the Aveda addition is a nice one! Using the Aveda products for everything (you shower yourself before gettgin in, after, and they sell products and let you sample the products such as lotion and the like in the entrance and in the getting ready areas of the locker room) The Avenda products felt and smelled amazing, left my hair smooth and silky. I paid extra for the body scrub service, which is top notch. The tv with the hot tub and ice bath makes up for only having two bath options! I went back again the next day. This time I got the oil massage (I think it was a half hour of heaven) came with a facial that left me glowing, both services included a free shampoo/conditioner aka a delightful head massage. I didnt sleep over or stay into night time, but I considered it--the sleeping rooms are inside of the gendered locker areas and labeled for relaxation. Blankets available! You get a bracelet with a locker number on it. The bracelet is a key for your locker! Also acts as a ID for any services like massage/scrubs. Not sure what order ppl use the amenities, but I showered, hot tubbed, changed into spa clothes, and then used the various heated rooms (salt, charcoal, mud). The heated rooms are HOT. Then went back to locker room for a body scrub. It included shampooing my hair which I wasnt expecting. The Aveda products smell amazing! The scrub was about 40-50 min I think. Theres a mini massage with some sort of creamy gel after the lady scrubs the hell out of your skin. In case youre wondering how you tip the spa worker when youre naked and wet, she hands you an envelope when the scrub is finished and you put the tip in there to leave at the front desk. Probably obvious for other ppl but this was something I was thinking about during my scrub. Overall this was a great value!

Theres also a resting common area where men and women wear a the spas shorts and shirt and can sleep, enjoy hot and cold rooms, and also eat at the cafeteria. They have pretty good food that comes straight from the food court area of the mall.

Awesome jjimjilbang, with the best products (Aveda) of any spa in ktown. Get the aroma scrub and massage, it will wreck you in the best possible way. Smooth skin and the feeling that you could be a stone on ice, gliding across while curlers brush an ideal path for you. Which is to say, great. Love the dry hot saunas too!

It is a great place to quietly and comfortably wash with clean water and recover your tired body and mind in a hot sauna. In particular, the quality of the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash is the best. The restaurant inside the store is also delicious.

Facilities used by many people in the United States tend to be dirty, but they are really clean!! There are many types of saunas and the water pressure is strong and good. It costs $30 including a sauna bath, and shampoo, body wash, toothbrush, razor, and shaving cream are all provided, so I think the price is not expensive at all compared to Korea.

Review №182

It was a small, clean, and quiet spa compared to others, but it seems to be changing for the worse, which is very disappointing. In particular, if you bring your car, you do not leave the parking lot within 6 hours from the time you entered. You may have to pay a parking fee of about $40. I have experienced being hit with a merciless parking fee after a little more than 2 hours.
