Massage Envy

Usually never compelled to leave a negative review but genuinely in awe of the terrible service I received today.My appointment was moved up an hour, unbeknownst to me, and I was called by an incredibly condescending manager, Porsha, saying they had been trying to reach me to notify me about my appointment change. Before I could even speak, the level of aggression right out of the gate was truly shocking.Basically, she failed to confirm my appointment, failed to block off the time that her employee was unavailable in the online booking system, had zero accountability for her mistakes and decided it was my fault for not picking up the phone in time to rearrange my day for this new appointment slot. She then told me she was going to only try and charge me half for cancelling. After THEY moved my appointment. It escalated to the point where we were yelling at each other, and she consistently spoke over me and threatened me with charging me full price for the cancellation.A corporate employee confirmed to me that she absolutely was at fault here, for both lying about confirming my appointment immediately upon receiving my request, and for failing to put her employees schedules in the system properly. She has no business managing a location.Do yourself a favour and pick literally ANY of the other locations in LA.

Booked a 1 hour massage with one of the male masseuses. I stated the type of pressure that I wanted. He had very light hands so I said he could go a little firmer. Not much change if any. I then let him know again that I would like for him to go firmer. A little change but barely felt him working on my muscles and back. He barely touched and just rubbed my skin on my hands and feet. Didn’t touch my head. I paid extra to have aromatherapy added to the massage but I didn’t smell it. I asked if he even used it, he said he did and to smell the oils on my skin and I BARELY even smelled anything. It was a ripoff. I’ve had massages at other places where they use strong aromatherapy oils and they include it with the massage at no extra cost. I was wearing a mask but even when I took it off to smell the oils I couldn’t tell. The experience could have been better. Oh well.

Gwen was amazing! A great massage therapist who listened when I asked for more or less pressure. I can’t wait to get another massage from her again soon. Request Gwen and you’ll be happy. The whole staff was friendly and helpful too. Thrilled to have discovered this place.

Today, after a 90 minute Sports/Trigger Point massage with Lindsay the marathon runner, and a 90 minute facial with Victoria (3rd time with her) I can look back and be happy about my decision. This can be a 3 hour vacation from real life. Or, a 3 hour nap. They have heated beds, fruit infused water, and GREAT location!MASSAGE: I am a runner, model and...its almost swim/beach season. I asked Lindsay to tell me where I had knots, needed to stretch more and how I can get they most out of my next massage. She was best at reading where I needed more or less pressure. Best at calves , my tight IT bands and upper back. Shes easy to communicate what needs done.FACIAL: Ive been told that I need to work on my pores. Victoria remembered me from last time, touched on her goals for the visit and walked me through each step so I knew what she was applying to my face. This increased the value tremendously. She did the right handholding for a guy who just uses whatever face regiment hes told. She also recommended product to replace the items I was nearly running out of.My biggest fear has never happened. Because they have quality staff and recommend the person who will best fit my needs: Firm pressure, strength/leverage with a soft touch...heated bed and robes if needed.

Great location! Love the new system with the iPad. Tranquility room is nice and I really appreciate the mouthwash in the restroom. I had the best massage of my life with Jesse! I needed to focus on my neck and shoulders and thats exactly what we did. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit and cant wait to come back

Ive been a massage envy member for over 5 years, Ive been to a number of locations and this is by far the worst management (apparently brand new management btw) and customer service. Ive been a loyal customer for a long time and even buy all my skincare products from them so I have spent a lot of money, always give good tips, and never have returned anything, I know they can see this history on my account. Unfortunately the management at this location was unwilling to do ANYTHING over a skincare product that gave my skin a really bad reaction. I let them know how disappointed I was, and they didnt offer anything besides a shrug and quick sorry. I was actually told I had bad timing because this was the new management policy.. so be warned. If you are in the area, there are a number of better priced massages/facials because you know Hollywood.

I love this concept! Its fairly inexpensive and payment setup is easy. This Massage Envy is always spotless and well maintained. The employees are courteous and not too pushy for sales. Danielle is my absolute favorite! Consistently the best!

Garbage management and most people working the front desk. I have a membership with this horrid place and was unable to afford paying the monthly due to getting laid off from my job and trying to survive as a student. I froze my account with them 2 different times since the first time I froze it they ignored the documents I signed and continued to charge me. 2nd time I froze it, I thought theyd actually do their work and not charge my card but of course they had to go ahead and steal money from me 5 different times!!! I didnt get a single phonecall from them about even scheduling an appointment for a massage throughout the period of 5 months while they were quietly charging me money. Fraudulent business, idiotic managers and receptionists. Dont even bother coming here and wasting your time with management and receptionists like this.

My first impression of this location was awesome! Porsha is extremely professional and gives you a warm welcome!! I would highly recommend their services. Porsha was very informative, kind, and patient which I believe are great keys for the beauty and health industry.

Always excellent service and a relaxing visit. Gwen is an excellent therapist and also always puts me to sleep lol. The team at Message Envy always make you feel welcomed and appreciated and therapists like Gwen make the visits worth while.

We brought a pack of each: Chives with Shrimp dumplings, Chives with Chicken dumplings, Shrimp Wonton and Beef pancakes. The dumplings are great and there are 20 on each package. Have not try to wonton and beef pancakes yet, however, pretty sure it is just as great as the dumplings!

Amazing location! I have been here a number of times and they truly out do themselves every time. I had a strange experience at another place and they could not have been more supportive and accommodating! If you’re ever getting a facial, ask for Samantha...she is awesome!

Portia at the front desk was amazing—such great energy. And Telanto was wonderful—professional, good communication and the right balance of firm + gentle.

Great therapist. They are my definite favorite. The therapists address always so friendly and usually do a really great job as did mine.

Awesome location! Its super clean and nice, all the staff are great, and the massages Ive gotten so far have been incredible.

Drove 1hr to get to my appointment, which I made for the same day. I confirmed its for the same day. Iget there and they booked my appt at the wrong day even though I confirmed for tonight. Wow... its so frustrating.
