Phenomenal venue. Chose the balcony seats and they amazing. Upstairs bathroom available and upstairs out door smoking area aswell. Upstairs bar is very convenient. Sound was amazing and will definitely return. Went just for cafune even though it was luke hemms show. Doors opened a little before 7. Co liner started right about 8pm and lasted about 30 minutes. Definitely recommended and will return.
Yesterday while I was at ice spice’s concert, so many people were going crazy, blocking and cutting mines and my friends spot. we were both getting pushed by alot of ppl going crazy, which it was scaring me like we thought something bad was gonna happen to us. I wasn’t even able to film and take pics well. i would, rate 6/10 Ice Spice was looking really beautiful and i enjoyed her concert. I also don’t regret supporting her.
From the organization for entry and exiting the venue to the friendliness and helpful staff, this venue is a great place to see a show. What, at my senior age, didnt enjoy was its general admission designed for standing room only, unless you purchased the limited VIP upper seats. Unfortunately, this type of event viewing will keep me from going back. For the rest who dont mind standing several hours side by side with other concert goers, its a great place.
Great staff . Well organized and the venue tonight was awesome. I had a smash burger there at the new restaurant and it was the bomb , also the cashier was fine and friendly. I highly recommend this place for a concert.
Ive been coming to shows here since I was a kid. They recently remodeled and that included putting in additional bars which was a good move because it always used to take so long to get drinks and now its not so gruesome. The sound system must have been upgraded because the acoustics were great. As far as security is concerned, I dont know if I was randomly picked out, but they did a seriously thorough pat down and by thorough I mean it was one step away from having to take your clothes off and get the body cavity search. Luckily for me I was not up to no good so I was able to get past that but it was a little invasive lol at the very least you know youre safe and in this day and age Id rather go through that than have some wife job ruin everybodys life. For parking at part the block away on a side street that was kind of close to Dennys. It was only 10 bucks and the parking lot was very secure. It was underneath the high-rise building so that was easy breezy and not too hard on the wallet!
I just bought concert tickets and I thought that I’m past due on writing up a review for this venue. Hollywood Palladium is one of my favorite local concert and events venue. I love seeing GA shows here because you can decide how close or far from the stage you want to be at, at any given moment of the night. I consider it a smaller venue and I enjoy it because you feel like you are emersed into the whole concert experience. Sold out shows tend to be problematic because it tends to get hot and stuffy on the main floor. Word of advice, spend a little bit more and get VIP tickets upstairs whenever they are available. It’s more spacious upstairs in the VIP area and ventilation and AC is better on packed /sold out nights. None of the negatives are a deal breaker because obviously I always keep on returning here.
So, this place left me with a mix of feelings. Its a neat venue and the experience was pleasant overall. I was at the front for the entire show. I really appreciated the free water for those at the rail. I did experience a couple hang-ups tho. For instance, with the water, guards were being rly stingy with it and we werent rly able to share with patrons behind us. I shared anyways and would just keep requesting water every 5 min. 😅 Another thing that was quite a bummer was that fact that I paid to check-in/leave my Hydro Flask at the outdoor counter, and when I went to retrieve it after the show, it was evident that it had been dropped, scratched and dented (pics attached). I feel like if someone pays to keep their personal item safe, but then gets it back damaged, especially if its an expensive item, that person should at the very least receive a refund because their personal property was not kept safe. I do like the fact that they offer the option to check-in personal belongings so that you dont have to carry them around the venue, but my experience with it was not great. I really wish they couldve been honest and up-front with me, but instead I have to write a review like this to let yall know what could happen. I hope this helps.
The Goods: This place is huge! I love the space, I enjoyed the multiple entrances to get to the seating area. I enjoyed the way the way security was helpful along the way. I like that there was multiple places to park. Street parking, parking Garage or parking lot. Totally worth going again now that I know the set up.The Ugly: The bar AND FOOD station was the only thing I found to be inconvenient. I feel that the two should be separate and it wouldnt be much of a hassel to get your food and go.This is a great venue to have events at
Finally came out to a show at the infamous Hollywood Palladium and it did not disappoint! If you’re looking for parking, don’t park at the designated lot for the palladium because you’ll end up paying $40! Instead, park at a structure labeled “Sunset Media Center” off Sunset and Argyle for half the price. If you want to save even more money, there’s a lot off of Argyle and Selma that’s only $10. We prefer the structure because it’s well-lit and has a functional and CLEAN restroom. The venue itself is pretty big and it’s split up with a ground level and upper level. The upper level is designated for VIP ticket goers and there appears to be ample space, food, and bars to keep you going throughout the night.I appreciated the simplicity of the layout and was never stuck in line for the bathroom at any point of the night. This is a huge win for us ladies so they get major points for that. One of the cons would be fairly rude security. I don’t expect them to be the nicest people in the world but they refused to take one photo of my friends and I at the front and one of my friends also got into a fight with them at the end of the night because he was trying to kick us out while we were waiting for the artist to come out for a photo. I remember them saying “no artist is going to come out just because you want them to” right as the dj actually stepped right out and gave my friend a hug. Talk about having his foot in his mouth!!Another thing I really disliked was the fact that water was only provided via purchase of Liquid Death and for some unknown reason you couldn’t just keep the can, they had to pour it into the flimsiest paper cup for you. If you even ask for ice, good freaking luck at keeping it from disintegrating….Still, the venue is worth checking out if there’s an artist you want to see performing here!
I had my first visit to the Palladium this week. The staff was very on top of the flow of people and safety precautions. The building is so cool on the inside and the audio sounded great. It was insanely loud the night we went but the staff was great at passing out ear protection. Cant wait to go back for another show.
First time at venue and I want to say the staff was amazing and I have fibromyalgia and needed ADA seating and I wish I got the girls name but she wasnt in normal staff shirt but when I was asking the staff security they didnt know where to route me and this girl jumped into action and really helped me and made my first experience amazing and got me to where I needed to be. Thank you for that amazing experience, it truly makes a difference and other venues need to take notes on how you guys do things!!
This is a great venue for shows. My very favorite thing was that waitresses come to the front of general admission (at the barricade) and take drink orders. This is awesome and my main reason for writing this review. 😂 At other venues Im usually at the front and totally stuck with no way to get another drink and I dont want to sober up before the main act has even gotten on stage. 😂 Or if you need water or something too. 😂
Great spot to see a concert. There was a lot across the street that did $20 self park and stayed open 1 hr after the show ends. The venue itself was well managed with tons of spots for drinks so you are never stuck waiting in a line. Security was plentiful and respectful in communicating. I appreciated that drinks were not allowed in the main “dance” floor during my concert so I never got a drink spilled on me or stood on top of cups/cans. There are no bad spots to stand on the main floor as far as I could tell.
Bauhaus show on November 4th. The band was amazing. Parking attendant made my night by putting me right up front, Elle showed me to premium seating options for next time (call ahead, ask for her), and non-alcoholic options were a welcome relief at the friendly bar. The sold-out show did not feel overcrowded and that felt safe, yet awesome for people watching and socializing with the eclectic crowd. This is a great place to see live music. I chose to stand in the middle at the back of the floor to maximize sound quality, then move up as people left. Ill be back.
Idles show last night, at least 50 people had their phones stolen. Out of the hundreds of shows I’ve been to, 50 people got jacked? Terrible, absolutely horrible that this could occur. Where was security? Never ever ever again. If you attend this show, leave everything absolutely everything at home. Literally be dressed. Do not bring cash. Cards. Or apparently even your phone.
I came to LA to see The Last Rockstars at the Palladium and it was honestly a perfect experience. We had some issues with payment for VIP but a wonderful person named Mauricio did everything he could to help me while I stressed (for no reason) on the plane on the way there. He made sure we got everything we needed and the VIP seats were perfect and if I ever get to go to a show there again I will 100% do VIP again.
Love this venue, wish more artists would play here. Every time Ive visited its been General Admission, so thats standing only and doesnt appeal to everyone. However, if you are older or in a wheelchair, when you purchase your ticket ask for ADA. They set up a few rows of chairs, roped off, for this reason. Bathrooms are always clean. Drink prices are high, but thats expected. Employees are helpful. You can take the metro and exit Hollywood and Vine. Right around the corner. Easy, reliable, inexpensive.
DONT PARK AT THIS VENUE.complete RIP OFF . 40$ for parking is ridiculous and outrageous.they are taking advantage of people who dont know anything about the area. If u keep driving down the street they have 15$ parking walking distance . Parking is also cash only super annoying and inconvinient . 22$ for a drink 19$ for a refill is beyond ridiculous and outrageous . Oversell tickets . Beyond over crowded no space to dance at all . The venue itself is nice . The bathroom were surprisingly clean. They are real bathroom not porta potty with mirrors . Nice cool gold backsplah on the wall . The acoustic in the concert venue was way better than house of blues. Entering and checking digital tickets was a breath . Fast and easy . Lot of people were beyond drunk and high pushing people cutting people off , beyond rude . As soon as the concert ended they were pushing people out . They dont sell u drink anymore nor artist goods so make sure you buy those upon entering . The guy checking id and giving bracelet was cool friendly and easy to deal with . Thumbs up to him .
We loved the Palladium! Best part was they actually turn on the AC so we weren’t dying of heat in the crowd. Plenty of bars strategically placed throughout the venue, never was a long line for drinks. Easy parking, friendly staff. The sound was great!
GA IS NOT FOR SHORT PPL ESPECIALLY IF THERE IS PPL PUSHING IM 5’8 IM NOT SHORT BUT I WAS HAVING TROUBLE BREATHING BY THE PPL SQUSHING ME LIKE YALL NEED TO TELL THOSE PPL TO TAKE 2 STEPS ICE DID AN AMAZING PERFORMANCE BUT THESE PPL WERE SO RUDE AND ONE OF THEM DISRESPECTED ME WHEN I WAS TRYING TO GO IN FROMT BC THAT WAS MY SPOT BUT NO THE GUY Literally WAS IN THE BACK OF ME AND THAN CALLED ME THE B WORD!!!
This venue is great. It is standing only unless you pay extra for a shared booth or table. There are VIP areas with their own bathroom and bar. There are plenty of bars and you should not have to wait in a line longer than a couple people. Alcohol prices are similar to other venues for concerts and sporting events. About $14 to $22 depending on the drink. The lighting is great but the sound for the VIP areas could he improved. There is no designated parking for this venue and the entrance is on the left side of the steet face.
The quality of the venue was great and fine but security poses a major issue. at the waterparks show on april 6th, a recurring issue in the pit resulting in over 50 phones being stolen was continually brought to their attention. no effort was made to search anyone or make sure the phones did not leave the venue. lots of people are majorly in distress and the venue could have easily shut the doors and checked people on the way out. attention to safety issues is needed especially at shows like this where people need rides and communication.
A gorgeous, historic, efficiently-running, navigable venue with an excellent sound system. What else could you want? That said, here are some areas for improvement I think management/owners should consider:1) The drink prices are bonkers. Thankfully I don’t drink.3) Parking was $40. Unfortunately that was my only option for the night.2) Take down the barricade for hardcore shows 😁
I don’t know why everyone loves this venue. I’ve been here a few times in the past half year and have had a generally negative impression of the venue itself both times. (both times, i was in GA floor.)The stage is surprisingly close to the ground, making it hard to see ANYTHING if you’re under 5’6” in GA floor (most of the venue). See pics attached. That’s my main gripe. At one of the concerts, I was about 4 rows of people from barricade, yet still struggled most of the time to get a sightline. It makes the concert experience super frustrating, especially when everyone’s view could be drastically improved if the stage were just a few inches higher. The acoustics in the venue are also not the best. At both concerts I went to, the vocals were incredibly drowned out by any instruments or backtrack they played on the speakers (for the main acts AND their openers). The lighting design capabilities are also quite uninspiring. And it gets REALLY hot and cramped, since the floor is so wide and people really press in to try and see Anything. There really is no cool air circulation either. People passed out at one of the concerts I went to and the show had to be paused for at least 15 mins for it.Their bathrooms are quite good though, and security is pretty fast (tho strict). The staff also passed out waters between acts during the shows I’ve been to, which I greatly appreciate, considering how sweltering GA gets.I never really had opinions about music venues before this one! But I’d really choose to go to any other venue besides this one. It’s a shame because a lot of artists I like come here, so I don’t have a choice, if I want to see them.
Love this venue! I have seen Imagine Dragon and Of Monster and Men here, and both times the sound was great and the venue was thumping! Get there a tad early to get a good spot in the pit. You will be standing for a good amount of time, but worth it because the view in the center is amazing! Bathrooms were pretty clean for a music venue and the bars are easy to access. All in all great venue to see your favorite bands!!
I had to change my 5 stars to 3. The crowd control was horrible, they let you in one area and then another area before finally letting you in to the stage area. They said they doors opened at 5 . We were not let in until 7:30. Unless I really want to see a band, I will think twice about going again
Wow, I havent been here in over 10 years. The place is still great. They have alot of bars, my guess is about 10 or maybe more. I had some IPAs but I dont remember the label. The bartenders were great at recommending the best ones so they know their stuff.I was in the balcony, the view could he better but it was still a good show. The pit/general admission is still great by the way!
My experience here was very bad. Security was notified partly through the show that there was an attendee stealing phones in the crowd, and they did nothing to combat this. Even the headlining band announced that somebody was stealing phones so theres no possible way security wasnt aware. Several people brought it up to staff and nothing was done except for them giving us a card with a number to call. This was not helpful as many of these attendees flew from other states to attend this show. Afterwards those of us missing our personal items were told to wait in a group outside the doors, where another staff member proceeded to kick us out of the premises for no apparent reason. The solution would have been as simple as a bag check before leaving the venue. I am highly disappointed in this experience and hope they will do better moving forward.
Great venue, organized and the sound was great. Paid the 30 bucks to park on-site and was super easy to leave. It would of been nice to be given the option to buy the upgrade to sit in the vip section. I wasnt able to find out how or if it was even an option but there were a ton of open seats in that section.
Overcrowded, not allowed to stand/sit anywhere, forced to move all the way behind the bar, even though I paid for the GA ticket. Drinks cost like another ticket. Do not recommend
Great venue. I went there to see ARMNHMR. The dance floor was fairly spacious, the lighting and production capabilities are great. The bathrooms are relatively clean and well kept during the event compared to other places Ive been. My only complaint would be the drink and food prices; theyre fairly high, but I guess thats typical of venues like this. Parking was kinda pricey, too.Security was decent. Didnt have any issues with them and they had a strong presence throughout the event, so everything felt safe and well managed. They let me bring in my time sensitive prescription medication, too, which was awesome of them. Ive had issues with other places trying to confiscate medication, so it was a nice change.Overall, great experience.
I attended the Hollywood Palladium on April 6th of 2024, I had my phone stolen at the show I attended along with 50 other people who attended the show. I talked to multiple people from the crowd who were missing phones, apple watches, portable chargers, and merch. The lack of care from the staff definitely showed, as there were no bag checks, and felt the need to rush everyone out of pit while a crowd of people were looking for their belongings on the ground and voicing that TO security directly.Absolutely disappointed.
I went there for a Nine Inch Nails concert. It was my first time at this venue. We parked about 2 blocks away at a meter which we paid for the first two hours and then it was free. We got lucky with the parking. This venue reminded me of the Wiltern in terms of its size. They sell popcorn and pizza and of course alcoholic drinks. I am not much of a drinker but other people seemed to enjoy the drinks very much. I was able to secure a space in the mezzanine are which was more to my liking. You could be downstairs in General Admission as well but I didnt want to be pushed around.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS VENUEits mostly GA but its pretty spacious! The snack prices ARE SO REASONABLE compared with so many other locations! (Im talking like 5-7$ snacks thats insane!) The bathrooms are plentiful and clean and the crew are hardworking and kind! We came here for the p1harmony concert and it was a 10/10 experience! The only reason why I knocked a star down is because of the parking situation and lines, I wish they had a better system then having us wrap around 2-3 streets and not being able to find the end of the line :(
Great venue, been coming here for years for all different kinds of events. They really know how to work with space and make it look unrecognizable from one event to another. They have smoking patios upstairs if you want a smoke or just some fresh air and views. Not too far from all the Hollywood action too in case you want to keep the night going after the show is over.
Large venue with a big dance floor and an upper level, tho the upstairs is sometimes closed and is partially reserved for VIP seating. Drinks are about $15 and $20 for a double. Security is fairly strict and may make you throw away things like chapstick. Find parking in lots behind the venue, the best youll do is ten bucks.Minus 1 star for feeling slightly dated inside but mostly because they refuse to serve water at the bar, unless its in a $6 Liquid Death can. Really?
The stage was a good size and a good height to be able to see the artists performing. There will always be some short and tall people in the audience so the fact that the stage was pretty up from the floor, gives the short people a good view. The area when entering was clean. The event was organized well. The space was a reasonable size always depending on how many tickets were being sold. There was a second floor that the view would be also a good distance. The lighting and equipment used was astounding, it lit up the show well and it helped hype up the audience. I mean, overall, it is a great venue (indoor) to hold such events.
Great venue from top to bottom. You can walk around and enjoy the show at different angles. Been coming for years and its reputation still stands as one of the best stages in Hollywood. The security was so angry all the time yelling like a drill sergeant telling people where to go and throwing their hands as if to threaten them. Thanks for the boot camp at a dance show.
I would give zero stars if I could. Encountered the rudest staff member I’ve quite literally ever met who threatened to throw (not throw away, THROW) my boyfriends drink because he wasn’t wearing a wristband even though he is 21 and showed valid ID. She was extremely disrespectful and called him a “delinquent” even though he is of legal age. I am never ever coming here again. Hire better staff please.
First trip ever to this venue. Metric was headlining. I thoroughly enjoyed the layout and intimacy it offers. The acoustics are great too - if youre into its importance in experiencing a concert. The drinks are a bit pricey, so I recommend bringing your savings with you. The staff was hilarious and super awesome. Cant wait to go back for the next show!
Venue seemed cool, nice vibes, went for a comedy show & the only bad thing was the chairs being too close to each other, felt like the person to my left was practically on top of me.
Second time going to where my stuff gets stolen. This has never happened at any other venue for me. First time was two years ago.
We attended the Macklemore Concert at Hollywood Palladium in October 2023 and we quite enjoyed this venue. It is small enough that there isn’t really a bad “seat” in the place. The sound system was fantastic and overall it was just a really great experience all around. We would definitely travel to see artists here again!
Fantastic smallish venue with great ambiance and sound. Bought dedicated seats in the balcony which was well worth the extra dollars over standing on the floor. Amazing views and intimate feel. Decent drink and food options and definitely event expensive, but on par for other similar venues. Did not check out the parking options as I took an Uber there, but understand there is onsite parking. Cant wait to go back for another show.
Horrible experience. $50 for 2 cocktails. All artists have openers they never mention and take over 2 hours to come out. The workers have rude attitudes and I was just uncomfortable the whole time and payed wayyyyy to much for tickets and drinks for the experience I had. After 3 concerts I’m ready to never come again.
Cool venue. Large open space. It is two stories. The top floor has an outside smoking area and it has seating but only for VIP. If you smoke make sure you have an unopened pack of cigarettes or you wont be able to bring them in. But security sucks so you can probably sneak it by them. $20 beers $5 for water.
Here is a 420 review. We flew from ATL to LAX to see The Internet and Moonchild. Its right off Hollywood and sunset so we walked. Easy to get to. There was a short line. We tucked our tree in our shoe and in my purse. Security check was short and sweet. Metal detectors of course but they dont touch your items. Inside is huge. I didnt think it would be that big. They have a smoking section at the top on the left, its an outside area with free seats (benches) for smoking. Yes, you can smoke tree outside. Inside, if you smoke before the main act when the lights are on, they will put you out. Once Syd came on, I absolutely love her!, EVERYONE sparked up. We danced in a cloud of smoke. We werent even in a crowd so security couldve thrown us out but no one cared. So, yes, you can smoke in here, but wait until the main act. Try to leave on the last song so you wont get caught in traffic. Parking was between 10 and 20 dollars. Good luck my smokers!!!
I had a great time here for a concert featuring Tobi Lou, and Supa Dupa Kyle. The location was the great spot in Hollywood for their last stop on their tour. The place was big enough for it to be filled but not too crowded. I loved the accoustics in the venue,it wasnt too loud or too muffled by the size. The parking around the venue was as expected,I had to pay for parking,as there is only 2hr street parking around the venue. I hope to come back for another concert here.
Nice venue! Its not huge but they have a lot of bars so they dont overcrowd. The restrooms were large enough and I liked how they let you know of theyre occupied. We saw Of Monsters and Men tonight. It was an awesome show! The sound, lighting and floor space was great! You can also find street parking in the area to save money.
Nicely updated over the past 10 years or so but still hard to get a good view from the floor unless youre tall or right up front.
Great venue, not too overcrowded. Stage visible from all places
Visited the Hollywood Palladium twice in the past couple of months. Saw Portugal the Man on 7/29/17 and Milky Chance on 9/22/17. Both concerts were fantastic and both were packed, Milky Chance was Sold Out!TICKETS & SEATING. We bought both concerts through Ticketmaster & each ticket was approx $35.00. Both concerts were General Admission tickets as the venue is 90% standing area only. However, the Milky Chance concert had a LiveNation VIP area that had seating in on the east upper balcony, but it cost an additional $30, and seats arent guaranteed.SECURITY was pretty quick to go through and they are very thorough. A friend of my had an e-cigarette pen and they wouldnt let her bring it in.VENUE is pretty large with a main floor and two balconies. Of course the balconies fill up very fast so youd have to be one of the first to enter when the doors open. Most likely youll end up standing on the main level with the rest of us. If youre short youll want to try and squeeze your way up closer to the stage so you can get a view, otherwise you may end up surrounded by several of taller people obstructing your view.SMOKING is allowed only on the outdoor patio which accessible through the west upper level balcony.DRINKS. There are several bars throughout the venue and theres typically a vet short wait if any. They also have a couple cocktail waitresses walking around the main floor taking and delivering drink orders. Drinks are EXPENSIVE! For 2 double drinks (2 shots in each) it cost approx $48.00 total, before tip.FOOD - not sure if they sell any inside. I didnt see any place to order food nor did I see anyone eating. But there are many hotdog vendors just outside the parking lot and those hot dogs are DELICIOUS!They also have an area selling fan merchandise.PARKING around here can be difficult and may be expensive depending on when and where since youre in the middle of Hollywood. I would recommend taking LYFT or UBER if you live nearby.Have fun!
Would give it one star but at least the staff is friendly. Another venue gouging the fans for parking. Ticket was $45 and parking was $50! At least put some lights in the unsafe feeling parking lot. It’s also cash only so they happily point you to an atm with another high fee. Old venues like this need to make significant upgrades if they want to justify the premiums they charge the fans. I’ll stick to shows outside LA.
Crazy venue best bands and the best experiences. Nothing beats Hollywood and when it comes to entertainment the Palladium takes the cake. Whether your seeing Deadmau5 or Distillers only the best play at the Hollywood Palladium. Every ticket is a great view and sound is great. The crowds are cool and maximize the show so just go!
Though the crowd looks huge, it is an intimate setting to watch your favorite group perform. Ive seen 2 groups and a DJ perform here. I love this place. Ive been down in the crowd where moshes happen and Ive been up in the VIP where I got a table to watch Green Day perform. Everywhere is a great view. The only complaint I have is the VIP parking. The sign wasnt totally clear but it doesnt deserve a negative star imo.
Ive only been a couple times, but the employees there are very helpful. My 21+ wristband was too tight and I got very friendly assistance with getting a new one. The bar worked through their lines quickly too. The mixed drinks are definitely a little pricey, but they give you a decent sized drink in comparison to a venue like Exchange LA.
Even though the line to get pass security seemed long, we got in fairly quick. Be prepared for sticky dance floors and $19+ beer/drinks. Altogether it was a fun night. And parking across the street was $30
Was there for bikini kill last night and they venue is nice. But the staff that work there are not. They confiscated my trail mix ($8) but wouldnt let me keep it even though I was forced to check my backpack. I understand checking backpacks for a crowded show, but I was escorted to coat check by a rude security guard. Coach check didnt give me my change, its $4 cash to check a bag. They also charge $2 cash for ear plugs and you cant bring in reusable water bottles. Earplugs should be complimentary like smaller venues. And Id like to see this venue doing something about letting people reduce plastic waste instead of forcing people to create more. Will not be going to a show here again unless they change this. If your going to charge for everything at least be nice to your patrons. But then theres the fact that their security is racist and didnt even let their performers use the restroom and then tried to call the cops on one of them for being forced to urinate in public. This is not an establishment that my money will go to again. Shame on you Hollywood Palladium!
Came here to see Babymetal and overall I was pleased with the venue. I had no issues with the security at all. I felt like they were very organized and were doing their job. The one interaction we had with security where they needed us to move was very cordial. Our view was just ok; we did manage to find a spot higher up so that we could at least see the performers. If you are not in the very front on the floor you will have a hard time seeing them at all (if you are short) due to the floor and the stage. Agree with everyone if there was tiered standing room that would be better. Or they either need gradually elevated floors or a higher stage. The drinks were ridiculous though, even for a concert venue. I think we paid almost 50dollars for a wine and a beer. All in all though we had a good experience there and if there was another band going there that I liked I would visit again, though Id have to stake out a good spot to stand early.
Easy to get in, tons of general admission with great views. Ive never been to a venue with super funny/nice staff, but literally everyone was? From the people moving everyone through the line, to the gal at the door scanning tickets, to the bartenders. All amazing people.
My main qualm with the Palladium is the sound quality. It hits you with a pulsating wall of noise, and not in a good way. I like a good loud show as much as the next gal, but I also like to be able to actually hear it and discern between notes and not have to focus quite so much on taking measures not to be deafened. The second issue I take with the Palladium is the size and capacity. Its just too big. I forgive that for arenas and bowls, but this is ostensibly a medium-sized venue, just without the semi-intimate feel that should come with it. Thirdly, the parking lot is nuts. Good luck getting past the T-shirt bootleggers and sausage sellers swarming the single narrow exit. Next, $24.50 for a beer and a shot? Like American dollars? No, thanks. And lastly, its pretty run-down. I understand when your business operates in the dark you dont really need to do the level of upkeep one might expect from other establishments, but it could still stand to be less gross and better repaired. All that being the case, if any of my favorite bands are playing the Palladium and I have no other options, Ill go. Ill just sort of solve my problems by 1) bringing earplugs, 2) getting there early to get to the front, 3) park somewhere else, 4) eat and drink before the show, and 5) stay up to date on my vaccinations and be prepared to not mind if people can see me pee through a huge gap in the bathroom stall wall.
I love this venue! The Palladium offers a nice event space for concerts, comedy shows, live podcasts, and so much more.. The interior reminds me of an old pool or something. There are a lot of stairs so it may be more challenging for any handicap guests, but I do know there are elevators inside. There are a couple outdoor balconies where there is normally a smoking section which is nice for smokers and people using vapes, as they do not allow use of those indoors. Most recently I saw Ghastly, who delivered such an amazing show. :) Cant wait until the next time I can see him live. All in all, I will def go back to see more shows there!
Opened late due to not being set up for GA to get in. They had an 8x11 sign on a fence indicating where to lign-up for GA. No handicap specific parking in their lot since the painted spots were blocking the entryway into the lot (per the parking attendant). Instead of having the bag check tables in front of the line they had them off to the side unlike any other venue/festival. Which prompts groups to wait and (still) slow line movement. For whatever reason they were doing double metal detectors for people who set the first off. So they were sent to a second layer of metal detectors that were the traditional empty your pockets and walk through. Which, again, prompts groups to wait. There was no indication beforehand about premium seating needing wristbands until you head upstairs and are turned away to then go wait in another line. According to the kind coat check attendant, they were charging 35 dollars for foam earplugs. They had remodeled the premium seating and gave you new seats in that new area, which makes sense. However, the people to our left had 3 seats but only two of their replacement seats actually existed and even though they informed the lead event staffer they werent helped and ended up sharing a chair. I moved a chair, once I knew it was empty, for them. We had a group at a table who brought people in to the area and blocked views. Not until the end third of the concert were they removed due to not having wristbands that you needed to get into the roped area. Which had a attendants. Coat check at the end of the night didnt have enough staff at first, which added an extra 25 minutes at the end of the night since it took them a bit to add more staff.Aside from all that the sound is great, Coheed had a fantastic show, venue looks nice inside, and theyre plenty of bar locations. Also the premium seats have waiters. With that I wouldnt visit again unless they get their process down and parking fixed.
Went on Jan. 29th 2017 to see Excision at Bassrush here, such a great venue. Ive attended concerts here before and any where you stand has great views of the stage, great sound quality. Drinks are pricy on event nights but worth it, good pours. Great staff, great security. Looking forward to the next show!
Its a standing general admission venue only, worth it if your favorite artist is performing here because its a first come first serve basis, so if you line up and are the first one then youre first to go in and get yourself a great viewing spot front stage! *TIP* Some websites sell tickets by row and seat numbers and raise the price way to high, but theres no seats here its ALL STANDING VIEW so dont pay hundreds for a good view, get here really early and you have yourself a great front stage view, its worth it.
So many phones were stolen last night at the waterparks show and security did nothing to help, if you come to this venue make sure to have your phone in your hand and not in your back pockets!!
One of the best venues ever. Theres no bad place to stand here and theres always tons of room even in sold out shows. Bars everywhere so you dont need to wait for a drink. If you are waiting, move to another one of their 9 bars inside. Merch is there too and coat check. They even have snacks! Bring your cash. Theres always bacon wrapped hotdogs out front of every show.
Cool little venue, but if youre going to a sold out show I recommend buying a seat upstairs, the main floor can get seriously crowded! Most of the staff was really cool but there was one particularly rude lady security guard upstairs the night we were there. Love that they have many bar options upstairs and downstairs, really helps with the lines.
Telling customers show time is one hour earlier than it actually is shows zero respect for patrons and families attending shows.
Nice venue. Its a great place! Its small enough so it feels intimate and personal. We just saw OneOkRock here and it sounded amazing and the staff is friendly and helpful. Its not my first time being here. I was happy that we were able to park at their lot.
Place has great music and security, but keep an eye out when buying drinks, make sure you dont get overcharged. I purchased one drink and got charged $43. The machine didnt show how much I was being charged. Very disappointed on the integrity of this bartender.
Small venue. Kind of a mess getting through security, it was like a low budget TSA check. Balcony seats look really bad, but bouncers were relatively slow to removing problem people in general section, so worth it if youre short, fragile, or dont mind distance and looking through the suspended speakers.
Love the old ballroom vibe of the palladium! Definitely a gem in Hollywood.
DO NOT pay for VIP. Its the same line and the balcony seats are very far from stage. Paying the extra $$ only to stand behind platinum seats who paid more money and consistently standing or getting drinks and food. You will get a much better view in GAVery unorganized when the line up is long
Terribly uncomfortable place down in the lobby, one fan fainted. The staff was friendly tho.
Awesome venue! The sound and light design was fantastic. Had a blast with the three bands I saw tonight.
Vini vici show was amazing I truly have no words to explain. Simply breathtaking. The palladium as a venue is beautiful. The only issue is the bathrooms after a while the steps going to the bathrooms get wet and slippery. Ive slipped there twice. The staff are friendly and the parking is great .
Venue is awesome, does not disappoint. My favorite concert to this day was here. The venue is large but also feels intimate and very connected to the stage/performance.
This is the worst venue I have ever seen in my life and Ive been here twice so I know it wasnt a fluke now. I used to run Hollywood movie premieres a few blocks away. If I could give the palladium no stars I would. They have a lot of rules and no official website, which is incredibly unprofessional as a baseline. The rules and guidelines that can be found in various unofficial places online are inconsistent with one another and not even the same as the rules their psychotic (yes it was that bad) security were enforcing. The staff were all rude and the acoustics in the hall were horrifically designed so that literally no one in the hall could hear the band when they stopped playing to talk because four drunk people (same 4 every time) would go and laugh and scream with the bartender whenever the music stopped. It was a cashless venue which it seemed no one knew until they were inside. The security at the door and inside took that nice comfy idea at least it is safe and they instead made a hostile uncomfortable environment where you felt harassed. The woman at one of the bag checks was on a power trip throwing away clear plastic water bottles, opening glasses cases and wallet folds, and checking peoples keys to see if they were too sharp and turning people away for that, she thought she was TSA and actually didnt know what people could or could not have. I watched her get shut down by two of her managers as she tried to turn a girl away for a disassembled vape she had in her wallet. She made such a big deal over that girls vape that no one even searched her properly after the whole thing she just walked in. After that while inside the venue if you looked around you would see tons of security in every direction but still a woman was walking around the crowd leaning over peoples shoulders into their personal space without a mask to see what they had in their hands. The venue allowed our lighsticks by some miracle but because were savage animals we were not allowed to assemble it like we did at the wiltern. I just saw this exact same group at the wiltern last summer its overall a better venue with a better staff and a functioning website ( they even answer emails) and I hope my artist never goes back to the palladium. If they do Im not going.
This is a pretty nice music venue. Decent size, plenty of bars and restrooms. It was way larger inside than I expected so it didnt feel too crowded during the show. The show I saw was standing room only. They have two smallish VIP style balcony areas with chairs and tables to each side of the stage where Im guessing the tickets are more expensive. They also had a small ADA seating area. The drinks were good but pricey ($16 for a margarita, $9 for a beer). They also have a snack bar by the front doors with simple snacks like pretzels and popcorn, etc. The Ladies bathrooms are large and clean and have little indicators on the stall doors that say if theyre occupied or not. The sound and show lighting during the show were pretty decent. They do use some haze and strobe effects (with a warning sign at the entrance) but they were not excessive. Overall, I had a good time there and I think you will too.
Yet another small venue for a great experience. I recently saw the return of the Distillers. My first show there since the renovations. Sound is still great, I dont know what some of the other reviewers are talking about. Much like the Henry Fonda Theatre a few blocks away this venue is General Admission and the floor section is open to anyone who wants to rock out hard. Ive never been to the balcony area but the place is small so I have to assume that every seat is a great one. There are several bars but the brews are pretty expensive. One tall can of Shock Top cost me $17 and I had to chug down some of the it before leaving the bar because the cups do not hold the entire contents. Not complaining but how about just getting appropriately sized cups? None the less, this should be on the top list of venues to see a concert at. Next up is Nine Inch Nails in December. I cant wait
This place is so run down and dusty. If you like being close to the stage pay general standing and get there early and if early entry tickets are available, that would be your ticket of choice. VIP Balcony is not worth it, I would only recommend it if you want to be far from the crowd and dont mind being far from the stage.
I was having horrible tooth pain and they made me throw away my medicine and my chapstick. There is no place to check items and guards are completely unapologetic about the policy. I’m not coming back here ever again because of this policy.
Ordered a Liquid Death water for $5.48 at the bar and paid with credit card since they dont take cash. Charged $23.00 on my credit card. Got ripped off. They dont give you a receipt after you pay either. All it says on machine is how much of tip to leave. Bad paying system. What happened to taking good old cash? At least with cash you know what youre paying at the time of transaction.
Hollywood eyes remind me nails like so young so far for 5 years old and when I grow up I just want to go to Hollywood now cuz its fun we see all the rappers and singers hip hop back I love it its the best Hollywood ever but when I get ground Im going Delta 10 years old but when I grow up Im going to be 30 40 or 19 or 60 is this ages and ages go by ages and when you die you like a hundred 100 years old stop it is off of me today I just love Hollywood and you should know this because its coming from but in my heart I cant cry over Hollywood I dont go to hell about killing myself love a Hollywood and Nicki Minaj and cardi B versus its going to be I know whos going to be Im not going to say it Nicki Minaj Nicki Minajs is Sagittarius so coarse and cardi B is a Libra Libra no but she said shes a Libra game is good cuz Nicki Minaj shes at the Sagittarius and mom my mom is a Sagittarius too so yeah I know I know cuz Im just seeing what yall are good as rappers ever but in fighting I know Nicki Minaj going to win cardi B is going to lose because she all about that life as a stripper people got something in common
Good sized venue - not too large, but certainly not too small. Fairly clean and good acoustics. General Admission with a VIP section (do not expect assigned seating.) You can find parking in nearby streets for free. Easy to locate venue, but main entrance in on the side (Argyle Street.) Roscoes is nearby, too.
Been coming here for many many years and never had a complaint. However the new security they have is ruining the entire experience. There’s literally no need to walk around screaming at people and shining flashlights directly into their faces. Please train these 21 year old female security guards to stop behaving like children and treat people with respect. This is such a black eye on the Palladium’s reputation.
Great venue for live music. Your standing the whole time but theyve remodeled and the sound is fantastic, it looks modern, and its such a fun place for a show. The beers are WAAY overpriced ($16 for a medium size cup) so drink before and youll save yourself big time!
I saw kai wachi here yesterday it was awesome!
Not enough room and it was too crowded people where fainting and pushing each other. It was hard to get out and also the people who faintied was hard to get medical attention . But its a nice venue but its just small not a lot of air conditioning tho
This venue is beautiful inside! But I wish I would’ve seen this in a review.. General admission is NOT for short people unless you are super close to the front. I am 5’ 1” and wore heels and unfortunately could not see anything on the stage. A bit disappointing, so plan accordingly if you’re fun size! I would definitely grab balcony seating or be one of the first people in gen ad, to ensure a front row spot.
Great venue for concerts. Plenty of space in and outside the venue for easy entry and exit. The stage is not huge, but makes for a more intimate experience. The bars are spread out and there usually isnt a long wait to get a drink. Parking is not the easiest in this neighborhood, but there are a few paid parking lots - and its pretty close to a red line Metro Station.
Great venue to see bands but be prepared to stand and get their early to get a spot by the stage. The staff is really cool and its run super efficient with security check. Also, plan your parking ahead of time. We parked at the lot at 24 Hour Fitness - was just two blocks and at a reasonable price.
Went to Netflix is a joke absolute most unorganized event Ive ever been to. Seating was a mess, they oversold tickets and moved people all over the place, started 45min late. venue was cool and comedians were funny but I wouldnt do it again knowing what I know now
A pretty good music hall but seating is, well, modest. I got tired pretty quickly even though I was really enjoying the music. You could upgrade tour seats but they punish you with the cost...I almost had to take out a mortgage to afford it for my pops to sit for 2 hours. Nice views throughout the venue. Beera were very cold and grossly overpriced, third mortgage.
You misrepresent VIP BAL tickets at a higher price than the General Admission as if they are really VIP. However, the view of the show is blocked and it’s standing room only. You are better off buying General Admission tickets. I am a disabled veteran I purchased the tickets so I could enjoy the show and not be in pain. Had I known that I would have to stand and not be able to see the show I would not have even come! Flogging Molly is my favorite band, but this is not a venue I will recommend to my fellow Veterans! Ruined my St. Patty’s day and wasted my money!
Im a photographer and this is one of my favorite venues to work at. Great space! The auditorium (and bathrooms) kind of make you feel like youre at a high school in the 70s, but thats part of the charm. Good sound. Big artists love the intimate space and smaller ones love the big crowd! Overall, awesome historic place for concerts. A must-go for anyone in L.A.
Great area for a venue, paid parking structures within walking distance as well as the metro. This place can get packed it honestly just depends on whos playing. They do a lot of great events here from concerts, show casting, roast and other random events. Celebrities do frequent here. On the roof they usually have a bar and its not the beat view but the fresh air helps. They do tend to serve their drinks stiff and at a reasonable price.
Really nice venue! workers were super nice, threw water bottles to the crowd since outside bottles werent allowed. went to see cavetown tonight. super easy to find the building itself and everything inside!
I recently went to see Palaye Royale for their last show for the Fever Dream Tour. I had paid for VIP balcony, and my experience with VIP had been positive, until I experienced it at the Hollywood Palladium. So how its set up is that you stand behind a barricade because its standing only, and there are seats/booths in front for those who paid for them. You would think that if you purchased a seat, youd sit. This wasnt the case for a producer or some rich guy who bought the whole section in front of us for his friends. Half the time they were standing, and it was frustrating for myself and my boyfriend. To reference, I am 5 feet so I can only do so much and I thought I got good view. When it was time for Palaye to play, I could see them for the most part but then this chick decided to stand the whole time. I waved down security to ask them to tell them to sit and she said that they are allowed to stand because thats their seat. Literally the girl in front of us and her bf were standing BECAUSE THERE WASNT ANY SPACE TO SIT. I gave the lady a face like are you serious and she just shrugged and walked off like she couldnt have just told them to sit or stand in the back like the rest of us. Note to the Palladium, make it a policy that if you purchase SEATS to SIT throughout the whole show, just like those in general admission and VIP balcony have to STAND because thats the kind of tickets were paid for. No one wants their view obscured the whole time. It really wasnt worth almost $70 bucks for the experience of a-holes not giving a damn about those behind them. It was packed btw, so if youre asking why I didnt just move, thats why. If you go to a rock concert at the Palladium, do general $25 because youre more likely to have a good time. Also, acoustics were borderline terrible. It was so screechy and not clear.
Really nice concert hall, plenty of room for crowds to stand and see the stage at all angles, and an upstairs balcony for those wishing to stay out of any pits or even sit down. Sound has been loud, clear, and projects throughout the room. Bars in multiple spots so you never have to wander far or through huge lines to get your drinks.
Great venue with great sound and acoustics. Get here early so you can get to the front to see your favourite band. There IS a balcony area surrounding the stage as well. Choose what you will! Drinks are a bit pricey though.
This venue is great for those who can stand throughout the whole show. Nice space for mosh pits and a good size, not too big or small. However, they should try to locate better setup for ADA. The staff dont handle entry into the venue well. The ADA section doesnt allow you to see most of the stage from some of the seating area.
Loved this venue! Came here to see Cosmic Gate a few weeks ago, and as popular as the DJ is, it wasnt packed at all. You dont get pushed around and there is plenty of space to walk around. They even have an upstairs area if you want to go up and sit. The stage is nice and they have space for some really nice light shows. I had a good experience here and would definitely come back.
Went for an event for high school students, and it was great!
GET SOME DAMN A.C in here!!! Been here so many times and it’s always so nasty hot! Rating 3 stars bc I get a good view of the concerts each time :)
Obviously, the drinks are super expensive. But it’s a huge venue with a cool vibe, I really enjoyed a concert here.If you can be comfortable in them, wear heels. I don’t know why but I had a harder time seeing at this concert than I ever have anywhere else.
Had a blast there :) restroom were clean and well kept.Getting inside was fast and easy. Not sure why they made the girls go in a separate line but maybe thats just to be nice.Curious if the speakers are the same for every show or not though.
Best venue around.. small and intimate and not a bad spot in the house. Warning if you need handicapp seating arrive early it fills up fast. Sound is great inside. Few things to eat and several bars throughout the place. Soda is expensive at $5 a can (yes I said can, and not tall ones like the beer). Remember majoirty of tickets are general admission meaning standing room only. Upstairs has seats but I believe those cost quite a bit more. There are a few tables (no chairs) outside of general admission if you get there early enough you can grab and leave your drink on while you listen to whatever amazing artist is performing. While it doesnt hold a lot of people, it holds enough to enjoy the performer and not find a bad spot as anywhere. Makes you feel like you scored with amazing tickets. When you can see the artist(s) clearly from anywhere it is a plus. No need for binoculars or viewing devices. Did I say I really like this place? 😁
Great venue, I have been going to shows here since 92 and have always had an amazing experience!🙂
So as you can see theres no seating, unless youre sitting on the floor. The standing on the ramp way was inconsistent rules with security. If you wanted to sit upstairs they sold tickets inside for an additional $100, which was way too much for this concert. The concert wasnt even worth $100 and was aimed for towards a tween crowd, so $100 for a chair was outrageous. The staff was very professional and courteous.
Cool venue. Standing room only but the sound was great. A good concert experience. The bathrooms and concessions were of no concern (no wait times was nice). Definitely a good place to see a show!
Been seeing shows here for over 25 years, still one of the best small venues in L.A. The sound is amazing the venue is not super cramped even when completely sold out and if youre into it they will still allow pits and crowd surfing at metal and punk shows. Security is super stringent getting in. If you have a bottle opener you like, you may want to take it off your keychain before going in.Fun fact, this is the venue for the inside shots of the Minnie the Moocher scene from The Blues Brothers.
The VIP balcony seats were not worth it for the concert I attended. The screen / stage were obstructed by a speaker. Also, they sectioned off half of the VIP balcony for a very small group, pushing the rest of us to a cramped area to the side of the stage. The audio was good but really bad line of sight to see the stage. Better off getting GA for any concerts here!
Came here for a local punk rock show. The venue is great, lots of space and has air condition. The AC can be felt. Entrance is fast and speedy, while security is kinda loose on patting you down. Its not very vigorous. Only complaint are the bar tender prices. A simple water/soda is 4$ dollars PLUS a mandatory tip. I was poured a ginger ale with ice. Other than that, its a great venue for live music. 9/10
Loved the theatre and great event. I went for the Outlander premiere. The theater was beautiful inside decorated with bushes and flowers and it smelled like outdoors. They handed out free popcorn and drinks which was nice. it was hard for all the people on stage to hear the other people talk which was the only downside but overall really great theater
Love the Palladium. Just big enough to catch great bands, but small enough to feel intimate, not like an arena.Fantastic sound system, easy to see from anywhere. Staff does a great job at getting you in quickly.Drinks are typical venue prices, as expected. More than you want to pay, but not enough to keep you from drinking.
Parking is easy for being a Hollywood venue, but the view is rubbish from both the general admission floor and the VIP upstairs balcony. The interior architecture was seemingly designed for the benefit of only tall people; if your height is anything close to my girlfriends (52), you wont see much of the stage unless you stand at the perfect distance at an early time, forcing yourself to endure every moment of the mediocre opening acts, and possibly being uncomfortable during the headliner because you were unable to step aside for a bathroom break and a beverage. I rate this place a maximum of three stars only because the acoustics and PA system are adequate.
