Went for a Jesse McCartney concert, everyone was super nice and able to help us. The upstairs womans restroom has three stalls, so wait can be long at times, so now you may be out a little longer than expected. This place was amazing for concerts!! The seats on the mezzanine are elevated so its easy to see even if further back ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
First time at this venue the wait to enter wasnt too bad the security and workers seemed very organized there were multiple bars all across the restrooms were clean and beautiful mirrors inside 😍 the theater itself is beautiful price of alcohol is pretty pricey but the drinks are good enough that its worth it
I had a great time at the Wiltern when I went to see the Yes concert. The entrance line was smooth and did not take long at all. The main lobby area is gorgeous with lovely colored lighting and many bars if you are into that. The main hall is spacious but you can see the stage well from any seat in there. The only gripe I had with the hall was the seats which were frankly kind of uncomfortable probably because of their age. If you are looking to go to a concert here I guarantee you will have a good time
This is a review of the VIP Lounge for the 7pm Ali Wong show...Access to lounge from parking: 5 stars.Friendly bartender: 5 stars.Value for what I paid for light bites negative stars! They were literally boxed treats from the Ralphs next door! Looked like a classroom pot luck! See pics! And if you want hot offerings, you need to buy them.I have been to other VIP lounges, like at the Toyota Arena and the Pantages... Where the light bites were at least varied... Sandwiches, chips, chicken wings... All bites was included... And you shouldnt have some included items and some you need to pay for. It was messy and I did not find the value for the money.Plus, the later show got better snacks... Brownies and other things that didnt look like they came directly out of the market... Couldnt take a Pic because we were told to leave😡
Built in 1931 for the purpose of performing plays, and stands out for its entrance decorated with Art Deco-style tiles and its ceiling interior that symbolizes sunlight. The stage, which has been converted into a live stage, hosts a variety of performances throughout the year, making it the center of Los Angeles performing arts scene.I attended a performance Timeless Romance by Richard Clayderman, a world-renowned French pianist.
Gorgeous architecture!!! I will definitely go here again. Parking was easy to find just be prepared to pay 30 bucks... not bad if you want to avoid looking. The theater had great sound with no echos. They let us in promptly on time and even had a merchandise line on the side of the building after you enter. Drinks were good and staff was helpful. I had a great time here.
I want to give 0 if I can. It was the worst theater experience in LA in my past eight years. Im not sure if the staff there did not like Asian people or people who go there alone. I was interrupted by a staff in the middle of the show because he thought there should be four empty seats in my area. How could he walk through two spectators and three empty seats and then ask to check my ticket directly? Even after checking my ticket, the staff was still telling me that there should be four empty seats and asking me to move instead of checking the ticket from another side🙄I was so upset. I felt like he didnt believe my ticket was real. I dont know why Im being discriminated against. Is it because I’m the only Asian face on the first floor, or I’m the only one to buy one seat there? How does he determine the two people on the other side have two real tickets without asking? I didnt argue with him continuously because I didnt want to miss any more performances or affect someone elses viewing experience. But the truth is he ruined it for me. I spent the rest of the half laughing and feeling sad (because it was a comedy show).
I feel sorry for the performers that have to put up with the lousy sound system. We went to the Wiltern May 14,24 to see Marcus King perform. We were on the floor about 50 feet from the stage (2nd section away from stage) with 1-2 people between us and the front wall divider. We could see well and we could hear, how muddled the sound was. About 3/4 the way into the performance (to add insult to injury) there was a crunching sound thru the PA, that sounded like a loose connection of wires and it sounded like someone was trying to remedy the situation because it started to change and sound better, then worse. This went on for 5 minutes and finally it went away. How old is the sounds system? Have other people complained? Inquiring minds want to know.Service attendants and bartenders were kind and helpful with their part of the show. It’s a concert venue, let’s upgrade the sounds system Wiltern! Thanks for reading < SB
Thank you for the wonderful experience of your theater last night with Everclear and The Pink Spiders. It’s beautiful with the preserved art deco from the 30’s Your staff was over the top with customer service, security, waiters, the aisle people every employee. In 45 yrs of going to concerts, never seen a waitress up at the barricade area. Or being able to leave my spot to use the restroom 3 times!I flew in from Phoenix. It’s the most wonderful place to see a show.I’d fly back to see another show there.
Been seeing shows at this venue since 2007 and have always had an amazing time. Easy access paid parking next to the venue, clean bathrooms, decently priced drinks and great acoustics. Saw Powerwolf last week and got the VIP section. Best part about VIP was how you aren’t squished in with everyone else and have access to a bartender. All of the staff there is really friendly and helpful.
The Art Deco architecture here is outstanding. It truly is a historical gem us Angelinos have in our city. Came here for a concert and entrance/security was easy, parking is recommended elsewhere than their own parking garage (cheaper and less congested to exit) and theres plenty of bars and snack stations available on the lower and upper floors. The theater acoustics are awesome but I will say the upper seating is a bit uncomfortable after a while. I would return here for another show, or at least to stare at the architecture.
Really cool art deco architecure and the interior was the nicest ive seen for a concert venue. General admission is several tiers so everyone is able to see the stage. The interior is what really struck me as most venues in Toronto do not have interiors as cool as this venue. Felt like I was in Bioshock.
Beautiful art deco place! Recently watched Stephen Sanchez there and had a great time. Parking lot right next to the venue was pricey—about $37 for Friday event parking. Next time, Id take a ride share instead.
My favorite smaller, more intimate venue in the LA area! Ive been there for concerts and comedy shows. Be warned that the drinks and snacks are pricey, but theyre not above the norm for LA, so it is what it is. It is cashless, so bring a card for any payments you plan to make. My only complaint is that the VIP experiences are somewhat disorganized.
Out of all the venues Ive been to, this has been the worst by far. The least of your troubles here is the fact that the seats are so close together that you will NOT be able to squeeze through if you enter the venue late. (People will also take your seat if youre late and the staff will do nothing to help you.)Any food or drinks here are insanely expensive, and I say this after spending an upwards of 600 dollars to be here. Even after paying so much, the security will treat you like garbage.A very tall and large staff member became very passive aggressive with me because I brought a banner with me. (Note that there is a prohibited items list on the website; at the time I am writing this, banners and flags are not on that list.) This same staff member got so close to me that it seemed like he wanted to fight with me, a 50 disabled woman. I did nothing to challenge or provoke him, I didnt talk back despite the insults he kept throwing my way; the show had already started and I simply wanted to go inside but his condescending tirade continued. He seemed determined to ruin my night simply because he had the power to.The performers I was there to see (Oneus) outdid themselves, so that staff member did not accomplish his goal :)
My husband and I saw Buckethead last night and had a great time. From the VIP parking, the entrance, being guided to the smoking area and our seats. All the staff that we bumped into were extremely helpful. The seats were a bit uncomfortable but bearable. Overall, a great experience.
If you love the vintage theaters, then this is one place to see a show. Multi deck standing only floor tiers and seating in the balcony. Bathrooms are located on the lower level and plenty of bar options there. There was two downstairs, two large ones on the main lobby and two inside the theater. Sound and lights were good
Amazing venue for music. Great acoustics and the ornate designs throughout made it a beautiful experience. However, the plumbing in womens restroom on the bottom floor had stopped working. The floors were flooded and women had to use stalls without flushing. Staff were stationed with a mop to try to clean up the mess as it was happening.
Iconic theater in LA but their fame has gone to their heads. $35 for parking when other venues of the same quality have $10-$15 parking, $10 waters when other venues have them for free or $5, etc… and made even worse by staff that clearly don’t enjoy their jobs. The theater itself has a great design with five tiered sections to stand and a balcony on top.The sound is also subpar compared to many of the other concert halls around.
Amazing Venue. Been to many all over the world and this one is unique. Its multiple floors...but as a wise man once told me : w Multiple Floors comes Multiple bars. So if you like a saucy drink than this place will not dissappoint. As far as the venue itself...it feels both large and small and I enjoyed the heck out of the show May 4th !!
A classic concert venue dating back to 1931. The way seats are structured here, the balcony seats are actually good seats both as far as audio and seeing whats going on onstage. Beautiful Art Deco details, lovingly restored. Just dont buy drinks or snacks here...way overpriced. This is why I knocked off a star. Prices are extortionate.
Super cool venue. Classic art deco theater with tons of room, it never felt overwhelmingly crowded at any point throughout the night. Multiple bars on every level and easily accessible bathrooms made everything run smooth. Not a bad seat in the house either, great view of the stage even from the cheap seats!
Ive been here for a number of concerts over the years, and its a great venue to see live music - its big enough for popular artists, but small enough that there isnt a bad seat in the house. Even the Loge seats feel close enough to the action that youre not missing out. The acoustics are great - but you might want to bring some hearing protection for some of the louder acts.
A wonderful show with Chris Botti. He has so many talented artists performing with him! Delightful show with only two complaints, both related to the venue. (1) the sound balance was quite off at the beginning, where Chris was totally overpowering his violinist and pianist (thankfully corrected after about 15 minutes), and (2) the Mezzanine seating is very uncomfortable if you are tall. My knees were jammed into the seat jn front of me. Though it is an old art-deco theatre and I admit the sight lines from the mezzanine were quite good.
I went to see Chris Botti and Sting showed and sang 2 songs it was amazing!! The Wiltern was beautiful inside and well kept. The staff was so nice and polite from Security to the Bar Staff!! I could have met Chris Botti but I took long in the bathroom, lol. Im Eddie G The Truck Driver 🚚 and I came back to visit my son who lives here and is in the music industry and see a few concerts. I highly recommend The Wiltern!!
For my first time at the Wiltern, I was very impressed with their Covid protocol, ensuring everyone was either vaccinated or had proof of a negative test. The best thing about this visit was that I got to see 3 incredible bands, The Red Pears, Wild Nothing and Beach Fossils. This concert was incredible even from the mezzanine and you were clearly able to see the stage and the sound acoustics made the concert even that much better.
Good vibes!! Had a wonderful time at The Wiltern seeing Foster the People! Felt safe. Covid guidelines were safe enough but not over done, so many of us were vaccinated. Everyone was having a good time, security, the band and the audience. Great alcohol and food options, love the Liquid Death being sold for water instead of plastic bottles! Thanks to everyone who helped to put on an amazing show!
It’s a service to Los Angelan and outright to the modern human’s cultural heritage at large that this classic Art Deco palatial theatre, in its highly well preserved state, continues to flourish both in appearance and now timeless functionality - continuing to host excellent and popular musicians.Rare is it that LA has these theaters standing in such good condition, the majority of its cultural architectural heritage (and thus of the greater occidental world) has been demolished, virtually lost. Here then is an opportunity to step into another time, a full exposure, with artistic motifs and exquisite design every which way, its a space of considerable inspiration, and thats at the moment you step before it, hardly yet inside the majesty of it, and definitely long before you hear the first bar of your favorite song on its stage.
Experienced cixs rebel tour here. parking is insanely difficult and the lines were very disorganized despite it being a relatively small show. the staff actually under the wiltern were very polite. i purchased one of the vip entrance/bar packages and it was a waste of money as we were allowed in at the same time everyone else was (when it states we would be let in 2-3 hours later). it was truly a shame considering it was a general admission show. what was worth it was the vip table service which was $120 per person, but something i would purchase again. it came with direct paths to the bathroom, table service and an amazing view. beats being in a sweaty pit, as much as i enjoy it. the waitress was very nice and the prices of the food werent terrible in comparison to other venues. we had three redbulls, two slices of pizza and a pretzel for around $40 without tip.
A stunningly beautiful venue. Classic art deco that everyone in southern California must go to at least once. We had general admission tickets and the process was very straight forward. Parking is typically expensive but easy to find and nice that its in a structure. Its a nice medium sized venue that has great sound resonance and is gorgeous.
I love this venue because no matter where you stand, you have an excellent view of the stage. Sound is good and stsff is friendly. DI gave it four stars because the drinks are waaaaay overpriced. Whiskey is $25 and I oaid $24 for four water bottles and two sodas. It does have a coat check and two bathrooms, but for a venue this big, it could use more.
The place itself is beautifulThe staff inside was really niceThe concert was great, Great vibe, like that it’s a small venue.Drinks are overpriced, and not great, But maybe it’s to keep people from drinking so much,Which isn’t bad.Parking attendants are rude and bossy considering I paid 32Dollars.The area around is sketchy so I did love they had good security going in and out.
The Theater is nice, the main restrooms are downstairs. The only misleading part is that the floor level seats are not tiered and are just chairs placed next to each other with no arm bar, so your view can be obstructed. It can be uncomfortable if youre sitting next to a larger person since you gave nothing to separate you and the person sitting next you.
Great location, easy to get to from the 10 freeway, although the 10 is a difficult freeway. Parking is right next to Wiltern and was $25 for the Sabaton event.Theres a lot nearby, restaurants and bars included, and all in walking distance.Inside is very nice with an elegant bar. We sat in the mezzanine and had a great view! Acoustics are nice in their auditorium, the entire show had great sound!
The band ONEUS was amazing, but the black extremely tall manager threatening to burn our flag and the morbidly overweight hispanic doorman laughing at us telling they were gonna not let it touch the ground while burning it was completely inappropriate & disturbing.Other women employees there were very pleasant but these 2 men overshadowed months of saving for the experience. When we got to our disabled seating we could not sit because they were letting a huge service dog of a fat woman lay down across three chairs. These people should not have a job abusing customers. The people shooting up heroin in MacArthur park were more civilized than them. Missed 20% of show due to being harassed due to incompetent staff!
The Wiltern is as beautiful a music venue can be, both in its sound and aesthetics. Built in the early 1930s, it has stood the test of time and continues to marvel in contemporary times. Ive seen so many shows at the Wiltern, it never gets old and you will be taken back to a time when things were simple, yet feels so new. I recently saw Elbow there, and they sounded amazing, and all because of amazing people who have kept it alive and captivating for all who enter its doors.
Its another of the many classic beautiful theaters we are lucky to have in Los Angeles. They share much in common. Sound is best on the floor, and better toward the center. Balcony suffers. Bathrooms are always too few in these old theatres, especially if you drink beer! One thing they do well at the Wiltern is the bars. There are numerous bars and the wait in line is minimal. Food is nothing, so eat before you come. The time showing on your ticket is when the doors open so save the wait in the long line that goes down the block and come 45 minutes later.
The Hozier concert had a line that went around the garage and it still didnt take long for us to get in once doors opened. When we got there, we were directed by staff without having to ask, and once inside, lines were neatly organized with ticket scanners followed by directions on which floor to use to most easily find our seats. The bar staff was friendly and quick, and we left impressed with the customer service and efficiency of everyone who works there. Gorgeous concert venue too.
This place is super nice and all the staff was extremely helpful and super nice. I came to L.A to see Ciara Work a stage for her beauty Marks album tour 9/17. I left my tickets all the way back home in vegas. But the staff was extremely enthusiastic in helping me get my tickets and VIP Parking pass. I was extremely mad at myself for leaving the tickets but the friendly staff help me all the way to the end..This place is very classic place. And the food service for the V.I.P Ticket holders was very good.
It is absolutely beautiful there. A couple of friends and I went to see The Dirty Heads and it was amazing. I was admiring how beautiful the architecture and design of the layout and floor plant was. The building was nice inside and it was clean and kept up. The staff were all very friendly and it was nice chatting with them. I really enjoyed the pasta they served to the guest who bought a pass. The servers were generous with the food. I really like that the bathrooms were constantly checked and cleaned up. It was nice not slipping on water trails while heading out. The couple pictures are from the concert and how far away I was from the stage in the standing area.
Located in Koreatown this beautiful historic hotel has 1920s art deco style inside, Moorish revival architecture on the outside. Stayed here overnight since it was within walking distance to The Wiltern theater where we went to see a concert. Valet parking is available across the street, front desk staff is very friendly and complimentary wine was offered in the lobby at 6pm.
My first time here. Came for a Michael Jackson tribute, by a Brasilian guy..... He was Amazing!Took the Metro here, as I heard of the horrors of parking. The line is long to get in, and it is to the back of the theater. This is due to Covid protocols. Through Goldstar, we had orchestra seats, but were pushed up to the balcony. I dont like sitting in balconies, but was great here. The seats were lumpy at certain ones. The theater is classic and semi intimate. Staff was cordial. Restrooms and bar service, non issues.Would return!
Got stomped on in GA for Say Anyrhing. Traveled quite the distance to come see them. I won’t be doing that again. Maybe it’s my fault and I should have been ready for a mosh pit or less ready I’m not sure what would have kept my body off the ground next time I’ll just stay home.
Such an awesome venue. Me and some friends went to see The Power Of Food for the kickoff of the LA Food Bowl. Tasty food prepared by 3 different cooking schools and a fun panel that included Jose Andres, Zooey Deschanel, Ron Finley and a few others made up most of the night. The seats in the upper sections were just as good if not better than the floor seating for an event like this. The Wiltern proved to be a great experience!
Just like I remember from my previous trip there. There wasnt any hassle with getting in and finding your seats, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Food/drinks are very expensive with small portions, so I would avoid that. Seating can be a little cramped. I would still absolutely love to go again.
Of LAs venues, the Wiltern is really just okay. Decent size, but layout is pretty bad with railings and walkways cluttering the space, not many good viewing angles especially for shorter folks, no balcony, and the worst part, always, always oversold and way too crowded.
THE WILTERN THEATRELos Angeles Historic Cultural Monument (LAHCM) #118 and Art Deco-Style Movie PalaceBuilt in 1931 and named for its location at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard + Western Avenue. Art Deco architectural style.I had often seen The Wiltern while driving past the theatre on Wilshire Blvd or Western Ave. It looked like a run-down old theatre to me, probably playing very old movies from back in the day. Then one day I finally got a chance to go inside and discovered this GORGEOUS ART DECO PALACE inside!! =O
I recently attended a show there, and the staff was very beautiful and helpful. They had great attitudes. Im disabled and they did everything in their power to make me feel welcome. Offered me a great place so I wouldnt have to go up the stairs, but I did go ahead and do that but even at that they made sure I made it to my seat safely...I will be attending more shows there in the future!
The iconic Wiltern will completely dazzle you with their interior, comparative of old style, classic, upscale Hollywood. Absolutely gorgeous! The staff is extremely helpful and seem happy to be there! The shows are nothing but quality and I had the privilege of seeing this genius performance featured on the marquee, and am looking forward to a return trip! Thanks all! A great place for great fun!!! 💙
This theater violated a lot of my rights. They asked for a prescription (for meds for my RA), and when I refused to show it. The meds were foreign, but they said for all meds there should be your name on the bottle or prescription. This is so wrong! Then they asked me to check in my meds (for a fee). I did not want to stay in line (waited for 10 min without any movement), plus pay for 2 meds to be checked in. Formal complain is coming. 04/20.
Went to see Govt Mule perform and listen to Matt Abts seductive drumming. Just have to give ushers Laurie and Leo a round of applause because they were SO accommodating - and with genuine smiles!Yarelis (their supervisor) was smashing as well.2 thumbs up!!
The venue is beautiful but the sound (or acoustics) leaves a lot to be desired. Depending on what youre looking for, beware of the $15 beers. If you want to order a less expensive amount, you better tell the bartender the size before the beer brand or they will serve you the biggest option by default. Before you know it, that beer is served!
Went to see Govt Mule yesterday. We were on the Mezzanine section. The steps leading to our seats were so dark I almost tripped twice. The people surrounding us were ok for the most part. We had two people front of us standing most of the time. We could deal with that, however, what was really annoying was that people around lit up joints. One guy a had a vape and others lit joints! Im not a prude but, Where was security?!!
Came and saw Kreator and Sabaton on a Friday night. Parking was relatively easy, located in between The Wiltern and Ralphs. Venue itself is very cool. Art deco architecture and plenty of room to walk around before the concert itself started. During the concert itself we sat in the balcony and had a great view with excellent acoustics. Would definitely return. 🤘
Amazing experience, Switchfoot put on a hell of a show and couldnt have been better service. As far as venues go, its on the bigger side of mid size venues. Acoustics were amazing. Its just big enough where a good lighting guy can make the show, but Muse would have a hard time putting on all of their visual show that theyre known for.A perfect 7/5
Great Venue! This is one of those venues that doesnt really have a bad seat in the house. Ive been on the terrace and mezzanine for a HIM and Gazette concert, respectively, and I had a great view of the stage. The other thing I like is that there are many busses that drive by the area. Which is helpful if you commute using public transportation, as I do.The decor of the venue is beautiful. Drinks are pretty expensive though. I personally stop by the liquor store a block away from the venue.
The exterior of the building attracts a lot due to the classic aesthetic. Once inside, its a bit decadent. The acoustics are not the worst, but what was horrible was to spend 5 hours of concerts sat in the seats, which were not only uncomfortable, but the one where I was seating was so broken that the springs were coming out and you were nailed even in the deeper of your soul.
Wow. An amazing experience seeing Muse at The Wiltern. An A+ venue, from staff to the whole process of queueing, entry, everything. The theater itself is gorgeous, and the stage is super close. Special shoutout to the employee who kept checking up on us in the queue - hes a rockstar. Cant wait to see another show here someday!
Other than being located in the worst place for parking this place is a Gem! My best friend is in a wheel chair and in some venues they dont accommodate her well. Thats absolutely not the case at The Wiltern! They made our experience with ADA so awesome! We came to see the growlers and they hooked us up! She got a great view with zero hassle. They also offer cocktail and drink service on the floor level... so awesome! Especially if you dont want to give up your spot. The acoustics from the floor level were great. I will definitely be back to see other shows!
Great venue to some well known artist in a smaller venue. The sound is great and layout works well.2 stats though because the outside security honestly is one of the worst in town. I frequeo over 10 shows a month all around LA, and the Wiltern has the most aggressive and least trained security on the planet. Ive been here with my ADA service dog (who goes to every show) and they harass me and over search him every time. Its a shame the staff can create such a bad atmosphere coming in that you have to break it to enjoy the show. Go to the El Ray or another medium venue if you want to see nice acts.
Double check posted start time vs door time. Advertised everywhere was 7:00 for the concert but only in a tiny font banner on the website did it say DOORS were at 7, concert at 8, which I think is an important distinction to make since not every venue follows the same scheduling practices.Parking was pretty easy to find. Western has a no parking rule from 4pm to 7pm, so if you show up 5 minutes before 7 you can grab a spot just one block over.Hall itself is beautiful, really cool architecture.Sound quality was pretty mid, and ear plugs are required if you have any care for your hearing at all. Loud venue is one thing but it was physically painful to sit through a concert here even in the balcony. Sound coming from speakers was almost distorted and not very clean. Louder does not equal better.
Sight lines are bad unless you show up early, beer selection is mediocre and expensive. There are many better venues in LA
Beautiful venue, friendly adept staff, sound system’s amazing. GA Pit is nice but sound is above our ears. GA Standing area sounds amazing but only from rail area is good for stage views, or if you are 6’5” tall. Drinks are on the expensive but the facilities are clean and coat check for $5 is nice and convenient. Street parking is free after 6pm but sparse around the venue so ride share or use the paid parking nearby for safety. Bunch of good restaurants nearby too, especially Korean cuisine. Shows start on time, normally 1 hour after doors open.
I really wish I could give this venue zero stars. Security are a bunch of losers who couldnt spot a potential danger to concert goers if it smacked em upside the head, literally just collecting their paycheck while neglecting their duties. The pit situation over the years has just become increasingly annoying, the venue likes to force people to buy VIP for general admission then proceeds to gatekeep people from accessing areas they rightfully paid for. This is straight from the accounts of multiple people Ive come across who have attended concerts here. Im already aware of this venues shady practices and try to avoid it at all costs but everytime I decide to give it a chance im reminded why I hate the venue so much. Not to mention their insane prices for drinks as if people arent gonna tip the bartenders. Heres something to think about, how am I gonna tip your staff if your drinks cost damn near $20 for a basic well thats maybe 3 fluid ounces of liquid. Literally nothing special about this venue and I really wish performers would stop booking it. Belasco, Mayan, and even the Terragram Ballroom are all better than this place. Exploiting the legacy of a decrepit building literally doesnt justify any of the lame experiences people have here so dont let the good reviews fool you. Good luck.
Convenient location since its right across from the metro station and plenty of bus stops. Theres a coffee bean across the street too. We went to see The Lion King for the Kids Summer Series and my son had a blast which is the most important part, but the price for concessions is a little cray cray. We got 1 churro, nachos (which was pretty small..the tray was like a third full) and 2 waters and I paid $23. Either way we had a great time.
Gorgeous historic venue. Caught a show here last week and loved every minute of it. If pit tickets are available, it is absoutely worth the additional cost! We received a second wristband and were able to stand either in pit OR in general admission - its nice to have that option if feeling stuck or cramped. Friendly and efficient staff, multiple bars through the venue. 10/10 experience.
Pros:Small and intimate venueGood visibility even way back in the bleachersLots of places around the area to kill time before a showGood acousticsCons:Some balcony seats are broken (tilts down)Expensive parkingTraffic!🚨Pro tip: If parking in a lot on Wilshire and they ask if youre there for the Wiltern, say no! They will charge you more if they know youre going to a concert.
This Theater is beautiful. Great parking and delicious restaurants nearby. The Art Deco design is absolutely stunning. Inside the beautiful theater are fully stocked bars and snack stands. Grab a drink and fresh popped popcorn or a warm churro and enjoy the show. This is one of the last great theaters.
If I could give ZERO stars, I would. But since you cannot, one will have to do. The architecture, I will give FIVE stars to. The security personnel were on a power trip, but they didnt know what they were doing, they would give us conflicting information, or if you asked them, they didnt know, and then they would ignore you. The lack of communication was astounding. I have never seen this much chaos before. They had lines FOR lines that went nowhere, there were three doors to get in the venue, but only one line to get to said doors, so there were people trying to rush the line. There was a short security guard, I dont remember his name, but he had a severe Napoleon complex. Oh and did I mention that Security is about as useless as a bag of hammers? There was a fight behind me, and there were several of us trying to get the attention of the security person, who was oblivious to the fight. We were waving them down like they we were trying to hail a cab. It only took about 10 minutes to get the whole situation under control. I was so excited to be going to my first concert at such a historic venue in LA, but sadly it will be my last.
Love this theater. Not too big and reeks of history
One of the most beautiful venues youll ever go to. I highly recommend you upgrade to the Underground Lounge prior to the show to avoid lines. And they typically have table upgrades in the front for $25-$125, worth it!!!
Gorgeous venue and sounded great. Security guards were extremely pushy and started shoving everyone away literally 2 minutes after the show ended. They also kept following me around when I was looking for my friends since we got separated halfway through the show.
Attending Birdys concert at The Wiltern was overshadowed by a slow entrance process and a frustrating bag check experience. The venue lacked ADA accessibility, posing challenges for differently-abled individuals. Additionally, the General Admission policy seemed confusing and poorly managed. Despite these drawbacks, Birdys performance was exceptional, but improvements in venue logistics are necessary for a more enjoyable overall experience.
Beautiful venue, dont think there is a bad seat in the house. Multiple bars make it easy to get a drink and snacks, food in the area and parking was easy.
Im surprised I havent reviewed The Wiltern until now since it is one of my favorite LA venues. I have seen my share of live acts here such as Pendulum, Skillet, Sevendust, Alter Bridge, The Pretty Reckless, and Metric. Great atmosphere, great sound system, and great shows!
Terrible and I mean TERRIBLE sound at this venue. Wanna know why? Because it was originally a theatre, not a concert venue. This place was made to watch movies, not to watch a live band. The sounds are muffled and if there are any vocals, forget it. I love the architecture and location, its just the sound that I have an issue with.
Great sound! Super cool old theater with standing room seats. Everything has old school decore including the ceilings and walls. Its super easy to get in and out of even during a sold out show. I just saw Les claypool there to a packed house and was able to be on the road from the parking garage in no time!
This was the best show Ive seen in a while, the sound was perfect. The staff is always great here.My only complaint is the water. Because it comes in a can, you cant close it, which makes it less safe, and harder to dance with
My favorite venue in LA. Ive been to many shows and never had a bad experience. The staff and bartenders have always been good. No bad seats here. Love the vibe!
Another business that doesnt respect the rights of individuals. Public photography is not a crime. If you dont want to be filmed, dont stand in public
Great mid size venue for concerts. Sometimes seating and sometimes GA standing room.
