PBR Louisville A Cowboy Bar

Hands down the best Cowboy/Country bar in the area. Multiple bars inside to grab a drink at. The bartender I kept going to all night was outside on a bridge that overlooked the entire street. When asked said her name is Sabrina, she just seemed like she actually was happy to be there, which in return just made my whole groups experience better. We never had to wait for a drink outside which was nice due to the amount of high volume they had inside. I was surprised by the variety of bourbon they have as well inside at some of their bars.They have shot girls walking around all night long with syringe shots; i bought 4 at first from Josie for my friends and I. She did not have to twist my arm for a second round not too long after that! From what i can tell they offer an unforgettable VIP Experience with bottle service. i was shown the list of bottles/beer packages from their VIP host reasonable prices for a night club. They have a mechanical bull too which my first time on one!Definitely reccomend this bar to everyone looking for a good buckin time!(Pun definitely intended)

This is one of the best bars in Louisville for nightlife. Located right in 4th Street Live, this bars cowboy themed bar provides a terrific atmosphere for those that like music, dancing, and/or riding a mechanical bull.The drink prices are about what youd expect at a place like this.The security and staff are quite prevalent so its probably not best to get too far out of line, despite it being such a hype and rambunctious environment.There are a few stairs that you can go up and there are spots to sit down in chairs in more of a lounge type setting.Another cool part of this place is that they are open until 3am on weekends. Definitely a good place to go when all of the other bars are closed.Overall, this bar is definitely worth checking out if you are looking for good nightlife.

Absolutely dead in here on a Thursday night, during a convention. Band is great, but $20 cover charge, for maybe 50 people inside total including servers. Bull isnt running. Strong drinks, nice bartenders but its insane to charge a cover when youre absolutely dead.

My absolute favorite bar!! I love the music & the people there are the best. Hanna never disappoints, she is the sweetest & makes the best drinks every time I’m there! Cami, Josie, & Lydia always welcome me every time I’m there & make my time there even more enjoyable. Truly have met some of the best people there. Highly recommend this bar if you’re in town for the weekend or looking for a night out with friends. The staff there is amazing and always makes sure you have a great time. The buckle bunnies are great especially Josie and Lydia. Hanna and Curtis are my go to bartenders. They’re fabulous but they are all great. The security keeps everything in line. Definitely my go to bar if your in Louisville and would highly recommend!

I live in Florida, but currently on a business trip to the beautiful city of Louisville, Kentucky.I was able to convince some colleagues to come to PBR Cowboy Bar.I love the music, the mechanical bull is awesome, the vibe is just awesome and they play country music, so thats a win for me.Chris was my waitress, and she was simply fantastic.A smile goes a long way.Hopefully the next time Im here, Chris will be my waitress again, shes truly a great young woman.Friendly cheerful and great to talk to.When youre visiting a new city for the first time, I cant stress how much a friendly person can make all the difference in the world.I would definitely go back to PBR, because I like the music, the drinks are great, the mechanical bull was awesome, and Chris my waitress was perfect.

Customer service can be lacking in this day. Great customer service is not unnoticed. Cami is an excellent server. Always with a smile on her face. She makes you feel very welcomed. She is quick to serve everyone and always remembers a face and their order. Great attribute to the team.

Pbr is the best experience in town! The buckle bunnies are always nice. My two favorite girls are Josie and Lydia.. best believe they will always help with making sure you have the best experience while visiting. And if you want a good bartender go see Hannah! ❤️

Was in not too long ago. Great time! All the buckle bunnies really showed that “Southern hospitality” off - but Kaylie, Lydia, and Josie are especially great. Will be back next time I’m in town. Loved the free mechanical bull rides and cold drinks.

Great place and atmosphere for a good time out. The buckle bunny’s are cool too one in particular Josie or “Jo Jo baggins” is the best. She’s very friendly and sometimes can be funny. They carry around these buckets with shots in them and she some how can convince a wall to buy them, i know i do but that’s a story for rehab to find out. Anyways good place to drink and socialize 100/10.

What a great venue! Very intimate and comfortable. Sounds great, but imo could use some better lighting when they have bands. Everything else was top notch.

I come to this bar often, I have never received anything other than phenomenal service. I would absolutely recommend this bar to anyone living in the surrounding area or just visiting. I come to this bar often! Lydia is always smiling and genuinely so sweet. She is always willing to get us on her on her guest list, even last minute and we return the favor in helping her clean out her bucket! Lol always a fun night out, can’t recommend more.

PBR Louisville is a great bar to attend when at Fourth Street Live. They have a good mixture of music, great drinks, line dancing, and a mechanical bull. They have concerts that perform at the bar as well. I recommend Sabrina as your bartender when you attend. She is very knowledgable of how to make drinks. If you are just unsure of what to get as a drink, she can has some good recommendations for that.

I was lucky enough to have Josie and Lydia serve myself and my group I came with. They were absolutely great and made sure I was never thirsty or bored. The vibes were immaculate and I will definitely be back. 10/10 5/5 stars

Ive been to pbr a couple times now and lemme tell you what, that red headed girl Alexa is the sweetest nicest person. Ive seen her crushing it while working the front. Ive seen her throwing down dance moves on the floor. Ive seen her ride that bull like noones business…though i still think im the best at riding the bull. What im getting at is this girl is good at what she does and deserves the world, i mean a raise, like more money on the hour

Me and my boyfriend went here on Saturday night and the bartenders were great especially the guy who was working at the bar closest to the bathroom however, the girl that was running the bull line told my boyfriend if he cash apped her 20 he could cut the whole line which was pretty long but I told him no we will just wait so she had a attitude because she wasn’t getting 20 out of him. We go to the back of the line and we’re waiting for probably a hour and it finally is hes turn to get on and she says she’s shutting it down and wouldn’t let him ride. I just feel like that’s ridiculous all because he wouldn’t cash app he to ride a FREE bull

Very rude staff, the girls were hateful and were yelling at patrons all night over things that couldnt be helped, they treated guests as if they didnt want thier business. If you are that unhappy with you job, maybe you should find a new one. Im not understanding why they would run off paying customers with thier negativity and bad behavior. Also, standing areas with counter space was disgusting, staff acted like they could not be bother to do clean ups when needed.. do not recommend PBR Louisville.

The show we saw was amazing, no complaints there!! However the staff seemed distracted and just lacked personable attributes. The security guard however was able to answer questions so thanks to him!!

Girlfriend and I have been coming here for over a year once or twice a month all the way from Indy . We absolutely love this place .We most recently came down for NYE and it was the best time ever . Our favorite staffer is Lydia as she goes above and beyond to make sure the whole experience is wonderful . We have rented the private booths prior which I highly recommend if want to be treated like royalty and have the best seat on the dance floor.5 stars all day long and will continue to go back and once again make sure to always ask for Lydia !!!!

Entry $20 but when you use card they add 20% so paid $24.. not sure what thats about. Ordered a drink at bar and waited for it for a while to then ask bartender about my drink and she said she forgot because she went to restroom and then proceeded to say why I didnt ask the other bartender..

Went here for my Bachelor Party this past Friday night, 8/11 and had a wonderful time! With there being 8 people in our group we decided to rent a VIP booth for the night, and it was well worth it! Kaylee was our server and she was awesome, also the manager we worked with was also great, (I forgot her name) we felt welcomed the whole night. We had a great view of the dance floor and the bull making the night that much better. The music and the vibes the whole night were great. Would definitely come here again. Thank you PBR Louisville!

Meh, there are much better places to go around Louisville like Howl at the Moon or the karaoke spot on 3rd street. The girls look like they don’t want to work there, sitting on their phones and counters ignoring you. You have to practically ask them to do their job and then they’ll make your drink wrong. Music was not great either, consistently switching genres song to song. Bathrooms smell like cat piss and 1-2 poor cleaning ladies try to run around the place keeping it clean because the bartenders won’t lift a finger to help.

Great place to be at. I only buy my shots off one girl there named Alexa. She’s great! She always in a great mood and always dances with me and my friends while she feeds us shots !

Visited PBR while I was downtown. Josie gave us ensured we were taken care of and made sure we had everything we needed while we were there.

LOVE this bar! Not a huge country girl (ironic) but the food and service is unmatched. I sat at the bar and was immediately met by the bartender, Tatiana. Super sweet girl, helped me pick out some drinks to try, (I just turned 21) and always made sure my glass was full, and my drink was cold. I will definitely be back to see Tatiana again.

Visiting town.I was thrown off for the 1st hr due to all the country music and bachelorette parties. But DJ varied things a little, and throw music with a beat every once in a while.Friendly atmosphere. Met quite a few people, and had a little fun with a couple ladies. Nothing wild.Will repeat in the future.

Wasn’t a bad place had a good time but took a little bit to get it going. Drinks are a little pricey and depends on who is pouring as to how they taste.

Wanted bottle service. Had been 3 times before and had bottle service. Was 400 first time, 600 the next 2 times. This particular night they wanted 800. Lol. For 5 people. I said no. It was already 12:45 am. Told her I’d go 600. She said no. The table sat empty the rest of the night n they never sold it. And don’t mind the girls at the front door letting who they want to in without paying cover..when I questioned, she was rude as hell. I read on here other reviews about door girl. U would think someone would take notice…sure the owners would love that. Place is fun. But this last time not so much.

I had a really fun time here. No cover charge. I love that its indoor/outdoor. Mechanical bull, fun music to dance to. But, the floors in the upstairs patio had a couple wet spots and were VERY slippery. My friend kept slipping on it, and instead of cleaning it up, the security told him to finish his beer and leave. Someone came around to wipe it up once, but no caution sign.

Had fun last Saturday with the wife and friends. Was worried a bit about the music being only country but was happy to hear variety, atmosphere was awesome and the balcony was a great place to relax and people watch. Look forward to coming out again this Saturday.

Our 2nd favorite place to hang out when at 4th Street Live. The atmosphere is usually great and who doesnt like giving the mechanical bull a try! Drink prices for what you get are probably the best out of any of the 4th Street Establishments! Start off here for the drinks and head downstairs to Howl at the Moon for the late night atmosphere!

Nice place, but the music seems to be about 50/50 country music and electronic dance music. Nobody really wants to country dance. I’m a Texas transplant, and it’s quite the disappointing difference. Might be a cultural difference, but it doesn’t seem very country to me other than the mechanical bull. I’ll give it a couple more visits to see how it goes though.

Ever since I accidentally stumbled upon their Baltimore location, I try to make it a point to visit different PBRs while traveling. The Louisville location although appears to be a tad smaller, it sports an open-garage door concept. The service and music quality certainly doesnt disappoint and of course the bull is always a great touch. The two times Ive visited this location, I have been served by the same girl i believe her name is Brooke or Brooklyn ( but that could be her bar name) but she was pretty attentive and efficient which I appreciate. Im a GnT guy through and through but I came with friends and we all got a round (or 3) of one of her custom shots and they were actually pretty good. All in all its a new must-stop when in Louisville for me. As for dress code, typical bar causal is fine..but why wouldnt you wear boots...dont be weird.

Was brought here by a fantastic friend of mine a few nights ago. I had an absolute BLAST. Everyone was super friendly! I felt at ease with proper security on a Saturday night, and completely safe for a small girl like me, despite the place being PACKED. Had a great time, and loved the $5 shots! ❤️ 10/10 I can’t wait to plan my birthday here!

Had a great night at PBR after the Billy Currington contest. Got to see my favorite buckle bunny Leah. Shes my go to when shes got the shot buckets. Rode the bull for the first time after Leah convinced me to ride it. Only took 8 trips to PBR for me to finally ride the bull. Drinks were mixed perfectly, wasnt overly crowded and music was spot on.

Had a awesome time, bar tenders were great. Aubree, Kennedy, Maddie, and Samantha were great and attentive. They have a mechanical bull and I got to ride it. They also give military free cover and even a gift cards on first Fridays. They also had a moment of silence given to those who gave their lives in defense of our nation. I recommend to anyone.

Worst bar Ive ever been to. Trashy. Over priced drinks (6.85 for a beer). Terrible acoustics. Disgusting bathrooms. Ignorant patrons. Mitchell Tenpenny put on a great show, but the patrons ruined it.Bar is too small for a good view of the show for most people & patrons talk through most of it so you can barely hear artists when they speak.When they play music that isnt live, they never play the entire song.Save your money & find a show elsewhere.

The bar itself is okay. The music is really loud, but that is expected, the atmosphere is a party. My low rating is based on the girl at the front collecting the cover charge. She was EXTREMELY rude to the people in line ahead of me, my party, and the people behind me. Frankly she was a b****

Just celebrated a bachelor party here and had a fantastic time. The VIP booths are reasonably priced, management is fantastic, the service was great, and the party was awesome! This will always be my my favorite bar and a place I have to go to anytime I visit Louisville!

$5 cover charge no were to sit in the bar except outside on the patio. The bull was not working. Its just meh.

Went there a few days ago. The bar had a good atmosphere and was fun. Although I was thrown off that it was a country bar with NO ONE line dancing except for only 2 songs while I was there (copperhead road, and fake Id) this does not include the typical dances like the cha cha slide. There were several bar dances where the bartenders would hop onto the bar and dance. And there was no place for a line dancer to find space to dance (trust me I tried all night). But I can not thank the staff enough for how welcoming and sweet they were! My group left me while I was in the bathroom and a random man twice my age made very uncomfortable gestures to me and tried to grind on me and was visibly upset when I tried to walk away from him. The ladies at the bar were attentive and noticed the whole thing and made sure I was ok after the encounter. I can not sing praises of those girls loud enough. They were so sweet. Would I go back? Yeah if I was at 4th st again, but as a line dancer it wasn’t what you’d expect with a country bar. It would’ve been nice to see more line dancing.

$15 cover charge is too much when there is no band just a dj. Watching people ride the bull is entertaining:) More of a younger vibe. Plays other music genres outside of country. Has spots you can reserve for parties.

Amazing customer service!!Had a really go time here the other night. Our Bartender Brooke was very attentive, quick with the drinks and the cash out, and just an over all friendly and outgoing person! Made my night!!

Two words: MECHANICAL BULL. Im a Jersey suburbs girl, but I think a hometown country girl at heart. Cannot resist a mechanical bull, and this place had free rides. So much fun, with people of all ages, sizes, and colors hopping on and the crowd cheering on everyone. Theres a dancefloor where mostly country played with occasional dabs of hip hop and alt rock. It was a really great time. The staff were friendly, as was the crowd, and we had a blast. We spent most of our one night in Louisville here and have no regrets.

Its definitely a cowboy bar. Decent drink specials for the Mardi Gras festival but its a bit to loud for any conversation and the hormones flying around that place are palpable.The women dancing the synchronized set during the last set really seemed like they had better places to be 🤷🏼‍♀️This is a great spot for some people Im sure, just not for me.Yall come back now, ya hear?

7/24/21! The guys and gals were an absolute blast to watch. Special shout out to the beautiful blonde Miss Trinity! Shes amazing with everyone riding the bull and keeps the crowd engaged and entertained. They Sure showed this 42 y/o mamma a good time! Fun fun fun!!

The wife and I go to PBR every Saturday for the last 3 months and this time was a little different we met the bartender Curtis and man was he on his game. We got everything we needed and was amazing, fast and on time.. they need more of him around.. and another person id like to point out is the amazing Leah shes Soo friendly and makes sure you have a smile on your face. I had an incredible time, the theme is mostly country but they played a wide variety of music. The staff is amazing and even though there was a lot of people they were able to pull it off and treat everyone quick with some great drinks, kudos to all! Thanks!

The staff is very lively and energetic, they even take over the dance floor occasionally for some cool line dances. The DJ is awesome and continuously had an awesome mix of songs. Definitely will be going back on my next trip to town.

Riding the bull was fun. Dj played good music. Brooke behind the bar was super fast and took good care of me. Will definitely go back again.

Friday night was a bust here. Honestly, a how to tax filing seminar would have been more entertaining. All bartenders on their phones and annoyed when you ask for a drink. And girl giving the hand stamps is sitting on the table clipping her nails. Obviously there is no real management here that cares.

Terrible, the security officer was annoyed that she had to check IDs at the door. The bartender was decent but the music was terrible, the atmosphere was awkward as so many areas were blocked off so there was hardly anywhere to sit. The mechanical bull was roped off. Super lame place.

What a disappointing way to welcome myself to Louisville..I moved here within the month & went to a Halloween party at Bluegrass Brewery 10/29.Myself and my coworkers walked here around 1am. I told the 2 young ladies at the front door it was my birthday after checking my ID. Asked if they could waive my entrance fee which was comical to them (I thought they were genuinely joking with me) in which I thought was honestly reasonable.After paying the cover, I had to beg for my change on my 20$ bill which seemed UNREASONABLE to the 2 young ladies. Once I was inside, I kid you not, 2 young men escorted me out within 60 seconds.Honestly made me want to cry writing this. I was embarrassed in front of what friends I have down here on a rainy, dreary, slow & miserable night. Thanks.I’d love a response

Service was fantastic but the bartenders were freezing behind the bar and management wouldn’t close the doors for them. Pretty frustrating the management wouldn’t do anything to look out for the girls bartending. It was 30 degrees you could see your breath in the bar for Pete sake

Stayed in town for a few weeks. Met a whole lot of bartenders in that short time. Brooke was by far the best. 10/10 go see if you want an amazing experience in Louisville.

Last night I had the pleasure of stopping by for a few drinks with friends and was greeted with the friendliest smile from the bartender Brooke. Not only was Brooke friendly, she seemed to truly enjoy being there on top of making top notch drinks. If you go to PBR, definitely look for Brooke!

Dalton the bull mechanic was definitely the best part about the night. Service was fast and the bartender had a great attitude.

I usually don’t post reviews but the service at PBR is terrible. On 3 separate occasions I have been cheated when ordering a drink. Recently I Ordered a red bull vodka they put no vodka in my drink. I take it to the bartender to fix the red bull no vodka beverage she then pours me a shot of vodka & tries to charge me 7.50 when I tell her never mind I don’t want the shot she called security to try to get me kicked out by saying I ordered a shot but never paid for it. I never took the shot or was even handed the shot. This is the 3rd separate occasion I’ve been cheated on my drink. Security is very rude, unreasonable by cutting me off from ordering any more drinks. Very antagonizing blowing up an issue when there didn’t need to be one. Almost as if they walk around looking for confrontation. Poorly trained staff as a whole. Again, this has been a frequent problem!

Great atmosphere!! Lots of fun. Such a courteous staff who can also dance. We closed it down and I happened to drop my clutch on the way out. I live in Nashville so I was concerned when I discovered I lost it. No worries. They found it an overnighted it back at their expense!! Great service!! I will be back!

Stopped by there last year with a group while in town for business, had a great time. Contacted the Bar about VIP seating and bottle service for our visit to Louisville this year, they contacted me with information within 2 hours. Very impressed! Will definitely be visiting again this year VIP or not.

Had a great time in this bar. The mechanical bull is a blast. The lovely Buckle Bunnies will keep your drinks full and keep you entertained with their seductive dancing. Drinks are a little on the higher side but worth it for the entertainment. This is a must stop if you are in town.

Bachelorettes look elsewhere. Every staff we encountered on 4th st was rude. But PBR took the cake. Staff was combative and management was rude as hell. Thanks for ruining a would be fun night

If you’ve never been here, the female staff dance in chaps that expose their bloomers. I imagine a lot of the men really enjoy this aspect, but most of the dancing girls appeared miserable. Outside of that, the western theme is a lot of fun and the mechanical bull was a hit with all the members of my party!

Brooke was the best bartender tonight! It was my first time back in years and I had a blast. Will definitely be returning soon with the whole crew

Was having a great time until I got on the bar to dance and they freaked out on me yelling even the girls dancing up there as if I took their dancing power from them. They yelled at me like I was starting a fire little did they realize I was with my dance moves. They only let girls dance on the bar or bartenders. If your a guy you can forget about dancing on the bar here.

Love this place and their awesome bartenders. Maddie made us amazing drinks all night and made sure everyone was having a good time! Would recommend this place and if Maddie’s working ask her about the blue drink!!

Only 1 issue! Everything including service and atmosphere was great, BUT I rode the mechanical bull and woke up with huge bruises on my inner thighs. I thought maybe it was just the way I rode it, but other girls I talked with the next day also had bruises. I have riden bulls at other places and have never experienced that.

Had a blast! It’shard to find a place to dance in Louisville and it looks like those people are finding PBR! People were two-stepping all over the place and the bartenders are amazing, especially Tamyra! Looking forward to next weekend!

Great birthday celebration. Me and my guest got in free. I also got a free T-shirt, $25 gift card and rode a mechanical bull.

This is my 3rd time there. 4 stars coz of the maintenance. It was raining and there was so much water at the entrance. Otherwise, this is one of the best places to party over the weekend. They have a variety of cocktails and the price is not so expensive.

Great place. A little packed the night we were there, but met some great people. Rode the bull and had a nice time. Need to come back when its warm out.

Normally I dont write reviews but Im just lost for words at the bouncer situation. After being cleared to enter by two separate bouncers, I realized I didnt have cash for cover so I started to leave. Then I got stopped by a third bouncer who demanded my ID when I was trying to leave? Bending it and questioning it all over and when I asked him why the big deal, he said youre on my property. Guy, you make $15/hour here as an employee, its not your property. And what are you gonna do, kick me out? Im trying to leave. Get rid of this dude sheesh, what a power tripping douche

Easily the worst bar on 4th street. Sadly, the options for alternatives down there are dwindling.Most of the seating is rEsErVeD fOr ViP and roped off. Pretty buji for a good ol country bar, if you ask me. The bartenders are all pretty rude, which goes great with the overpriced beers.No specialty drinks or anything advertised, either.

This is a fun place. I just wish that there was some place to sit down that you didnt have to buy in advance. Lots of empty seats, you just arent allowed to sit there unless you buy 500 dollars in drinks.

Was worried that my friend had drank too much at PBR. Didn’t have the $10 cash to get in. Offered a credit card and was told cash only. Was told I could wait by the door only to be asked to leave shortly later by security. They had a LOUISVILLE police officer escort me out! Holy cow, I was just standing there causing no trouble and not in the way. If anything happens pbr and officer 7056 should be held responsible.

Fun bar in the area. Dance floor is fun when the DJ is good, watching people riding the bull is a riot as well. Will return on my next visit.

We ordered a Shock Top they poured a 16 oz bottle into a cup. Once we sat down and started drinking I realized there was lipstick still on the cup my husband was drinking from. I wanted to vomit.
