Our bartender Scott was AWESOME! One of my friends gave him creative liberty to make a drink of his choice. It was a blueberry lemon drop martini. Delicious! It was the drink for all of us for the rest of the night. The music was great. Crowd is friendly. Shuffleboard is upstairs. I highly recommend it!

Can’t believe they allow smoking outside on the street next to a local restaurant…. Takes away from the downtown Matthews experience. It’s a bar, shouldn’t be a smoke lounge.

If you get the chance stop by here and get the old fashioned. Great drinks and get vibes!!!!!

TERRIBLE. Wouldn’t recommend this place to any friend or a family member. Owner is mentally unstable. Happy go lucky talking hundred miles an hour one minute and next visit acts as if he is depressed and angry. Takes his problems out on good people. We locals here in Matthews have learned to stay out of this establishment. To Risky.

Stumptown has the best service in Matthews! I would like to give a shout out to Bernice, who took the the time to know me and what I like! They have an amazing staff whether it be your first time or if you are a regular. It is definitely a place to try while In Matthews.

Great feel with this small bar. Feels very comfy. We did not get any food. The drinks that were made for us were almost undrinkable. The Mojitos we got tasted like straight rum. No mint flavor whats so ever. Noticed the mint was just thrown in there without being muddled.

Absolutely outstanding cocktails. Couple that with amazing bartenders and you get a wonderful evening out. Highly recommended. Pictured are the Sazerac and Old Fashioned.

The atmosphere was ok, albeit a bit loud for my taste in a specialty cocktail bar of this kind, though I didnt knock the place for that because thats more to do with my expectations than a fault of the location. The upstairs area was nice, although a bit cramped, and did offer chairs and a couch that were comfortable. I was slightly disappointed with their specialty Old Fashioned. It wasnt bad, but when a bar like this boasts a custom take on a classic I expect a bit more pop than I got. My companion had a cinnamon and whiskey cocktail that I thought was better than mine and quite good, but not to the level of blowing me away. Overall not a bad experience by any stretch, but wouldnt be my first choice if Im looking to spend an evening mingling or chatting over craft cocktails.

Nice bar in the heart of Matthews. We come here every Wednesday and crush Trivia Night on the reg. My boy Andy is like Rainman with the facts so check yourself before you wreck yourself. Update: We still crushing it.

Love coming here for drinks on any day of the week. The atmosphere is great. All the bartenders are amazing! Bernice is so sweet.

Love Stumptown Station!! My favorite place to go in downtown Matthews! Not only do they have the best cocktails in Charlotte but the best owners and bartenders as well! Genuinely feels like I’m hanging out with family every time I’m around. I feel safe and comfortable going by myself or with friends. Ladies, I promise you will be taken care of if there are any problematic people (which is very rare!). There are so many events (from trivia, comedy shows, tastings, and live music every weekend!!) An awesome spot for any occasion and great place to make new friends! A home away from home for friends and myself!! Love these guys!!

Good small town bar. Its a smaller space with a good feel. First time in and I could tell there were many regular in there. Everyone felt like friends. Upstairs was nice and more private area. We will come back more often.

I’m conflicted on this review, so I’ll try to explain. This is my local bar, it has a decent atmosphere, it’s a smaller location, so can become very loud when live music is played.If you want a speciality cocktail it’s not a bad spot, old fashioned is around $15. My biggest complaint with Stumptown is the price for a beer. Miller Lite draft is $6.50 and Yuengling is $7. So as an FYI this is not the place to go for some beers, as it’ll be very costly!! Real shame as this used to be the spot for me and my neighbors to grab some beers and hangout.

Fun bartenders (especially Scott) and great cocktails. Shuffleboard league, trivia, bands, comedy shows - so much to love about the place!

Enjoyed Stumptown Cocktails on a slower weeknight. Tiffany was a great bartender, friendly, nice to speak with! Wasnt our first time here, but was our first time back since bars were able to reopen. We will definitely be coming here more often. Good selection of cocktails, domestic beers, some craft beers etc.

I love this place I have been going here since I turned 21, great drinks, fun times, and good pricing. Last night they had trivia night which was fun to listen to, and they have shuffleboard upstairs

If you are in the Matthews area you HAVE to check out Stumptown. The service is outstanding and there was a fun live band playing Friday night while we were there. The bartender was great and super friendly. I didn’t absolutely love my drink and one of the owners was quick to make me a new drink that blew me away. I cannot express enough that this is a comfortable and fun environment with drinks to entice every type of drinker. I cannot wait to come back! (Wednesday trivia and half off wine bottles I’m looking at you)

We entered right when they opened today. The bartenders were very friendly and extremely helpful. They answered all our questions and my drink, the Matthews Market Mule was just what I wanted on this hot humid day.Lots of seating, a cozy atmosphere, phenomenal staff and a delectable drink menu. Apparently they also host live music on a regular basis. Ill definitely be back!

Fantastic place to hangout and grab a drink; Beer, wine and cocktails! The bartenders are super friendly and the overall atmosphere is super chill. They even have a really nice lounge upstairs that is kind of tucked away. We will definitely be back!

The best cocktail bar in matthews, these guys always use local spirits and custom local twists on favorite drinks. New cocktails coming out all the time. Dont miss their local twist on a whiskey sour! Incredible!

A very well run and notable establishment this craft cocktail club is the perfect before or after hours lounge venue. The name drew my wife and myself as the name peaked our curiosity being a craft cocktail club. Very relaxed and inviting environment with a classic touch. One of the jewels of Matthews to de-stress before or after hours.

Really, this place makes some great drinks. They served up an Old Fashioned that was one of the best around. Seriously. I am, however, deducting 1 star because the inside acoustics are horrid. Its nearly impossible to have any conversation in this place. I purchased a membership envisioning having an occasional casual meeting here, but its just not practical at all. Perhaps some sound-absorbing panels would help?

The drinks are amazing and the service is excellent! So, it was our anniversary and the restaurant we had reservations at had closed down that very day - the owner saw us looking puzzled and actually set us up down the street at Sante for dinner! Afterwards, we came by for drinks and they were delicious! Good folks doing a great job!

Logan and Josh made a dynamic and awesome team of brothers working together. Highly reccomend their awesome attitudes and fun service. Youre in for a great time with these guys working, lots of laughs and perfectly mixed drinks.

Italian Festival. A nice time, long lines for food, a small car show, 5 Italian cars, (yes, one was a ferrari!) Italian music and a great place to people watch

First time here at Stumptown tonight, and let me tell you, “I WILL BE BACK!” Kewl atmosphere, fun upper area, and the owner actually works! How often do you see that? Drinks were awesomely made, and if you’re not into that, they have a badass draft selection as well.

Added to Google maps. Nice chill, upscale place to have a mixed drink or beer. Knowledgeable & friendly bartenders. The only place focused on mixed drinks in the area. Classy and retro. Well be back!

Really love the vibe and the bartender, but not cool getting charged $6 for high life and domestic beers. That’s where I draw the line and won’t be back.

From the first time I walked in I felt right at home. Growing up in a small town in Western NY all the pubs I frequented were the ones where you could pull up a bar stool and jump right into a conversation with the bartender and the patrons..I missed that home town feel and now I have it back. Thank you Brandon and Paul! Stumptown Station...my home away from home.

This is a small, but classy spot in the heart of of Matthews. The drinks we had were delicious, and the bartenders seemed to have a sense of pride for each drink they made. My wife and I will be returning!

This is the best bar ever! It’s actually one of those places you can walk in and they learn your name. And their specialty cocktails are out of this world.

The space was nice and bartenders friendly. Cocktail was so-so. Atmosphere was so-so. The regulars at the bar drinking PBR were annoying and seemed out of place considering the vibe the place is going for.

They dont serve food, but the drinks are great and the atmosphere is awesome.
