If you fall into the hands of an old man named Gorky or something like that, beware the consequences. He says he has a lot of experience, but he doesnt really know how to cut long hair. He doesnt know how to work with long mens hairstyles at all. In addition, he is very intrusive and aggressive. Just keep in mind

It was my first visit to the The Grooming Lounge and I can honestly say that I’m more than impressed with the service I received. I think I was rather difficult in my requests for my hair and my beard but the results of my cut and trim were better than I expected. This was my first visit and a “test run” to find the right cut and style before my wedding. It turned out so well, I will return just before the ceremony to get one final trim and touch up. Pricey? Yes…but worth the cost.

As always, the service, care and attention of all of the staff at the Grooming Lounge is unparalleled. I always leave not only looking like my best self, but feeling it too!

Outstanding hair cuts in a fun location. Stylists are highly professional and courteous. Cuts are quick but with no corners cut (sorry…) only complaint would be the price for a standard cut and shampoo had gone up quite a bit. $75 feels a bit high for a men’s short hair cut even with a great result.

Exceptional haircut and service, kind staff. They are very meticulous in getting your haircut correct and you feel great after leaving. Make sure you have cash or online services to pay as they didnt take credit cards at that time. This place is pricey but exceptional 10/10

A few days ago me and my friend came to get manicures…It wasn’t all that. Came into the shop with the overpriced prices just to be greeted with a roach crawling across the floor. The barbers and stylists were looking at me funny and being that my skin is a different color. I felt at odds.. the young man at the front desk was great and caring and he felt our tension too even offered free products before we left….some of them just stared at me when I sat down like I was a freak of nature or something and being im apart of the LGBTQ community I just had to get up and leave…not sure if it’s tension going on there but I wanted no parts. Try somewhere else.

I had a very positive experience with my visit to the Grooming Lounge.I would call the Grooming Lounge a full service company and you should expect to pay for such a facility.I have longer hair I care quite a bit about and the stylist was helpful to clean up split ends, give me tips on how to care for my longer hair, and provide me with a clean and confident look.I recommend this location as one of Fairfax Countys better business as you can lose a lot of time and money with other barbers.

Theres a reason I drive thirty minutes to get my hair cut. Kaylee always does an awesome job, the staff is always so nice, and the experience is first-rate.

Heather cut my hair and did an amazing job. She took time to understand what I wanted and made sure my hair looked perfect. I normally hate getting my haircut because Im very particular and am almost always unhappy wherever I go, but this place was different. Im really glad I found this place, Ill be coming here from now on.

The grooming lounge is the only place I will ever go to get my haircut. Since I’ve been going there the last 8 months, I’ve never had better treatment, service, attention to detail and care, the best products and by far the best, expert level groomsman-ship. I’ve only gone to Choi and Mike for my haircut but all their employees go above and beyond what you expect from getting a haircut. Everyone is so friendly, they always offer you whatever you’d like to drink, the amazing, lovely woman at the front always makes my day and I love chatting with her whenever I’m done with my haircut.

Ive gone twice for beard trims. Ive never gone for a hair cut. The first time I went was fantastic. The guy who cut my beard was super helpful and was able to give a lot of tips and advice.My second trip was less than satisfactory. The lady who cut my beard took way too much length off. At least it all grows back.Atmosphere and ambience are both fantastic; though I will not be going back.

They should step up their game on customer service to match the excessive fees they charge for services like pedicures ($71). My experience today was not pleasant. The front desk person welcoming people for appointment check-ins was not friendly and very unhelpful.

I was in town for a wedding. I had not been pleased with several different mustache waxes I had purchased. I asked if they recommended any. I purchased one from their store they recommended, and its all I use now. I didnt get groomed, and the product I purchased was not specific to their store or their brand, but Im not sure how much more time and money I would have spent trying to find wax that worked for me if they didnt assist.

Haircuts arent cheap but the stylists are worth every penny. I recommend asking for Kaylee - in particular if youre ready for a style change and want some suggestions.Id also recommend buying their services in packs of 5 for cost savings.The only negative is their refusal to allow customers to put tips on credit cards. I know its a common practice, but its not very customer-friendly.

It’s exactly what I was expecting and I received all items within a reasonable amount of time. I was very pleased with my overall experience and would definitely suggest “The Best Smeller” body wash, “Super Powder” and “The Greatest Pits” to all the gentleman out there. “The Core Values Kit” is worth every cent!

Showed up for my 3:30 appointment only to find that my barber, Kaylee had called in sick. Only a very mild apology with a weak explanation that they tried to call me. I had one missed call from a number I did not recognize. No voicemail, text or email.I understand things happen but failing to notify a customer that they are canceling an appointment shows either poor organization or lack of care of their customers time.

Ive been visiting Grooming Lunge of Virginia for almost two years--first for haircuts and beard trims, and now only haircuts (because of COVID restrictions). All staff members are skilled, professional, and personable. Not only go I always get a great haircut, but I leave relaxed and feeling pampered. Highly recommended.

I’ve been hundreds of times over the last fifteen plus years. They cut my hair and my sons hair. Everyone is super nice and capable. Great haircuts, shaves, massages, waxing. Easy to get in and out of with plenty of mall parking at Tysons2, The grooming lounge is one of my favorite places to relax. Shout out to Ann, Kaylee, Christine. You guys really make it special.

I cant tell you how much I love this place. I had been looking for a place to get a haircut and pedicure for men since mine shut down during covid and this is definitely the one.

I feel ripped off. I came here for the first time yesterday for a haircut. I’m used to paying $18 for a haircut to my local barber, but decided it was time to start paying extra for a professional salon experience. My haircut cost $71, before tax.I knew the cost coming in, but figured I would give it a shot and that the experience would be dramatically better than what I get at my local barber. The thing is, it really wasn’t. At all.The haircut itself was fine. The stylist was nice enough. But it truly wasn’t any better a haircut in my local barber gives.I think what bothers me is that the overall salon experience was so underwhelming. The only difference between is that they shampooed my hair first. I actually walked out with clumps of half-inch-long hair trimmings stuck in each ear, which is much *worse* than my barber. Like my barber, they offered a shoulder massage at the end. But unlike my barber, who actually gets in there with his hands, they just ran some really loud machine over my shoulders for about 20 seconds. They didn’t offer me any refreshments or anything extra that felt like a high-end salon experience.The insult to injury came at the end when I bought a small 4-ounce tube of product that my stylist had used in my hair. They charged me almost 25 bucks for that tube. Later I googled it, and I can buy it online for eight dollars from the manufacturer. I understand the need for a business to put a markup on the products it sells (my usual barber marks up his product too), but even restaurants selling bottles of wine don’t mark them up by 3x the retail cost!Feels like I learned a very expensive lesson. I’m not soured on the salon experience, but I feel like I need to do my homework and find a better salon before I pay someone 4x as much money as my barber charges for a haircut.

Ive been going to the grooming lounge and seeing Sophie Lupe for a few years now and it is a great place for a hair cut. Ever time I visit the staff is very friendly, always greeting you with a smile and offering a beverage. The hot towel is a great addition to the experience, something I recommend. And of course the haircuts are wonderful. I definetly recommend this place for someone looking for a great haircut experience.

I think of this place as the male version of, say, Blue Mercury. The product offering, while not as trendy as some stores, consists of well-established brands, with a proven track record of delivering consistent results. Does it matter that your shampoo came from Barneys if it makes your hair look greasy? Is that $200.00 tincture of serum you dab on your skin living up to its promise? No? Bottom line, the customer service is very, very good and the shipping is incredibly fast. I cant speak to the haircuts and other shaving-related services they offer in their stores, but if theyre anything like the e-commerce side of the business, I can safely assume theyre top-notch.

I have been going to the Grooming Lounge for years. They transform a hot lather shave into an experience. No smell of bay rum. No alcohol burn! Sure, I pay a premium for the service, but my time is valuable. I make a 5:00pm appointment and I am being greeted by my barber at 5:00pm. Not once in nine years has my barber interrupted service to take a call or respond to a text.

Hero to Zero... Discovered this place through their online shop; always had great service with their online store... Went in for a few haircuts and had a nice experience with stylists who take their time, are friendly, and do a solid job.TODAY however...Booked an appointment for Friday and had to re-schedule for Saturday; I called them and had them make the change directly since you cant cancel online. Well... when I showed up, they didnt have me on there, even though I saw the change made to the online calendar. They apologize and ask if I can come back at 12:45 (30 min later) - I reluctantly wait, get seated, and they start cutting away... about 10 min into the haircut, they say I arrived early and ask me to give up the chair for the other guy who actually had an appointment... I go to the front desk confused; they claim they told be 1:45... at this point I walk out. They call me apologetic offering a free cut and ask if I can go back tomorrow. I ask who was available... they tell me theyre completely booked but theyll make it work on their end...Sorry, but pass... Im OK with spending extra for quality; Im NOT OK with being spoken to as if I am somehow to blame for their broken system... What kinda system doesnt log appointment changes!?? Anyway; went from a G.L. fanboy whom recommended far and wide; always left positive reviews/comments, to back in the hunt for a salon that treats you with dignity. Good luck gents.

Love Grooming Lounge product selection and customer service. I recently placed an order and within 7 minutes I had a shipping confirmation and tracking number. 7 minutes... kinda like they were just waiting for my order to come in. I’ll continue to use these guys for all my grooming needs.

Got a massage. Spent the entire time on my hip, saying I was really tight there, despite telling her that Id like her to focus on other areas. Once done, did a poor job of cleaning off the oil, I had to use the sheets to wipe off so that I didnt get my clothes greasy. Poor value for the cost.

I had booked an appointment for my husband a week in advance unfortunately it landed on the day of New Years Eve. I received a call on the day of the appointment 15 mins before the scheduled appointment, the girl insisting to cancel because the barber that was scheduled for him was ill. My husband was already on his way, so my only response really was youll have to discuss that with him. Me as a healthcare professional do not come up Ill and cancel my patients right before there scheduled appointments...But once my husband got there they didnt turn him away and provided excellent service my husband was so content with the outcome, hes been insisting for his next appointment. Now that was great customer service!

Janelline does an incredible job with my haircuts every single time. I’m always happy with the great level of service from the people at the front reception area as well. Definitely the best place to go for men’s haircuts in all of Northern VA. 5 stars across the board.

Sophia makes me look great! A bit expensive overall but very much worth it, especially if you take advantage of some of their gift card offerings and bulk packages. You get what you paid for.

I have had issues for years and no way to resolve them until Fresh Balls. To use talc I would need to stand on my head. Fresh Balls is easy to apply after your shower and it works well. I highly recommend Fresh Balls.

Kind of expensive, its worth it though. Sue has trimmed my beard a couple times, and does a fantastic job. Its like she is an artist and loves to do a good job. Thanks Sue

I made a same day appointment and specifically asked who would cut my hair because I didnt want the first person who did my hair there. They totally messed up and asked for another time. Not to mentioned they left me on the phone for over 10 mins twice.When I was at the shop, they scheduled the person I didnt want, not the person they said when I made the appointment. This person can only use trimmer and thinning scissor. If I want that, I can go to supercut since they do exactly the same work. During the haircut, I had to keep telling her how to deal with my hair even though I showed her the my photo with the style I like. In the end, the cashier charged me the MASTER service even I had never asked for it. This is a disappointing place.

Haircut was way shorter than I had requested, definitely not worth the steep price for common mistakes.

Well thank God for the Grooming Lounge and all of the great products. No matter what happens, at least I have that skin thing figured out.For example, I am in Texas for a conference and the protocol here is tough to get a handle on. I ordered lunch and when they brought the food I just sat and stared at it. A few minutes later the waiter came over and asked if everything was ok. I told him I thought I had to wait until they wrang a triangle and yelled “Come and get it!” He just gave me a funny look and walked away.The point is that while figuring out a foreign culture is a challenge, grooming doesn’t have to be. And thanks to our friends at the Grooming Lounge, we all have a helping hand.

Very happy with the quality of the shavers and products I purchased here, and prices are pretty good. The selection of shavers is extensive, and you can find just about everything you could want for your shaving skill level.

Packaging was great. The product smells very good. It had elements of other body washes Ive used but it does have its own unique smell as advertized. I reccomend this product

An old Highschool bud rocks it here (Sophie). Knowledgeable, artistic, and fun to talk to .They serve beer, so its a great place to chill while waiting...everyone is kind and nice overall. Gives the place a Yea this is my Barbershop Bish vibe.

Historically good..but today I came in for an appointment booked two months ago and I was rebooked to someone else without any notice..and couldn’t accommodate until the following week.

Good. A bit pricey for what it is but thats the cost of a quality cut. I did have to wait a little too long though.

Grooming lounge is not only a fantastic barbershop but its private label skin and hair products are world class. I moved from DC to NYC and I still purchase all of my products from Grooming Lounge and I wont go anywhere else.

Amazing service, detailed and communicate very well throughout the process. Usually dont pay this much, but if its for a special occasion, they are most definitely worth the visit.

This place is worst for little kids haircuts. The manager was rude to us and asked the stylist to stop when my son started crying during his haircut. She also threatened us about calling mall security. Also, if this place cannot cut little kids hair, then they should let customers know while making appointments.
