Too much karaoke, not enough shakin going on! 2 out of 4 bars were closed on a Sunday night. More honky tonk needed, Jerry Lee style!!

Nachos, Wings, and draft beer were on the menu for us- the pulled pork on the nachos was very good. Had a great Smokey flavor and was topped out on the fixings. The wings were ‘eh. They weren’t bad but left a bit to be desired. The service upstairs was fantastic and the view of Beale street was lots of fun for people watching.

Absolutely incredible place! There was so much atmosphere, staff were fantastic, band was out of this world!! Definitely go in! No cover charge as well! We had some food and it was delicious, just a bit of wait as quite a few people in there. We went quite early, about 6pm, and no problem getting a table.

Great food, great music, great beer, great service. You’ll find it all here! We went there for dinner and instantaneously fell in love with the atmosphere and the live music. We ordered food and the waitress was friendly and crazy - the good crazy ;).I had one of the best ribs I’ve ever had there and can’t wait tk come back. I can definitely recommend the place to anyone.

First night we went there and it wasnt too crowded...We got a couple of drinks and participated in the karaoke. It was a lot of fun!! Second time around was craziness and didnt stay too long, but would definitely recommend it for the atmosphere, energy and entertainment!

Was at Jerry Lewis during Blues challenge and it was disgusting dirty!! Bathroom upstairs were all disgusting couldn’t even go into the doom because of the smell. Downstairs had 1 stall that was working! Prices of drinks was ridiculous. We were also sticking to the floor. I was excited to come to Memphis to experience the atmosphere and hear amazing music but the bars were so disgustingly dirty it was really hard to focus on the music!! Come on Beale Street Do a better job!!!

Always love the entertainment here! Professional musicians playing the classic rockabilly, rock -n-roll, country and anything else you might request. Saw The Killer himself on NYE!

Quaint atmosphere where you never know who youll run into. There are various rooms where different adventures await you. Perhaps you are feeling in the mood to become a star on the karaoke stage, show off your dance skills upstairs, brunch in the courtyard with Drag Bingo, or a drink while you people watch Beale Street from the bar? This place offers something for everyone.

A lovely open-air juke joint with not a bad seat in the house for watching the band. There was no cover the night we were there, and drinks were expensive. The band was top-notch! Theres a lot of requisite Jerry Lee memorabilia on the walls, and between the bands sets a video played showing one of his more recent gigs, as well as other stars reminiscing about him. It may have been a Beale Street tourist trap, but I really enjoyed my time here.

We were in the Beale Street entertainment area. Jerry Lee Lewis honky tonk is gone.

We only visited the bar, which was small, but adequate. The bartender was friendly. We tried each of their own beers, which were served cold, and at a reasonable price. The music was a bit loud. Overall, a nice enough place, with a good location

Cover charge is free if you are early and Jerry even had half of his car parked into the wall! I assume he keeps the other half at home in case he wants to put it back together and go for a drive.

This place has three separate places inside of here to your Left is a bar and then to your right is a karaoke bar then up stairs at 10 pm to 5 am the the club is so fun they be giving away wrist bands for the club it be people on the st giving them out for a certain amount of time😁😘😁😘😁😘😁😘😁

I had the chicken strips and cheesy fries. Food was served quick and hot. I would definitely recommend.

My Daughter and I just left this bar and the service there was horrible. If I could give 0 stars and just write the review I would. We were given a drink menu and the prices were not on there, so when I asked him how much for the mixed drinks my daughter and I were interested in, he said between $10.00 and $13.00 and I asked again, what the price was and he said you really need to know the price? DUH, yeah!!!. He then told us both drinks were $12.00 each, ok but when he brought us our drinks, they both tasted like straight juice without any liquor in them at all. When we brought this to his attention he just saidthats the mixed drink and went about his business ignoring us not offering any solution or apology. I will never go there again, they are just making up prices as they go along to suit their business needs Which is ridiculous. BEWARE!!!!

Came here for their Picklefest. The food and drink menu were supar. The womens bathroom was AWFUL. One stall didnt have a door on it. One stall didnt have a lock. One of the sinks had a PILE of used paper towels in it. I honestly never left a place so fast.

Great music and drinks. Also people were singing karaoke songs. Loved it!

Love the greeter. Loved the live band. Enjoyed the singer. Food was not hot, the barbeque had a good taste, but bread and fries were cold. Sprite too sweet.

My favourite bar on Beale St, really enjoyed hearing Kruzz Kuntrol, and the staff were great. It was a really positive, relaxed atmosphere and the mimosas were great

Fun friendly atmosphere. Place you can go and just have a good time. Good crowds and live band performances.Bars are sprinkled around so if one is crowded move around to another one got drinks fast this way.Dj plays a mix of music. I like a little bit of everything so it blended well imo.

Great Musicians, especially .the Piano player very talented and great show man, playing like Jerry Lee Lewis. My wife and I had a great time. We really enjoy the service, we drank a couple of drinks and was very affordable, very well worthy. Cool place with amazing atmosphere.

I enjoyed the singers at karaoke. But the drinks were trash I asked for tequila sunrise with 1800 they didnt have so I asked for Jose he juiced it down not a good bartender...no waitresses tables dirty and ladies Id rather pee outside than in there restroom I felt like I was in a horror movie....I wont be back it needs new management

Prices were not bad, decent live music and some local beers on tap. Food was less than memorable and service about the same.The Jerrys nachos had too much thyme in the chicken and runny cheese sauce that made all soggy. Catfish was ok. Best part were the 2 small hush puppies with the dinner. The whole place needs a good scrubbing.

Always Live Music. Place can liven up late night! Whole lot of dancing dancing going on, and always a cheap cover if even one. They just like having people come in. Bar is huge, you can get lost in there it’s so big I mean for my drinking self at least ha. Always have fun here

Went there two Saturday nights for the nightclub. My friends and I had a blast both times until the DJ killed the party. He is good at getting the party jumping with consecutive tunes, but he has a horrible tendency of breaking the groove and never fixing it. Drinks were very good and well priced.

Such a great place and a wonderful live band! It’s a shame I have to give it 3 stars, but the reason for that is because of the bathrooms-especially the women’s restroom. You all HAVE to do better in this area. The first stall didn’t have a toilet seat.If it wer not for the restrooms this review would definitely be a much higher rating.

Saw Kruzz Kuntrol Band Friday night and they were fantastic. The whole band has a tremendous soulful sound and the lead singer is pure gold. Definitely a band I’ll listen to again and again live when in the Memphis area.

Absolute best live music performance I’ve seen...we got to dance to “Great Balls of Fire” while watching the piano player put on a fantastic show....he even lit the piano on fire! It was an intimate venue with a fun crowd. My favorite spot in Memphis.

We went there Wednesday night. They had a $3.50 special on vodka cocktails. The bartender near the stage charged me $7 for the first 2, and $12 for the next 2. It was not crowded and we were polite. I would have loved to stay for the bands full set, but not when the bartender is skimming my cash hoping Im too dumb (or drunk) to math.

In a recent trip to Memphis, it was a shame to see loud obnoxious annoying dubstep and profanity laden rap music blaring incessantly from what probably used to be a classy club featuring live rock n roll and blues music acts. Nobody with any sense of musical culture dared set foot in or dwell around the club as the atmosphere was anything but classic Beale Street. We went to BB Kings where you could still find music properly representing Beale Street and the foundational music of Memphis.It was completely uninviting and poorly run.What a shame! If The Killer still owns the club on Beale bearing his name, I wonder if he even knows thats what theyre doing.A club with the name Jerry Lee Lewis Cafe and Honky Tonk should be playing anything BUT what it was.

Great spot on Beale street! My favorite place to go for dancing and drinks! Different rooms with different vibes. I have had so much fun and spent multiple birthdays partying here. Love it!

We were in town for the weekend and decided to stroll down Beale St. we walked into this bar because it was one of the few that didn’t have a super long line. I ordered 4 drinks and paid with my card (I was out of cash) the total was $28 and I left a $5 tip. My card was charged $88!!!If you must go here please bring cash. I see several reviews about people being overcharged

If you want to eat quickly, go right to the bar and ask for a menu because wait staff is small. But food is very good, and atmosphere is fun. Not for those who are watching carbs or dont like loud restaurants. I really enjoy it.

The place was mostly closed down Im assuming due to lunch, the food was luke warm, but had good flavor. Several pics of Jerry Lee. Bathroom was far less than par. Bring your own tp. There wasnt any during my visit.

I had to press on a star, otherwise there would be no stars. But my visit was not enjoyable. We were a party of 12, it took 15 minutes to be seated, mind you there was one table occupied so didnt see why it took so long to be seated. Then my friend told server table needed wiping off, she returned few minutes later with a napkin to wipe table. But all our tables needed cleaning. We told the server her response with attitude was , oh well she the only one requested table cleaned. Needless to say we walked out. Do not see why tables not cleaned with soapy wet clothes sanitized, come on now there are to many germs that make you sick. Disappointed

My friends went there after JT Concert at the FedEx Forum and waited in line which they were charging a $5 cover. They advertised that they served food. So we asked before we entered and none of the staff waiting the door had no clue, so one went and asked, but returned and said nothing to us. So we had to walk over to him and ask again, he just motioned us in. Then we were told to go to the bar and give them our order (after we had gotten our own menus) then was told we couldnt order there that we had to go to another bar and order in a different room. So we go to another room to order. They made us pay up front, get our own drinks to the table, and then we had to go pick up our own food from the bar. Service??? NOT!!

I understand this is a touristy eating establishment. However Im pretty sure you should have hot food. The doorman was great, he got us in the door. Hey, thats his job. I ordered the pork shoulder with beans, coleslaw, waffle cut fries and Texas toast. The meat was Luke warm and its pulled pork. The beans tasted like van camp. At least our server kept our drinks full.

This place has a great band and it was a lot of fun just to hang out and watch them. The drink selection was pretty good here too. The bar tenders were very nice and attentive.

I had the most horrible experience at the place, ever. I asked them to make me a drink with Bacardi which they didnt have. They just suggested a rum that would be similar. It tasted disgusting so I asked them for something else. They refused to take back to drink. I asked to see the manager. The manager came and asked me what I wanted. When I started to explain myself, they immediately had pushed me physically out of the club. Then they had the nerve to charge me for the drinks anyway. I would never go back to this club. Im 40 and Ive never been kicked out of the club in my life. I have never been cut off at the bar.

Its slightly run down, then again, so is the whole of Memphis. The band werent tight either. Lucky to get 4 really....

Place is a joke. Cover charge changed from 5 to 10 to 20, while my group of four was in line. Expected much more from a place being named after Jerry Lee. What has happened to Beale Street?

The place was awesome , staff and band were out of this world with hospitality people need on a daily basis . The young piano player was a cutie , the next Jerry Lee Lewis and phenomenal. Keep up the good work.

Great place to dance, especially if your idea of dancing is just grinding or twerking. Karaoke downstairs with all the drunk sorority girls makes for decent entertainment. Cover was relatively okay, like $10.

I brought my mother to Memphis for her 80th birthday. Visiting Graceland and Beale Street were items on her bucket list. Being a piano player herself, she has always loved Jerry Lee so of course we had to eat at his cafe. What a wonderful experience we had. The food was excellent and all the employees were all extremely friendly and helpful. The overall atmosphere took us back to the time of the good old honky tonks. I wish I could remember the name of the band that was playing but getting older does strange things to your memory bank. The band absolutely made moms day. What a show!!!! Loved every minute! Would have loved to stay longer but we were exhausted from visiting Graceland. You can tell that they enjoyed playing as much as we enjoyed listening. The lead singer/piano player was wonderfully wild and crazy 😂😂😂. Of all the great places we visited in Memphis this was our favorite. I highly recommend if you visit Memphis be sure to stop by the Jerry Lee Lewis cafe. Mom talked about it often on our long drive home to Ohio. Thank you for giving us this wonderful memory to share.

Great meal! The BBQ pork, fries, slaw, and beans were delicious. The dining area was dirty or I would have given a 4 star. It was during Elvis week so I will cut them some slack.

I had fun, went Sunday night and it was karaoke night. Had a few guys that were really good.

The piano player looked and acted just like em. Seriously was confused for a minute when we came in - so much enthusiasm and dancing across the floor- I think some of the older people were confused too - it was awesome. Definitely head in there!

Awesome band, food was extremely salty, seriously the cook had to be new or accidentally dumped an entire salt shaker in our fried pickles. We always eat all of them because we love them but couldnt here, not this time. Cole slaw was extremely bland didnt bother finishing it tasted like paper.

Last night was fun, but towards end of night I witnessed male security guards in women’s bathroom when they mistakenly thought a man went in. I appreciate their chivalry but they stood in there after they knew it wasn’t a man, they stayed in & did not leave. About 6 men were just hovering the women’s bathroom and it was very uncomfortable. Won’t be back

New Years Eve was a blast here! Im not much of a clubber but I enjoyed the experience. They need to reconfigure the upstairs. That one bar is a train wreck. It shouldnt take that long to get a drink at a bar. Maybe add another bar or something?

Best place in Memphis to vibe to hip hop all night long. Ive never been there and had my fun stopped because of a fight or other altercation. Security stays on top of everything and people genuinely come to dance and have a good time.

This bar was just ok. Didn’t like the smoking by the staff the waitress brought my beer with a cigarette in her mouth very gross. Does this owner ever watch bar rescue. Decent band there last Friday.

I went there on New Year’s Eve 2018 to see Jerry lee Lewis perform and ring in the new year. I was disappointed with the management. Jerry was awesome but after performing several songs, for some unknown reason the show was cut short 15 mins before ringing in the new year. Jerry was about to start playing his next song when his handlers came onto the stage and got him off. There was no good bye, no happy new year, no see you later, zero, not even an explanation to what had happened. I thought that was very poor on their part to do this to his fans. Honestly, how do you end a show by just getting off stage. Not cool

This bar has so much potential with karoke downstairs and fantastic dancing music and dance floor up stairs, but it was by far the most disgusting bar I have ever been to and on top of that Im not sure the airconditioner was even working at all. We gave it a second chance on our 2nd day but it was even worse than the 1st. The bathrooms hadnt even been cleaned or stocked from the night before, still hot.

This place has pretty nice staff and the atmosphere is okay. My issue is the music! Its so terrible at times that it makes me want to leave. Sometimes the DJ will take a break and have a playlist with outdated music. Last night I attempted to request Megan Thee Stallion and the dj said no which is okay because not all djs do that but he then proceeded to play Laffy Taffy which is absolutely ridiculous. I did try the bbq nachos though and it was delicious.

My husband and I had just gotten married. Morning and spent our honeymoon on Beale Street. We came here because all the other places just didnt seem to have the action that this placed it and we were not disappointed! The piano player had just as much talent as Jerry Lee Lewis, the killer, himself!

Our first night, Wednesday, was awesome. The young man on the piano was JLL reincarnated. The other two nights it was too country for me. I did not eat here. Bartenders were nice.

More or less. You know, I expected more because of this great name of music worldwide. But, in stead of the bar decoration with musical elements, the service isnt very good and looks like the old saloons. Very disorganized!

After paying to get in and given a plastic bracelet to make us feel special obviously...or spot the idiots, we sat down in centre of the place near a fountain where a band and female vocalist had started. Looking we thought. We ordered local food...pulled pork and a salad. What came out on our plates, I can only describe as muck. Thick with grease and my wifes salad seemed like it had been hammered onto the plate with a mallet. All my fears were confirmed when I clapped eyes on the chef at the far end of the bar....unkempt is being very kind to him. The food bill was exorbitant. I wanted a tshirt as a souvenir of the man Jerry Lee but the quality was too poor for $28. Thanks but no thanks. Dont bother with this shed.

This place was the worst. I went to a Memphis Grizzlies game dressed in athletic attire. Then when I left the game to enjoy a drink with friends, we were all denied entry because I was wearing (very appropriate) athletic attire. What a HORRIBLE business idea... You do realize that I would buy drinks adding revenue, correct? But you are a tourist trap, so whatever... the guy in Athletic Attire ✌️

Beer is pretty cheap for beale street. I would not get the red beans and rice, no flavor. The nachos were good , however for our first order the chips were stale. They did replace it no problem and they were very good afterwards.

The band was decent but the seer selection left a lot to be desired. If you want some decent music and dont care about drink selection this place could work for you.

The food was cold..and old. No telling how long the beans were left over. The BBQ just skip it. Awful..The restrooms were so bad we wouldnt even use them. The whole place needs a good cleaning.

Upstairs and downstairs bars. Upstairs is more of a dance club/party vibe. Downstairs does karaoke some nights and is more chill. Nice balcony to get some air and smoke. One of the most lit bars on beale.

This was my 2nd favorite place. It was fun and charismatic. The band sounded great. We also went to the club upstairs later in the night and a blast up there.

I had a great time with my sisters when I went we have much karaoke lots of drinks and so much fun yet the next day I noticed on my card when I check how much money I spent the bartender charged me for $20 extra and I did not like that so if I decide to go again I will have cash only.

I felt so disrespected at the entrance by this “frank” guy who claims he owns the place. My significant other was trying to buy tickets for us when this guy grabbed me by my arm. I am pregnant and this scared me (I had no idea why he was putting his hands on me) needless to say we will not be going back or supporting this place. What an embarrassing moment.

Oh my goodness, this place is the best! Cannot believe I missed it the first time I visited. Definitely have to stop in and listen to the band, AMAZING! I had the best time!

Its a nice mixed crowd,security is on point and they have a DJ that play list is mixed but still have the people dancing and enjoying themselves.

Most amazing music and atmosphere

Easily the worst place we went to on Beale St. for St. Patricks Day. The guy at the door made it a point to make us turn our hats around saying that it was part of their dress code... We ate there hours earlier and nobody had a problem with the way we were dressed. The real problem happened when we attempted to go upstairs. We had our I.D.s check a second time and when we questioned the stair guys authority he lost it. Saying that if we didnt like it we could go somewhere else. He cussed at us making us feel very unwelcome. He kept saying he deals with drunk a******s every night. If that were the case he would have only escalated the situation because we were neither drunk nor a******s. We made it a point to find a manager and tell them about this guy but she covered for him saying that he was doing his job. Seriously a joke.. Needless to say all 14 of us walked out of there straight to OSullivans!!! I wanted to give this place 0 stars but it wouldnt let me post. Dont waste your time here. There are plenty other places to spend your time and hard earned money on Beale St.

Excellent bar! The karaoke guys were great along with everyone involved with the bar. The people in the bar were also fun to hang it with.

Went on a Thursday night while walking Beale street. Got right to a table and waited on with friendly staff. Music, drinks, and food were amazing! Highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich.

Fun place with upstairs and downstairs areas with completely different atmospheres in each. Drinks are a little expensive but the bartenders and other staff are fantastic.

Bartender spraying stuff in her long brown hair while people are sitting at the bar! Next to the plastic cups, straws and liquor! No latches on the Bathroom doors. Toilet seats looks like somebody’s rubbing dirt on it.

The atmosphere was fantastic the people friendly. The music was live and the alcohol was flowing.

Great cheeseburger with great music! Jason James, he plays a lot like Jerry Lee ... sets his piano on fire and plays with his feet on that damn piano.

Get the Memphis Nachos! They will not disappoint. I also loved the live music while we ate - such a cool atmosphere.

Food was relatively cold. The chicken sandwich barely covered the bun. The entertainment was very good.

The balcony here is a great place to watch the crowd on Beale Street fun, diverse crowd, solid bartenders and a decent beer selection.
