I would NOT recommend this hotel at all! The rooms are not cleaned , floors filthy , walls dirty. The room was so dirty on the first floor we had to request a new room and we were moved to a 2 bedroom on the 3rd floor. The AC was not working at all. The fridge was dirty. The ceiling had a stain on it. The walls had dirt on them. There were roaches in our bathroom and they didn’t even have a window curtain up. They were using a bed sheet as the window curtain. This place is god awful. Room service didn’t even clean the ice buckets off. Ours had someone else’s toothpaste stains on it.
The first I noticed about this hotel was the awning over the front door had fallen down. Walking through the halls I saw lights flicker. I got to the hotel and wanted to cool my lemonade for the morning… but the fridge was broken. The AC blows the littlest amount of air, and the room was hot all night. Then I saw a small cockroach run across the floor, and a spider had made its web in the bathtub. The beds also have little stains all over. If you’re coming to Memphis…. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!
Rooms were nasty roaches crawled all night, me and my husband didn’t go to sleep! The house keepers knocked on the door a hour before checkout the elevator was out of fix the pool is not in service just don’t waste your time booking that garbage!!!! I tried to cancel they wouldn’t let me I called the customer service only to keep getting the phone hung up in my face I will never book that place again and the shower was disgusting 🤢🤢😡 no phone, no refrigerator or microwave total waste….
This is what we in the big city called the ghetto hotel. The rooms were nice and remodel the elevator was unsafe the overall condition of the building was horrible there was no pool the building was in the middle of being demolished at least part of it was the parking lot was unsafe like I said the only thing it had good was the rooms were nicely remodeled they need serious work under overall appearance it wasnt even air conditioning in the lobby
Avoid booking here at ALL costs. The parking lot greeted us with a sketchy environment, with people loitering in the parking lots and around the lobby at night. There was cracked paint and roaches found on our hotel walls, a rusted sprinkler system, and absolutely no noise levels respected at any time of the day.Woke up around 4am because it was hard to sleep with so many shutting doors, obnoxious people in the halls, and the added factor of the sketchiness created an uncomfortable environment to sleep in.Upon checking out, my car antenna was also missing. My intuition was right about this place. NEVER staying here again and I’m not sure why this uninhabitable building is still in business.I would rate this spot -5 stars if I could. This place needs serious administration and restoration.
I would say the hotel is overall decent. The service is good depending on who is at the desk. The woman name I think is Kia is really sweet, good looking and efficient with service. The rooms on the 1st floor are ok but 2nd and 3rd are great room. In the morning house keeping does a great job with getting trash and other things we used and providing us new things we need in the room if we stay another night.
This is the number 1 place you must never come to stay at. NEVER BOOK A ROOM HERE. I booked a room here through priceline and as far as that all was well until i got checked in. The room walls had food and liquid stains and there was dead roached along the side wall corners. A/C unit was leaking water though out the night and when i got up around 4 am to use the bathroom my feet got soaking wet because of all the water that was coming from the A/C unit i had to use the bath towels to dry it up and keep it from spilling more water. next day as we checked out there were roached walking though the lobbys floor so that should tell you something. OBVIOUSLY WE ARE NEVER COMING BACK HERE.
The condition of the room was extremely unsatisfactory; it was unkempt and unclean. Not only that, the door to the room was left wide open, which made me feel quite uneasy. The hotel front desk staff were not helpful and seemed to lack understanding of my concerns. The overall safety and condition of the hotel were subpar. I made a last-minute booking based on the pictures I saw online, but the actual room bore no resemblance to what was advertised. Feeling uncomfortable and unsafe, I decided not to stay at the hotel, resulting in a loss of $170. This was definitely one of the worst places I have ever considered staying.
When I checked in, the key didn’t work. I went back down stairs so she could reset my key. Finally got in the room and the A/C didnt work, and my sheets were brown stained.. I then went back down stairs to tell the employee at the friont desk and she gave me the room next door only to find out I walked in on another guest staying in that room as well? What are we roomates now? This is ridiculous! And the customer service team told me it would be 24-48 hours before I could hear from them about a refund! Dont stay here because its not even guranteed I get my refund back.
Hi I really appreciate how kind and accommodating the staff is .. The establishment as a whole makes you feel like family and will check on you to make sure you are like your stay . I always book here when I stay in Memphis .. Even days at a time the respect your privacy and no matter the time if you need something they will accommodate you I like it here very much … Also it’s super close to plenty of fun things to do and goto like Shelby farms …
This hotel was the worse hotel I’ve ever been at out of all the hotels I’ve been to. First off when I first got there I was told that the elevator didn’t work (that was the first red flag), then I get to the room it’s rust on the bathroom ceiling look like it’s finna fall, then I find out the window is broken because it wouldn’t close all the way, the air conditioner was clogged so if felt like heat was coming out, and the worst of all but I didn’t find out till the morning of check out-they have BED BUGS not had they HAVE!! Me and my friendgirl got bitten by them in multiple places💯When we went to comfort the girl at the front desk to get our refund back she said , “we can’t do the refund because we stayed the whole night, if you seen the bed bugs within an hour then I’d be able to give you a refund” but what I wanna know is how was I suppose to know they had bed bugs-hotels should not have bed bugs, hotels should be clean with no bugs in sight💯. I DO NOT RECOMMEND NO ONE TO BOOK AT THIS HOTEL!!
I had reservations a head of time for 2 nights. They gave me a discount over the phone $46.00 for both night. When I got here the prices changes and they couldnt find my reservations. I knew they were profiling and showing that they did not want us to stay long. They came in our room early before 11:00am. Was calling my phone at 10:51 as Im walking in and stopping at the desk. They Show Great Customer But They Are Not Honest.
My fault for not reading reviews first. Our room looked like it had bullet holes in wall. Dirty walls, window would not close at it was 30 degrees outside. TV mostly static and what looked like electrical wires hooked together with wire nuts hanging behind TV. Bathroom sink leaked onto floor. No breakfast. The smoke detectors all over hotel beeps all day/night. This was a complaint a month ago and still not fixed. Elevator control panel black taped to the wall. Hotel can not be held accountable for customers because they do not know peoples attitudes and behaviors but hotel was very loud.All I can say is easy access to and from city and interstate.Will not stay here again

I BOOKED A ROOM AND THEN ONCE I CHECKED IN, there was people trying to sell me drugs and people breaking into peoples rooms. SO I CHECKED OUT THE SAME DAY AND ASKED FOR AN REFUND. I WAS ON THE PHONE BACK AND FORTH FOR 4 days straight ! OYO WILL KEEP YOUR MONEY AND NOT GOVE IT BACK. 0/10. NEVER WOULD EVER RECOMMEND. !!!!!!!!!! THEY WILL KEEP YOUR MONEY AND IGNORE YOUR REQUESTS.
Let me tell you something I’m from nj and not the nice part. But baby good night if cheap dirty scary and down freaking right wrong wasn’t enough they holes in the wall in the bathroom, black mold coming through the ceiling through out the whole room, instead of locks on the windows on the bottom floor they used an old blinds stick! I am a truck driver and I stay out months at a time but if I get bored I transport brand new vehicles that we are not allowed to sleep in so I paid ahead and was out of drive time (truck talk) so I had to stay but baby I checked the linen for bugs and was in at 9pm and out by 5am. Unless you rehearsing for a remake of the shining stay away!!!!!!!
The guy at check in wouldnt let me stay in the room that I had paid for because Im under 21. I was all by myself with no room for the night stuck in MEMPHIS all thanks to OYO. Ended up hanging out with some coke head that I met in the street for the whole night. Thanks a whole lot OYO
I wouldn’t stay here if it was offered at no price. My partner and I were supposed to stay three nights, but as soon as we saw the room we asked for a refund. There are smoke detectors beeping for low battery down each hall, and our room was unclean and unsafe. There was blood and stool on the sheets, holes and graffiti in/on the walls, the light switch didn’t work, rust or a burn mark on the toilet seat, and mold, rust, and extreme paint cracking and peeling in the bathroom. The front desk had homeless in the lobby, and when we asked for a refund after being there less than ten minutes, were told they were unable to complete a refund. I did not feel safe at any point, and my husband did not feel safe with me even walking to my side of the car without him. The guests and non-guests loitering and trying to stop us and talk to us only increased the feeling that our safety and comfort was not considered. The photos that I viewed when booking in no way represent what this stay is like. For actual photos, see the ones I’ve attached. We are expecting a refund and have spent more money on a place that we don’t have to worry about being mugged in.
This place helped me relocate to Memphis at an affordable rate so I could accept a job that changed my life. They were nice and treated me well. I did have an issue with the maintenance/ janitor who was RUDE. I made them aware of this and had no more issues! Thank you OYO TOWNHOMES OF MEMPHIS! DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH!
I’ve stayed here twice and the first time I stayed for 3 months and it was a nice place to stay my room was nice both times although the second time I was there I was on the 1st floor and the first and second floors doesn’t have a microwave nor fridge but overall it’s a good hotel and at a nice price and they should also have a wash area
Worst experience ever. The TV didnt work. And I got stuck on the elevator and had to call the fire department to get out. The staff is a complete joke. And house keeping is rude as hell. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE.
The room had old clothes in it there was bed bugs. The tv only had 2 channels. And when I asked them about it the severs had and attitude about me telling them the problem.I dont recommend at all.
I booked two nights online for Xmas. My husband and I had stayed there a few years ago with no problems. The website still showed great pics...Arriving, we saw broke down and abandoned vehicles in the parking lot.The man who checked us in was rude, and when I asked about the pool he said it was not working.The elevator was more scary than anything when it was working. Our room had no microwave, refrigerator, the wifi never did connect and I had to use my hot spot for 2 days, the furniture that was left in the room was falling apart, holes in the walls, bed sunk in the middle, mold in the bathroom, and the TV reception only came in on maybe 3 channels.Theres no amenities that they advertise, and I had to track down a house keeper to even get a roll of tissue and a clean towel.The whole time we were there, there were ppl yelling and fighting in the halls and parking lot all night. My husband stayed up all night both nights to make sure our car wasnt broke into.This place is nothing but a drug hotel and trap house more or less.If I could give this place zero stars I would.Run far away.
The worst hotel ever! Do not stay! The receptionist was not even there, we waited 1 hour, she hardly spoke any English and tried to charge us extra for checking in at 2:30 instead of 3 oclock. Place is dirty, smells bad and dangerous. Worst experience ever!
The toilet ran all over the floor and nobody helped they just gave us towels, there was roaches all over the room and it was dusty and musty smelling, the whole hotel lost power, nothing in the room works I’ll never be coming back here again the power also was out for well over a hour with nobody at the seat to help in this hest
The place didnt have everything it advertised. No restaurant. No Bar. No Pool access. Most of the Hotel was not up to par. Needing paint and floors and just up keep. The Employees were friendly. They said they had security but neglected to tell me it was only a few days a week. My Truck got the glass broke out. Some ignition damage. Missing property. Then I find out it happens every night security isnt there like they know somehow. The Elevator is broken so plan on walking up an down every flight of narrow stairs and fight open old damaged doorways. And the room had ants on the bathroom counter in the morning and roaches all over the room. Crawling in and out under the edge of the bed. The hallways smelled like cigarette smoke. It was all around a uncomfortable and inconvenient stay.

If you want to sleep with black mold and shady deals going down in the parking lot then this would be the place.Got there checked in. Walked into the room and there was black mold everywhere. The ceiling was leaking. Paint peaking on the walls and ceiling. No blankets. Talked to the girl at the front desk who was insufferable. My 6 year old has better manners than she did. Said she would give us a refund. She didn’t. She marked us a no show. I’m still trying to get our refund. And honestly after all of these reviews I’m probably going to call the health department. No one should be exposed to black mold. Especially young children (like mine who were with me). My two boys (6&7) who play in the mud every chance they get, were grossed out by the room. The whole place wreaks too.

I booked my room days in advance they charged me and when I went to TN they told me they have my reservation but there are no rooms available. I had to sleep in my car in 15 degrees fahrenheit and I didnt get a refund. Didnt go in a room but the place looked like dystopian garbage from the outside.
The room I stayed in had no television service and the front desk was no help at all. Also my a/c unit did not work. My sheets where stained and the bathroom was not properly cleaned.

I would have preferred to give no stars. We booked this hotel on Expedia because the pictures looked really good. Got checked in. Front desk girl was nice and gave us a refund when we asked for it 10 minutes after checking in. We checked in, the hallway to the room had buckets collecting water from the leaking ceilings from the floors above it. Paint was chipping in the room and it felt very dirty. Stood in the room and could smell the humidity and mold. Besides the fact that the place itself was super sketchy once inside. Never again will we book with Oyo or any of its affiliated hotels.
Disgusting. Absolutely filthy. This place is pathetic and should be shut down. First room had no refrigerator or microwave. They moved us to a different room. Both rooms looked terrible. Nasty stains on the bedding, bugs, smelled like mold, cigarettes and marjuania. They had screaming guests throughout the halls, a frequent loud whistle that went off every 30 seconds, multiple fire code hazards, and pubic hair on the toilet. The elevator has a sign saying that the elevator is closed from like 11pm to 7 am. There is no tv service. Hasnt been for months if you look through other reviews on here. There is no pool its under construction. Its a roach motel. Bait and switch pictures. None of the pictures are accurate. They tried to make the lobby look nice but as soon as you step into the hall youre taken to a horror movie. Worst hotel Ive ever seen. I booked three days and did not stay a half hour. It was that bad. I just left and found a better place.

My experience at oyo hotel has been very good they are very nice at the front desk and the house keeping does a very good job they come everyday and make sure I have everything I need. Everyone is very nice and welcoming.
I was charged double for every night that I booked online, there was water leak in the hallway near my room with a garbage bucket to keep the water from seeping out anywhere else. There was break in to several cars every night. I didn’t feel safe at all. I have not been refunded not one red sent.
I booked a room from the hotel itself to try to support the actual business instead of through a third party seller. I specifically booked a room with a king size bed but this was not available and I was given a double queen instead. A $50 cash deposit was also required that was not mentioned anywhere and blindsided me because I do not carry cash. I also specifically booked for the pool because the pictures looked really nice, however, the pool was clearly very under construction which wasnt listed anywhere and the photos were clearly taken when the building first opened. I talked to the front desk to see if there was anywhere nearby that I could swim instead since I bought a swimsuit and I still wanted to use it. It was reiterated to me that the pool was closed and were unwilling to offer any other options. I then tried to contact customer support to see if they could at least add transparency for other customers becuase the biggest problems here are communication ones. I got an email saying there would be a response within 48 hours. We are on days 3 so the communication issues continue. I wont be staying at an OYO again personally. All of this seems like a class action lawsuit for false advertising waiting to happen.

Absolutely disgusting, Do not stay here! First of all the pictures do not match the actual description and when I got there to check in, they had already gave my room out and there were no rooms available. Good thing because he showed us a room and told us that it wasn’t in good conditions and he he was right! A health inspector needs to come here!
This place is in a sketchy area. When we were checking in there was a line of people making complaints. When we got into the room and found black mold covering much of the ceiling. The entire place also smelled like Marijuana. Absolutely do not stay here especially with kids. I have never felt so unsafe in my life. This place is worse than horrible. Negative stars in my opinion.
Room was exactly as pictured. Great service over the phone and at the front desk. Location inside and out was clean. I let the front desk agent know that i would be driving overnight and checking in way later than normal. He told me to be safe on my drive and that the late check in would not be a problem. Price was great for me, as I was only needing the room for a few hours to sleep from the drive.
The room i was assigned to was not clean upon arrival. The floors were not swept, tables not wiped, et cetera. There was also a lot of mold in bathroom and on entire ceiling.. After settling in i turned the TV on it did not work, straight static. My husband asked them to change the room after trying to tighten the cable cord himself. They refused to change the room and told us they do not have maintenance. We were not on vacation, just waiting for move in date on home. So, the majority of the time was spent in the room and our children were completely bored. They refused to refund so we can change hotels also.
This hotel doesn’t deserve any star ratings. On the site it says it has a working pool/jacuzzi, serves continental breakfast, comes with blow dryer in room and others things and features picture look really good online.When we arrived there was no one to greet us and they had an urge sign saying they needed a $50 cash deposit or no room. So before be paid our deposit we asked was everything working and we were told everything was as is. We paid the $50 cash which would be refunded when checkout. We proceeded to our room and trash was outside our door that was never picked up. Tried to go swimming but the roof caved on over the pool area. Had a restaurant sign but the restaurant was shut down for storage area. Asked about ice it was on the third floor and we on the second floor. Someone was robbing someone on the fourth floor. Asked for a refund he said refunds won’t get processed for 7-10 days. Then woke up to the place surrounded by police and someone’s car on for rims where someone took the entire 4 tires off the car and left it propped up by too old tires!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN NEED TO BE SHUTDOWN!!!!
After the storm took our power out, we rented a room here. The room was full of black mold and when I told the receptionist all she had to say was that she’s sorry. I was offered nothing for being exposed to toxic black mold. I contacted customer service, and I’ve not received a response.Update: OYO finally responded weeks later, but would not acknowledge my stay or complaint and refused to take any measures to resolve my complaint.
This hotel was absolutely disgusting. I only stayed for a few hours and checked out early because of the state of the room/hotel.Despite the multiple no smoking signs/etc in the property every inch of the hotel smelled like smoke and/or weed.The various floors had parts of the ceiling hanging down and trash in the hallways.The elevator was sketchy at best to the point where me and my guest decided not to use it after the first use out of fear of it shutting down with us inside.The room itself also smelled of smoke and parts of the bathroom door were broken like they’d been kicked or punched through.The tub was also gross with multiple rings and grime in it.I honestly would’ve requested a full refund but I felt I wouldn’t get far with the desk attendant and I just wanted out as fast as possible.If I could give this place less than one star I would. Will never be staying here again and would never recommend it to anyone either.Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.
At first, I was just happy to get a room. When I try to check in at 1pm, the lady with the pink hair tells me that I cant check in until 3..even though you could clearly see that they had tons of rooms available already because the parking lot was completely empty!! I said fine and waited until 3pm to check in. When I walk through the dirty, disgusting, old hallway to my room its apparentthat these people have poor quality care!! This is quite possibly the worst hotel i have ever stayed in my life time. On top of all of that...they had their employees working and cleaning all through the night while people are trying to sleep instead of through the day!! The walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything!! Their employees are loud and they slam doors and just dont care about the customers!! The only positive thing i can say about this hotel is that its right next to the Cracker Barrel restaurant!! Other than that...I dont think Ill ever stay here ever again!! If you like to stay awake all night and you like dirty rooms, this hotel is perfect for you!!

Needs some serious renovations! I booked this room for two nights during a power outage so I was desperate. There were holes in the walls, outlets hanging out of the walls, dust everywhere so it was poorly cleaned, and the bathroom sink leaked whenever you ran the water, and there was a strange smell. I get that you get what you pay for, and like I said I was desperate haha but it wasn’t comfortable to stay in at all. I booked for two nights because I was anticipating my power to still be out. However, my power came back on around 12:30 the next day. Check out is at 11am so I assumed I could at least get a partial refund for the day that I wouldn’t need. NOPE! I only got my deposit back. I wouldn’t book again no matter how desperate.

They claimed they were giving me a brand new room that no one has been in yet, room was FILTHY. When I checked out, they refused to give me my deposit back because “my room and the hall smelled like weed”…. Which it did but that’s because the walls are so thin, smell travels. I was barely in the room so it wasn’t from me. 🤷🏾♀️ wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you’re desperate for somewhere to stay.

I HAD A GREAT STAY EVERYTIME IVE STAYED AT THIS LOCATION. THE STAFF AT THE FRONT DESK TOOK CARE MY EVERY NEED. I HAD A WONDERFUL NOCE REST EVERYTIME AS WELL AND THE MATTRESSES WERE EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE.
First off, there is no pool or hot tub at the hotel, like shown on web page. I had to pay a 50.00 cash deposit, which I did get back upon checkout. Housekeeping was non existence in my 4 day stay, and would exchange out a towel for a towel service. Overall, for the money it was ok, and location was great. A couple of shady people in parking lot and lobby at times and side entry door from parking lot was locked during late night hours. Some evidence of smoking weed, but now that its legal it will be everywhere..
The staff is attentive and polite.The younger girl on morning shift doesnt like to be interrupted but she is actually kind. Cleaning staff is very good. Janitor is hardworking and willing to give suggestions about the surrounding area
We arrived late after traveling. The first room was on bottom floor after we moved our things in we noticed water in the bathroom floor. Well the water was dripping from the light bulb (that was on)in the bathroom. We reported it no apology and were moved upstairs. The stairs are rusted out to the point of parts of the stairs are gone. This room doesnt have the same TV program system so I couldnt continue watching. The bed and pillows look like havent been changed since hotel opened. Sheet had not been cleaned floors could see out foot prints who knows when it was cleaned last. I went to dry my hair the next morning. The staff walked in while I was still dressed in my bra without knocking. My blow dryer would not work and had to go to front desk again. I had to go into another room to dry my hair which I had to insist on. Awful experience will sleep in my car before I stay there again.
Everything was nice just wish I had a microwave in the bedroom but overall it was a nice stay and I would stay again.

The people at the front desk are awful and has No customer service skills at all. Mona, the property manager is no better. She lies to her guess then refuse to see them face to face. There were Roaches crawling across the bed in my daughters room, she had to check out and go to another near by hotel with her daughters.I checked out a day early because of the Bad experience my family had and they refused to refund my money. When I got back home in Texas, I looked for a corporate number to file a complaint and of course, this hotel is ran and owned by someone from India and there was no US corporate number. I will NEVER stay at another OYO nowhere. All the furniture was Very old and outdated and the room did not smell fresh and clean.Another thing, people live there as there home so thats another reason I will never stay again. People were hanging in the parking lot, smoking dope with their trunk open and music blasting. Horrible Place
All the staff but one is nice polite and helpful. I am going on 70 and dont like rudeness or unkindness. Nor do I like someone just sitting on their behinds being ugly and rude. I worked for years at a motel. Not once did I gripe at the people renting the rooms I cleaned. They paid my salary and my good tips. I dont need someone with BRIGHT pink hair and rude. Even if laundry was done we had extra for accidents. I bled on my sheet and it didnt need to stay on the bed and become so stained that it needed to be thrown out. Rudeness to me goes hand in hand with stupidity and less money in the pocket.
The floors of our room was slippery as if they mopped with a dirty, greasy mop. We had to wait 20 minutes to check in while the employee was at the desk doing something and never acknowledged us to hold on or greeted us. The hotel in in an area that didn’t look safe and some of the guests of the hotel looked questionable. There was no hot water in the bathroom sink but there was warm water in the shower. He had to wear our slippers in the showers in fear of the cleanliness and slippery floors. When we left to go sightseeing, we came back to a room that had not been cleaned and no new towels. When I brought this to the clerks attention, he asked if I asked them to clean the room? I said no and he told me that they don’t clean the room because guests have complained on things missing after they cleaned the rooms, so now they don’t clean the rooms. I had to ask for more clean towels. The comforter was very thin, too thin. There were electrical wires sticking out and exposed and obviously visible behind the tv and the advertised cable did not work. The cable that they advertised was a firestick that did not work. When I tried to call the front desk from the landline phone, I got a busy signal. The locks on our door were questionable. The safety latch lock was not reassuring because the door could still be opened and with enough force, someone could have easily broken in. Thank goodness it never happened. The guests were loud, some were running through the halls and screaming. We witnessed a guy chase a girl to the stairwell where we could hear her screaming. We weren’t sure if they were playful screams or screams for help. The elevator stunk and did not feel trustworthy and at one point of our stay, it was not working. There were fans airing out the floors as if there had been a flood. When I asked about the garbage since no one had cleaned our room, the clerk told me to throw it in the big garbage can by the elevator. When I went to throw it out, the big garbage can was full. When we left after our 3 days 2 night stay, the big garbage can was still full and had not been changed or taken out. The pictures on the sight that Priceline had, are EXTREMELY DECEITFUL. There were even kids screaming and running around. This hotel was such a bad experience of our trip to Memphis. It was my boyfriend and his son’s first time in Memphis and because of this hotel, it left a bad experience for their first time. We will never stay at this hotel again. I only gave it one star because I cannot post with no stars so I was forced to give it one star.
The rooms are dated, not clean, the AC didn’t stay on, the shower water didn’t go down. It was dirty around the toilet. Not to mention this was “after” I had her change me from the 1st room she initially put me in!!! The only good thing was the location, food near by.
This hotel was a TERRIBLE decision I made for my brother and I.We needed one night to stay to wash and have a clean dry place to sleep and instead we got a damp moldy room. Weve been driving for days in box trucks. The best part about this hotel were the two women who greeted us.Since we didnt accomplish a dry bed or a shower we should be refunded. The shower was disgusting, the counter had been broken and barely fixed, the sheets werent even properly wrapped around the mattress, the floors felt wet and slippery and some of the lights didnt even turn on. Absolutely trash. The building needs to be condemned. I lots of photos.
Well if you want to be cheap then dont be this cheap because it was not worth the money. Room smelled a bit funky even with the no smoking policy. TV was already broken when me and my girl tried to watch tv and on top of that they didnt provide any remote for it. I didnt bother with the tv since we was going to go sightseeing the next day so I just watched Netflix on my phone. They put us in a second floor all the way to the end room 230. Thing about it is that they didnt have any phone for calling room service so if you have a problem then you going to have go back downstairs and talk to them. No mini fridge or microwave in the room to keep our drinks cold and warm up our food. No blankets was provided so me and her just snuggled under the sheets. Bed was so stiff the second day when we went sightseeing my back and her back was aching so bad that I had to tell my girl that I needed to sit down every 15 minutes or so (and I have bad back but this was worse I ever experienced) when we went to the zoo and museum. Before we left the room the second day we saw housekeeping coming every room and was asking every room but didnt bother to ask us when we walked by, so I told my girl well lets go out and see what Memphis has to offer and so I didnt think about the room for the day until we got back from watching the Grizzlies (close game by the way). We got back to the room and then my keycard didnt work so I had to go back downstairs to get it reactivated and go back up upstairs again then walked in to find out that housekeeping didnt do their jobs to give us fresh towels or freaking toilet paper. If I was able to get my refund I wouldve and went to another hotel. Dont even get me started on the elevator. So spend little more money on a nicer hotel because this place aint worth every penny I spent on.
I booked my room in advance for a double accessible room as my mother was with me and she is on a walker and has difficulty walking. I got a call at 2:45 pm confirming that I was still coming. When we arrived I was flatly informed that the accessible room was given to someone else. No apologies, no empathy, just Do you want a non-accessible room or not?When we tried to come in the door from the parking lot and found it locked. I hit the button to call the desk and we were told to make Mom walk around the building with her luggage. I walked around to let her in that door and discovered that the door was DEADBOLTED! Im sure the Memphis Fire Marshall would love to know that if you needed to leave the building via that exit due to an emergency you cant.As we walked into the room my Mom stepped on 2 roaches. The beds were hard, loud, and horribly uncomfortable. There was a desk in the room but no chair to use it. This is why we cut our trip short. At least the front desk clerk the next morning had to foresight not to ask how our night was when we checked out because Id have told her how bad it was and that we will NOT be back! This is after staying at this hotel under several owners.
The floors in the bathroom had clearly not been cleaned and there was garbage all over the floors in the hallway. Also a smoke detector in the hallway was chirping all night. For such a cheap hotel I didn’t expect luxury but I did expect the room to be clean. Pay the couple extra dollars and book a room somewhere else.
This hotel was horrible!! We had mold on the walls and the bathroom was filthy!! I checked in at 6:00a.m and checked out at 8:00!! The beds were wet!! It was just horrible!! It was our last option and we hated it!! I wouldn’t recommend no one to stay there!!

The only thing positive I really have to say about this hotel is the bed was comfortable and staff was nice. Seen a few roach bugs crawling on the walls and first hotel I’ve ever stayed at that didn’t have any room service at all and no mini refrigerator. The tv we had to download our own remote to use it and it was very loud all throughout the night and all we smelled was weed the whole time. Hallways and elevators was nasty with garbage and stuff in them. Hotel room had no room phone to use which I’ve never seen before. Had to go downstairs when needed something nobody would bring anything up to us when needed things for the room. The only thing I have good to say like I said is the bed was super comfy and staff was friendly and I did like the price of this hotel but would rather pay extra to get better service.
First off theirs a $100 security deposit just in case you smoke or damage anything upfront so if you use a third party make sure to call the hotel before then please. First things first the hotel smells so bad just walking to the elevator. The elevator was super raggedy sounded like it was about to breakdown every time you stepped in it the buttons barely work and have to press them 3-4 times to go down or up. The top floor smelt like garbage. Our hotel room was decent until we started settling in the wifi did not work batteries kept falling out the remote because it didn’t have a back on it our lamp shade was holding together for dear life. The bathroom light didn’t work cut out if it was on too long and didn’t come back on. DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel at all you definitely can find better.
Someone was robbed in the parking lot ten minutes before we got here, so we were greeted by three cop cars. The air conditioner didnt work. There was no garbage can in our room. There were no towels in the bathroom, but there were cockroaches in there. The Booking ad mentioned nothing about the $100 security deposit. There was a lot of trash in the hallways and in the stairwell.
Off the bat this hotel smelled like urine as soon as we walked in (dehydrated and eating asparagus bad). Once we got to our room that’s where things really went downhill. There was drawing all over the walls, half the lamps did not work, there was mold in the sink, there was hair and crumbs in the bed, and the AC unit had obviously not been cleaned in years as there was such a build up of dust and dirt on the filter that you’d think the place was abandoned. This hotel represents a significant public health violation and I would not recommend it to anyone. If you love yourself do not go here. Even if you hate yourself I’d still advise against it. OYO terrible. I want all my money back.
I booked this hotel for one night through Travelocity since it was the cheapest option and I was just traveling through and needed a bed and a few hours of sleep. The staff was friendly, but thats where it ended. The room was loud, there was a smoke detector right outside my door giving off the annoying low battery beep every 30 seconds, the toilet didnt flush properly, the entire vanity was broken off of the wall and sitting at an angle, the bed sheets were stained, and there was a party going on in the parking lot outside my room. I was shuttling a sports car from Texas to Maryland and hardly got any sleep as I was worried about the safety of my car in the parking lot below. The vehicle next to me had a busted rear side window and was full of junk as if someone was living in their car. Definitely not worth the ~$60 I paid for the night. There would have been plenty of other options had I been familiar with the area.Whatever happened to Motel-6 $19.95 Nationwide???
The room was full of mould & had holes in the wall from where they had been punched. The pictures on the website do not represent the room at all. The entire building stunk of cigarettes and weed. When we turned on the air conditioning it stunk out the entire room of cigarettes and each guest got a headache from it
I would not recommend a dog to stay here. The pictures you see on here is not how the hotel looks. They charged me $79 for one night with a $50 deposit fee. The room wasn’t worth $10. BEFORE YOU PAY ANYTHING TELL THEM TO SHOW YOU YOUR ROOMS. The only descent part about the hotel is the bathroom & that needs work too. When you pull-up the walls are pealing off. It looks like a destroyed house from Jumanji.The walls on the insides are dirty. They have broken busted walls & busted pipes. It looks nothing like the pictures! Also the elevator was out along with it smelling like weed! Our air didn’t work along with electrical sockets in the room! The window in our room was open and did not close all the way! Smelled terrible!
Literally the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. Had we not drove 12 hours and been completely exhausted and prepaid online I would have NEVER. 3rd floor smelled like feces and cigarettes. I wasn’t going to waste my time complaining as it was pretty evident the staff didn’t care. The towels were terrifyingly stiff and stained. I don’t know that they were washed. The walls inside the room were all smeared with stains. The elevator didn’t work so we had to carry luggage up three stairs. People constantly running and screaming down the halls all hours of the night. Literally the epitome of a crack hotel. Do yourself a favor. Don’t stay here.

Ended up not staying.. We arrived and got checked in. Went to our first room and there was water all over the floor and door was open. Went down stairs to let front desk know. So they gave us a different room. Going up to the other room ( the hallways smelled like smoke and roaches on the walls). Got to the other room and already had the feeling of not staying there ( booked 3 nights). Then after getting to the room and bags sat down we noticed fecal matter on the wall. Immediately went down to cancel reservations and check out. Run away from this place.
The most nasty trashy place to stay at the rooms where nasty toilet had stains on seat. The floors was nasty. Invested with roaches. Used the microwave downstairs and roaches coming out of microwave. The night worker he is very rude and not considerate at all. Roaches running free they might as well check in as one big family. Stink in there just nasty I don’t care if you pay 20.00 a night. You’d should want to santize the rooms and clean it up. They just nasty I wouldn’t even tell my worse enemies to stay there. Just so unsatisfied….
NASTIEST PLACE I’VE EVER BEEN!!! Staying here is the same as staying in a dumpster. Smelled so bad I literally had to switch rooms twice because I couldn’t stop gagging. I don’t even think this place has a cleaning crew. The floor in the hallway & rooms was DAMP. My feet were SLIPPING. Sheets were DAMP. Bed skirt & sheets has stains. Walls has stains. Bugs crawling on the bed. Hair in the bed. No trash can, not that you needed one bc the entire room was a pile of trash. First room had a chair at the desk but it literally looked like it had been pulled out of a dumpster & lit on fire. Mold spots. Definitely has mold in the walls. One of the rooms they tried to put us in had a door connecting to a different room & the lock was broken out of the door & the hole was filled with a wet paper towel. I didn’t ever take off my socks or use the covers & I still broke out in a rash after staying here. Literally a public health concern. This place needs to be shut down. Stay here at your own risk.
Horrible. I left early! This motel needs to be shut down! The red roof inn is better than this! Everything is bad! The elevator didn’t work properly! The sheets were torn! The curtains were torn as if a rat was in the room! I couldn’t take it no longer when the roaches started crawling! By far the worst place I’ve ever tried to lay my head! We would’ve been better sleeping in my car!

My stay was horrific!! The room wasnt clean, the bathroom toilet didnt flush and when asked for assistance no one bothered to help until it was our checkout time!!!! This isnt even the worst part, when you arrive you are asked to pay $100 deposit in case of smoking or damages. My husband and I Dont EVEN SMOKE and were told we couldnt have our DEPOSIT BACK!! WE WERE APPALLED!! When asked to speak with a manager we were told to call after 5pm and we did and of course NO ANSWER!!! I WOULD NEVER EVER Recommended THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE!!
This is a you get what you pay for kind of Hotel. Think I paid like $43 a Night and Im not gonna lie, they gave me $43 a Night kind of service. So have no illusions of them coming through your room everyday and cleaning up the room, cleaning up the bathroom, changing the sheets or emptying the trash can. To put it bluntly This aint that kind of Hotel. But for $43 a Night it was very very good for the price I paid. When looking to save money and to get decent/bare minimum service? This is your spot in the Memphis Area. And if Im ever back in town again looking to save money on where I stay?? Im definitely booking a room here.
The property looks ok from the outside but they have a problem with overbooking guests, management, roaches and bed bugs. When we got there there were at least 4 parties waiting on clean rooms and 2 parties asking for refunds due to cleanliness. At this time every other hotel at our price range was booked due to an event in the city so we chanced staying anyway, provided we would have a room because we payed in advance and a refund would not return for 11-14 days. The first room they put us in had severe misconstruction (the bathroom sink had sunk in, beds springs were loud) and roaches. We spotted at least 4 in different stages. They moved us in the morning and the second room was in good condition but no refrigerator or microwave. We did not pull up the sheets and spent most of the day out until the next day. When we got back, we crashed and then got got dinner so still no bed check. In the morning we discovered bed begs. The manager was apologetic and offered a 50% discount for inconveniences but Expedia stated that because we stayed the entire reservation, they would only give us 25%. Then miscalculated the 25% to be a smaller amount until corrected. False promises, bad judgement and lessons learned.
The entire place was filthy. It smelled of cigarette smoke all through the halls. Once in the room, there was big spots where the paint had peeled off in some areas. There were 2 sprinklers that were all rusted and questionable spots on the ceiling around them. (mold??) There were wires hanging out from where a smoke detector had once hung but was no longer there. There were 2 night stands with nothing on them. There was a desk that had 1 lamp and a very old and peeling gaming chair. That 1 lamp was for the whole room. (There was no other lighting). The sheets had holes. There were no covers. (I dont think I would have used them anyway!) There was a TV and a remote (with no back on it, of course). There was the sound of doors opening and closing all night. (They were loud enough to wake a sound sleeper like me.). The bathroom had a dim light over the sink. The floor and tub were grimy/dirty looking. Overall, I would have rated it a negative star but that isnt an option.
Terrible. The hotel was dirty and in bad shape. No refrigerator or microwave in the rooms.People were loud in the halls all night and in the early morning.We checked out early and were told that we would get our money back for the remaining day but did not receive anything.I would rather sleep in my car than stay there again.
Update: After a few days of back and forth communication with the hotel, they refunded half of what we paid. They also asked me to change or remove my negative review. If you only employ your customer service so people will remove negative reviews, then thats not customer service.I had a reservation for a room with 2 queen beds. When I arrived, they only had a single king bed room. Also, we chose this hotel specifically because it had a pool. Nothing on the website or anywhere in the hotel indicates that the pool is closed. During check-in, nothing was said about the pool being closed. When I checked the pool, the doors were locked and then we were told it was closed when we asked. Furthermore, our room has no smoke alarm, the sprinkler is taped over, the bathroom light is exposed, an outlet is exposed and snow-covered with duct tape, the dresser is broken, the towel rack is falling off the wall, and there is paint and water stains on the wall. Additionally, they tried to charge me for my service dog.
Horrible experience! The shirt white lady with red hair a nose piercing and tattoos everywhere will make you WANT TO SMACK HER! She so hostile and rude for no reason at all! The website says 24/7 check ins but when my family got there we were told extremely rudely that they Dnt do check ins until 3. We aren’t from here so we literally had to sit outside with our children for 5 hours in 80+ degrees. So 3 o’clock comes and I go to check in the short white lady with the red hair stops me and says VERY RUDELY wat am I back for & that if I hadn’t prepaid that I wouldn’t be getting a room. Then she says they need $100$ security deposit that may or may not get refunded to me in 24/48 hours.?!?? Like what? We didn’t even stay we just wasted 5 hours inconveniently waiting plus we didn’t even use the reservation we went down the street to the red roof in and stayed there. This lady has the nastiest attitude to be dealing with guest. I mean she talks to you like you are bothering her because you want to check in. It’s ridiculous because if you can actually get past her and get into a room it’s quit nice inside but she makes you want to take your business ELSEWHERE!
Terrible place to stay. Place had roaches the tub was dirty & not cleaned upon entering.I asked for a different room which was slightly better seen a roach in my bathroom later that night the pool is GREEN & my keys fell in the raggedy elevator & the man in night shift doesn’t do anything but sit & be on FaceTime. He didn’t even call the elevator people for me I had to wait until shift change at 7:30am to get my keys.However the two ladies who work mornings were very nice & understanding. Wouldn’t stay here EVER AGAIN!!!

Stay Away! Dreadful Experience at Yoyo HotelI had high hopes for my stay at Yoyo Hotel, but it turned into a nightmare within minutes. The moment I entered, it was evident that the place was poorly maintained. Chipped paint, a pervasive stench of cigarettes and weed in the lobby, along with a disturbing presence of drug addicts both inside and outside, created an unsafe environment.To add to the dismay, encounters with two extremely rude staff members left me disheartened. The room was a disgrace – unclean, malfunctioning TV, a dirty bathroom, and mirrors that hadnt seen cleaning in ages. On top of everything, the doors were hard to close, adding to the feeling that this place is more of a crack house than a hotel.It was undoubtedly the worst hotel experience of my life. I couldnt bear to stay more than 15 minutes despite planning for six days. I strongly advise against booking with Yoyo or its affiliated hotels. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs.
Very disappointed in this hotel and their staff. Checked in and out in a matter of minutes. Cockroaches and bugs in the room, hair on the pillowcase, sheets were cheap, no fitted sheet, water stains and possibly mold on the ceiling, holes in the wall. In our hurried escape, my daughter left her Nintendo Switch and games behind and the staff was kind enough to steal it. Could smell someone smoking weed. Our booking agent called multiple times to get a refund for us but the staff does not answer the phone. This hotel has cost me almost $600. Hopefully this review will cost them some money. This place is disgusting, dirty, untrustworthy and creepy!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!
Wouldnt recommend. Very dangerous place to stay and our bathtub had feces in it and there were stains all over the walls and we had to cover a hole in the wall cause we could see into the other room and they could see us. The workers made me feel very uncomfortable as they choose to talk inappropriately to the customers and flirt.
First off....... Its pointless of reserving your room online when you can just pay for it in cash, because online doesnt tell you you have to pay a CASH DEPOSIT OF 50 DOLLARS....... WHEN I CHECKED IN, I HAD TO PUT DOWN 100 BECAUSE HE DIDNT HAVE CHANGE FOR IT. LOL 3 PILLOWS ON A KING SIZE BED WHEN ITS SUPPOSED TO BE FOR 2 PEOPLE, MY BOYFRIEND WENT TO THE FRONT DESK AND PRETTY MUCH HAD TO ARGUE WITH THE FRONT DESK BECAUSE HE WANTED TO BE CHEAP AND JUST GIVE HIM ONE PILLOW, LIKE..... IM PREGNANT !!! SO HE DID MENTION THAT TO HIM AND THE FRONT DESK WAS LIKE OH SINCE YOU SAID THAT OKAY HERES TWO EXTRA. (SHAKE MY HEAD).....THE ROOMS ARE EH ITS JUST A ROOM HONESTLY, BUT GOOD THING IS NO BED BUGS THANK GOD FOR THAT..... IN THE HALL WAY heading to our room, CAME ACROSS ONE OR TWO BED trash cans in the hall to catch the dripping water since it was raining and the roof had electrical wires and missing roof pieces, it definitely looked like a bad health hazard. Im not pleased with this place so I definitely have very little stars on here.
There were roaches in the room .Our feet were black from walking barefoot, just from the bed to the bathroom only a couple times. MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT IS THE $100 DEPOSIT FOR incidentals that I was charged and never refunded!!! Only after I checked in did I read all the reviews, over a dozen reviews ,claiming credit card theft by means of deposit!!!!
The outside appearance was okay. The issue was that the first room we were giving was already being used. If I could post the video I would. The second room was not cleaned and the bathroom floor looked liked it hadnt been moped ever. The wall above the mirror was cracked and swollen from possible water damage. Also, little bugs were come from the crack in the wall. I do know all the rooms were not like this but the two we were given were. I asked for a manager and was told he came in at 11 and he never called or came to our room. The phone didnt work and was also dirty. I couldnt find a contact to call the hotel or anything. I showed the young lady at the front desk the pictures and she just said she was sorry. After talking awhile she did ask if we wanted to switch rooms again but it was already very late and I was tired.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!! They are the worst there service is NOT good. I regret ever booking a room with them, The red haired lady from the frost desk said I was going to get a full refund & now they are refusing to give me my refund & are stating that it is not possible for me to get my refund. Please save yourself the trouble from booking with them & dont believe a word they say. They will tell you anything to get you to leave them alone.
Bad. Can’t go downstairs in lobby. feel like prison. They’ll call police if u do. Wi-Fi don’t work good. Exercise room ain’t open. Pool ain’t open. They have nothing!!!!! They don’t clean up on time. Garbage is on floor in hall way until the nite time. I think it needs new owners. Or shut it down. Cuz they don’t know wat they doing.wish I could get my money back. But hey. It is wat it is. Cheap. Doe found a bed bug but I didn’t report it.didn’t see no more but that one. But u get wat u paid for. Oh n the door stay locked so u have to walk around to the front just to get in n out. SMH. This hotel should be torn down. It is from my nightmares. I didn’t feel safe at all and I had my dogs with me, even they were unsettled! There was stains on the sheets, walls and towels. It was completely unsanitary. It was disgusting. The staff were rude and unhelpful, and there were some crazy people around the area which was very scary. Do not go here!
Nothing like the photos. The front desk attendants had no customer service. Our TV was glitching, the remote didn’t even pair with the TV in our room, there were roaches, dirty sheets, the list could go on.
This was my 1st time Staying at an OYO Hotel. I would not be in a hurry to go to another one. The staff very very friendly and helpful. The property was something else. The was trash all over the parking lot, The furniture in the room was well worn. The top draw of the dresser was completely missing, and the leather on the arm of the desk chair was thread bare.. On the door to one of the rooms there last a list of candy (I hope that what it really was) taped to the with the prices of each item.
This was one of the worst hotels Ive ever stayed at. The rooms were not clean, the room was so humid the floors and furniture were moist with humidity the hallways were wet due to humidity. The parking lot didnt have good security cars were broken into and vandalized. They didnt have any baggage carts. The front desk workers were not helpful. If u can I would advise you to stay somewhere else.
The absolute worst experience ever with a hotel. They canceled my reservation the day of after I had already traveled to the city plus charged me a cancelation fee. I had to make numerous phone calls in order to get my money back. They then booked me another room by phone and when I arrived at hotel they told me they didnt have any rooms available. They then miraculously found me a room and charged me more than my original room rate plus the $100 deposit. Once I got to 4th floor finally since all elevators were broken,, the stairway and hallways were disgusting. There was food on the floor up and down the hallway. Upon entering the room, the bed was not made and sheets were thrown over in the chair. I called front desk who then put me in another room. This was funny after being told they didnt have rooms but now all of a sudden had 2. Upon checking out I was told I would get my $100 deposit back but they only refunded $50 and said that housekeeping said we were smoking in room. That was a lie because we dont smoke. After making several attempts to talk to manager who was always conveniently gone at different times of the day, I have now had to open a dispute with my bank. DO NOT STAY AT THIS DIRTY HOTEL. GOOD THING WE BROUGHT OUR OWN BODY WASH BECAUSE WE DIDNT EVEN HAVE SOAP IN OUR ROOM. JUST UNBELIEVABLE.
We didnt make it to the room yet. Got here at 2pm checkin starts at 3pm. We decided to go ask if we can checkin early and no early checking on the weekend (its Friday). So we sat in the lobby to wait. The lady said we had to leave the lobby because it was getting closed for cleaning. We are truck drivers so we went sit in the truck. The entire time a big child was sleeping in a chair in the lobby. She wasnt frendly at all. The place did smell clean. The bathroom had very little toilet paper.
Booked for 2 nights. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful and the check in was smooth. Then the experience was down right terrible after that. The whole place reeked of weed. When we got to our room, the toilet was not clean, tub dirty, hair on pillows of both beds, smoke alarm needed a battery change, lighting was horrible. We left the place within 20 minutes of checking in. The front desk staff was apologetic and refuded for one day and gave a number to call for a refund for the second night. Waiting for that refund.
Very nice and respectful people its very peacefull only thing I think could be better is the security but other than that I truly enjoyed my stay and will come again.keep up the Great Work Guys
Lets make this quick and easy.-Upon arrival there was no one at the service desk. We waited for 15+ minutes.- We had early check-in reservations for 12-1pm arrival time... We still didnt get to check-in until 3.- The first room had a VERY squeaky bed, MOLD on the ceiling. The bathroom was improperly cleaned.- The towels were not clean. I went to dry off after a shower and noticed a long thick blonde hair (my hair is black) on it.- The hair dryer wasnt even attached properly to the wall. I barely touched it and it came off the wall completely.- The fridge didnt work.-There was a huge dent in the side of the microwave.- We switched rooms...- We got to the second room and pulled the bed sheets back and noticed head hair, PUBIC HAIR and crumbs all in the bed.My boyfriend called down to get fresh sheets and we were told we were going to have to make the bed ourselves with the fresh sheets.At this point, we were done we ended up leaving.Dont waste your money.
Bed was comfortable enough. Said they have a pool, was behind locked doors. They didn’t have extra towels. No mini fridge. Mirror was cracked. Smoke detectors were ripped out of the wall. Would not recommend unless your looking for a cheap place to stay.
Roach City ceiling cracked the service is very rude I paid online with Priceline which I would never do again I try to get my money back but they would not let me so I had to stay at this hotel then on top of paying online they want a 50$ deposit I will never come here again
The rooms were dirty, curtains ripped and light bulbs missing. No microwave or fridge in the room either. There were ants in the room and tv had no cable channels. We stayed because we were told there were no refunds but they would put in for a discount. Couldnt tell us what the discount would be but it would be applied to the card in 7 to 10 days. Terrible stay.
I called to cancel my reservation after reading the reviews one month before I was due to arrive. This motel not only charged me anyway five days for staying, but they double charged me charging both my debit card for a 5 day stay and also my PayPal account for the same 5 day stay! I Never stayed there, the reviews were too bad and I called and canceled the reservations a whole month ahead!
Absolutely awful. Would not be refunded for a reservation I made 5 mins before (wanted to cancel because they were going to charge me additional fees) spent hours on the phone with them to no end. Then left a review and then said to contact them. DONT BELIEVE THEIR MESSAGES SAYING THEYRE GOING TO MAKE IT RIGHT. It was just more of nothing. Im down $70 through complete fault of the company.
Only thing that was good about the hotel was the front desk staff. The rooms were disgusting, there were roaches crawling on the walls, mold in the bathroom, walls in the halls were filthy, there were residences in there walking around with night gowns on and children running all over the halls. I literally had to leave go to Walmart and get lysol, bug spray, and clean sheets. My car wouldve been better to sleep in than this hotel. Never again! I literally was afraid to allow my 2 year to walk in the room. Also, they charge a 100 deposit that wasnt mentioned on the website
OMG!!!! Where do I even start!!!!! Not a good spot to bring your family to stay. If you reading this review please take heed and to let you know you have been warned. I have read most recent reviews of this place after making transaction for reservation and I am so disgusted that I brought my family here to stay experienced the same things that the reviews are explaining. First hand… the ad was 61$ once I drove 4 hrs here our total was 171$. That was the deposit added plus had my little shihtzu dog fee added. Which wasn’t explained until I got here. Lobby was clean freshly Modeled. A few feet past the desk to the hall…. Toward the elevator…. OMG!!!! Elevator has spot spats on it hallway was unclean had marjuana smell all thru this place. Walked in our room had this foul smoke odor the roof outside room window had trash on roof. No tv working they said it was becuz if the storm but then found one channel which was sports. No microwave or fridge holes in the wall. Bed squeaked like crazy. Long black hair was found in my bed. I guess it came from my feet from the nasty uncleaned floor. Water spots and hair found on bathroom mirror. All kind of hair on the toilet seat underneath. One toilet paper roll and that was almost gone look like it has been in the room for a long time. Not one single Mirror in room were cleaned. The pillow inside the pillow case was old and stain dirty and wreaked bad smell. We only needed one night to stay for a funeral but this will be the last time we step foot in this place. Please take heed to the rest of the reviews like mine. Do not even stop. Pass on by this place! Not worth the stay! Not sure why they charge a 100$ deposit for this trash… I guess they pocket that if you ruin the room cuz this place doesn’t seem legit.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! THEY HAVE BED BUGS AND REFUSED TO GIVE ME A REFUND!! ELEVATOR KEPT GETTING STUCK WITH PEOPLE IN IT!! We checked in at 4pm and I woke up at 2am to bugs crawling on me!! MOLD AND BUGS UNDER THE MATTRESS. Due to a storm we have been without power for 4 days! I left them and there! I would rather my kids and myself sleep in our car!
Horrible experience after checking in at the front desk was told elevator wasnt working. Once I climbed stairs to the room I wasnt in there but 5min when I seen the roaches crawling. I instantly left and was told Id get refunded my money the next day. Called that afternoon after work and guess what was given the run around and got taken for $200 tried to get at the least a day refunded was told I would only to not get it then be ignored. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Trust me it may seem like a deal from the pictures but looks with them are definitely deceiving so please save yourself

Roaches falling from the ceiling...the manager tried to pretend her granddaughter was a customers child who spilled a can drink in the way of a handicapped lady walking on a walker. No one in the hotel felt the need to assist the handicap lady around the wet spots in the floor. Staff need to keep their lips off of other people children especially since COVID does not discriminate. $150 smokers deposit fee was discussed in front of other customers amongst staff. If this is a non smoking hotel, that need to be stated BEFORE reservation and signs should be showing at the front desk. Staff has the nastiest attitude. this place would be great if shut down.
This hotel was not worth the amount of money I paid to stay there. Obviously it most be in the process of being upgraded so I would suggest that they close it down until it is brought up to standards, especially if youre going to charge those prices. I am very disappointed because the pictures online are so bogus until it is almost a crime. The manager needs to gain some managerial skills, I verbally in person, asked him twice to resolve the issue with the television and he never did. SHAME ON YOU SIR!!! I am definitely going to scratch that OYO off my list and will NEVER stay there again😱😠😡😖😵
Not a Great experience staying here. The smell in the elevator was disgusting. The door in the room between my room and the room next door would not shut. I told the lady at the front desk and she rudely said that the door next to us was locked so not to worry. Then when I went to use the restroom the toilet had toilet paper in it and it wouldnt flush, so I had to go to the front desk and get a plunger and plunge the toilet myself. Terrible experience!!!
🪳🪳🪳🪳 Roach Motel better bring the biggest can of Raid you can find. Clogged drains so you know what that means even with shower shoes the water will rise above your feet. Oh yeah they got a crazy Karen please dont slap Karen with the Red hair. And the rooms are not as advertised at all disgusting. I didnt even turn the bed back I slept in my comfy that is extremely oversized
We didn’t even stay. The pictures on the website is nothing like the actual hotel. It was horrible windows had either tore or no curtains at all. The windows were secured locked with bed rails. They had fixed window seals with duct tape. The ceilings had mold. Graffiti was on the outside of the hotel. We got there at 5:36pm and was still told we had to wait 20mintues while the room was still being cleaned. It was so horrible we wouldn’t rather we were refunded our money back or not. The website said there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room but there wasn’t. The clerk who checked us in was professional and she was nice. The room was clean and neat. Bring your own soap because whats there does not lather. Affordable prices and good for a quick overnight stay but nothing more.
This was one of the worst hotels I have ever been to! When I got there I found out that they shared refrigerators and microwaves for the rooms. Some rooms had them some Rooms did not. Then when I get to the elevator it is an old elevator and only one. I go to my room and when I walk in there is a desk TV bed and bathroom. I didn’t stay long I dropped off my bags and ran back out as I am on vacation. When I came back I went to take a shower and got tired and said never mind. I woke up the next morning to go take my shower and I see an old dry balled up rag on the side. So that lets me know my room was not properly cleaned and I was very disgusted. I called and canceled the remainder of my stay. I would not recommend. At all 0 stars if I could.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO STAY HERE. I booked via hotels.com. The system was glitchy so while I needed two rooms it would only give me one. Showed up with my children and was told by Laura the attendant that they only had a king bed (not the double I had reserved nor any extra rooms for me to reserve). I am Deaf so they took advantage of my disability and did NOT provide ADA effective communication accommodations (breaking federal law). Laura told me they would refund me. I went to a different hotel per her suggestion. NOW they refuse to refund me saying I no-showed. DAYS of run around and they still refuse to refund saying I declined the room. THIS WAS NEVER COMMUNICATED TO ME IN FACT THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD REFUND ME. This is discrimination against disability, this is fraud and theft.
Its a NO for me.. 1 night and i was done. Kids yelling & screaming all night. Sounded like someone was trying to open my door.Roaches smashed on the walls. Bathroom sink leaking water from the pipes. Toilet flush when it wants to. Hallway tile well you see the pictures. Definitely a trip hazard. That hotel needs a lot of work.Sn: I was told its a trap hotel.
Used soap left in the bathroom. Got told they dont have any towels anymore. Didnt got my security deposit back. Tv didnt work and only on pillow even tho we booked a room with two people.
Please do not waste your money!! If you’re paying about $40 a night it’s going to come with some consequences!! There were roaches all over the place, the AC unit didn’t even work, we asked to switch rooms and they told us they didn’t have any more available even though the parking lot was basically empty. There was BLOOD on the sheet and the curtain. Thankfully we are only here for one SHORT night. But please do not waste your money.
This place is HORRIBLE! I wasn’t there 45 mins and I checked out! Guys was just hanging out in front of the hotel, I was afraid to walk by them. I should’ve turned around then! The locks didn’t work on the door in my room! I placed the ironing board under the door handle and wedged it against the wall! Then I noticed that it was roaches crawling around, that’s when I decided to leave! I was afraid to stay and afraid to leave out my room, but I decided to leave! The elevator was broken, so I had to take the stairs, there was 3 young guys hanging out in the stairway. One guy didn’t want to move to let me pass by, so I had to squeeze by him! That place needs to be CONDEMNED! It reminds of the BATES MOTEL, it gave me the creeps!!
Pool was closed. There was some type of bug on the bed. I checked out 10 minutes after checking in. The good thing is the location. Plenty of places to eat so that you dont have to think about going back to the hotel. Oh. Im giving 2 stars because of the staff. The staff was the bright spot. You definitely will get 5 star service.
Do not go to Oyo hotel. They did something to my account and credit card. I checked out later than 11 a.m. because my sink and tub was not working. They were both broke and stopped up. They were that way when I checked into the hotel room and they told me that they would send maintenance immediately. No one ever came. Finally on check out day I told them that my sink and tub had not worked for two days they said that they would send maintenance immediately. No one ever came once again when I did check out after 11 the front desk clerk argued with me about checking out after 11. I told her that I was waiting for maintenance to come and fix my tub and sink because I didnt want to be charged or blamed for it. She did not care at all. And now they have blocked or tampered with my credit card.
This place is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It took over 20 minutes to check in. The floors are disgusting. People are walking all over the parking lot. No security there. The smoke detectors are constantly beeping most likely due to needing a battery. The tv doesnt work in the room. Price is great if you are willingto gamble on your safety for yourself and your belongings.
The linen on bed was paper thin. The hallways were scorching hot. The outlet that the tv, lamp and microwave were plugged in didn’t work
Very run down, fixtures, hinges extremely rusted, rained a lot and foyer was leaking water from the ceiling as if a shower was above, elevator was run down, front desk made me pay a cash deposit and then in the morning checking out they didnt have the cash and had to call someone. One of the worst experiences Ive had. Reported to the Shelby County government. Run and no doubt owned by foreigners. This place should not be open.
A bare minimum hotel. No microwave in rooms, no towel replacement, and the air conditioning leaked water on the floor. I reported the leak and no one looked at it during my 10 day stay. Lots of spiders around the room and the pool area smelled like piss. Bed was comfortable.
Reserved a room online and had an emergency so I had to come back home (2 hours away) I went up to the hotel and personally explained & canceled and the man told me he canceled and I would not be charged. (The room was reserved for less than 30 mins) My card was STILL charged and when i called their first excuse was that i didn’t go up to the hotel to cancel. When i explained that I DID, their second excuse was that it’s non refundable. never got my money back. Do not recommend.
Worst Experience Ever, But its expected. This is a crack motel. Meaning crackheads and their dealers meet here for activities that are off illegal capacity. The second floor smelled like smoke and the staff is rude. I would only recommend this place is you plan on doing some illegal activity.
Loud, VERY LOUD, the hall smelled like marajuana, girls were coming & going until well after 5am, dirty, I was charged a $100 deposit & they have not refunded. I see many other complaints of the same thing happening at this hotel. Feeling unsafe in a dirty environment was bad enough - getting ripped off & lied to is another.
When we looked at the pictures online it looked good, said it had a fridge, blow dryer, microwave excited to stay until when walking to our room there’s black mold on the first floor leaking ceilings and then when we go into our room there’s even more mold the bathrooms nasty everything is horrible, we asked for a different room and the tv wouldn’t work, even more mold the toilet wouldn’t stop running nothing, said there was a pool/ hot tub nothing, and there was a burnt cigarette hole in the cover DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
I was charged a 100.00 deposit when I checked in.... The front desk person told me I would get it back when I checked out. When I checked out I was told by the same front desk clerk that I would get it back in 72 hours. I waited a week and called the hotel and was told it would be 7 to 14 business days... I waited a few more days and called the corporate number to see why it was taking so long for me to get my deposit back. The corporate personal told me that I would have to call the hotel to see why. I decided to go back up to the hotel. I called the hotel and when I asked about my deposit, they front desk person that answered the phone hung up in my face. On my arrival, I Iasked about my deposit and I was accused of smoking and was told that I lost my deposit. I didnt even smoke in the room.... The hallways at this hotel smell like smoke. I was lied to about my deposit and accused of smoking to justify keeping my money. The condition of the room wasnt anything like they advertised. Their were holes in the walls, my room was extremely dusty And their was excessive water on the floor when I got to my room.
First, when I walked in, the lady at the front desk was eating a chicken tender behind the counter and didnt bother to put it down while I stood there waiting to be helped. When she finished chewing and I was checked in I went to my room, which had this awful smell to it, not only that it didnt seem like the room had been cleaned at all since covid started other than minor surface cleaning. I had to squat to use the toilet. I couldnt find the tv remote in the room, tried to call the front desk with no answer, and when I walked down was rudely told that in order to give me a remote shed have to know the type of tv. I got back to the room and the remote didnt work so I turned the tv on manually. I tried to take a shower but water got all over the floor before i even got in. There are drawers missing out of the dressers and the other ones didnt open at all. I stayed maybe 3 hours before I checked out...which was actually was the one time the front desk lady was nice to me....Ive stayed at oyo hotels before, but dont waste your money here, its nasty
The worst hotel ever. If we would had read the reviews ahead of time. Never would i gone to this hotel . We were so tired driving 12 hrs straight. Plus we can a concert to go to. Thats why we schedule it for 2 days. Hopefully i get my refund for the 2nd day.We had a man pounding at our door 1:30 am. He wouldnt go away. After my husband told him to go away. No phone to call. We use our cell phone no one answered at the front desk. Bugs in the room. Ripped curtains. We were next to the backdoor. suppose be locked and used as emergency exit . You can hear ppl coming in that door.Might been homeless ppl or who knows who. I would never walk thru the hallway after 9:00pm. Careful ppl b4 you decide to get a room. ..looks nice when you walk in . Until you walk thru the halls and see the room. We really felt scared couldnt sleep after the pounding at the door.
I booked and paid in advance for a room for 2 nights flying in from PHX to MEM. Arrived in Mem at 12am and Caught a Lyft to hotel. Upon arrival Desk Agent says that my reservation has been cancelled. They are sold out. He also noted that he was so surprised that I did not get angry and catch a fit with him because this happens all the time and people act horrible.My husband and I end up calling area hotels and walking to several some sold out some too expensive finally about 2 mile to find a room at Budget Inn. It was also $80 more - a financial inconvenience!!Never ever book at Oyo anywhere because the Desk Agent at Oyo and other hotels say they do this all the time to people.Also the hotel looks a wreck outside not recommended at all very disappointed and shocked at the disrespect of cancelling our stay!🥵💔
Hotel looks nothing like photos. See attached lobby photo. Caution tape and major construction. Just disgusting in general. Wish I had read these reviews before booking. I booked this hotel sight unseen through hotels.com. After arriving at hotel and seeing it in person, I decided not to stay and went to another hotel. I tried to get a refund through hotels.com, but they refused. I will definitely not be using hotels.com anymore if this is the quality of hotels they offer.
My family and I elected not to stay at Oyo. When we first arrived at 10pm there were over 20 people loitering in the parking lot who were obviously drunk. Then after I checked in the front desk employee and another person were having an inappropriate personal conversation about drug tests (ie getting tested for AIDS and other diseases); I wasn’t sure if the whole context because they were picking up an earlier conversation, but it didn’t need to be done there. There were other people having loud conversations and swearing by the microwave as well; I made the decision I wasn’t bringing my family to this hotel, but was told I couldn’t be refunded. Didn’t matter, my wife and child left as I could see the lobby was dirty and I did not trust the rooms the be better.
Apon arrival oyo wanted a 100 dollar deposit which was no problem at all. Until we was checking out. Thats when they refused to give back the deposit due to smoking in the room they said. Which me or my gf smoke. After contacting the corporate office about this matter it was a waist of time. I still have yet to receive my 100 cash deposit. So be careful staying there. The ladies in the front Erika are crooks.
If I could give this hotel ZERO starts I would! This was the worse experience EVER. I made reservations well in advance! Drove 7hours for them to say they are booked....HUH?? Not to mention the employee was there alone on his second day! Okay so I find another hotel! Woke up this morning to a charge on my card and an email saying I was a no show! And there is never manager on property for some reason! I’ve been getting the run around in getting my money back! Poor business practice!
I did not read the reviews before now, but I definitely should have. I will NEVER book this hotel again! I called to make reservations over the phone and was told that I couldnt. I booked two rooms online. When we arrived, we were told we didnt have a reservation. I showed my e-mail confirmation, and the front desk rep replied with Im sorry maam. Youre not the first tonight. They keep letting people book when were overbooked. He assured me that the two $1 charges would roll off as that is just the hotels way of confirming that the card was active, but I wouldnt be charged. I had to find two different hotels 12 minutes apart. We are females (not being sexist, but there is safety in numbers). The next day, I get an e-mail that I was a no show. I asked how can I resolve the issue as well as if I needed to go to the hotel. I was told no. Get an e-mail two days later saying that I was not due a refund. After having the issue escalated a second time by a supervisor who told me that it was a system glitch, I still was told that I wasnt due a refund. Long story short, I thank God for my bank because they took care of it for me in 24 hours as opposed to waiting since April 24th for a refund. Good luck to yall. Youll need it if you keep doing business this way!
The bed was not made up, there was trash on the floor and a worn out luggage cart was in the room. Bathroom looked clean and supplies were stocked. The attendees were confused of the reason why the room was not prepared to be used by customers. The out door cameras were not set to the parking area, only to the front door and driving Entrance
The pictures on the booking app were nothing like reality. Graffiti covered walls, outside was terrible with empty room windows open and curtains hanging out. No one was at front desk when we arrived. Had to look for someone. She came out of nowhere, eating something and wearing house shoes. The only saving grace was that the room itself wasn’t too bad.
Im absolutely appaled at the managemt, and staffing. I booked a king room yesterday, and added that I have a service dog in my special notes when booking. I checked in and when I got my stuff and headed to our room, I was abruptly stopped by staff and who rudly called me out in front of a lobby full of people, mind you I have severe PTSD and Anxiety and said, You have a dog. Which I replied yes I have a SERVICE dog. She then told me she was charging my card extra for the dog. I told her that was against the laws for service animals since she is my medical equipment. She tried telling me i need to present paperwork stating that shes a service dog, which is agaisnt the law, and no registered service dog is actually protected by the ADA and DOJ as they dont recognize any registrations. This morning I was not able to deal with the manger like I was told Id be able to. They tried to charge me extra for my medical equipment, I didnt get the room we booked. Do not stay here if you have a service animal! They told me it is their policy by owners to charge extra for SERVICE ANIMALS!!
Stayed there 3 times. Every room we had the floor was very dirtyThe 2nd room that we got had black mold that was just painted over but it was seeping through the paint. The managed and the girl that works at night were very friendly but there was another employee who was a girl at the front desk the last time I checked out was very rude and ignored me for 5 minutes.
No microwave,no refrigerator,no extra lock for the door,no security or cameras to protect your cars.For thr cost you would expect something besides a bed and toliet. This was my very first time booking with this site and I will NEVER do it again. To begin, I booked a room for 11-23 to 11-24. Simple right? No, my reservation was changed to 11-24 to 11-25. I contacted the company and instead of taking initiative to change it the rep debated with me on if I actually made the reservation for the right day. I proceeded to screenshot my original reservation and sent it to their escalations department through email. I was told by the rep there was nothing he could do, I should just cancel the reservation and try again. I proceeded to do just that, even found it cheaper through a promo code. I arrived at the hotel on time, which is an OYO hotel I might add, just to be told by the front desk rep they did not have anymore rooms available but were in the process of making calls to let everyone know. She then told me there was nothing she could do and I had to book with another hotel. I received a call the next day from OYO, I explained to the rep what happened and he informed me that I could call before booking again and theyll SEE if they could apply a different code😒
Worse place weve ever stayed, unfortunately all our money went into staying here, paid 160 pet fees and 100 security deposit, go to check out and they refuse to give security deposit back to us, they said my cat sprayed, he aint even old enough and I got video of curtains no stains if he did spray there would be stains. Stayed 14 days in this place, people arguing and fighting all hours of the day, drug use going on even though signs everywhere not tolerated and can result in eviction, NEVER EVER WILL WE STAY AT AN OYO EVER AGAIN🤢🤮🤢
The first room we were given had not yet been cleaned (bed unmade) so we had to get another room.At first glance, the 2nd room appeared clean and updated. However, upon stepping into the bathroom, I noticed that the bathroom door was not secured on the lower hinge. Nails were sticking out along the hinge-side of the door. It was literally hanging only from the top hinge and would not close. The bathroom doorknob was also not secured and was basically useless. It appeared as if someone had literally kicked in the door. Dust and grime was also in the corners of the bathroom.The bed was also EXTREMELY squeaky...and I mean literally with lying down and just rolling over while sleeping. It sounded like a rusty trampoline with even the lightest touch...did not sleep well here.The paint was peeling/chipping and large, obvious scuff marks were throughout the bathroom, around fire sprinkler and smoke alarm.One of the reasons we chose to stay here was the free continental breakfast...however, the breakfast room was under construction and no breakfast was available. There was also no fitness room as advertised. The pool was getting plenty of use by a bunch of kids running through the tiled hallways and elevator barefoot. Lots of wet puddles everywhere.
Where do I begin about this lousy stay. First off you have to ask them continuously to clean your room , change towels and linen etc. .... The staff for the most part is very unprofessional got kids or other nonemployed members of family hanging around. A mess. A terrible experience overall.Oh by the way about twelve vehicles were broken in to during my stay.
Added addition, we asked for a refrigerator on the phone, if one was available, they said give me minute to check, came back and said yes. After waiting for 3hrs after check in to get the room, they said we would have to wait until tomorrow to get the refrigerator. Ok, today, asked about the refrigerator, white lady said its something they say online to get the rooms booked 🙄 she cant pull a refrigerator from another room to accommodate the customer, were just the logo, . Its what it is she cant help us. This is the kind of stuff that get people fussed at. One side is brand new with white people, the other side is with black people lacking all the necessity. Absolutely, the very worst hotel Ive stayed in. Thats actually saying allot, Im in a different hotel every weekend on business travel. It has been months and they still have not refunded my $100.00 deposit. They have ignored my calls and my booking agencies calls. Its really a wonder how a place like this is still in business. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and never had someone cheat me out of my deposit, its lowly and pathetic. I even had one of the guys check my room to make sure everything was in check. He did. Then told me theyd refund my deposit in a few days. Please do not stay here.
Overall the room was okay. However, the door to the room was difficult to lock, and by the third night it didn’t lock at all. The door also let a lot of noise into the room, which was problematic as there was a family who let their demon spawn run screaming through the halls at 1 in the morning. The hallway perpetually smelled like someone had been hitting multiple blunts at the same time. As for the staff, they’re nice enough, but the receptionist could use a refresher course on guest security. My boyfriend had to go down and get the room keys redone twice and both times the desk clerk failed to check his ID. Being a former hospitality worker myself, this is an unacceptable breach of guest security, and one that would have gotten me fired from my hotel.
This hotel sucked ! They need to update their pictures because its false advertising, and not to mention a whole murder took place at the hotel and none of the residents were notified about it. They need to shut this hotel down quick and fast
We spent the night here this weekend for a wrestling show. That being said we live in texas and the staff knew this.When we checked out Sunday morning they did not give us our 100 dollar deposit. They never checked the room and said it is on camera of the man giving us the 100. When i asked them what time the camera shows or what actions we were doing they could not describe and put me on hold would not pick up the phone. They are liars and will lie to keep money if they know you do not live in the state.The door was broke before we came and managment had to come screw the door back together. They then switched their story from saying that its on camera of me recieving the money to there was damage to the room thats why we did not give money backvery dishonest people

No shower curtain, 1 towel for 2 people, no hand towel and no wash clothes. Dogs barking, no bathmat. Bed was comfortable, security in the parking lot was nice to see.no phone in room and no one at desk when I checked out
The worst HOTEL I EVER STAY IN ,,no phone in the room,,,NO BLANKETS!!Walls peeling,,I STAY IN ROOM 220 and a spider web also stay there in that same room over my head,,WILL NEVER PLAN TO STAY AGAIN!!!
I paid for a week and it was okay but when i made it in the room no microwave or refrigerator. They have a public microwave 🤢 too many germs. Other than that the bed was big and soft and comfy!
So due to the power outage in Memphis, my sister took it upon her self to get me and my kids a room with them , after booking and paying for it, she wanted to send me a screenshot of the booking information, she accidentally canceled it, I was already in the car on my way there, we call customer service within 5 minutes , they said they can’t give us the room back or a refund for the money. Customer service tries to connect us to the front desk but Erica or whatever her name is , is too busy to speak with me. Greedy people that’s all I can say !
My Money was stolen from this place & it’s been 1 month & still never received it. Left my number for the manager & was never given a call back. It’s pretty empty in the hotel as well which makes it scary & the room wasn’t that bad. It could have been better though. All in all don’t stay here.
The hotel is disgusting, water was leaking from my bathroom sink. The tub looked like it had blood stains in it when I got there. The room did not have microwave or fridge. Walls were dirty, had hand prints on them. Theres a first time for everything and I will not be back there.
Pretty much a dump. Halp the hotel in not air conditioned. There are absolutely no signs as to how to find your room, it took me a half hour lugging our suitcases through the hotel because all the entrances are blocked except one. No map of the hotel...The help at the front desk does not offer much info and seems stumped by questions like is the pool open in the morning?. Pool looked about a quarter full and nor safe to swim. There are 4 or 5 other hotels right on the street- should have chosen another.
WATCH OUT!!! Deceptive practices! I booked this room using a 3rd party. Upon arrival I noticed the grounds and pool were filthy. I waited in a check in line for aprox 30 min only to hear the gentleman in front of me being told he had to pay a $100 deposit I asked the front desk about canceling and she said if you don’t stay here they don’t charge you and that I would have to contact the 3rd party booking site to cancel. I did and they got in touch with the hotel staff and they still charged me for the room even though I did not stay there. Please save your the time hassle and money and STAY any place else.
I would give a zero stars if I could. This place is absolutely ridiculous. The rooms reek of weed and the curtains were torn out. I had a reservation for a night and as soon as I checked in, I checked out immediately. This place is worst.
It was terrible! My and my family wanted to come to a cheap hotel since we were traveling across the country. The bed and room smelt like weed and bleach, the bed sheets were burnt, the top bed sheet was so static that it lit up when you touched it and shocked you, the neighbors were terribly loud, the t.v remote was stollen so we couldnt watch t.v. worst hotel ever!
I would give this absolute 0 stars if I could.I would never recommend this establishment to any one, even more so people with young girls.The employees absolutely do not care about their customers safety and evasive to situations. The receptionists son grabbed my 11 year olds butt and was completely evasive to the situation. The establishment smells completely of weed, the walls are paper thin.
This place is trash. They took a woman’s money for the night stay then informed her that she needed 100 bucks in cash for a deposit that she didn’t have. So she was stuck in the lobby of the place with a BABY because they wouldn’t give her keys. Then wouldn’t cancel the room she never went to and wouldn’t give her the money back so she could go elsewhere. They are rude and this place is trash.
The hotel staff were very unprofessional. Also, the room was roach infested. The hotel was filthy with trash everywhere. My family and I didn’t stay there. We requested a refund and all. So horrible. Do not stay there!!!
I was very disappointed… looked nothing like the pictures, it had roaches, the bed was not clean you could see hair on it, and the floor was so gross it turned a white towel black. Asked for a refund and it was refused to me. Never again will I stay there.
Disgusting, dirty sheets had to ask for them to be changed. Fingernails on the floor dirty walls, Ceiling falling down in bathroom . I have lots of pictures. Prepaid for 3 nights obviously only stayed one night and could not get a refund for the other 2 nights
If there was an option for 0 stars, they would get it!! Check in for our reservation was at 3. We arrived at 2:30 and the guy at the desk said we’d have to wait until 3:30 because they were waiting on housekeeping. He then disappeared until 3:30 when another lady showed up for her shift; so nobody was at the front desk. After giving her our reservation info and her going back and forth from the computer to a sheet of paper for nearly 15 minutes she tells us that they cannot accommodate our reservation because they had a lot of prepaid stay overs which is what she was updating the entire time. Not only is this place poorly run and very dirty, there are also bullet holes in the windows of the lobby. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone!!!
I went back to give the place a second try, so I got in my room and the inside looked ok my beds where not Queen sized beds which is what I paid for but I got twin sized beds and was told they where queen sized beds and I know better. my kids started to heat there food up and before you knew it I had killed a spider so I was jumpy so I relaxed and then I saw a roach so I killed it as Im killing that roach my husband started to kill a roach so we started packing our stuff up to leave and there was roaches on the fridge. We went to the front desk to ask for a refund just to be giving a customer service number to call and the person I spoke to was from India and refused to give me a refund he offered me another room but i declined the offer and was told i could not get a refund i told him my daughter has Downs and she does not like bugs if she see one she will not stay so we wanted our money back after fussing back and forth and telling all the guess checking in to check there rooms before they paid for roaches they finally agreed to refund me and I got them to put it in writing with the front desk clerk signing off on it. The Manager was lazy she just set back and worked the mess out of the other workers instead of helping, the consultant came out to help and he was very professional with great customer service and the front desk clerk was getting all the lash back from the mistakes that the manager messed up before she left but he handled it well and was very professional as well just a little slow as if he was new at the job but he kelp a smile and held it together as I fussed and complained if I could move those two good workers to a better hotel my stay would have been wonderful
Stayed July 10,2021 Oyo Oh No Never again! Front desk looks like a prison & dirty. Front desk clerk was very unfriendly like we were annoying her. No TV but a remote control, wires exposed from wall, a/c not working properly ,door didnt lock properly, no light in room only rr, 2 floor hall leaking water wires exposed, no trash can.I felt so unsafe with my daughters and granddaughter. Elivs would be so ASHAMED MEMPHIS!
I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! After making reservations 5 days in advance and driving 7 hours for a business meeting, arriving at one am. The counter employee whos only been there for 2 days was outside smoking, finally came in the building to inform me their are no rooms available. He gave me the number to corporate whom was even less help. The associate at corporate attempted to contact the employee who was outside with guest smoking.
Was worst place I have ever stayed, they have drugs deals in parking lot people live here service was horrible smell of marijuana was overwhelming the power went out 20in after arriving couldnt see in hall no battery in exit lights no backup generator couldnt find anyone to help us when did we didnt receive much information asked for flashlight and they didnt have any sleep in VC at all night waiting to get refunded spoke with several people with no help just giving different excuses waited till 2 pm next day and still receive no refund and paid for 2 nights booked with Priceline and they gave me 16$ of my 150$ back absolutely horrible was a nightmare
Would not stay here ever again. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because of the assistance I got from Shamona. I did not have personal access to my room as the key card machine was out of batteries. So I couldn’t come and go as I please. There was a hole in the bathroom door where someone kicked and the tv remote didn’t work.On too if that the front desk clerk was extremely rude.
The hotel is very dirty! Rooms we’re not clean. The only saving grace was the hotel staff customer service. The hotel staff members were so friendly. It’s the only reason why we ended up staying.
Do NOT COME HERE AT ALL!!! NOT SAFE AND THE ROOM WERE UNAPPEALING!! Do not waste your money staying here please don’t! The desk lady was very rude and so was the people who stayed there! I felt very unsafe being there I came with my uncle and we couldn’t last 5 minutes because of it and we left the same day we booked it. Don’t come here once again ! I didn’t even want to put a star but it was the only way I could warn people who wanted to stay here !
I came into town from Miami for a funeral, I arrived early so I called the hotel to see if I could possibly check in after the funeral or anytime before check in, the lady Jean (unsure of spelling) told me to just come check when I’m ready. I got to the hotel around 11:30, and she was so rude and not empathetic whatsoever. I left to go eat and see if I could possibly find another hotel just bc of how she treated me, mind you I just buried one of my closest friends. I came back and she told me “check in is only at 3” (which is different from what she said earlier) so I sat in the lobby and waited until Cevin (extremely polite) asked me if I needed helped and he checked me in. As soon as I approached the desk he looked at me and asked if I was okay, which I was not. He apologized and told me to let them know if I needed anything. A company’s success is usually based of the service provided. I listened to how she spoke to other people staying there and even other employees and I was uncomfortable. Even if I couldn’t check in early, if she had been as polite as Cevin, I would’ve had no problem. I work for a luxury brand in customer service and I give very good service so I expect it in return. Im not sure if this is a reoccurring problem, which I’m sure it is, but maybe she needs to be coached on how a hotel should be ran. Had she not assisted me, this review would’ve been a lot different. I didn’t say anything or make a scene, because I planned to just write a review for everyone to see. As I checked out Marlon assisted me and he was very polite as well.
Horrible.The internet was not true as to what the rooms would look like. We had crayon stained on our walls. A yellow stain on the bed. The bathroom had water all over the floor. We will not be staying here again.
Horrible! Trash! There’s a huge hole in the wall that invades privacy of the bathroom. The tv doesn’t have a remote to it. The telephone doesn’t work. The sheets are dirty and have holes in them. I honestly don’t know how this place is still in business. 0 stars!
This place used to be great Out of all my years of staying here i travel here every other weekend i never have been asked to pay a security deposit i didnt even check in i left i asked can i pay it with cash they told they no longer accepted cash payments and that they would have to put a hold on my card and I would receive the payment back in 7 to 14 business days if check out in good condition so someone could say its not in good condition and I would be ripped off! Again I never have been asked to pay a deposit at a hotel in addition to whatever the fee is for the nightly stay especially this hotel and I just visited two weekends ago and there was no deposit
Worst experience by far at any hotel. I was told I had a room with no Air Conditioning and was given a small discount, but I didn’t stay long enough for that to matter. The smoke detector had been ripped off the wall and drug paraphernalia (needle/syringe) was left in the bathroom. I checked out almost immediately and was promised a refund which has yet to show up despite contacting corporate.
