I tried to come to your establishment to enjoy some drinks with friends, but wasnt able. I was told I wasnt in dress code. I looked at your website, and I didnt see an option to look at said dress code. Its not a good look since I havent been here since Whiskey Jacks. The door guy said it had been the same dress code since Electric Cowboy, yet I had been in there plenty of times in shorts and a plain T-shirt.

I had a mixed experience at this bar. On the plus side, the ambiance was inviting, and the drink selection was great. However, I did notice a concerning practice where glasses were shoved directly onto the ice, which raises some safety concerns. It would be great to see this addressed, as its the only thing that took away from an otherwise enjoyable visit.

I have been here numerous times throughout the years, from Electric Cowboy to whiskey Jacks to now Whiskey Jills. I have never been more disrespected than I was tonight. With in an hour of being there or less and having one single drink I was told by the bartender and female owner that they didnt feel comfortable serving me another drink. I was there less than an hour and feel really disrespected. I have been coming here through all of the name changes. However, I will NO LONGER BE COMING TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT after being judged and disrespected like I was. I have been a bartender and a server and know when someone has had too much, but having one drink is NOT being intoxicated and is NOT HAVING TOO MUCH! I WILL BE NOTIFYING THE APPROPRIATE PEOPLE REGARDING THIS MATTER. The female cashier at the front door however was very friendly and helpful when I arrived.

This is a great place! Staff are very friendly, security is top-notch. They do their best to make sure everyone feels welcomed and safe. Best place in West TN to go dancing, they even have lessons on certain nights. Trust me you will not be disappointed, I wont go anywhere else this is my spot. The food is delicious, the drinks are really good and the bartenders are awesome. Best DJ around.

Great place to learn line dances. Not a dance club just western line dancing. Drinks are good prices. Food is good prices good

We absolutely love Whiskey Jills and come at least once a month from Jackson (over an hour drive). The owner, staff and regulars are so welcoming and helpful. We feel like we were welcomed into a dancing family and community! The food and drinks are great but I feel like theyre just an added bonus. I always feel safe while Im there, even when I first started going by myself. The security will walk you to your car if youd like and they dont tolerate any rude or crazy behavior. The instructors are amazing - we have learned over 30 new line dances and couples dances in the last year that weve been going! We cant wait to learn more! Everyone - absolutely everyone is welcome here and I truly believe there is something for everyone.

Wonderful place, great atmosphere, the owner was so nice she went around introducing herself to all the new people she seen. Made sure we were happy with the food and even asked if there was anything better she could improve. I love it being a non smoking facility as well. Thats the best. Its just a wonderful place to hang out and dance. They also teach dance lessons.

Lastnight was my first time going and I had soooooo much fun! The food was great & the drinks I had were too!!!!! 1000/10 definitely a great vibe with family & friends!!!!!

Absolutely love dancing here: line dancing and couple dancing. Good mixture of music for everyone and enjoy the lessons. Food has always been good. Friendly staff. Great security team. Always have a great time with friends!

I’ve been going here since it was Electric Cowboy. And I can honestly say that it is a better place now than it was then. It’s a much safer place, much less drama than before. And it’s cleaner, the food is better, there is always line dancing, but can always make a request and it will be played. There’s also pool tables and dart boards and a nice smoking area outside. Overall the best place in Memphis!!

It is a wonderful place for solo or group fun! Wonderful staff and comfortable, fun and safe atmosphere! Love going every time I get the chance!!!

Great place. No issues with staff. Make sure you know all the line dances, otherwise you’re gonna be sitting down watching everyone show off.

This is a great place! great atmosphere! very friendly staff that really try to connect with everyone on a personal level, you really feel like family here. Dancing lessons are taught quite often easy to learn! Definitely a place you can come every week and just hav some genuine fun and hangout! Keep in mind new comers there is a DRESS CODE but staff is very friendly about it!

Would leave a zero if I could: This place is straight garbage. If all you want to do is line dance to 2010 music this is the place for you: They advertise country bar, anything but…

Went out for thefirst time in a long time. For there early for the dance lesson which was fun the instructor did a great job at making sure everyone was OK before moving on. Tried nachos and they were sooo good. Drinks were reasonably priced although the beer selection could use improvement. My only compliant is the dance floor. With it being music fest weekend I didnt expect a big crowd but I can see if alot of people were on the floor it can seem slil small. I LOVED that they had a dance for every song country and beyond. I will definitely be back. The staff was super friendly.

Nice spot, drinks are good and food is fair. They’ve got a dance floor it’s probably not the best spot for everyone.It’s appeal is definitely having a dance floor other than that just bit of an odd bar. Staff is friendly and helpful.Bathrooms could use a bit more attention but I’ve seen worse.

Arrived at 1:20pm, order at 2:01 pm, asked for a refund at 3:45 pm as I did not get my food and needed to go somewhere else.

This place is a joke! The management and security are so RUDE and unprofessional! Don’t waste your time or money at this redneck juke joint!

I really dont even want to give this establishment 1 star but I guess it is forcing me to. I will just say that The Manager Michael Johnson is one of the rudest people I have ever came across and I will be contacting The Corporate Office of this establishment on him letting them know how he treated me last night just by asking this man a question about what one of his staff members did to a friend of mine for no reason at all. There was 10 people that seen what this staff member was allowed to do. When I immediately asked to speak to the Manager Mr. Johnson he was pulled into the mens bathroom by his employee before even introducing himself to me or allowing me to introduce myself to him and inform him of what his staff member just did to my friend. Then when I confront Mr. Johnson about that he was then very rude to me yet again and Im not one for that as you can see. As I have read in other comments on here. They Do WATER DOWN your drinks, the staff is horrible, they are on their cellphones, their is no servers whom come around so that you can order a drink, you have to go up to the bar where you have to wait over 20 minutes to order a drink because they are yapping their mouths to their friends and not to worried about paying customers. My biggest complaint to say the least is we spent a ton of money at this so called Country Bar and I will not ever go back nor will I ever recommend anyone to go to this place ever. I will also be contacting their corporate office on Mr. Johnson ( oh I forgot also I was told by this gentlemen that i was so intoxicated that I wouldnt even remember his name in the morning which he was very wrong. I do remember) letting them know how offended I was by this manager and also asking for a refund for the money me and my husband spent as well as a refund for each and everyone of my friends that were there last night for the way we were treated at this establishment. So no I would not recommend this place to anyone. BEWARE IS ALL IM GONNA SAY!!!!!!

Great place to go for diversity & a variety. Zack the bartender & Kelly at the front door are the best! The ventilation sucks! Im not a smoker & I come out smokey from head to toe. I feel like I need a breathing treatment afterwards but I dont have asthma. My chest & throat burns so bad! If they could improve that somehow it would be an even more AWESOME place to hangout on Friday & Saturday nights!

The drinks were ok. The show was good but it was geared towards making money, as it should be;however, it could have been done differently in efforts to make the show more enjoyable for everyone by not having to constantly stop and ask for money. All tickets and raffles could be done a the start of the show and once in the middle during a break.Or even better, at the time of ticket purchase.

A great place for dancing. They play both country and hip hop..but leans more towards country.A good selection of music and a DJ that plays what you ask for.Many good dancers....and they are considerate of each other.NO drinks allowed on the dance floor..YEAH!We recommend trying the Electric Cowboy....we will definitely return.

I’ve been to Electric cowboy many times and I have never had a problem until tonight . It was my friends birthday so I treated her tonight. She went outside to grab her card and about 10 mins when she gets back inside she is asked to leave . There were about 5 security offices trying to get us to leave. I politely asked why we had to leave and he said because she came back in . How are we suppose to know that she wouldn’t of been able to come in . Don’t blame us blame your staff for letting her back in without warning . Ive had plenty of people I knew that are UNDER 21 and they drink illegally there and ALSO leave and come and go as they please . Also ive had people try to pay to get back in and they let them do so ... but when I asked I was forcefully asked to leave I’m a rude and disrespectful manner . I’ve read the other reviews and maybe it’s true it’s a “race thing” . There should be a sign that states that if under the age of 21 you will have to pay again . Sadly I will not be returning and I will tell others not to go to this establishment.

The music and dancing were fun, but the smell of smoke was so strong that I decided to not go back unless they change their policy on smoking. The smell was so strong I washed my hair three times, and two days later my hair still smelled like smoke.I wrote the manager as well as their corporate office concerning my complaint about the unhealthy amounts of smoke and never heard back. Disappointing way to conduct business.

Last Friday was my first time visiting EC. Music was good. Diverse crowd with friendly people.....BUT the male bartender was very very RUDE to me and my female friend. Maybe having a bad night......we will see next time.

Drinks are watered down and the security staff can be rude. The smoke comes in from the outside where people huddle up by the entrance to smoke. I would not recommend my dog to go so that should say it enough......

I am from South Carolina, and am in Memphis for 3 months for work. I am also a avid west coast dancer and wanted to get in a few dances. After hearing that this was a meet spot I went to check it out. When I got to the door I was turned down because the manager thought my ID was fake. I am a small company owner, and with a business card and 2 forms of Id he still would not let me in. Very upsetting and will not be recommending it to anyone. Disappointed in the way they conducted business.

This place was awesome! The drinks were made perfect, and the pool tables are hoppin! Two stages for live music, four bars, about 10 pool tables, come check it out.

The security was extremely rude and so was the manager. Me and a few friends were asked to leave for no reason at all. They wouldnt even answer when we asked why we were being put out. Ive contacted coperate on this establishment twice and obviously nothing is working. I would not recommend this establishment to anybody ever! Ill just continue to go to Beale St. Surprisingly the people are a lot nicer down there

Love this place. ANGELA is the BEST. From the time I get there until the time I leave, she AWAYS knows what drinks I want and takes care of me, all while doing it with a smile. Thanks Angela

Ok here is the skinny.... so for east memphis, this is about the best youll get as far as nightclub experience (hint hint ..the measuring bar for comparative purposes is extremely low with literally no competition!!!!). I digress....the dj plays a.nice mix to keep you moving. The eye candy is decent and the staff is very nice also. If you live out east and wanna shake it like a polaroid picture in a safe venue, check it out.

They are heavily stingy with the amount of liquor in the drinks and for a ridiculous price which is kinda normal but the security is very rude and douche who just mean mugg the hell out of anyone, unless their a chick or just bigger than them, if your one of those two this is the place for you but not me.

I liked it in general for my first time at this club, fast and great service friendly staff and security. Over all.. first time there, loved it.

Dont get into any altercation with anyone. The staff is way less than helpful if something goes wrong. Wouldnt recommend my dog to go here.

The bartender was extremely rude and even though I tipped him more generously than deserved (and ripped up my customer receipt for safety), he tipped himself $20 more than I did originally - this bar is the worst bar I’ve ever been to

The website says it is open but we went yesterday and was xlosed up.

Whiskey Jacks is reopening as Whiskey Jills.Should be open in December 2022.

Great music selection, inexpensive drinks, hot bartenders, and a fun time always after 10pm.

Better off turning on your local radio station and dancing in your car for the money. Changes made recently have KILLED this place!
