Merrick Crystal Nail

Really surprised at how awful of a job the nail tech did today. This was a gel manicure for $37...my 3 year old couldve done a better job. Its embarrassing. Granted I came in at 7 when they close at 730 tonight. Lesson learned.

Mei, the owner, always greets you with a warm welcome! I’m always asking for a fun and sometimes very detailed design and my nails always come out great. I also love the spa pedicures!!

Shame, I will not be going back here. This was my go to place until yesterday. I made an appt for Thursday and they called me late in the day to tell me that the person I book my appointments with is not there that day. Okay, no problem- I booked for Friday instead. I ALWAYS get my mani’s and pedi’s done by the same tech, every time I go. Apparently they double booked my appointment on Friday, fine it happens.. the girl at the front proceeded to try and blame it on me and say that I booked my pedicure with another person, that’s where you lose my business. Don’t insinuate I’m a liar.. I NEVER book with anyone else besides my regular tech- not one time did anyone else ever do my nails. Take accountability for your mistakes and don’t blame your clients.Never coming back here.

Disgusting and horrible. They hound you for tips. They have inexperienced workers who burn your skin when getting your wax done. These people need to understand a tip is a courtesy. I do not have to leave a tip, I am already paying for the service. I am a regular customer and they only accept tips on cash and for the first time I forgot to bring cash for tips and I get a earful and hounded for it. When I said I can bring back cash from my car she screamed at me saying “you guys never bring it”. Then I offered to leave the tip with my card and she said it would be a $5 fee but apparently when I charged for the service with a card there’s no fee. Come up with better tactics to get money out of customers. The owner of this place is horrible and rude, be considerate, tip is a courtesy, it is not mandatory. Horrible place I will never suggest this place to anyone and will recommend people to avoid this place from now on. They lost a loyal customer and many other loyal customers who will stop going here all because I forgot to bring a cash tip for the first time. Disgusting and horrible.

Great job! Beautiful just as I asked! May the owner is delightful and oversees her salon very well! I am impressed neat clean with some added sparkle decor makes this a must! I will be back!! Highly recommended!!UPDATE...my nails only lasted 9 days two cracked in half and one lifted. After spending more than 85.00 plus tip I will.not be going back. They should last a minimum of 2 weeks really 3 weeks.

Thank you sooo much!!! On the spot fix up on a nail done HORRIBLY wrong by a different salon. Here are the before and after shots of what happens when a salon messes up so badly the nail is bent backwards and HURTSSSSS a lot!!! They fixed it up without a hassle and a quick appt for that day. I had a tip already on that pinky now. But the salon I had gone to did it improperly making my nail bent backwards, sticking up in the air. Really hurt a lot! Unfortunately when Merrick Crystal Nails fixed my nail, the entire nail had to be cut off bc of this problem. But there was a tip put back on and done properly this time around. It’s safe to say that I’m more than pleased. Happy to come back again. Thank you again for fixing this dilemma!!The before is from fashion nails and spa in wantagh. The after is from Merrick crystal nails. What a huge difference!!! Mind you this has neverrrrrr happened before with or without tips. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Now that some time has passed.My nail tech went to china 🇨🇳 on vacation few months. I was passed around ( loyal customer since day one) ok fine,one day (day after my nails were done) I called to ask when I can get my chipped nail fixed, may the owner was annoyed with me told me to come in. I apologize so many times… told her it wasn’t my fault. Young girls didn’t know how to do the nails. Anyway May was rude and annoyed with me. She passed me to a nail tech who pushed my arm and hand while she was fixing my one chipped nail. She was so mean. Rude nasty she was lucky I was in a great mood that day or she would have done through the wall!! That one nail would have taken 1 min to fix but the owner May and this nail te h took so long because they were so hung up on how was my nail broken after only one day! The tech literally hit me and pushed me around (my hands) I told her to relax and just fix the nail. Never went back! These people only want your money nothing nice about them. She’s got to feed 5 kids.

I only get my nails here, Mei is a sweetheart and it’s such a fun environment with the staff.This is the only place I’ve found that does UV Gel and I’m never going back to acrylics. My nails look the same after a month, sometimes longer but I recommend getting them filled sooner to avoid breaking. They take walk ins but they’re busy so make sure to schedule a spot the day off just to be safe.

Grace is the best. They brought my feet back from the ashes😅. Great we it kids too

This is one of the few places in this area that can do excellent nail design. I went with a crazy idea and they executed it flawlessly. None of my nails broke or chipped. Deff recommend

Clean, professional, and very accommodating. The owner is very hands-on and ensures her manicurist are on point. I came to this salon to fix a disaster. They did exactly that and saved my day.

Aren’t pedicures supposed to be relaxing? Well if you are willing to pay a lot for a pedicure and be rushed then go to this nail salon. I was very disappointed. The place is very pretty, I had high hopes. Would rather sit in a salon that isn’t as fancy and get a proper pedicure. Not the friendliest of people working there either. Walked out feeling like I got ripped off. What a waste of money!!

Today is , Wednesday, 28th, 2023l,. time is 5:45pm . The receptionist is very unwelcoming vibe from her as his she does not want to deal with blacks, just my vibe l. Every one else was great but because of her I would never come back. As a teacher, I know when Im wanted, period. Never again!!!

People are nice. prices are reasonable till you wanna add a little extra. they tried charging me $20 extra due to the length which charging is fine but $20 is crazy! i asked for acrylic and they tried doing powder. they did not come out the way i wanted to! i’m really disappointed in the outcome ! otherwise the place is nice and clean, good music…

I have never been here before but since it is new in this location I thought I would try it. There is a big sign outside saying 10% discount for cash, all services. First, no cuticle oil was used until after I asked for it. Then I was charged $1 for quick dry topcoat, which she only remembered to put on after I was drying. I was informed that the cash discount did not apply as my bill was under $15. The sign did not mention this; so all in all my nails look okay, but this was a bad first time experience.

If you’re black, don’t even bother coming here. The young girl at the front desk has such a horrible attitude! Almost as if she doesn’t want to be bothered with such people.You’re better off spending your money somewhere else.

I went with my girls today to get a polish change both manicure and pedicure ( kids are 5 and 7)..They pick out 2 colors .The lady did there nails and offers a design . polish change is 13 dollars which is actually higher then usual anyway ..i get to the register and they proceed to charge me 20 for each girl ..totaling 40 00 ..I ask them why the price change ..She tells me 2 colors are 2.00 more ( there is no sign saying that nor did she tell me in advance) and 5 dollars for The design that was offered to my child...upon arguing about it she brought the price down to $16 instead... needless to say I find them to be very sneaky and I will never return there again as my experience deserves a one star..There are plenty of nail salons in the area I’m sure of it ..

Very clean. Personnel was super friendly and did a great job. Good amount of parking and a nice sitting area before your appointment. Highly recommend.

I went to the nail salon for the first time last Saturday and my experience was terrible. The woman who did my pedicure barley massaged my feet and I felt she rushed the service. Then, I did a acrylic refill and the guy who did my nails was rude to me because I didn’t want to do the gel refill (I’m trying to save my money due to the holidays are coming up). When I left, none of the workers said goodbye. Out of all the nail salons that I have been to, I have never been so disrespected until I went to this salon.

Amazing! I have been looking for a local nail spot just like this! The staff is amazing and super kind! I have issues with my nails due to psoriasis and they were so gentle! I left feeling amazing! Priced very well and no pressure into other stuff!

I was really hoping this would be my go to.. the nail technician tried, but like I told the girl on the phone I LOVE my designs and need someone who can make that happen… unfortunately, for my hard gel, He filed too low on the nail bed, so it hurt, then he didn’t know how to do the design I wanted 😭.. I was hoping he ask someone… I was supposed to get a change of polish on my toes and I guess they forgot… first time there, I was hoping someone would ask me how I was doing… nothing… oh well… again, he tried… but I work hard for my money so still looking.. but give them a try.. maybe it’ll work for you

Love coming here... almost always able to accommodate me as a walk in or call ahead. My nails always look beautiful and last for at least a month or longer!

Everyone here is super friendly, nice and welcoming. This is the best nail salon ever. The prices are very reasonable and the environment is super clean. Definitely recommend to give this place a try.

I’ve been here two times now. It’s very clean and nice, the people are nice here as well. It’s normally pretty busy. I had gotten SNS the first time I came here and when I went back to get it removed the next time it seemed like they had some difficulty which was a bit unfortunate since it took about 45 mins longer. All in all, a good place and I would recommend.

I got a regular mani and pedi. The colors on my nails are still looking good after 2 weeks. Check them out and you will not regret it.

I was in desperate need of repair. Reshape and nail building. I only use UV Gel and not everyone has the skills to build and shape with Gel. Well to my pleasure I found the Jem of a nail salon. Excellent work!

Tried many places and I will always come here for my gel powder manicure (SNS Powder). The owner is such a sweetheart and will always take care of you.

I do not recommend getting your nails done from Linda. She is rude and has no manners. She doesnt communicate with customers and does not please customers either. I will not be coming back here.

I was going to this place. For about 3 months .. But every week I broke a nail and it is very expensive.overprice .. because she charged me $ 10 every time I broke one and 65 for the filling..the quality of the filling not good enough I think it’s a cheap product.. thats why I stopped going there

Nice place but wish my heel of my foot was scrubbed for 20 secs and not 10 secs. Also didnt cut enough of my cuticles.
