Massage Envy

I had the worst experience at this place. Pay attention to your charges and what you are being billed. The person I just dealt with was super deceptive and rude. She even denied the price shown on the website claiming she doesn’t know what it says on the site because she doesn’t manage it. So glad I was not trapped into a membership based on the reviews I’ve read. She denied what she initially quoted me and the discount she offered me if I signed up for a membership. And when I refused after asking multiple times, she went ahead and charged me a different price. So shady.

I had a membership and never had a problem with the therapist. However, there was a great deal of conversation outside of the room, making it difficult to relax.This happened on more than one occasion. Not only that, but when I said I wanted to cancel my membership, they challenged me and took a long time to provide me with the paperwork necessary to make that happen.I had a credit of a massage coming to me, and they never notified me that it had an expiration date. I always received a text prior to the other appointments. I was told there was nothing they could do to credit me for the massage. They withdrew money from my account for the massage as per the agreement. I am very disappointed and shocked by this unprofessional service.

Massage Envy is a joke, such high prices and expectations monthly but a complete joke with their own service. Appointments are impossible to come by and when you make an appointment 2 months ahead and show up they tell you it doesn’t exist even after you have a text message from them on your phone and your confirmation following it!! What was their excuse they had none!! Wow not even a way to fix the debacle! They will call me tomorrow well that doesn’t help me today when I arranged my life for it!! Find a new massage facility and fast!!8/1/2024After giving Massage Envy an opportunity to redeem themselves, they have failed once again. Perhaps it’s the staff at the Merrick Road location and especially Katie Ann, The manager who cannot seem to follow all the rules Continues to add them as she feels fit And when trying to have a conversation with her, she hangs the phone up on my face. So Professional!! It is one mistake after the other hand and Stone looks better and better every day and it’s right down the road. Thank you to your unfriendly staff for helping to make my decision to leave massage envy and take a loss if I have to!!!! I am still waiting for higher management to call me. Should I hold my breath?

Andreas, who I have worked with several times, continues to be an amazing therapist. Eli is also exceptional at relieving the tension in my shoulders. Unfortunately, the front desk is a pain to deal with. And to make matters worse, they have now outsourced customer service to a centralized call desk, that has been unable to assist me, on more than one occasion. Which then forces me to speak with the front desk at Merrick. There is 1 individual that actually has appropriate phone etiquette, I wish I remembered her name. I also have attempted avoiding the front desk by using the online system. This has also been a failure. I have logged in and booked an appointment, only then to be told the system made an error and double booked, this has happened twice. Andreas is the only reason I continue to frequent this establishment. I was also harassed by the police, while in the parking lot.

My first massage, and Im hooked. Big questionnaire to make sure youre comfortable and healthy enough for a massage. A lot of concentration on your needs as a client, which I appreciated. Janet was wonderful and really knew her stuff. The entire staff was very accommodating and professional.

Nicole is great. Janet is as well. Kathy too. No question. However my wife and I remain very disappointed and dissatisfied with the lack of available appointments. Putting our memberships on hold while we use them up doesnt solve the problem. Nor is the 20 fee appropriate! The place needs to hire more staff. Plain and simple. Is that easy - no but it is the answer. The people that you have there are all very nice. Top notch but you dont have enough therapists and it may lead us to look elsewhere.

Massage envy is a scam. Don’t purchase any gift cards or subscribe to any of their monthly subscriptions. Do your research first they have a bunch of BBB reports. All locations, dates, are always unavailable claiming to be over booked. I purchased a $210 Giftcard for a friend who could never book an appointment. When you call over the phone and ask to be booked they require your personal debit and credit card information on file .. I asked if they can secure the slot by using the Giftcard and they said No they refuse to make an appointment ( which makes no sense because we bought the Giftcard from your location) it’s $200 down the drain and this business needs to be closed down !

Ive been coming to this Merrick location for at least 5 years with appointments scheduled monthly. My last 4 months have not been pleasant as at least 2 out of 4 appointments were canceled the day before or the day of (FRUSTRATING). I understand that emergencies happen and rescheduling with a therapist that works with my schedule has been impossible. The worst part is me leaving messages for a call back from the manager which Im guessing have just been ignored. Not happy with them right now. Service was good but now it isnt.

Such a great experience at Massage Envy in Merrick. Very clean. I left feeling stress free and very relaxed, it was just what i needed. Cathy is fantastic, can’t wait to visit with her again!

The only location available for 2/18/23 10am appointment.Masseuse (Andreas) was late, the location called 20min prior to say masseuse was going to be 15 min late would it be ok for me to wait. I said it’s fine I was on my way and would arrive at 950am. As I was approaching, they called back (18 min after first call) to say masseuse would be 30min late so closer to 1030am therefore the birthday girl’s massage was canceled so other appointments were not to be delayed by their lateness.I found this to be very unprofessional and unfair. Trying to accommodate on a different day was also not feasible as the drive was over an hour to this specific location.Nothing else was offered for the inconvenience.Would not recommend this location.

Janet is the reason I stay with Massage envy. Her massages are outstanding.The tables and sheets are clean and warm, which I like.I would like to see upgrades in the building. I have been coming to the Merrick location since it opened and feel like the carpet and paint have never been changed. The decor could be upgraded.I think the music could be better and something should be done to mitigate hearing other guests in the adjacent rooms.I am not sure if i will continue my membership.

Kadean was fabulous! She provided my first chemical peel & my skin feels amazing today. The staff is always so thorough & makes you feel comfortable. 10/10 recommend coming here! The masseuses are fabulous as well. Never had a bad experience coming here!

Lillie is amazing! She made me feel so comfortable and was very knowledgeable! I left feeling more relaxed than I ever have from a massage! Highly recommend!!!

Excellent massage therapist. Very professional. Adjusted and customized the massage to meet my needs. Andreas really “ironed out the kinks” in my muscles. I signed up for another massage with him next month.Staff at facility is very nice and patient. While there I witnessed a client’s rudeness and anger against the receptionist for no reason. The client was way off base. The receptionist and manager handled all well with calm composure and professionalism.

Nicole is an amazing massage therapist. I see her as often as I can, and she definitely makes me feel better. As always, she checked with me on my areas of greatest need before we started. She then tailored her work to help relieve my pain. The end result was amazing. I wish I could see her more often!

My experience with massage therapist Robert was excellent. I have a bad shoulder and he really worked on it. When I got home I was able to reach my arm up higher than I have in 5-6 years! Incredible! Going back to him again in 2 weeks.

Absolutely LOVE this place--Calming and hushed atmosphere from the moment you walk in the door... until you float out; with the massage and the masseuse being THE ULTIMATE (in the) experience!This was my second visit with Janet as my masseuse-- The only complaint I have is that the hour long massage wasnt long enough♡ She is PHENOMENAL!The total package is a bit expensive-- yet its truly worth every penny when you can get the bumps and bruises of the week (or longer) literally removed from your body by individuals that have hands that work miracles!!!

The level of professionalism at Massage Envy in Merrick is outstanding. The reception area is always spotless, as well as the restrooms and treatment suite where my Massage Therapist Nicole works her magic. I look forward to my visits each and every time, knowing that I will walk out feeling so much more relaxed and less stressed. Quiet Quaint. Atmosphere nice. My masseuse was scared to put the pressure on.. Idk maybe I need a hard one I chose medium but Id rather be comfortable than anything else. Ummmmm idk they deserve 3 stars.

The waiting area was very nice. Better than most locations I have visited. However, if here were a few things caught my attention. My therapist arrived at the scheduled time if my massage. I was not taken until 5 mins after my scheduled appointment. I was there 15 mins prior.The room was cold, as was the bed. I also was bothered by how loud the music was playing and how bright the room was.My therapist was good. He applied enough pressure and stretched me a bit. I felt like something was missing though. He seemed to move from spot to spot without taking into account whether a spot required more time it not.Overall, ok. But I expected a little more.

Andreas is always amazing!!! Hes got great hands, great music, and hes always got the best positive energy!!! The only thing I ever plan in advance is my next two massages with Andreas... if you ever have the opportunity to get a massage with him do it!!! (JUST DONT TAKE MINE HAHA!!!)

Janett was amazing she did both my parents & they both did not stop talking about how much they felt refreshed and relaxed after their massage. She was able to do medium and firm massages since my parents prefer different pressure levels. We’re thankful to have had her for both message session.

Massage was very basic. Spent to much time in one spot doing little with minimal pressure even after I asked for it to be harder. Hour massage booked. Came and got me at 5:03. Started at 5:05... I was sitting in my car by 5:56... so maybe a 48 min massage in all.

Great massage I went after work here. They were very nice at the front desk and my masseuse did a very nice job considering how tight my neck and back were.

Nicole is the Absolute Best Masseuse in the World. You and we are all lucky to have her. Great service by Morgan at the front desk and lovely new manager, Mike. Just lovely!

This place is the worse. Three times now they canceled my appointment as I sat waiting. I have a gift certificate from Christmas of 2020 I have been trying to use. If my appointment are not canceled it’s a 8 to 10 week wait every time I call. Guess I have to try a different location. Use to be a member of this location not sure what happened to the service. Use to be a good location I guess like everything now things change for the worse. Please don’t add that link to talk to someone it doesn’t work tried it. If appointments are canceled shouldn’t someone call to reschedule.

I have always found the employees managing the desk to be top notch...always so pleasant, informative, helpful and so nice! I travel from Massapequa Park to this location because I like it that much. Let me not forget the amazing Lillie who gives the best massages. Cant say enough great things about her. Always look forward to my time here.Diane J.

I have been going to massage therapy, and specifically Robert, for 12 years. Robert has seen me through a plethora of health issues over the years and always adapted to my specific needs. He is a wonderful therapist, person, and friend. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Massage Envy has always been a wonderful place to visit as well. The premises are always spotless, welcoming, and wonderful staff.

I haven’t had a facial since the pandemic hit. I always enjoyed the relaxing facials at ME in Merrick. I have a ME in my own town, but prefer the Merrick location. The staff are always pleasant and professional. Always accommodating. I’ve had both massages and facials and I’ve always had a great experience. Finally decided it was necessary for a facial, and was so pleasantly happy that this location had availability. It’s always immaculate. I loved my esthetician. I even signed my husband up for monthly services as well. They were already following strict sanitary protocols prior...so I’m sure this transition was easy. Thank you for a safe and relaxing experience

I have been a long time client and visitor to this location. I’ve had several different therapists throughout the years but I must rave about Robert. He is professional yet personable, and his deep touch is exactly what I need. I look forward to the next time I come in to have my mind and body altering experience.

Went there for my first prenatal massage. Susan was absolutely AMAZING! She was caring, professional and gave a great massage. She also had a very sweet aura about her. Can’t wait to visit again!

Booked an appointment months in advanced. When arrived I was told my appointment will need to be rescheduled because the therapist called out sick. I rebooted again and received an email two weeks later that we need to reschedule due to the therapist not going to be able to come in for that appointment. Very dissatisfied and not handled correctly by management.

I was very pleased with the precautions that was taken to make me and I am sure most of the clients that are coming in feel safe coming into the establishment for a relaxation moment. Bad….. she wouldn’t shut up the entire massage. I left stressed with anxiety from spending an hour with her. Not to mention she barely touched me. Never addressed my lower back. Oiled me up like freakin turkey. No aroma in the room just her big mouth.

If I could give this place zero stars I WOULD! My wife bought me a monthly membership for a message a month and I have been trying for months to get weekend appointments and wasnt able to till I canceled my membership. Every appointment on the weekend gets canceled 2 days before because a someone called out and then they dont offer me another person at the same time or 30 or 60 min after they push me to a week day which I cant do. The last one canceled was this week and the receptionists response was what do you want me to do someone called out; the proper thing would be get another person to give me my massage! I will now be wasting $120 in backlogged messages that I wont be able to use before my 30 days is up. Place is a joke Hand and stone is down the road go there way better scheduling!

I have always had a great experience at Massage Envy. All the massage therapists have always been amazing and have been excellent at what they do. I always recommend anyone to go to massage envy to get the true experience of what a massage should be like. Can’t wait to go back soon!

This was my first time at “Massage Envy” and the only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because of the front desk receptionist. When clients walk in I believe you should receive a more “at home /welcome” feeling, especially in a “relaxing” ambiance, NOT the feeling that you are bothering them. As soon as I arrived, I had my baby with me who was not loud or anything, just drinking his bottle (There was No one else in the waiting room). My husband was just about done with his massage with the same person who was going to give me my massage.When I came to the front desk, I didnt receive any Acknowledgement, I was pretty much the one who said hello how are you? Bc it was a straight face , NO smile or form of kindness and “do you have a mask”? I completely forgot it in my car but in the txt they send you (before your appointment)they do mention they can provide you with one.The whole time before my massage I felt like I was the only one being kind and cooperative… to at least get the same in return 🤷🏻‍♀️I also didn’t want to get upset or pay it much mind before my massage Bc overall My husband and I both agree she was just BLAH. I worked for a chiropractic/Massage place & that would have never gotten by. BETTER training for “Front Desk” etiquette needed there, especially for a Massage business (SMH). Anyway….On the POSITIVE side, Lillie, our masseuse, was AMAZING!!! She hit ALL my focus areas 100%. The BEST massage I had in a veryyyy long time. So sweet, informative, professional, knew her job very well and gave me great advice. Highly Recommended. The pressure was just right. Strong enough to get into your muscles but not to leave you in pain.I would LOVE it if they put Lillie at the location in Massapequa where I will be going. Thank you for taking the stress off my neck and shoulders ♥️ Lillie made it a great massage experience for both my husband and I. I asked the front desk for information on packages and prices. Another joke… I didnt even want to bother. Her responses explained nothing. I’ll just do the research myself.

I have been going to this particular Massage Envy for 10 plus years. I used to live in Bellmore, but I still come here even though I moved 30 minutes away 7 years ago. Everyone has always been pleasant, courteous and professional on the phone AND in person. I have been using the same therapist for a long time now, and its nice to have continuity of service and familiarity. It is always clean in the reception area as well as the rooms and bathrooms. Before covid there was a table in the reception area where other small businesses could display their business cards, I thought this was a nice touch, to promote other businesses in the area. Obviously things are different now but I just had my first massage post-shutdown and it did not disappoint! I highly recommend this location!

Lily is a great person! Great personality, and really knows her stuff. She was hitting muscles I didnt even know I had! All in all, it was a great experience, and Ill definitely go back!!

I went in for an hot stones massage the stone were at the prefect temperature. With my therapist Nicole Shepherd at the control it was so relaxing. Next time it will be 2 hours

Had a facial with Kadean and she was great! My face felt so soft and smooth and the fine line wrinkles were so much less. I highly recommend her!!!!!!

Andreas is a wonderful massuese. I was in particularly bad shape because I taken over a year off from regular massage due to the pandemic. I have a lot of stress, tension and knots in my shoulders and back. He took the time to focus on those areas and work through the issues. He is quiet, professional and strong.

I have had massages by practically all the massage personnel there. They were/are caring, professional, and unafraid to go deeply into your muscles (yet always ask your preference). They also offer stretch therapy and facials. I have had the latter, and each aesthetician has also been professional and sensitive to ones facial needs. Highly recommend!On Octobet 13th, I had a wonderful 90-minute massage with Catherine. When I arrived, she had already read my profile and knew all about which areas needed more work and more/less pressure. I highly recommend her!

Had the best massage and facial. Andreas and Kadean took such great care of me. My self care Sunday was amazing. Courtney is awesome too!

My visit to ME is always blissful from the receptionist’s desk, who sets the atmosphere throughout. My masseuse Nichole, who, has gifted hands, is a treasure. I am never ready to have my sessions come to an end. I feel like jumping up and down demanding more more. But I remind myself that I’m an adult who can make an appointment for another time and I do.Kadean who is my esthetician, has magic in her hands. My sessions with her makes me feel decadent and throughly pampered. I look forward to my sessions with both Nichole and Kadean.

Catherine has very good sense of humor and a memory like an elephant we can talk about almost anything and weeks will past and she never forgets a conversation. Cathy is very professional and shes good with her hands moreover, shes the reason I continue to visit massage envy.

I have been a member at the Merrick location since 2009 and have never had a bad experience. I have always been treated very well by the staff.I am mainly writing this review in response to a negative review posted 4 years ago based on a missed appointment. The writer had the nerve to complain about being charged for a missed appointment yet he or she never bothered to call and cancel the appointment ahead of time!! This person obviously doesnt know the meaning of being courteous or professional, and to blame Massage Envy for that is ridiculous!! If that person doesnt want to be charged for blowing off an appointment they should have taken the time to call and cancel. They deserve to be charged for it!!

I have been a member for at least 2 years now. Received a gift card originally for my first massage and i became a member soon after. starting with the reception crew and right onto the masseuses, i have always been treated with the up most respect. The location is top notch and the massages are to die for. I recommend Massage Envy to all that want an amazing , relaxing exsperience

They people here are nice. I find that I never really get my full 60, 90, or 120 minutes. Im always 5 or 10 minutes short which is always disappointing. Also, they claim all therapists can do any type of massage, but I dont think some get deep enough sometimes. Other than that, they are all very nice and do a good job. It hasnt stopped me from going yet.

Janet was amazing ! Wish I could give 10 stars. Earned a new client I will definitely be back and I will tell friends and family to try this location out as well.

From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave…staff and therapists care about your visit. Andreas is the muscle whisperer, Nicole finds and slays knots. Each member listens to your concerns and tailors the stretch and massage to your physical needs. Massage is essential to well being.

I had made an appointment a week in advance for my boyfriends birthday to get a couples massage. They call me 1 hour, maybe 2, prior to let me know that we could not get the massage because the worker wasn’t in. It was on my boyfriends birthday, but fine. So we rescheduled for a few days later. This time, my boyfriend (who was not the main name on the appointment) received a call saying we couldn’t get a couples massage in the same room because the room had a leak. Not sure how many rooms there are, but I was extremely disappointed for the first cancellation, my boyfriend receiving the second call and the fact that the woman who notified us of the situation had actually given us the option of STILL receiving the couples massage in the room WITH the leak! From there, she had informed us that the room had a bad odor...I’m assuming it is most likely due to mold. Never had a massage there, but am extremely unhappy with the service and believe mold is a health hazard.

I had incredible session with Andreas yesterday, the man did an outstanding job releasing different tension in my massage! I highly recommend!

Continually -Professional, clean, friendly. Love the stretch sessions along with deep tissue massage with Andreas...He helps me stay balanced and flexible . He contually changes his routine to keep my 55 year body with optimal results - sciatica issues and 40 year migraine life...does my body soo good!

I have been going to Massage Envy for several years and working with Nicole S….. she is simply amazing as a therapist and human being.

Would never go again. Massage was horrible. Took me in late and finished early. Asked to work on my neck and they never touched it. The office smelled like bbq and fried chicken. The women behind the desk were talking with their mouths full of food and not even caring..

They have told me about a cancellation FEE that I NEVER knew about . Money is never the problem . Though they should have let me known before and especially when we still are in a pandemic and most people are still tight with their money . I have heard good things about this place though I give them that.

Very basic, gentle massage. Surprisingly, from a male therapist! Thought it would be a great start to my upcoming vacation. Not worth the money.

She was wonderful. I broke my shoulder 4 months ago and this was my first time back since. She worked on the shoulder and helped to ease the pain.

Bad Business Practices plague this chain. I cancelled my membership with over a year in. I had 2 hours of unused massages that dont expire EVER while youre a member, but mysteriously disappear/expire aftet an unknown amount of time afterwards. So, basically I payed good money for these massages, but because I didnt use the credit in their alotted time, I am penalized and ripped off. Be very wary of buying memberships to this chain of scammers. I called management too and was told, very hurriedly, that there was nothing that could be done.Just do the research, they have 2 class action lawsuits again them that they settled because they KNOW theyre wrong.

I went for my birthday weekend & havent had a massage in years. Robert was my masseuse and was excellent.

Loved my massage by Robert - very relaxing. He helped work out the knots in my shoulder and now I feel great!! 👍🏻

Absolutely horrible location and the front desk staff lies. Especially when you have a membership you need to very carefully with your appointment and who you cancel with.
