We were really happy about almost everything at Nobu. The area of Miami Beach itself is a little pricey and since we were using public transportation it was tough to get a good breakfast that didnt make you feel like you were paying for dinner.Their beach is really nice. The service was excellent. The pools were good, and atmosphere was great outdoors and indoors. The hotel was scented with lemon grass tea, which was subtle but really a big factor of feeling comfort of vacation. Positive vibes were plentiful. 15 minutes from ocean drive on a free trolley, the Collins Express.
I stayed at the Nobu hotel after having had an awful experience at the Fontainebleau my last time in Miami. This 5 start review is due to the fantastic service that I received this past weekend. Richard at the front desk was extremely nice and thorough. The highlight was the adults only Nobu pool. The staff at the pool treated you as if you were an old friend. These staff members made it extra special and always made sure I was having a good time. Thank you Kellby, Mariana and Juan Manuel from Argentina. You truly made it special. I will be back to the Nobu and I appreciate everything you have done for me and the group I was traveling with!
Truly loved our stay here! Mid-beach location a great spot with beautiful views, liveliness, but much quieter and laid back than South Beach. Rooms were incredible and the Japanese touch really look it to the next level. The extra pool specifically for Nobu guests was a wonderful addition as well. Will absolutely be back
I travel a lot and I can assure you that this was one of my worst experiences ever in assumably luxury hotels. First time to try Nobu chain and never again. Here you can barely find a staff who smile, as rudeness is the common theme. Also, you have to fight to get your basic rights and what you’ve paid for!Crystal from Nobu reception and Linskey in the concierge are the only people who were cooperative, nice and have a big beautiful smiles on their faces.Wasn’t granted the benefits I was eligible to until a day after and with a lot of harsh trials from them to disregard. That’s one story of multiples.Rooms furniture and technology is outdated and overused. Matters were extremely firm as I’m sleeping on the floors and pillows was forcibly fitted into the sheets. A/c noise was extreme! I had to put it off to be able to sleep.Pool restrooms was out of service and you have to go all the way to lobby if you need it (the what I have been told by one of pool staff until I discovered a closer one on my last day). There was a lot of dead flies in the pool and the food service or quality wasn’t much.Breakfast here is in place called Ocean something and it was a waste of money and the buffet is a joke !The complementary water was placed twice only for the five nights spent, as well as room cleaning was skipped or late multiple times despite my reminder & call.I was here for vacation, strangely I was very happy to check out!! Let’s keep here!
I recently stayed at the Nobu Hotel in Miami for my best friend’s birthday and was blown away by the exceptional service provided by John at the front desk. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and not to mention the coconut cream sake was absolutely delicious. The check-in process was seamless and efficient, and John went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.Overall, I cannot speak highly enough of John at the Nobu Hotel in Miami. His exceptional service truly elevated our stay and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and welcoming experience.
Nobu Hotel Miami was one of the absolute best hotel experiences Ive ever had. From the moment we arrived and were upgraded to an oceanfront suite to our departure, almost everything was flawless. Our room was magnificent with a wrap-around terrace and EXTREMELY comfortable bed, along with a huge living space and a view to die for. The beach and pool staff were impeccable, special shout-out to Kimberly at the Nobu pool who was on top of her game better than anyone Ive ever seen. Always aware of her guests needs and was proactive about when it was time for fresh drinks or food, the management should be extremely proud and thankful they have staff at this level. Every other encounters I had with the staff was just as impressive, always a hello and smile, always asking if there was anything needed or help required to a guest, the GM here has done a spectacular job of hiring one of the better staffs Ive seen. Food everywhere was very good, especially was fond of Nobu itself and the Cafe Cubano at Inez. The beach and pool themselves were great, all outdoor and indoor facilities I found very clean and well kept. The spa was a nice experience, and the little tokens of appreciation our concierge Linskey sent were very kind and welcoming. The only issue I had was i requested outdoor cushions a few times and that went unfulfilled. If that was the worst thing i had to deal with Id say I had a pretty amazing experience! Thank you again and my wife and I cant wait to return!
Far from a five star experience. Hotel rooms and service are 4 star quality. Facilities are probably 2-3 stars. They share the space with the Eden rock, an old hotel that went through a cheap, superficial makeover and which is now falling apart. Some of the negative highlights:-Pools are dirty (cloudy waters) and in disrepair. Pool deck is falling apart. The jacuzzi lamp was detached with 18 inches of wires exposed. Within an hour of being there, we were disgusted and needed to leave.-We found a broken tooth in our room and long black hairs in the shower.-The spa was nice, but the saunas and steam rooms were out of service.Despite the issues, it wasn’t all negative. The staff was nice and apologetic. The hotel location is good. The beach is great and easily accessible. And the rooms are nice.Overall, this is a buyer beware situation because of its high star rating and the state of the common areas.
We stayed at the Nobu hotel from June 13-15, 2024, and our stay was excellent!! John, one of the managers at the hotel, provided us with exceptional service from the moment that we arrived, to the time that we departed. My best friend had a severe allergy to the sun, and John went above and beyond to ensure that she was accommodated and well taken care of. The hospitality he showed us was impeccable. We will definitely be back, and John’s service is to blame!
Been travelling globally my whole life and this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Apparently this hotel allows their guests to get drugged and robbed on their property at their restaurant and will do nothing to help. I experienced this first hand and it was horrifying. I sent an email to the hotel management and still haven’t received an email back. According to sources when I spoke to the police these types of incidents have happened at this particular hotel on a few occasions with hotel staff and security staff doing nothing about it and making the guest feel they were at fault. Like another guest said they say because there are no cameras in the room they can’t prove anything. To add insult to injury I had to leave my stay early because of the theft and incident and still had to pay for the full stay. So to those who choose to stay here be aware that this hotel does not care about the safety or concern of their guests. I would definitely advise not to risk staying here. Horrible staff, management and security. Plenty of better hotels in the Miami area.
Ive been at Nobu Miami countless times, this year it is my third time. And this one will be my last time, we arrived from diner and our room was unlocked with stuff inside that was not ours or ordered by us. No one could give us a decent and acceptable explanation, I dont fell safe at a here anymore.
I booked this hotel for my husbands birthday, we spent two nights, and to be honest the first night was kind of rough because the people next door to us, I know they can’t control the people that are staying in the hotel, when we let the front desk know about this situation, they helped us and gave us the best service. Gabi is the name of the sweet person that helped us. The second night was so much better, the hotel is very nice and clean.
The worst experience of my life. Enjoyed my first two nights, met a lot of amazing people, but my third day was the worst day of my life. In the morning I tried to attend the Latin American forum, not knowing registration was required. I left when asked and completed registration online and paid for the conference. I returned and showed my email and they told me the event was full (I believe this was a lie) and asked me to leave. I left with no issue and made my way to the pool. Two security guards came running after me and demanded my id and room key. I complied, they apologized for the inconvenience, and I went about my day. I came back around midnight and grabbed a drink at the bar. I saw some of my friends from the night before and gave hugs to those I knew. A security officer approached me yet again and asked my what I was doing, to which I replied getting a drink. He told me someone complained I was harassing them? I left to go to my room when a group of my friends waved me over and I sat with them and had a couple drinks. About half an hour later I went to the front desk and got a new key. I was leaving to go to my room for the night, I was exhausted and just wanted to sleep. Yet again, two security officers ran after me and told me I was being kicked out. I asked why and the only response they gave is someone complained of harassment. I believe I had hugged a man who was married and his terrible wife was jealous. They told me I was warned this morning I would be kicked out if I had any more complaints, this was not true, if anything the morning officers were nothing but friendly and apologetic for the confusion. I was immediately kicked out, they watched me pack my room, and refused to hold my bags inside while I went next door to get a room. I had to carry all of my bags two blocks away at 1am and finally made it to fountain blue. I was not able to get a room until the next day and the earliest they allowed me to check in was 5am. I had to spend four hours in the lobby with my phone almost dead and no food. Luckily I was able to get a room and they have treated me SO much better here. The worst part of all this is they refused to give me a refund, even a partial refund, for the night they kicked me out. I will be filing a dispute with my credit card. This was supposed to be a relaxing vacation and it couldn’t have been worse. I ruined my new lashes sobbing for hours last night and have a terrible migraine this morning from the stress. I hope this hotel never treats another guest this way again, but unfortunately it seems to not be ran in the professional way it presents itself.
It was an overall good experience. Would I come back? Meh, there are some nicer ones nearby for the same price, but the food was good, room was great and service was excellent. Its not that I wont go back, lets just say it would make my top 10 in Miami if that makes sense. We stayed here 3 days then moved over to the Miami Beach Edition hotel. Room was a corner room and very spacious. What was somewhat annoying was the menu at the restaurant out by the beach kept changing their menu from the prior day and it was irritating that simple items werent available the following day. Food and drink per person averaged about $33/person. Would definitely come back in the future.
Worst experience ever at Nobu!I booked this hotel through cheapoair and came all the way from Canada to enjoy some warm time in Miami and was disappointedby this hotel!I booked a deluxe room with ocean view. When I checked in and saw my room it was nothing like the picture and I barely had an ocean view. I was blocked by 2 huge buildings from both sides.I paid over $1000USD for TWO nights!I said no problem, this will be my summer treat! But in reality, the view is all blocked! So after I saw my room, I went down and talked to the receptionist she said sorry we don’t have any rooms available at the front building, so the only available room we have is yours.I called cheapoair, whom I initially booked through and they said take pictures and we can open a case for you when you come back!I took pictures, went back home, and started to follow up. Nobu hotel said the room I got was an ocean view and the prices they charge $500 per night is correct and this is what they call ocean view!I will attach pictures on the room I got and it shows how my view wasn’t an ocean view.Don’t be scammed by this hotel. I am very upset and disappointed and will NEVER come back. I wish I stayed at Fountainbleu hotel as I always do than coming here!
As a long-time fan of Nobu restaurants, I had high expectations for the Nobu Hotel in Miami, hoping for an experience as five-star as the dining. Here’s how my stay measured up:ServiceThe service was phenomenal from the start. I was able to check in super early since my room was ready. The staff were attentive and made the process smooth and welcoming. Additionally, I ordered ice bags to my room as a priority, and they arrived within minutes, showcasing the prompt and efficient service.RoomThe room was great and super clean. The bathroom was beautiful, though I wished it had two sinks, especially for a room with two double queen beds. It was fine overall, but considering the price, I expected a bit more luxury, like a balcony or a double sink in the bathroom.AmenitiesI regret not having the chance to check out the spa. The pool and beach were excellent, but the adult pool could have been cleaner. For a nearly five-star hotel, the presence of dirt and possibly algae or mildew on the pool sides was disappointing. Additionally, the prices for drinks were exorbitant—$90 for two margaritas on the beach and $80 for two mojitos at the pool felt excessive, even for Miami.AmbienceThe ambience was beautiful, with access to all the resort amenities and the beach right in front. However, the dining options were limited for a hotel of this caliber. With only Nobu, Ocean Social, and a small café available, the choices were slim, especially since the kitchen closes at 10 PM. More restaurants and a few additional bars would significantly enhance the experience.OverallWhile my stay at the Nobu Hotel had its highlights, particularly the excellent service and clean, stylish room, there were several areas that fell short of my expectations for a near five-star hotel. The lack of dining options, high drink prices, and cleanliness issues at the adult pool were notable drawbacks. Despite these, the hotel’s location and general ambience were definite positives.I would rate it a solid 3.7 out of 5.
It’s ok. That’s about it. Just go for the restaurant and stay somewhere else.2 stars because the balcony has no privacy. The hotel plays with words, “inclusive breakfast” is NOT inclusive. I found that out later after being told by staff it comes with my room. I some how paid for 2 resort fees. It got to the point where I would have paid to leave. I chose not to complain about the lack of transparency and left after a night and went to the ritz where I stayed the remaining week of my vacation. This hotel needs a major upgrade.- elevators- different color lighting in halls (TACKY)- overall vibe was not 5 star more like and upgraded la Quinta- Lackluster activities- Pools are outdated- The list goes on but I’m getting tired of wasting more time on this reviewYour better off going to the RITZ or my favorite the “W” for this price point.
My wife and I came down in June to celebrate our 19th year anniversary. This is a very niiiiice resort and hotel right off the beach with plenty of food spots and swimming pools and spas as well and nice views. Customer service is great , people are friendlyThe only disappointment is that it rained the majority of the time ,but we managed to still enjoy as theres quite a lot to do to make the best of our time and the storms stopped eventually so we could go out to the beach. We plan to come back next year.
Wanted to find a great hotel on the ocean side of Miami and this one did not disappoint. Beautiful and sexy space, tons pool and lounge space off the main lobby:bar area. Walks right out to an ocean path which has the beach and ocean right there. Super convenient. Easy to get to lots of different areas in Miami as it’s relatively close to the main interstate, but not noises at all.
We had a great stay here. The rooms were comfortable, hotel had a great vibe. Pools were nice but all in the shade by the afternoon. The restaurants were great, Ocean Social overlooking the beach was awesome.Concierge was rubbish and said that because the hotel was fully booked she wouldnt be able to help anyone with anything. A rather odd approach.
We had items stolen from us from their housekeeping staff. Management did nothing about it.Food at the restaurants is bland and overpriced for the lack of flavor.Spa was nice and worth it.
Do not stay here! There isn’t even a “Nobu Hotel.” You just end up staying at Eden Roc Hotel and they call it Nobu Hotel because the restaurant is there. The amenities are terrible and service at the front was terrible. I tried calling the front desk at 11pm because the AC stopped working and found out they only service the guests until 9pm. Terrible service!
TERMITE INFESTED HOTEL! BEWAREOur recent stay at Nobu Hotel in Miami unfortunately turned out to be an incredibly disappointing and disheartening experience. From the moment we checked in, we encountered a series of issues that marred what should have been an enjoyable stay. The most alarming problem arose when we discovered that our assigned room was infested with termites. The sight was not only unpleasant but also raised serious concerns about the hotels maintenance standards. We immediately reported the issue to the staff, expecting a swift and effective resolution. However, the response from the management team was far from satisfactory. Instead of addressing the issue promptly and transparently, we were met with a dismissive attitude. The offered solution was different room (which is to be expected from having an infestation in our original room) and a mere credit, which failed to compensate for the distress and inconvenience caused by the presence of termites in our room. What added to the disappointment was the disrespectful treatment we experienced. The staffs demeanor left much to be desired, lacking the courtesy and professionalism one would expect from a high-end establishment like Nobu. The managements attempt to justify the situation further aggravated our dissatisfaction, as their explanations were poorly communicated and failed to provide a sense of accountability.Throughout our stay, the management teams handling of the situation made us feel uncomfortable and undervalued as guests. The lack of empathy and genuine concern for our well-being was evident, leaving a lasting negative impression on our overall experience. In conclusion, our stay at Nobu Hotel in Miami was far from the luxurious and enjoyable experience we anticipated. To be noted, we’ve stayed at other Nobu hotels and this is a WALMART version of one.The presence of termites, combined with the inadequate response from the management team, disrespectful treatment, and uncomfortable justifications, made this visit one we will remember for all the wrong reasons. It is disheartening to witness such a renowned establishment fall short of expectations, were posting this so all future hotel guest are aware of this infestation.
Escape to Miami Beach and indulge in a resort experience that offers the freedom to explore every corner of this vibrant city. The staff are simply outstanding—warm, welcoming, and endlessly helpful. Treat your taste buds to delicious cuisine and drinks, including an unforgettable dining experience at Nobu Miami restaurant. Nestled on the shores of the Atlantic, this resort is a true slice of heaven.
One of the worst hotels I’ve been to. For being a five star I rather stay at holiday inns. The food was horrendous, drinks were garbage and the rooms had centipedes. This hotel honestly gives Nobu a bad name( big fan of their NYC food). Only good part about this place is that it’s located around tourist areas to visit plus the beach right outside. Other than that, consider staying somewhere else
For a first time experience at Nobu, we were disappointed by the service. We had to ask 3 times for our room to get cleaned. Elevators were a disaster with lines to get on at the lobby due to one of the elevators being down. Hotel gym had broken machinery. Our room shower head had a leak which created poor water pressure (never fixed). There seems to be a pattern of a lack of maintenance here. Can’t say that I’m eager to come back or recommend this location if this is the sort of status quo service to expect during your stay.
Don’t waste your money. This is NOT a 5 star hotel - you will feel scammed if you come here expecting that. The service is awful, the furniture is filthy, the food is average, I could go on. We wish we listened to the reviews.
Its not worth it at all. Excessive prices that promise 5-star treatment and do not live up to it. The design and layout of the room are nice but everything regarding the service is very average. The only thing that stands out is the attention of the guys who welcome you and help with your suitcase, the rest is terrible.
Great rooms, beautiful pools, easy access to the boardwalk and beach, wonderful lobby and bar. Perfect spot for our gathering.Shout out to the amazing event staff and special thanks to Mayelin (plus Daphne, Nash, Pierre, Ricardo, et al) in the beach restaurant. Many, many thanks.
My reservation at Nobu hotel was marked by frustration from the moment of check-in.Despite resquesting a room with an ocean view and balcony, this requirement was not met and they just say that was no availability ,Inginoring my previous request ! When I made the reservation I decided to call atrás do it online just to make sure we had ower wish room! I trust on the person the i spoke by phone 🥹 ! When I try to solve the problem they said manage was going to call me and never did and I went to front desk to try find a solution people say the manage was “too busy at the moment”My experience was disappointed ! The lack of transparency ,failure to communicate and unsatisfactory from management left a negative impression!I recomended the future guests be prepared for possible seatbacks and carefully consider their options before booking at this hotel!
Maybe Nobu will respond to this review because Eden Roc management doesnt care. Buy a drill for the umbrellas on the beach.I have stayed at this hotels six times before (Nobu and Eden Roc), but this will be my last time. Its 90 degrees outside, the wind is 13 miles per hour, and the beach staff forced everyone to close their umbrellas. I asked to talk with the manager, and the manager came with the security director, Omar, rud conversation, they couldnt explain why all the other resorts have their umbrellas open while only Eden Rock and Nobu have closed theirs. Additionally, the patio is dirty, the fridge doesnt work, and the lights in the bathroom are out. Pictures will be attached.5/18 11AM
This is NOT a five star hotel and it’s misleading they advertise as such. It is literally just the Eden Roc hotel with a different room. Same service and amenities outside of the “Nobu pool” which is not anymore luxurious than the other pools. The service is also far from a five star experience - would avoid staying here if looking for a nice 5 star
Extremely disappointing service. This hotel is really not up to standard compared to other Nobu hotels. We had two days where our room wasn’t cleaned after requesting multiple times. We had to listen to this construction work noise by the pool all day, this is not how a hotel should be operated considering the price this hotel is charging. The service is extremely bad.
Need more parking, seeing this is a beach hotel. Very congested for parking. You will be driving around for 30m or more unless you get lucky. I almost missed my brothers wedding and thats how full they are! Tragic, do better.
They charge a %20 gratuity for everything you buy and another 10% fee for serving you and at the end of the trip they add on 50 bucks a day for a resort fee. spent more in fees then i did this whole trip
I have been to a lot of hotels around the world but Nobu Miami Beach tops them all. From the moment we checked in, we had an excellent experience. Extremely friendly and helpful staff from the cleaning staff to the bar tenders. All amazing. Incrediblely clean and beautiful rooms not to mention the bathroom which was stunning.Poolside bar and restaurant was fantastic. We stayed at this hotel after we got engaged during our trip to Miami and the staff mailed us complementary gifts to our home! What a fantastic bunch. I cannot praise this establishment enough. Thank you for the best experience.Well definitely be coming back.Cant recommend this place enough!
We had a bumpy start to our experience, and the Nobu hotel was able to recover and turn the experience into 5 star. The Bumps: welcome drink only has alcohol with no NA version, there was only 1 robe and set of slippers, the toiletries were old/used, and the room wasn’t quite to expectations because of a slight miscommunication between booking and checkin that was partially my fault. The Great: even though it was after midnight when we discovered the toiletries and robe, the EDEN ROC desk staff was friendly and addressed the issue immediately. We had fresh items, robe and slippers in 15 minutes. The next morning we had a conversation with Gabriella at the NOBU front desk, and she was able to make things right quickly. We are blown away at how friendly and gracious the staff is.Cafe Inez has great coffee with speedy service. The pools and beach amenities were clean, plentiful and well attended to. The spa was top notch. Tanoshi Hour rules! Some of the less than stellar reviews of Nobu Hotel could have probably been rectified by having a friendly conversation with the appropriate staff because most of the time folks in hospitality want everyone to have a good time.Would and will book again!
Can’t get good sleep here. You can hear people opening and closing their doors. The staircase door is even louderWindows aren’t good either. You can hear the parties, firetrucks, loud car custom exhaustsMoving rooms doesn’t solve the problem. They need to do some upgrades to the rooms to block out the noiseIt doesn’t feel like a 4 or 5 star hotel stayThe call button to front desk didn’t work overnight. Had to go to front desk to discuss about these issuesMy stay is from Feb 7-11 and so far it’s been terrible experience
The rooms and the location was good but the room service is not that good I hade to wait 30 minutes because my safe will not open but the lobby sevice is good
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Nobu. The experience was amazing. The pools and beach are well maintained and the service was amazing. The room was incredible as well. Above all and most importantly Dalila the guest manager was beyond amazing. She is so welcoming, kind, and friendly. We are truly grateful to her. Nobu is definitely lucky to have someone like her among their employees.
The environment was pleasant and welcoming. Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled and easy. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. At the beach, you are allowed two chairs per one room but not the case at the pool. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Miami.
My husband and I were both shocked and disappointed during our most resent stay at NOBU Miami. We stayed at the hotel in November, 2022, and it was wonderful. (I even wrote a 5-star review!) This time (May, 2024), it was terrible, and we believe its because there has been a change in management. The hotel was very hot, including the rooms; the amenities were gone. I had to ask for slippers, the shampoo, lotion and soap was never replenished, there were no Q-Tips, cotton or shower caps, and there was no place to hang anything in the room or bathroom. Even the drawers were not useful; each was originally outfitted as a bar, so you couldnt put clothes in them. The hotel itself was dirty. The lobby bar experience was marred by the stains on the ceiling and the filthy A/C grills. The carpeting in our room didnt look clean, and the spa wasnt the cleanest, either. Towels were stacked high in the bin in the Ladies Locker Room, and used flip flops were everywhere. While the staff were sweet, they were scrambling to keep up with the guests; it was obvious the hotel is understaffed. Everywhere, staff were sweating and running, be it for your car, a cocktail, your meal at Ocean Social, a towel at the beach or your luggage. We felt badly for the staff, since they were clearly working hard to make the guests happy. The cut-backs at the hotel are obvious, and due to that, the hotel now attracts a rather unpleasant demographic. At night, the halls were filled with screaming 20-somethings; there were bachelorette parties taking place, and what was a beautiful, family-friendly hotel in 2022 has become the place for the all-night party crowd. We even left our room one morning to see a pool of blood in front of a neighboring room, with the staff - once again - scrambling to clean up the unsightly mess. The only attraction is NOBU, where the food is consistently excellent. Unfortunately, we wont be returning for the aforementioned reasons.
Nobu seems way overrated. The room was sub par at best. Missing items, the AC didnt work correctly and the room (for what we paid) was way too small.Everything is naturally over priced and the 24% service charge is way too excessive then to have your waiter hover over to see if you will be adding a tip is intimidating to say the least. The only highlight is the staff - every interaction was positive.PS - Get more towels as they ran out twice during our stay. All in all for the Nobu name - I was utterly disappointed overall.
We stayed at the Nobu Hotel in South Beach Miami and upon arrival, we were warmly greeted with champagne, setting a luxurious tone for our stay. The rooms were modern and elegantly designed, providing a comfortable and stylish atmosphere. The location was great and the beach was truly stunning, offering a setting for relaxation. However, we did have an issue with the beach chair management. Despite having three guests in our room, we were only provided with two lounge chairs and were informed we would have to pay for an additional chair. This policy was frustrating, especially given the ample availability of the chairs.Additionally, we dined at the renowned Nobu restaurant, but found it to be mediocre at best. Having tasted plenty of delicious sushi elsewhere, I dont believe it lived up to the hype.In summary, while Nobu Hotel offered a beautiful setting and well appointed rooms, certain aspects of our stay needed improvement for a more seamless experience. However, overall I would go back to this hotel.
Very dissappointed with how bad the service at nobu has gotten here. I usually love Nobu hotel but the location in Miami has the worse service and staff. As soon as i checked in and got into my room, my friend and I staying here couldnt get down, along with others because the elevators were down. From the 14th floor we had to walk down 14 flights of stairs, out the exit door outside of the building and back around to the front. Then I was told i couldnt sit in the lobby bar area with outside food even though i told him i was staying at the hotel all because my friend wanted to eat and i didnt. So now im sitting by the entrance door while my friend is sitting by herself in the bar area seperately. The service and staff here is NOT worth the price!
This is possibly the best hotel in South Beach; from the moment we arrived the staff were all very friendly and willing to help with any issue. The location is excellent being right on the beach, the architecture and layout of the building is appealing. The pools, spa and restaurants are top notch. The rooms are clean and room service was great, we had clean towels and a clean room every day. The room service staff were all really nice and greeted us every time we saw them, we had a couple cool conversations with them. Our Flight was cancelled last min by the airline without proper notification while we were checking in at the airport. I was really angry and upset, but we had to make other travel arrangements to make it to south beach. I contacted the reservations department of Nobu and they were kind enough to refund us for the first night that we were unable to make it.My family and I did stay with another another hotel for the last night of our vacation in order to compare. I am not going to name them but they were more expensive than Nobu Edenroc. I will just say that we should have stayed every night at Nobu because the other hotel paled in comparison. The Nobu Hotel was better in every way possible. Going forward my family will only stay at Nobu Edenroc when we go back to Miami.
I stayed here recently as a birthday solo trip and overall had a good trip. However there are a few things to keep in mind when visiting. The hotel is older and you can tell by the quality in the decor and furniture, especially if you have visited other Nobu resorts. It’s been through obvious wear and tear over the years with wood peeling off the chairs and scuffed wood floors. The pool and beach are nice but the seagulls are aggressive! They will attempt to attack you and/or eat the food off your plate. Beach service was so slow i had to find someone to take my trash so they would stop circling my umbrella. A special thank you to Ms. Gwendolyn in room service she was so incredibly kind and sweet and even sang me happy birthday! Upon checking out it took a week for me to receive my final receipt and the hold for incidentals to be lifted and only were after i filled in the guest experience survey that i was sent twice. Angena in guest services emailed me about my experience and offered 2 complimentary nights to rectify but never replied, go figures. I would not consider this location a 5star resort, 4 at best. Save your money and stay on the Eden Roc side, they have access to the same amenities.
This is our favorite hotel in the United States. The location is the best because its easy to get to things. The views and the beach are amazing. The best thing is the staff. All the way from the bell individuals to the top management, they are truly top notch. We have stayed there three times over several years and its the only place well ever stay in Miami.
Very nice property, expensive to be honest. Rooms are nice, comfortable bed, could use softer pillows. Food is very expensive, spend 29 dollars on a single margarita.
Pros: Great helpful front desk staff! Beautiful spacious rooms. Nice pools! Pool staff friendly and attentive! Fast valet parking! Plenty options for food!Cons: I received used jam jar with my room service breakfast :( The cleaning staff were not very friendly and just left the room without finishing when I entered twice. Never received new cups for in-room tea/coffee.*Subjective: the hotel scent is very strong and unpleasant. Only in the lobby and halls, not in the actual room.
Among the 5-star hotels, Nobu hotel is the cheapest… also I travelled alone, so it might be a good option for solo trip.At least the room is big, well-renovated, and clean.Nobu is also well known for the Japanese cuisine. I didn’t try the Nobu restaurant inside of the hotel, but I tried another one in Cali, which was not bad. However, you will see better omakase choices than Nobu. The coconut i bought in the bar was not fresh or sweet.if your budget is high, don’t live in this hotel.
Staff was very nice and on top of things. Hotel was a breeze to navigate, and I appreciated the direct access to the beach. Only thing preventing from 5 stars is because our room was a little beat up and some amenities were down. The no-kids pool was a treat and not crowded.
This was an awful experience compared to our expectations from Chef. We’ve dreamed of staying here. The hotel and the views are beautiful, but it stops there. The training and hospitality are non-existent. The guest experience is so poor. It’s obvious the staff dislikes working here, or maybe just working in general. They were unfriendly, lacked knowledge about the report, and slow across the board.-our hotel bike chain broke a mile away from the hotel. Rather than picking us up, the hotel left us stranded and made us figure out our own way back.-our room phone was broken the entire time. We had to go to the lobby to order room service after we were already trying to rest for the night. We asked them numerous times to fix our phone throughout our stay. Nada. safety hazard!-Nobu restaurant quit taking food orders an hour before closing!-the other restaurant told us they had gluten free pizza. 20 minutes later, literally, the server came back and said they actually don’t. At this point we’re starving. He recommended the burger on a gluten free bun. For the record…White toast is not a gluten free bun!-we buzzed down for our car. We came down 15 minutes later, per instructions, and the valet was literally asleep. That’s right. Counting sheep. What about our car? It was not in sight.-one of our reasons for staying was to experience the tea ceremony and the origami. We also were excited about the daily yoga. The concierge and sold us on all three when we called about the hotel. Well, yoga is not daily and the ceremonial tea was apparently canceled weeks ago. How does the staff not know this?!-22% gratuities are automatically added to bills. The staff does not tell you that when they drop the bill, hoping for a double tip.If you’re considering staying here, don’t. You will be disappointed beyond belief. This is a three star hotel at best.Stay at The Edition instead.
Wouldn’t stay here again.Staff training seems poor — We had an issue with the room phone breaking and room service not being available as a result. We got transferred 3x times on the phone, and twice to a voicemail box. Staff seemed poorly equipped to handle the situation. Also the overall staff vibe from the bartenders to the maids to the front desk seems significantly lower quality than the other 5 star hotels in the area I’ve stayed at recently. Less professional overall.AC in the room can’t get to temperature and stopped working at 2 AM. The room was hot.The TV system in the rooms is so old. Zero music options. Not the end of the world but again, the other 5 star hotels in the area have significantly better and more modern systems.Fire Alarm in the room blinked very brightly all night. The closet doors were a bit banged up and don’t close all the way, so again, a bit of light at night showing through them. The robes in the room are snagged and seem dated. The toiletries are not half decent / impressive. Not great ingredients and not the same quality as other 5 star hotels in the area.
Nobu was a 10/10 for our girls trip! The service was impeccable and the hotel manager, Michael?! Omg! We adored him. He was able to manage our needs perfectly. Would definitely stay again. The service was just outstanding!
After an unfortunate airport experience the Nobu immediately started making us feel relaxed and valued.Starting with the Nobu Welcome of the most delicious Sake youll ever have and the cold towel, we had our room upgraded! The front desk was happy and quick to assist with anything we needed. The property is upscale, more quiet than you would expect, and the pools were certainly enjoyable.Would definitely stay here again.
I stayed at Nobu during the Memorial Day weekend and I had a blast. The exclusive Nobu guest pool was the best. You can order your food and drinks from the poolside. Audrey, at the front desk was spectacular. Anything you need she was there to assist. It was like having your own concierge. I will definitely visit there again.
The Nobu hotel has everything it needs to be a perfect stay except for its rude front desk. I had to call the Miami police (who were incredibly helpful) to gain access to my own room which I had paid for on my own credit card. The lady at the front desk refused to let me into my own room, denied me booking another room for me to sleep in and ensured that I had as tough a time as possible to get to my room (which Miami pd solved in about 30 seconds). All the while my girlfriend was asleep in the room but they refused to attempt to wake her up. When I attempted to post a review, the lady at the front desk took a photo of me and then sent her security team to threaten me to take down the post. Stay away from this hotel.
This was the second time weve stayed at Nobu Miami Beach for business. We would stay there again.
STAY AWAY. While the hotel itself is nice and in a favorable location - the service and specifically the front desk will ruin your trip. Not only is the front desk staff incredibly rude, they also will search for any excuse to not honor any sort of promotion or provide any sort of accommodation for their guests during your stay. The website boasts promotions for people who are Florida residents to come visit - the website fails to notify you that those perks will solely be available to you if you book through a specific link on their website (Even if you book ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE, via phone, or through an external booking site the promotion will not be honored and you will not know until you receive your bill. This sort of car sales-esque marketing technique is not something I would have ever expected from a hotel claiming to be a 5-star hotel. As someone who travels very frequently and mostly to highly rated hotels (and quite frankly as someone who really never leaves reviews negative or positive for such hotels) I was stunned by the lack of professionalism displayed by the front desk and management of this hotel. We will never be back.
The hotel is nowhere near NOBU standard. its a very old hotel with beaten-up rooms. The Nobu restaurant is nice and global level. Poor value for money.
We stayed at the Nobu Hotel over the July 4th long weekend. While we did enjoy our time, there were a few things that made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome and we will likely not return to this hotel if we go back to Miami. The good:-The face-to-face interactions we had with everyone was truly the wow factor. A special shoutout goes to Mattia and Kimberly at the pool/beach who made our visit extra special! They were the best part of the trip.-the in-room dining and poolside bar were GREAT! We had GREAT meals at both and very fun drinks. Ask for the coconut water in the coconut - such a wow factor and delicious. The two dine-in restaurants were frankly not impressive, but we loved the other options.-the Nobu-specific pool is great! Beautiful, small, and great service. They dont have enough umbrellas for everyone, so come early on busy days!-great soundproofing. We never heard other guests, and Im sure there were people coming back late night.-Fun little freebies here and there at the pool (like fresh watermelon and coconut water) was a nice treat. The Bad:They have some sort of tablet system in the room for customer requests like in-room dining and housekeeping requests but it seems to be semi-functioning. We tried to request firmer pillows but the tablet wouldnt let us put in our preference for the type of pillow (feather or foam). We called the housekeeping line, who then told us the tablet doesnt work...okay...why is it there then? Anyway, we still didnt even get our pillows that night and had to request them two more times the next days. When we did get them, we didnt feel any difference in firmness which was very disappointing. We stuck to their texting request system for the rest of the trip and that worked, but then take the non functioning tablet out of the way if theres a better alternative? There were a lot of details like that (things like giving us the wrong toiletries after clarifying in-person multiple times) that were unexpectedly missing for the price and quality of the hotel.-Unfortunately, we found something black growing in our sink faucet. Not surprising for a hotel, but it was so prolific that it was falling into the sink...not appropriate for the quality.-There seemed to be multiple elevators out or maybe too many people booked at the hotel (since they kept running out of things like water bottles). The wait times for the elevators was unbearably long, and multiple guests said the same thing to us.-On our last night, we were shockingly woken up someone speaking on the intercom system at 1:20 AM. It seemed like they were about to announce an emergency/evacuation, then someone whispered to the announcer, then they said it was a false alarm. False alarm or not, it scared us pretty badly. For a brief second, we were picturing what to grab and how to run out of the hotel in case it was all on fire! My husband was unable to go back to sleep for 3 hours because of the adrenaline, and we had to leave for an early flight! When we checked out, I mentioned how upsetting and scary that was for us to the front desk - he just kind of laughed and said it was a mistake the engineers made while messing around!! No apology, no concessions...absolutely no empathy for the chaos their mistake caused. That situation alone ruined all of the good experiences we had at the hotel - honestly, we were trying hard to overlook all of the things I mentioned above and wouldve left a good review if not for this last thing that left such a sour taste in our mouth. Worst of all, this situation reflects a general lack of care from management expressed in other reviews - so I dont expect this to change. Such a shame!
“REAL REVIEW” I just want everyone to know that I was nervous from reading reviews beforehand, but this hotel was amazing all around. From the second I walked in I was greeted and offered a free glass of champagne. The rooms were exactly as advertised, they were beautiful and clean. The beds are also very comfortable. Next, the pool area is insane! There are plenty of bars and the views are breathtaking. I also seem many reviews about room service not being great and the hotel having a shortage of towels. None of that was true, service was great all around and I never had any problems getting anything I wanted. This hotel gets a 10/10 in my book and I would 100% consider it to be a 5 star hotel.
It was just okay. Large pools and lively nightlife. The room itself was very average with dated and dingy decor. Mini bar in the room. A safe. Only 1 robe. The bed was comfortable. Service was friendly but not outstanding or particularly accommodating. The location wasnt convenient to restaurants or the beach. For the price, I wouldnt stay here again.
My husband and I stayed here for our 10th anniversary trip, and had a lovely time - great location and service, and beautiful room. We were happy with the choice and would recommend to others, but it wasnt perfect. Heres what we liked about the hotel, and some suggestions for improvement:THE GREAT:- Room views/ambience. We were upgraded to a Zen Suite -- which was not in fact a suite, but was spacious and comfortable, and had stunning floor-to-ceiling windows with a gorgeous wraparound balcony. See photos.- Mid-Beach Location. The hotel is on mid-beach, which is a longish walk or short drive from the hubbub of South Beach. This suited us well because we could go check out the South Beach scene, but enjoy some peace and quiet at night.- Pool/Beach. The hotel has a private beachfront along with an adults-only pool overlooking the water. We thoroughly enjoyed both - the beach is lovely and highly swimmable (gentle surf, soft sand); and the pool deck was well staffed with towel and beverage service, and not overrun.- Personnel. We were very impressed with the folks working at the hotel -- from our housekeepers, to Alejandro the concierge, to the lady who served drinks at the pool (whose name I unfortunately dont remember but who was great and very on top of things). Also, we mentioned when checking in that we were celebrating our anniversary, and the next day we returned to our room to find a fresh fruit place with a happy anniversary note! It was a very nice touch.THE NOT SO GREAT:- $35 Charge for Umbrellas. While visiting the beach we were rather stunned to be told that an umbrella rental would cost $35. This is on top of a very pricey room rate, plus the resort fee racket that seems to be standard nowadays. Ive resigned myself to the resort fee thing, but getting charged for a beach umbrella is a new low and very disappointing.- So-so/Limited Food Options. For a hotel chain spun out of a restaurant, the food options were oddly limited. We had apps at the Nobu restaurant in the lobby and enjoyed them, but the restaurant was overcrowded and is in the middle of the hectic lobby, which is weirdly shared with another hotel. It also has no view. Theres another restaurant (Ocean Social) overlooking the water, which had a nice vibe but was basically mediocre. Even the so-called cafe, which was really a sundry shop, had more limited snack offerings than I would expect. It didnt matter all that much because there are many great options in the surrounding area, but it was a limitation.- Common Areas Could Use a Facelift. Though the pool and room were lovely, the indoor common areas could use some attention. The hallways were so dark I almost needed a flashlight, and the elevators were slow, overcrowded, and lurching. The lobby was a mob scene.- Impractical Bathroom. Our room, including the bathroom, was spacious and attractive, but the bathroom wasnt especially functional. It did not have any of the following: good lighting for makeup, adequate towel/swim suit hanging space, adequate counter space on the double vanity, a ledge in the shower for leg shaving (this is missing from many hotels and I have never understood it), or a privacy door for the toilet.
The worst hotel experience of my life. My room was robbed in a matter of 15 minutes that I left and quickly returned. The only key card entrance was a housekeeper that entered (did not clean) and proceeded to lie I left a note on the bed to not clean. Felony level theft, with absolutely no regard for our safety or reasonable security of any items left in our room.Filed a police report, and insurance claim and was told that because there are no cameras in our room, guests are defaulted as liars and have no path to recover stolen items by staff.I was told that anything of value should be in our safe; including all computers, all of our clothing, handbags, jackets, and any premium toiletries because its all fair game. p.s there is no way for that all to fit in the safe! When we went to bed the first evening and un-tucked the duvet it was covered in blood. Not a laundered blood stain, but a handfull size of fresh blood. Absolutely disgusted, I called downstairs and someone ran up a new duvet cover- but this was saturated so we needed the stuffing as well. At midnight- I am stuffing a duvet cover rather than our room being properly serviced and the bed turned. At $1,300+ a night, and co-hosting a 3 day event on premise-- hundreds of thousands of dollars was spent throughout this venue and they couldnt even comp. the value of the $1,000 theft I experienced, or a room for the evening to accommodate the same value. After numerous conversations and unreturned calls from management to resolve this situation or accept any responsibility. I can only warn potential guests to STAY AWAY. This is not a business that can be trusted or provide any ease while attempting to relax or focus on work while staying there. When I spoke to police, they said that hotel staff theft should have its own line at the police department because of the sheer amount of daily reports and the lack of ability to prosecute or recover items because of a lack of video evidence. Which there should never be a camera in your room for privacy reasons- obviously.Guests should be made whole, regardless of their ability show video proof of theft. We all expect more from the Nobu brand, and they should take serious steps internally. The only suggestion, is to call ahead to any hotel that you are booking and inquire of the size of the in-room safes. Keep any luggage locked and apparently, bike chain it to something that cant be removed. This is ridiculous that room theft is part of the expected guest experience.
Currently staying here now and couldnt wait for the end of my trip to brag about the hospitality we received from Dalila, the guest service manager. She has been absolutely incredible, prior to us even arriving to the hotel. Her accommodations, responsiveness and genuine concern to give us the best experience was a breath of fresh air. With all the beautiful places to stay in south Beach, this customer service at the Nobu is what separates them from the rest. I cant wait to plan my next stay here.
On the whole the hotel is very nice but it is just a bit to busy for meat weekends. We stayed for 8 days. The rooms are very nice and staff very helpful too. They even managed to order my Weetabix Cereal in for me from a local supermarket as we left some behind in New York which was great. The food needs to be improved though. Very limited breakfast at Ocean Social. Thank god I travelled with my own Weetabix cereal. Never known a breakfast restaurant that doesn’t offer cereal. The worlds most popular breakfast food and the US eats more than any nation int he world. Madness. Also had issues with fruits. Like a lack of bananas or raspberries. I had to order from room service and bring down each morning. The brunch at weekends is so poor as well. Very unhealthy and to not offer lunch at the Ocean social at weekends is not good. Brunch menu is very limited. Fish of the day was poor too. Same each day and terribly cooked. Nobu restaurant was excellent and coffee bar at the front is really good. The beach is nice but the food that is offered is very poor and limited. Also the beds are so uncomfortable. No padding on them so for a slim person like me not very good as I need the cushioning when lying down. Gym was excellent. I went every day before breakfast and it was a lovely spacious place with not many people in it. Needs another stationary Bike though. One is not enough. The food that I order from room service to store in my fridge like semi-skimmed milk and my berries was excellent and they did provide me with a free fridge for the room which was a very kind gesture and helpful.I just like smaller hotels and found the place a bit overwhelming at times. Miami is a bit too of a party place for me.Restaurants in the local area were superb.Hotel also charge $35 for a beach umbrella. Joke. Front desk also very hard to get hold of by phone. Staff need to speak better English in restaurants and also Concierge very slow to respond to emails. Not like New York or London. Our room was nice apart from the usual rubbish US tv. It’s so bad. The free fridge which I asked for, for my milk and berries was very handy and a much appreciated gesture. The hotel will be loved by some and not by others. I didn’t hate it nor love it. It was just fine. For a 5 star hotel it needs to improve a few things.
I recently stayed at Nobu Hotel Miami Beach and it was beyond my expectations. Chamise did everything in her power to make my daughter‘s sweet 16 trip most memorable. She sent up to the room balloons, a fruit platter and a card signed by the employees. It was beyond sweet. Every time I called down to the front desk they immediately sent whatever I was requesting right up to the room. At the pool every day they served the guests complementary fruit and alcoholic beverages. It was truly one of my best days at Miami Beach. I would recommend this hotel 100 times over to anyone that’s considering it. Thanks Nobu for making our trip most memorable!!
The hotel and staff were amazing. One particular staff member stood out. Jeremy, at the front desk, was so warm and welcoming. He really made our anniversary getaway perfect. He offered us a room upgrade with beautiful views of the bay. In addition, he offered us a complimentary glass of champagne at check in. The social club outdoor restaurant also had wonderful staff with A+ service and food. The exclusive Pool for Nobu guests was a bonus and the happy hour on the penthouse level of the hotel offered amazing views with complimentary champagne and wine. The only hiccup we had was that our rental car sustained a dent the same day we checked in. We checked in about 3:00 after picking our car up from Avis. When we summoned our vehicle for dinner around 7:45 we noticed a dent that was not present upon our valet check in. One of the attendants by the name of Vladimir was nice to take multiple pictures and advised us to speak to the valet manager the next day. Fortunately, we were able to speak with Sam, the valet manager) the next morning and he had us fill out claim paperwork and assured us that the claim submission process would be handled on their end. Hopefully, this will be the case, as this was the only damper to an amazing stay at Nobu.
First time leaving a negative review for hotel, and it’s for a 5 star hotel.Had to write this at 3:30 am because parties outside in the hallway wakes us up in the middle of night and no one can address it! The very poor experience started from checking in when they failed to prepare our room at 4pm with no estimate on when the room would be ready. The staff’s tone isn’t appreciated neither as quoted from her: if the room is the priority we can change to the standard room” (we booked for ocean view ) , which was hilarious to me as I have to pay for their mistake? ) She also had other comments that make me feel it’s not the hotels fault, it’s my fault.Ended up we checked in at 4:30ish, and the same night 3am, i waked up by hearing parties outside on the hallway, non-stop.Understand it’s miami but this is the public luxurious hotel with people have different travel plans next day. I tried to call the room service or whoever to check but found out the phone in the room doesn’t work- what a shame for this experience happening in a 5 star? We had to go downstairs at 3:30am to address our issues but guess what, I don’t know if anyone come up and check at all because it is still loud outside as if they are in our room. I can hear what they say in every word.I should have checked other low ratings to do a duo diligence before booking. They all had similar issues like the broken phone, etc. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had. Even worse than a no star hotel. I hope I can talk to the manager and understand how to fix all these poor experience—Day 2: AC in our room is broken.—-Day 3:Hearting party all night from other rooms. The room is not soundproof enough.
If you want to go to the worst hotel with the most horrible service in Miami you found the right place. When we ordered towels to the room we had to wait over two hours and to order some food at the pool you’ll have to wait at least an hour and a half ! The housekeeping entered in to our room without knocking on the door when i was naked and wanted to take a shower I was yelling to her her do not come in and yet she opened the door and looked who was in the room !! that was one of the worst experiences for me and for my wife and we will never go back again!!! The hotel manager at the lobby was very rude to me when I asked to leave the hotel and get my money back. Please trust me and do not go there, save your money and precious time.
The worst 5 star hotel in Miami. Writing this sucks cause I’ve been coming to nobu restaurant for years and love the brand. But here’s how my awful stay at their hotel went. In the room the phone ran out of battery so I called nobu from my cell and tried to order and they said I had to call from the room phone. This is literally the main reason we wanted to stay. To order nobu in room. One of the staff was able to help place the order but when it got here my steak was WELL DONE (supposed to be medium rare). I can’t believe a chef let that out of the kitchen let alone from nobu. We got hungry at midnight and saw there was “all day” dinning so we planned on eating late night earlier. When it came time we found out they stop serving in room dining at 10:45! So we ordered Uber eats and had to go down to the valet and pick it up. Then at night the air conditioning wasn’t getting cold. I woke up in a full sweat with the ac set to 67 (it wasn’t getting to temp, stuck at 72 felt like 75)…. Then to make things worse at 4am after terrible sleep the fire alarm blinker started blinking very bright making it difficult to fall back asleep. Overall this is the worst 5 star experience I’ve ever been through. Crystal at the front desk was very nice and made the troubles a little better. All in all I won’t be coming back to nobu or the hotel. I feel very offended by the way this stay went down.
The worst service. The hotel feels old and dirty. And they do not know how to manage a hotel. The food is mediocre. Real disappointment
As a New Yorker that enjoys escaping the cold winters, Miami is a frequent destination for me. This was my first time at Nobu and I must say, we had a great experience staying here this past December. The staff was very helpful and welcoming, from check-in, the bellhops assisting with the luggage and the rest of the staff throughout the overall stay. Rooms were modern and clean. The turndown service was also on point - I feel like every time we left our room we came back to a freshly made room. We will certainly stay again.
Nobu very much so only holds weight because of the restaurant . We try to come to Miami once a month and try different resorts but coming from places like the Loews and the 1 Hotel , this place is very much so dated . The rooms were a decent size, the staff were not as accommodating as the other resorts , elevators were very slow and one was out of order , our room was dirty and we never received house keeping . We left for breakfast , lunch and a beach day to come back to the room as we left it with no new bedding or towels. The staff at the beach were horrible , they gave us our towels with no set up to lounge out.The hotel is also very boring , no life to it at all. If you go please just go eat at NOBU itself. The hotel is very much so underwhelming, old and unclean .
Nobu has been great. The staff and service is awesome. Especially Gaby at the front desk. She created an over the top experience for us. She accommodated every request and sent some small gifts up to the room. Only reason its not 5 starts is because its not a 5 star resort. Some maintenance issues and overall quality of the hotel itself. Its just old. But the vibe here makes up for what it lacks.
I hate to write a bad review, but I have no other way of contacting the hotel. I stay here annually for my anniversary and Valentines Day and I’m usually pleased. This time I was over charged for food purchases while on the beach. I told guest services upon check out and Ive tried calling several times to get this resolved. The first two times someone took my information. The last few times I’ve called I get no answer. I’ve emailed and still nothing! To top things off, I stepped on a piece of glass that must have been stuck in the rug under the bed prior to our check in. Pictures were taken and an investigation was done. It wasn’t a major cut so I didn’t make a fuss, but I did expect to hear back from the hotel for a follow up. Still NO RESPONSE. It’s been over 2 months. I can’t believe a hotel of this caliber would have such poor customer service. Looks like we’ll have to find somewhere else to go during our next visit to Miami.
Worst hotel experience I’ve had in a long time. Never write reviews, but this one needed it.Booked a couple of rooms here. Hot water not working, phone cuts out as soon as you try and ring reception…obviously don’t want calls, they picked up straight away when I rang the number from my cell phone. Had to go down to reception on numerous occasions just to get some answers.Hands down will never book this hotel again.Absolute s%*#% showDay 2, still no hot water. To claim this is a 5 star hotel is a massive stretch.
We asked for a car service from the airport and they said they would call us back but never did after 6 hours. After we settled into our room we were woken up by multiple things loud noises of drunk people loud cars lights turning on and the worst part jack hammers and banging waking us up at 7:00am. We have stayed here for 3 days one of the elevators is broken and the employees said that the service elevators have been broken for 3 years so they use the normal elevators which makes it impossible to not wait 15mins to get on an elevator. So all and all this hotel is horrible dont stay
I needed to cancel my Feb 16 2023 reservation, due to a change in job. I was offered a different position higher up on the pay scale. My reservation is non refundable. I started inquiring about 3 weeks ago when I knew of my job change.Nobu is refusing to refund, not very customer friendly. I had no problem getting money back from the cruise line that we were taking on Feb 17.Than they said I could rebook, through Expedia for a different date, to avoid a no show, only having to cancel that date to rebook the right date when we pick a cruise to go on. This seems a bit crazy. Why cant you put notes in, I cancelled and have a credit to use?But I would really like a refund, but they dont seem like they want to budge.Beware if you book, they dont work well with their customers
I don’t write negative reviews but this time I have to write. This is my experience•NO hot water for 2 days•NO house keeping until I request•Glass cup had someone else‘s lipstick mark•Broken tub•Broken phone•Broken mini bar with brown water from fridge•Front desk aren’t notifying guests of issues or requestsMe and my husband chose this hotel bc we thought we can relax and chill. But We are so disappointed and regret doing so. Hotel ruined our vacation. Can you imagine? You are in the beach but you can’t take showers for 2 days. We tried to go to pool but at the time, hotel owner was staying the hotel and having the private event and hotel guests are not allowed to use pool. I was speechless. ALL Hotel guests are flustered about no hot water. But the owner is having party?I never ever had this kind of experience with hotels. When we were in the elevator with other hotel guests, everyone had issues with hotel and we are sharing stories. It doesn’t matter 5 stars or not, this is unacceptable service.Plus, front desk offered us refunds for 2 nights BUT they charged full amount of money. If you can’t refund don’t say it.
A VERY disappointing visit. Phone didnt work, no water provided and not one of the four pools advertised were warm enough to swim in. Despite many attempts to get the management to heat a pool they refused. The junior staff tried to be helpful but senior staff did not try to rectify any situation. This is NOT a 5 star hotel.
For the price more is expected. Beautiful lobby area leads for the expectation for a great room that would correspond with the price. The room is sub par and out-dated. One room when there are 2 first doesnt make sense either. The bed was ok but would have liked to have a flat sheet included with the comforter, so you have the option for comfort if you get cold or hot. The toilet was loose so had to giggle the handle to make sure it would flush after the next use. Again for the price Nobu needs to upgrade their rooms.
Definitely far from a 5-star hotel! No hot water for last two days of our stay. Two main pools were also closed for 2 full days of our visit, so only option with kids was to go to the beach. Beach attendants were extremely rude, and wanted to charge extra for chairs, umbrellas, etc. What’s the point of charging a resort fee & then getting nickel and dimed for everything?!! Also beach servers were decent, but food was excruciatingly slow. Food (simple heat & eat beef patties) took almost 2 hours after ordering. Decided to skip it last day, and tried to go to Ocean Social restaurant which was closed for an “event.” Bottom line-splurge for an actual 5-star hotel & skip the endless extra charges and mediocre service you will receive at Nobu Hotel.
Worst hotel experience that I’ve ever experienced. I travel quite often and I’ve never gone out of my way to write a bad review for a hotel until I stayed at this hotel. It was an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE from moment we stepped foot at the hotel. We got harassed by multiple staff members. The service was terrible. food was not edible it was so bad. They even messed up COFFEE. The staff was rude, the restaurant took 2 hours to bring food out, bell man harassed us, security harassed us, and the list goes on. The manager did nothing about it in the end and hid in his office until we left. traumatizing experience. furthest thing from a 5 star hotel. i wish i read all of the terrible reviews before i stepped foot in this horrible hotel. save your money and go elsewhere.
Great stay at Nobu Hotel Miami. Staff was great! Rooms and location were nice, too. Only thing is the food is a bit disappointing, especially for the price. Not bad, but disappointing for sure. I ordered a ceviche that looked like week-old fish. So gross. Do yourself a favor an explore other restaurants as much as you can.
The room was beautiful. Staff was kind and helpful but there just wasnt enough staff to give you a resort feel, I dont know how else to put it. However, Im sure all hotels have this problem right now.I sliced my foot on broken glass at the pool bar--a bit taken aback by how the staff downplayed it (kept saying how strange it was because they didnt serve drinks in glass cups -- as if to imply it was my fault, like I brought the glass). I dont know. Everyones trying to do their best. You never know whos going to be litigious and you gotta be careful what you say I guess. The beach was lovely and the food at the beach was great. Expensive drinks but the its the same as everywhere else. I was fairly disappointed with the restaurant for the price, maybe Im pickier as a New Yorker.Ultimately we thought its better to just push on to Mexico for a better priced beach vacation.I was also taken aback how often people knocked on our door (or just barging in) asking to clean our room (like 5 times in 2 hours; after they cleaned it already). Really annoying (there was no Do Not Disturb sign available). So ultimately it was a 3 stars. Maybe for Miami it was just fine, I wouldnt know, was my first time. Well push on to Mexico next time.
I surprised my boyfriend with a trip to Miami and we stayed at the Nobu Hotel and it was absolutely fantastic! The service was impeccable before we arrived as I arranged details over email with their staff. The on-site restaurants were so good with Nobu being our favorite. The staff accommodated all of our requests gladly and expediently. We cannot wait to visit Miami again and stay there!
To start off with, Nobu shares the lobby with Eden Roc, so it is a little confusing arriving and going to the front desk. My Fiance and I stayed at the Nobu in March for my birthday weekend, with all the Miami festivities we barely were able to enjoy the hotel due to being out. FIRST RED FLAG, on multiple occasions when my fiance and I were coming back from somewhere to our room, the very rude neighbor in the room next to us kept leaving their empty plates of food by our door. We did complain about this. SECOND RED FLAG, while checking out, I noticed a strange fee on the bill called a beach outlet fee, I went to Kevin who was at front desk most of the time of our stay. Once he started naming food dishes, I knew something was wrong because my fiance and I were out so much we didnt order any food what so ever from the hotel, we didnt even eat at nobus restaurant. I expressed my concerned to Kevin and he assured me that he would reach out and send an email to their food and beverage department asking about the charges to my room. 1 month went by, did not hear from Nobu, not Kevin or his manager. This is when I had to take it up with my credit card company and Nobu still came back and said another month later, that the charges belong to me which they do not. I was wrongfully charged by Nobu and its really upsetting how they handled it with the reputation they have. I will gladly like to sit with the nobu team and go through their camera footage or maybe they have call data to route the exts who called for room service. But they did not do the proper investigation on this issue.I will never ever recommend Nobu to any friends, family or even acquaints. This was a horrible experience. On another note, you can hear in the rooms around you while in your room which was very annoying like hearing full blown conversation with the people staying next to us and blow dryers, etc.
Fees. Fees on EVERYTHING. At the pool our server said 22% service fee, 10% goes to us, 12% to the house. I had a same day delivery made by courier from Best Buy. The hotel charged an $15 HANDLING FEE to receive it. Unbelievable! Most things about this hotel are entirely subpar. Rooms are all worn out and stained. Jets dont work in the hot tub. Awful awful cafe and coffee on property. Its barely 3 star. Why would NOBU ruin their brand like this??
(Full review below this)..In short, I so enjoyed my first stay that I booked again the following weekend. Stellar service was provided by all, but standing out from the already exceptional team were:Gaby at receptionKimberly serving poolside at the elevated pool deckHarmony and Denorr poolsideAlex, concierge extraordinaire...I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a remarkable hotel owned by a global luxury brand. Nestled in the heart of opulence, this establishment surpassed even my lofty expectations, leaving an indelible impression upon me.From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a symphony of refined elegance and flawless hospitality. Each staff member, no matter their position, seemed to embody the very essence of the organizations values. They displayed a level of professionalism and dedication that is rarely encountered, and less so sustained, in this industry. The concierge, a true maestro of guest satisfaction, orchestrated every aspect of my stay with seamless precision. Their knowledge of Miami and their ability to make it so elevated my experience to new heights, a table when there was none available, direction when a traveler was truly lost, and a smile when before it was just my tired and sunburnt face. The waitstaff, akin to graceful performers, delivered exquisite Nobu creations with an unwavering attention to detail, ensuring that every morsel danced harmoniously on my palate. But what truly sets this establishment apart is the genuine warmth exuded by every member of the team. From the housekeeping staff to the management, there was an unwavering commitment to providing a personal touch that transformed my stay from a mere sojourn into a profoundly cherished memory. In the rarefied world of luxury hospitality, where mediocrity can sometimes infiltrate even the most renowned establishments, this hotel and its dedicated staff stand as an emblem of excellence. They epitomize the true spirit of the global luxury brand that graces their façade, ensuring that every guests experience is nothing short of extraordinary. To those seeking a memorable journey into the realm of unparalleled luxury and impeccable service, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. It is a testament to the fact that when values are not merely upheld, but embodied by each staff member, a truly transcendent experience awaits. I hope to see you all again and again.
Love the attention to detail at this hotel. I was staying at the neighboring Fontainebleau for 2 nights and needed to extend to a third night. They did not have rooms, so i booked Nobu for one night. When i came to nobu, the check-in process was so much faster and nicer than Fontainebleau. I hot a cold towel with sake at check-in. The room was very comfortable. Unlike other hotels that have very dry air, here i did not feel dry in the hotel room. I believe they maintain some humidity control. It was so comfortable. The Japanese furnishings were beautiful to the eye. Also, the spa was included as part of my stay. This was not the case at Fontainebleau. Definitely recommended Nobu as the best hotel in Miami Beach!!!
On check in the receptionist was a joy, so friendly and gave us a welcome drink. We have stayed at Nobu in London previously, and exiting the lift you could see that Nobu Miami did not have the slick Nobu sheen. The room quite frankly was hugely disappointing. Definitely not up to the mark in terms of the other Nobu properties in London. It was like a basic hotel chain room, albeit with a fancier bathroom and shockingly overpriced. Also being in the Eden Roc complex, the overall impression was tacky and a little shabby. However the biggest shock and disappointment, which the receptionist had failed to mention to us, ***was that the hotel had no hot water***.Imagine traveling all day from South America and being unable to shower for almost $1000 a night. Next day, same story, no hot water to shower and we had a 15hour flight ahead of us. Also the pool, and the spa were affected. We had prepaid for our room and no partial refund or discount was offered for the duration of the stay. Not the level of service or luxury I would expect from a Nobu property. Hugely disappointing and VASTLY overpriced. One saving grace was seeing Sir Nobu Mathishuya, the Masterchef was staying at the hotel for an exclusive dinner at Nobu restaurant.I do wonder if he had hot water in his room?I must state again, no discount was offered to us as we had prepaid, despite other guests receiving discounts/offers for the inconvenience. Nobu Miami keep sending me a guest expereince review link - suprise, suprise the link doesnt work. They obviously dont want to hear any negative feedback.
To start you will uber everywhere you arent close to anything worth going to other than the beach. Staff is hit or miss. If youre by the adult pool good luck getting drinks. Same if your eating at the ocean social. They dont room check half the time for the private Nobu adult pool. The rooms themselves arent bad at all. It honestly was a let down after hearing good things about the place. Sadly I dont think Id stay here again. Its not worth the mandatory service charge and have not consistent service.
Worst hotel experience…i stayed at Nobu for my friends 30th birthday party that I was surprising her with. I was completely embarrassed after telling her how great Nobu is. I’ve stayed at this consistently the past 4 months and I’ll never be back. We arrived and the first room they sent us to the key didn’t work. We came back down and told the guest services lady Katie and she said “oh the battery must be dead” then she gave us another room OH MY GOSH the bed looked like someone just finished sleeping on it, food all over the dresser, towels in the shower, bloody towels on sink, pee in toilet it was NASTY. went downstairs the manager was very rude she’s always rude I’ve saw her there before. They didn’t accommodate us AT ALL. They offered $100 towards food when we already paid TRIPLE that to stay at the hotel. I wouldn’t stay here it’s overpriced for the service they offer. They even charged me for early check in and it took almost two hours for me to even get a room. WORST HOTEL EVER I WILL NEVER COME BACK. Management is terrible I see why the guest service associates act the way they do. The food is awful and the waitresses will chase you down even if you tell them to charge it your room. This place isn’t luxury AT ALL.
Nice and modern. The signature “Nobu” restaurant being available for room service and to order items at the bar elevates the dining experience. Fitness center has a decent amount of equipment as well. Great hotel but a little overpriced given the full value scene. Values my only 7/10 but 9/10 or higher on everything else
Rooms were subpar. Lacked attention to detail. Bathroom sink kept overflowing, the knob on the bed lamps are missing. Pools were just ok. The “private” Nobu pool was basically a bird bath for the seagulls. Beach was cramped. Overall, very overpriced for the experience. Better to spend your money at another 5-star like 1 or W. Nobu is a great restaurant but this hotel experience is a taint on their brand. If brand recognition is important to them, they should consider revamping this experience or dropping their name from it.
For a hotel who touts they are in the top 5 of Miami hotels, I couldn’t give it over 3 starts. On the plus side, The beds are very comfortable, the lobby smells great, drinks and food were delicious. Unfortunately, our room wasn’t ready until 2 hours after check in time, the elevator broke while we were in it, we couldn’t get extra pillows, the mini fridge was falling apart and not cold. These are things I’d expect at a motel. Not a high end hotel. Luckily Jeremy at the reception desk was very helpful and made most of these issues better.
I wish I could give it 6 stars. Our 4-night stay at Nobu was exceptional. We were upgraded to an ocean view zen suite that made our trip that much more enjoyable. Prior to booking our room, we had considered staying at a different hotel based on the negative reviews we read online. Having now stayed at Nobu, I do not understand what all the fuss was about. Everything from the room to the facilities to the food and service at the beach, pool, and spa was excellent. It truly is a quiet getaway away from the hustle and bustle of south beach, and the vibe is more friendly and down-to-earth than that of the other top hotels in the area (we ate dinner at many of them). We felt like we were staying at a private resort somewhere in the caribbean. Highly recommend ocean social for breakfast and lunch, as well as checking out the spa during the heat of the day in between trips to the beach. Nobu for dinner was also great!
Based on service we received this is NOT 5 star hotel. I cant even call it 4 star! I wish I read the review before booking this hotel I had plenty other options. So the very first bad sign was when valet boy ran to luxurious car totally ignoring us even though we were first in line. I felt offended (please contact me I will provide date and time, so you can check the records). Later same night we went to Nobu restaurant, which is OVERPRICED for no reason. The food was mediocre, and the waitress wasnt pleasant at all due to him being aggressive to sell us expensive meal and drinks. I could feel the pressure, all I wanted is finish the dinner and leave. Also, I paid $40 for resort fee, but apparently to get umbrella at the beach there is additional $30 per day…. ughhh Also, last day our room keys didn’t work to get to the room and amenities and I had to go to lobby 3 times. I can go on and on and on. I’m giving extra point for clean room, to Antonio (beach waitress) and to FD for letting us check out later. Thank you
I don’t know what all the bad reviews are about! We had a very nice stay. The lobby bar is beautiful all the staff was friendly. We had a beautiful room with a great view. The only thing we didn’t like was the breakfast. Great view but the food wasn’t very good. Lots of pools and a great walking path along the beach.
I love Miami, but staying at Nobu made it soooooo much better. The staff are all absolutely amazing, caring, loving, and try so hard to make your experience better. They’re always smiling, asking if we needed assistance, and responsive when asked for something. We had workers knock into our door event night to see if we needed anything, they were always ready with more towels for the beach and pool, and they often came around the pool with free refreshers such as fruits and drinks. One of my favorite parts was the spa, YOU MUST VISIT. My skin was literally glowing throughout my entire stay. I was proposed to in Miami and Nobu helped my fiancé with the decorations at the beach. I loved every single part of it, and my fiancés process was made so much easier. Dalila was the most incredible manager and sweetest person ever. The staff even recorded our engagement from the penthouse. There is so many more great things I could say, but I will end it here. I am very grateful for the experience I had at Nobu and can’t wait to be back there again. They literally treated us like celebrities.
Pros:Beautiful room and comfy beds. Front desk concierge was very nice and sweet. You get a wristband that gets you chairs on the beach and access to an adult only pool.Restaurant food was soooo good!Cafe was litEasy access to the beach.Cons:Greedy Greedy business. Did not come with a view like I paid for. Room I ordered said double deluxe which is not 2 beds just so you know. Which makes no sense. They cleaned our room once the 4 days we were there. Housekeeping was extremely rude and made me feel like an inconvenience when I asked for something. The price gouging is insane.$55 for 2 drinks at the pool. That might just be Miami prices but that’s insanely expensive.A $1 sample bottle of liquor from the bar is $40. There’s no room to put anything in the fridge. They wanted to charge us $35 to heat up food because they didn’t want to put microwaves in the rooms. $50 charge to bring your own wine to dinner and if it’s a wine they carry no deal.
The staff is so accommodating and helpful. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite. The staff is wonderful. I would like to thank Victoria and Gigi for going above and beyond. Nobu has separate pool access. Ocean social offers great food and beverages. The location of the hotel is excellent. Great access to the beach. Definitely worth considering if you are in Miami!
We stayed at the Nobu hotel for one night stop over before boarding for our cruise.First the checkin was very smooth, we were actually upgraded to the penthouse room 1500, a stunning room. We arrived at 10 pm but the lobby made sure we could order up to our room from Nobu restaurant until 11 pm (normally stops at 10pm). He also arranged for a late check out at 4pm the next day without any issueThe room is just stunning, top floor, amazing balcony giving you great views of the sea, the canal and the city. There is a pool table, great sound systems and a great Japanese style bathroom. The food was superb of course as all of the Nobu restaurants. Only downside is breakfast which takes an hour to deliver in the morning but you are made aware and there is a great barista at the lobby, so we took our cappuccino there while waiting for the breakfast to come to the room.Overall a very nice experience, nice luxury vibe while keeping the Miami spirit.
Best Vacation ever! Loved everything about this Hotel from the atmosphere, service, drinks, food, beach, pools and spa! Everything was Fantastic! We really enjoyed our stay! Special shout out to Alberto at Ocean Social who really went out of his way to make my birthday special! Everyone was fantastic! Special shout outs to Alberto, Julio, Mayelin, Ceasar, Jane and Jose at Ocean Social!Thank you to Salvador, Fabienne and Mattia for being so wonderful to us!Thank you to the Essencia Spa team, Gail Roth, Amelia, Ketisha, Chantel and Berto!Thank you to Gwendyline who I met in the elevator and sang happy birthday to me! So sweet!!! We can’t thank you all enough snd hopefully one day soon I can return to Nobu/Eden Rock Hotel! Fabulous time!!
The rooms are ok, comfy beds but tired in places. The hotel doesnt fee like a 5 star experience. On arrival with our car the hotel isnt impressive at all. No automatic doors which is unusual. $75 (not including tip) dollars for a bottle of prosecco is excessive i think. After that we made a point of not eating or drinking within the hotel. The pool area of the hotel is very very tired. Such a disappointment give the cost of the hotel. There was plaster missing from the stairs, The plaster on the bottom of the pool is all breaking up, dirty glasses in the flowerbed which where there for 3 days until someone moved them, dirty rotting wooden bins around the pool, just very substandard. looks great in the photos yes but they are probably 15 years old. The whole pool area needs gutted. I took pictures but cant upload them to here. We went to the Fontaine Bleu hotel next door for a look. We both wished we had stayed there instead, much nicer.
Very clean and upscale hotel. I loved the showers, the hospitality, the vibe, the location, just….everything was on point!! I loved the private balconies. I’m only giving this place 4 stars because the restaurant inside could’ve gave me a heads up on the prices of the food vs waiting until I checked out. Otherwise, it’s a lovely place stay. Just steer clear of the restaurant inside if you can. It’s just not worth the price and I dine frequently at many upscale restaurants to know. This hotel will be my go to when I come back to Miami for sure!
Excellent hotel in a great location in North Miami Beach. Multiple pools and easy access to the beach. The food was great also.
The room was beautiful and the location was great. The staff was friendly, especially Carlos at the concierge, he gets 5 stars! 🤩 Being on the beachfront is a must, so we did coffee and the beach every morning. Having the Nobu restaurant in our hotel was especially a bonus. We ate there a few times during our stay. The food is excellent and the service is superb! Chef Sung is the best and Leonardo from the wait staff was a standout! Thank you all!
Amazing service, room was impeccably clean, staff was patient and accommodating. The amenities at the hotel are extensive and worthwhile. In addition, this hotel caters to all different lifestyles and needs. The food options are great, the bartenders were innovative and knowledgeable, and the ambiance of the entire establishment was welcoming and luxurious.
Beware! Do not stay here - we greatly regret it! There are so many other amazing options.. this hotel WILL disappoint. Please read other reviews before booking.. they mention the same key points! Here we go:1. Hotel is extremely outdated and old. Needs an update ASAP. The entrance to the hotel is shockingly hideous.. we were confused upon arrival that we were at the wrong hotel! The pool and entire outside area is needs a makeover and renovation.2. Where are the employees? No one is opening the doors, no one is answering the phones, and if you are staying under 4 nights you will not receive room service unless requested (I believe).3. They charge a $200 daily fee for incidentals - that was $800 total for each room that we booked.4. The TV is awful. The quality is tragic and outdated (once again). Apps are not available on the TV.5. The AC is struggling to cool down! You can try your best and the room will not cool enough.6. The lobby smells like SEWER WATER. No kidding!!They are charging a horrendous price for 1 star class and service. The hotel is a complete buzz-kill, try Fountainebleau next-door or The Edition for a better experience and value.
Fell short of expectations. For the price and the 5 star resort, it could have been better. Pool service was shoddy, repeated requests for room services like pillows and towels (I had to wait the next day), and up to 10 minutes on hold to get to guest services. One of the hotel workers raiding my room to take inventory of the minibar, the only thing they seemed to be on top of (of course for their benefit). Otherwise, the room was cleanly, well designed.
I think even one star is too much for this hotel.Overall - horrible experience. To mention, I was staying there for 10 days. For the price, you would expect much better customer service - which is, unfortunately, nonexistent in this hotel. On a several occasions when I was entering the hotel from the back(beach) entrance, I was interrogated by the security why I was not wearing the bracelet I was provided. I wasn’t even hanging out by the pool, I was just PASSING BY TO GET TO MY ROOM! It would be okay in another scenario if I didn’t have any proof that I’m a guest there - but I had a room key which I showed and also used to open the gate!!!Honestly, very uncomfortable experience, especially when we’re talking about 5-star hotel.🤯 Everything is overpriced, quality is not up to expectations, staff is extremely non friendly - including the managers. Or should I say ESPECIALLY THE MANAGERS!After the third day of my stay, I was just so disappointed on what I’ve just wasted my money that I didn’t want to hang out by the pool, or go to one of the restaurants, etc. I literally just used the room for a sleepover and I would go elsewhere, far far away from the hotel.ALSO, not to mention bunch of HIDDEN FEES! On the reservation I made online, in the summary was clearly stated that I just paid for the stay, and the resort fees. No deposit was mentioned. When you’re checking in, all of a sudden, they’re asking for 200$ per night JUST A DEPOSIT, that will apparently be brought back to you if you leave the room the way it was given to you. When you’re already there, and you paid a non-refundable reservation online, you just have no choice other than to pay for “the deposit”.Resort fee of 65$ per day, which is non arguable - includes only the chair, if you want the umbrella, you pay additionally for that - per umbrella .😡 And around 4 o’clock the staff makes sure you understood they’re taking the chairs at 5pm sharp. There’s no ice machine in the hotel so I asked for ice in my room couple times and had to argue that as well.Just do not waste your money, because you’ll be getting one ugly experience. I just know I will never be back there and I regret for my stay. The worst stay ever!!!!!
I am highly disappointed with staying here this time, it was my birthday trip, all my friends came to this hotel for this trip because i have had excellent experiences in the past. Upon arrival it was impossible to get food anywhere for 2 hours. Rooms were not available for early check in which I understand but then my room wasn’t ready until nearly 5 PM. From the beginning most of the staff was so rude. Stressful vacation because of this hotel. We wanted to give it another chance the next day since we had gotten here on Valentine’s Day but the next day was just as bad. I had asked for an upgrade and the lady told me oh no you have the best view of the ocean well all I can see is the roof top of the building. The first night we had to go get a new card to open the room three times. The pool was out of towels. My room was out of towels I called and they came up 40 minutes later. This by far has been the worst experience I’ve ever had in Miami. I never complain or anything about places but this has been the worst experience ever. I will never stay here again
I had a delightful stay at Nobu Miami. The service was great! Although there was a mishap with the valet parking fee. They charged me for it at the end of my stay but when I booked the night it said it was included, after talking to them they were able to remove it from my account and didnt charge me for it. I also got an upgrade to a beautiful room. The service at Nobu restaurant was phenomenal.
Stayed for 6 nights with my wife. In general a satisfying experience. Sometimes however, it’s the tiny and insignificant details that one remembers, for bad or for good. Our room has a very small fridge, packed with bottles. Since we wanted to cool a few of our outside drinks, we removed the hotel bottles until checkout. No consumption. When checking out, I noticed we were being charged for those unconsumed bottles. Turns out it was an “intelligent” mini fridge. Plus they wanted to charge us for the usage of the fridge.Absurd and abusive. The staff person at checkout was very kind and understanding. He promptly reversed those charges. But, now that is what I remember.
The Nobu Hotel was just not up to the five star standard. Two experiences stand out in particular. First, we were promised three pool, plus a Nobu-only pool. This was told to us at check-in. That same day, we went to check out the Nobu pool. It was closed for renovations. We went to the general Eden Roc pool area. The jot tub was broken. The pool itself was loud and kids splashed us. This has never happened to me at Nobu the restaurant so I was disappointed it happened at the Nobu Hotel.Second, we asked Hana the concierge for help getting a dinner reservation. We told her a place that was recommended to us. She googled it and said it was booked. We asked for a recommendation. She suggested a place that was, in her own words, even more exclusive, and that was booked to. Her suggestion? Skip dinner and just get brunch the next day. We walked away and found our own reservation. There were a lot of highlights, though. The sauna area of the spa was very relaxing. The front desk and cafe were excellent. The lobby bar might have been my favorite spot in town. And the pool food and drinks were excellent, with very friendly service.
The scenery of the hotel with the access to the beach was simply beautiful. Working in hospitality, I’ve never seen a hotel front desk that closes at 6pm. If you don’t have what you need by 6pm, you’re messed up. They had 3 stunning pools but they closed at sundown, we paid 5 star hotel prices for a 3 star hotel experience. We asked for face towels and body towels during our stay numerous times and never received the face towels. The only good thing about the hotel was the hotel staff especially valet. Looks can be very deceiving when it comes to this hotel.
The customer service here is absolutely unacceptable! I have been trying to reach out about my reservation since 9/23 with no response! Due to Hurricane Ian, it was not safe to fly into Florida so I needed to push my stay back a few days, until it was safe to travel again. I’ve emailed customer care, I’ve called the hotel numerous times and left messages and still no one has gotten back to me. My booking is already paid for in full and I will be losing the entire amount if no one responds.
Amazing service, beautiful bar clean and spacious. Amazing staff
The only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars is because the spa was very nice. For starters, staff is rude and pretentious; I was treated as if I wasn’t a paying guest. Before checking in, I called in and spoke to an employee named Gigi who was super kind. I explained I would need an early check in and she said that would be fine. She then asked if I was celebrating anything and I told her I was celebrating my anniversary. She congratulated me and told me I would have a bottle (of champagne) waiting in my room. When I got there, a Ramon Rojas was working. How someone so rude received a managing position in hospitality is beyond me. I explained to him (or tried because he refused to hear me out) that I spoke with Gigi and she said she would leave notes but he denied knowing of an employee by that name/ seeing any notes on our account. His extreme lack of due diligence was mind blowing. The next day we spoke to staff about his behavior and asked about “Gigi” and if she provided any info, which they confirmed they do have an employee by that name and she did in fact leave notes on our account. Needless to say, our stay was extremely underwhelming. We never even got our bottle of champagne (when I called, they denied offering this) LOL.
Anytime a 5 star hotel has less 4 star rating it should be red flag. This hotel doesn’t do nobu justice, very average nothing special about the hotel. It’s confusing you walk in your don’t know if it’s nobu or Eden rock, the halls leadings to the rooms smelled like damp towels. And for the outside, the pools were super small and overcrowded. No music, people had to bring their speakers to liven up the vibe. Management was extremely rude, poor leadership. If you’re looking for a pleasant stay with lively people this is not your place.
I visit Miami often to visit friends and usually stay closer to South Beach. After reading some previous reviews I was worried and almost changed my hotel but Im so glad I didnt. Room was clean and comfortable. The view was fantastic. Loved sitting on the balcony in the morning and before bed. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. The room service food was great and Jose was the best. The beach was great with plenty of chairs available. Location is good for accessing fun but staying away in the quiet to actually hear the ocean. I would definitely stay here again.
Went to Nobu Hotel for 4 days during the pandemic and honestly had a great experience. The hotel feels very resort-like and staff were friendly and willing to help at all times. The room was very modern and clean, we also got upgraded given the lack of guests (my guess) but it was nice that they gave us the upgrade without even requesting it. I would definitely go back there for our next Miami Beach trip.
The hotel & rooms are nice, the service spotty at best. Front reception were courteous but way understaffed only 3 desk clerks and checkin area for Nobu side of the property is badly situated right by the front entrance with limited seating which makes lining up there not a comfortable experience and traffic gets blocked. No robes or slippers in the room. Tried calling front desk at 5pm and no one answered the phone after multiple tries I gave up trying. Poolside service was horrendous waitress gave us a menu but didnt return to ask what we would like to order for over an hour even though she was attending to others at the pool multiple times. For a 5 star resort property in this price range the experience falls way short. Not worth the price.
This is not what I would expect from a Nobu hotel. Rooms are basic - definitely not as shown online. The cleaning staff only comes every 3 days, but if you tip them well they will clean your room everyday. The hotel valet service is horrible. It takes a hour+ to get your car unless you tip big, so make sure to have cash if you plan to park a vehicle and/or have a clean room with fresh towels each day. If you value customer service and are truly looking for a five star experience choose another hotel.
The front desk lady fabrina(I hope I got her name right but very likely I did not, sorry!) is the best ever! Hotel lobby is pretty crowded on a Sunday afternoon but she made the check in process so easy. She is very sweet, introduced us with all the amenities and even showed us around. On top of that our ocean view suite is so stunning! A few details could be improved but with the view we had I felt pretty worth it !
Try and call their customer service and speak to Roberto and you’ll see the 1,000 things they can do better for customer service. The hotel was a great idea, but the realization (or partial realization since it’s not even finished - about 8 years later) is subpar. The Nobu brand clearly works better for restaurants.
We checked in yesterday to celebrate our anniversary. We wanted this trip to be special so we paid the $450 per night for the ocean view. We wanted a top at least 4 star hotel, so didn’t get that at all. For the price they charge, the hotel is outdated. There are several issues in the room. No tub. This place isn’t stroller/wheelchair friendly. Since we had a toddler, handling everything was a bit hard, and sadly my husband lost the valet ticket. So every single time we wanted to get our car, we had to come downstairs and waited for the car. Nope, they can’t give you a new ticket to text them anymore. Tried calling customer service, and we were on hold for over 15 min. We texted customer service and they said they can’t help. Bar far, the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had with any hotel ever!If you’re worried about Covid, the handles on the toilet hand finger prints, the shower had hair on its walls, and the floor and bathroom sink were dirty. I had to clean everything again.Mind you, you are charged a resort fee ($40) and valet parking ($50) per night.Just don’t do it.
The perfect blend of art, gorgeous interior and exterior amenities. The main lobby area is super spectacular, love the layout and chill areas. Perfect place to have breakfast or coffee from the coffee shop deli right there. The pool is absolutely phenomenal, few levels of luxurious pool areas to chill and tan. The restaurant with a view and the poolside bar are amazing. Overlooking the ocean with just enough breeze to keep you cool. Walk a little to the East and you have the beach and ocean 🌊. At night you can dine at the fabulous Nobu restaurant with amazing dishes, wine and desserts. Perfect spot for a getawayAmazing staff to make sure everything is perfectThank you for the amazing hospitalityChristopher
Wow. This place was amazing. We had a Jr. Suite and we would definitely return in the future. Customer service was top notch. The bay view with the ocean view was gorgeous from the 8th floor. 4 pools, 2 Hot tubs, direct beach access and Nobu and Malibu Fresh onsite for restaurants. The beds were super comfy. Shower with a stool and rain drop shower head. HBO on the TV was nice. Valet was super quick about getting car around. Good job to the hospitality staff!
Stayed here a week ago for a little weekend get away. It was my cousins birthday. The hotel is really beautiful. The outside looks a little dated, but once you enter your surrounded by a grand entrance. The check in process was ok. I arrived earlier than my party, but the gentleman at the counter allowed me to check in my room early. I explained that others would be arriving after me. The room was decent. Not really a lot to brag on. I would suggest more mirrors. You know getting ready to head out in Miami, you want to make sure your looking your best. The only mirrors they had were in the restroom. The bed was comfy. Due to Covid I didn’t let them clean my room but I observed them on the floor everyday cleaning rooms. I cannot say the level of cleanliness because they didn’t personally clean my room. The valet guys were great. There was no standing around for long periods of time at all! They were on it. I did eat one time at the little restaurant behind the pool. The service and drinks were on point but the food was horrible! I explained to the bartender and he didn’t hesitate to take it off my bill. So all in all a good experience.
Our stay was perfect. The room was clean and modern. The view is breathtaking. It was my wifes birthday and the hotel sent us a free chocolate cake to our room! Thank you! I would definitely recommend.
I spend a day and I had a great experiencing with the services, the spa is marvelous, the cleaning services is great the Valet Boy Jonathan Amaya is the most care and beautiful person ai had the placer to know, He take care my car with profesional actitud service. I am looking forward to spend more time with this fantastic Nobu Hotel.
Avoid this hotels at all cost!. Management will burglarize your deposit credit cards. Ghosting charging and double charging left and right. Poor room cleaning, maintenance and service. Administrative scaming behavior!!!. WARNING ⚠️. RED FLAG AREA!!. DO NOT ATTEMPT PASSING NEAR BY, DANGER!
The front desk was fabulous. The corner balcony room was worn and disappointingly maintained. Couch cushions had edges worn through to the base material, the door to the balcony had a long wide strip of adhesive residue, there were sticky stains on the balcony deck, the tile on the two steps from the bedroom level to the living room level had many chips on the edges. I expected a hotel of the perceived caliber of Nobu to have bath robes and perhaps slippers. Also, the double wooden lounge chair in the balcony had no cushions and there was a large area of wasted vacant area on the balcony which would have been very nice to have even an inexpensive bistro table and two chairs. I was extremely surprised there was no partition between balconies for privacy. The view of the pools and decks below and the ocean with anchored cruise ships and other vessels steaming by was great. The food in the lobby bar and unique presentation of one dish was superb.
For rooms ranging from $250-$1300 a night, they are out of their mind ! I’ve had many luxury stays before, during, and after the pandemic... THIS WAS NOT ONE! The location was nice, I got a good massage at Eden’s. But this was not the Nobu experience we deserve. The bars, pools, and restaurants were overcrowded with people who were not guest at the hotel and customer service was very poor for the most part. I can name a couple of staff who were pleasant enough. Any room request or order took anywhere from 1-2 hours. It was exhausting to stay there... and I went to relax 🙄
Would have been 5 star however on the day of check out we were told Nobu exclusive pool open until dusk with food and drink but when we tried to order we got told sorry service has finished and Im only a pool boy very disappointing as we wanted to eat by the pool before flying. Got told told we could have gone down to the Ocean Social as an alternative but thats not what we paid such a a high hotel price for. Wont stay again and recommend anybody looking for that 5star experience to skip this hotel and try somewhere else.
We enjoyed our two night stay here for a wedding. It was busy at check in with spring break going on and some amenities had restricted hrs with COVID + curfew, but all in all, we had a great time!View was awesome, room was clean and everything was well maintained, loved the rain shower head, and our brief interactions with the staff were pleasant.
We stayed at the nobu hotel for 5 days in one of the suites had an amazing view went to the ocean social which is connected to the hotel several times for breakfast lunch or dinner everything was delicious the only thing that was off on the food was an order of tacos one night other than that everything was phenomenal. The service was very good everybody was friendly happy to be there no attitudes we did have them restock the espresso machine with only decaf unfortunately and had to make several calls down to have them bring us some things that we needed but other than that the service was impeccable. Santino is very helpful at the bar as well as Lola without their great service my stay would have been lessened.
My husband and I would have rated this hotel lower due to value/expectations/service/cleanliness/elevator issues but then we met Gelcys at the concierge desk. She went above and beyond to help us work around a reservation issue and is the biggest reason to stay at Nobu Miami. She made our trip! We werent able to get the name of the managerial staff but hopefully they see this and know what an incredible asset she is to this property. Thank you Gelcys for all of your invaluable help, professionalism, excellence and kindness during our trip this month! Your assistance was the reason we can say we had an excellent stay worthy of the Nobu brand.
Mattia is the best server they have at this hotel. He is best in class and has an understanding of hospitality that no one else at this hotel can offer. If you stay here, I highly recommend calling ahead and asking for Mattia. You won’t regret your visit to Nobu, you’ll celebrate it and remember it for years to come.
Great location with several world class 5 star restaurants all within a 5 in walk. Decent pools, clean lobby, spacious rooms, right on the beach with full service to set up beach chairs, umbrellas, food and beverages. And breakfast overlooking the beach and boardwalk is impossibly beautiful. Absolutely recommend this property for mid beach option close to everything.
Elevator was not working, walked up the stairs to the 11th floor. We had a handicap person, very time consuming and inconvenient. Other then that the valet personnel were very good.
Horrible. Do not even consider this hotel. Not even close to five star service. I checked in last night. Check in process was three hours. When I finally get to my room the bathroom had been used and there was urine on the bathroom floor!! Ridiculous! I told the manager on duty and he acted like he didn’t care. Essentially told me to cancel my booking and go somewhere else. Don’t waste your money. Bad bad bad.
This experience is not a five-star experience and not even close. The staff is very unpleasant as well has been very hard to reach. Our phone never worked in our room even after having someone come and “fixing it“. We would call down for new towels because how are you supposed to go for a whole trip without new towels and they would ignore the request. We would ask for water and they would bring two bottles when we would ask for six. Every request we had was not acknowledged properly or not acknowledged at all. We asked them to clean our room as we had three people staying in it and it was messy and we needed more toiletries as well as new towels and they said that due to “Covid protocol” they are unable to clean the rooms until you’ve stayed there for three nights. I just stayed at the Nobu in Cabo and they cleaned our room every day and sometimes twice a day if we asked them to. The food by the pool is absolutely awful and way overpriced. We sent back our pizza because it tasted like a lunchable, and the grilled cheese I had tasted like rubber as well as asking for assorted fruits and I got one type of melon. You were unable to pick up the room service food if you do not want to pay the five dollar delivery fee and automatic gratuity even though it was brought to you in to go boxes and in a bag not even on plates or anything. The pictures are a catfish of this place it is so old and the lobby is very tacky it does not resemble the Nobu vibe at all. The pools besides the main pool are very run down and the beach completely closes at 5 PM you can’t even ask them to sit on a chair if you want to sit in the sun. For the price, and the additional fees this place is not worth the money do not waste your time it was such a stress to stay here because everything was so difficult.
It wasn’t a pleasant experience. The drains were clogged, the chip on our door came off. They took 4 hours to bring fresh towels. Not to mention, they charge $39.90 in a resort fee every day for poor service. I don’t mind spending money but when you pay for luxury it should feel like it.
Great customer service. Overall the stay was pleasant. Some things to be wary about are the housekeeping times are very unpredictable. Also the walls seem to be extra thin, and you can hear a lot of noise from rooms next door throughout the day. Also the pool can get very loud. Lots of young kids during our one week stay it literally felt like a kids wading pool. Staff do not do anything about noise etc.
When I booked this hotel I expected a nice stay but this place is soooo much more than that. Truly a 5 star experience from start to finish. From wonderfully manicured grounds to champagne at check-in to world class dining throughout every outlet. This place is worth every penny. We went to a couple other south beach hotels for dinner and all we wanted to do was return home to Nobu. Highly, highly recommend. (PS check out the spa we were blown away and did a mud bath for 2 and it was bliss)
Spicy edamame was so good we ordered it twice! Amazing service and atmosphere. Best sushi you can find. Will definitely be back.
For $688/night we expected some kind of water view but what we got was a view of the adjacent hotels roof. I guess you have to pay a few thousand dollars per night for that. Room was nicely appointed but not very big. A/C didnt work that well. Elevators are old and smelly. Beach-side service includes old, ratty towels riddled with holes. Pool side service was absolutely non-existent. If youre lucky, someone will stop by every few hours but dont bother ordering any food because Ill NEVER arrive, except on the final bill, of course. First day at the pool no one was allowed to order frozen drinks because that bar was too busy with a private event. Second day, we ordered pizza. After waiting 90 minutes, I just decided to walk to the bar and order there. Bartender said it can take a few hours because they get their food from the restaurant next door. Maybe in Miami this is considered a 4-star hotel but anywhere else in the world, hotel guests would laugh at that rating and definitely that PRICE!Wait, there’s more...Finally, if we never took the time to review our bill, we would not have discovered $300+ charges for the minibar. The front desk person (who was very nice) said that’s a very common occurrence because it calculates usage anytime there’s the slightest movement near the minibar. So, the hotel knowingly charges tens of thousands of dollars per week for items that are never consumed by guests who never bother to itemize their final bill. That’s wire fraud and a class 1 felony, for each and every occurrence. I will be seeking full reimbursement for these charges and filing a complaint with Miami-Dade Consumer Protection.
The rooms are really nice. There were three nice sized pools open while we were there. I think they have a fourth rooftop pool that was closed.Loved the location, 1 minute walk to the ocean.Towel service & beach chairs were great for folks staying at the resort. Easy access to the board walk which was one of my favorite parts.Everything there is extremely expensive and everything costs extra. Not a lot of options to eat on the resort. So they’ve pretty much got you.The bartender who worked the Monday day-shift at the bar in the middle of the resort with the beard is really helpful. Also, I’m convinced that there is some kind of underground pool boy economy at this place. Serious poolside politics going on. But that’s a conversation for another day.
I was deeply disappointed. When I arrived they advised they needed to hold $200 dollars a day for the room and advised it says that on the receipt. It didn’t. After that was handled , they advised my room was ready and then gave me the keys to a dirty room. I had to go and get another room. the safe in the room didn’t work, so I had to carry my valuables with me. No cover sheet on the bed, only a blanket. I asked the girl to come back in 10 minutes for turn down and she never came back. I love Miami but honestly I would never stay here again. I didn’t feel it was really accommodating.
Five night stay was a disappointment. 60 minute wait between arrival time and receiving room key. First day - no room service. Went to guest services and was told that we would only we would be receiving room service one day out of the five night stay. Really? I don’t recall that amenity being advertised on the hotel website. I scheduled housekeeping for the following day. Day 2 - no room service. Tried to call guest services and housekeeping but no one picked up. Had to actually use my cell phone and called the out side hotel number to get someone to answer. Scheduled housekeeping for day three. Day 3 arrives and no housekeeping. More than $400 a night and we’re making our own bed and have no water and coffee? Hotel is grossly understaffed and the guest are feeling the budget cuts. Hotel is nice aesthetically. Restaurant Malibu Farms has good food and service. Lobby bar had unfriendly staff. Overall a poorly managed hotel.
In the midst of our frustrations and misplaced anger, we often times find ourselves in the most gut-wrenching situations. Forgetting that we are all human and a bit grace, empathy, or humility can go a long way. I found myself in tears (literally) stranded in DCA on August 4th after many delays and gate changes due to an ill gentleman and subsequently the deadly storms that killed 3 people and critically injuring another. I called Nobu hotel in Miami Beach where I was scheduled to check in that night to inform them my flight was just cancelled and I’m not sure when I will arrive. Like the thousands of other passengers I fumbled through the airport in a blind haze of disbelief and frustration. I was ultimately told that not only would I be charged a no show but I would not be refunded. So I cried for days and wrote to media outlets and public sites to get the word out about the treacherous experience I had. But I’m woman enough to write a wonderful review when others wrongs are made right!!! Carlos, one of the lovely managers called me personally to apologize and refund me every penny!!! And I have humbled myself with his grace and consideration of a patron. Thank you Carlos!!!!🧡🧡🧡🧡
We had 3 rooms. 2 @ Nobu 1 @ Eden Roc Construction on the beach. Dump trucks/bulldozers run all day along beach. Resort fees do not include beach umbrellas. Charge you an extra $35 a day if you want one. Due to the circumstances you would think they would offer guests comp beach umbrellas for the inconvenience. Broken safe (Nobu) Broken refrigerator (Eden Roc). Shares small grounds/building with Eden Roc. Nobu rooms nice. Eden Roc room was not. Clean. You have access to 3 pools if you’re a Nobu guest 2 if you’re with Eden Roc. They are not 5 star hotel. Nothing special about it other than beach access/views (minus the construction). They need to choose which hotel they want to be. Nobu could be great, but falls short. Not worth over $175-200 a night IMO for either. Don’t waste your money (like we did) paying top dollar here. Tries to come off as a 5 star hotel, but fails. A 5 star hotel would not hold an event (that was never mention on their social media or websites) Thurs, Fri, Sat & Sun that needs armed security on their property checking wrist bands and bags to enter pool areas as well as Miami PD officers roaming the lobby at night. Not what you would expect after paying $400 and $350 a night. If we wanted that vibe we would have stayed in South Beach at a cheaper hotel. You want a true 5 star hotel spend a little more & book 1 Hotel, we’ve stayed. Nobu/Eden Roc hotel do not compare. These hotels are a 1 and done for us.
NOT worth your stay, time, money or disappointment. My review is based on a week long stay in May. From the time we arrived to the time we left, the service was despicable. The hotel could not careless you are a guest, the staff is unfriendly, rude and the management is poor at best. The property and pool grounds are filthy, garbage and debris in and around the pool areas. The service was slow, non-existant and poor when received. For the price and area, there are MANY 5-star hotels and resorts that are wonderful in comparison and live up to their 5-star designation. The rooms are nice, views are good, but that is the extent of the hotels offerings. Due to our experience with the hotel, I reached out to their corporate office to convey my concern with the hotels lack of hospitality, service and management. Do yourself the favor and stay anywhere but here!
I want to leave this review so that people know what they are paying for!!!!!not standrat 5 star hotel, for all my experience where I stayed, this hotel is not worth the money, maybe these are the names and the hype that this is nobu, then that in the photo it is all so beautiful, but live it’s all different, you need to put 4 pages, so as not to deceive guests who booked for the first time, there is a problem with the sink in the bathroom, the faucet is leaking, ordered breakfast for my wife in the morning, it was the worst breakfast in my life, in general, before you book this hotel, think well, maybe a 4 star hotel will be better!! and forgot to say when I checked in, why did the front desk give me a room with two beds, but I booked a king size bed, it was weird and the girl at the front desk was rude !!
Upon checking out I received my bill for my 18 hour stay. They “mistakenly” charged me for every item in the mini bar. It’s a scam. Make sure you are looking at an itemized list of your bill. My room was also next to a storage room and all night the staff was walking in and out of it, talking loudly and slamming the door. Did not sleep and when I told the staff about it, they were the least bit concerned and hardly even acknowledged my comment. I am very disappointed with the service here. I do not recommend this hotel.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Service is absolutely horrible. I literally hate Miami already just because of my hotel stay. I was so confused walking into this hotel because it’s shared with Eden Roc. Upon walking in I was not greeted. The doors are not automatic which is odd because how are people with strollers, wheelchairs, etc supposed to come in? The front desk was understaffed. Only had one woman working and she kept having to leave to help the valet team. We have 4 people in total staying in one room. They gave us a king bed and said there is nothing that they can do because they are fully booked. I was promised a Bay view and all I see is a parking lot. Getting ahold of concierge is even harder! I called around 8 to get more bath towels. No reply, I walked downstairs to speak with them in person which is inconvenient. The man said 10-15 minutes. About 45 minutes passed and still no towels! I didn’t find out about how housekeeping only comes every 3 days until I read their calendar events. I understand covid is still around and booming but this should have been said ahead of time. It’s the lack of communication that is so frustrating. Also, you have to wear wristbands your entire stay. Again, another thing that was not stated ahead of time. Majority of the workers here are dismissive and unfriendly. Horribly understaffed!! You walk in thinking it’s a 5 star experience. It is a 0 star experience in my book. The pictures are deceiving. Save your money and go book at Ac Marriott or something. Extremely better and the price is more reasonable. I paid a pretty penny for 5 days and it was not worth a single one. Literally could continue on with the list. I would like to point out that this is only night 1 and it’s already going downhill. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Absolutely turned off by this experience. 10/10 would NOT recommend to a friend. I was supposed to be relaxed and enjoy my stay. If anything I’m annoyed and stressed.EDIT: The towels actually took 2 hours to receive. I do appreciate the manager calling my room to speak to me. We were offered free champagne or for our next stay to be comp. I politely declined because it’s 2pm and we’d all like to stay sober. And again, I would never come back here. People could even pay me and I wouldn’t. My review before the edit was just for the first night. It’s such a turn off to be excited for a trip and to stay at a so called 5 star hotel and get disappointed right off of the bat because of the service at your 0 star hotel.Edit again: When we left they charged us for missing items from the mini fridge… we never once even opened it. Had to call them multiple times to dispute this. Annoying and inconvenient. You’re better off sleeping at the beach to be honest. Never stay here.
We decided to stay at Nobu Miami Beach because our travel agent said it’s a beautiful property and will be perfect for relaxing and dining. I did read all the recent reviews and saw that there were many complaints about the service. We still decided to take a punt and stay there, thinking that even if the service is really bad, we can complain and they’ll try and fix it. We were wrong!I’ll start with the positives:Nobu hotel is undoubtedly a beautiful property, very clean and well-maintained. There are three swimming pools and there’s access to the beach. There are three restaurants on the premises - cafe Inez (like Starbucks but three times the price), Malibu Farms (terrible service and average food), and Nobu (amazing on all levels). Our room was very spacious and clean, we were very pleased with it.Now, onto the letdowns:It’s virtually impossible to get hold of guest services. Rooms don’t get cleaned because of COVID but nobody comes/calls to check if you need trash taken out, more towels, or more coffee pods. We even went downstairs to the guest services, waited in a huge line to ask someone to bring us pods but nobody ever turned up. We called up, waited on the line for an eternity for someone to speak to, finally we did, they reassured us that someone will be up there within an hour but nobody ever came. I heard some rumblings in the corridor and saw that other rooms were being cleaned so I asked for coffee pods from the cleaning staff, paid them $5 and they gave me 4 pods. They also took the trash out and gave me fresh towels. It was impossible getting any of this done through guest services because nobody ever came.Beach - beautiful but the loungers and food/drinks service is badly run, there are just not enough staff members by the looks of it. We waited for 2 hours before approaching someone for food and drinks and he quickly said that this is not his area and he’ll send someone. He never did. We finally found another staff member, he took our order and it took about an hour for the food to get to us and another hour after for drinks.Umbrellas - they cost $35, which is a flat rate, doesn’t matter if you want it for an hour or the whole day. The girl in charge of reserving them had a very surly attitude: when I questioned the price (because we pay a resort fee of $35 daily) she just said “if you don’t like it, don’t take it”. Ok, fine. It was very sunny and hot so we took it and waited another 20 mins for someone to come and help to put it up. We had to waive them down, otherwise nothing would have been done. So moral of the story is, take initiative, don’t wait around for someone to approach you.Pool service was actually pretty good, maybe because it was on a Monday.Malibu Farm: at check in, we were told that we can just turn up and there are reservations but we should be fine to just walk in and grab something or a table. So we tried doing this. It was 11.30, lots of empty tables. The lady at the front was incredulous “what, you just expect to get seated? Do you know that we’re booked 2 weeks in advance? We are very busy and fully booked”. Okay. So we walked away. It was just such an arrogant attitude, no “sorry, let me see what I can do” etc.Nobu - fantastic service and great food as always! So happy we made the reservation a couple of weeks in advance. So overall, I can’t say that it was a great stay, the service was just non-existent and I see now that all the recent reviews are true. Complaining just doesn’t get you anywhere because nobody cares.
The room overall was nice. The problem comes with service and follow through for what you expect from a 4-5 star hotel. We’re still in a global pandemic, and when signs are plastered around the public indoor spaces saying masks are required, you should be enforcing it. After all, it’s Florida. I had to wait a lot longer for elevators so that no one unmasked boarded. I made a reservation for my room and decided afterward to extend my stay (prior to arriving). I called the number waited for a good 10 minutes and then they extended my reservation. Upon checkin I was informed that I would need to check in again tomorrow morning. When I asked if I’m having to change the rooms she said no. So why do I need to check in again? How poor is the technology system if you can’t merge two reservations into one? The cafe Inez presents outrageous pricing for items. My oj was $9 and my muffin was $4. But the total was $17 after ‘fees and taxes’. Super frustrating. Dinner at Nobu for one was $200. Again, I don’t mind paying if service is impeccable. I had to request housekeeping four times before anyone would service the room and still by 5pm it wasn’t ‘refreshed’. Overall a disappointing experience for the price I paid, the service level received. I have a feeling this is par for course for Miami however.
My wife and I had a lovely stay at Nobu hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful and answered any questions that we had. There are a bunch of small touches that make this place great. For example, there is a complimentary drink cart that comes to each room and will make you a beversge of your choice. Also, there are staff members who come to the rooms checking to see if you need anything. Overall, a great stay and we cant wait to go back
This hotel is beautiful, the rooms are pretty. However the service is awful. We had multiple problems with reservations and billing. We were a large group with 10 people and 5 rooms.. I have been calling over and over to get the situation under control.. no one calls back. We have been double charged for our rooms. Also upon check in they only had one of our two nights booked. I did have confirmation numbers for both nights.. just a mess. Then the room key machine was down. Everyone in the hotel that was checking in needed to be escorted to the room to get in.. did I mention they have over 400 rooms.. two of our 5 rooms were not ready still at 6pm. Not good. Even when we used the privacy door tag the maids were still trying to get in.. I can go on and on.. but I have said enough.. I do hope someone calls back to address the double bill we have.
The room was actually nice itself, except the phone to call the front desk didn’t work... like at all. Like it was a fake phone. The location is very good if you’re going to soho house from there. Everything else about our experience staying here was absolutely horrific. This hotel was entirely booked by college students on holiday. They would drunkenly verbally assault us in the hallways this happened multiple times. The elevators didn’t work, literally 2-3 out of 4 elevators was broken throughout our stay. The line to get up to your room in the elevator was at least 40 people long. There was a blood stain on our sheets, and on the topic of sheets there was no sheet on our bed when we arrived... like just a comforter and a fitted sheet... strange. at certain hours of the day the water wouldn’t get hot in the shower, so if you love a mildly cold shower in the evening you will love this spot. There also were no cups at all in the room none not with the coffee machine or by the sink to even use when brushing your teeth also a weird minor inconvenience you don’t expect when you’re paying over $300 a night at a hotel. The line for checking in and if you ever ever EVER needed anything from the front desk was wildly long and only 2 people ever were working even when there was at least 30 people waiting in line. There was a full on party in the room next to us, we had to PHYSICALLY WALK DOWN STAIRS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT to get the staff to come break up the party so we could sleep because the phone in the room didn’t work so couldn’t call the front desk from the room! Basically if you love partying with 21 year olds who are blacked out drunk by 4pm and trying to pick a fight with you while waiting in line for 30 minutes for an elevator you will love it here!
The food was amazing, staff was incredible, I wasn’t expecting a whole DJ set during my meal though. Granted we did have a late reservation and the set was great! Just not the ambiance I was expecting. Ordered the brussels sprouts, beef skewers, good amount of nigiri, and dessert. Brussels we’re cooked really well, skewers had a antichuco sauce. The nigiri was perfect, great selection of fish, and we got a little birthday dessert at the end with some tea.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel, and we had beautiful views of the ocean and city. We really enjoyed our stay here. The fact that you can order room service from Nobu was a plus for us. The chicken and waffles had an Asian twist to them and they were delicious. The wagyu tacos are a must. You won’t regret it. They have a two taco limit on the tacos, but considering how small they are, we ordered several. The lobster and cod were very satisfying as well.
I stayed at this hotel in April 2021 for 4 days. I would not recommend due to the poor customer service provided and the overall quality of the rooms.Customer Service - I cannot express how terrible the customer service is at this hotel. Its truly the worst that I have experienced. The staff was consistently rude, dismissive, and carefree with any of my questions or requests. A couple examples below:Front Desk Clerk - 1 Star. Spent 10 minutes claiming he couldnt find my reservation but magically found it after I told him the name of the person I spoke to the night before and showed my reservation number. He lied and said my credit card was declined for my stay - but it went through with no issue the second time he ran it (no call from me to the companyt or anything). He then proceeded to state all of the rules the hotel had. Terrible first impression.Housekeeping Staff / Concierge - 1 Star - Due to the pandemic, there was no daily cleaning service for the room - which is understandable. On the last day of my stay, I called concierge and asked for two towels and some additional coffee pods for the in room machine. 45 minutes later - a gentleman came with the towels but didnt have the pods. When I asked him about them he said he didnt know and started walking off - when I asked if he was going to get them - he told me it wasnt his job. About 10 minutes later he knocked at the door and quickly dumped 3 of them in my hand and walked off with not even a word.Beach & Pool Attendants - 4 Stars - They were the only staff members I encountered that were friendly. They were extremely overworked and short staffed - the wait for drinks and food was near 1 hour at some points - but this was due to being short staffed. They worked the hardest and had the best attitudes. No complaint aside for the wait times.Nobu Restaurant - 3 Stars - Mediocre food but good service. It was good for the experience - but I wouldnt go back because the food was just average tasting. The service was good though - so I will give them that.Malibu Farms Restaurant - 1 Star - Terrible customer and food service. I went to this restaurant my 2nd day of my stay - was quoted 45 minutes for a table which was fine. An hour and half later I noticed that all of the other patrons that came after me had been seated - less one African American man who was waiting before me. When I went to the desk to ask about a table - they told me my name wasnt down. I showed them the text that confirming my slot. They then proceeded to tell me I would have to wait longer because their system failed. I told them that was unacceptable and the manager told me not to be rude. Again - the staff thinks they are doing the hotel guests a favor. I also let them know the other African American man had been waiting longer than us - we had tables in the next 3 minutes. I felt profiled racially in this incident - let me be clear - since my party and this man were the only minorities at the restaurant and we were sitting in plain view of the hostess.Overall, this is hotel is NOT WORTH the money for the quality of the hotel and the quality of service. The beach is beautiful - but it is Miami Beach - all the beaches will be beautiful. I am overall pretty disappointed with my experience.
We came for my sister’s bachelorette and Nobu Miami went above and beyond for our group! Fabiana in reservations was amazing to accommodate our room reservations for our group of 13. Sherein was fantastic with reaching out to our group ahead of time to make sure everything runs smoothly during the weekend of. During our stay, the service was great and very prompt! Check in and check out process was very easy and efficient ! Everything was fantastic for our large group!Only thing I wish they could do is clean the rooms on a daily basis. I understand the restrictions with COVID, however now that things are opening up and returning to somewhat normal, I would encourage to return to daily housekeeping (even if it’s just upon request) as other hotels and resorts are doing that! But overall, great experience! We will be back!
Pros:* Pretty room* Nice, clean pool* Connected to Miami BeachCons:* Poor cleaning service. Came back at 5 pm and room was still dirty.* DO NOT use refrigerator. They will charge you if you take out any of the beverages. We took out some drinks and replaced with ours and got charged for moving stuff. After explanation they removed the charges for drinks but still charged us for storage fee which was $40* $49 per day mandatory valet parking* $35 per day resort fee* $35 per stay for microwave* Overall very pricey.
Nobu Hotel was the most amazing stay I have ever had. They go above and beyond!! I recently stayed at the Nobu hotel with my husband for my birthday weekend!! Gwen from in room dining brought our breakfast room service to us. She sang Happy Birthday to me and it was the most beautiful thing ever! Her voice and energy was like an angel. It was an experience I will never forget. It honestly made my day!! The food, staff, location, was 15/10!! Totally recommend staying here!!
Rooms were beautifully updated And clean, all hotel staff was extremely helpful, especially Leah at the front desk. We were only there for one night but really enjoyed ourselves and will be coming back very soon. Highly recommend property to stay on Miami Beach!
We stayed at Nobu hotel while enroute of a cross country move. The hotel and hotel staff were extremely friendly and accommodating from the front desk to housekeeping to the valet. We had multiple odd requests and they were all met with ease. The only reason I provided 4 stars was because we ordered room service 3 times and each time there was an error with the order.
Checking in they check your temps and you have to wear a mask unless you are in the pool or beach or eating! Audrey sorry if I spelt her name wrong at the front desk was helpful and I got a room early which was perfect after landing in an early flight because normally check in is at 4pm! I got a ocean view suite and it was beautiful! Love the bathroom too my fav part inside with the hot tub! It was clean just know if you need anything you need to walk to front desk to get it like clean towels and more. The pool was nice and you can get two free chairs by the beach. Valet parking is expensive $50 per night but you can park next door for $20 per day! They do charge a resort fee of $39 per night. Overall I had a great stay.
Unfortunately I had higher expectations from this facility. Nobu always portrays as a luxury iconic brand and I booked this facility based on that. This is a very outdated property that requires upgrading to bring that clean and fresh vibe. The restaurants are beyond overrated with mediocre food. The caffe in the lobby is literally a rip off. I paid $12 for a cup of coffee and a small croissant. A boxed up salad and a drink was $21. Pretty unreasonable for fast food. The hotel isn’t equipped with self parking. The valet costs $50/night and it’s not mentioned in the reservation. I gathered that I will not revisit this facility again.
Just OK and definitely not luxury. The rooms were nice but thats about it. Front desk and room service were very slow. I wouldnt classify Nobu as a stand alone hotel because most of the hotel experience is at Eden Roc.
Very challenging check-in. I booked the hotel on booking.com after spending a couple days in the Florida Keys and we decided that we wanted to stay in Miami before flying back to Maryland. We arrived at the hotel and was told that there was a $200 per night incidental fee that was in addition to the cost of booking the hotel for three days. This was not on booking.com or any other information on the website. We were told that this would be a hold and they just charged the card anyway so it was not actually a hold it was a debit. We decided to cancel the hotel because of the crazy fees and parking fees. The front desk Russian guy refused to refund our money even though we did not check-in. We actually were going to stay anyway as long as they had an Ocean Front Room which after the fiasco, I asked the Russian gentleman to ask his manager to work out the room which would have turned into about $800 for 3 days but he refused. After that...I had enough. My famous patience for stupid situations was gone. After spending 1 hour on the phone with booking.com, it was cancelled. We drove away and called our bank only to find out the hotel charged over $1200 on our card. The bank told us to go back and get the amount refunded and get a receipt. Only then (2 hours later) did they refund our charges after we requested a receipt. These draconian billing practices were very unacceptable for a veteran on vacation. Its actually shameful for ANYONE!There are over 20-30 hotels RIGHT next to this hotel and across Miami Beach facing the water. I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. We found a hotel right down the street with an Ocean view of the beachfront and a balcony for 50% cheaper and just a $50 daily fee which was an actual hold and not charged.
Really shocked and disappointed with the level of service! First, the front desk is empty and everyone is waiting for so long to get someone for help!! We asked for a refrigerator for my husbands medicine and they took 3 hours after a million call to bring it although its not free of charge! We are staying in the suite with a balcony which was not cheap at. However, the balcony has no chairs and no bed mattress! I keep calling them and they refused to bring it saying that its in the storage!! This has really ruined my anniversary and Im regretting paying money for such service
Expected more from a 5-star hotel. The lobby and outdoor views are beautiful as well as showers and bathroom decor, however the rooms could use some updating. TV is old and many apps didn’t work, there were rips in window blinds, the iHome stereo doesn’t fit newer iPhone sizes, marble countertop and mirror looked dirty and we were told by housekeeping that it’s a common complaint. I think it’s worth upgrading if that’s the case. Service was pretty slow and we waited a whole day to receive new towels after having to call them multiple times. I will say that the restaurant was really good. Overall, I expected more from my visit, not sure if I’d visit the hotel at this location again.
I wish Uber Eats would deliver ice buckets cause I’ve been trying to get one from room service…
Reading the reviews I was prepared for this place to be pricey, however for what you receive it just isn’t worth the price. The pictures online of the hotel room with the ocean view are a bit misleading- the ocean is not that close as if it is right out the window.I think the resort fee is fair for the ocean side towel and chair service. If you do choose this hotel or Miami Beach in general it is not worth it to rent a car and pay $50 a night for parking . On top of any parking ramps that range from $2-25 depending on where you accidentally pull into.Back to the hotel- On the weekend morning it took 30 minutes to wait for the valet to get the car(there is no self parking)The food at the restaurant was okay , just over hyped on the internet .
Most exquisite & elegant hotel Ive ever been to in my life, & perhaps even the most immaculate hotel by far in South Beach Miami!!!If 10 stars were possible theyd have it from me!!!Thank you Nobu staff & all associates!!!
