THE BEST! Get ready to be spoiled from the moment you walk in. From excellent service, a sophisticated relaxing atmosphere and very skilled attendants. We even had Ashlee check in to make sure we were enjoying our service. She was very professional and courteous. If you want a relaxing day in a beautiful setting this is it.
First off, I loved my facial. Ana was so great. She created such a relaxing experience and my face felt absolutely amazing afterward. However, the real reason Im writing this review is to let others know how absolutely incredible the staff are at this spa. I accidentally left a super sentimental piece of jewelry in the pocket of my robe. When I realized I forgot it I immediately called the spa. They spent the next few hours searching for it, going through every robe, even the ones that were already in the wash. I walked into the spa to look for it myself and found a few of the spa staff searching the floors with the phone flashlights. I mean, they literally did their absolute best to find it. I had already lost hope but they called me two hours later to let me know they found it in the washing machine!! I was blown away at their determination to find it. I am truly filled with gratitude towards all of them.Overall, I am really impressed with the spa. I would highly recommend it to others. Especially given their truly phenomenal service.
Hands down best spa that I have been to at a luxury hotel. The staff are incredible and Anna was amazing! If you go for a massage, request Anna! You will not be disappointed. Also the only spa that I’ve been to that has a chest pillow for those that have breast implants. It’s a total game changer, and am now on the hunt for one. This was the best massage I’ve ever had. Thank you Anna and team 💓
We loved our stay. Massage was relaxing and lady’s were very attentive. Steam room and sauna. Pools everything great.
I had a great time except I paid for a bottle of champagne, and never got it.
My wife made a reservation for us to celebrate our anniversary at Mandarin oriental, Miami. She made the reservation over the phone and during the call, she was promised a bottle of champagne, breakfast included, and a $50 credit to use in any additional consumption (which is a Bed and Breakfast bundle that they offer standardly plus a bottle of champagne that they said they would give us for our anniversary)Upon arrival, we asked for a late check out and they offered 3 pm. We were charged $871 which included some additional charged for incidentals. When we got to the room, there was no bottle of champagne. We called and after a while a front desk manager looked for us at the so called beach bar (there is no beach) and told us that everything had been taken care of. They fixed the mistake and gave us the bottle after asking for it.The next day, we had our breakfast at the restaurant. No orders different that the buffet and coffee. At 1 pm somebody knocked at our door checking if we were leaving or extending our stay. The guy did not know that we had asked for a late check out that had been granted up to 3 pm.At 2:45 pm we checked out. When we got the bill, oh surprise!! There were some charges for the breakfast and a charge for $17 at the beach bar. They did not take into account the $50 credit that was part of the standard bundle. In summary, they promised 4 things: Champagne, $50 credit, Breakfast included and 3 pm check out. None was delivered without having to ask for each one again. After the complaint, they said they adjusted the bill according to offered promises. Two days after leaving the hotel, we got a charge of $83 additional. I checked my credit card and found that the initial charge for $871 was still there. No adjustment was made for that initial charge to reflect the final bill. And now another mistake of the $83.I called the hotel trying to understand where that charge came from and the lady at the front desk tells me that it is for minibar consumptions. We only consumed a bottle of Pellegrino ( that should have been offset by the initial $50 credit). They charged a bottle of wine and a beer that we did not consumed. So in summary, everything went terrible! Every single interaction was problematic. There is a lot of miscommunication between everybody. Reservations did not communicate to the front desk, if we do not ask for the adjustment of the $50, the front desk would have not applied the credit, the charge for the breakfast, the late check out and finally the mini bar mistake.TERRIBLE!!!
Not a five star spa when you can hear screaming children within ear shot. I spent over a $1,000 on a massage with my own private room and it was great BUT YOU CAN HEAR KIDS SCREAMING AT THE POOL - which is not relaxing and it ruined my experience. For such a fancy hotel they need to not allow kids at the pool...especially screaming children. Children should have their own pool, away from the hotel spa and hotel (perhaps a kiddie pool by their beach) so they do not disturb guests at the spa. I am very surprised.
Outstanding service. we had a couples massage, a facial, and after we enjoyed the sauna. will definitely come back. thank you for a great experience
Not a pleasant visit at the spa today. I’ve been to this spa 20+ times since I live a block away. I am a member of Mo club, which gives me a discount for the spa treatments. I guess the treatment I selected (mani pedi combo) is not included although it is in the menu, because it is a combo (?) while the gentleman who checked me in, said it was. There was nobody in the spa whatsover. After checking in the director of the spa came literally out straight to my face; at first I thought this was to thank me for my repeated business over the years, but to my greatest surprise, it was to give me hard time!! She started to bark at me, specifying that the gentleman had made a mistake, SHE is the one who decides and the discount cannot be applied because this was a combo, and started to complain about the fact I made the reservation without presenting myself (???) and complained that when she tried to call me back an hour ago I didn’t pick up the phone (I was walking to the spa!, and they have my phone number on file). She was really aggressive; very condescending telling me to look at website specifically, bla-bla-bla and why did “I hang up on her”?? I told her that it was fine, I would only do the manicure. But she said it was too late blablabla (I had made the reservation litterally 10 min before while walking there, how could that be too late? I know there was not a single customer there although it was a Friday afternoon, no surprise, so they wanted my attendance!!).In any case I ended up getting the combo, she insisted that I pay more for tip, like if I had two services??!! Granted I like the service, but why pay more than 20% on the full combo price? I ended up leaving $30.She totally ruined my spa experience.I feel I am being treated unfairly because I am a MO fan and they just don’t like to give us our discount. I am really disappointed and my co- members have all experienced the same thing. We should just leave this membership altogether.
Been going there for 8 years regularly. Sadly it’s a decrepit spa that u can never get to because phones remain unanswered and they never return calls . For a mandarin oriental this spa and its management is a tragedy. Take away the great therapists and it’s substandard. Will be staying away for sure.
I had a hydrafacial treatment done at the SPA and I left with a red spot on my nose which is still there after two weeks. Please be very careful if you book for a facial. I regret so much and never going back.
Horrible customer service that is an embarrassment to Mandarin Oriental Hotels Spa Services worldwide. I’m formerly an Avid user of the Mandarin’s NYC spa which is great. However, AVOID the Miami Spa as it is staffed with incompetent and unhelpful staff. AVOID Mandarin Miami — unless you like bad customer service.
I used to love this place.Went here for Valentine’s Day. It was super busy, everything was good until my masseuse started to check on her phone during the massage. She was massaging my foot, I noticed she was using only one hand and it wasn’t strong enough. I asked her to do it harder, but she kept massaging me same pressure with one hand. I waited patiently for about 15min,(at this time I kinda figured she was doing something else) but it didn’t get better.I got up and there she is! Checking on her phone!! She immediately hid her phone underneath the towel. She apologized and said “I was doing the best”. I just couldn’t believe it. It’s mandarin oriental hotel. It’s not cheap massage place in middle of nowhere.Manager came in and apologized me again, she told me they’ll switch masseuse, but I didn’t wanna stay there anymore. They ended up charging me nothing that day.I am not going back there anymore.
Based on the ratings and price I expected a lot more from the Mandarin. I was told to arrive early so I could enjoy the amenities at the spa. Unfortunately there arent many. There is a sauna and steam room and two showers. No jacuzzis or pools or anything else so I basically sat in the relaxation area which is five lounges waiting for the masseuse. The massage was average and the room lets in all the outside noise from the staff walking and working. Not worth the price and overrated.
This review is for the liftin facial, specifically. Prior to this experience, Ive visited the Mandarin in DC and it was excellent. The facility is also nice if you spend an hour relaxing the vitality pool or steam room. The tubs are nice to enjoy before treatment. This was my first time at the Mandarin in Miami and I was disappointed. I was asked to arrive 45 minutes early before my appointment to have time to relax. Upon my arrival I was greeted by Sheila. She was courteous and very professional. She had me fill out a form, took my shoes and brought me a pair of slippers, with tea and a wet towel. She then proceeded to give a tour of the spa. Upon walking through the hallway there was strong smell of acetone. When we entered the locker room I noticed a stained towel on the floor. The facility is fairly small, two bathrooms, small locker rooms, two showers, regular sauna, a steam sauna and a relaxation area. The shower was dirty with hair from the previous person. After the use of the sauna I proceeded to the relaxation room. The relaxation room has approximately 8 beds with curtains. They were all full and the only bed available was wet from previous person who had just left. You could hear the persons next to you breath. It reminded me of a hospital. The attendants walk freely in and out of the relaxation room with noisy carts full of towels. This was a completely different experience from the Mandarin in DC.Now onto the facial. I had the Liftin Facial with a facialist who was supposedly one of their popular staff members, for whatever that is worth. I was initially excited to learn more about the facial massage. But this facial was so utterly boring and disappointing. The facialist didnt share any specific information about my skin through the entire facial. Ill admit that my skin is in descent shape, but its certainly not perfect and I was hoping that there would be at least some feedback, discussion around my routine, or recommendations. Nothing. She literally said nothing and did not ask any questions. The entire facial consisted of her placing products on my face an wiping it off. The facial massage was light stroking of products (that I could have done myself, honestly). Guys, the ENTIRE time I was thinking about the serums and face oils I could have purchased for the money I was spending on this facial. At the end I noticed that instead of an 90 minutes I only received 60 minutes of a facial massage. When I asked her about the time she apologized and explained she was booked with other appointments. I asked to speak with the Manager - Marbella. She also apologized and explained that they had last minute walk in appointments and they couldnt accommodate more than 60 minutes. After spending over $450 + 18% gratuity they added to the bill I will never visit this place again. This was an expensive mistake!
Yesterday was my 3rd time to Archimedes The Spa at Mandarin Oriental in Miami! I love the atmosphere and the fact that one can be naked or half naked going from a 200 degrees dry sauna room and next jumping into a super cold pool. It is revitalizing for the mind body spirit. Also there is a cafeteria I usually always drink the fresh coconuts - super hydrating and great for you.
Today I had the package that included a 50 min massage, 50 min facial and mani pedi. What an amazing experience! The massage therapist who also did my facial was PHENOMENAL. The massage was the perfect amount of pressure with the right amount of attention to my areas of concern. My only complaint about the facial was no steam/extractions but otherwise it was fantastic. My skin was glowing all day- just the pick me up I needed. Now for the nails- wow! Mayra was SOOO sweet and did the most incredible job. Probably one of the best mani pedis I have ever had!! Her attention to detail was impeccable and she didnt miss a beat accommodating me and making me feel great. She was polite and respectful and knew when I wanted to just read a magazine and relax. We had great conversation when I was ready (lol takes me a little to wake up after a massage and facial). If you just want someone who does a great job in Miami- go see her and you wont be disappointed.Cleanliness: everything was managed perfectly and seemed very sterile and clean. There was always someone making sure the areas were tidy and spotless without being too much. There was never anyone really in your way at all, usually they were stealth like to clean LOL. I will say I noticed the waterfall in the relaxation room needed to be cleaned but who cares? Its a waterfall LOL. The showers, steamroom and sauna were impeccable.Pricing: I thought the price was well worth it. You pay for the experience of having relaxing facilities, professional staff and excellent service. To be honest, once youre out the door in other salons with your mani pedi- you probably spend about $20 or 30 more by coming here. In my opinion the time, environment, and quality is well worth the extra money. Like I said before, it was the best mani pedi I think I have ever had (out of MANY- probably 1 every 2 weeks for the past several years). Overall, Id do this again a million times if I could. If youre stressed and need half a day off to recover from life- do yourself a favor and splurge.
Great treatment (hot stone massage & stretching), however, I had a TERRIBLE experience afterwards. My 80-minute massage was booked for 8 pm so I specifically checked to ensure that I could use the facilities (steam room, sauna, etc....) after my treatment b/c the spa closes @9:30 pm. I was assured that I could use the facilities for as long as I wanted to afterwards.@9:30 pm on the dot, while I had just gotten into the sauna, the attendant came in to tell me that the spa was closed, that I had to leave the sauna but I could take a shower.Really? After a very expensive treatment @what is supposed to be a 5 star experience, I was VERY let down. This is NOT a 5 star experience! I am beyond disappointed & it completely ruined how great I felt after my treatment.
Its been a few days since my oxygen facial and my skin has never looked worse. It looks dull. It has no glow. My skin tones are off. Im even starting to beak out, and that does NOT happen with a true oxygen facial. I should of ran when I saw that calarisonic brush she used. Oh and Im pretty sure she used the brightening cream on me after I told her no because now some how magically my beautiful freckles are gone. This was by far the worst oxygen facial I have ever received. Maybe they thought I wasnt a local so they could treat me different, or just straight up judged me.Illuminating oxygen facial is what I received for $250To their packet in my hotel room it says the deep infusion of oxygen and the customized serum will revive and plump the skin for a picture perfect completion. Your skin will look and feel years younger, visibly lifted, toned and hydratedMy skin looks nothing like that. The lady (who hardly said her name so I dont even know who she is) said maybe five words the whole time. Massaged my chest (? Why) and neck, along with getting all her random creams and serums in my hair.. Never explained nothing unless I asked. I spent two hours there and left with overly oily skin that was not plump and my skin tones were even worse than when I waked inI had called twice before going to make sure this was the right oxygen facial for me, explaining to them what I was use to from other spas. They assured me TWICE it was exactly the same. That was a lie. They only offered me another oxygen facial... The same one I was so upset about. All five or so ladies I talked to also talked down to me and treated me like I was just a number, not a valued guest staying in this hotel who also lives in Miami.I will NEVER be coming back and I will be sure to spread to my 300+ female coworkers about this terrible scam and service.I just wasted my time and money now just to wash it all away and ruin my time with my boyfriend who is leaving town tomorrow.
As a tourist, my whole day plan was ruined to visit this spa. We booked 2 days prior and credit card details were taken including CVV. We were surprised that there wasn’t any booking once we arrived to the spa and they mentioned that CVV is not required for bookings. We drove more than 30 minutes for this experience and they didn’t try to offer anything to fix their mistake.
As an avid Spa fan, I have been to many a spa in my day - from Lapis at the Fontainebleau to The Spa at the Biltmore - Ive been to quite a few. I have to say this is one of the best thus far!First off, their service is wonderful. Everyone from the valet people to the front desk, to the pool personnel and waiters are extremely friendly and helpful. The view is AMAZING! Overlooking the river and all of the high rises, the Mandarin Spa is like a quiet oasis in the midst of the concrete jungle that is Brickell. The fact that they have a man made beach with sand and bungalows says a lot!The Spa facilities itself are awesome. Its dark mahogany wood is warm and inviting. The waiting area is lovely and calming and you have a variety of waters and snacks to choose from. The massage itself was perfection, They have great massage tables that are adjustable to you dont have to be completely facing down which could make you a bit stuffy at times.Their steam room is fantastic and their showers are large and comfortable. My only complaint was that there were only 2 showers - not enough in my opinion. My friend had to wait until I was done. After our massages we went to the pool and had a bottle of white wine and some sushi - all delicious. Later we moved to the beach ae for a nap and were visited by Brickell Keys greatest residents - the Iguanas! All in all, this is a great place for a relaxing massage. I highly recommend it.They accept Spa Finder Gift Certificates and the participant in Miami Spa Month. Our 50 minute massages were only $99
Terrible! The treatment I choosed is supposed to detox your body with a body wrap in a warm bed, the bed never got warm, I told the person who was attending me since I noticed because I had the same treatment before, she just ignored my claim and told me that she´ll talk to the manager, I told her to call the manager so they can verify what I was saying and the answer was she´ll talk to you when you´re finish. To my surprise she came with a bag with samples of body treatments, I made my claim and she told me that in my next appointment they with do a complementary foot massage and in the next time they´ll do the treatment in another space! Helloooo, it that the answer from a Manager to a customer in a luxury spa! Of course they charge me the full price of the treatment including the tip full tip that they usually automatically charge. Worst customer service ever!
I had a wonderful experience here! I tried the combination massage which combines Swedish massage/Chinese Accupressure/Thai stretching techniques and found that it was the best massage Ive ever had, plus I got a discount for checking in on Yelp! The massage therapists hands were like a magnet to all of the knots in my back that I didnt even know I had, and the stretching at the end was very yoga-esque. Theres something to be said for teamwork stretching out your muscles after theyve just been massaged and are still warm from hot water towels! Ive never really been one for getting a massage on the regular, but Im definitely hoping to make the Mandarin Spa a monthly routine!
Forget those dull gyoza/dumplings you got at other Asian restaurants. Once you tasted dumplings here, youd know what Im talking about. The aunties are also sooo friendly too. She was patient with me and always had a smile on her face :) Lastly, as youd expect, ***Cash ONLY***
Pedicure was very good! Staff member was really good at the scrub/leg rub, as well as the actual painting of the nails. She kept all the edges very clean
Simply phenomenal! From the amenities you can use (that shower is WOW) to the quality of the deep-tissue 2 hour massage.Worth every penny!!
Loved it. Made me feel relaxed and my skin felt fresh and healthy. I shopped loads of their products displayed. Slightly expensive but definitely a good experience
Went here for spa month. It was amazing!Expensive, but great. The pool area is super fun to chill at. Great views.
It’s a good thing I don’t live in Miami because I would spend all of my discretionary cash and disposable time HERE getting facials. Amazing treatments. Thank you!
Do not be late for your appointment as it will reduce your treatment time! Shower is amazing, must do/use
Great experience, beautiful spa, wonderful massage and amazing facial.
Wonderful experience. Shayla at the front desk in the spa was so kind and professional. I can’t wait to visit again.
Amazing experience! Beautiful place. True spa environment that’s peaceful, clean and accommodating staff.
My worst experience... the treatment was far from what i expected, I was told a reasonable price over the phone, but turned out they charged me 5 times the price we originally agreed.
Very professional $$$$ But if you need a good massage this is the perfect place they are the best.I recommend it
The best spa Ive been to, an unforgettable shower, and a lovely selection of beach wear to choose from.
A fabulous place to relax, they absolutely host a holistic environment I recommend
Excellent Experience with Tania the Spa Concierge - Excellent Experience with Facialist Joana - Excellent Experience with Manicure and Pedicure Fila (hope that is how her name is Spelled) ❤🌻❤
The massage over there just ok. I prefer go somewhere else for better massage.
Loved the environment, very clean & professionally done. I definitely recommend!
They dont accept cash to pay a gift card ,Ill take my business somewhere else.would not recommend this place👎
5 srar...what more can I say...love it!!
The best relaxing experience ever!
Absolutely amazing ❤️❤️
EXCELLENT body wrap is the winner!
Gratefully
Wouldn’t come again
Okay
Terrific service!!
Great place
AWESOME!!!
Exceptional
The space is full of Egyptian style, luxurious and beautiful design. The consultants are very enthusiastic, I especially like the spa staff because of their good techniques and cute conversation. The service price here is a bit high, but you dont need tips so its actually okay. I tried slimming down and it was quite painful, but facial and essence treatments were also gentle. The process is identical to Pan Clinic in Saigon including exfoliation with natural acid, acne removal, essence application, and mask application.
A relaxing place with a warm welcome.
Mayra gave me a relaxing massage and an AMAZING facial. He has super spectacular hands… the experience is incredible
The experience you are missing in your life!! The earthly paradise !! The Spa that will make you travel to another dimension!!
Spectacular super recommended for a massage
Goodnight
Fabulous
Beautiful relaxing
