Massage Envy

I’m not happy about the availability of massage therapists. Schedules and people sick or leaving…Last minute cancellations… I’m trying to be understanding but bottom line -I just want a massage! I have been a member for ever and have also had a hard time leaving… MEdoes not make this easy! Services I have had were wonderful…. Facials and stretch, but I want a massage!

5 Stars for Chynna, she is wonderful! I loved my experience with her. 5 Stars for Becky, I dont think she is there now but she was wonderful too.I cancelled membership after my commitment period, which took over a month to do. I wouldnt recommend a membership, the process was not great. Cancelling was difficult to do, as the manager tried to convince me to stay, or do a hold. Which I understand is their job. But I dont like be pressured, feels like a car sales man and I hate that.Long story short, my last credit was taken when I scheduled my husband an appointment with my final credit. I asked three times to send him confirmation, in person and on the phone. Each time they told me I would receive one to confirm the appointment. As expected (because this isnt the first time I didnt get a confirmation) he missed the appointment. I understand missing an appointment when knowing about it, but when you dont receive a confirmation when asking so many times, thats on them. Manager would not help resolve this.I tried for about 2-3 months to get the app to work when I first started. The front desk told me to connect tech support and tech support told me to contact the front desk. It was a lot of back and forth before I gave up as no one could help me. Maybe a functional app would have helped with the appointment schedule and reminders.I couldnt even schedule a single appointment a month in advance for the following month, looking at all staff and all times. Availability of appointments was very tough for me and didnt align well a 8-5 Mon - Fri work schedule. I was told there would be more staff on soon to help with that. I am done.Something that is supposed to be relaxing... Services rendered were great. Everything else was a headache for me.Wound up paying for a month I couldnt use. I wouldnt recommend the monthly subscription.Information about membership when signed up that was not accurate once my membership started. This resulted in spending more money then I wanted to spend without being able to book a massage.Found a place I love very much and its half the cost. Will not go back to Massage Envy and will not recommend this business due to management.Once again, this is NOT a reflection of services rendered.

This place used to have some great therapists. Unfortunately, they’ve all quit in the last few months and now you can’t get in with anyone. When you call to pause your account because credits are piling up (after your appointment gets cancelled because your therapist quit), you’re informed that you can either pause for free for 3 months and not be able to book at all or pause for $20/month and still be able to use your credits. I can’t get in, but you’re going to charge me $20 for the privilege of not being charged the full amount so that I can at least keep trying to get in. I was also told that they’d send the paperwork “right now over email” - that was about an hour ago and I haven’t received it yet.This is absolutely ridiculous. Just don’t go here.

Krista did such great work on my neck, back, and shoulders during my massage. She was so insightful about the pain and tension issues I was having, as well as having great tips for how to improve my issues with certain movements or exercises. McKenzie at the desk was polite, friendly, and helpful! The vibe is relaxing and comfortable while waiting for the session and the rooms are clean, relaxing, and well decorated! Awesome massage clinic and they even have skincare services and products too!

Can never get in for an appointment. They oversold their memberships & the ones who have been with them for years, cannot get in to get even a 60 minute massage. Waste of money!!

I have been coming to Massage Envy for at least a decade. What used to be a reasonably priced monthly massage has risen beyond the quality of what is received. You do not get an hour massage. Yesterday my massage with Alex was good but short. I was in the room for 45 minutes but five of those were for changing. $70 (plus tip) for a 40 minute massage is a steep price. Plus the business is guaranteed my monthly payment. They are short staffed so they book two months out; you need to be on top of making appointments otherwise you get too many credits. Each time I book I rotate through the five therapists because of their limited availability; I never see anyone consistently. Very frustrating.

Becky is the best! You dont think she is pressing very hard, but her style finds AND addresses problem spots. Id go to her weekly if I lived here.

Ashley who helps with scheduling is amazing!! She is always keeping an eye out if a spot pops up with a therapist that you’re used to working with….keep up the great work!!Chynna is the best in town!! I have seen her for both facials and microderm….and she always does an amazing job! Would highly recommend :)Curtis is also amazing for massages, would highly recommend him as well!!

Kat does an amazing job. She is an amazing massage therapist. She listens to my needs and tailors a session to what I need each time I see her. She is especially good at deep shoulder work.

It was my first time at massage envy and the experience was outstanding!! I needed a deep massage and was recommended to have Curtis do it. He was wonderful and took care of all the knots from head to toe. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and answered all the questions I had. I will be going there again.

Therapist Katharine does a fantastic job of getting to my problem areas and massaging out the aches and pains. She is friendly and helpful, very professional.The front desk staff has always been very friendly and helpful. If there is a scheduling issue I am always notified in a timely manner and they do their best to reschedule.

I wanna say that Alex did an amazing job! He was friendly and made the environment very comfortable and gave great customer service (that goes for the front desk worker too)! He also really listened to the amount of pressure I wanted and applied more pressure when I asked for it. I had a lot of knots in my back and it felt like he worked them all out. Ill definitely be requesting him from now on and will recommend him to others!! Great job!!! Keep up the good work, Alex!!

Alex does awsome work with his massages! He does a wonderful job at making his clients feel comfortable in their environment. Listens to what his clients want in their massages, and leaves clients feeling refreshed and renewed!!

I highly advise not giving this place business. I got a membership to massage envy as a gift and have been going monthly for half a year. I’ve gotten a deep massage from a different person each time. I’m extremely dissatisfied with every person I’ve seen - the touch has been very light to the point where I don’t feel any affects from the massage. I let the therapist and secretary know how I was feeling and they said I can cancel the membership. There was no feedback that lead me to believe that the feedback was taken into consideration.

I always enjoy getting a massage with Alex. He listens to your needs and always makes me feel better by the end of my session. The front desk people are super friendly and always have a smile for you. Great place for your massage needs with additional add-ons to make you feel even better. Plus a great place to get a facial too.

Not worth the time or money. Ive gone to several different businesses for massages and this was my least favorite. I requested a therapist that could provide a deep pressure massage, but ended up with someone that gave the lightest touch massage Ive ever had - even despite requests for more pressure. Front desk staff and my masseuse werent very attentive. The facility itself felt very cookie cutter I didnt get the overall relaxing atmosphere that I was hoping for. I recommend Elements Massage in Middleton instead, theyre much better and worth the time & money.

My therapist was wonderful as always but I was so miserable thoughout the whole massage. The heat wasn’t on and my room read 62 degrees! When you only have a sheet for warmth, it becomes a very long hour. I’m sad I wasted a credit on this. I wish someone would have called to warn me about the heat and I would have rescheduled.

I have had overall good experiences at Massage Envy. Be sure to request a therapist who can do the level of pressure you prefer. It is best to book as far ahead as you can since massage therapist schedules tends to book up quickly. They occasionally have last minute openings due to cancellations. I generally feel a lot better after massages I get here because the therapists listen to my concerns and pay attention to certain areas I ask them to focus on. My only complaint is that the massage time seems to be cut a bit short sometimes. Dont expect a 60 minute massage to be 60 mins on the table. Its closer to 45-50 minutes with time for disrobing/getting dressed.

Very nice massage location. Tight on times and availability reflecting the number of people who left the massage industry during the pandemic.Their people are very professional.

It is a nice place with qualified people. It used to be great place, until something changed. I wouldnt recommend this place if you are getting massage as therapy or to help you in any timely manner. I just booked the next available massage out nearly 2 months away. The receptionists and political and the massage therapists are quality. I just wish they wouldnt have closed down a location and then lowered availability.

Curtis is the best massage therapist Ive ever had. I have bad back issues and he was able to do some non-traditional tweaks to my massage to knock my pain from an 8 to a 2. Im grateful to have landed him here.

Curtis is fantastic! I have sciatic nerve pain and muscle spasms in my leg due to disc herniations. He worked my glutes yesterday and the spasms actually ceased for several hours. They’ve been constant for 8 years, so it was amazing to have even a short period of relief.

I have been seeing Kimmy for years. She is amazing and has literally saved my life. She is always happy to see me as I am over the moon to see her. I look forward to my visits to this location. Everyone at the front is always professional and welcoming. Even through COVID they have been wonderful. 10/10

Great experiences at Massage Envy in Middleton. I have a massage envy only a few miles from my house, but I drive an extra 30 minutes to see Jamie the esthetician in Middleton. She has turned my skin around and lightened up my dark pigmented spots. She is awesome. The front desk staff and the therapists have all been great too.

Curtiss is The best massage therapist I’ve ever worked with. He’s been my massage therapist for over 5 years. He is very knowledgeable about Fibromyalgia and gets my joints moving. With his help I am able to keep moving and manage my chronic pain.

Curtis is an excellent massage therapist at the Middleton location. I felt very safe with all of the restrictions Massage Envy has in place, from checking in on line before you enter the facility, 100% masks are worn by guest and staff and touch free check out as well.

I have attempted to try Massage Envy numerous times. My schedule does not allow me to plan too far out. Maybe a day or two. I finally get an appointment! The morning of the massage they call and cancel it. The therapist was sick. The next possible availability is in the middle of next January! There are 3 massage envys in the Madison area. None of them will get my business! Too bad, I was really looking forward to using them. I usually get a massage once a week.Just a quick follow up- I did what the owner asked by directly contacting them through their online portal. Guess what? Nothing. They just put up that response to seem like they care. What a joke. If I could I would give you -5.

My review is reflective on the customer service side. Everything was going great and signed up for the year membership but when it comes to cancelling they make it IMPOSSIBLE! And they get you with the whole once the membership is done you will automatically be enrolled in the month-to-month plan, and take your money. You need to MAIL in a cancellation form! We are not in the stone age, PLEASE make this process more friendly for those who live far away and dont own printers! Very angry with this.But everything else, the massages were amazing, great environment.

I was charged for a 2 hour massage that they claim I “no call, no showed”. (I found this out by looking at a billing statement I had requested because I felt like all of a sudden the number of massages I had prepaid dropped significantly.) For this 2 hour massage, I never received a reminder call as I always get the day prior or the call to see where I was when I “didn’t show” for the appointment as they claim they always make. In the 4+ years I’ve been a member I have NEVER missed an appointment. I’ve asked 4 different times to speak to a manager about this and once to an owner and have yet to receive a return phone call. This first request was on January 7th, it is now March 5th. Wonderful way to treat your longtime members.

Alex is awesome. Super knowledgeable. I always feel like he does a great job catering the massage specifically for me and doesn’t just go through the motions. Highly recommended

I previously had a membership with Massage Envy and utilized the Middleton Location. I moved to Monona and got a job that would cover massage so I canceled my membership and was told I was all set and that my card would no longer be charged. I check several charges a month on my card and noticed about a year later that they had been charging my card still. I called and spoke with someone on the phone who said Id be called back by a manager on Friday as they took over $1000 out of my account, I had over 15 massages stored up that I never attempted to use because I was told I was all set and my membership had been canceled.I never received a call back so I emailed their headquarters explaining they had made a mistake and without my permission (in fact I explicitly said Im done please dont charge my account) taken money from me each month. I received an email from the owner asking to speak about it over the phone on a Monday. I emailed back and gave her times in which I would be available. I received no such call. I emailed again a week later explaining that it was obvious this was their mistake and that they had taken over $1000 from me with no urgency to return it and that I would file with small claims court to which I am now doing.It was a mistake their employee made, I understand it seems irresponsible I only check several transactions a month instead of all of them however I also should not have to double check their employees work and was told I would no longer be charged so I didnt look for the transaction. Its obvious I didnt want these massages nor did I even attempt to render the services they charged me for. Im now out over $1000.I imagine the way they conducted business with me far reaches into the way they do business internally and with their clients. Dont go here, their business practices are horrendous.

I had a month-by-month subscription a while back. My first complaint is that every session was cut short by 10-15m. Thats policy. Second, as I tried to cancel the membership, they simply will not listen. I sent several e-mails after which they still kept charging my card. I inquired, and was told that I needed to cancel in person by singing some sort of form. The business of creating deliberate difficulties for people to cancel the membership earns them a one star. I also called recently to schedule a leftover appointment that I had paid for. I was told that since I had not used the appointment within a month or 3 (dont recall the exact details), the session that I had paid for was forfeited. In summary, if you like gotcha-business practices, this is the place for you. If you like honest, straight up practices, see an independent.

I feel I had more of a body rub in most places on my body. Her hands were cold. I have had many massages so I was a bit disappointed. I received a gift card to use and will try another service. Overall disappointed for the cost. Would not recommend for the cost.

I see the same therapists most of the time snd they are second to none!! Curtis, Alex and others use techniques that improve physical, emotional and mental health. They are great at reading whether the session will involve chit chat, relaxing or both.

Curtis has the best skills at finding the sore muscles and working them so they feel better without pain yhe next day.Chynna does a wonderful facial that is relaxing and makes my skin feel so much better.

Massage Envy is incompetent . I just got a phone call from Cory at the California Message Envy telling me they were going to charge my card for services if I didnt come for my facial appointment. I live in Wisconsin. They pulled up the wrong customer. A year ago, I had a horrible facial and asked for the managers help in resolving the issue. They never got back to me so I cancelled my membership. They charged me for 5 months after that, refunded me and I asked to be deleted from their system. They can not delete people and their customer service is horrible.

Been a member for ~5 years at this location. Great people work here, only issues I have relate to corporate issues (it is a chain) with technology and ease of appointment set-up could be more user-friendly. That said, it has gotten better.

Alex does such a great job finding, focusing and relieving tension on the areas Im having issues with. Pressure is always adjusted to my liking from firm to medium. Friendly staff, great service and highly recommend!

This for the front desk people at Fitchburg. No one was at the front desk for at least 5minutes in the a.m.No one answers the phone in the mornings. I specifically told the guy I had 2 months accrued $120.00. There should have been no charge for January. He charged me and then another monthly fee was taken out. Now I have to bring in checking account info in order to get this straightened out.Burkee did a poor job on the massage. She was in a bad mood, sat slouchingand scowling at front desk. I asked her to spend time on my TMJ areas, she did not even touch them.skipped my hands, just a poor job all around. I usually only go to Katt, she is great. She is booked up 3 months ahead. I am fed up. I am quitting.

Curtis was great! His knowledge base is obviously very thorough, he was able to really target and manipulate trouble spots to get to the core issues I had. Would absolutely recommend!

Curtis is the best provider of therapeutic massage. He knows exactly what the problem is and how to fix it. I will continue to go to Massage Envy in Middleton as long as he is there!!

Curtis is truly and expert in his field. He is able to relieve the pain from tight muscles and fascia. His massages are so healing!

I like the reminder texts for appointments. I have been seeing Kim for awhile & she has a great touch; massaging all the tension out of my upper back.

Alex gives a great massage, he listens to what you need and works on the areas related as well, he has good pressure and good energy and gives a great overall massage.

Emily was fantastic. She was extremely professional and very talented. I would highly recommend her and will definitely be seeing her again!!

There’s just never appointments. What’s the point in a monthly membership if I can’t get in for 2 months? I love the therapists, but would not recommend the membership.
