Reneé consistently gives an excellent massage. Her healing hands know how to find and release tight muscle areas and her intuitive nature guides her to understand which tools maybe helpful (hot stones, cupping, etc) to further release restrictive areas. I fully appreciate the care and experience.

Rebecca was absolutely phenomenal!! She was very understanding and knowledgeable in her reiki practice and my particular situation. Rebecca took time after my appointment to talk about and discuss things and her knowledge. I will definitely be making another appointment.

Renee is an amazing massage therapist. She always seems to know what my body needs and spends extra time on those spots that really need it. I see her regularly with my membership and it’s always a highlight to f my month.

Edit: Im satisfied with the response I received from the business and scheduled with another massage therapist in a couple of weeks... Ill update again after that!I went for a massage and cupping session on 3/6, my first and last time going here. The facility itself was fine and the lady, Renee, was nice enough before and after, but everything else was just bad. She started by asking what pressure I wanted and I said medium, which is normally great for me in prior massages, sometimes I ask for more or less pressure at certain spots. Anyway, I get on the table and when she comes in, without saying a word, starts some machine that sounds like a leaf blower and rubs it all over me over the sheet. Im assuming its supposed to warm the muscles or something but I dont know because she never explained it at all... The cups were placed and most werent nearly tight enough. AT LEAST eight fell off during the short cupping session...Ive never experienced anything like it. She blamed it on my dry skin... As for the massage itself, it was more like her rubbing oil on me... I asked FOUR times for more pressure. The first time she did a little more pressure for about 30 seconds. The other times she was totally unresponsive. The last time I asked I actually said, I guess I actually want deep pressure. Nothing. At the end, I paid of course, and stupidly tipped. Though with this service it wasnt at all deserved. Its hard when the person is the one checking you out to not, and Im not confrontational. But I really felt the need to leave a review. I rarely get massages and really needed a good one after a stressful and traumatic few weeks and this was a huge disappointment and big waste of money.

I have been to Renu for 2 prenatal massages so far and have had amazing experiences both times. I love that this is a smaller spa. It is much more personal and intimate. I really appreciated how Heidi sat down to talk to me prior to the massage beginning (and before undressing) about where my tension areas were and where I wanted her to cover or not cover during my massage. She asked me about trying hot stones and cupping therapy which I had never experienced before and both were great! I also really like that they dont use oil during the massage because I have had massages before where they use way to much oil and you leave the massage feeling greasy and gross. They use a lotion that leaves your skin feeling moisturized. I will definitely continue going to Renu in the future for massages and other spa treatments and I recommend them to all of my friends!

I was in desperate need of a massage and came across Renu. As soon as I saw their commitments to inclusivity and creating safe spaces I was eager to book since those are hugely important to me.Brian was just outstanding! He is really knowledgeable about his practice and he takes the time to explain what hes doing and why, which I really appreciate. I felt at ease the entire time and he provided a safe, positive and healing experience! I couldnt believe the relief I had after one session-I am looking forward to booking with him again (sooner rather than later, since I want to keep up the forward progress we just made on some angry muscles!) I went to Renu for a massage some relaxation and nurturing. I had never had a professional massage before so I had no idea what to expect. First when I walked in, the space has a high vibration and offers such a beautiful energy I immediately felt relaxed. Heidi has really created a nurturing space. Erin was my massage therapist, she was so sweet and extremely comforting. She kept checking in with me to make sure I was comfortable. She was fantastic! She seemed to know exactly what I needed I felt so relaxed. My body released stress it was storing and I felt better even days after. It was amazing!! I cant believe I went this long without getting a massage. I will definitely be going back to Renu. Renu really offers people a space to let go, heal stress and fulfill your well being. I went to Renu right after my car accident and got a regular and hot stone massage. The owner is very friendly and kind and I love that you can schedule online. Their prices are more affordable than other places in the Madison area. The massage therapist (Debi) was very kind and skilled and helped relieve the pain I was experiencing from my whiplash in my neck, left shoulder, and hips. The room was nice and relaxing. I found the massage so helpful that I am going again this weekend to help with some of the pain I have left over in my left arm. I will continue to go in the future just for other future health benefits and to relax. I have received professional massages before from other places and my sister (who is a massage therapist who lives far away) but I enjoy massages from Renu and my sister the most. I really enjoy going to Renu and plan on future visits!

My wife and I have both been to Renu and absolutely loved it. The massage therapists could not have been more professional. My wife went in a few days before having a baby and thought her prenatal massage was just what she needed at that stressful time. The atmosphere was great (peaceful, quiet, relaxing, etc.) We definitely plan to make many return trips to Renu!

I went to Renu to use a Groupon for a hot stone massage and had a very nice experience. I would agree with other reviewers that the building isnt especially nice, but I didnt feel like it really took away from my experience (at least there were no issues with cleanliness!). I had my massage with Johnna and was really happy with her. She was super friendly, and she tried very hard to make sure my experience was perfect. I felt like she really listened when I explained what I wanted, and she made sure that I was comfortable every step of the way. Ive had many professional massages, and I would rank this one as above average. I would definitely go back to Renu with a Groupon, but Im not sure if I would choose it if I were going to pay full price, simply because I could pay the same amount and go somewhere with more aesthetically appealing facilities.

Olga is the best. Although we’d ran into a mishap on the day of my appointment that eventually got rescheduled because I expected the Single Deluxe Massage Package w/ 30 min sauna, got miscommunicated. With no hesitation, she made my appointment for the following day. Nonetheless, Olga did a great job. She was concerned about the areas that needed the most attention. My foot being one ☝🏽. Whatever she did, I feel no pain. She had me so relaxed, I forgot where I was. She’s definitely a wonder doctor 👩‍⚕️. Thank you Renu and Olga for welcoming me. I recently had a massage with Heidi and Renu Day Spa and loved it. The spa space is quiet and relaxing and has a very zen feel to it. Heidi is incredibly knowledgeable takes your preferences in consideration for determining the best techniques for your specific situation. I experience knee pain and tightness in my neck and shoulders. Heidi used the perfect combination of deep tissue massage and cupping therapy. After my massage my muscles felt much less tense and I felt relaxed and refreshed. I will definitely be visiting Heidi and Renu Spa again soon!

Amanda was excellent! The whole process was very easy, with online booking and payment options. I appreciate the masking requirements still in place, and Amanda made sure I was comfortable at all times during the massage. I will 100% be booking again.

I have been going to Renu for a quite some time. I like the new management and therapists a lot better than when it was Leias Renu.While the decor and experience is pretty much equal to what you will find in Madison (and Ive been other places), the costs and knowledge of different techniques are what keeps me coming back. You pay as you go so no memberships and big payouts up front like the chain massage places.I like that my therapist, Heidi, is involved in the complementary medicine community and keeps up on new techniques, so you can always modify that days bodywork depending on how you are feeling - its not just a cookie cutter relaxation message.

I had a fabulous massage at Renu. When I went to book an appointment, I was able to do so easily and found an appointment for soon enough to help with some of the headache problems I was having. Their directions on the web made the location easy to find, and the spa itself was very clean and relaxing and soothing. The massage therapist was very prompt and responsive, and did a great job of working on me and helping me to relax, and was very good at changing her pressure on a few spots where I was extra sore. She also gave me some good stretches to do at home to help with my neck and head pain. I will definitely go there again!

Ive recently had two massages with Heidi at Renu-both of which were great. The first time I went, I had a regular therapeutic massage, and the second time she incorporated cupping therapy into my massage. Ive had a shoulder injury for over a year, which after physical therapy was pain free, but ive definitely had a reduced range of motion and stiffness in that shoulder since. Heidi did cupping on my shoulder as well as my back, and I feel like it really loosened up my tight back and shoulder. It leaves some bruising (which is normal with cupping therapy), but considering how dark the spots were on the first day, they disappeared almost entirely in just a few days. I will definitely continue to go to Heidi!

My husband and I recently went here for a couples massage. We didnt go with the couples massage package, which included a foot bath, chocolates, and beverages. Rather, we each had a massage in the same room. I had a prenatal massage and my husband had a regular massage. Overall, we had a nice experience. It was something fun and different that we hadnt done before. The room was very spacious and relaxing. The massage therapists were very nice and professional. I appreciated how they didnt talk to us much during the massage.Honestly though, Ive had many massages and this was just average. If you need a prenatal massage, I would suggest going somewhere that specializes in it, like Belly-Massage for Mamas to be(Fantastic!!!). The pressure was very mild here, and they never asked us how the pressure was. I did feel somewhat relaxed after the massage, but my muscles didnt feel worked by any means. I did ask at one point for the pressure to increase, but it was already half way through the massage. If you are strictly going for just relaxation, then this place is great! Romantic as well.So, compared to other places Ive been, this was mediocre. Just my preference.

I first received a massage at Renu as a result of a thoughtful birthday gift. Since that time, I have returned for treatment of a whiplash injury in addition to prenatal massage. My experience has been exceptional and I highly recommend it, particularly Heidis healing touch, to everyone.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Got a couples message for my anniversary yesterday. Great foot soak with delicious fresh strawberries and chocolate. Then the best message I think Ive ever had! Followed by the sauna. Magdalena and Jeff were wonderful! Very kind, thoughful, and professional. We were both very pleased with our experience, and will be back for sure! I would recommend them to everyone! Well worth it!

After my motorcycle accident 4 years ago, I suffer from random back spasms and muscle aches. Being stuck behind a computer 20 hours a week doesn’t help, so I finally gave massage another go. Id tried 3 places in the past, but none specialized in myofascial release, cup therapy, and a solid message. I work with Heidi, the owner, who does outstanding work and brings me relaxation every time. I would highly recommend Renu Massage & Day Spa, if you have regular pain or if you just want to relax for an hour. Try it out for yourself.

I had a massage with Amanda. I had an amazing experience. The environment was comfortable and relaxing. I appreciated the communication and felt like my specific needs/concerns were addressed.

I first visited Renu after dealing with some upper back pain for several weeks. Heidi suggested cupping therapy, which was exactly what I needed. My pain was completely gone after ONE session! Great place! Highly recommend the cupping therapy if you have never tried it! I had a knee injury and Heidi got me back and moving pain-free very quickly. So many benefits from the treatment! Im also looking forward to getting to the spa to try out one of the prenatal massages :)

My co-workers surprised me with a 60 minute massage today at Renu Massage and Day Spa. I was very surprised but not nearly as surprised as I was by the massage I received from Meg. Meg sat down and talked to be before my massage...asking me where my problem areas were, if I wanted spot specific massage or general relaxation. She used Reiki and hot stones during my massage...which was a first for me. She was very in tune to my problem areas and only focused where I needed it. I could tell that Meg is very passionate about her profession and made me feel like she really cared about my physical and mental well-being. I walked out of my massage relaxed...physically, mentally, and emotionally. I highly recommend Meg and Renu Massage and Day Spa to everyone. I know I will be back!

From the old used robes that didnt fit, to the overly bright room we were in while getting the massage. Also, the 25 extra we spent for a sauna felt very similar to being put into a kinda warm closet. The massage itself was good.

My husband and I have both had excellent deep tissue massages from Brian. Will definitely return and am considering becoming a member and ditching Bergamots membership.

After three nights in hospital with some uncontrollable pain, I finally gave massage another go. Id tried other places, but none specialized in myofascial release and none have given me such relief. Ive been working with Heidi, the owner, who does incredible work and has helped me cope when my doctors couldnt. I highly recommend this place if you have chronic pain or if you just need to relax and take a break!

I highly recommend Rebecca for a Reiki session. I felt completely calm, relaxed and my pain was greatly reduced. She has a real gift. 💖

Ive been going to Renu for massages with Maggie for a couple of months now, and its been great. The facility is quiet and relaxing, the staff is laid back and professional, and my shoulders are slowly feeling so very much better with regular treatment.

I have back issues and these ladies are the only ladies Ill trust to massage my back. The level of care is amazing! They really make you feel welcome. I would highly recommend.

The masseuse was on the phone when I arrived and didnt get off the phone when I walked in.When I walked in and stated I wanted a deep tissue massage he seemed put out by my request.The room was cold.The bed heater was not on for most of my massage.The masseuse had very cold hands.When working on my upper body the masseuse uncovered both of my arms and when working on my lower body he uncovered both of my legs instead of one at a time making it quite chilly for me, even after I said I was cold and asked for another blanket.The heated stones we so hot they hurt at first.All in all an incredibly disappointing experience.

This spa is in the basement floor of an old office park, which made me leery to begin with.I cant speak to the quality of the spa, however, because when I arrived on Mothers Day for my scheduled appointment, the masseuse informed me that they had no record of my name or appointment in the system (when I had called a week in advance and given my credit card information over the phone to hold the appointment). Since the masseuse was the only one working there and had another client coming in, there was nothing she could do except apologize. While I felt her apology was genuine, she didnt make any effort to rectify the situation. I asked if I could have an additional discount on a spa service if I rescheduled and came back later in the week, which she said they could probably accommodate. However, I wont spend money with a business that put a damper on my Mothers Day, no matter what the cost savings. This was incredibly disappointing. Next time, Ill be going to a larger spa chain to avoid another situation like this.

I was in town for a business trip and got a prenatal massage Magdalena. I was every happy and would for sure book again next time Im back in Madison...The place was very clean and so friendly. Magdalena was so nice and so thoughtful and on top of it gave an great massage...

I have had chronic back pain and very stiff muscles since high school (more than 10 years ago) and I have heard about the cupping therapy. It is very different, but does it make a difference! Leaves some marking but worth it. I would recommend at least trying it, see if it works for you.

Magdalena is a truly excellent massage therapist. Shes very responsive, adjusting pressure and force as needed, and creates a truly soothing environment.

Olga has been a life saver. I have gone once a month for 3 years. They are wonderful.

They squeezed us in last minute with no problems. Very relaxing. It was the perfect birthday present for my wife.
