Mirage Spa

I recently visited Mirage Spa for the first time, and I couldn’t have had a better experience. As a first-timer, I was a bit nervous, but the staff immediately made me feel welcome. They were incredibly friendly, patiently answering all my questions and guiding me through the different services they offer. The ambiance was serene and relaxing, making it the perfect escape from the everyday hustle. If you’re new to spas, I highly recommend Mirage Spa—the team is kind, the environment is calming, and it’s a wonderful place to unwind. I’m definitely planning to come here whenever I feel stressed and want to relax.

I really like this place & my masseuse this time named Cindy but she forgot to oil & massage my left leg. She had oiled & massaged the right but went straight into the warm towel & stone to clean off the oil, without having done the left leg. This is the first time EVER in maybe near about a hundred of massages I’ve gotten that a masseuse forgot to do both sides. Disappointed in management who I eventually told at payment & just looked at me with googlely eyes & just continued on to take my payment. I just gave less tip than my usual.*** UPDATE 7/30/24Manger/owner immediately called to acknowledge my comment at the front desk & my timely review, he was very sorry & spoke to the employee which I hope she’s not in trouble because she was very good! I still had a great time but wanted to express what was missing from the usual protocol… I also learned to tell them upfront now while on the table and to acknowledge that we all make mistakes sometimes because we’re human. He offered a kind gesture for my next visit & have changed my review from 3 stars to 5

Best massage I’ve been to in a very long time. I literally booked another session the following weekend after my first time here. Plus, the staff is so pleasant!

I was very happy after the massage. Unfortunately the person at the reception ruined my experience. I went with my wife and my mother, when I paid with my credit card she told me that the tip could only be paid in cash. I only had 15 dollars in cash so I handed it over, the receptionist in a very unfriendly tone told me that the minimum was 20%. I am a person who values ​​work and I like to tip but I really only had the $15 in cash. I felt pressured and the worst of all was that she pretended not to understand my English when I communicate daily. I felt racism and pressure. In the end when she realized that I seriously didnt have any more cash, she wanted to accept my credit card. Ridiculous

This is my go-to massage and I’d always go for Tina. But today she wasn’t in and I had Amy. To be honest I felt so much pain instead of relaxation. During the massage I got so dizzy cause the way she massaged me was like shaking me or what. I just wasn’t please. This used to be a great place. I don’t know what’s happening.

Really great first experience at Mirage with Yuki for a 45min massage that felt a lot longer than that! Very relaxing and thorough massage, which was very much needed.

Shirley is my new best friend! Walked by and decided to stop in to see if I could get a quick 30min massage. Luckily they accept walk ins and I was happily walked back. The area was nice and clean. My masseuse Shirley gave an awesome firm massage and focused on my knots. At the end of the massage she even used hot stones and a hot towel which was such a nice little added surprise. Had a terrific first experience and booked my next massage. Keep in mind they add credit card charges if you pay with a card. Cant wait for my next treatment!

The prices here are incredible & the location very convenient. Doesnt have the big spa feel but quaint enough to give you a relaxing environment. You will hear the street noise, since this is a small business, however in my opinion it didnt detract from the quality of my massage. This is Montclair, so if youre driving give yourself time to find parking.Went here for a 90min massage package including a 60 min pre natal and 30 min foot massage all for $75. Was my second time here. The first time was to get a 30 min foot massage with Amy, who did a great job. This time I met with Ada who did an amazing job. Her hands are magical and the massage was excellent from start to finish.The staff and the woman at the front desk do a great job ensuring you are pleased with your service and have a good experience. And they have a points card, that after 10 hours, you get a 1hr free massage! Give this place a try! Its worth it. Cash tips preferable. And when youre done relaxing, you can enjoy some brunch and shopping in downtown Montclair :)

Awesome spa of you just want to massage without frills I usually come here a few times a month for an hour massage. I highly recommend Shirley. I’ve tried other spas around the area and nothing compares. Getting massages are big part of my self-care routine and Mirage Spa is at a fairly affordable price.

I’m so glad I gave Mirage a try! I was greeted with a smile, they answered my questions, and it’s super clean! The room is dimly lit and soft, relaxing music is playing in the background. Perfect setting to unwind. Zoe really worked on the area I had specified and it helped a lot. She did a combination of Swedish and deep tissue to get the knots out of my upper back and shoulder area. It’s easier to move my neck and shoulder around after the massage. It was so good that I felt lightheaded when I first got up!!! Also, I couldn’t believe their affordable prices! I will definitely be visiting again. Thank you so much, you really helped the ache in my back. :)

Very easy to book an appointment. They have evening hours which is helpful. The staff is very polite and efficient. My massages are always very good here and I always leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. The prices are very reasonable.

Really really love this place! The reason I didn’t give the last star is that I wish their massage table sheets were hypoallergenic. I get the best massage by them but lately I’ve been leaving with the worst headache and recently with a minor rash on my forehead. The smell of chemicals was too strong. All hotels and professional massage places ONLY use hypoallergenic detergents. It’s standard, especially for sensitive skin, even though most people are effected by the artificial chemical smell additives to detergents. Please PLEASE change your detergent to hypoallergenic and no smell!!!! 🙏🏻 otherwise all these massage therapists are excellent! The space is so cool and clean. Love coming here and probably would come way more if it wasn’t for that issue above.

Average massage. Experience ruined by staff who ran after me on the street and demanded I add more tip. I will not be guilted to give you more money on the sidewalk for a service that I already paid for for AND tipped!! It’s at customer discretion and I tipped what I valued the service to be. After that bizarre exchange how do you expect customers to return?

Mirage Spa is my go-to place in Montclair, and there are ALOT of choices. I’ve been to expensive places, but Mirage Spa beats them all.Nice ambience and attentive service all for the best price. My fave service is the 60 minute massage plus 30 minute foot massage- so 90 minutes for $80!!!

I agree with Iriss comments below. I went for a 90 minute massage and felt worse when I left then when I came in. I dont know the masseuses name (short, middle- aged Asian woman) but I specifically requested light pressure at the start. Instead she went on to apply heavy pressure to the point that I was feeling pain at my shoulders even after I left and for a couple days afterward. There were times I was feeling agony while lying there because of the intensity. However the price rates are great and the place is clean but you get what you pay for.

Wow! What a great gem right in the heart of Montclair. Staff is super warm and friendly, the space is very clean and the massages are top-notch. Great prices, too. Will be back very soon!

Really cute place right on the main road in Montclair. It is a small shop, so you will hear the street at times. Masseurs were kind and respectful and did a great job. I got a couples massage for one hour. Prices are very reasonable.

OMG!! I have the best massage with Shirley she is phenomenal. Her massage is out of this world. If you need someone to go to please go to her. You tell her what you want and she gives it right to you.I love the pressure, she gives you a medium to the pressure.

A fairly new establishment in town that i will NOT recommend. I go and have a massage once a month so I have been to a lot of places over Jersey and New York. I decided to check out over the weekend since its within walking distance to my place. They were accommodating and the massage started good. But when she started massaging my lower back it was very painful. I told her to lessen the pressure but she just kept on massaging with the same pressure. It was VERY painful to the point I was hissing in pain. I asked her again to lessen the pressure but she just told me that it is okay, no pain no gain and preceded to continue massaging. She only stopped when I stood up and asked to massage my feet instead. After, she had the gall to tell me to go back to her next time and do a 90-minute massage.This is not how you treat clients!!!First these are not licensed medical masseuse or doctors who would know if something is happening inside the body. The moment, the client has asked to stop or lessen the pressure, they should be concern as they dont know whether there is an injury or nerve/spinal damage. Now, i have more backache and shooting pains than when I went there, and will probably have to go to the doctor to see what is going on.I suggest never to get a back massage from them ever! They maybe a good foot massage place but they will injure your body and would not care about your health.

Went for a foot massage. Ladies were pleasant. The massage rooms are across from the foot massage area and have curtains (not doors). Since this is located at the heart of downtown Montclair + no doors, you will likely hear conversations in the massage rooms. So I plan be back for more foot massages and “functional” back rubs to get knots out vs say a relaxing ambiance.

I am going there for my massage for about a year now. Very good and super affordable. The place is super clean and the personal is very friendly.
