The Stage on Broadway is hands down my favorite bar in Nashville. The atmosphere is fantastic, with live music that takes me back to the best of 90s country. The musicians are top-notch, making every visit memorable. The beer and drink prices are very reasonable, which is a huge plus. I always make it a point to bring my family and friends here when they visit, and it never disappoints. If youre looking for a great time on Broadway, The Stage is the place to be!
Female lead singer rudely insults staff of nearby bars as well as members of her own crowd. Not funny and not nice. Additionally, the house cabernet was the worst on the whole street. POSITIVE: The rest of the band members were great and their harmony songs awesome!
4/19/2023: This was 2nd favorite bar on Broadway. Met some fun people, the servers were great, the door guy let me borrow his charger (which I accidentally broke, but paid him for it - he was so nice - thanks, Josh!), the music was great and I love The Highway Men mural. This place has a framed picture that once hung in Waylon Jennings’ home, so being a huge WJ fan, I had to see it for myself! Loved this bar!!
Its got great live music and a super fun atmosphere! Just feels like Nashville.I dont drink, but Ive heard they serve a mean whiskey! 🥃 their BBQ nachos are a crowd favorite! 🤤
I got a fireball at the bar next door over and they charged the same amount for less alcohol and this place charged the same price for more alcohol THIS IS WHAT I LOVE. I liked the music! They ID at the door but there were kids in here so i dont know since its 4:10pm so 🤷 but they will ID and check your baf at the door. No bookbags allowed
I generally enjoyed visiting the stage . I am a local and bring most out of town friends here. However, I am a 52 year old professional woman who was sober but only with a picture ID. When I calmly challenged the front security and then the manager for not letting me in with my daughter’s bachelorette Party, the manager (a man) got physical with me and left bruises on me.
When my wife and I visited this club, it was a top-notch experience. Excellent band, great service, very good acoustics… During our visit to Nashville, the best club.
Love the venue, however did not like the band begging for money. Was there Saturday March 16 but left after the band walked up to customers 2 time in one set asking each individual for money. Felt they spent more time begging for money than playing music.
The band that night was apparently too good to play Beyonces Texas Holdem or Old Town Road by Lil Nas X even with a $40 tip. They actually scoffed at my Beyonce request. Girl is killing it on the Country Music charts, but ok. I wonder why the band refused to play it smh...
If I could give 0 stars I would. I went to this bar with my friends for her bachelorette party. I was the last of my friends to get in and was told by the bouncer that I could not get in due to being out of their dress code. I was never informed of what the dress code was and why I was not in the dress code. I asked if I could put a jacket on and then was told no and I was not allowed in. Another bouncer came over after and said he spoke with his boss and said it was okay for me to go in. I have never been more infuriated and embarrassed in my life. There were other people being let in wearing less than I was, yet I still was told I could not get in. Beyond disappointed and will never be returning again.
I’ve been coming to this beautiful city for years. But the front “security” guy, both long beard and African American guy decided they couldn’t let me in, meanwhile I’m sober but yet let an intoxicated person that couldn’t walk inside the bar in. By far the worst bar on broadway!!!So disappointed. Please get better door service.Worst people I’ve encountered with!!!!!
Orderd a drink that was told is no longer on the menu. He made it foe me and honestly it was probably one of the best tasting ones of them Ive had. They should offer this drink
The “bouncer” or admissions man is completely unprofessional and inappropriate. He physically intimidated my 53 year old mother clapping in her face and lunging towards her. The two other workers did not help at all when I explained that a man can’t physically intimidate a woman, and quite frankly they all seem incompetent. Overall, you shouldn’t be screaming at a woman, clapping your hands, and becoming volatile…complete lack of safety and professionalism.
They wouldn’t let us inside because I had a small backpack. I use it as a purse (to keep my wallet and phone in, because a single string purse hurts my back). Ridiculous. I asked if they allow shopping bags in - they said yes. I asked if I could put my small backpack in a shopping bag - no. Wow.
Yes it’s a touristy place to go, but if you are a tourist or entertaining someone from out of town I’d rather head to The Stage than fight the crowds in the bars with Country star’s names on them. I’ve gone to The Stage a few times now and have sat in all three of the bars, usually the rooftop. Every time I’ve been in there I have been impressed by the quality of the singers and bands playing there. The drinks are pretty fairly priced considering it’s on Broadway. You aren’t going to get draft beers upstairs but if you’re there to have a good time, you’ll find it there.
The stage on Broadway Nashville Tennessee 9/5/2021We saw a sign in an ally said back door , ok lets see what happens 👍It was the back door to the stage on Broadway Ok we go in, a band is playing, the crowd is having a good time , order drinks . So far so good ?Not really cant hear the band , they must of been bad because the crowd was yelling over the music . Never found out the name but it was time to move on .The duck is from the last bar.
We just like it when Cory Farley performs! He is such a good singer and a nice guy too! I wish him the best of the best
Place was fantastic. Band were amazing. Cocktails were great value. About 12 dollars which is great. Both two cocktails and it worked out at 24 dollars and they came in a big cupWent to the small bar and bought the same two cocktails, worked out at 25 dollars but came in a tiny cup.Left after thatGreat spot, great atmosphere and great bands
They could literally slap you with being « wobbly » just to deny entrance. They would not back off (had 0 drinks when I showed up).
A bit expensive on drinks but they were good! Good music!! And clean!
A wild and fun Saturday night in Nashville with great music and a wonderful crowd of people to party with. The partiers there even enjoyed those two old people in the crowd who could party right along with them. Oh to be young again, if only for a few hours! Amy picked the best bar on Broadway to PARTY at, one more time!
When I worked and lived in Nashville, we would always end our nights at The Stage- Mainly because we knew wed never leave once we were there. This place has a great atmosphere, tons of room, and classic music. Be prepared for a line, big crowds, a mix of music, and a bit of a wait to reach a bartender.
Watch out for the female bouncers. They talk big, but the moment you respond they kick you out bc you point out how they are wrong. Used to be a good classic country bar, but it’s not anymore. Visit nashville, but skip this bar. Her name is Jena and the rest of the bouncers know she is the problem. The moment someone responded to her abuse of patrons she just started kicking ppl out.
The service is great and I like the place but the live band they had playing had a Venmo QR code posted so the audience could request songs, and the amount to request a song auto filled to $20 per song request. That seemed pretty presumptuous for a cover band that doesnt have any of their own songs. I requested any Carrie Underwood song they might know. Rather than playing the song and enjoying the night, they opted to stop the music and deliberately call me out to mock me for picking a chicks song for a bunch of men to sing. Love the Stage but I will leave if this band gets on stage again. The band/artist was Nick Smith
Great music and vibe! They have charging spots by the bar too :P
Great bar however, the website schedule isn’t correct. Your marketing folks need to give correct info. We got there at 10::15 for the 10:30 show, but they didn’t start until 11. The door person said they always start at 11. So no music for 45 minutes. Not sure who updates their website but hopefully they will see this and make sure the schedule is correct! Wanted to share so others are disappointed. Once they started it was great!
Ding dang, yall! This place was a lot of fun. Cold beers, great music and a good mix in the crowd (young and not-so-young!). Didnt have any good, but bar service was lightning fast and friendly.I thought I had some photos to share. Maybe its best that I cant find them!
The bartenders in this place were very friendly and the band they had playing was good! There was a HORRIBLE smell that was coming from near or behind the bar towards the back of the room. We went down to get drinks and could hardly stand it. We moved upstairs and every once in a while the smell would come up there and it would make our stomachs turn. We stayed because we really liked the band but none of us ordered mixed drinks because the smell was sour and we didnt know what was causing it.
I loved this place but the bar tender Danielle made my night, a man made me uncomfortable and she helped me out made me feel very comfortable and safe! Also the singer Jordan was super sweet and so talented can’t recommend this place enough! Perfect crowd level go to the roof top!
Austin kept the drinks flowing and the service was perfect ! The pretzel sticks with beer cheese and Philly Cheese Steak was great and we had an awesome time seeing our favorite bang THREE LANE with my friend RK BROWN AND Matt Griffith and Jared Grey and Tim Hull!! We had a great night on Our BIRTHDAY!!
Nice bar in downtown Nashville. Didnt try any of the food, but a nice atmosphere to go hang out for a while. The upstairs bar and patio was cool and gives you a nice view of Broadway at night. Beers were also slightly cheaper here than at some of the other bars nearby.
Owner needs to get his people in check. My husband and I came in yesterday and went straight there to see our friend play. They kicked my husband out for who knows why. Still this morning we cant figure it out. I would avoid this place. Wayyyy more places that are better on Broadway and dont treat PAYING patrons horribly. We were spending lots there because we also were buying drinks for the band. Treated terribly. Dont recommend.
This is by far our favorite honky think and visit on repeat when we’re in town. We’ve tried them all but always, always end up back here. Fantastic bands and great bar tenders! Entire staff is really nice. Great crowd and fun atmosphere.
We had such a great time at the rooftop bar at The Stage. Everyone from the door guys, to bartenders, and the band were so friendly. We had our dogs with us and they also had fun. Super dog friendly.
I did not enjoy this place one bit. The security guard yelled at me because I had a lace bra with straps that we’re supposed to wrap around onto my waist. The bra was under my shirt and you could only see the part that was around my torso. He said that we have a dress code and that I shouldn’t be dressed like that in HIS bar. If it was that big of an issue they would have signs posted of their dress code. I was asked to leave within 20 mins of being there. Will not be back.
You can’t go to Nashville and not stop here. Multi floor bar. A different band on each level. Friendly staff. Under age allowed until evening.
If I could leave zero stars I would. The atmosphere was great loved it. What ruined it for me was my friend and I was hitting our vapes mind you there was no signage that stayed no smoking or Vaping in sight. And we had been hitting our vapes and stuff prior and four security guards just walked past us. Then one of the security had seen us with the vapes in hand not hitting them and comes over and proceeds to yell at us. “stop Vaping in MY bar”. What I didn’t understand is why he said that it was his bar. And I just wish he would have handled it differently and there was a woman that had asked who he was yelling at and he told her it was us. That was definitely not okay at all. We will not be back.
Lots of good energy right downtown on Broadway. Live music was great and the band interacted heavily with the crowd making it a good experience. Definitely revisit in the future and so should you.
2nd time on broadway , from Vegas ; Austin on Monday night August 15 he was so amazing! I just had a bad experience from another bar which I didn’t even remember the name (racist) but ausging treated me and my man so well!!! He is awesome sauce! Gave me an actual shot and acknowledged me! Was so attentive and also being a little tipsy and telling him about what I went through he listened even though he honestly didn’t need to! Busy Monday night and still cared and still took care of the customers! ❤️ he’s amazing! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nice bar, good band, great atmosphere, decent drinks. Nothing spectacular, but I wasnt overly disappointed.
Some bouncer didn’t let my friend in because her shirt was sheer. Not even three minutes later we watched a group of girls with tops were no more than bras and a girl with the EXACT SAME SHIRT as My friend get let in. Literally it’s Broadway….if you want to have a dress code at least make it a nice place with good drinks and good music. But if you’re going to keep this dress code, at least get a new bouncer who upholds the same rules for everyone and doesn’t pick and Choose which type of bodies he lets walk in the front door. This place sucks.
Nashville sucks. Except for The Stage. If you want to drink at Tootsies or Dirks joint, take out a 3rd mortgage first. The Stage will sell you beer for 20% less. The bands have talent, and won’t make your ears bleed. Volume is not compensation for lack of musical ability. 🤬
One of the workers here pulled my wife out of the bathroom by the collar aggressively thinking she was going to the wrong bathroom. This bar is LGTBQ friendly and will NEVER go back. The situation that happened was not okay. Management thought buying drinks for our group the rest of the night fixes it.
AMAZING BAND ON THE ROOFTOPOverall was very pleased and smiling the entire time. The staff was friendly and kind, however the band was really why I stayed the singers name was Valerie Lynn. 100% ask them back please :) The drinks were good not great but no complaints other than it being a little lacking in cleanliness. Don’t think drunk people really care about that too much anyway. Thanks to all staff for the wonderful experience
Bartenders were great, the bouncers were ridiculous though. One tried to kick me out for my wife helping the band get tips by taking their empty tip can around. He either didn’t like me or wanted to separate me from my wife. He got physical trying to push me out after I said we will leave without any issue as long as it’s with my wife. Long story short. He decided he would rather push me out the door which led to an altercation and ended up with cops being involved. At least the cops were reasonable, 5 minutes later I’m free to go on my way.I would avoid this place like the plague. I have been to nashville 3 times now and never came close to having an issue like this. There are far too many great places to go on or near Broadway to waste your time here.
We really enjoyed this place. Went up to the rooftop to sit outside and the bartenders were friendly, attentive and knew how to make a drink.
Great spot for a cocktail and live music!
3rd floor was spacious and cool. Had fun. Everything on Broadway is expensive. Tip the the talent, but dont pay for song requests. Over half the requests didnt get played.
You know when you head down to Broadway, a couple things are guaranteed which is awesome live music and tons of great options. We stopped into the stage and had such a blast, we didnt go anywhere else. Friendly, fun service at the downstairs bar, and an awesome band that did a lot of requests for us, and then we went upstairs for some great views of Broadway, more live music and good service
The bartender on the rooftop, Tammie, has been outstanding!! Her high volume bartending skills are extremely impressive. She is very attentive to a solo traveler like myself while dealing with a bar full of customers. Thank you for taking care of me! Next time I’m in town I will be back!
Do not go to this bar period! I was kicked out last night for being mistaken for a guy that was apparently causing trouble there one day earlier. My friends and I were trying to explain that we never even been there before but the AHole wouldnt listen. To anyone who reads this dont waste your time here and especially who manages the bar get your people in check!
This was the best place for music when we were in Nashville this weekend. I wish I could remember her name but she sang on the 3rd floor and she killed it. She was so good! The place was busy but wasn’t too bad for waiting for drinks. They have a balcony area which was nice. The drinks were good and we had fun!
Our favorite bar on Broadway. No particular reason, just had a great vibe. We visited multiple floors and loved the bands and staff on each. Also felt very safe with the amount of security they had.
A double Jack and Coke was $22 :’) I’m from the west coast and I was flooooored by this price. If you like economy drinking, ask what the price is before they pour it! But great music!
Visiting from San Antonio and so excited, everything great except the bartenders!! RUDEST I’ve ever encountered and when tried to speak to her about it she said and I quote you’ve had 5 rounds and if it was that bad you’d have left already 😳😳😳 WHATTTT and she said they have no manager🤦♀️ Someone should really teach them some hospitality!!! Will NEVER go back!! Sad really! The bartenders names are Tatiana & Rachel
One of my favorite bars we went to in Nashville. The entertainment was so fun, it was a lot chiller and everyone was having a good time. Drinks were good!
We were just at the stage tonight for my 50th birthday… the band was wonderful, the bartenders were friendly…. BUT we were enjoying the band, having great cocktails. And a security employee happened to stand in front of us blocking the band … we went up and asked him if he could step down one step so we could see and he turned and yelled in my face and “ I will just do my job somewhere else” i felt it was uncalled for an employee to yell in my face which was very intimidating for patron that made a simple request after being there for well over an hour enjoying the band!! Disappointed!!
I wish I could give 5 stars. the music was great, bartenders were awesome but the Bouncer was a royal a-hole. We were not out of hand or rude, so he had no justification. Explains why the place was so empty.
Sitting on the rooftop with the sunshine is a perfect way to spend the afternoon. Great acts performed throughout the day. Nice city views and big selection of booze. Didnt taste the food, but from what I smelled and saw, looked great. Friendly staff
Really nice staff. The place is dog friendly and gave us an option of rooftop or indoor live music. Drinks were tasty but expensive. We had a great time and took lots of scenic photos.
This was an awful experience. The bus boy/security guard was absolutely awful. If you want to sing or have any amount of fun do not attend this bar. The band was awful and we were trying to make the most of it by singing the few songs we knew and the security guy continuously came over to us and honestly harassed us. This was the worst experience at a bar I have ever had. No other bars had this type of atmosphere. Will be calling in a formal complaint. If you want to sit silently and do nothing at a bar except drink overpriced drinks then please go to this place. It was the worst experience ever.
SOO MUCH FUN!!! awesome band and beautiful venue. We spent the most time on the rooftop level and it was awesome. Clean bathrooms and western vibe. Felt cleaner and newer than many of the bars we had been in. And there was room to dance!
There was a female bartender that was just a rude human.., forget that she is a bartender and represents the front line of that establishment..! The owner needs to put certain ppl in a customer white glove service training.., now security.., especially this security guard that is African American no more than 5-7” and less than 200lbs was fantastic..!!!
Great environment with amazing live bands and music!!! Have so many varieties. Everyone is just great and the people are the friendliest!!! Everyone is there for a good time!!
Came into The stage with a morning cup of coffee. Added a shot of Baileys and enjoyed the music. The bass player made his own instrument from an old gas tank. Sorry do not remember your name. You felt one with the music. The Angry Canadian was on the steel guitar. The violin player also very talented! Nice job!! Enjoyed!!!
So disappointed that “security” turned away my friend because they thought that her REAL id was fake. I get that bars can turn away anyone for any reason, but if they refuse entry to someone because of their id specifically, yet don’t have a way to verify a real id other than just looking at it, they should have someone that can ACTUALLY identify a real id from a fake one. Stupid.
We had a great night here. Planned on stopping in for a drink or 2 but stayed for 3 hours. The band playing that night was awesome. It was packed but never had to wait for a drink. The bar tenders were very good. Large selection of drinks to choose from. Must visit here if in Nashville.
The bartenders and doormen are really nice folks. The beer is cold and reasonably priced. The bands that play there are EXCELLENT— world class talent and really cool crews stock that stage. The crowd is usually fun too. Go here!
This place is awesome! The bartender mixed my lemonade quickly! She used a real lemon and a sugar package instead of something from a store. Real Southern hospitality. The live band was fantastic and even though it was packed I had a good time! You have to be responsible and manage in the space you have when coming to touristy live music venues like this.
Music was good. Bartender was good. But cool day out and doors open. And heat wasnt on. Laylas bar front door open. But heat was on. Nice and comfy in Layla bar.
Great live music is always playing. If you dont like the band, come back in an hour. Drink prices are reasonable. No cover charge! Thats the best thing about all the bars in Nashville
Nice place, good beer prices, friendly service.I like more of the old school country music, most of Nashville seems to be more commercially driven. It was still a lot of fun though. The people were great!!
Great service and wonderful drinks. Bands on the second floor and roof who played great and took requests. Location is perfect along broadway. Their cocktails were made rapidly and were very flavorful (definitely witnessed a bartender give an extra splash of tequila in a drink i ordered). I would definitely return.
It was such a hot day and I was walking with my dog, and they let him come in to cool off! Everyone loved him and was so nice and the band player even got off the stage and came and gave him water! Definitely became one of my favorite bars down there 😍 thanks to such amazing staff!
This is my favorite place on Broadway! Plenty of room to accommodate our large group. The bands were awesome also! We for sure will be back!
This is my go to place. The music is always good and the drinks are reasonable for Nashville. It gets crowded but thats what makes it so good. They have great bands on the first floor and the others are good just different at times. I will continue to frequent.
Love love love this place! We had so much fun. The place was super busy but it had a home town bar feeling to it. We were there when Rickie Lee Taylor was playing and he is great!! He even personally sung Happy birthday to our friend Joy! This was our favorite place out of every where we went to!
Great band! And the coolest air conditioning in all of Broadway!😅 A super fun place with a good vibe!
Super nice bar and great music! Gosh the bar tender on the third story level last night was so rude from the minute we sat down. Talk about ruining the whole experience. You can have a nice place but the drinks were so watered down and the bar tender was awful. Won’t be going back
Yet another fantastic bar with great live music! Incredibly patriotic. Lively crowd with a well managed bar. Bar tenders were friendly and service was fast considering how many people were there. I would definitely come back again and recommend you check it out!
A very good experience, staff was nice, and bands were great! However, there is a “regular” who is an older guy. He went up to my friend (in our 20s he’s at youngest 45) grabbed her hands apart and then place his/her hands on her sides. She immediately told him to back off. Another girl saw it happen and mentioned it happened to here a few weeks ago too. After observation we saw him do it to multiple younger girls. Some drunk and not realizing the issue.
I really like this place. We started out our evening at at some of the other honky tonks on Broadway. Normally just have a drink an listen to a few songs by the band that was playing. After only a few minutes in the Stage, I knew this was where we were going to spend the majority of our time. The band was fantastic. Their selection of songs an the wide range of music that they covered was great. I will definitely lately be back an highly recommend the stage on Broadway to everyone wanting to relax an hear some good music
Great stage and good band. This place is mostly like the other places on Broadway. They do have a nice rooftop bar now. The location is pretty good, as its near the center of Broadway, yet not too close to be far away from Ubers. The drinks are over priced, of course ($9 for a whisky in 2019), but thats to be expected. Would go again.
A really fun place to grab a drink and listen to some live music. And Megan the bartender was about the sweetest and best bartender I have ever seen. I would absolutely recommend this place. The vibe is great, staff is outstanding, and the place is pretty cool. I will definitely come back.
This is a great, historic bar on Broadway. It can be very crowded at night. The music is great here any time of any day. The new rooftop is pretty cool spot, but all the bars are doing that now. I really recommend coming sometime during the day to seem really of the actual bar. Lot of great paintings on the wall. Dont forget about the back entrance to this and several bars right there.
We were up on the top level and watched a talented band clear out the dance floor with their “fun banter.” Shut up and play music! We don’t care about your stories. You’re not Bruce Springsteen with your diatribes. And don’t be pretentious when people request a song. I ain’t giving you a dime in your bucket for a chance that you’ll play a song I was just kinda hoping to hear.
Love this place! No trip to Broadway is complete without a visit here. Great music, atmosphere and staff! Over the years there have been many shiny additions to Broadway, but the Stage holds true to the honky tonk Nashville.
This is a great place for live music. Unlike a number of other bars along Broadway there is plenty of room in front fo the stage. If you want to get up and dance or sit back and listen to the amazing talent this is the bar for you.
Pretty great. Rooftop is awesome and line was non-existent even though other places had massive lines. There is a bar on the patio so dont wait in line at the main bar. Beer $6 which is reasonable in this area.
VISITORS BEWARE OF THIS BOUNCER. In late September this staff member inexplicably approached with demands to back up from the band and letting me know this is my bar. He was completely out of line, I am an older female and was not behaving in any way that would warrant this type of treatment. When I challenged he even shoved me (a female a fraction of his size) and then escorted me out. This place might be fun, but their staffing choices are poor at best. I dont know if this guy was on something other than his own imagined ego or what. I reported the issue twice but management was not interested. I hope no one has a similar experience but for now... youve been warned! There are many other finer stops in Nashville you should consider before visiting The Stage.
Well. Ive lived in Nashville since 2004 and the stage was always the go to spot if you didnt want to hear traditional country. That is - you didnt love country music but you loved the Nashville scene. I get that it is hard to describe, but if you spent a few minutes at Roberts, Tootsies, or Legends and you know that sound you would 100% appreciate the eclectic southern rock of The Stage. Sadly, they no longer cater to that crowd. (on the 1st floor). RIP.
Great atmosphere, the band was fantastic, plenty of room for dancing and had 3 floors including rooftop. The service keep up with the crowd and friendly. So much to do, but definitely check this one out.
Amazing place and with 4 different levels its not as crowded as some of the other bars. All levels have a full bar and different bands!! They advertised 3 floors but when going up to the roof top there was an acoustic performer on level 2.5. (I love little hideouts like that exspecally coming from a small town in Central Michigan.) The roof top is a must see! You can smoke, drink and dance at the same time all with friendly people. They also turn on the heaters on the deck when its cold so you can watch the busy city from above.
This is my first time in Nashville I’m so excited that I was able to see this on a Saturday night in the middle of summer and it was great the only issue I do have is all the freaking stairs to get to any rooftop bar. But it was definitely worth it and the music was great and the people were Having the times of their lives without a care in the world but there’s a lot of younger people that were just so belligerently drunk otherwise I had a great time.
We totally had a scary experience but the staff took care of it the best way they could. A young man bought my friend a drink and he immediately took it and looked to take a drink, but we are sure he spit something into it. He had a brand new beer of his own. My friend thinking this was weird called him out on it and did not drink the beer he had bought. He walked away because he knew we knew what was happening. We told the bartender who immediately threw it away and gave us a new beer at no charge, and told a bouncer. The boss then came down and assessed the situation and the young man who bought the drink saw what was happening and he left the bar. Even scarier, the young mans friends came over and tried to smooth things over and they left when they saw extra security around. Nick, Cedric and the awesome male bartender totally were on their game and made sure we were safe.
The Stage is hand down one of the best venues for county music in the nation. When you actually stop and look at the walls at all legends that have played there it is breathtaking. I have listened to amazing live music on a Tuesday afternoon, and I have listened to amazing music on a Saturday night. If you do not have fun at The Stage it is your own damn fault.
Great place for music and dancing. I think it was 4 floors of it each floor with its own vibe!
This place was PACKED. I had a great time here. It was a real concert in a small venue style experience. Issue being that they only have enough space between the bar and the crowd for about half a person. So people moving to the back or upstairs or even trying to get to the bar, its chaos. I had a treat time but I can understand people could have less fun here.
My husband and I went to multiple bars on Broadway checking out the music and having some drinks. By far, we enjoyed The Stage the most! Brandon Holder was singing, and he was great! I think well hear him on the radio before too long! He had a really good band!!
The girl at the door was so rude! She checked our purses and took our pepper spray, but never bothered to ask a man to lift his shirt to check for a gun or knife. We asked if we could get it back when we left 5 minutes later and she said no. How are single girls supposed to protect themselves in a crowded city where peoples’ inhibitions are dangerously inclined?! Shame on you!
We had a great time at The Stage while in Nashville. We went to four different levels of the bar and each had a different variety of live music. The staff were friendly and the bouncers were proactive when people were inebriated to the point of making others uncomfortable. The drink prices were reasonably priced. My only complaint is that on the upper level when people smoke out on the deck it wafts into the bar and can become overwhelming.
We returned to Nashville for a longer two week holiday following a previous flying visit. We availed ourselves of many of the Honkytonks on Broadway but The Stage was our most favourite of them all and by some distance! We found ourselves returning time and time again. The music and atmosphere were great and the staff were as friendly as could be. Our only regret is that its not closer as we frequently find ourselves wishing we could just pop in on a Friday or Saturday night! Scotlands just a bit far for that! 😜🎸🍺 We loved to sit in the corner of the balcony on the ground floor level as it offered a great view of the bands and all the action on the dance floor. Also loved the fact that ALL age groups clearly feel very at ease and welcome in the place, unlike some of the other places on Broadway. Well be back yall!!!
Spent most of our time at the Stage. Such a classic Nashville Bar. Enjoyed each level of the bar and was the most affordable option for alcohol our entire trip.
Great music. Real concert like atmosphere with lighting and effects. Bands are pretty much top notch for a bar scene. Drinks are a bit expensive but to be expected for the honky tonks. New upstairs bar with a nice outdoor Broadway view.
Fun, older place in Nashville, has that old time country and western music feel to it, where there was a good band playing and people were having fun dancing and laughing.Limited on cocktails and beers though, but I suppose that adds to the old time feel.Worth poking your head in for a drink
Loved it! Multiple levels and the music was more alt which was a nice switch up from all the country bars. Very fun
Wow! What a spot, oozing with charm and country character. Head here for a break from the kid rockers and 90s country music lovers. Busy but good fun!
The best venue Ive been to. Great music, great drinks and nice and cool in the oppressive heat. Bartender remembered everything, great place to fuel up.
Top location at the heart of Nashville, friendly atmosphere and great local music literally all day long. We met some great people there. Make sure to check out the rooftop. On a side note, although the local selection of bottled beers is decent, a few beers on tap would be a nice addition.
Amazing time was had here by our bachelor party group. Awesome music with many stages to choose from on each level. If you cant find a band here you dont like, you arent looking hard enough! Drinks are typical Nashville prices (think $7-8 for a mixed drink).
Fun Nashville music experience for first time or repeat visitors. Reasonably priced drink selection and friendly bar staff. Musical groups always seem to be on the higher end of talent here and produce crowd pleasing sets. Keep some tip money available for the band - its worth it!
The best place on Broadway! I went here every night we were out on our vacation. Just good drinks, and good music, and actual room to dance! The staff was friendly, including security. If you like pickle backs, have a dickle my pickle!
You must go there if you are into country music. Every famous country singer performed over there. Everyone had their start there. If you want to go line dancing and meet pretty people this is the spot. The alcohol is strong and my service was quick
Here is what I have figured out from this place. They purposely keep the line out the front door to draw the illusion that the business is packed. Once inside, it was far from being packed/slammed.I did have an overly attentive bartender that was towards the back. We listed to a band that was up on stage during 10 pm time. Needless to say, where the country music was, I have absolutely no idea. They came off stage and we waited the typical 40 minute change out time that all of Broadway takes from 1 band to another band. I did manage to go upstairs and observe what was going on the roof top portion of it. I did notice, it was slightly more busier up there, but you were still able to move around without issue. Stayed up there, listed for a few songs, until the band thought it was a good idea to play Back Street Boys music. Came back down stairs and observed they were playing music, but someone forgot to include a fiddle player in there set. The music was truly all over the lot and not sticking with one type of music. It has been a while since I visited this bar and it will probably be a while again. Can someone please let the bands know that they are in Nashville, a country market, and not a Pop 40 market?
Biggest shoutout in my life to security here. Had a slight situation and Mike handled everything so professionally. We were going to leave after the scare but the way he quickly and efficiently handled the situation made us immediately feel so safe in a foreign city bar. As a native New Yorker who grew up going to large nightclubs and a current bartender in a large high volume bar in Key West myself, I was so encouraged by Mike’s presence. What a rare gem! Will return and send anyone this way just knowing our safety concerns are listened to and addressed appropriately.
One of my favorite bars on Broadway. They have 2 floors of live music and the bands are always good with variety. Drinks are strong and bartenders are fast. They have a big dance floor on both floors so you can get your groove on.
Well how do u say discrimination? My husband is blind in one eye and couldnt get in last night. Wes cooke band was playing. Wow. His family has stayed at our house. We have spent thousands on Broadway and tipping bands. No more for me. My money will go to people who want my business. I will also be filing a discrimination case against them. My poor blind husband who is doing millions of dollars of business helping Nashville out if its scum looking city. After spending five years there it certainly looks better. Not because of the stage or Wes cooke. Because businesses out money into that city. Healthcare companies grew. Not Broadway. Not the stage and the family that owns many of the looser bars there. If u go. Dont ask for wine. They dont even know what that is. Lots of dirty places too. Take your sanitize wipes. I would be surprised if the stage even cleans once a week. It is Soooo dirty. Nice stage. Dont let blind people into your dirt. No wonder when I was there last time it was empty. I and my husband will not spend our money and generous tips at the stage again. Only a blind person would go. We went to support Wes cooke but that wont happen again.
Favorite bar in Nashville Chris weaver band could not miss, incredible band, great vibes.
Music was decent atmosphere was as expected. Bartender was very nice and friendly. The bouncer ruined my ID by checking it for 5 minutes, bending it so much and picking at it to see if it was a fake. He separated the protective film on the middle of it. Now Ill need a new one.. thanks.. BMV is were I want to go..
Loved the rooftop band and outdoor space. Bartender was very personable, but not aggressive. We had a great time - had room to do a little jitterbugging too!
Awesome place! In my opinion, I would rather come here earlier rather than late night, I like listening to the bands. You never know who will be playing. Later in the evening it gets so crowded its hard to move and bar service is slow if its crowded or not. Overall, great place.
Band (Lefty and The Right Hand Band) was amazing. Bartenders were fine. Jerk at the door was awful. My group had no trouble, but watched him solicit only young pretty girls and be short or curt with others. Not helpful at all when asked questions. Just not the guy to be the face of a business.
