Foundation Room New Orleans

I had an amazing time here for my birthday! The door man Alex and the hostess Leslie were so attentive to us and made it such a memorable experience! The food, drinks, music and ambiance exceeded my expectations. Definitely would refer for anyone in the city to visit while there.

We find the Foundation Room is a nice break from the constant party atmosphere that can sometimes be The House of Blues. The private dining room and separate seating areas are very nice. Not always but often there is entertainment and the staff are dedicated to this one area. We find it nice for meeting with friends for a meal or just wine or cocktails

A must visit restaurant and lounge in New Orleans, the atmosphere and decor was a unique speak-easy experience from start to finish. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. Alex at the front made us feel welcome and made this restaurant feel more like an exclusive experience between old connections we didnt have. Rachel also went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Food was fantastic, I recommend the beef tartare.

The food and atmosphere of the Foundation Room was amazing. We had such an amazing time. I think this is such a hidden gem, at least for visitors/tourists. Everyone we came in contact with was amazing and the live music definitely elevated our experience. 10/10. And a special thanks to Alex, who went above and beyond for us.

Shoutout to Alex that worked the door at the Foundation room! We talked to him and he showed us the best hospitality in the city! Thank you for the tickets to the Rebirth brass band show on 4/25!!

This is a must go!!! The theming and design is absolutely stunning at this HOB location and very much an old New Orleans Jazz vibe. Great for a romantic stop for drinks and music. Natasha who works in the box office took absolutely amazing care of us. She and her team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and share a lot of the history of this location with us. She made our entire night and well revisit it every time we are in New Orleans.

Almost like a speakeasy, you have to ride an elevator hidden behind a Stair case to enter the foundation room. The bouncer checks you in and you head on up. Once there, you walk down a long hallway to find a lounge with great atmosphere, live DJ and full bar. There was an attached restaurant for dinner if you felt like grabbing a bite.

Had the best time in NOLA. The meat was perfectly cooked. We ordered crab cakes and chicken tikka skewers. The crab cakes just melted in the mouth. The fries were fantastic, we just stuffed ourselves with fries.The drinks werent the best we had. Would have been a 5 star experience if the drinks complimented the food.

There’s so many good places in New Orleans to choose from and this is not one. I do have to say that the staff was very supportive after the fact. Sorry to say, I would never recommend this place to eat. The atmosphere was beautiful.

The decor was eclectic but very cool. We had truffle fries, Lollipop Chicken and crab cakes. All of the food was amazing. The bartender was on point my Old Fashioned was perfect. The street emptied and our server was quickly overwhelmed. Needed more servers for the French Quarter Fest.

This is THE place for an upscale adult experience. I was greeted with a glass of champagne. You have to make reservations as they do not let anyone in. Dress code enforced! It also boasts an elegant dining room. Check it out before a show in the music hall!

The team that took care of us since we walked in was very professional and very friendly. The food was great and the waitress was beautiful inside out. I really recommend this place if you want a special and different experience.

The Foundation Room is a unique animal so its not really fair to rank it as I would other restaurants. Unfortunately its never really bounced back from covid and Hurricane Ida damage. The food often feels phoned in (stale bread & old nuts on charcuterie plate, etc) and the service & attention to detail just do not rise to the level of fine dining although the prices certainly set the expectation for a fine dining experience. I want to love it because I know the intention is there but at the end of the day they could do better.

Stopped in for cocktails and enjoyed the drinks, service and furnishings.

Its a vibe!!! The guy at the door on 2/24 was really pleasant (didnt get his name). Offered to take our photo and escorted us upstairs to ensure we were taken care of! Food was eclectic, decor was cozy, and music was good too. Would definitely return on my next trip.

This place is a hidden gem. All the patrons are locals, and understandably so. The drinks are strong, food is delicious- reasonably priced for the flavor profile, the staff is pleasant, and the atmosphere is charming with a twist. A live band too! 10/10 recommend.

Our server felt it was her anniversary and birthday, as she literally stayed at our table for 10 minutes at a time. She forgot my beer and then walked out, hung out outside, and smoked cigarettes in front before of Restaurant.

When I say we had a great experience, I mean it! We called because we arent members to make sure we could get a reservation and that was no issue! I found the place easily. It does have an exclusive feel because theres a very nice man who buzzed us in then let us on the elevator up. The ambiance is 11/10. The second host gave us some champagne because it is our honeymoon! We sat in the lounge for a minute to listen to some music. Then we had a romantic booth and two great servers who really made it even more pleasant. Then there was the food! I stuffed myself because I just had to keep tasting that pork chop! So juicy! Recommend every second especially for a special occasion.

As a restaurant, its not really my cup of tea. As a concert venue, its the cats pajamas. Its one of my favorites in the city; clean bathrooms, it doesnt smell like an ashtray, security is present but not overbearing, and its big enough for a national act but not so big that the openers look silly. Cant wait to go again!

Attended a company party at the Foundation Room and it was wonderful. The service at the bar was exceptional and they handle a busy crowd with ease. The food was delicious, especially the pork spare ribs. If you get the chance to go you should definitely enjoy the experience! :D

Come here for rock start treatment! Been here a few times and it never disappoints. Awesome food and the ambiance is very eclectic.

I had won tickets at a fundraiser to a night at the Foundation Room and a show at the HOB. Unfortunately, I lost my tickets!Fortunately, I had proof of the purchase, and the host, Sybil, was amazing at helping me out that night. Not only is this venue unique, but the staff in this room really treats it like a true VIP experience.Thank you so much!

Very cool get hidden in the French Quarter. Service is amazing. Cocktails were creative and taste good. The duck I had was awesome and my friends all enjoy their meals.

No DJ...the ambience was nice and cozy that is a 4 star but people need to live musics to top off the drinks. This private bar thing and that you have to be a member not good. It need to be open up to the public yes with some restrictions...it was dead all night .I left after 35 minutes

HOB, one of the best venues for live music. They used to have great shows CONSTANTLY. Now its a little more hit and miss. But it is a great place when your favorite act turns up.

Im giving this is a five and taking one star off for service that was a little weird. Five because the food and the atmosphere were so amazing. You really have to go to this place, especially if you appreciate a deep luxurious 19th century fantasy feel, or goth with color. And food is some of the most delicious food Ive had at a restaurant, and I eat out a lot. But as I said the service was a little weird. The server put his hand on my shoulder, which I didnt appreciate. He left the check in front of my date, and then after I gave him my credit card, gave it back to her to sign. Maybe he thought he saw a reason to do those things, but I didnt like it, and I ruminated about it afterwards, when I should have been thinking about the meal itself.

Swanky lounge, great for pre party or post party at House of Blues concert. It has its own live music, and private balcony for watching the main concert. This place used to require an expensive membership

After exploring the city for a week I found this hidden gem. The food and atmosphere were amazing.

Foundation rooms are generally pretty cool and the New Orleans location is no exception. But the old blonde bartender here is always a bit rude and persnickety... & I mean for like 6 or 7 times.

Foundation room is always an uplifting experience. The staff is highly professional the bartenders are on point. One thing for sure is the shows never disappoint !

This beautifully decorated lounge has the sophistication of Versailles rolled into one room. This place is for the beautiful and tredy.
