It was pretty rowdy and upfront here...middle of mardis gras. Staff were working it hard.This is a bar for solid drinking and fun as an out of towner.Loved the sign outside a lot.

Great local hangout . Have not been in here since I moved. It’s got such a great vibe. The box springs on the ceiling with the Mardi Gras beeds hanging really add a groovy charm that you won’t find anywhere else . I think this is where I heard Van Morrison’s Moondance on the jukebox for the first time and almost every time I would go . It’s one of my favorite songs to dance to. Service is great and it can get busy during Mardi Gras . it’s a great place to get together with friends for during the holidays. They have a pool table in the front and the back for those who want to shoot some pool.

We enjoyed this little bar for a couple of hours. Drink prices are good, decor is definitely awesome with lots of local character. Bartender and owner are good to chat with. Not very busy, but that was fine.

Great bar! Friendly and attentive staff, great jukebox, pool tables & atmosphere ! Very New Orleans kinda feel with all the sparkly decorations on the ceiling! Plus Uriah the bartender is reeeealllly good at making margaritas!

Members of my family and I were staying at the nearby Columns Hotel for a wedding. The following day we all took a walk and ducked into the Mayfair. Had a great time. The place is made for hanging with family and friends. When in the neighborhood you should duck in@

Used to hang out in the Mayfair thirty years ago when I was a college student. It is almost in a time warp: same Christmas lights over the bar, same pool tables, same crowd watching Jeopardy. A great place to enjoy a drink and adult conversation, a neighborhood place to socialize.

In light of my trip to New Orleans this year and last year, I wanted to rate this place. Friends of mine that call NOLA their home, bring me here every time I visit. It just has this cool vibe that lets people relax and converse. Drinks are reasonably priced to cheap, perfect!Perfect place to just chill, play pool, and drink

RIP Miss Gertie! The Mayfair is a unique little jewel in the Touro neighborhood and always a great place to end the night.

Definitely a spot to stop if youre visiting or just need a drink...so much history 😂 and the service is amazing!!!

Great place for locals and and great place for ppl that are unfortunately living in the hospital with their loved ones. I am the latter and felt I totally welcome every time Ive gone and hung out with all the locals. Thank you for taking me in and giving me a few hours break of sanity while Im dealing with such difficult things at the hospital. Great little get away to give me a break from full time care at touro.

Went with friend Bill Humphreys twice in two days. Not sorry. Great atmosphere. charming staff. Alaina is a true gem of a Bar Mistress. Well and Ill be back soon and regularly.

Used to go a lot in the late 80s early 90s. Didnt see Ms. Gertie, but had a good time 2 days in a row! And, Andrew was a real treat to meet!

One of the best everyday bars in New Orleans. I love the bartenders and its an easy location. Take the street car and get off at Amelia.

Been coming here for decades and a great local dive if youre uptown. Can get busy later in the night but definitely in my rotation of local bars.

Five stars for the best no frill neighborhood bar. Classic watering hole. Cash only. ATM on site. As is a photo booth! Fun.

Complete throwback. Not changed since it opened. Chill spot to have a beer or shot. Bring cash. No cards. They do have an atm.

I find this place incredibly charming. Seems like a perfect New Orleans neighborhood bar.

I walked in and they had Nickelback playing on the Jukebox. If youre a basic scrub with no personality this is your kind of place.
