We always have a wonderful experience here at the tasting room. Wonderful wine selections and the food is amazing. The cheese board is a MUST order. The staff is so friendly and Chef Alex is a professional with a passion for delicious food. He was kind enough to explain our boards and check up on us after our meal. I recommend you check out there happy hour or stop in for a drink.
We were visiting from Ohio and had a date night here!! ASK FOR STEVEN. He was so personable, gave us descriptions of the items on the menu, especially the wine. He talked with us. Made us feel like a priority during our reservation. 10/10 recommend. The food was soooooo good & the wine was even better. We sat outside in the back where they have heaters. It was a fairly colder day in NOLA so it was a perfect accommodation for guests wanting to be half outside!
Wow! Noelle the bartender was fantastic….not only did she create amazing cocktails but she made suggestions for the rest of our vacation that were awesome!!! JJ the chef was superb and between the food and cocktails I can’t recommend them enough….cant wait to go back!
Noelle was absolutely amazing and her cocktails as excellent!! Definitely going back for the service alone as they were fantastic. Everything was amazing 10/10 recommend
Food is great! Outside seating is dog-friendly. Plenty of drink options including beer, wine, and cocktails. Cocktails were fresh but we’d give them a 4/5 overall; ratios and flavors were just a little off. Would have liked to give more stars but the staff can make or break your experience depending on who you get… while most were super friendly and knowledgeable, others were rude, slow, and not helpful at all when we asked for recommendations. We felt like we were bothering some of the workers just by being there.
Loved this place! Very classy and great vibes. Cocktails and food were very tasty, place is very cool for Instagram photos and environment was very relaxing. “Cheese Board” 🧀, “Meatballs Carbonara”, “Chocolate Pot Au Creme Garnished with fresh berries” and a Chiffonade of mint and a delicious whiskey cocktail “Sazerac”.
Drag queens- i recommend you pick a different venue to preform at. They had us sit on the patio and it had one small heater that doesn’t point at any of the tables, so it was freezing. The performance didn’t start until an hour after it was supposed to. The food didn’t come out for an hour and a half and when it did come it finally came out was lukewarm. They were clearly understaffed and the poor manager was doing everything himself, including help cooking. The owner was there and we asked for another heater and he said he would check if they could move us inside but then he just sat at a table next to us and never ended up checking or following up with us. The owner sat at a table on his phone while his understaffed team worked extremely hard to appease the customers. The performers were nice and good sports but they were mostly performing inside so we could barely see any of it. The performers were great but it’s hard to get enthusiasm from a crowd of people who are cold and hungry. Disappointing and not worth the money.
This place is outstanding, across the board! I had a glass of Decoy cabernet 👌🏽 We started with the steak board.. prime cut wagyu deliciousness and an order of the fries that came with this amazing fondue and house made ketchup! YUM. Next, we tried the fried asparagus and smoked salmon.. both of which had explosive, mouth-watering flavor profiles! 🤤 We loved it so much we went for round 2 of the smoked salmon and left there completely satisfied. The chef and bartender were both very helpful and kind! We will definitely be back soon! 😊
I enjoyed this place a lot. The bartenders were kind and friendly, which made us feel very welcomed. Generous pours and the cheese and charcuterie boards were DELISH!! The chef brought out a taste of some of the most amazing gouda I’ve ever had. Oh, and just so happened to be ladies night.. win win win! Definitely recommend.
Service was good. Brunch was very overpriced with small portions that were ok. I’d recommend other spots for brunch in the city.Edit to add: Correct, I am not a fan of a $12 dish that consist of four stalks of asparagus, one egg, and a small pile of minced bacon. In my experience, having frequented many other elevated brunch establishments in NOLA, this price for the quantity and the quality (flavor was ok, not remarkable) was not something I would want to purchase going forward. Bottomless Mimosas were bottomless, that was appreciated. But there are other bottomless options that dont come near the ~$30 mark here. [Also pictured, $18 french bread plate, tough bread, not very fresh.] Thanks for your reply.
This restaurant is amazing Gabby the bartender is amazing ask for her!!!! I came to New Orleans for the very 1st time and I cant wait to come back the best hospitality great food great service great drinks I cannot wait to come back here every single time that I am a New Orleans this is the place to come have a great time of your friends families socialised and just feel completely loved the chefs food beyond amazing im mad I didnt get the chefs name over the top.!!!!
What a wonderful overall dining experience! The ambience is fun and inviting along with the staff. The craft cocktails were exceptional. The food was fresh, tasty, and presented in a beautiful manner. Will definitely be back!
EDIT after response from owner:If Blaming the Customer were a competition, youd win big. If Making Excuse after Excuse were a sport, youd have back-to-back championships.Get your facts straight too before you spread your drivel. If youre the owner, you could have come talk to us to address this then and there; that didnt happen...full stop.We made a RESERVATION for 12, the table was set for 12, so intimating that we morphed from 5 to 12 is patently false. We issued a glowing review for the restaurant down the street who got us out of the jam of YOUR making.Use your head next time before you mount your soapbox to spout a blame game full of excuses and mischaracterizations._______________________Worst dining experience in my life. One person to cook with nothing even remotely prepared and ready to go. Was there for nearly 2 hours with almost no food out. Had to cancel all orders in kitchen and leave to go find another restaurant for our team and clients. Fortunately ANY other place would have been better. Never, ever in the history of dining have I seen slower service. It was almost as though it wasnt even a restaurant. It couldnt operate as such, so shouldnt bill itself as such.Should have left MUCH sooner versus the colossal waste of time ...and $500.
Recently had my Birthday dinner here, and when I tell you, the customer service was just SO amazing! They didn’t have a big menu selection which was expected because I think this more of a spot for drinks; but they were out of the things I wanted and instead they gave me truffle fries free of charge. They showed some birthday love and gave me and my table a HUGE alcoholic drink to all share, also free of charge. Received so many compliments and hand shake. I felt like a super star at this place. They were so welcoming and so nice! The place sis a vibe , especially with the lighting and the awesome art works! Thank you for making my birthday, a great experience! I definitely will come back one day!
I had made a reservation for my sisters birthday celebration at this restaurant for 4 people last month. Despite booking a table online, receiving email confirmation, and several text reminders the day of the reservation, I was immensely disappointed upon our arrival to find the restaurant closed. This unexpected closure cast a shadow over what was meant to be a joyous occasion.I am utterly shocked at the lack of alignment between the online reservation system and the operational status of the restaurant. It was completely disappointing & my sisters birthday plans had been watered down. We were completely thrown off by this entire situation & honestly frustrated because this was a bday trip as we are not from New Orleans. Shocking & disheartening I am completely dissatisfied with the way bookings are handled & how misleading the online services are regarding this restaurant.EDIT: Considering my recent interaction with the establishment owner through email, it is with my utmost displeasure to express that the individual I encountered was unhelpful, very rude, and exhibited a dishonourable demeanour. This speaks volumes about the concerning culture at this place. Their inquiry, Serious question, what would you like to be done? We will do it. I’ll tell you that you won this argument. Will that be sufficient? exudes an air of immaturity, resembling the behaviour of a petulant child rather than that of a professional responding to valid concerns. Expressing valid concerns with them felt akin to engaging with a child, lacking the maturity and clarity one would expect in a professional setting. Well, this experience highlights the urgent need for management training, sensitive customer service training, and equality training at this establishment.
What a neat place! We are new here and havent been to a ton of places. But the drinks were great, and the Giant Charcuterie board was good (definitely needs more cheese and bread, though, so request that). We also had the truffle fries and Brussel Sprouts. Truffle fries were the best I have ever had, and Im a truffle fanatic. Brussel sprouts were perfectly cooked, and the dipping sauce was primo. The atmosphere was just perfect for drinks and food. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Make sure to set aside at least 2 hours for the full experience!!!!
I was so disappointed in my experience at The Tasting Room New Orleans. I had high hopes after reading reviews and speaking with the manager twice to confirm my (large) partys reservation. However, upon arrival, we were seated on the outdoor patio, which is really just a back alleyway to the kitchen with a moldy canopy covering it.With a party of 10, I expected that the food would take extra time, but after an hour of waiting and receiving our meals at all different times it was difficult to enjoy. The food itself was flavorless and the options were nothing special. We were so excited to see the drag show, but on the back, patio we could only see the show as the queens choose to come outside (rarely) and we could not see any of the rest of the show. This was especially disappointing as we paid for tickets to see this show. Coupled with technical difficulties (microphones and music), the drag show was NOT worth the ticket fee. This is nothing against the drag queens themselves, who were personable and fun.Our server did a good job - the negative experience was not a reflection of her service.Overall, I do not recommend this restaurant. I was embarrassed having planned my best friends bachelorette party here.If you are looking for a brunch reservation, look elsewhere.
What an experience!!! The only reason I gave it four stars is because I was not impressed with the food there at all. But if i could just rate the service, and add more stars, it would be a 10!!!!! Queen Mesa was absolutely phenomenal when it comes to customer service and how personable she is with the customers. She turned this outing into the best time I’ve had in a very long time!! These queens really need other means of tipping though, because they definitely deserve it and this place makes it hard. Queen Mesa, keep it up girl, your going places with that look and personality that you have!!! Muah!!! Can’t wait to see you all again!!
We enjoy coming here for happy hour and the daily specials. Staff are friendly and will chat with you if you sit at the bar. Food is good as well.
Overly expensive for no reason. You pay a gratuity for tickets and then you pay extra gratuity for food that really isn’t good. Our whole party of 8 had burnt toast, poor service and we were told several menu items on their already small selection were unavailable. The queens were great but their stellar performances could not outshine the outrageously subpar service and extravagant prices. We left early and were super disappointed.
Fantastic cocktail menu and even better bourbon and tequila lists. Good vodkas and decent beers too. Service was terrific. Chic spot with a really great atmosphere and the service was wonderful. Loved my experience!
This place is so cute and nice and the food and drinks are delicious!!! Went and got family style food to share with the table and couldnt complain about one thing. Our server was Rachel and she was the best ever! Very attentive. The service was great down to being greeted at the door to the server and the food runners. 10/10 recommend and will be going back!!!!!
This bar is absolutely beautiful. J.J. was incredible and so accommodating. The drinks are phenomenal with amazing selection. Don’t miss this place!
We loved The Tasting Room so much, that we went two nights back to back. While the food and drinks are worth going for itself (we loved the burrata the most) we loved the people we met that work there. Wonderful people like Stephen, Armond, and Edge, all made us feel comfortable and at home at The Tasting Room. This is a place I see us returning to just about every New Orleans visit! It it a must visit for all!
Had my birthday here tonight. First off they have a ladies night on Thursday which is awesome. We had Vinny as our bartender and he had a wonderful sense of humor and served us all night. The reno did them good. The atmosphere is a cool vibe to have a dinner and drinks. Randall, Kendall, and Armando are too notch! You want a spot to take your ladies and have good food and drinks, this is the spot!!!
Great atmosphere, lovely wine and amazing food!!!! It was a crowded night and there was a mix up that caused a lot of waiting on our behalf-but what I liked most? They acknowledged their mistake, apologized and the chef even came out and apologized and made us this great dessert!! People make mistakes, but it takes a GREAT place and great people to recognize their mistake and apologize. So many businesses forget this and this is what makes the strong ones survive. 😊. When you go, get the grill cheese and fries. Wow, just wow!
Wow! What a trip! Just got back home from my trip to New Orleans over the NYE weekend, I can honestly say this place and bartender Shawna was the icing on the top for this trip! Her bubbly personality and knowledge on where to go when to make my trip even better was priceless! You cant find a bartender like her! Blessed to meet her! She made me an authentic whiskey sour with the egg froth! a perfect accent to the steak that was cooked to perfection. Definitely would give 6 stars if I could!
Purchased tickets to their drag brunch this past weekend. Please be advised that the $35 ticket does not include any meal or drinks. It was a bit misleading based on the poster for the event. Had reservations for 3 people to sit inside but were initially seated outside. Asked to be moved, ended up seated at the bar, which just felt awkward conversation wise. So we requested to be seated somewhere else and they were able to accommodate us, though I didnt see why we werent seated there to begin with. Menu for brunch was extremely limited. For a place in New Orleans, a city known for seafood, they had no seafood dishes on the menu. All three of us ended up getting French toast with an egg on the side. When the food arrived, portions were quite small. Despite asking for eggs to be cooked over-hard, all of our eggs were runny and had to be sent back to be re-done. I had to ask three people to refill my water and ended up just going to the bar with my cup to find some. Service was sub-par. Dont see myself going back. Overpriced and not worth it. Drag show was so-so.
Used to love this place; was excited about it reopening and went with a few friends today. Wine selection still good. Only mildly disappointed that truffle fries aren’t on the menu anymore. Appetizers and small plates still looks good. Our bartender/server was totally hostile, though. In short, she freaked out when dealing with me and my friends... because people had been asking her about the truffle fries that the restaurant used to have before the remodel. As if regulars are supposed to know that it’s under totally new management. Completely unprofessional and offputting. She stormed away from our table when we were in the middle of asking about a few things, without explanation. When she returned, she said something like “what’s on the menu is what we have” and stormed off again. It’s going to be hard to forget about that anytime soon.
This was a really nice and laid back place. Its a great place for a day date, couples date, or just to hangout with some friends and catch up. They had a limited menu because the head chef was out sick. They only had 1 server when we went, but she handled the whole place like a professional. Wish they had a place like this where Im from.
The Tasting Room is a wonderful place for any occasion! The ambience is classy and fun. The shrimp pasta and fried chicken dish were both phenomenal. They also accommodate every alcohol preference with plenty of options to choose from. I always have a great time here!!
About as disastrous of an experience as possible. Extremely long waits, bad food, horribly incompetent and/or extremely drunk servers. About an hour after we ordered, we saw the manager (who may also have been the cook) scramble in with a huge bag of frozen chicken...and then another of frozen hamburger patties. I guess they didnt have anything to cook when we ordered...?Just dont go here...it sucks. And for the inevitable response from the restaurant, yes, we talked to the manager about all of our issues for the 3 hours we were stuck there.
Shout out to Shana and the newest member Kevin. For the awesome service. Both were very personable and made great drinks. The Buffalo trace old fashion was out of this world. The charcuterie board was A1. No complaints here.
Great vibes and the happy hour specials are awesome too. Love the bar tenders there as well. If youre looking for a local, classy place to get a fantastic cocktail this is the spot!
Such an amazing, relaxing atmosphere. The perfect combination of fine wine and delectable food with the best service you could ask for. Absolutely astonished as soon as I walked in the door. Black and white movies projected in the courtyard makes for such a great ambiance when the weather is fitting. Great neighborhood, great establishment - highly recommend.
Wonderful little gem hidden on Magazine st. Amazing wine selectionn and their cheese plate is the best deal Ive seen in New Orleans. We mentioned it was my husbands birthday the next day, and they gave us a very generous sample of their Paella which was delicious. Awesome service and beautiful space. Definitely worth a visit.
The menue online isnt what they serve at all. The meat tray was large chunks of tough meat. The fried asparagus was good but the tough chewy bottoms were not removed & the Chef looked like a homeless person. The court yard was cold & so dark u couldnt see your food. Over all worst experience ever.
The servers were pretty lost, overpriced food, wait for more than an hour and we were the second table, was pretty empty. The orders were delivered with and awfull delay. Ive been in the food industry for 20yr, my recommendation would be to train a lot harder, hired experts in cooking, and improve the ingredients of the menu. Need a lot to do! But at the end everything can be improved!
Really fun atmosphere with delicious cheese boards and wine flights. The only con we experienced was that they were packed and they were understaffed so we went for long periods without being able to refill our drinks or order food. Definitely no fault of the waitress who was extremely helpful.
Last night was mine and a friends first time dining here and everything was AMAZING. Vince our server was the most helpful with our wine selection. Ill definitely be telling my friends about this spot.
Went after Saint Patricks Mardi Gras place was packed limited menu.. But let me tell you the chicken sandwich that Chef Alex created is to die for. One of the best chicken sandwiches Ive ever had.. Kevin was our server he was outstanding and took great care of us
Simply fantastic. Best meal we had in New Orleans. We accidentally stumbled on this little neighborhood gem. Chef Antonio is truly unbelievable. The heirloom roasted cauliflower was over the top. The puttanesca sauce over mussels was so good we actually used a spoon to drink it up then the red fish entree was simply amazing. Lots of shrimp and just all around goodness. Clean eating with a chef that just gets it. Staff was so nice. Can’t wait to go back.
So... Beyond the fact that the waitstaff acted like we were a nuisance by actually ordering anything, the food was incredibly over-priced AND the portions were downright minuscule (almost cartoonishly small). And Im happy to spend my money on good booze, but $77 for just 2 shots of top-shelf tequila?! I suppose they were wise to fleece me the first time, because thats the last dollar Ill be spending there...
My friends and I have frequented the Tasting Room a good bit in the last 3 or so years. I always enjoy the atmosphere and we always make friends with the bartenders. Great selection of cheese/charcuterie on the boards.
Went here this past Friday, November 29th, 2021, and I should have known when a Restaurant is totally empty, something isnt right. The food was horrible, and on top of it all, the server forgot to give me my credit card back, and used it several places. So if you decide to eat here, BRING cash because your credit card will be in use. Also, they charged us gratuity just for a party of 3, absurd. I just reside down the street, but never again. Ill continue to pass the word along in my condo, to not eat here at all, and the credit card fraud!!!
This used to be one of my go- to spots, atleast once a week up until last night. I had a party of 3, we didn’t have a reservation and had to sit outside. Which was no biggie, they were extremely full to the point they had no seating available. I ordered the Santa Margherita Prosecco 375 mL which was supposed to be $32 and a cheeseboard. It took over 30 minutes to get our glasses of wine. Then over 45 minutes later we eventually got our cheese board. We were not checked up on. I could tell the waitress get sorry and gave us a “shot on the house.” During our 2 hours of being there, there was an altercation with males who were intoxicated in the restaurant. That caused physical violence and severe injuries. As i screamed call 911, the owner or “management” started to come up to me, making me feel very uncomfortable and started stating that he was not calling 911 and that i shouldn’t as well because he didn’t want to be shut down due to not following corona virus guidelines. They were over the maximum capacity. Due to the circumstances, i asked my order to be discounted. They stated they would take off the cheeseboard, and we’d only have to pay for the 1 bottle of wine. Which i thought was fair until i realized they charged me $55 for a supposed to be $32 bottle of wine. So it looks like i was never discounted in the first place. It is very unfortunate that it seems like the owner/management was more worried about his restaurant making money for night and being shut down than a human being’s health. I used to spend a good amount of money biweekly at this restaurant and i will not ever step foot in here again. I advise others to do the same.*side note, the owner reached out to me after this experience and was very rude and calling me a “Karen”. Don’t waste your time here.
You judge a restaurant by its vegetables and its consistency- and the Tasting Room has mastered both. The folks here have knowledge of wine on a profound level. You neednt guess on a bottle; simply tell them what flavor profile you are seeking and they will produce it in a fashion better than you had imagined. The ambiance is delightful. The food is merely a formality away from being James Beard award winning.I look forward to introducing all of my friends and family to The Tasting Room.
I am an active traveler and active reviewer. Traveled all over the world and United states.I usually dont prefer to give bad reviews unless it really is. This was my worst experience until now.Heres the Story - Me and my friends wanted to have dinner so we were looking for a place for 11 people so just asked if there is anything available. But somehow plan got changed but still I wanted to try one drink because place looks pretty classy and upscale. But I closed the tab after a drink ( Moscow mule) and just responded in a funny way to the bartender (Shawna ) that there was too much alcohol in it so m calling off the night and response from Shawna was this is something a white person would never say .I am pretty sure there was nothing wrong with my statement and it was just a feedback for the drink too since alcohol overrid the taste of the drink.Staff was really rude and disrepectful.I would give 4 to the place but 1 to staff and their attitude.
Came for a small Bday party in the upstairs room and balcony. If you are looking for a venue to sit back with some friends and enjoy a large selection of wine i would recommend this place. the staff was friendly and had a wonderful experience trying new wines.
JJ the bartendernis amazing. I go back because of him and the food!
This place has terrible service, my group waited an hour for a small terribly overpriced charcuterie and cheese board. They’d completely forgotten to even put our order in and acted like we were a bother for questioning the wait. We had to go inside to ask for a server to refill waters and take second drink orders. The experience was so terrible it became comical. Their consolation offering was a a glass of bad champagne. DO NOT COME HERE
1 star is being generous. Our waiter went and disappeared to get food for himself in the middle of service. Two of our orders were never put in. Food came out one by one for over an hour. Extremely Overpriced, Overrated and the food was subpar. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Nice happy hour specials with small bites. We had bubbly and Mac n cheese. The downstairs space is small but decor is interesting. Score a window seat to people watch or a table on the balcony. Great pre dinner choice.
This place was so nice! The atmosphere was great to just hang with friends, and Courtney was the best waitress! All of the staff was friendly, and the food was good
Definitely stop here if youre near the garden district! Great food, great cocktails and service. Thanks JJ!
Walked in at 4:00 on Saturday. Only one person at the bar but we thought wed try it anyway. Ordered a cheese board & glass of moscato for $37. The wine was good. The 1.5 oz of cheese & 4 pieces of burned toast was an enormous disapointment. The server seemed irritaed to help us b/c she had tonbreak off her conversation with her friend sitting at the bar any time we needed anything.Bottom line- descent wine, over priced & tiny portions with crappy service.
Looove the atmosphere here and the wine! The food on the other hand was overly price for the quality and quantity. Menu did not have options. I would definitely go back to sit and drink a couple of glasses of wine but not to eat a meal.
Great atmosphere, delicious wine, friendly owners! My only recommendation is that they offer additional non-alcoholic beverages for a little nourishment — but they do have great citrus flavored water on tap. Stop in for a chill time a super convenient area.
A cozy and well-lit bar that also serves great drinks and food like a charcuterie board and a really great burger that I only just finished after a day and a half. The service was also really fantastic 🤩🙌
I always enjoy my times at the Tasting Room. Chef Orlando does a great job and the food is delicious!! And i love the wine list, especially the choice of Keg wines by the glass. 🍷🥂😉
The atmosphere and drinks are awesome. JJ was the best bartender and the overall vibe was lit
We decided to eat at this place because it sounded interesting, After waiting a while we finally got noticed and got sat down when we sat down we waited about 20 min for anyone to ask us for drinks, after taking our drink order they took our food order as well which to no suprise took 1hr+ which is way to long!! I then asked for my check in advance and it still took them a long time… they were not that busy either- Very understaffed
Overall a pretty nice place. 👌 The staff was great and we got our drinks incredibly fast. Well be back to try the food!
Walked in for a reserved seating area outside. None (and I truly mean none) of their employees (bartenders/servers/chef/food runner) were wearing masks. They were also at full capacity. Apparently New Orleans mask mandate and capacity restrictions dont apply to them. There is a safe way to socialize during a pandemic and that was not it. Horrid experience.
Great!!! We accidentally came in while they were closed but that didn’t stop them making us feel valued. They went out of their way to provide a great service.Great options for drinks and staff were super friendly.
JJ is INCREDIBLE we had the best experience. Seriously dont miss this place the vibes and drinks are A+
Awesome food, great drinks selection - guys were short in staff that evening, but the food was worth waiting extra minutes. Super attentive and friendly service, loved it
Way way way over priced. A cheese board with 3 pieces of cheese for 26$ while in the menu it is advertised as 10$ (small letter saying its happy hour). Honestly way too pricey for what it is. Save your money for something better
Excellent. The general manager figured out a way to get us a table even though they were busy and had a big reservation coming in. The atmosphere is great and the food fabulous.
Went for New Years Day brunch and it was super cringe. Food and atmosphere were great but the staff was SUPER stressed and honestly made me uncomfortable. We left after appetizers.
Tasting room has such good vibes and good drinks! Jordan, the bartender, knows his stuff and his homemade cocktail syrups are to die for! Always have a good time with friends whenever we go!
Place was super cute. We came for a cocktail before dinner but Im going to try and come back next time Im in town to explore more of their extensive liquor wall
Website says 4-midnight on Monday. Google says the same thing. Take a lyft all the way here at 5pm, theyre just closed. No one answering the phone. No sign. Nothing on their website saying theyll be closed. If you want to be closed when it says youre open, put that on your website. Thanks for the wasted Lyft ride. This is the sort of behavior that gets you less and less customers until you close down and sit and wonder what could have happened to lose you so much business.
Great setting, food and wine was great! Loved the toasted cauliflower and truffle fries. Chef Antonio was fun to talk to! We had a great time!
Always terrific. Cheese plate is a meal by itself, warm bread and selection of jams. Several great selections of flights of wine and an extensive whiskey menu.
JJ was fantastic. The atmosphere was phenomenal. 11/10 would recommend
It was AWESOME until a customer brought his large dog in and set off my asthma and I had to leave
5+ years this amazing culinary gem has sat unknown to me - that finally changed!found this place last night and WOW! went in for some tapas & chilaxing. niether happened. the smiles and smells awoke me to hey lets really go for something!with toby & erica (it’s a “c” not “k”, i dbl’d chkd lol) i was served an amazing white that sat perfect on my pallet with the evenings dinner special - local gulf seafoood penna in a beating of your grandmas tomato sauce with hawaiian basil (we had some laughs on the lack of pinapple hints when the meal arrived).i couldnt finish the meal there was THAT MUCH! and if you know me, seen me or read previous reviews; thats quite the feat lolenjoy this place!two comments about the wine:1) yes the tasting room has you covered for variety of your preference, price range and other items2) as a sommelier once told/said - it isnt the wine that makes the evening, its the ppl you are sharing the wine with that do! the tasting room can take a bottle of $2 chuck and allow you to have a wonderful eveninggo here now, laters & often again!laters fools! twist the throttle, rubber side down & never stop till they surrender
Made a reservation a while ago for tomorrow- thanksgiving- but they called us tonight (the day before thanksgiving) to tell us they had a glitch in their system and they’re closed. really screwed us over, because now we have less than 24 hours to make dinner reservations and everything is already full. not thrilled!
This Chef I call El Chefe is a beast with his craft. He dont play. Ive circled this globe too many times and experienced the finest. Just so happens Orlando is working the skillet of gods.
Really cool place! Love the ambience. Really chill, laid-back place! Excellent wine selection! A little pricey, but definitely worth it! Will be back!
I gave one star because there’s no lower option. The food was way overpriced, the service was slow and meh, and I came here to warn you to avoid it because there are much better places to spend your hard earned money. Disappointed
Theres nothing bad to say about this place. Great wine selection, delicious food, excellent ambiance. Its my wifes favorite bar in the city.
Excellent wine curation. You cant go wrong with the cheese boards and the truffle fries. Upstairs has a kush event space with a Nola style balcony.
Went here with colleagues and absolutely loved it! The ability to create your own flights of nice wines plus delicious food in a hip yet cozy atmosphere.
The staff was awesome .. my party went here for a bday and the food atmosphere and kindness that we experienced really made the night
Drew was our bartender. He makes a great cocktail and good conversation. Highly recommend!
Cool hangout spot and easy place to hang out with the girls and drink spirits or wine. Staff was nice and food good
So cute!! Great happy hour! Love the Palomas. Also enjoyed the cheese and charcuterie board. Will definately return!
Amazing place! The food and the cocktails are delicious and unique. I love the atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Definitely the best and classiest wine and small plate venue around. Environment and staff are awesome. 10/10.
Very elegant but chilled place to sip and talk! Great Wine could be a little more vast and stocked on the bottles of everything they serve in glasses
Love going there on my off days and Happy Hour Fridays. I can go there and chill or hang out by myself and relax. I recommend
Great place for different occasions. Whether it’s date night, brunch, or just trying to duck off with a chick or two. Good place to be.
A very special eclectic vibe, with interesting options for wine flights. Probably some of the best BBQ shrimp Ive ever eaten! Yum-O!!
No words for how great this place is. Food is incredible and the most unique and wonderful selection of special wines to be found anywhere in Nola.
Came in with a big group of girls and service was great and quick, drinks were delicious. highlight recommend!:)
Meh...the old one was better. No wine flights and no one really knowledgeable about the wines. Food portions are very small and service was really spotty .
Such a great spot. So cute inside! Amazing aperol spritz, mango habenero margarita, and spicy Bloody Mary!
Poor service, we order cheese and charcuterie and we had shrimp... we order red wine and we had white....Nice place anyway, good looking decorated with nice ambiance.
Great food! Awesome drinks choices! Friendly staff! What else do you need in a bar
Really great small quaint place with a lot of character. The drinks are awesome and the food is spectacular.
