Overall the place is not bad, the service was meh. The old grey bearded bouncer has no manners. By the way he was acting I can assume it was his first time to be out of the projects. The old white lady who was a server/manager (I’m not sure) seem to be only providing good services to the bouncer… after their shift is over

Long line, long wait. Got to the front of the line and waited for 30 minutes to get rejected for wearing shorts. Useless bouncers, we were trying to celebrate a birthday with a dozen people but they didn’t want our business

Got turned away at the door for going to my friend’s birthday party in scrubs after working a 12 hour shift at the hospital. I had just lost a patient to cardiac arrest and was looking forward to seeing my friends. The bouncer was wearing a SnapBack and a polo. 2006 Aeropostale called, they want their polo back.

Dancing and music were good. Bouncer out front WILL POWER TRIP YOU and absolutely ruin the experience. It says 23 + but we’re 30 and barely made it in

WOOOOOOW what a HORRIBLE place… I witnessed a dude going by himself being turned away… I witnessed a couple being charged $100 dollars to get in… and they two blonde girls getting in for FREE.. literally the LEAST INCLUSIVE place ever… also, when I confronted the security guard about these horrendous things I had just witnessed he said he “owned the bar and he did not care”… WELL , he did NOT seem like a dude that would own a bar BUT anyways..make your own conclusions lol . I felt bad for all these people and left because I don’t tolerate injustice and discrimination. PEACE

So I went here for the first time and the guy in the blue whatever print shirt working the boy singled me out for the shorts that I had on. He claimed that they dont allow my type of shorts. Yet they allow a female with the same shorts (bright orange) to walk right in. After it was pointed out (the young lady kindly acknowledged that I should be able to get in since she was) that our shorts were the same type he responds well I didnt see the string..... Make it make sense. If this is the type of people the venue has working for them then honestly Im glad I didnt get in.

Charged $30 cover per person. Bouncer gave us a hard time. Made up some excuse about not wanting to let us in bc someone in our party smoked a cigarette outside? Incredibly mid drinks and vibes for how difficult/expensive it was to get in. Not worth the time or money.

Fun bar, super nice staff, and good drinks. Went here for a friend’s bday party and we really enjoyed it. It’s pretty much 1 large basement room (stairs leading down outside) with a bar in it. Would come back!

Sweetie nyc is the most quality spot on the lower east side. Ownership is incredible and service is impeccable. I for sure reccomend for anyone!

Racist bouncer! Beware of John. Told my entire group of exclusively South Asian, Latinx, and Black people that we needed to email for a reservation and couldn’t be let in for that reason (after waiting in a line of white people). Music seemed sus and, to boot, John claimed he too had been “discriminated against” despite being a tall white man. Avoid at all costs.

It was a fun bar except for the DJ- I had gone up and requested a popular song nicely, and at first it seemed like he was so cool w that and said he’d play it later. What I found creepy is right after that, he stood behind our group for a time seemingly wanting to talk to the girls. When no one would give him real attention, he stormed off and never played the song. AND would not let us come back to the DJ booth when we tried to request again lol

Great place - they also found my sisters wallet and kept it safe while she went to pick it up, would definitely recommend

Had a really bad experience with a bouncer/maybe the owner(?). After giving us a hard time coming in, he followed us in, stood near us, and waited until someone in our group accidentally brushed him, then decided to kick that person out. It was clear there was racist motivation.

Went to this bar with a group of friends and we had the best time! Definitely one of my new favorite bars in the city. Good vibes, drinks, and music. Looking forward to going back!!I also lost my bag and emailed them the next morning. One of the bar owners quickly responded, and I was able to pick it up in the next couple days. I really appreciated him taking the time to return it to me, especially on a Monday when the bar wasnt even open. Highly recommend!

Went here for the first time last Saturday for my friends engagement after party. Had a great time, bartenders and bouncers were all nice. Fun & clean atmosphere. Drinks were great and priced well.On top of it all, my girlfriend lost her wallet there. I emailed them the next day and the owner Stephen got back to me immediately that he would look for it when he went back. He got back to me quickly after that saying he found it and that I can come pick it up the next day. Picked it up and of course everything including her cash was still in there. I know from past experiences that that would not be the case at most other places. Very grateful for Stephen and his responsiveness, caring for his customers.Will definitely go back soon and host other events here!

I love this place, it has special place in my heart not just because the drinks are strong but the staff really makes you feel like family. Love this spot! Great music, dancing, and drinks. This is my friends and Is new favorite place in NYC!Additionally, I lost my wallet here last weekend. I emailed them and the owner Stephen responded very quickly that he had my wallet and could meet me the following day for me to pick it up (despite them being closed that day). He was so nice and helpful and on top of that all my cash and cards were still in my wallet upon return! Really appreciated his help and reinforced how great a spot this is. Would highly recommend!!!

I had a situation where my tip was entered incorrectly and I mistakenly thought it was on purpose. I reached out and the owner, Stephen, was quick to apologize and explain the accident. He even refunded the entire bill rather than just the incorrect tip. My friends and I had a blast when we visited, and after this wonderful service, we will be sure to return!

The set up of the place itself is nice but only stayed 10 min since it was close to closing. The girl at the front yelled at someone to let go of the door when he was just helping people get out before they closed. He was just trying to help LOL.

Definitely one of my favorite bars in NYC. I cannot express how much I LOVE the 23 and up rule because honestly now that I’m older I don’t want to be around drunk college kids. The DJS were amazing and the vibe was fantastic. Great location and I would try the Moscow mule. The homemade ginger syrup cures everything. My new favorite bar, I can’t wait to go back!!

Sweetie is my favorite bar by far - honestly the only place where the drinks are good, the music is amazing and the staff are so so helpful and nice! They just installed new air conditioning and it’s such a game changer. 100% recommend.

As I show the owner Stephen my ID he asks for a credit card to match my ID meanwhile Ive been there before and the bartender charged my one drink twice and by the way all those good reviews are by someone whos related and married to the owner dont listen to the good reviews do yourself a favor and listen to the bad ones and dont spend your money here the owner is a ConArtist I reported the charge and ordered a new credit card. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

STAY AWAY! This place discriminates international residents! My friend and I (2 girls) have been living here for the past two years and this has never happened to us. Showed the guard NYC-ID and a foreign license and the reaction was “only domestic ID’s welcome”. Horrible place never coming back. 🤮🤮🤮

Disorganized!! my friend made a reservation a MONTH in advance and we get to the door and they can’t find it. Takes a phone call and then we are only guaranteed entry and not a table as we RESERVED. music also trash, this is coming from someone who is a connoisseur of top 40 and edm.

The DJ played one bop after another and my friends and I had the best time on the dance floor. The cocktails are so delicious and reasonably priced. If you like mojitos, the “Early Terrible” Mojito is a MUST! The drinks, music, ambiance, and vibes are all on point and the place to go if you’re looking for a great night out!

Every night is a good night at Sweetie. Vibes are amazing, staff is incredible, and I can confidently say that my they make the best of my night life! There is truly no place like Sweetie.

Stay away from this place. The disrespect from the staff is something else. They turn people away just because you don’t meet the security’s ego standards. They will maybe let you in if you’re a guy with 4 other girls with you. They think it’s a frat house

Although it says it closes at 4am, I arrived at 1:30 and they said they were closed. Disappointed because the last time I came it was such a fun time and I was excited to return. But their hours seem to be extremely inconsistent.

Sweetie is ALWAYS a vibe! The music is on point, the disco balls add to the ambiance, the drinks are delicious and strong, and the bartenders are mega cool. So fun to dance there!!
