As a student who has participated in different bachata classes and events in NYC, I can say bachata sensual movement is the best school here. Patrick and Tayler are professional dancers who helped us to improve. They are really nice and patient with all the student. Highly recommend

Very active and social community. The dance level is generally very good. They do have a Facebook page that gives good information on who is teaching and which DJs are playing that night.Some of the DJs have written some of the top songs!Its a pretty party vibe for their weekend parties, and also have a good event on Wednesdays. They have some really active teams for beginners and advanced dancers and get lots of opportunities to perform as well.100% would recommend, especially if youre a sensual dancer. Definitely a staple of the nyc dance scene

I recently had the pleasure of taking Sensual Movement dance classes with Luis and Tay, (Level 1 Beginner and Fundamentals). The experience was professional and enjoyable from start to finish.Luis and Tay exhibited professionalism not only in their technique but also in their approachable and friendly demeanor. They were always punctual, well-prepared, and eager to share their expertise with the class. Their ability to break down complex dance moves and make them accessible to dancers of all levels showcased their knowledge and experience.Luis and Tay created a positive and inclusive environment where everyone felt welcome and encouraged. It was refreshing to be surrounded by such a great group of people who shared the same passion for dance.One of the highlights of being part of this dance community were the Sensual Movement social dances. These events were filled with joy and excitement, with dancers coming together to showcase their skills and simply have a great time. The energy in the room was contagious, and the social dances provided an opportunity to connect with fellow dancers while exploring new dance styles and techniques.Overall, my experience with Luis, Tay, and Sensual Movement was nothing short of amazing and I highly recommend taking the Sensual Movement Bachata classes.

My first encounter with Sensual Movement (SM) was back in August 2022 when I was visiting NYC for the first time. I attended their Friday lesson and social, which was taught by Patrick and Johanna. All of the instructors are very skilled, and they know how to communicate to help others learn. I was thrilled to attend another SM event in December 2022. Now I am ecstatic to attend my first SM festival in February 2023!

If you want to learn how to dance sensual bachata, Sensual Movement Studio is absolutely the best place! I have been to many studious but there is no other around like that. Very talented, professional instructors who have terrific patience even with beginners like me.The atmosphere is great, you feel like a part of dance family immediately! Their Wednesday social night practice at the High bar are really fun with welcoming people!

Ive been to bachata and salsa congresses and events around the world, and Sensual Movement has the BEST instructors anywhere! I feel so lucky to live in NYC, and dont have to travel to have the most professional classes and performance groups. Ive been dancing with them for over 3 years now, and they keep impressing me with new world champion instructors, high level technique, and teaching skills. Plus, their events and socials are AMAZING! If you havent tried a class yet, you are missing out! Ive improved so much as a dancer thanks to them.

When it comes to dancing events and studios, organization is key. The directors and leaders are the most organized and visionary group you will encounter. Planning events can get chaotic and it shows for the attendees, I’ve never felt this way at a sensual movement Congress or event. It’s always seem less, well advertised, well attended, and just an extremely fun time. Every time I go to a sensual movement Congress or event, they make the experience better than the last. They bring in world renowned artists, plan events in the most gorgeous locations and hotels, some events are all inclusive which is so hard to come by! They focus on tiny details like free pizza for some pool parties. Sensual Movement over delivers every time and you never feel like you didn’t get your monies worth at these events. The dancers are incredible and I love their movement! I will forever be loyal to the sensual movement company, they are my absolutely favorite congress event planners and dance community!

Jeff and Tayler are great instructors. I did a couple intro lessons while visiting NYC. The class is broken down well and progressive. As a follow everything felt safe. Tayler provides excellent tips for follows in the class, making it well worth it to take classes here

Hands down the best studio, bringing you the best instructors, international artist and events not only in NYC but probably the entire east coast. Owners and management are an amazing team and incredible as individuals. You will always feel welcome and in family, plus you will always get the best dance scene in NYC when it comes to sensual bachata! And just to put the icing on the cake, they are making possible the return in my opinion the best sensual bachata couple in the world, Daniel and Desiree after years of absence in the US. Amazing!!!

WEPAAA! Sensual Movement Studio is by-far my favorite bachata spot in the US. What attracted me at first was a video of Daniel and Desirae at the studio. So I looked into it, and decided to go to one of their events. Take it from me — they are hands-down the best place to learn and dance sensual bachata! Being from Miami, it’s hard to say I like this more than our studios down there but for sensual bachata it is a must-visit. The instructors are friendly and experts in the dance scene. They offer classes that give you a one-on-one focus and they’re not just great dancers they’re great teachers too. The studio itself is high-class and provides plenty of space for lessons and social dancing. Plus they manage to pull in artists from around the world. I had a blast here and can’t wait to be back next week.

I was in New York and took a few classes with this studio, I fell in love with the studio and sensual bachata in general. All of their instructors are very professional, patient and technical. They are very caring and want to make sure you got the move before they move on. Also, I loved their social on Wednesday night! The views were out of this world. Highly recommend this studio!

This studio is the leading of sensual bachata in the New York City and their reputation is well recognized around the U.S. This studio is certified by the world famous sensual bachata like Daniel and Desiree; and Korke and Judith; and many more.I have been a student here of almost 2 years. The instructors taught us to develop our skill and techniques that will make us feel so confident on the dance floors. All instructors here are so friendly and professional. If you are looking to learn sensual bachata in NYC, that is the place to go. They have classes several times a week for different levels with various instructors. All instructors are very professional, some of which won international awards in different dance styles.Sensual Movement has amazing socials weekly (and mostly more than once a week). My suggestion is to follow Facebook page to stay updated on the socials schedule. I love their DJs - Willi and Patrick!! Always nice music and new remixes.The company also has several performance teams from student to pro-level, partner dancing or ladies styling. I danced with the sensual movement for two seasons and can vouch for the high quality of teaching and performing.And last but not least, they are bunch of great people that became like a family to me in a short period of time!

Sensual Movement is my absolute favorite sensual bachata studio. I recall the first time I ever took a class with Annette and Pablo, and ever since then I’ve just loved every class I have ever attended from Veronika to Patrick and Taylor to I mean everyone in this studio really. There’s so many masterfully skilled instructors at this studio I can’t even begin to try and name each instructor and their classes that I’ve attended. From festivals to weekend workshops to classes at Las Chicas Locas, Mondrian Terrace, or High Bar to summer socials every class by Sensual Movement has been, I mean quite frankly, awesome. They stress proper technique and if I’m keeping it 100%, no one does it like sensual movement. They are the originators and brought sensual bachata to New York City. The instructors love sensual bachata and their enthusiasm is infectious lol. Their explanations to executing proper technique are on point/well elucidated and they really make it fun to dance sensual bachata. They genuinely want to see their students excel and dance with proper technique because once technique is learned one can innovate his or her own set of moves. It’s because of Sensual Movement that I love dancing sensual bachata now for the past maybe 1/2 years. One thing is for sure, if you love dancing or want to learn dancing sensual bachata you won’t ever regret taking classes with Sensual Movement.

Ive only taken a handful of classes but loved it!!!My (and my husbands) favorite instructors r Veronika and Pablo.They dont just teach-preach.They get in rotation during partnerwork so u know how the moves supposed to feel, how to lead and b led.They r friendly and not distant or talk with a know it all attitude.They break everything down and u can always ask questions.I love it!Wish they would teach in long island.Id def be a regular :)I also like their socials. Most of the time they also have a class first. The venues r also really nice!Highly recommend them!😎
