Roxy our server was so sweet and attentive. Then when she took stage she was fierce! We loved everyone that performed and that was working that night. The made my daughter’s 18th birthday so fun. The food is so so, the drinks are strong and tasty, but we all know you are there for the show and they don’t disappoint you! We did the glamour show on Saturday night. I highly recommend it!
Came here end of July 2024 for a combined bachelor/bachelorette party. There were 12 of us, and we had a blast. The food was great, generous portions( most of us had the chicken and waffles)and the bottomless bloody Mary’s and mimosas were good too! The service was good. Show was fun, the main MC and performer was the best-great comedian. The rest of the “girls” were okay. Just to advise there is no so going here just lip singing and some dancing but overall a really good time.
We’ve come here a couple times and it’s just the most amazing experience. Everyone works so hard to make it such a great show, amazing drinks, and great food, all within such a fun, eclectic, sparkly atmosphere. Worth the trip!!!!!
I’ve been to LIPS 4 times now and every experience has been great! Not one show has been identical - so it’s a great place to bring friends who have never been.Food is good! It’s not a 5 star experience, but for a pre fixed menu, it’s fantastic! I’ve always finished every meal. Staff and performers are so much fun and so talented! We dance, laugh and thoroughly enjoy ourselves every time!
This was hands down the BEST drag show I’ve been to in NYC. The food was incredible (I got the Ru Paul chicken dinner) and the employees were amazing!! It’s such a safe environment and shout out to Twiggy for being the most awesome substitute bartender/drag queen around!! Twiggy put on the best show I’ve ever seen (the dancing was phenomenal and the performance as a whole was the most incredible thing I’ve ever witnessed live). I cannot wait to come back and see more performances soon!! Thank you to everyone for being so kind and entertaining!! :)
The Broadway Brunch was so fun! Ginger Snap was a riot and so talented. We celebrated my upcoming wedding and she made me feel very special. I went with family members and it was a lot of their first time seeing drag and they all LOVED it. The drinks are nonstop, the food is nothing to write home about, but the queens are stellar. I couldnt recommend Lips more!
Went for Sunday Drag Brunch and had a blast! The steak and eggs was surprisingly good and the show was wonderful! Such a great time. Highly recommend.
You will be taken care of here! The performers are obviously skilled and polished in their acts, and everyone is warm and accepting and welcoming. If you were looking for a drag brunch, you will not be disappointed by going to Lips. We were in town for my birthday this weekend and where we had made our other reservations, unfortunately had to cancel our reservations last minute. But Lips immediately got us in and from the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left treated us like we were special and welcome guests. Even giving me a Birthday card with a printed photo with the host and another of the performers. The wait staff and bus staff were like a well oiled machine and the mimosas and bloody Marys were truly bottomless! Will absolutely come back the next time we visit.
OMG this place is FABULOUS! Went here for my daughters 21st birthday and had a great time. All the Queens put on a great show and our server Chandelier is amazing on and off the stage. Went for the 6pm dinner and show. Its a prefixed menu but with enough options theres something for everyone. Drinks were just as great and packed a punch too. Been here a couple of times to and cant wait to go back
The show was great. I was laughing and dancing the whole night. The girls looked so beautiful. The food was okay that’s why I gave it 4 stars. We did the prefixed menu which comes with Caesar salad, entree, sugar cookies and red velvet cupcakes for 42 dollars drinks not included. I got the salmon for my entree the sauce on top was very good but the salmon itself could have used more seasoning. It was supposed to come with jasmine rice but it came with potatoes which were very good. The drinks are not included except water. I ordered the cosmopolitans they said it was sweet and it was not kind of bitter actually. The red velvet cupcakes were good but the sugar cookies did not they fondant icing on them that tasted nasty and made the cookies really hard.
I been wanting to go to lips for my birthday since forever but something always got in the way. I finally made it to the taboo showing and it did not disappoint. I had the best time I could go here all the time. The queens were definitely Queens! This is a bday I will never forget.Twiggy was amazing !! Love her!!
Came here for the NYE drag show. It was very fun, my first show in New York. The food was good, it came out quite fast and the steak size was huge but undercooked. I had the salmon (although it said char on the menu) and it was quite good. The polenta was the best Ive had. We did feel rushed as the show was going to start but it was a good hearty meal. The show was good, all the queens had playlists that were themed.Afterwards the celebration for new years was quite fun and the staff looked to be having a fantastic time.
My First time here and it was a cool experience. Went for a buddys Birthday Celebration. The food was good, hot, fresh the space was a little tight on the evening that I was there but it appears that everyone was having a nice time. The drag host was kind, funny and continued to ensure our needs was met. The bar is located to the right and the bathrooms was located upstairs. A comfortable place for All
Had a really bad experience my first time here. We werent last in line, but for some reason my group of 4 was seated way in the back of the room, past the bar. We couldnt see the show, the drag queens never really came back to our corner during the dances, our view was constantly blocked by people standing at the bar getting drinks. The queens were great, drinks were good, food was ok. But our experience was really awful due to where we were seated and I cant believe they would charge full price for the seats we got. Would not return based on this experience.
Took my cousin here to celebrate his birthday. The service was good and organized it felt like a well oiled machine and routine for the staff. The food was surprisingly good but not hot enough, everything came out in a timely manner but was lukewarm. We attended on a Saturday which is a mandatory prefix menu providing a caesar salad, entree, dessert and a show. Everyone was served Caesar salads that tasted pre made with soggy croutons, possibly to save on time.for dessert they gave mini red velvet cupcakes with chocolate pieces inside and a whip icing. The cupcakes were crunchy and not good either. My cousin had the stuffed lobster ravioli and I had the jumbo shrimp scampi, which we both enjoyed. (Appetizers are not included) We also purchased the coconut shrimp appetizer which was good as well. We couldn’t try any alcoholic drinks bc I am expecting and my cousin is underage so no deets on that. Overall the service was great but rushed I think bc they have to keep to a tight schedule and the show was great and entertaining but be prepared for close contact dining and minimal space to move if you are attempting on a Saturday. This place has many seats as they can fit in this popular venue.
So many firsts the last few days!! Its a wifey vacation for the books!! My bestie gets me on the plane for the first time, New York for the first time and she takes me to my very first drag show (even thought Ive lived in Portland FOREVER!) 🤣 . Lips and all the lovely ladies and staff hats off to you ALL!!!! Thank you for making my cherry popped memorable for all time 💚 If you want to have a fun night with food worth while come to lips for sure!
Had a wonderful time with my family. It was there first time my second n it didn’t disappoint. These women work really hard to perform in front of a crowd I’m all for giving credit and the support it deserves!! Ladies always do fabulous! And for those people in the comment nit picking get real! I love lips and will of course come back for a 3rd time!!! Thank you ladies for your service and entertainment!
We went in with no expectations because it was our first drag show but wow was it a super exciting experience! the food (in reference to the main entree, the salad and cookies on the other hand, were nothing special) was surprisingly very delicious and so were the drinks. drinks were a little expensive but as are most places that serve alcohol at a show. you also get a cute lip shaped shot glass to keep as a souvenir. a super fun first time experience, definitely recommend going with friends, as a girls night out, or events like birthday/bachelor/bachelorette parties as they have a special moment for brides, grooms, and people who are celebrating their birthdays. our host was lovely and all the staff were very attentive! just note the mandatory 20% gratuity added on the bill already.
The service was excellent, show was fantastic 🙌👏! Our server was Twiggy and she was amazing!! Parking was easy and close, follow the info on their website. Atmosphere was beautiful make sure to stop at the selfie station by the stairs to the restroom. Overall we had a great girls brunch for mothers day weekend!!
One of THE best drag brunches I’ve ever been to! The queens turn it all the way out. Mz. O was just outrageously talented, an absolute highlight of our trip!
The Sunday Broadway Brunch was a fun experience for my daughters Bachelorette. Food and mimosas were good, and the entertainment was engaging. Would like to catch some of the other shows in the near future!
Genuinely had the time of my life during a brunch visit. My party went early afternoon so we got the cheeseburger and fries and berry waffles. The food came out incredibly fast and was delicious ! Large beef patty cooked perfectly and crunchy fries. They contuinally refilled our pitchers mimosa. The entertainment!!! Oh my goodness I havent laughed or sang so loudly in my life. Everyone was having such an amazing time. The song selections were fantastic and the performances were beyond !Do not hesitate, go there immediately.
Was at Lips for a birthday party today. Our group definitely had a fun time and the drag show was a hoot! GingerSnaps comic timing was the highlight for me. Some things to know: Lips packs the room and its extremely tight seating. The food and drinks that I had were mediocre - average dinner theater - youre coming for the show. The sound system was way too loud-bring your earplugs if thats an issue for you. Otherwise, the queens of Lips were a lot of fun! A great place to celebrate adult birthday parties! Lips, please bring back the naughty balloons!
This place was recommended to us, and we thought it would be fun.It was awful, the food was rushed, and bland, the entertainment was a joke, and the whole thing is just about how much money they can get off you, i.e tips.Classic, have a drink u didnt order for free but it will be on the bill at the end? However the icing on the cake was the 20% additional surcharge, that is discretionary, however if you dispute this, all hell breaks loose.Dont waste your time or money!
Queens were hilarious, talented and so very kind! They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome, especially my teenage boy and girl. When my daughter gathered all of her courage to sing karaoke for the very first time ever, Shiny Penny handed out tambourines and Freeda Kulo gave her a prize. They made her feel like a million bucks. January and Avant Garbage took good care of us too. Small intimate venue felt like hanging out with old friends. Food is delicious. I recommend the chocolate cake for dessert! Fun and memorable night. Well be back for sure!
Highly recommended!! Thank you for such a wonderful time. It was my best friends first drag show and first time to NYC and we couldnt ask for any experience better than with you! From the the fabulous greeting upon arrival, to the front row seating, to the tasty food, and glorious hosts-- we had an absolute blast. Come visit Lips for ANY occasion. Its a truly special place and an amazing show. Make sure you bring some singles for your lovely queens-- they work their butts off!! Much love from Portland Oregon ❤️ we will visit again!A special thanks to the lips manager for making this all extremely special. They were an absolute delight upon arrival and even managed to get a group photo for us, which truly made my evening. Thank you again!!
We celebrated my cousin, a bride to be. We had a ball. The show was great, the queens were amazing. The food was delicious and the drinks were too.#LipsNYC #buzzybooth
Sooo much fun!!! The show was great. Everyone was so nice from the people at the door when you come in to the waitresses and everyone else. The food was cooked to perfect texture however you ask, unlimited mimosas all night for six dollars. All the birthday people got to go on stage and feel special as did a bride to be celebrating her bachelorette party. I would definitely go back, and definitely recommend this place to my friends and associates. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Our group had a blast at the dinner show! The performances were entertaining and had great variety, and the food was solid.
This place was absolutely amazing! I loved every minute of the show, the host kept us laughing, and the bartender kept us ordering! parmesan crusted chicken, pear martinis! Everything was amazing! Must return for brunch #LipsNYC #buzzybooth
Went to celebrate my birthday along with my cousins birthday which are a few days apart. Asked for 2 birthday hats and was told on at first then a second one was like $80 for the second birthday crown...I was like are you kidding me. The drag queen was so rude about it that if it was just me I would have left. Need I say the night went downhill from that point. Also they tried to add extra people to the bill. The food was not good. I highly dont recommend you waste your time
I took my work child for their 21st birthday. This show was GREAT!! The food was OUTSTANDING! The girls were gorgeous and Morgan was hilarious 😂MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS NOW!!
Was ana amazing experience! This was my first time at a Dova Brunch, everyone was so authentic and friendly-ish (in the best and most natural way possible). I truly appreciated the thought and curation went into each performance. AMAZED💋 #LipsNYC #buzzybooth
Why can’t I go above 5 stars for service and atmosphere?! This was such an amazing start to a Sunday! Amazing music choices and performances!! Shiny Penny was the sweetest and amazing table service while also performing an EPIC song! Ginger Snap, the host, was hilarious. Will be back to NYC strictly for this show.
I arranged a bachelorette for one of my sorority sisters here and the show was a lot of fun. The ladies know how to throw a party, and I just wished that it could have lasted an additional 30-60 minutes. The drinks were strong and good, but the food was not that great. I ordered a chicken Marsala for my main course (during the Saturday night show). The chicken was dry and the vegetables were not that great either; the only thing that I enjoyed on my plate were the mashed potatoes. In my opinion, the venue is good for a fun show, however the food is not that great.
Lips Drag Queen Show Palace Restaurant & Bar provided an exceptional setting for my 50th birthday celebration with loved ones. From the moment we arrived, the vibrant atmosphere set the stage for an unforgettable evening. What made it even more special was that they allowed in my teenage girls, unlike other drag places in New Jersey and Philly. The combination of delectable cuisine, lively performances, and reasonable prices ensured everyone had a fantastic time. The drag queens were both stunning and incredibly talented, captivating the audience with their charisma and flair. Being called on stage for a personalized roast added an exciting thrill, while the birthday cake was a sweet touch that made the celebration even more special. I highly recommend Lips for anyone seeking a memorable and entertaining night out.
The show was good the queens were funny and the decorations were nice. But the bartender was incredibly rude and belittling. They made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. I will never return simply based on that.
You make a reservation in advance, then pay for your food and drinks and enjoy the show in person . Bring singles to tip!! Food was good ! I had the salmon! Drinks were ok, not that strong to me. You’ll notice that the performers where different hats -they may take your food order, perform on stage, and work the bar. The one who performs as Beyoncé and Ariana Grande were decent performances. Some moments were nice but definitely felt rushed, such as the birthday shoutouts. This could be a better place if they varied the dancers with fresh faced more energetic ones. I still had a good time, but I would not return.
Lips is happening! If your celebrating a birthday, why not celebrate it here. Youll get a gold crown and get to get your photo taken with 2 lovelies. Our gorgeous waitress resembled Marilyn Monroe, we tried the steak and eggs, cheeseburgers and chicken and waffles. We were satisified and happy with our Brunch. We will definitely be returning. Lips is open for dinner and Sunday brunch. Reservations are required. No deliveries Lips is located at 227 E. 56th, New York City. Dont forget to bring $1s :)
Went for the 1st time. Not impressed. Entire experience felt rushed. From moment I walked through the door, being seated, to food order and drinks. The food was surprisingly very good as was the drinks. Drinks not cheap and for the size, not really worth it. The performances were not that good. Cheesy best described them. Over all not worth the price.
I went during Halloween weekend this was my first drag queen show experience. The service was very attentive and my drink was never empty. The food was also good and had large portions. The performers are incredibly talented! I wasn’t celebrating anything but lots of birthdays and bachelorette parties were in the house. They brought them up on stage to take photos and was very inactive with the crowd. Extremely fun night! Highly recommend bringing extra cash to tip the amazingggg performers (they do have $1 bills if you need to exchange also a ATM on site) !!
The atmosphere was so gorgeous, Performers were great. They brought around dollar bills so that you could tip the performers- I didn’t have to worry about stopping at the ATM, which was great. The Caesar salad was tasty. Our server was “shiny penny” She was fabulous we loved her! I would definitely go back
**Update**: The owner contacted me, apologized about the incident and was very professional. Although I am no longer in NYC, I look forward to giving this experience another try!We had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience at Lips NYC. My party (group of 10) saw on the website that there is a Friday show. It said to call for reservations over 6 people. I did just that and booked a table for 10. I was under the impression you can simply order food and drinks and enjoy the Drag show. This was not the case.As soon as we were seated we were told everyone had no choice but to order the 59$ pre-fix menu. I responded saying none of us wanted dinner and came for drinks. I thought an easy alternative solution to this would be them just saying we had to meet a minimum spend in order to stay. Instead, we were approached by an incredibly rude drag queen/waitress. I politely told her that we were never told by the reservationist that there was a required per person pre fixe menu. The website also does not mention this. The website just implies that there are options to order food and drinks. She responded with “I guarantee you are wrong and were not paying attention on the phone”. Given that this drag queen/waitress would have rather made this a bigger issue versus trying to find a solution, we immediately did not feel welcomed by her attitude. My suggestion to the business is that they make these requirements clear on the website and also when booking via the phone. Also, for a place that is suppose to feel welcoming, that Drag Queen was in no position to approach this situation with such a condescending manor.
100 percent recommend this place for brunch, the food and unlimited mimosas isn’t awesome but decent. However the price is all for the awesome drag queen performance, they are talented and entertain to watch. I really enjoy the performance. Remember to bring a bunch of dollar bill to support the drag queen. If you don’t have dollar bill, no worries you can exchange for dollar bill at the counter
1000000% love love love - we came here to have some fun and leave all our stress behind to be entertained by a few girls and that we did - price is extremely fair for the entertainment and food we got - Tiffany and co was our host and she was absolutely gracious and welcoming and checking in on us all the time - really enjoyed it - this is a must for anyone visiting New York especially for birthdays and bachelorette parties - will definitely come back
So my friend and I wanted to go to a NYC drag show. This show didn’t disappoint. Normally you would get good food or show. But you get both here. The performances were the best. I normally I don’t participate but I engaged and had a wonderful time. Please check these ladies out.
Went here with my husband for Sunday drag brunch and we loved it. Our server was Blaqueline ONasty and she was super nice. We got unlimited bloody Marys and they were so strong I could barely handle it and we were brought 3 pitchers! I usually have to drink a lot to get drunk but the tipsiness lasted until like 5pm! Also we werent expecting this but the food was really good! We both got salmon benedict.Ginger was the emcee and her improv stuff with the audience was funny but some of her Broadway numbers got a little boring and her lip sync was nonexistent at times. I would definitely cut the Gypsy Rose Lee number, it had a lot of talking and felt like dear air. But all the other performers were fantastic, especially Empress and Lauren Order. A great experience!
Broadway Brunch was amazing! The ladies were fabulous. We had the best time and loved every minute of it.
AMAZING SHOW, FOOD AND AMBIANCE .!! 4 stars because we arrived early for the show however even having a reservation still waited well over 40 mins. Once seated, greeted by our FANTASTIC drag server..kept us laughing the entire night. Gave us food and drink suggestions and Mann was it DELICIOUS. Only downside it wasnt many drags there performing. So servers were performing as well. That night it just seemed a bit chaotic but it wasnt disappointing at all. I will definitely go back. I had an AMAZING TIME.
First time at a drag show and I had so much fun! The queens were fabulous, talented, and incredibly funny. Taking a star off just because the food and drinks were meh, but you’re there for the show more so than the dinner so it’s fine. A great place for a bachelorette party or birthday as well. I would highly recommend coming here for your first drag show!
+ food was ok- felt like a ripoff. 90% of every show consisted of the drag queens walking around collecting money from the audience- super loud- some of the staff members were rude. We didn‘t feel very welcomeAll in all, a very underwhelming experience for that price. It feels very awkward to sit there while the drags keep running back and forth to collect tips from the audience after what felt like a 20 second performance
We had a lovely time at Lips. We attended on a Sunday and the Queens did work very hard and it is truly a family run small business. Food was decent and the show was lots of fun - I was made to get up and dance!Generous cocktails but it took quite a long time for us to get the bill sorted, and there was an emphasis on tipping! Not that there’s a problem but just increase the show fee and pay the queens more, the ongoing requests for tips very slightly ruined the show for me. But must emphasise we did have a good time and would recommend going on a Sunday evening. The queens were so polite and helpful and really made the night for us.
We went here yesterday for my girlfriend’s birthday and we had an ABSOLUTE BLAST!!! The queens were fabulous and so much fun!! We will definitely be back!
Saturday brunch for my daughters 20th birthday. She had so much fun. We loved our waitress Roxie and they put on a great show!
We had my daughters bachelorette there in May. We had 13 women and we had a blast. food was good entertainment was outrageous. My daughter who didnt know where she was going was skeptical at first, but she had an awesome time. very professional drinks were great. Taking my friend for her birthday! cant wait.
Absolutely incredible! We held my grandmothers surprise 80th birthday party here for their Sunday brunch. Everyone was wonderful and so accommodating. The food was fantastic. I loved Tiffany, Shiny Penny and Ginger snaps! All performances were phenomenal. I highly recommend!!
Lips was such a great experience! I went with a bunch of my friends and family for my nineteenth birthday and we had the best time! When you book a reservation for your special occasion, you get to go up on stage and two of the queens usually crack jokes and then you get to take a picture with them and receive a brownie with a candle! The music and dancing were super entertaining, and the food was great—everyone in my party was pleased and we generally have high expectations so I’m not sure what all the fuss is about in some of the other reviews. I wasn’t old enough to drink at the time so I cannot speak to those. The staff was incredibly friendly and the queens were so much fun to be around. I can’t wait to go back once my friends are all twenty-one!
AMAZING!!! Chicken ala vodka was very delicious and the show was fantastic. We enjoyed our time here. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a good time
I went here with my father and had the best time! I would definitely recommend going. The food was great too.
As a dancer myself I can tell you this show is amazing ,i really recommend it watching it, very professional and fun 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Great atmosphere and many lovely queens. Be warned don’t arrive early or they give you the worst seats—you won’t be able to see the performers half the time. Many servers were unable to communicate well (because of language barriers) and thus we waited a long time, got the wrong order and some items never came at all.
Was so much fun! Brought my mom and her friends here for her birthday and we had a blast! #LipsNYC #buzzybooth
Entry level drag for straight people. The Queens tried their best, but having to perform for that crowd night after night would leave anyone fatigued.
Yaaasss queen! Will come back in a heartbeat! Amazing atmosphere and energy from all the staff. Love it!!
Me and three of my oldest friends all celebrated our 40th birthdays with a trip to NYC, and our night at Lips was by far everyones favorite part of the entire weekend. Morgan was our waitress and also my favorite performer with the best music! Everyone was so friendly. The food and drinks were great. The show was fantastic. We all got birthday crowns and got to go on stage for pictures with the hostess. Look to spend a some money but its worth every penny! Dont miss a show if youre in town, especially if youre celebrating something special.
Such an amazing experience!!!! The girls were so welcoming and entertaining. Cant wait to come back!!!!!! #LipsNYC #buzzybooth
Been wanting to go to LIPS for YEARS! Finally made a reservation for today for me and 5 other [vegan] friends. Had to cancel this morning because there weren’t enough vegan entree options on the menu. There’s just one option. I called to ask if there were multiple options and the person on the phone said there are, we would just have to check in with our waiter. But we didn’t want to risk the $60 minimum per person this time if the options weren’t substantial. No shade to the LIPS establishment, we love theater and drag. Still looking forward to seeing a show here asap, just hope by then there’s at least 3 vegan entree, sides and desserts options for the pre-fix menu.
I took our group of 7 here for my friend’s bachelorette party. She had an absolute BLAST! The food was really good with decent portion sizes. The performers were amazing and the music was fun. The only critique I have is that I felt they spent more time doing birthday shout outs than actual performances.
Atmosphere is really nice and the shows are cute however the food is mid and the drinks are okay. i went with 4 other people and our bill came out to over $600 which is kind of insane considering the food seems like it’s premade and not made to order. it was nice for a special event but honestly i don’t think ill be returning.
SO MUCH FUN. The Queens here really know how to put on a show! It was a great experience and I only wish it lasted longer! Price for value was spot on for Sunday brunch and I wish I could come more often but we are just visiting! Thank you for an amazing time especially to our waitress (I think twiggy? 😬 dont hate me for not remembering your name please!! You were amazing and made our experience perfect)!
Tasty food and a smashing performance! Thanks for giving me a good first drag show experience #LipsNYC #buzzybooth
I enjoyed myself. The wait to get in was longer than expected cause of how packed the last shows were. You have to order drinks and food before the show starts. Yes you have to pay a cover (dirty show 11:30pm $15) but it will be on your bill instead of paying at the door. The food was basic but necessary cause the drinks are ON POINT AND STRONG. the show was fun, lots of jokes, skits, and singing. I will go back and bring others too but expect to spend about $50+ per person and thats 1 meal 1 drink and the entry fee plus if you get any extras throughout the show. O plus to go up on stage to interact with the queens it is $15. enjoy luv
My friend & I went for the Brunch Show and it was Fabulous!!!!!!!! The food was mehh. Not bad, just not great, but whos going for the food? I had no idea that the servers were also the performers so kudos to the double duty. The $6 bottomless Mimosas & Bloody Marys are an excellent deal, and theyre not watered down. Ginger Snapt was the MC and was hilarious. The energy was amazing and I will definitely be going back.
We had an absolutely amazing time! The food was great, the service was phenomenal, and the show was hilarious! Fair warning (good of bad, take it as you will) : no joke on the bottomless drinks. They come in pitchers and theyre well prepped before you come in so youre not waiting long for them.
These ladies out did themselves. They know how to work a crowd and get them going. Truly a fabulous night for my birthday, I thank them for always making it special. The food, for the type of place it was was good, really enjoyed it. The staff super charming and attentive. The new location (well for me) was beautifully done.
On my first visit to New York from England I chose to celebrate my 70th birthday with my daughters at Lips. I loved the performances, costumes and the quick wit of Ginger Snap, with whom I danced on stage! I was treated like a queen and had a great time.
Everything about this place is wonderful and amazing. The synergy when you walk in is off the charts. Jessica was just as excited to be there as we were for our first time. Shinny Penny was the bessssst I loved their performance and their service. They are so funny and GORGEOUS !! Best show ever. If you’re hesitating don’t do it. It’s worth it!!
Does anyone even come here for food? Which was nice anyway. We went for a late night show for my birthday, it was amazing! We couldn’t stop laughing! It’s a must visit place when you’re in New York. It was one of the best moments of our trip. And I don’t think it’s expensive, prices of food and drinks are same as in different places around.
Fabulous! So much fun, so many laughs, so many mimosas! We went to Lips Broadway Boozy Brunch for my girlfriends 50th Birthday party. It was nonstop fun through the whole experience. The place is set up with the typical tight, long tables- if youre claustrophobic you should sit at the back. The waitresses tease you in the way only a drag queen can, but all in good fun.The MC who kept everything interesting and moving along was a good comedian AND one of the (lip) singers. All of the waitresses were also (lip) singers. They were entertaining, funny, and very happy to accept tips- so bring a bunch of singles! If youre not inclined to that, they have a tip bucket at the end of the show.So we had a party of 12 and guess what- everyone LOVED their food! The menu had assorted breakfast and lunch options (brunch, duh) and they were all good. Did I mention mimosas!? Unlimited with brunch.Lots of people were there celebrating birthdays and bachelorette parties. Crowd was mostly female but some guys too (the guys definitely get more attention from the singers!) Parking at their partner lot was only a block away and only $15 with the validation. Very safe area.I cant wait to go back!
I brought my nieces here since it was their first time in New York, and they wanted to go to a drag queen show. Everyone there was nice and our server was great. We went on a Firday night so we did the $59 special which includes the show, a salad, your entrée, and a dessert. At first I thought the price was very reasonable especially since it included three different courses. No complaints with the salad and our entrées. The desserts consist of cupcakes and cookies. The cupcakes were good. The cookies were good but it did have a fondant on the top that took away from the taste of the cookie. It was unfortunate that the price did not include a drink besides water. My nieces absolutely loved the show. It was all they talked about after we left. The only downside was 20% gratuity included in our bill. Most places Ive been to include gratuity for larger groups such as 5 or more people not for 3 people. Our bill came out to $233 for about an hour and 15 minute show. This includes an added on ginger ale and no alcohol beverages. I will say as much as my nieces enjoyed the show and the food was good. I cant justify taking them back and paying that price again. The taxes and mandatory gratuity were a huge turn off.
Ive never been to a drag queen show before last night, and now i dont know how ive been living without them. These ladies are hilarious. They literally had me laughing so hard I forgot to eat. We came for my friends birthday, but now im contemplating taking my coworkers here for brunch because everyone needs to experience this place.
It was such an amazing experience even for a group of 3!! So interactive! #LipsNYC #buzzybooth
We had an absolute BLAST at Twisted Broadway! Penny was our server and she was Devine, so attentive, genuine, welcoming and beautiful! The show was FUN, we enjoyed the vibes!! It was a very hot day/night so my son and I decided to have a night out on the town with the most Fabulous Queens in NYC!!! We had the meals with the show, and we each had a few drinks. Of course bring cash or get it there to tip the talented performers! I had The lobster ravioli, the sauce is so delicious. My son had the chicken parm with mashed potatoes and he absolutely loved it absolutely loved it! We each ordered a specialty drink which we both enjoyed! The only reason I give the food a 4 is because Ive had homemade lobster ravioli and the salad although tasted great, could have been better with fresh shaved Parm. But it was so good though!! I will go back if Im able to when visiting NYC!!🪅👑🏳️🌈🫶🏼🍹💞🧁👏🏼😋
I visited here for dinner for my friend birthday.Let’s talk about the food…the food was not worth $79.00.I ordered the jumbo shrimp Alfredo it was cold and half cooked 🤢🤢. The dessert was stale cookies . The show was pretty ok to me since it was my first drag queen experience we had a back table near the entrance so we didn’t have a clear view of the performances but we still had an enjoyable time . We received our bill at the end and noticed that we had a $121.00 gratitude added without our permission, we asked our waitress ‘ ALL BEEF PATTY’ to remove it and she did . When we were getting up from our table to leave we was told by ‘ALL BEEF PATTY’ not to come back because she did not receive the tip amount that she expected to. P.S THE GHETTO
The performances are great, but the customer service is even better! Each employee is super attentive and personable. It made the experience that much more enjoyable. I would definitely come again and will be recommending.
First and foremost, Heidi the drag queen physically forced me to “give them head” as an unwilling member of the audience. When I tried to pull away, I was yanked back and got a thumb in my eye socket in the process. This was filmed by my party and none of us felt comfortable staying after this happened - we brought it up with management and left. This was a disgrace to drag and a terrible experience overall, regardless of the quality of performances by other drag queens. I hesitate to say anything positive about this place given how disgusted I feel; under NO circumstance should an audience be subjected to NONCONSENSUAL involvement in the drag acts. Period. There is no excuse for Heidi’s actions. As a side note that could be overshadowed by the borderline sexual assault - the food was mediocre at best and the desserts, while cute, were pure sugar with no flavor.Avoid this place if you want good food and have a pleasant night. My eye still hurts.
Lips is my happy place :) I have been coming to lips since I was literally 10 years old I’m 25 now!! This place is everything to me. Give these queens all your coins. The queens stay slaying, the food stays slapping and the atmosphere is boots down. Miss Tiffany Anne Coke gagged my whole existence I love her she’s a real one fr
Listen. I LOVE drag. But this was terrible. Someone in my party was assaulted by the queen Heidi. We were having a fun time before this happened, but our experience was ruined. She grabbed him by the face near his eye and pushed his contact out of place. It could have turned into a serious injury. We also filmed it! So if youre the owner and you would like to see, we can provide that.I expect banter and profanity from drag queens, but it is absolutely unacceptable to be physically assaulted! Especially if someone is literally pulling away from you. Also, the food was very bad and overpriced. We spoke to the manager about what happened and were thankfully offered a. refund for the entire dinner and tickets.Dont go here!
The show was great and funny. The food was great except for my main dinner, the curried vegetables. They had no flavor, but that was the only downside. The drag queens were great and all had different talents from dancing to comedy to singing.
It was absolutely amazing, entertaining ,funny, just all around joy and funnn! #LipsNYC #buzzybooth
I had a great night, but the reason why I’m giving them a one star, is because apparently they are THIEVES. I was the last show of the night. Me and my party was the last ones to leave the establishment. I left something under the table that was a gift from our upcoming wedding celebration. I called the very next morning, and they said they haven’t “found” anything. Meaning one of the workers found it and had no heart or just simply are BROKE. So make sure you don’t leave anything behind because they will steal it and act as if it was never seen. SMH
We attended the dinner show. I made reservations prior to arrival which stated $15 for show and $20 minimum for food. Upon arrival and being seated, we were told we had to get the $42 meal option which included salad, entree, and a cookie. Alcohol is an additional charge which was fine. The show was pretty good. There were only 3 performers and the show only lasted a hour. We tipped the dancers pretty good throughout the show. It was also my gfs birthday so she went on stage with all 20 other birthday people. We received our bill $167.00 which I expected as we got food and alcohol. They also charge $15 if it’s your birthday. Our waitress took it upon herself to add 20% gratuity which was an additional $30 on top of what we tipped her throughout the performance. I fixed my card to where the exact $167 (excluding gratuity) would come out. I was then told my card declined. I asked her to take out the exact amount and not try to charge for $197 and I would leave a cash tip. She said I had to leave the cash right then and that she was ready to go home. I explained I was not leaving an additional $30 ontop of the tips I gave her during the performance. We left a $12 tip which was generous considering I felt I was trying to be bamboozled. I say all of this to say watch your checks when you cash out. The tip is not required but they will try to make it seem like it. Also, the small charges for random stuff. Overall the experience was okay.
I didn’t like how they rushed people to Order things and and if they person was there they made you tell them that we would have to order for them also one of them was very rude , and ignorant
Broadway Brunch was Amazing ! Such a great show and experience . Went for a friends birthday and this did not disappoint! So entertaining and fun. Looking for a great afternoon of laughs and just pure fun and actual talent look no further ! The food was good as well! I can’t wait to go back .
I was surprised at the great value for the dinner part. A huge serving of delicious pasta with lots of large fresh prawns. I could barely eat it all! Dessert was tasty too and I even ate the complimentary cookie. The cocktails were however awful and watered down. Take lots of dollars to tip the good performers, who lipsync to the songs.
This was an incredible night! My oldest turned 18 and the staff made the night so amazing. Thank you for the memories!
I LOVE LIPS!! This is my second time coming to this show. My waitress was beautiful and fabulous! The show was excellent and so was the food, and drinks. It was my sisters birthday and ( for an extra fee) she was given a crown, called on stage during the show for a birthday shout-out. They gave her a cupcake with a birthday candle and she took a picture with the performers. My girls and I had a great time.
Had a great first time here with my partner for his birthday. Yall made our night ❤️.Sorry that we almost forgot to pay for the second show, we were a bit distracted talking aboow fun it was!
Definitely fun atmosphere!!My first time going and i absolutely loved it!!Everyone was very nice from the managers to all the queens there.. the lady at the door ariana was very sweet..I had such an amazing time.. all performances was greatThe food was good. I will definitely come back here agian.Such a great vibe !!!! And special shout out to our server/drag her name was ALL BEEF PATTY!! She made sure we was good with everything .
First, I have to say, this place is great! The entertainment is amazing, the staff are awesome, the drinks, and the music are great too. However, the food is 3.5/4. The first time the chicken and waffles were good but the chicken was dry and bland. The second time I visited, I ordered steak and eggs over easy. Over easy clearly means the yoke is runny not solid. When we cut into the eggs all the uncooked, slimey, white of the egg leaked out to half the plate and under the steak. I have to admit it was gross. I could’ve eaten it with a spoon if I liked raw eggs. The waitress was so sweet and kind and offered everything but I was satisfied with the steak and potatoes. I don’t like anything after a complaint when it’s food either way. That was raw not over easy at all and very disappointing. I’m glad the steak and potatoes were perfect. It was very congested and disorganized outside at the entrance too. The line was everywhere and the customers that had just left were lingering directly in front of the place which almost caused an altercation because one lady kept bumping into another one. When I went there a month ago for the first time we were allowed to take pics and now, suddenly, an announcement was made that pics could not be taken during the show which was a bit disappointing too but understandable. Lastly, the picture for the bday is a disaster. It’s not centered, the drag queen was cut off on one side, and the angle made them all look sick which included my guest. The reason is because the lazy worker who takes the pics conveniently sits on the stairs instead of standing up and taking the pics with care. These pics are not free. Both times I’ve been there, he just sits there and holds the camera up sideways. Seriously?….We expected Ginger Snaps to be there but she wasn’t there. ☹️☹️☹️🙄🙄🙄Chandelier and the other ladies rocked it out though.Again, the drinks, the music, the place itself, the cleanliness, and most of all, the entertainment are great!! I would definitely return and I definitely recommend it. Awesome!!!!10sssssss across the board!!♥️
I went on a Saturday in memory of a friend. The food was great I had salmon,my sister had steak and a friend ate shrimp pasta. They were all good I cleaned my plate! The mini desserts were good as well. The place is small and cozy. Only a few restrooms which were clean. I did not like my drink much neither did my company. They got something else I just drank water. Next time I will try something frozen. We attended the 9:00 show and waited outside for about 35 or 40 minutes. It was cool the wind was blowing and it started to drizzle. I wish they had a heater or some kind of cover for the sidewalk. Bottom line I will go again. Maybe try karaoke night or another theme. The ladies work hard for their money. Very entertaining and worthwhile.!😘
Me and my coworkers went here yesterday the ambience was very nice the show felt very rushed the food was OK I will agree with some of the other reviews that it is very money driven they do expect tips and they do you charge a 20% gratuity. The only positive thing about the whole time we were there was Empress Vizcaya, she was incredible and if I could just go there to see her perform I will pay all the money in the world. Would I give them another shot probably not I feel like it’s very overpriced for what they’re giving you and it felt very rushed and to be honest most of the performers seemed annoyed with us even being in their presence. And let me make this clear don’t nobody come for me and these comments when it comes to reviews I’m a huge supporter of the LGBTQ plus community but they all had a nasty attitude in this building and I don’t pay any money for nasty attitude is the same feeling I would have if somebody worked as a cashier at a grocery store if you don’t like your job by all means get another one and they seem very annoyed with the fact that they were even performing for us so again I would not spend my money here go elsewhere there are plenty of other wonderful drag shows throughout Manhattan and the performers probably actually care about performing
Shiny penny was our server and one of the queens!! She did amazing. This was my first show ever and it was just downright fun, hilarious and overall entertaining!
Family and I had a fantastic time here! Food and drinks were okay. Performances were 100/10! Definitely recommend and I definitely want to come back!
My girlfriend and her roomie were visiting from Mexico (thank you so much to Sofia who took care of us in spanish from the moment we arrived until we left!) we had a brilliant time as always (ive been going to LIPS for 20 years) the shows as always are killer!! the food has really gone up in quality! And thank you Penny, our marvellous waitress!
You will have the time of your life. The girls are amazing in their performances and make sure everyone is having a great time! Food was also 10/10 got the salmon. Do the dinner/show package👍👍
This was one of the highlights of my trip to NYC. I went to the Sunday Broadway brunch and had a blast! The food was awesome and I got unlimited mimosas, all for a good price. My server was the best, and took excellent care of me. The entertainment was amazing! First, Ginger Snaps is hilarious!! All the queens were super talented and made sure we were all having a good time. I honestly hadnt laughed that much in a long time, and everyone around me was also having a great time. Loved the over-the-top decor. The next time I visit NYC, Ill definitely go here again!
BIG WOW! I was brought to Lips to celebrate my upcoming marriage. Our party had the immense pleasure of being seated with Ms. Tiffany Anne Coke who brought the joy and a level of glamour to our brunch that really set the stage for the the spectacle that was to follow! She even gave me a crown! And bobby pins! The performances were incredible! I also loved getting to feel like a star myself when I got called on stage when they celebrated the brides. It meant so much to have something so huge for me (getting MARRIED *eeeek!*) celebrated in front of everyone. So thank y’all for that. And honestly… the MC made my day… she was freaking hilarious. Crying laughing was a great way to end my bachelorette trip. I can’t wait to make my way back to Lips ❤️
We loved LIPS for a special occasion, especially being that it was my Mom’s first drag experience! While this area is known for being harshly overpriced, we still had a great time. The food was mediocre at best, but the show made up for it!
Took my sister for a bachelorette party. The food was average. Drinks were extremely overpriced. My main issue though was the timing..that was the shortest show Ive ever been to. I mean it was like 5 performers who each did like 3 or 4 minutes...and for that we each paid like $130. Not worth it...please lengthen the show!
WE HAD THE MOST AMAZING TIME!!!! so thankful for sophia and edward, they made us feel like VIPs all nightfood was AMAZING and the drag was out of this world. SPEND YOUR MONEY AT LIPS
I took my son here for his birthday today for the Brunch and show and Im glad I did ! It was so much fun. I havent laughed so much since this horrific pandemic presented itself. My son enjoyed it just as much and the food was good as well. I will definitely go back for a girls night out soon. 💋Thank you divas for the great time.
Absolutely brilliant drag, but the food is appalling. My advice - eat before, order minimum spend on food on something like spinach dip, and just enjoy the show! This is pricey compared to other drag venues for sure, but its super inclusive if this is your first time! If willing to forgive the food, you will love this! Shiny Penny is a particular highlight, and Tuesday karaoke is very fun!
Yesterday was my 32nd birthday and I came dressed to impress with a group of 12. I looked and felt like a princess and the ladies of lips were Fantastic. Our host who was also celebrating her birthday and our waitress were both so funny, engaging and sweet. They also both performed and were both amazing. All the performances as a whole were outstanding. The food was so delicious and the ambiance was just perfect. The decor of the restaurant was absolutely gorgeous and perfect to take pictures. Thanks to ladies of lips this years birthday has been my best birthday yet and will be one of my most memorable.
I had such a wonderful time with my friends, can’t wait to go back. Everyone was so fabulous and so sweet. The show was amazing, the mimosas were flowing endlessly, and the food was quick and great.
The Broadway Brunch at lips was great! Empress was a wonderful waitress and never let our mimosa pitcher rub low. The show/bottomless brunch was worth the price of admission. I would recommend this show for anyone. undefined #buzzybooth
This was our second time at lips for their Christmas extravaganza and worth every penny!! Although the drinks have definitely increased since we were there two years ago we understand that after COVID and hard times this is necessary at times. We said it the first time and we will say it again... The food is fantastic, the drinks are strong and tasty and the performances including the MC and her superb roasting abilities made our entire visit to NYC. See you next year!!!
This show was spectacular. Came here for a bachelorette party. They accommodated a group of about 14 of us. The hosts were amazing and also took part in the show itself. The food was a little on the salty side but they made up for it in showmanship, dancing ability, and sense of humor. I also have to say, the decor and building itself is gorgeous inside. Thanks for the great time!!!
Avoid if you dont want to be ripped off!!! Our overall experience was v poor and we would not recommend this particular drag show to anyone. We did not consider the show to be good value for money. Our servers attitude was pretty poor and at times rude. The food was barely edible and the booze was also of poor quality and overpriced. The performance from the drag artists themselves didnt last v long, most of the show was taken up with wishing strangers a happy birthday. Unfortunately, the overall experiencewas very underwhelming and expensive for what you are getting.
Went here for my bachelorette party,, it was phenomenal! The food was delicious and all of our drinks were super strong! All of the queens were friendly and amazing. I will say that you need to make sure you get early reservations because we had a back table by the bar and no queens came over to dance. So they need to work the ENTIRE place. But we had Shiny penny for a serve/hostess and she was fantastic! Definitely a place to visit for a good dinner with a show!
I had the most amazing time celebrating my birthday at Lips!!!! The Queens made me feel so special and their performances blew me away!
Very entertaining, meal was good with a decent range of entrees options for the saturday show. Did seem like the queens were more tip oriented than focusing on the performance but understandable.
The show was amazing! The staff overall was super friendly and even the decor was fun to look at. The food in earnest was pretty hefty so you really don’t need to get snacks or anything before you come in, same goes for the drinks which are pretty big too. Would definitely come again! undefined #buzzybooth
The show is definitely the highlight of this experience. The food isnt bad either. Service is ok a bit rough around the edges. Bathroom cleanliness was questionable. Didnt like we had to wait 20 minutes in the cold either.
PERFECT EXPERIENCE!. I recommend the lobster ravioli it was amazing. Show and staff were amazing and cant wait to go back!
This place was amazing. Every single person that worked there was extremely nice. The bartender was amazing as well. She was nice to everyone, made great drinks, and she was working hard all night as was everyone else. The show was so entertaining. Would 100% recommend coming here. I know I’ll be back soon!
We really expected to see some sort of show. Instead the performers were on stage for 30 seconds then spent the rest of their time running around collecting their tips while singing. Was disappointed. Food was not good but wasnt expecting it to be. Drinks were expensive. Dinner, one drink and the show were over $100.
So much fun. The staff are amazing and so very talented. The food was very good and the drinksalso. The only issue was the bathroom being upstairs. My friend has MS and needs help to walk etc. The stairs are impossible for her. A bathroom mainly for patrons with as disability on the lower level would be great. She lived the evening but wont be able to return because a bathroom is a need for her. That was the reason for 4 stars.Otherwise the show was Absolutely Fabulous and you Rock.
The BEST. Had the time of my life there. The food is amazing and the drinks are strong. Out of everywhere we went in NYC, this had BY FAR the nicest people. Already planning our second trip in just for this show. Its definitely a must see. They work the crowd very well and know how to have a great time.
Best dinner that Iv had in all during our stay in New York, the show was so good and funny, the night we went was Twisted Broadway & it was fantastic. All the staff there went above and beyond, would recommend it to everyone
I took my family we had a blast. I Will back again
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!We were very excited to try our first drag show and paid 70$ per person for it with 20% mandatory gratuity. The red headed lady serving us named Gigi was RUDE at best. She gave us eye rolls when we asked for hot water. The entertainers didn’t seem welcoming at all. MEDIOCRE performances and TERRIBLE food. TIPS for you: Take your time and business somewhere else.
Spent $460 for 3 people to watch the show, eat dinner, have drinks, and tip the queens. (We got two frozen drinks, and one buttery nipple each) The experience was not worth almost $500. Half of the show was just people who’s birthday it was going up on stage and taking a photo or having a “catwalk contest”. It felt like so much forced clapping after the 7th birthday and catwalk contest. We saw only maybe 30 minutes of the drag queens unenthusiatically performing. It was like an adult Chucky Cheese. A burner show that once you see it, you have no reason to ever go see it again. Dinner was served quick, but was just okay. The whole experience felt very artificial. My advise: go spend your money on dinner/drinks anywhere else you want. And then go see a drag show at a bar with cheap cover.
We were sitted behind a column all we saw if the show was the column and occasionally the side of the entertainers in the back ..horrible view but others at the show appeared to be enjoying..I sat and took selfies since I couldnt see the stage at all
This was the BEST experience of my entire life ! I celebrated my 23rd birthday at LIPS & boyyyy did they NOT disappoint! I was brought up on stage and laughed my a** off with these lovely ladies! What an awesome performance! Highly recommend to all my friends, family and anyone I engage with who are looking for an awesome night out!
Just attended a bridal shower for my sister Glenda yesterday. Didn’t know what to expect, since this is my first time here. I had a blast for I don’t go out much. I really enjoyed myself. They really go out of their way to brighten your day. “SPREAD THE LOVE” if I make it to my 65th birthday, this is the place I would celebrate. 4 more years to go. Hope they are still around.😊😊❤️❤️
Where do I begin with this place. I absolutely will go back. It was a birthday surprise for my birthday from my fiancee and it was perfect! I loved my waitress Empress she did an amazing job I loveddd her outfit and her hair was perfect our host ginger was hilarious and his performances were great. The food was delicious I just loved everything about it. I have the best time!
This place is fun. I had my daughters sweet sixteen here. They were very accommodating about seating our large group. I order from the middle group menu. I had pasta and it was very good. I loved the entertainment. Definitely an experience one must have.
Had an amazing time - we didnt get the dinner, just sat at the bar and had drinks. We just chatted with the bartender (Frankie, whom I absolutely loved) and watched the show, had an amazing night. It is so fun, and i went with my mom & aunt, wasnt entirely sure how they would react, but we had a great night. Had to stabilize the ladies on the walk back to the hotel, hah! The performers are fun and friendly, we had great service. Totally recommend for a fun night out.
So much fun and funny!! Definitely coming back
We had a ball. I took my sister for her 50th birthday 7 uears ago and we are still talking about the show. There were men and qo.wb in the group. Mostly nieces and nephews . My sister had re entry loss her husband and needed to celebrate her birthday. Great ti.e had by all. Food, fun, drinks and a show. It was great!!!
Went to lips for my wifes 51st birthday. And we were not disappointed. We had about 15 people and we were accommodated very nicely. My wife had a blast and even left with a nick name Carmela, she actually wants to be called Carmela now. Ginger Snaps was amazing and she was definatly the hit if the show. I know this may not be the New Yorker brunch, but its a great show and the food is good. The show is the main attraction, so dont go crazy trying to critic the food. Drinks were strong and tasty. Go to the show and have fun.
From a foodie, new yorker, and member of the LGBTQ+ Community:the food was alright, service was good, but the show wasn’t great. Majority of the show was just lip syncing and collecting money from the audience with the exception of two performers who ACTUALLY had TALENT. Also even if you didn’t like your service you still have to pay gratuity and the seating “fee” of $15 PER person. You’re better off eating takeout and watching train performers with a bunch of friends. It’ll save you the money and be more entertaining.
Personally would never return to this place unless they changed some things. Way too money focused. Automatic 30% gratuity charge which they hide from you. Audience is well.. either young or idk naive. (I can’t even say they’re mostly tourists because it’s such a tourist trap ) most of the audience I was surrounded with was actually from NY ( but mostly the Bronx so maybe that makes sense.. ) beware this place is focused heavily on young girls celebrating their birthday, Or a bachelorette ( no friend should ever let their girlfriend have a bachelorette here. Who wants to share this day with 4 other 20 something year old birthday girls ? ) This place is def not worth the price currently. They automatically include nearly a 30% gratuity which IS a hidden charge, & is ridiculous because on their website it says 20% suggested tip. This is clearly a lie. but on top of this during every short performance the performer goes into the audience to collect money. Just about every table would give out cash every time. It feels awkward if you don’t but it just shouldn’t feel necessary to even give cash when there’s a overly generous forced tip included at the end ? I didn’t realize it would be similar to a strip club without the stripping. Perhaps specify this somewhere on your website or to guests when they enter. I was expecting just a dinner & show. It’s a shame because some of the entertainers seemed to have potential.. i actually found some of the show to be quite funny. This was literally the only upside though. It’s obvious the staff is desperate for cash and it just takes away from the experience. Maybe covid impacted them idk, NYC is unfortunately just too expensive for everyone but I literally felt like I was in Egypt with the way they pressed for tips. So yeah, it’s not a high class place or something. Just an over priced semi comedy show with some dancing and money grabbing, with food included ( at least )
