I recently attended a concert at Irving Plaza to see Matise perform, and it was an amazing experience! The staff at Irving Plaza were incredibly friendly and made sure everyone had a great time. The venue itself was intimate and perfect for a live show. Matise put on an incredible performance, and the sound and lighting systems were top-notch. I highly recommend Irving Plaza to anyone looking for a great concert experience in the city. The staffs friendly service and the venues overall atmosphere made for an unforgettable night!
Amazing place for an entrainment time here . Specially that this place is open for all the people who we like rock music and enjoy it. I came here for my first time to check on one of my fav bands from Mexico 🇲🇽. And it was really good . Im ready to go to my next gig in June. Thanks to Irving Plaza to have the doors open for foreign bands
This was the most unorganized venue I have ever been to. I have worked 400 venues in my life time and the people were very cooperative with me and the touring team. When it comes to communication, there was none. The security team at Irving Plaza forcing the artist I’m on the tour with to not come in. Second, a list was generated without our consent with people we didn’t even know. Third, credentials were not provided for me at the venue (Even though I’m with the artist) so it made it very difficult to be with the artist. Speaking with the Mgr. Ms. Rivera was very delightful. She understand the situation and she allowed me to undergo with handling the artist affairs. But every 5 seconds, I’m being harassed by security due to credentials (even though I’m leaving). This is the worst venue I’ve ever been to. This venue needs to be revamped, and develope great communication with the tour mgr, artist production mgr, and their team. And the security needs to also understand their “CHAIN OF COMMAND.” This is how everyone will get loss in communication.
Great and clean Venue, clean bathrooms, plenty of exit signs/locations and ample parking lots. The only issue I had was the acceptance of marijuana and tobacco use. I was engulfed in heavy films of smoke and left there smelling like a smoke shop. This wouldn’t be a place for someone with asthma, etc. Other than that, great location.
I absolutely adored this venue. two floors with two big bars and enough bartenders. the stage lights and camera were super good quality. they had these conveniently placed tvs, and i swear i could see the stage better on the tv than with my own eyes. i saw an experimental group, so their sounds are intense, and the venues speaker quality could match it beautifully. great bass all around the floor, and if you gotta run to the bathroom, you can still hear your favorite playing, which i highly appreciated. they have a coat check and good security. i found it to be a very environmentally conscious venue since they used eco-friendly soap and the paper towels were cut perfectly to what you need so theres no waste. that on top of it being sponsored by liquid death, makes it seem like they care which is nice. the decor and vibe of the venue were everything. really really hope all my shows are here now lol
One of my least favorite venues to see shows. Nearly all the security & staff is extremely rude & nasty...one women in particular gave my partner a hard time on 3 separate occasions. She saw me with a C4 at the end of the line outside and told me to get off her line drinking... I dont even drink. They are often moving the outside line, and people loose their place. They make it extremely confusing & give you an attitude & when you dont understand their process. They also tried to kick my partner & I off line for cutting (after they moved the line & couldnt remember us) until 10 of our surrounding line buddies vouched wed been there freezing our butts off in November for an hour. As we speak, Im on line outside in the pouring rain waiting to be let in an hour after they were supposed to. Most the issues are related to staff and their unorganized processes of letting people in.Update; they now also confiscate prescribed medications.... so if you need medications for an event, make sure its not more than whatever they think you need (love when venues play doctor). They were like everyone does this, never in my life anywhere, and i go to shows ALL the darn time (without issue). Idk the legality of this nonsense, but it was pretty infuriating... since people easily sneak vapes, illegal drugs, and are getting hammered. This place got more rules than the airport & most employees are ruder than the tsa. Why do my bands play here?! Please dont. 😭
One thing that really stood out to me was the DJs ability to read the room and adjust the music accordingly. They seemed to have a great sense of the vibe of the crowd and knew just when to drop in a classic track or a new hit to keep the energy flowing.Overall, I would highly recommend Irving Plazas event Do anyone looking for a great night out. The music was on point, the sound quality was excellent, and the DJ really knew how to keep the crowd engaged and dancing. It was definitely a night to remember!
I love seeing live music but I avoid this venue. The venue itself is great and of course, you have the standard overpriced drinks (think $20 a cocktail). But it’s the security. They don’t warn you what they’re about to do like the TSA. They just start checking you like you owe them money. In particular, the one I got straight up molested me (think touching breasts but not with the back of her hand). She was a woman so I guess she thought she could do whatever. She thought I had something in the middle of my breasts… it was my bra wire. They check you more thoroughly than an airport and for what? By the time I got inside I felt so icky I just wanted to go home.Because of that experience, even if I like the band playing, I’m never coming back here.
Horrible experience 1st time here, if its up to me itll be my last hopefully. I carry my medication with me, including my ADHD medication. All prescription stuff (I didnt bring any proof because Ive literally never been given a major issue about my meds before from any venue security) but I had to throw out my ADHD medication or I couldnt go in. Ruined my mood from the start.Ambiance and interior was definitely nice and sound was fine, in terms of that and functionality it was a good venue. But the security during the concert was really aggressive and persistent on stopping people from recording, it really put a damper on the mood and came off unprofessional and unnecessary. This venue alone would make me consider not going to a concert unless they are one of my fave artists. Dont plan on returning.
The venue is very aesthetic and it has a great ambiance. But the attitude of the staff makes the whole experience so difficult and frustrating. My friend was pulled out of the standing room crowd for holding a cup of water she got FROM THE VENUE. Other staff was rude while I was asking simple questions, and they did not know the answer when I asked for directions to the stage. Overall worst experience all due to how rude and obnoxious the staff is.
Went to a show last night and 100% give the security team a raise! I ended up passing out from what I can only assume was being overheated, I have never passed out before so it was wild for me, but the security team was on it and so kind! They let me cool down in the stairwell with water and the door open so I could still hear the concert then took me to a better spot under a vent to enjoy the rest of the show. True gems!
Haven’t been to this venue on over 20 years. Overall still pretty good. One thing though… we don’t need your girls coming up to us and hustling to pay more for some kind of VIP seat. I’ve said it before, these Live Nation venues are a scourge. They’re ruining the indie music scene, and I hate them for it.
Been a while since Ive been here. Still a great place to see a show.Despite the entrance line wrapping the block, they got us all in promptly enough. The sound was very clear from the speakers.Spent a little extra to get into the little vip area in the basement for this show, was worth it for the clean bathrooms and comfy seat in between acts.
Loved this venue! So much history and a very well maintained facility with great acoustics! The staff were great checking us in and the security were good guys!Saw the ARKELLS (great band - check them out) with Mobley who opened for them.My only knock was that thw drinks are damn expensive but its NYC and it is what it is.AMAZING CONCERT and a fabulous venue!
Place is great, management is terrible. They dont know how to properly work well and have serious attitude issues. We tried helping the security with the issue of the passes for people in line, and they refused to listen to us and then screwed up big time at the end and we were genuinely respectful and polite and honestly didnt deserve them being rude and obnoxious to all of us.
Irving Plaza is an incredible venue!! I recently came here to see Yoke Lore + girlhouse and the show was amazing. I attribute so much of that to this space - it was intimate and despite being standing room only for gen admission, I still felt so close to the artists and so comfortable throughout my experience. I will definitely return here, this is a great spot to attend shows!!
Haven’t been here in YEARS! Love the dark colors, great sound quality, there are multiple bars, and entry was easy. My only challenge was it was hard to see the artist depending on where you were standing. I think the stage needs to be a raised a little to accommodate people and their phones/lights. I am pretty tall so if I could barely see, I know shorter folks were struggling. We walked around a little to find a good spot.
Cool venue great size and very clean. Saw Bas and J. Cole popped out!!! So amazing but the venue itself is beautiful a few big beautiful bars all around and staff was very friendly
This is an awesome venue. Saw The Strokes here in June 2021. I got lucky and scored some balcony tickets, which featured a very close and personal experience with the band and opening acts. The sound was great and the venue was clean. Drinks were overpriced (definitely expected for NYC), but they were really strong and good drinks. Overall a great experience. I’d definitely come here again if an artist I like is on the bill.
Had a great time with the venue, and especially with two of the bartenders, Julian and James. Super cool guys and great service from both. Highly recommend coming here and if you run into either of them as your bartender, congratulations!
Venue has a good selection of artists performing (probably the best perks), sadly owned by Live Nation.Location is really nice.Staff is a mixed bag, some very friendly some painfully dumb.Considering the canned beers are $15, staff expecting to be tipped is a bit outrageous to me. At this price, I sure hope they get a more than decent wage. If they dont they should ask for it.
Been going to Irving Plaza since 1985-86. Came to see The Damned last night for Halloween so figured we’d finally get the loft package and VIP lounge access. What a scam! We go to the VIP section upstairs and are told that the lounge is actually in the basement, and to access the VIP area with seats we’d have to pay an additional fee! Seriously? Then once the bands started playing we were told we could no longer use the loft level restroom, and had to go down two flights of stairs to use one. The “loft” area which we were allowed to watch the show in was full of people who obviously never attended a punk show before. I’m done with this place that once featured amazing shows but has now become not only a tourist trap but a major scam. Our bartender (who was excellent at least) noticed how aggravated we were and said, “You have a right to be.” I rest my case.
The security was absolutely disgustingly rude and inpatient to the point I was left trembling as I finally entered the venue. Im not the brightest bulb in the box, I’ll be the first to admit. But they had a special way of making me feel incompetent; to be honest I think they enjoy yelling and shouting at the guests. Not only that, but standing in line with my friend for merch, a random man who worked at the venue started screaming at me and the people behind me to move forward on a staircase, sardining us on this staircase wanting us to separate from the people/person we came with. Show time on the tickets said 5:30, and said doors generally open an hour before showtime. We arrive at 4:30, it was pouring rain, and freezing. We wait until after 5:30 for them to finally start getting people into the venue. The only positives to this venue was that it was small, so it felt like you could really see the band from no matter where you stood. Only giving this two stars because the band was good and not having to deal with any other staff members after getting thru security and merch was nice 😊 honestly wish artists chose a different venue.
I’ve been to many venues in NYC and surrounding areas. Took forever to come inside. Waiting for 45 minutes in August heat are you kidding me? Will never come back to this venue. The line doesn’t move
Very lovely place and the bar was nice. But make sure you give a tip to the bar tenders lovely sweet ladies and helpful. Very much enjoyed myself at the Hunxho Concert.
The most unprofessional venue I’ve ever been to. Staff, except for one security, were disgustingly rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. No one knew what they were doing, especially when it came to forming lines and vip sectioning, and just yelling and anyone for no rhyme or reason. I also unnecessarily paid to get my umbrella coat checked because I was told I couldn’t bring it to the pit but others had their umbrellas in the pit. Do better.
Been here twice for concerts and each time, waited 1.5+ hours to get in. a concert is said to start at 7, and by 8 i am still two blocks down the line waiting. i dont think id ever come back here after the last time, especially during the summer
The staff was extremely rude. I was up on the balcony and a crew member kept telling my sister and I and a bunch of other people to not stand in a certain spot because we were blocking the way. Once the show started with openers people started to stand in said spot and block the way and when I confronted him about why he didn’t tell them to move he said there’s nothing he can do and can’t control what people do when he was literally doing that earlier and was acting stupid about what I was saying to him. I’m never coming here again.
Just left a benefit show at Irving Pl. after the city denied license for benefit to be in Tompkins square park, Irving Plaza saved the day. Good venue great visibility but the true stars are the security staff. Hardcore shows can be rough but these guys were great. A BIG SHOUTOUT to Alex and Alexis, they looked after the boisterous crowd like guardian angels! Best attitudes ever! Thank you gentleman! Whatever you’re paid you sh get double!! ❤️👍
Good sound but dont pay for Loft tickets. Unless you get to that area as soon as they open and stay in one spot it isnt worth spending almost double.
This was my first time back at Irving Plaza in years. I was happy to see it is in great shape, having been renovated in 2019 or so. Overall it is a nice, small, historic venue in a great location, but I definitely have some tips for a better experience next time. This review is specifically about going to a “seated general admission” comedy show. (Yay David Cross!!!)1) The ticket time is the time the doors open. Our tickets said 7:00, so we got there at 5:45, thinking doors open at 6:00. We weren’t the only ones confused, as a line of us formed and we all had to wait outside for an hour until doors opened at 7:00. The show didn’t start until 8:20.2) Our show was billed as “seated general admission” with the option to have “preferred balcony” which we did. Unless you want to stand up the entire time, save your money and just get general admission tickets. There are no seats in the preferred balcony. I can see doing that for a concert, but for comedy, I’d rather sit. So we wasted our preferred ticket money and sat down on the floor seats. There are VIP “table” balcony tickets but those cost more and we’re already sold out.3) If you have a car and want to drive, there is an entire block directly in front of the entrance that opens up at 6pm. It’s “commercial only” until then.4) The air conditioning really gets pumping, so for a comedy show when you’re not moving it can get a little chilly.5) Bathrooms are really nice.6) The security check was a bit intense, as they very thoroughly searched every single bag including any small pouches or wallets inside the bags. Save yourself the hassle and bring only the bare minimum.7) They have a full bar and even a few small snacks such as pretzels and chips. Popcorn popper was out of order unfortunately!8) Sound quality was good and the small size of the place is a plus.
Still the best live music venue in NYC. Good sight lines, small and intimate and great sound. Been to several dozen shows here over the years. Favorite spot to hang is upstairs in the back, even though they now charge you VIP access for that. Pics below are from the Celebrating David Bowie show in Feb 2018.
The venue gets pretty crowded very quickly, the long lines outside will be your first clue. Keep in mind that this is a STANDING ROOM ONLY venue so be prepared to be packed in like a sardine with people super close to each other. The best place to be in is more towards the front middle so you can see, hear, and enjoy the performance without feeling like you will lose your hearing. Drinks are overpriced as with almost all event venues but on the plus side there are some neat restaurant bars in the area that you can check out before or after the show.
Great small venue for music. Not a bad spot in the place since its so small. You feel really close to the stage and the band. Gritty vibe throughout; perfect for such a venue. Cool lighting. Good acoustics - not overpowering for the size. Of course, no seats - all standing, as expected in such a place.
Irving plaza has been one of my favorite concert venues for over a decade! Ive seen G-Unit here, Jadakiss, Griselda, Kid Ink and many more! Absolutely love it but be prepared to pay a high fee for drinks! A bottle of water was $8 and they dont let you keep the top so it will spill
I was attending the Kevin Gates concert & 2 girls in front of me were fighting and I caught the girls punch as she swung to my nose and I got kicked out! I had nothing to do with the fight and was trying to watch the concert when I got hit. This is absolutely insane and Ill never come back. I drove 5.5 hours for this concert!!!
Took 1 step outside after the Sunny Day Real Estate show, if that. I was standing in the doorway looking if the group I came with went outside, when I didnt see them and started going back in to see if they went to the merch booth, the most insanely rude Irving Plaza staff running the door grabbed my arm and wouldnt let me back in under any circumstance. I really didnt even leave. Next time its a toss up between an NY show at Irving Plaza or anything else on the tour in NJ or PA, I will be skipping Irving Plaza automatically.
Lets start with the Venue. Irving Plaza, small and tight but more than enough room to have a great time. The staff were AMAZING!!!Jay, (Doorman/ security) Peter ( security) and Armando ( bartender) were the nicest people I have ever met. Someone in our party was on crutches and Jay brought the entire group (4) up to the balcony to watch the show from the handicap section. All night Peter was checking in on us and offering us chairs and keeping the floor spotless so we wouldnt slip on spilt drinks. Armando, as handsome as he is charming! Great service and an all around lovable human being! Now for the concert... Hot Mulligan was absolute perfection as always. Knuckle Puck was phenomenal! The lighting and sound were perfect. I have never seen a production run so smoothly. This is my second time seeing this tour and I will absolutely be seeing them again before the end of the tour.As for Irving Plaza, I cant tell you when Ill have the need to go back there seeing its 3 hours away, but I will go out of my way to find shows there because of the experience we had.
The worst experience ever. Attended KMFDM concert. First of all, they made us wait outside for 50 minutes under soaking rain. The event started with terrible sound that eventually got better. Band played less time than we have been waiting on line to get in when members decided that it was time for a break. We have waited for them to come back for about 15 minutes and then decided that it was not worth it and just left.
This is a standing room only venue, and because of that the performances are very intimate. Just be wary that you will need to stretch out for a bit, or just continue moving, which is kind of hard when the place is packed. Food is expensive, but that is expected. Bathrooms are clean, and that is always good. I wouldnt mind returning for another concert in the future.
A nice area on the first floor and a lounge in the basement (they also have a bar there so dont wait in line on the first floor). Upstairs is the stage, which is solid.
Went for emo night and had a good time. The venue was spacious and there are 2 bars one upstairs and another downstairs. My only issue was with security. They took my friends e-cig and told her she had to throw it out. Nowhere in the venue rules or policy did it say that they are prohibited. E-cigs are a very common thing so if they arent allowed people should know before hand. If its even an actual policy.
I have been to this venue quite a few times. We were in line to see KMFDM in the pouring rain. Security was moving slowly which is understandable. They didnt let us in till 7:40 (GA) and the concert started at 7:30. There were long lines for coat check and merch. It was a disorganized mess. I overlooked that. Anyways, I almost always purchase my drinks in cash at this venue. I ordered a diet Coke (no alcohol) and the bartender poured it into a cup of ice. This means I didnt even get the full can. I was tapping to pay and couldnt coz it turns out I have to tip before payment on the screen. The audacity ! My cup of ice with Coke was $6.53! So, you want me to tip you for my overpriced Coke, that I didnt even get in full before payment? And why were the ppl who orde Liquid Metal were allowed to have their cans in their hands? Disgusting business practice I must say....
I was treated very poorly by security. As soon as I came in the security at the door began shouting at me to empty my pockets( which I did) then they sent me to another security guard who made me repeat the process whilst speaking to me in a condescending tone, until she got annoyed and sent me through. In the middle of the show I went to the bathroom. When I returned a different security guard flashed a light in my eyes and hand were put on me. This would be understandable if I were doing something wrong, I wasn’t. I was walking to the standing room just as others were when a security guard began berating me. I asked if I had done something wrong and he just continued to yell and push me back.Needless to say I would not recommend anyone come to this place. The security needs to be retrained or replaced, before they have anymore events. A pathetic excuse for a venue. If I could leave 0 stars I would.
The venue is great, the sound amazing and the show espectacular. But 2 of the security access ladies were completely rude, disrespectful and abused of their power, they nearly didnt let me in. I travelled specially to NYC from Spain for this show, I had all my vaccines and ticket in order and because they were not used to a foreign covid certificate which by the way was in English aswell they treated me like I was going to get arrested. They didnt allow me to speak and try to explain, they were yelling at my husband because he didnt speak English and also mistreated the rest of my friends at one point I thought she was going to hit me. The rest of the staff were ok but these 2 ladies and I am sure everybody knows who I am talking about have serious issues and need anger management lessons, specially because they have to deal with lots of persons every day. It,s a shame because the venue is excellent.
Went here to see The Milky Way Tour 🥛 by Bas. It was a dope show. Cool venue for hip hop. 2 bars, one downstairs and 1 upstairs. $12 for a barcardi and coke. Coat check cost $4. Only 2 lines and it got so long people had to wait outside to get there jackets. Not me, skip the line nobodys gonna say nothing.
The worst experience ever, there were excessive amount of people smoking . Not only guests but security workers also. I would never return here again , I didnt even stay long because I noticed the smoking was going to continue throughout the night, complete waste of money and an outfit.
Iconic venue. Always a blast and security holds it down well with kindness. Sound quality is always good on the floor.
Great old school concert hall, located near Union Square. Decent sound. Security people were friendly and helpful, but the people in the ticket booth were unhelpful to the point of hostile when i had a problem with my mobile ticket. Extremely expensive bar (as always when Live Nation is the venue operator) with limited selection.
A couple other reviews have mentioned that the new balcony tickets are terrible - this provides a bit more context. This was my first time at this venue and I purchased “preferred balcony” seats for ~$25 more / head (vs. GA). These get you into only one side area of the balcony that provides ~10 people with a view of the stage. The rest (anyone not right by the railing) can’t even see the stage because it’s on the side and not directly facing the stage. They’ve sold 40-50 of these tickets, meaning 30-40 people in this area have no view whatsoever. They sell “prime” balcony seats on the day of for $50/60 a head. Spoke with 2 individuals in some type of managerial position to see if we could get the difference of our “preferred balcony” seats applied to the ~$100 we would need to pay to be able to see the concert (i.e. the original preferred balcony seats were useless). They were completely unaccommodating - it’s criminal to sell terrible “premium” seats and try to upsell you on top of that. If they sold the “prime” option as a ticket option from the get-go, I would have purchased it. You can see from the pictures how silly the premium balcony view is vs. What they try to upsell you. 2 stars because I like the artist.
Intimate venue. Sound was great.Bathrooms were clean and easy accessible.
This is an interesting venue, it has an interesting layout. The main floor is a floor up with merch and concessions when you walk in. There is also a balcony area which is really cool and that is also where VIP sections are. There is a bar on all three levels but expect prices to be pricey. There really isnt food available, just snacks and they are only available on the bottom floor. Security was standard getting in and seemed sufficient if needed while inside. Sound was pretty good overall. One thing they was of that the time on the ticket doesnt reflect the start time or the doors open time so be prepared to wait outside for a bit. Good experience overall.
If I could leave them a 0 I would! The most degrading, disrespectful, unprofessional security staff I have ever encountered in my life. There is a way to keep order for shows, but they are all on a power trip and enable each other, taunting and mocking fans while laughing amongst themselves about it. Nonstop screaming and threatening with NYPD when no one was doing anything illegal, while changing rules in a split second. What’s good for one person isn’t for another, especially if they know them personally. We caused absolutely no trouble, we were sincere and abided by the rules they enforced when they had no legal jurisdiction in the first place. We are working professionals and we were treated like we were criminals. It was absolute mayhem and uncalled for. Liz was the ONLY one of about 10 people working that was professional and respectful, management included. Where is leadership? Why are they treating people like they get away with this all the time?
It was my first time attending a concert at this place and was a bit impressed with their crowd control. Their security is no nonsense type of people and would kick you out if you don’t follow their rules. The ambience matched the crowd - young, hip and trendy. The place is kept clean and the line was organized accordingly.Overall, I look forward to watching more shows at this venue.
First time attending this venue and the experience was phenomenal. The show put on by Andrew McMahon and friends was of top quality. The facility seemed to be decently up kept. The sound quality though..... 👌🏻crystal clear and just the right volume. In the middle of the show someone was having health issues and the staff handled it very well. After the show they were even kind enough to get us some water while cleaning up.
I came to see ARIZONA in concert in November. They had such a great show! It felt very tight and it was hard to see the band with how much shoving was going on, especially with people going back and forth to the bar. However, it is a very intimate venue where you truly enjoy the group and their sound.
Security handled my friends and I distastefully last night and Im honestly so disgusted. It started with my friend being yelled at at the gate when she was denied entry with food items meant for the crew and artist; I understand why they could deny entry with foodstuffs, however she has been allowed to do so at this venue itself 2 other times. We were in line for hours and they saw her holding these items multiple times- never once did they give us an opportunity to take them back to our hotel or advise that they were not permitted. I had to check my personal protective weapon at the door, and when I asked if they could check the food with the weapon, they refused.Much more seriously, I became dangerously ill after having a drink. Discounting the inexperienced bartender with the heavy pour, one double rum and coke should not cause significant ailment in an individual. I stopped breathing several times, was disoriented, scared, and vomiting. I was thrown out of the bathroom and venue and my concerns dismissed; I was spoken to like vermin, at one point one of the guards snapping at me to get off of the ground and to stop making it worse for my sober friend. I thought I was dying and they were inconvenienced.Later I would discover that this was due to a drug interaction with one of my prescriptions that I take, something I didnt consider since it was well over 24 hours since my last dose. I did deny wanting EMS because Im just another broke American, but they should have called anyways as I clearly was not in a state to make that decision.I am beyond disappointed, I amd disgusted. Thank my lucky stars for my sober friend who nursed me back to health at the hotel as I proceeded to be violently sick for several hours and rely on my rescue inhaler for oxygen at one point. I could have died.
A great venue that has withstood the passing years. Simply a great place to catch a show now as it was in 1995. Irving Plaza will leave your ears ringing as the sound system is absolutely fantastic. The downstairs bar offers a getaway from the show should you need a break from the action. A definite must if offering an act you enjoy. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.
I went to go see Starset on 12/4/21, and was apprehensive about getting ADA accommodation for my disability. I was thoroughly impressed! The venue is gorgeous, the staff were incredibly helpful and supportive (Oscar and Liz were absolutely fab working with me, Brandon (hope I got his name right) was super friendly and helpful escorting us to the handicap section, Mike and Cesar were fantastic and friendly when they relocated me for the post-show signing). I am definitely excited to come here for more shows in the future!
Always a rocking good time here...not a bad seat in the house, although best vantage point is upstairs...whether it is Lainey Wilson or Juice...one of the best small venues, not only in the City, in the entire country!
My first time here for a concert. Im a little on the older side I didnt realize you had to stand for the entire thing. A few chairs along the perimeter would have been appreciated for us old folks. A one and done experience, the younger crowd was really enjoying everything. So dont take my criticism of standing seriously as Im just a senior citizen who cant stand long not a big deal. I will say the security staff was very pleasant joking and kidding with people that was very nice and one gentleman that my girlfriend a chair cuz she had had back surgery previous before the concert so that was very sweet of him.
Great space from the sound to the super nice staff! In an easy to get to and nice area as well. Not a fan of the artists they tend to book though as it seems they focus on the younger under 18/16 crowd and also once semi-popular artists who now are trying to make comebacks. Targeting this younger crowds musical taste has created a more under 21 friendly venue - and that sounds great in theory except the result is most bands play more dulled down sets to accommodate, the bands start and end early but never late (one of the 2 I get maybe? but to do both is frustrating..)Overall - its really a great venue for under 21 (where was this when I was that age?!) Theres never any surprises on how good the show and overall concert will be, which is slightly above average but not amazing or absolutely great. You always know what youll be getting here when you ckme see a show, down to almost each detail, which is rare at venues because usually a band and their crowd can change a place each night. At irving plaza, its always pleasant and a good show. Nice size and in addition to the floor seating, the upstairs has great views arranged so more people are able to watch the stage easily. Never had any issues with staff as theyre professionals and very nice/friendly/helpful. They are way less tolerant as a venue overall about nearly anything which makes sense however they at least are able to do so respectfully and in a polite way to concertgoers. Essentially they stop any nonsense before it begins (or evolves into a giant fight or something between drunk people that ruins everyones time) and in doing this and preventing larger incidents - they do come across as a stricter and more rules Than most venues.
This venue is amazing for concerts. I specially attend Metal shows. The sound is incredible the vibe is great, the size is excellent. And most of all, the pit etiquette is perfect
Second time Ive been here and again AC was turned to the max (Id get it if the place was full but it wasnt ). Good thing I remembered to dress warm and bring a scarf 🧣
Wonderful little venue! The staff are friendly and efficient, the bathrooms are clean, and everything was easy to locate (entrance, merch, coat check, etc.)
Went for a Berlioz jazz-house show. Packed but easy to access and quick entry and exit. Coat check was full though.
Went to an Andy Mineo concert here and it was off the chain amazing! Had an incredible time, if there was another performer going here, I would most likely go. The only thing was security was exceedingly tight, which is good for safety, but it did make things very difficult for my friends and I. My only complaint and it’s a little thing.
Great live music venue. I went to a show after a recent surgery where I didn’t know how long I’d be able to stand, and the team was so friendly and provided great accommodations for me. Looking forward to my next show here!
Went for BKtheRule concert. Nice venue. Nice workers!
Clean venue nice atmosphere. WAY too tight and clearly oversold. Bathrooms are nice but small. Standing GA area is too tight and packed and if youre at a metal show youll be moved around constantly and squished unless you get in the pit which is too small anyways. Seems to be oversold more than it used to. Gramercy is better.
Excellent staff, helped a lot with my disabled friend for the hippie sabatage concert!
I would give it five stars, because the atmosphere was great and it was easy to find, but the staff absolutely sucked. I was here on Sunday May 20th for the Miyavi concert with my best friend. We arrived a few minutes late for early access (we got VIP tickets), due to traffic. When we let someone up front know, they sent us to the BACK OF THE LINE. During security check, they were yelling at people, and had us separated into lines for males and females, I suppose to avoid sexual harassment. The woman who was checking me spoke rudely to me, telling me to move away from the door. She honestly looked and sounded like she did not want to be there, or as though I ruined hee day. After the concert, staff asked us if we had VIP bracelets for the Meet & Greet session, to which we responded no but proved we had VIP tickets. Someone promised us theyd be back with our bracelets. Fast forward almost 20 minutes later, and they never came back. I approached another staff member pissed off at this point, and told him what happened, from start to finish. He seeked out someone else, which happened to be the lady who was supposed to come back with our bracelets. She told my best friend and I that they had run out of bracelets but to keep the VIP tickets on hand. Are you kidding me? If a venue knows how many people have paid for VIP, shouldnt they keep those on hand? Not even five minutes later passed, when the same lady approaches with the VIP bracelets. They suddenly, magically had bracelets. Overall, our time there was mediocre at best. Staff is absolutely the worst. The only staff member who was kind was the gentleman at the door for the meet & greet.
Went to see Yussef Dayes perform. He had us wait 2 hours and it was very very cramped. Bathroom management was awful becuz they only had 2 single bathrooms in this entire venue and they closed the bathrooms at 10pm so some ppl couldnt use the restroom and just left. The drinks were ok. Not really worth the cheap price we paid for tickets to stand for hours to see an artist perform for just 55 minutes. Ill go if I get VIP tickets and wear a diaper
I prefer the smaller venues. Nothing rocks quite like Irving Plaza 🤟😆🤘
Attending the amazing Michael Schenker Fest Concert here at Irving Plaza including a meet a greet and sound check before the show is going to be forever etched in my mind as one of the greatest times ever for me. The staff was awesome handling a sold out show and the sound quality handling the four soaring vocalists and searing guitar licks, heavy bass, drums and keyboards were top notch as well.Thank You Michael Schenker, Despyre and Iving Plaza for making this happen here in Beautiful New York City 🤘🎸
TERRIBLE venue with AWFUL security and staff! I had all of my belongings stolen from me including social security, credit cards, house keys, and hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise (that I bought at the show). This all happened on November 11th (The Boxfest concert) I’ve tried contacting you guys several times and still no answers!!! Why is it so hard to check the security footage and give me a reply? No compensation nor compassion either? I would NEVER come back here! Id give 0 stars if I could
Sketchy bartenders… got two beers, came out to around $20, tipped 20%. Why is there a charge on my card for $39
Very small venue, went for sexy redd concert nearly got trampled in the crowd by big 6ft men. On top of that show started at 7:00 had us outside til after 7:30 performer never showed til probably after 10:30 waste of money! Literally couldn’t even move! I was so turned off I never got to see who I wanted to perform
1 security woman, and 1 of the bartenders was super rude like they didnt wanna be there....otherwise the staff and event space was amazing.
Great stage! Not too big to make you feel overwhelmed and you can be close to the band as the stage is low. Drinks were decently priced. Beers starting at $5.
I wish I could leave a zero stars by far the worst venue at controlling crowds their system in place has not worked every show I’ve been too is a mess !
Have been here a few times for shows now and I’ve had nothing but great experiences- special shout-out to Jen in VIP services and Kevin in security! Everyone here is so courteous, professional and kind! I always look forward to going to a show at Irving- it has become one of my favorite venues in the city!
Terrible acoustics and fast lane service is a waste. Makes you wait with the same group anyways once you’re in the building. Awfully organized and then complains about people pushing when they set it up that way. 2 stars for tom odell but 0 for the venue. I’ve sold my tickets to any concerts i had with this place.
My son went to a music concert on Nov 11 . Fight broke out at the venue. There was not enough security on the spot to protect my child, so everybody was trying to escape like hell. He was so frightened. During the caos, they lost his coat from the coat check, probably stolen. There is not enough security to secure the place.Never send your kids to this place, never..
They got this one security dude that’s super loud and obnoxious and was swearing all over the place at people in line. Other than that good experience
Finally made it to Irving Plaza. What a great venue. Small enough to feel like every show is intimate but not crowded. Stage high enough that youre not missing the show standing near the back. Sound was great, the staff was great, the bands were fantastic. We started out in the mezzanine behind the soundboard, after walking around NYC all day it was nice to sit and watch the opening acts before making our way to the floor. The mezzanine doesnt really offer the best views unless you pay for them, so beware. The area wasnt bad, just a bit distracting with the lights from the booth. Id not hesitate to see more shows here in the future. It was worth the trip.
We saw The Warning there recently. The band was great. I was not wild about the venue. They dont do a great job of getting people in there. The line to get in was backed up way around the corner. I go to a lot of concerts and I dont remember taking so long to get in a venue. They were also coming around the long slow line selling upgrades so you could get in faster. Kind of bogus.
Ive been here for 5 shows now, and its great. Not the best venue in NYC, but its nice for a good show with friends. Drinks are a little expensive, but pretty typical for this kind of venue. Acoustics are good, the atmosphere is fun and professional, and its a great spot for a concert.
Good venue. It wasnt totally clear where the stage was, but the staff was great. Beer prices were a bit higher than expected, but considering the location and event, it was understandable. Ill plan better for that next time.
Great time. One of the security guards by the stage kept nodding out though.
I usually have great experiences here. Security is typically pleasant and the venue is among my favorites. However, I attended the Nothing More show on Sunday night and my experience was less than great. Toward the end of the show (literally 3 songs left in the final set of the night), a woman randomly decided to attack me and the person beside me for no reason. When we shoved her off of us and told her to get away from us and leave us alone. She physically assaulted me, pouring her drink all over me, and elbowing me in the throat. She then attempted to get some guy she was with involved and tried to get him to fight as well. I didn’t touch anyone. I yelled at her to get away from me. After a few minutes, things calmed down and the two of them ran away. However, me, my boyfriend, and the person next to me (who also got attacked by the woman) suddenly wound up surrounded by security and when I asked why we were being removed, they wouldn’t respond and escorted us out of the crowd. We repeatedly tried to explain what had happened and were met with hostility and were told “when fights happen, we remove both parties.” To which we pointed out, they did not have both parties. All three of us reiterated the same story about the woman that attacked us for no reason. Eventually, one of the security guards walked away for a few moments. When she returned, we were told that they located the woman. She instructed the other security guard that he was to escort us back to exactly where we were all removed from the crowd. We were brought to a spot significantly further back than we originally were. They found the woman and man she was with trying to hide right behind where they escorted us. And we watched them forcibly remove them. Throughout the entire experience we were never once asked if we were okay or given an apology for our experiences. We were treated like criminals the entire time. And honestly it’s kind of soured my opinions of a venue I have always loved and had great experiences at. It was handled extremely unprofessionally. And it was extremely disappointing.
I’ve been to a couple of concerts at Irving Plaza and the venue itself is great! It has a pretty good sound system and I love how close you can get to artists. The whole experience feels super intimate. I also love that they offer the fast lane tickets so you can get right up to the barricade and skip the GA line, if that’s your thing. THAT BEING SAID, security is a literal nightmare. They’re rude, abrasive, aggressive and can’t wait to use their power trip on people. There’s one line for people with bags (which makes absolutely no sense) and the other people can walk by (also makes no sense). They also either pat you down or wand you, FYI so don’t have a lot in your pockets or they scream at you to take it all out. I’ve seen them yell at people for standing a couple inches to the left of where they wanted to pat you down. They called the cops to cite someone like 2 hours before a show for drinking a seltzer in line and this person wasn’t even on the venues property. They can’t wait to tell you no or belittle you. My advice - don’t bring a bag or a lot of stuff, get there early, and tolerate the security process because the show will make it worth it!
Absolutely beautiful venue, nice straight-forward layout...but my god the audio in this place is the best Ive ever heard. Whatever speaker and acoustics setup they have works wonders! Ive been here twice now and was blown away both times. Highly recommend!Be warned though, your eyes may water a little at the drink prices. Then again, what can you expect, thats New York 🤷♂️
I went to a CMA event here, and I had a great time. The acoustics were good for the performances as I was sitting towards the back of the room. Lots of staff members were on duty this particular night.
Nice venue, drink prices are ridiculous. I paid extra for the lounge, and an hour into the concert the bathrooms were overflowing. Dont waste your money paying for the lounge, 20 minutes after doors open all the bars had no lines
Amazing venue. Hadnt been there in over fifteen years when it was kind of a dump but its swanky af now. Staff is on point. If youre favorite band is playing here youre gonna have a good time.
Would rate 0 if I could. Second time coming here and the experience was exactly the same. You can’t move a single inch once you get inside the venue. It’s so overcrowded it feels like you can’t breathe. It’s definitely a safety hazard. I’ve been to smaller venues and never had an issue with the capacity. This venue clearly doesn’t understand their own max capacity cause they over sell tickets from both of my experiences.
Saw a show. Everything was great. Venue is clean, friendly and fun. There was one very pushy and aggressive staff member, but she was dressed like a concert goer, so I dont hold that against the venue. Good times, would recommend seeing shows there.
The venue is small and cozy. There are roughly 3bars. Food is limited inside (pretzel(don’t get the pretzel though it’s unbelievably SALTY,popcorn, various drinks) bathrooms on each floor, but still limited. Staff is okay. Place appears clean. Only issue I saw was the fact like most old buildings in Ny if there was an emergency I can see there being an issue with evacuation due to the fact that there are lots of stairs and to go from the stage area to outside with so many people would most likely be catastrophic. When show was over a lot of people seems to like to stand in the only way out and then not move at an appropriate rate and just linger at the stairs.
The shows are oversold. The concert was so packed you couldnt get anywhere in front of the soundboard without pushing. Bad sound and vantage points galore. This was the case two nights in a row. If you literally cannot get past the soundboard, youve got too many people in the venue. Everything behind the soundboard is under a low ceiling with atrocious views. Some were essentially forced to watch the show on televisions in the back because it was just hopeless. If the show is sold out, dont bother, unless youre early and have a super-human ability to hold off going to the bathroom for a few hours.
2 stars is all I could muster. The venue, Music and Sound, all good. The staff, drink prices, inconsistent drinks from one bar to the next and the lack luster VIP experience... A whole different story. Its important to have good staff in a place like this. You have some extremely RUDE employees working parlor Bar, front doors, and the Box Office. Wow. Time to re-examine the VIP experience as well. Was great to meet the band... But thats it? No early drinks, no early entry, no kindness? Cmon. Do better. Two canned Bacardi drinks = $30+ dollars. Omg. People. I know its NYC and I know its a concert. But... Wow!
Didnt realize the set up wThe way it was until I purchased the tickets. It stated seats and row. Then it was first come first serve. Praying $167 x2 and its first come first serve. Im pissed!!? Love the Lox but never will I go to this venue
This is easily the most horrible venue I have ever attended a concert at. Not only was security rude, ignorant, and simply aggressive, we were kept in the pouring rain with 40 degree weather. Our concert was supposed to begin at 7, but this idea was quickly disbanded when we were at the back of the line that still remained WRAPPED AROUND THE BLOCK at 7:05. We arrived at 6:35 where there was no sign of checking anyone in though. However, great for their merch sales, as everyone was so soaked that you needed to purchase a sweatshirt in order to even have a mildly enjoyable time. It’s no one’s fault that it rained, but it is horrendous to have hundreds waiting outside only to begin a 7 pm show at 8:15. Don’t worry though! The staff will continuously mop the floors even though they’re already incredibly soaked. However, they WILL never mention that their bar does not take apple pay, and leave you waiting at the front of the bar to disband your drinks and food as you have no way to pay for them. Will literally never attend another concert here again.
Do not spend extra for loft your view may be worse than general admin. The security guard asked us to move down to make more room for people who needed to be seated. We did. that was a mistake. They should have seated them behind others who were already seated If there were not enough seats. I spent two hours with hardly any space at the balcony and hardly any view and went down stairs. it was a waste of extra money for these tickets. On top of that the b I moved over for kept pushing the rope toward me
We recently purchased Tickets and had a Meet and Greet for Tamar Braxton it was not honored at the place we was told by the event manager Allyssa and staff to get a refund from Ticketmaster who denied the refund as it must be approved by the management at Irving Plaza. They stop responding to emails after assuring it would be rectified. Even after the staff apologized for their error acknowledging we was there early and they miscommunicated information. We lost out the the funds paid for a VIP experience. The whole experience was ruined and now we are taking the loss.
Absolutely sucks would give 0 stars if i could. security was doing nothing as people were being trampled in the crowd. my little brother fell on the ground and no one helped him up and the security did nothing when he was yelling to get let out of the crowd. by the end of the concert they put the free water away so people would be forced to buy water but there was too much of a crowd to even try to. they were not equipped to handle crowds at the end of the show and definitely oversold tickets and were 100% over capacity, it was hard to breathe and even move on the floor. which is a huge safety hazard. never mind the fact that they let people who arrived 5 minutes earlier get in before people who had been waiting for hours. the staff were extremely rude and misgendered my friend which made us feel very unsafe as queer people. overall horrible they need to hire more security and train them better.
An excellent venue to experience your favorite band .
This place is absolutely the worst venue in NYC i been there twice and both general admission. The entrance is always blocked and its impossible to get in or get out for a bathroom break. Last time i went in August 2022 i was denied 2 beer purchases by a feamle bartender as she refused to sell me 2 and the bartender near her sold me another one as i assumed i was being targeted because she sold others 2 drinks per person.
Been here several times! Great venue! Awesome sound & stage! Highly recommend seeing an artist of your liking here! 2 bars, although bathroom is only on the lower level if you dont have balcony/VIP tickets.
Good venue with good sound. I used to work in music and have been everywhere and seen shows in every scenario. These guys are top notch and the staff is great! If I want to see a band, this is a place I want to see them!
It was a small venue and with the amount of people let inside, made it a definite safety concern. There were cups and drinks all over the floor. It was too much of a mess for me. I loved the Ava Max performance.
The band I went to see was excellent, but I am never returning to this venue. Nowhere on any ticket information, websites, even signage outside of the venue mentions that you cannot bring in medication (even OTC medication). I had clearly labeled medication (both prescribed and OTC medication) to deal with several chronic issues that I deal with on a day to day basis. I was sobbing to the security guards, pleading with them to please let me have my OTC medication and my prescribed medication, and they told me I dont care what disease have. Throw it out or youre getting kicked out. I was humiliated by their so-called security guards who screamed at me and belittled me. I understand if this is a venues policy to not allow medication (however, I would totally believe that is an ADA complaint and lawsuit waiting to happen); however, being as this was never disclosed on any form of information received about the show/venue ahead of time, this so-called policy they kept screaming at me should not be enforced if your verbiage on all ticketing material does not reflect these policies. Avoid this venue at all costs unless they fire their security staff and bring in decent human beings.
The female staff that worked the Bang Yongguk show last night were absolutely horrible. They were rude when people asked questions. They had attitudes and acted like it was an inconvenience for them to do their jobs. Also, they werent going to honor fast lane passes that people paid for and were going to give fast lane passes to meet & greet people who didnt purchase them. They were so unorganized.Their only saving grace was a few of the male staff. They were the only nice friendly ones there.
Be careful!!! When you get to buy the loft area the security there they get money from other people that want to get your spot and create a problem and they take you out!!! You loose your spot … Do not leave your spot once you there the security is a racist!!!! They don’t like latinos!!!!!
Irving Plaza is the worst concert venue Ive ever been to. Its so small, and they always overbook concerts to the point that Im sure its past capacity. Im usually the kind of person that pushes to the front of a crowd, but its always packed so densely at Irving Plaza that unless you show up an hour early, you cant see the stage let alone push up to the front.
Honestly the venue is fine but the beer prices are criminal. $15 for even a modelo. Not even tall boys. bartender said the only thing cheaper is a narragansett and not much cheaper at that. Brutal pricing
Irving Plaza is probably the greatest music venue in new york city. Very small and intimate and you get to experience a concert unlike those massive arena shows. Newly renovated during the covid months and looks amazing.
A really cool venue with general admission and a VIP balcony. It allows you to get pretty close to the artists in a pretty intimate space. The drinks cost like $15, but the bathrooms were clean. There is a lounge area downstairs that looked cool and there are TVs around the first floor so you still see what is going on at the stage even if you go downstairs for the bathroom or the second bar.
Went to a concert here. Not bad. However get there early if you want a good view of the stage.
It’s a really nice venue but the staff are extremely rude and tried separating me from my friend while in line because she had a bag but I didn’t. I couldn’t separate from her when I had her ticket on my phone. There was no need for the nasty attitude.
The venue itself is decent but whoever the dude with the beard tending the lobby bar was is a PRICK
Went there to see SEAL in 2015.The line was around the blockBut once they started letting people in the line moved fairly quickThe show was Great. The theater isnt that big, no matter where you stood you had a good view. SEAL was phenomenal.. I hope he comes back again
Scam scam scam. Don’t get any add on like Joccos Ransom. Paid for 4 passes to “VIP” add on and it was a joke. This place is in the basement and tiny. Had one drink before they closed it down and didn’t let us back in. Called to get a refund and management lied about how they had to kick us out for bad behavior. Everyone who was there complained and was upset of how misleading the online video to Joccos Ransom room is. Total lies. Stay away !!!!
Staff here sucks. We purchased our tickets directly from sound rink, the company used by the band. Our email clearly said Will Call. Staff and the venue had 60+ people with this problem the previous night and did nothing to prepare for tonight where many of us had the same issue. They argued with us that we had to take it up with sound rink, instead of seeing that clearly we had tickets booked and our show was starting for the final tour of a band we would never get to see again. We politely tried to explain to them we had no way of sorting this out and they needed to do something. They knew there was an issue on the previous night, possibly it’s happened many times before, and yet they were completely unprepared. They forced us to apologise to staff and chose to do nothing to help a stressful situation get resolved. We spoke to people who had been to the show in Philly and just showed their confirmation from sound rink and that was that. Won’t ever go here again for a show. Management needs to give their staff autonomy and training to help resolve issues with ticket agents like sound rink in future.
Irving Plaza must not put much thought into their fan experience. They added in a new section in the upstairs portion that is just a giant rectangle that makes you feel like cattle, its a separate price point and you cant even see the crowd. If youre short, you cant even see the stage. Its so far back from where the upstairs actually hangs over that you cant see anything going on underneath.THEN, theres another price point for VIP which is in front of the cattle section, no idea if that section was even for sale online. Thats the ideal spot to be in in order to see whats going on downstairs/the main GA floor, and you used to be able to stand against the upstairs rail to see everything but not anymore. Both sides of the upstairs are a third and fourth separate section. It makes no sense. I had to ask someone to sneak in on the side just to take a picture. Otherwise I watched most of the show bobbing and weaving my head in the cattle section or just turned around and watched it on the TVs at the bar.
Small venue with GREAT sound. It didn’t hurt that we were lucky enough to see Smashing Pumpkins here. I’ll return again, the venue is so good. Id love to see how the view from balcony is.
Legendary small venue. Very expensive drinks so recommend doing a healthy dose of pre-gaming to avoid purchasing here. Plenty of bars in the area - more trendy to the west and dive bars to the east. We recently hit the new food hall on 14th Street beforehand so everyone got exactly what they wanted to eat and we enjoyed the craft beer bar, as well.
I have been to this concert venue a few times now, as they keep hosting artists that I like. The place feels deceptively big, as once you get inside it feels rather small. The back of the hall, on the second floor, is a bar with a good selection of drinks and friendly staff. Generally anyone who is here is going to have to stand for a few hours.
Have great acts, worth going for that, but be advised, the actual viewing area, the venue inside the concert hall concert is over crowded. Where people are outside the doors because its so full inside of the concert hall and hard to see the group, this isnt a sitting venue. Your squished in and I been to many concerts and it get over crowded but there are never any worries of no safe way out in an emergency because how the building is set up. To note tou have to walk up a set of stairs and wait to be let in and when people start piling in you better stay in your area cause its almost improbable to get back inside so you watch from the door way unless other concert goers try to get tou back in so tou can at leat see something or tour just listening from outside the venue doors. Again, the concert hall is upstairs and doors open, and they over crowd where people are outside these doors.Dont get me wrong, I would love to go again, but I would stay upstairs on the bench in front of the bar. At least you can stand and see and sit and see the musicians on the TV at the bar as well. Both of both worlds when yout standing for 4 to 5hrs.If they did not overflow, it would have been a great experience seeing the artist but not a sage way out in an emergency with the number of people they shove on for a shoe is concerning.
This isn’t so much a review as an appreciation post. I wouldnt normally post on the internet over something like this but the kindness showed by one of the managers of the venue was above and beyond after myself and my gf were recently scammed by a ticket reseller. I doubt he’ll see this but I genuinely appreciate the guy for being so understanding and helpful. He was literally a bright moment in an otherwise really bad moment. Thank you dude I wish you nothing but the best you’re awesome
Great venue well organized. Special shout out to the security that worked the Polaris show they did their job and enjoyed it while they did the duties.
My gf has diabetes and they only allowed her to bring in one juice and one glucose gel. They didnt let her bring in her bags of juices, her sugar-free drinks, nor her already counted food with written carbs. The woman checking the bags kept calling someone over who said they didnt want to deal with her. And then proceeded to accommodate her by checking in her second bag with all her stuff for free, let her use the elevator, and even gave her a chair. The only reason they allowed her to bring her bag with her insulin, needles, and alcohol wipes was because she literally started crying in front of the line, and people were looking. When my gf asked what she would eat, the woman said she could eat popcorn, lol. But lets be honest, if this place is arguing with a diabetic on how to deal with their diabetes they wouldnt have the carb count on anything they sell.Someone fainted in the middle of the crowd, and the audience made space for them while someone else checked them out. The crowd actually yelled at the band to stop playing because she fainted. Security was there in five minutes, when the woman was already awake. The bathrooms are gross, the drinks are expensive, and security is a total joke. Honestly, I recommend skipping this place altogether. I suggest looking at the bad ratings to get a good sense of this place. While my gf wasnt allowed to bring her bag with juice because it made one of the staff uncomfortable people were allowed to vape and smoke weed throughout the whole venue. And yes, we reported this whole incident with the ADA. And they suggested we get a lawyer and sue.
