This place charged me 22% tips automatically without asking and prey on folks who are not checking. I only discovered this when I checked my bill afterward.Song selections were pretty limited. The system was also harder to navigate as it would only show the next 5 songs.I was planning on bring my team back here again but not anymore. Dishonesty is not something Id support.

First time going to a Karaoke bar, and it was fun! You get a private room, or you can sing by the bar if you want. For the private room, you get two microphones, and it is 10 dollars after 8 pm for the room. The iPad has a lot of music types. The bathroom is at the end of the hallway where the private room is.

We got a private karaoke room and had a lot of fun! They have a lot of the popular songs we wanted to sing. We had 2 mics and there is drinks service at the door bell which was super quick. Overall good experience

Staff was extremely disrespectful. Came there on mothers day with a group of 6. One member was under 21 and her mother was the person we were celebrating. We didnt have her ID with us but upon asking if it mattered if were were all not drinking alcohol he mocked our question and said he didnt care. He seemed intoxicated himself and mumbled most of time. It was unfortunate considering we had a wonderful time there 5 years back to celebrate a 16th birthday of one of the other members with us today. We dont mind that we couldnt sing karaoke, its the rudeness that through it all off. Good luck

Place is okay. Not many new song selections. Best for people who like 80s,90s and early 2000s music. You’ll definitely hear repeats of multiple songs. Place is not kept up part with cleaning, specially the rest rooms. Bartenders are two faced. Atmosphere of place is boring and dark. A lot of other bars that are much better in the area!

They banned me without me ever being at this bar and wouldn’t listen to anything I had to say.

One of the best karaoke bars in the city if youre looking for something casual. Used to come here often with coworkers post-happy hour and we always had a fun time. Can easily grab a room or hang out at the bar outside. Not as flashy as K-town but we always have a great time and good service here

Had a total blast both times I’ve visited! staff is accommodating and comes quick when you press your service button.have pretty much every song you can think of.rooms get really hot is the only thingpaid between 40-50$ a person for 2 hours private room and a few pitchers of drinks to share 🍻

Very limited song selection compared to other karaoke places in the city. The biggest problem is - THERE IS NO SONG LIST, not even a digital one. Your only option is to go on the website and search for songs one by one. The result is a whole group of people just sitting absentmindedly thinking of what songs they know, or scrolling through their playlists on their phone looking for something to search, completely disengaged from each other. The whole point is that this is supposed to be a social activity!On top of all that, technical issues abound. Constant feedback from mics, lyrics lighting up completely out of time with the actual music.If they can fix these issues, it can easily be a 5 star business. As it is now, I dont recommend it at all.

Group Karaoke rooms are ok , We paid 60 bucks for open bar for two hours which was ok . The place could use an update to its decor

Came for a friend’s birthday, they told us a private room was 60$, we went for it. When we finished, the total was almost 80$ with 20% gratuity they included plus % taxes. I felt definitely uncomfortable because they didn’t even offer us water during that period of time.

Had a great time with my friend in the bar area. To sing publicly you do have to pay $5 cash only which is so much to sing just 1 song 😅 but oh well. Still had fun tho.

Bouncer was super pleasant, very kind person. BUT the bartender on Sunday night (dark hair) very rude and ungrateful… could have bought more drinks but we changed the bar

We went for my birthday on a SATURDAY (weekend) and the lied to us that they closed at 3:21 while people were still singing in rooms. No one was drunk and we were having fun and payed for everything at the end. If it was full and they needed rooms we would of understood but we were all sober to understand it was wrong and unprofessional of them to kick us out for no reason.

My friend came here for his birthday and its been one of the best experiences so far. The staff is very helpful and polite, the rooms fit a big group of at least 8. They have earned my return. I would say come here before heading elsewhere. Plus the song selection is pretty diverse, has a good mix of different genres and bands. Plus they are like the only ones who have the Metallica version of stone cold crazy. I will definitely be coming back.

This was a great time with about 30 of us! Staff was very attentive and our group had such a great time. For many of us, it was our first time doing karaoke and the private room made it easy! There were some technical difficulties with the tv screens bit that wasnt enough to ruin the evening.

Good ambiance, funny people and everyone ALWAYS selects the big hits. Only downside is you cant keep a tab open, everything is cash and when asking to get a room for 2,the staff told me to wait 1 1/2-2 hrs. After waiting and seeing 3new groups of people come in and not wait,I was then told I needed at least 4 people. Why would you waste mine or anyones time? The staff just needs to be a little more aware of their own place of works policy other than that and the pointless attitude, everything else was good.

This place rocks!! A great spot to stop by with friends after or before a night out. They do beer pitchers, and song requests are a dollar each.There are rooms in the back, but Id recommend the bar in the front (there are better private-room karaoke spots around the city -- try Flushing or Ktown).Great vibes!!

Pros: This place has SO MANY songs in other languages, its great to come to if youve got friends from all over - it definitely sets them apart from other places in the city. They are fine with outside food and generous with their drinks. The rooms come in many sizes and are clean, and you can also sing in the main bar area. They will bring you pitchers of cocktails.Cons: Its up some stairs and not very well marked so its easy to miss it (theres another karaoke place right across the street which doesnt help.) The song books they bring you are limited so you have to look up even karaoke standards on their website. They will bring you pitchers of cocktails even when you dont order a pitcher. We had to send orders back twice because of this.

It was 3:21 am and a man came to our room door to say they closed 12 min ago but the place closes at 4am and we didn’t break any rules. I’ve gone with friends plenty of times and tried to bring new people to experience and then to get lied to ,that the place was closed when people were drinking at the bar and in rooms was a bit pathetic. Totally ruined our friends birthday.

This place was that memorable that I am writing this review 9 years later, It was my last night on a vacation in NYC, A Korean guy brought me here after another karaoke place shut.It had a lovely atmosphere, great staff and patrons, and its where I decided that I loved Karaoke.

Ive been using this place for 4years and love it! Excellent selection of songs and Staffs are very nice and helpful also. So many people on the weekend so if you wanna hang out at the bar, you should go there earlier like 10pm.If u have a large party, I recommend to make a reservation!!

Really fun! Its a small place. Make sure you get there early if you want to sing a few songs. My friends and I arrived at 1:30am and put in a request right away. We werent able to sing until 3am! But we still had a lot of fun anyway!

Me and my friends from college stumbled across this place late one night and it was the perfect recipe for the disaster that we wanted. First off, definitely get a room. The price is worth the time alone with your friends laughing and dancing to what you want to hear. Secondly, the prices are great!!! Worth it! Sing Sing is a go to!

Had a horrible experience here. We were about 20 people and they gave us a very tiny room. When we ordered a pitcher of beer they gave us sprite in a pitcher and pretended like it was beer then charged us $60 for it. Not worth it. People were very rude as well.

Find another karoake place. Private room was sweltering- I thought we had walked into a sauna. Cant comment on the drinks. There was some difficulty with the bill as some friends stopped in for less than an hour and when they wanted to pay for their time and leave we were told that we would be charged for everyone for the full 3 hours. We were unhappy and unaware of that policy. Room was very small to hold 10 ppl. Any more and we would have needed a larger room.

Had a ton of fun here. Not too pricey, however, just make sure to leave within time - got the feeling they wouldnt warn you about timing and then just charge you... This did not happen to us as we left in time (as someone in the group was keeping time)

We had our company event here. They have some good song selection and the catering isnt bad. But the elevator feels like a death trap. I really thought I was going to die going up and down in it.

AMAZING spot!! The entrance was kind of messy at the beginning, once they gave us our karaoke room it was perfect. Sang for 5 hours, great selection in English and Spanish. Highly recommend!!

You need to darken the place by 80% and make yourselves not cash only. That’s why it’s barley ever crowded even on Saturdays. Basically only full of out-of-towners and the vibe is mad corny. Who the hell wants to see incredibly clearly in a bar where you’re singing?!... Fix your vibe guys.

It was so much fun. We ended up being 7-8 in a smaller room, though it was intimate it was loads of fun. Very attentive whenever someone needed a drink. Super fun experience!

Thanks to the great playlist of songs, singsing karaoke st.marks is definitely the best karaoke in the NYC. The staff is very friendly too. The best sound system,song choice and nicest staff in any karaoke bar. My favorite place to sing and goof off after long weeks of hard work.awesome karaoke spot. Good drinks fun atmosphere. They charged us an hour for leaving at the time we were supposed to leave we had two hours so we left the room at the 2hour mark and they said that’s over… THEY CHARGED US another hour for leaving on time with no shame… I am absolutely NEVER going back!

Sing sing has always been a joy to go, the rooms are usually always available and the main room is like a party. I came here for my friends 30th birthday and they were very accommodating. If youre going for a good time, come to Sing Sing.

My name is Motownisback from Iowa I was at sing sing karaoke over the weekend. I had a great time loved your great selection of songs. I also love the many good and beautiful singers I can wait to get back to New York.

Machines were laggy, and seats were uncomfortable. Also, they started doing a minimum charge per room, so its expensive if you just want to karaoke with one other person. Otherwise, good English song selection.

A lot of the Spanish selections werent available.The rooms were alright and the pricing is good if u got the package deal. The service was good aswell.

This place has private rooms so that other people dont have to suffer listening to your horrendous voice lol.

Great service. Nearly no wait for drinks or a room. The machines get a little glitchy and a few songs listed on there they dont actually have but overall it was still not a huge problem.

Sing sing is a fantastic place to take a group for private room karaoke…but dont worry! If youre alone, you can rock your favorite song at the bar, where they serve a while compliment of Japanese beers ++shots.

This is my favorite place in NYC to karaoke, best song selection. Staff are friendly and attentive, and the common area is good to hang out in too. Song list is available online if you want to check it out ahead of time.

Walked in with a friend to the bar, $20 cash in hand. Asked if they had rose, to which the bartender said yes. I asked for that and a glass of Kirin on tap. She comes back with a bottle of Veuve Rose and my Kirin asking for $150.... seriously? Do you not see the $20 in my hand? Bartender is immediately defensive, saying because she opened it, I bought it. Gets the manager involved, who immediately sides with her without getting my side of the story. Im sorry, this is not how a business should be run. Obviously Ill never return, and I suggest the same of you.

One of the best karaoke bars in Manhattan. Jinroo & diet Coke is secretly their top drink. Many a fun night in the city starts or ends at Sing Sing. Kenka + Sing Sing is a winning combination.
