Pranee - Thai Massage Spa

After a very long week of physical and emotional heavy lifting, I reached the end of my capacity but not the end of my task. As a desperate measure, I searched maps for the nearest massage with good reviews, and fortune smiled on me when I found this amazing Thai massage place just around the corner from my loved ones apartmentIt was already evening, but using their easy online booking, I was able to get an appointment for a couple of hours later. It was a few dollars more for an after 8:pm appointment but not too much considering the ask. I arrived at a clean, well-appointed lobby and was greeted by Luna. She gave me water and did a preliminary consultation. She had me circle areas of particular discomfort and sign a standard release. Then Luna led me to one of the private rooms.Luna was very competent and confident at addressing my issues. She was a wonderful listener with her ears, hands, and intuition and got right to the root of my pain. I have experienced Thai massage in many places by various practitioners, and comparatively, Luna was great. Of course, it was very intense, but I communicated and Luna adjusted when it was more that I could bear. Luna, who studied Muay Thai and sometimes works on athletes, released, readjusted, and stretched just about my whole body in a 90-minute session. After I dressed, she gave me hot ginger tea.Restored, re-energized, and feeling physically like I was 20 years younger, I was able to complete the task efficiently and with serenity.

I came by pranee thai massage for Thai massage, trying it for the first time in my life with Kiki. It was very interesting but very relaxing. I like it when she stretched and fix my body. Nice vibes, clean and amazing service. I highly recommend Kiki, shes very strong 🙂

This is my first time here and my first experience with a Thai massage in NY. Its been an incredible experience, especially after a long flight. The facilities and staff are top-notch, providing the best service possible. A huge thank you to Luna, my spa therapist, who made this relaxation session after a long journey absolutely amazing!

Came here after a few days of dealing with jet lag and recovering from illness, and could not recommend this place highly enough! The staff are all so welcoming, sweet, and accommodating, the ambience is so soothing and relaxing, and the massage service instantly rejuvenates and allows you to forget all your stress and worries. The prices are also very reasonable. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Very weak/lame massage. It was a massage but not deep tissue by any means. Id call it a very poorly-executed Swedish. For $210 for 90 minutes, it ought to have been at least average. This is roughly twice the price of lower-priced massages in Manhattan and did not reflect it.It really seemed like the masseuse didnt know what she was doing or had learned from Youtube. There was little to no use of actual fingers/thumbs to massage muscles, just a lot of pressing as hard as she could with her elbow. My lower back/shoulders dont feel more relaxed after leaving. I think what best illustrates the poor execution was how she pulled on the toes. There was no finesse, just crude yanking. It was not only an extravagant waste of money, I actually feel upset that I wasted time doing this, I wouldve felt more relaxed just going for a run. I use massages to prepare for large athletic endeavors coming up and Im going to have to get a second massage somewhere else. I had a really bad time here

I love getting thai massage but i couldn’t fine traditional thai here in New york. I walked pass Thai wellness spa and went in for massage, OMG, Its Amazing!!!I took my friends here and they got deep tissue with Thai Combination and my friends also love the massage here. Clean and relaxing . We also got champagne after the massage too.100% recommend this place.

I was blown away by how nice the staff (who got me in the same day) were and by the amazing masseuse who gave me the deep tissue I love and deep stretching I needed. Walked into the Pranee Thai message spa and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff was friendly and calm. The place was quiet and relaxing. The massage was amazing - perfect amount of pressure and stretching. I wish I could have done 2 hours! I will definitely be back. If you are looking for a great massage, this is the spot! And the tea at the end is delicious!

The massage was good but not worth the price in my opinion. I was expecting to be wowed based on the price charged but I’ve had better for a lot cheaper. Mainly knocking off 3 stars due to the employees being snarky about the tip. I tipped 15% (before tax) on my credit card, and after I paid the ladies were whispering about it in their language. Then before I left the lady at the front desk felt the need to remind me that their recommended tip is 20%. This was offputting and unprofessional, as you can’t force your customers to tip a certain amount. As an establishment it’s on you to pay your workers fairly so you don’t have to be rude to your customers because they didn’t cover your costs for you. I won’t be back.Edit: As you can see from their comment below they admitted to their behavior. Looks like their style is to gaslight customers for lower reviews which is very tacky.Also it looks like they’re using chat gpt to write a bunch of fake 5 star reviews.

I’ve gone to a lot of places to get a massage and usually I end up feeling worse than I came in. I have to say Febi did an amazing job. She hit all the right points and my back did feel loose after it. My feet had been in pain for the past few weeks and it felt amazing to walk after I was done.Everyone I interacted with was super friendly and I got my moneys worth. The area was super clean and before the appointment, they already knew what area I wanted them to focus on. It was such a good experience, I already booked a second section before I travel at the end of the month.If I could change anything I would just move them next door to my house so I could go more often.

I get massages on a weekly basis, I can say that this was one of the best massages I had ! 90 minutes of deep tissue and hot stone absolutely a treat. Definitely going back before my flight back for 2 hours!!

Had an amazing massage by I believe she said her name was Amy or Annie, did the one hour Thai combo and it was great. They ask what areas you would like worked on when you enter and she really focused on those areas and how I was feeling. Highly recommend!

Fantastic massage. I love Thai massage. I have back and neck issues and I really appreciate being stretched out so that my muscles are calm. This is the best place in NYC I have been to for that. The customer service is very accomodating and the venue is small, but very clean. You fill out a form and indicate areas you are experiencing pain. For the price paid for the massage ($140/ 1hour plus tip) I was not impressed or wowed by the massage. There was some technique, and despite indicating the areas experiencing pain, I define a good massaeuse as someone who can find the root cause of the pain and work those areas, i.e., If Im experiencing lower back pain, 95% of the time, it stems from knots in glutes. Also, after the massage, plenty of oil dripped from my neck and legs. It could be my specific masseuse or the day, but I will not chance another so-so experience. Try at your own risk. There are definitely less expensive places to try.

FABULOUS!!! I took my friend for her first Thai massage experience and it was wonderful. Kayla & yuki were our therapists and they were professional, sweet, and very attentive to pressure needs.

This was the best massage my boyfriend and I have ever had. We got the 45 min couple massage and it was incredible. We are both athletes and both had incredibly painful, tight shoulders and after the massage felt no pain whatsoever. We were walking on a cloud all the way home. She’s knowledgeable, pleasant and really quite strong and knows exactly which muscles to knead.I can honestly say that the treatments Ive received from Pranee over the years have been relaxing, have improved my flexibility, and contributed to my overall well-being.Her new facility, NYC Thai Wellness Center located near Grand Central, has a welcoming and soothing design. The massage rooms are clean, spacious and tranquil . . . I would highly recommend.

We got gift cards for 90 minutes Thai massage at this place in midtown. I received Thai massage with back walking. The day after my massage, my lower back is no longer in pain. I was so amazed how good it feel afterward. We already made an appointment to go back next week but this time I want to try thai combo with back walking.Only one thing that I was disappointed was That we couldn’t be in the same room with my husband due to pandemic.

I’ve been going to Thai Wellness for quite some time. Initially I was experiencing lower back pain, later on I struggled with a frozen shoulder. Pranee and her team, Natcha and Maya are all well schooled in getting at and alleviating the pain. In my case it helped me to get back on the basketball and volleyball courts as well as the golf course. Thai Wellness is a serene, peaceful relaxing spa. You’ll be very happy if you choose to visit. I love it!

Ive been having issues in my lower back and Pranee took time to understand my pain points and did a specific massage to address them. She was very in tune with which areas to focus on to relax and relieve my back. I also love the atmosphere of the place, it has been designed to make you relax and feel at home. Shes also very knowledgeable and explained how the pain is connected to different muscles in my body and how the accumulation of stress from daily life and work work against us. She really pays close attention to your body and observes where you need work beyond what you can even communicate yourself. I left feeling like a regenerated person and the pain in my back subsided immensely. My muscles feel fluid and I find myself holding up higher with a straighter walk. I will be coming back again, when Im in the area.

EXCELLENT thai massage!! I have a very labour intensive job that creates big deep knots in my shoulders so was looking for a very good massage that would fully fix my back and make me feel better. It was my first thai massage. I got a deep tissue/thai mix that was AMAZING. They worked out all my knots, stretched and pulled and cracked me all over.
