I’ve been seeing Althea over the last year and she is fantastic. She is flexible with scheduling and attentive to what her clients are looking for each session. I always walk out thinking that I need to schedule sessions more regularly with her! Highly recommend.

When I say this is the best place to get a massage….I’m not kidding. I had Caroline and she was AWESOME. She took the time to get to know the issues I have with my back and explained what she was going to do during my massage. She coached me through some deep breathing and other exercises to help relax. I have already recommended her and this location to several family members and friends. I will be a FREQUENT customer.

OMG. Ms. Althea is wonderful!!! She was able to adjust pressure without saying a word to her. She gave a perfect higher pressure massage on my neck and shoulders where I carry my tension. And was gentle but effective on my lower back due to having had spinal fusion 6 months ago. I already booked another appointment.

If you want a personalized massage experience that you don’t get with the big chains, definitely give it a try! Althea was great and I’ll be seeing her from now on for weekly massages. I emailed her inquiring about her services and experience with conditions like my Lupus and she responded within the hour as well as followed up with a phone call. She even fit me in same-day so I could come see her immediately.Her studio is quant and quiet in historic downtown with free two hour street parking—a great added bonus! The music was relaxing and the massage table was comfortable. Althea’s pre-appointment questionnaire was thorough and she was really in tune to my body and pain levels, paying special attention to the spots I told her were feeling painful lately. I didn’t need it this time but she also had a warming blanket on the table available in case it got chilly, which was a nice little touch. Post-massage, she made sure I had a bottle of water and asked me how I was feeling or if there was anything I had questions about.Overall, extremely fair prices, a nice personalized atmosphere, and a kind massage therapist who is skilled and seems to put pride in her work!

Looked forward to this because of amazing reviews, but sadly the pleasant massage experience did not happen for my grandma. I set her up with a session for her birthday and I could appreciate the politeness of our masseuse... the massage itself was a miss. No matter how much she asked for applied pressure, our masseuse showed some, but then did not continue. This was our experience and I’m disappointed because my grandma really needed this and I thought it would be an amazing present. I wished it was a great experience for her or at least relieve her of her pains and I would have placed the same amazing reviews I read. Best of luck to future customers.

My husband and I absolutely loved our massage! He had been complaining about shoulder pain and he walked out completely pain free I was amazed! We have been to other masseuses before but she is phenomenal, I highly recommend and we will definitely be returning!

Fantastic experience!!!! The therapist was professional and polite - not only did I get a great massage but I went home and slept that night without waking up bk of neck/shoulder pain.Will definitely go again. I have already purchased one for a friend !!!!!!!!!
