Chaiyo massage is the best massage place Ive found in entire city! Other places which provide similar service cost twice as much, and are unaffordable for a bi-weekly service.My masseuse is extremely professional and extremely capable. Massages are on point!I cannot believe how professional the entire establishment is!Since my first massage, I go here every other week and get my body a much needed respite from the breakdowns.Cannot recommend this place enough!

The best most invigorating massage of my life! Got a therapeutic massage by Noi and definitely got to the root of my arm, leg, and back pain. She is so efficient while providing such a relaxing experience that it felt like way more than an hour—and for a fantastic price too. Will absolutely be coming back—beautiful decor and really pleasant music too. One of my favorite massage experiences so far. Highly highly recommended!

Ive been going to Chaiyo for three years, and cannot recommend it enough. Every massage I ever had has been exceptional, and I always look forward to going back. I always get a sore back from working, but the thai therapeutic massage always gives me so much relief. Highly recommend going and make sure to book in advance!

We did the Thai relaxation massage for 90 mins, and it was extremely relaxing and destressing. They have you fill an intake form where you can specify areas you’d like the massage therapist to focus. Linda was my masseuse and she did a great job working through the tension and knots in my body. She took her time & the experience didn’t feel rushed at all. Id definitely do it again, and recommend it to anyone looking to relax after a hard day of work.

The best massage I’ve ever received! I’ve gone twice and both times have been amazing. I got the “Therapeutic Thai” option and it’s the first time that I’ve ever had a massage where the pressure was actually strong enough! I winced in pain a couple times as my super tight muscles were worked on but it was a good pain because after the massage I had so much more mobility than I had before. If that sounds too ouch-y to you, maybe try one of their lighter massage options. The masseuses are highly skilled and I’m sure can accommodate whatever you need.

Great massage reminiscent of Thailand. Efficient, give you sandals, curtains to separate beds, and a very firm massage. Definitely had elements of a Thai Massage even though I got the Deep Tissue as there was some arm contorting and pulling to work out my back kinks. This is my new go to spot.Tip: allow extra time for parking and don’t leave anything valuable in your car.

Have now visited multiple times! very professional and cared for at this spot. they ask you for your style and location to select focus and strength. the ladies are all kinda and receptive. make sure to communicate any stressors or notes on your sheet or with the hosts. they are all knowledgeable and personable.

Getting a massage at this place was a transcendental experience. I gazed upon Nirvana while someone was literally walking on my back. Upon walking out felt like I was on another planet, nay an alternate plane of existence.This place owes some random anonymous Redditor for a post asking for the best massage in the East Bay. Even on their intake form, theres an option to choose Reddit in the how did you find out about this place? category, LOL! It did not disappoint!

This is by far the best massage studio Ive been to! The prices are very reasonable and every massage therapist Ive gotten when I go here has been wonderful! I have two very minor gripes with this place, the first being that the AC is pretty loud when it kicks in, and the second being that they dont do insurance so if you want to claim your massages then I dont know if you can do it here. But these are minor and do not discourage me from going here at all!

04/03/2024 - This is my third visit and this one was just wonderful. I have been working out and every inch of my body is sore and my muscles have so many knots. I scheduled an appointment for a two hour session. I asked the massage therapist to give it her all in terms of pressure. It hurt so good but I am now able to stand on my legs with NO pain. I am able to rotate and move my back AND shoulders. My biceps and triceps are so light and limber. I wasnt able to raise my arms above my head and now I can. My poor therapist worked through every single knot in my body. She was detailed and was able to work on almost every single aspect of my sore muscles. It was amazing. Honestly, I love this place. (Note: While I initially asked her to give maximum pressure, I appreciate that she continuously asked me if I was okay and if I needed her to go lighter. I add this to say, communicate with your therapist BEFORE they begin. Share what it is you need. They are honestly so wonderful.)Had the Thai Therapeutic one hour massage. It was deliciously perfect. Got all the knots out of my body and left feeling like I was floating.

Is your body tight? Are you in pain? Do yourself a favor and book a Thai therapeutic massage. 60 min is great but 90 min is where the healing really begins. The therapists are top notch, they know your body more than than you when you walk in. They will find your knots no matter where they are hiding, and they will break them up and smooth them out. The environment is really relaxing and comfortable. The service is consistently exceptional, from the online bookkeeping to the arrival and check in process to the payment system. It’s a smooth operation. As a small business owner I respect and aspirate this level of service.

Best massage I’ve ever received! Noi was keen on pressure, muscle manipulation, and utilized hands-on techniques to treat muscle pain effectively! I’ve had shoulder and back pain all week, after spending more than 24 hours traveling, and she was able to alleviate 85% of my symptoms. If you’re in town for work, do not miss out on this superb experience!

Its unfortunate, they are nice, but I was so disappointed by my 90min therapeutic massage. It was neither deep nor thai. About 30 min I just told her to stop on whatever she thinks she was doing on my back and do feet instead. I had circled my neck to focus on for pain. and asked for strong pressure. The pressure was so weak, like little pushes, and when she used her fingertips it was like when you make foccia - light and no real direction. She didnt feel me out at all. Didnt dig into anywhere around my upper back or neck. The thai stretching at the end...wow, so bad... i almost just want to stop but did not want to be rude either... Its bananas that they ask for so much money 120 for such low quality work. I also thought it was so gross when they work on your feet and no towel and go touch your face, I hate that. If this is their A Team on a Friday ... definitely wouldnt bother coming back. The search for a good Thai massage in Oakland continues....

Im not even religious, but I think I saw God.This was, by far, the best massage Id received for as long as I can remember. All I could think in the first 30 min of my session was holy moles... holy moles....this is amazing. Lisa, my therapist, did work that I didnt even know could be done. I usually feel tight again the day after but I feel great today on day 2.Also excellent service (thanks Henry!) and I appreciated all their COVID precautions even though the rest of the world thinks the pandemic is over.Think I finally found my go-to after 4 years in Oakland.Edit 1ish year later: Ive been to a handful of different therapists, and theyre all wonderful. Lisa is still magic. She makes me hate sitting at my desk a little less.

Someone expertly uses their weight to walk on you. I went for the 90 minute Thai massage and it was divine. The rooms are divided by plastic curtains and a grip bar is suspended on top of each section in order for your massage therapist to balance their weight on you. This was supposed to come with aromatherapy... what aromatherapy? But overall it was a pleasurable and new experience

Henry is warm, welcoming and diligent about COVID safety which I appreciate. Go with the Thai Therapeutic if you feel like regular deep tissue massages aren’t cutting it anymore—you won’t regret it. Every therapist I’ve had has been incredibly effective & talented. I always leave feeling like an entirely new woman. So happy to have them in the neighborhood!

I just had the most wonderful 90m thai therapeutic massage with Anna and she was phenomenal. She used just the right pressure and checked in with me the right amount to see if I was conformable. This is the first massage Ive had in a long time and I had SO many knots, but she fixed me right up; it was almost a spiritual experience. Definitely one of the top two massages Ive ever had. I am already looking forward to my next visit.Henry, the owner, is so sweet and wonderful. He checked me in and recommended I try the therapeutic massage instead of the aroma given I sit in front of the computer all day and my concerns. I am so glad he took the extra time to do that (even tho I was already running a few minutes late to my appointment!). They do a great job with their COVID protocol and it feels safe for the customer and the staff.

I don’t recommend at all if you tried Real Thai Massage before like me. This place has nothing related to Thai massage.I tried different staff members but still the massage service I received never even close to normal Thai massage.It is waste of time and money!

I LIVE for a Thai massage and I must admit, this will be my new massage spot here in Oakland. Easy to make an appointment and you will receive a reminder email/phone call of your upcoming appointment. I had a 90-minute therapeutic massage and it was EVERYTHING!! The massage table was warm, which in my opinion, makes the massage so much better. Anna was my therapist and she did a great job! The right amount of pressure and she checked on me throughout the massage to ensure I was okay. Please note the parking can be a hassle, especially on the weekend. That is no fault of theirs, just something to be mindful of when you arrive for your appointment. Just make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment, just for parking. Highly recommend this place and cant wait to schedule my next appointment (:

I came here to relieve the tension and knots in my back. The man at the front desk was very helpful in making suggestions for my needs. The place was clean and followed covid protocols. I felt very safe and the woman who gave the massage did an amazing job. It was a bit painful for some areas but worth it. I felt so much better after my session was done. Highly recommend this place and it has reasonable rates.

This place is worth visiting if you need a good deep tissue/Thai therapeutic massage- Ill be coming back for only those services. Youll feel sore for a day/two, but a million bucks for weeks after.I am writing this post because I feel consumers should be aware of two things that became news to me today:1) they do NOT offer aromatherapy and their hot herbal balls due to COVID related regulations, a fact that I was told after my massage was over. Even though the website still allows you to book this service, 2 years since covid pandemic started.2) my experience with the therapist named Ya- very, very painful. Had to tell her more than 6 times throughout my massage that her pressure was too high. Three separate times I felt her nails digging into my skin & her feet were ICE cold when she was walking all over me. Try to avoid her.So stick with their signature massage, and seek out therapists that try to respect your pain threshold - and you cant go wrong here.They lost two stars for not informing me about the changes prior to my service, and that the only acknowledgement I received for my bad experience was: Im sorry.

One of the best massages Ive received. I felt that my massage therapist understood my needs, as I had noted in the initial intake form, and listened to my requests. I was so relaxed, I fell asleep! I cant wait to recommend this spot to friends in the area in need of some bodywork.

Very clean and welcoming environment. They provide you with shoes when you sign in and arrive. Rooms are very quiet and relaxing, Massage was deep, and did everything I needed. TL:DR Exceptionally clean, personable and warm environment providing an experience that surpasses expectations.I was in serious need of a deep tissue massage and booked a long appt. The staff at Chaiyo checked in with me prior to today to make sure I was all set for my session and greeted me by name as I walked in the door. They have an efficient and safe check-in process that takes into consideration of all necessary protocols. Shortly after checking in, I was on the table getting a massage. The massage itself was extremely considerate. Each side of my body got work specific to what was going on- leaving me feeling balanced for the first time in a long while.

Amazing Thai massage for knots! For reference I have several extremely tight knots. Ive been to other massage places where the Thai massage is a well defined procedure where everyone gets x amount of minutes on each body part. At Chaiyo Thai massage I could really tell they were paying close attention to your needs. They really worked on my troublesome knots and spent more time on the side of my body that was tighter.They were also very careful with COVID precautions with plenty of hand sanitizer everywhere. Any pens or clipboards were handed to us with plastic wrap/napkins to reduce contact.Everyone was very nice and attentive! Id absolutely come again.

Chaiyo has wonderful customer service and their massages are the best. They are always communicating with you through out your massage and ensuring they are treating you for every possible need whether it’s due to chronic pains from work. A spa day or past injuries. I really appreciate their services. I work two jobs and they make sure my body can still get up to start the next double shift 👍👍👍👍. Also if you have any concerns about Covid regulations they are making sure everyone is safe providing clean mask when you enter sanitized slippers and only allow the minimum amount of staff and customer in at a time.

I had some back and leg soreness due to soccer/the gym so I decided to schedule a massage. Henry was amazing and very kind in recommending what type of massage and setting up the appointment.The interior is very nice and relaxing and I ended up doing a 90 minute Thai Therapeutic massage with Bow. Bow was amazing and helped relieve most of my lower back and leg pain. She was very sweet and adjusted the pressure of the massage accordingly. I will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend Chaiyo Thai Massage to anyone remotely considering a massage.

I cannot recommend highly enough Chaiyo Thai Massage. Each and every time I visit, no matter which lovely therapist I’ve had, I leave feeling like a new woman. I have chronic pain/chronic injuries and these sessions are magic. Clean, friendly, professional, fair prices, and always give you at least the number of minutes of actual massage therapy you pay for (rather than cutting a bit short or taking into account changing time etc). I feel so grateful to have this spot close to home.

Excellent massage in a calming environment. The staff is kind and friendly, checking in with you to ensure your comfort. I got the Thai herbal message which was a dream for my sore shoulders. The assisted stretching noticeably reduced the pain in my IT band. Will definitely be going again!

I had high hopes for this place because they have “perfect reviews” but the massage I got was really bad. I initially scheduled it for 90 minutes but the masseuse didn’t know the first thing about massages and was just ‘playing around’ on my back lol that I had to politely stop her and leave 55 minutes in. They might have better masseuses than the one I got but for me sadly it was a waste of time and money:/

Chaiyo has the most professional and thoughtful Covid protocol I have experienced at any business throughout all of the pandemic. The staff is kind and well-versed in massage styles and were able to. recommend the perfect fit for me. The massage was intense, as all good Thai massages are. I had an excellent massage at Chaiyo, my masseuse was Bow and she had such a calming and soothing presence I instantly relaxed. Best Thai / deep tissue massage Ive ever had! I have repetitive strain injury on both hands so making sure I have a massage therapist who really knows their stuff is pretty critical. I have had a lot of massages due to my injuries, so I was extremely impressed after going here, and plan to be a long time customer. The masseuse was extremely professional, sweet and really listened to my needs.There arent separate rooms for the massages, just curtains to separate the massage areas, but it didnt bother me personally. Massage table / bed was very comfortable. The customer service is A++ here. They always try to work with my schedule to get in appointments same day.My new go-to place

One of the best Thai massage experiences Ive ever had. Their facilities are extremely clean with many COVID precautions taken including guards, sanitizer, temperature check, etc. Henry greeted me, reviewed my form, and recommended I try the combo Thai and therapeutic massage, which I appreciated. Cindy is a FANTASTIC therapist. Her technique is intentional and expert-level. There were parts of my body I never had massaged in the way she did like my neck, forearms and quads. She was able to locate all of my knots and worked tirelessly on them. I couldnt be more satisfied with my experience and highly recommend checking them out. One of Oaklands best kept secrets. The owner is very friendly, professional and communicative. He really cares about his business and his customers. The facility itself is calm, safe, welcoming and clean. The staff/massage therapists are professional, friendly and skilled. This place is a gem. They just recently opened and have been building a huge customer base due to the high quality service. Great communication from the front office. The therapist was strong and creative. She seemed to be a little monkey on my back. She used everything on my body - hands, feet, elbows, knees, arms, etc. Its intense, but worth it.

Two days after the strong massage and a lot of gallons of water later, I woke up today feeling like my back was completely refreshed and all knots and painful strains were gone.I decided to go get massaged when I realized I could hardly move my stiff neck and my whole right arm was painfully stuck in an awkward position from too much working and carrying a heavy loaded bag. At the massage parlor they took care to ask me specifically the reasons why I was visiting and they took such good care to target the emergency areas as well as working the symmetrical parts in the body. Best one hour massage Ive had in a long time! They recommended me Deep tissue combination with Thai after I explained to them my symptoms and pains.I will go back any time when I have body problems!:)

They asked us to fill out a COVID related form, provided us new masks, had us change our shoes to temporary one time use slippers, then had us use the hand sanitizers right before we were going in our individual massage “rooms.”Jasmine was my masseuse, she knew exactly what she was doing and very sweet. Place is very clean. Its a big hall with curtains to split the massage beds. Its quiet and gives you the necessary privacy. Jasmine, my massage therapist, was perfect and listened to my requests and massaged the needed areas. Person in front desk was professional and politely answered to my queries. This is going to be my go to massage spot in Temescal area. I have had deep tissue thai massage before, however this was far better than last Thai massage I had.

I have been going to Chaiyo for about a year and was very happy when they reopened after COVID.Anna and Fon are both incredibly skilled masseuses, who are cognitive of what needs to be done. I always leave with a smile on my face!I am impressed with the steps Henry (the owner) and his team have taken in the reopen. There are hand sanitizing stations at the entrance and in the rooms. Customers were reminded to sanitize their hands prior to the session. Each room is separated with plastic screens for additional protection. My temperature was checked and I was given a pair of clean slippers and a mask to use.Thank you guys for making it safe and I look forward to my next session!

Felt very safe during my massage, the staff is fully vaccinated and still taking COVID precautions, I clouding giving me a new mask to wear, etc.It was also incredibly easy to book online and get reminders, etc. Even got a call before coming in letting me know that they only have street parking available. Wouldnt hesitate to return.

Very professional and highly skilled masseuses. Location is excellent and the attention paid to detail on the interior makes Chaiyo a gem.The beds have the perfect firmness which allows the masseuses to work their magic. Needless to say, Chaiyo is now my go to spot.
