They do great work but I feel like prices are going up and up. I spent $100 for a blow dry and trim and yesterday $80 for a blow dry. They used to charge me $50 a year or two ago when my hair was longer.

Gladys is hands down the best stylist that has graced my hair. She does an amazing job doing my blowouts/ silkpress & color. I loved that she has the patience to deal with my ALL hair and the passion to do hair is evident. Below is a picture of my hair in its natural state vs silk pressed.SN- Natural Girly. This is what I do, I go in with hair pre-washed and have a deep conditioner setting in my hair. I also bring in my own heat protectant (Chi) and MAKE SURE they saturate my hair with it. Not nesscary, but the steps I take to protect my hair at all cost.My hair typically lasts for 3 - 4 weeks with proper care. This is your sign to book with Gladys ❤️

I usually don’t write reviews, but I wanted to warn someone who is interested in coming here. I had a good experience while I was in there and had no problems initially. However, after I washed my hair for the first time after getting my hair done here, I cried at how horrible the damage to my hair was. The whole front pieces of my hair were bone straight and not reverting back to its curl. I have ringlets as curls, it is never straight naturally. The hair above my hair was equally straight and breaking off. My hair all over has broken pieces everywhere. I have never gotten this much heat damage in my life. It almost looks like chemical damage.I am truly devastated at the state of my hair and it will take years to recover from this. Please do not come here if you are worried about damage.

The first visit was AMAZING, truly transformational. The second visit, overly priced and the same night my hair was in shambles, honestly, don’t even know how else to describe, but it was just a mess. The worst part was the waste of money, not even more than one day with presentable hair. It breaks my heart, because I fell in love with the staff. Left a message, hoping that they would call me back and make things right. I’m assuming from this experience and my previous one this is not one of those places that Care about their customers after the funds aren’t deposited into their account. I edited my reviews from five star to two stars especially because the second visit started off with a $50 service fee and when I walked out somehow I ended up paying $120.

I walked in and all the ladies were very welcoming and nice like family, I was just a walk in and she took me right in, their salon is very, very clean spic&span and all the ladies very talented and wonderful and mind you I have hair almost to my knees and just getting a wash, trim and dry. But to be able to cut my hair its not very easy my hairdresser was great she did a perfect job and I surely will be returning again and giving friends and family referring them to 💕Salon Dominicano 💕its beautiful!!!!

The nail tech lady is so BAD!!!!! Don’t ever come here if you’re trying to get your nails done. She doesn’t even have that many color choices. She does acrylics HORRIBLE. My nails are uneven, not the color that I wanted a few nails are longer than others. This nail tech has had 4 years to learn and practice and she hasn’t accomplished nothing. This is the WORST set of nails I’ve ever had . The people that do hair are really amazing and the lash tech too!!!

Salon environment is nice but Got my hair done and the hair was notDouble stacked at supposed to me but okay. Was told 25 per bundle only to get told 25 per line sewn and charged triple. Then my bundle was cut. They are human hair not something for them to play with but alright. Just go to the African salons or somewhere else where they can do it. This was just last minute and I was lied to about to price as well. If it was up to me I would’ve ran out

I started going there since I moved down 2 years ago for my daughters hairs & they were great. So today I figured I would givethem a shot at my hair. Well I wanted it blond with blond highlights. Let me tell you that after 4.5 hrs of being there I ended up with gray highlights. My husband and I were livid. She did have to strip my hair to get it blonde but I didnt leave there until 9PM. I paid $253 and it wasnt even cut because after the fiasco with the hair dye I was scared. Never ever again. Stay away!!!

Frustrated and exhausted. Went to get color service on Tuesday morning asked for my hair to be highlighted with the color that was already there which was chocolate brown. Somehow went to blonde, orange and yellow. Went home very disappointed my hair as my daughter said looked like a cartoon character went back to the salon Friday morning to express my disappointment and everyone exclaimed it’s yellow…..exactly so I asked for it to be toned down and more brown hues. I got about 4 more colors after the one application. No longer yellow, now it’s gray streaks, 3 shades of blonde and a hot mess. I live 7 hours away spent a lot of money, only to hear “I’m sorry”. I look like a fool my hair looks horrible. I just brought a box dye I’ll do it myself. I don’t know what went wrong. I’m not the colorist. But over $400.00 out of my pocket.

Im not from Orlando. I got my hair blow dried by Marisol. Shes a sweetheart. It looked great on day one but the next day it was a bit puffy and I had to flat iron it, I usually dont have to do that when I get styled in Fort Lauderdale.

I have been living in Orlando for 5 years now and I had not found a place that can give me a true Dominican style blow dry! I took the time to try this place out and it did not disappoint! I did show up few minutes before they opened and I was the first one there on a Friday. I was greeted very pleasantly by the Front desk staff. Amarilis was the stylist who did my hair and she was amazing! Professional and very accommodating. I told her exactly what I wanted and she did exactly that! I will definitely be coming back!

This salon was my little go to spot for a great blowout. They get my hair so soft almost like a silk press. I wouldn’t suggest getting your haircut here as I was feeling spontaneous one day and decided to come here and get my “ends” cut. I walked in with waist length hair and left with shoulder length hair that was cut so choppy and uneven. I now wear extensions to cover it up until I grows back. I have curly hair and she cut it wet. So when i straightened it at home I could see how uneven it was. She tried to hide it by curling my hair at the end but I inevitably noticed and was not happy and haven’t been back since.

Everyone there is talented BUT if you are trying to get in and out ask for Marisol otherwise its an all day event I swear. She is the owner and doesnt play with your time. This will be the last time I go unless I can see Marisol. I was the first one there, before 9am and still had to wait and the lady that got there after me was still seen before me... I was there for a cut, color and blow dry... And I completely understand that it takes awhile to do all that... But I spent a lot of time waiting to continue the process because some of the staff was talking too much and discussing issues about other clients... I ended up leaving with my hair wet, not getting my hair blow dried and still paid $130 for a cut and color. It was about to be 11:30 and my hair still had not been blow dried. Im so mad because Ive been coming here for awhile and every time I see Marisol. I bring my daughter here and my mom who lives in Miami gets her hair done here too. Im so livid. Never again man, never again.

Amarilis is the best hairstylist,not saying that the others arent, but shes been my hairdresser for years. The only thing is have your pocket ready to pay like if you was downtown. Because the last time i payed $300. And honestly that was INSANE!!!

AMAZING !!! Just moved from NY been looking for a salon for some time now. I am super picky with my hair and who cuts it. Decided to try my luck today. I googled Domincan Salons and this was one of the options. Saw all the reviews and said why not. The owner Marisol took care of me and I loved her she was very honest on what I should do with coloring my hair, she took her time with me. I was her only focus I absolutely loved the service. She cut and colored my hair took about 4 hours. But I am thrilled with my results. If I can give her a 10 star I would :)

Was happy with the results of the hair style, they’re amazing at styling! Although the style was good they absolutely fried my hair :/ have to get half my hair chopped off. Also burnt a bobby pin in my hair and cannot get the smell out after countless washes.

The absolute best.! Been going here for the past few years and I feel like family.! The way they are now handling the pandemic is superb. They sanitize every seat after and before you sit on it. They offer you masks and make sure everyone staff and customer is wearing a mask. Feels safe and carefree

04/07/2022. Horrible Experience. Stay away from this place. I asked for silver hightlight, she started with crotchet but was too painful and used foil hightlight, I told her take little hair because I dont like big one. She cut my hair line bob. No blowout. I went home took shower and dry my hair. The color was too silver all over and I can see the roots of my hair look like over 5 Months regrowth and my hair cut was too short and uneven. I went There Monday and asked for refund he said that she is in vacation Come back Friday. I went to another salon and fixed the color, she add black hightlight, honey tone and treatments the damage and color is good now but sorry for you hair cut need to wait for the hair regrowth because you dont like Short hair. I went to back to Salon Dominicano and she said no refund but she can cut and fixed and why no way for her because was embarrassed to go out and I dont want you to touch my hair again.went I told her add back hightlight she repect twice.

Whenever I have my hair done here everyone is nice; Im always greeted and treated well. It is VERY busy on the weekends and the wait can be long but, for the price, its worth it. My hair is natural and they do a great job. My daughters hair is much thicker and they do charge more but, having watched them get a workout blow drying her hair, I couldnt even complain. The prices have gone up over the years (I think I first went here over 5 years ago) but the salons services have improved (at first, you had to hold your cape at the shampoo bowl -crazy).I have been to Altagracia and Vivian and they are both good stylists. They know hair and are good at helping you maintain your style. If you want pampering, ambiance, etc. go to another salon. I like to get in and get out and this salon is good at that.

If you like your hair on point, and nails. This is a must go!

Best Dominican salon in the area. I drive 45 minutes and don’t mind even thou there are some close to where I live. Super clean and with the hospitality that characterizes Dominican people. They always offer you water or coffee. I always go with is Gracie but they all are excellent.

I love the fact that I was able to make a same day appt. The only draw back for me was my stylist didnt speak or understand enough English for us to communicate. My hair looked great and remained mostly str8 for almost 3 weeks.

Ms. Gladis was my stylist....AMAZING JOB! I went home and my visiting family loved it so much that I took them (4ppl) back later that night to have their hair done as well. She and some others stayed well past closing to accommodate us and we didnt feel rushed at all. I love my curls and barely get my hair straightened but when I do in the future, Ill be seeing Ms. Gladis again!

No appointment needed and was really nice. They dont speak fluent english and I dont speak fluent spanish but we communicated well enough. A little pricey for the simple service I wanted and did take a good long time to finish because they were working me in between clients but there were only two hairdressers doing a lot of blow outs. Still would go back.

Just moved from NJ to Orlando and was looking for a hair salon, did color and blow dry. Amazing!!!!Marisol fixed my hair after having three hair colors. My hair shines.

Im particularly demanding with my hair. The hair salon filled my expectations. My hairdresser Kathy did a great job. Nothing less than what Im accustomed in NYC. In addition, the ambient was relaxing. Comfortable chairs and soft music. My wait time was minimum. I

Very good job after not visiting a hair salon in 6 months. Elizabeth was very professional and I like how my hair looks. The place is a little noisy. Some of the ladies that work there were carrying on a LOUD conversation which was somewhat annoying.

I am new to the area. I was a little nervous. My previous Dominican hair stylist was someone I knew on a personal level and we were in her home setting so a big shop was a change. My spanish is horrible and I was scared I might feel out of place. I was wrong, Yuli was amazing!!!! She is so nice and did a great job with my hair. I couldnt be happier. I now trust them with my hair ❤

Just know that going to any Dominican hair salon, appointments are not preferred over walk-ins unless you have a lot of people in your party (say wedding?). Music is playing and the ladies are chatting away but still working hard. Just make sure you show up with plenty of time before a scheduled event (give yourself about 3 hours). Its not that youll be waiting for a long time (which you might if you show up in the middle of the day) but that it will take that much time to get everything done. I had my hair treated, cut, deep conditioned and styled in 3 hours. Yrenes kept everything moving smoothly and I was never just waiting around. My hair was bouncy for most of the day (It was a hot windy day). My hair remained soft and shiny after being slept on. I dont get my hair done often but I look forward to coming back here.

This is my spot! Whenever Im in Orlando and I need my hair done this is where I go. Great service and fair prices. They take appointments and walkins. I usually just walk in and I never wait long. All of the operators are talented and I always get a great style. When I get a blow out, it lasts until I wash it. They specialize in natural hair so dont worry about being talked into a perm or harrassed about getting one.

When I came to get a keratin treatment and hair cut they completely ignoredifferent me when I said that you continue cut my hair when its wet I have curly hair it will be uneven . they did anyway. then she gave me bangs I did not ask for . it took forever to blow dry my hair because once again she did not listen to me when I said even the slightest drop of water will make my hair frizz and curl make sure its dry before you begin. no one listened . hair had to be cute even shorter than what I asked because she cut it while it was wet and curly. I guess they assumed I didnt know Spanish because I looked white but they talked so much crap about me and my hair. it was utterly disrespectful! I called them out on it and they were quiet the entire time

Awful!!! I asked her to give me a round shape, with layers and she cut off at least THREE INCHES, leaving my hair REALLY SHORT in the back because she said it was uneven. Dont you think you should ask before you SHAVE the back of someones head. I knew it was over then, it was a miracle I didnt start crying right there in the chair, but then they charged me $45 for he haircut. $45!!!! I have been to way better places that did not charge $45 for a haircut. I wish I could give them 0 stars. STAY AWAY!

Took my granddaughter in to have her hair braided. I called and was told sure to bring her In.. I did, we checked in, waited a good 30 minutes before we walked out. Never will I return. Customer service was terrible. I just read the other reviews. One said they (salon dominicano) was racist. Here I felt the same way bc Im white. Nope they just do not know what customer service is. And maybe all they know how to do is straighten and blow out hair. The response from the owner was hilarious she said (misspelling) that her stylists were professionals. Oh yeah maybe so but 50-75% of your interested patrons will never know bc you have horrible customer service, your not open when you say on the internet, and your professional stylists are rude. Shame for making excuses and not correcting the problem.

Naturals beware! Severe heat damaged. The back of my hair is still straight I asked many times if she’s accustomed to doing black natural hair and they said yes 🙄 I’m so upset right now years of growth GONE!

Loveee Salón dominicano! I was looking for a salon to save me from the mess my hair had become after some highlights and bad cut. Luckily, I found Marisol she is taking her time to hidrate and get my hair back to being healthy!I would recommend this place to anyone ❤️

The salon Dominican at e colonial was a horrible experience. The owner have me a price after checking my hair and after they did it charged me $75 more than the original price. I later 4 hours to my Botox service done.

They may do good with hair but here I am at 5:30 pm and they are closed even though they are open until 7 so I wasted a 45 min drive here. Im going to have to find a more reliable place to get my hair done.

I love this salon, they serve you quickly and the service is very good, I always go to get curls and my hairdresser does me a great job. I have very healthy hair.

Wonderful experience. I was assisted by Amarilis who advised me on my style. Reasonable prices. Very satisfied. I recommend it!

It was at one time a good salon and I had good experiences. But this terrible time they over-processed my hair, split it and stained everything; No question of Money paying 185.00 to leave with damaged hair and counting 4:00 hours of time! They lost one more clientele.

I will never change my style again... First, I went with Greycis and did some highlights and they looked wow! she is excellent. I came another day and Greycis wasnt there so I asked Yuli for highlights and she dyed most of my hair caramel color. Spend 3 hours with bleach and other dyes on your hair. I dont know what happened because he doesnt tell me either. Unfortunately they lost a client...

I was helped by a girl named Greysi who was very kind and left my hair perfect. I must admit that my hair is very curly and it leaves my hair silky and shiny. The girls are all very friendly and the place is very clean. I recommend it!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I went to have my hair dyed and they left it stained and I very badly paid 150 for something that looked bad.

Marisol has been my favorite for years!!! I always leave there with my hair beautiful and healthy. (I travel so that she can be the one who works on my hair!)

The young woman who cut my hair is either an apprentice or has no idea how to cut short hair. He slaughtered my hair, and on top of that I had to pay him for the massacre. Shame, Ill have to wait for him to grow up and Ill never set foot in that room.I dont recommend it even to the worst enemy.

I asked for a treatment and they gave me another one that I had not asked for. They lied to me about the treatment, which made me very upset, and on top of that I had to pay for a treatment that was not the one I asked for.
