100000/10!!!!!I first want to say my review would have been 2-3 stars as the first person who did my treatment, Luisa, didn’t do a great job. However, the manager, Becky, went WAY out of her way to fix it for me and redid my treatment on her own time. It was THE most relaxing experience and I will definitely be back! Amazing customer service and an amazing treatment. We are lucky a head spa like this exists in Phoenix! I did the $115 Tranquil Head Spa treatment.
I got the Tranquil package! I don’t remember who I got but I loved this! It’s like the ultimate hair stroking service. Very relaxing for people who have a sensitive head! I only wish the massage on the neck had more pressure, but that’s my own personal preference. Guys- buy your girl this. She will thank you!
If I could give more stars I would!!!! This was my first experience and Becky made sure it was worth every second! The vibe, the smell, the customer service……. All above and beyond! I go off of smell first walking into places, yes, sounds weird, but if it smell funny, I’m not staying! I will definitely be back and will only book with Becky!!!! Thank you for everything!!!!!!
The customer service was great. With that said, I did the tranquil package with the professional blow out and extended shoulder massage. The head spa was an ok experience, but I would have preferred more tickles. The scraping hurt my head and although it got rid of the dandruff that was there, it left my head sore for a few days. My hair was left very oily at the end.The hot oil treatment was so extremely hot on one side that I thought it would burn me.The facial was great, but I broke out afterward. The extended shoulder massage was nice but not very thorough.I left the head spa experience to go to the front for my professional blow out, and it was anything but that. This seemed like an attempt at a blow dry, but it fell short of the blow out completely. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS! IT IS JUST SOMEONE ELSE BLOW DRYING YOUR HAIR!On top of all of this, the blow dry is charged separately, and done by a third party, so you have to tip twice.Would not go back and would not recommend this place to anyone.
This is bucket list material! The entire spa treatment is luxurious and highly recommended from me, a hedonist! It was so comfortable and relaxing that it’s like a drug, I want to go every week! When I got home, my hair was so soft and manageable. Even my friend who has eczema was thrilled with her results. Can’t wait to go back!
It was okay but definitely not worth the price, barely half of a normal head spa routine was done unless you pay a crazy amount for add on services and overall it just didnt feel that relaxing. On top of having to wait quite a while after my scheduled appointment time to even get back to a room. Definitely didnt seem like the same experience that was shown on social media, probably wont visit again.
A unique little spa thats not really established in Phoenix for the type of service they provide.I bought the 50 minute scalp massage. I had Becky as my provider. And from the start of the service, I knew it was gonna be just what was needed. From the massaging of the oils, to the actual scalp massage/treatment, I was pretty much in and out of sleep practicaly the whole service! What a great experience!! Ill be back with friends soon!!
My husband got me this for my birthday. There is a few things that I would like to have seen different, like being in the same room with three more people right next to me. I would like to have seen a little bit more personal space. Also I had a 60 minute massage and thats all they offered for the time, I wish they had longer times to choose from. Other than that it was a great experience
Today -Mother’s Day my daughter treated us to a head spa and blow out. Unfortunately, me the mother was not able to get the blow out due to my time slot “disappearing off the schedule”. My daughter had confirmation of the appointments in her text message. They did comp her spa and blow out which we are thankful for….just be careful when scheduling…online and via text message. Confirm every day if you have to.I talked all week about getting this blow out-it is like a treat for me. 😫super bummed. The girls who did the head spa did a great job. No complaints there at all.
Honestly was really looking for to this experience and it’s was such a disappointment. I paid $160+ for their top package, not only does my scalp look horrible, the back of my shirt is wet from water spraying and I was out nearly 30 min before I was supposed to finish. Absolute rip off. The blow out was a complete waste also. Honestly don’t waste your money here. You’ll leave with flaky scalp, wet shirt and sub par blowout. Extremely disappointed I paid $160 for this.
Scheduled appointments for my mom and I for Mothers Day for head spas and blowouts each. We have been here before and there were some scheduling issues so l texted their number directly to schedule this time. When we get there, they tell us that they only have one blowout on the schedule. I showed them all the text messages and confirmations so they texted the owner/manager. (So much for a relaxing head spa!)We get our head spas and I finish first and start my blowout. My mom then finishes and they only then tell her that she cant get a blowout. I texted the number l had been texting to book the appointments and she very condescendingly said the appointment somehow got canceled and another customer took the spot online. Keep in mind, because I did not schedule the appointments online, there was no way I could have even canceled it.Many issues here. Why didnt they tell me this before I got my blowout? I would have given my mom the spot. Why didnt they try to squeeze us in? We were already there yet they automatically accommodated the customer who was scheduled in error.Just a warning to double AND triple check all appointments because clearly there are scheduling issues. Regardless, the girl that did my head spa and blowout was great. My mom was offered a complementary blowout in the future, but unfortunately, we will not be back because of this. (Also defeats the purpose of a Mothers Day gift?) Instead, they covered my blowout which I appreciated but not so happy Mothers Day!!!
This is the text I sent to my best friends:OMG! That was probably one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I’m just leaving the Zen Head Massage Spa and I can’t tell you which part of the process was my favorite. It was one of the most nurturing experiences I’ve ever had. Probably better than any massage that I’ve had recently. Even better, I lucked out. No one was there. I had the whole spot to myself.I saw Maria. She was amazing! Perfect match for me - allowed me to enjoy the experience in peace and was so kind.
Had the 50 min head spa treatment done by Darryl. Highly recommend the service and the person. Extremely friendly and gentle, accommodating to any discomfort you might feel depending on any sensitivities. I definitely felt and saw a difference in my scalp and hair after the service. The buildup was 99% gone immediately after. There is one room with all beds in a row (I think there were 4-5) which means you could be sharing the room with other customers. Would be nice to have the option to separate by curtains but overall not bad, especially because everyone knocks out within ten minutes from how relaxing it is. The wall separating the room and waiting/blowdry area is thin so you could hear conversation or air blowing but again, everyone knocks out anyway :)With the head spa treatment, you have the option to pay for a blow dry service or dry your own hair after. You also have option to leave with your hair wet. All that you need is provided (towels, brushes, blowdryer).Do this service and you won’t regret it! Recommend scheduling in advance. I was lucky to get in myself for just being in town for business. Would absolutely come back here next time. Thanks, Darryl!
I would have preferred to email the business owner directly, but could not find an email address anywhere...The service me and my team members (all beauty professionals) received last week was below sub par. We were told to head back to the treatment room and where to put our shoes, and that was all the info we received before laying down on the treatment beds. We all left with wet clothes, dirty wet hair, and itchy scalps. None of the treatments were the same. My practitioner did not wash the left side of my head at all. That may be because she was using one hand and texting throughout my service. There was another client getting her hair dried during our services, she was speaking so loudly that we could hear her entire conversation and could not relax during the service. My team and I were very much looking forward to being taken care of by other beauty pros. This ended up being a pathetic waste of time and money.
Very underwhelming and did not live up to expectations. I paid for the head spa treatment (50 min) and the add on facial massage (15 min) and although the facial massage was amazing, the rest of the experience fell flat for me. I arrived 5 min prior to my appointment and they took me back 15 min after my appointment time (fine, i get it, people run behind), but I did not realize until after I had left that I started my appointment at 545 and I was out at 635 so I paid for 65 minutes and was cheated out of 15 minutes. The head spa treatment was a glorified hair wash at best. There were multiple times where she stopped for at least a minute at a time and since the room was cramped, I kept having to move my feet for people to get by. Very hard to relax and I felt like the scalp massage part was a rough hair wash and not relaxing at all. For $130 with tip, it is not worth the price and would probably not come back.
Awful experience. Theres no door between the spa room and the hair styling room, so if anyone is getting a blowout youll hear the hairdryer during your whole treatment. If the client and stylist are chatty youll hear them shouting to hear each other over the noise too, very relaxing. The massage itself was fine until the water turned scalding hot...I like a hot shower but it was so hot I instinctively recoiled to avoid getting burned. According to the massage therapist, when there are too many clients at once theres not enough cold water. Shouldnt they schedule fewer clients instead of burning people?
If you have THICK and/or CURLY hair, do NOT schedule a 35 minute. Also, comb your hair BEFORE you go.This was my first time at a head spa and I thought it best to try out a shorter one to save money and test it out. If you want a thorough scrubbing I guess it’s a good bet. But I honestly felt like my hair was being yanked. And it was not combed once.
I had a great experience. This was my first time trying a head spa, and I absolutely recommend it. My head and scalp felt amazing afterward. They also have add-on services, like a blowout or give you products to style your hair after the service.
Carly was fantastic! I fell asleep...facial and head spa were so wonderful. Very relaxed after my appointment. Soft music playing. 4 tables in one room. Everyone whispers. They offer you a pillow to put under your knees and a soft blanket. My hair felt super soft. And my husband said it was shiny. Cant wait to go again.
Went today after getting a gift certificate for Christmas. Id been wanting to try a head spa for a while now and was excited for the experience. That being said, I have nothing to compare it to other than a standard massage that would incorporate a scalp massage...which this most definitely is not.First, its in a very sketchy area which doesnt immediately bring relaxation when you have to dodge the homeless people in the parking lot and see a strip mall with only temporary signs because of the transient nature of the businesses that reside there. The lobby is barron. Like a desk, two chairs and a small table. No decor to speak of. Not welcoming.Once you are back in the spa area, the beds are only about 4 feet apart from each other so theres no privacy making it difficult to relax when you can hear and see everything going on around you.The spa beds talk too so not only do you have other people in the room, but the beds are saying spa over everytime they shut off the water which is weird. But the biggest disappointment is that out of the 50 minutes, I maybe got 10 minutes of actual hands on massage. The rest of it was brushing, so much brushing. Then combing. Then using some other dollar store tools to aimlessly use on my head in no particular pattern until it was time to wash my hair. The water would start out luke warm, go cold, get super hot, then cold again. I couldnt relax because I was either on the verge of being scalded or had the goosebumps from being too cold. She washed my hair similar to how a stylist would...with speed, vigor and scrubbed hard both with her hands then with a brush again. No conditioner was used. The sink draining was the last thing I experienced on the table as she wrapped a towel around my sopping wet hair and handed me a brush to head to the bathroom with to finish whatever styling I could do without a dryer.Wouldnt go back. I could pay my teenage daughter half the amount to do the same treatment at home and be more relaxed. Save your money.
This experience was absolutely amazing! This was my first time going to a head spa and Maria was wonderful. 10/10 would recommend.
This was a birthday gift from my husband and it was wonderful! I got a 50-minute head massage with and 15-minute facial massage add-on, every second of my treatment was lovely! It was so relaxing! I will 100% be back. Nanette was excellent!
I would not recommend this place. The service itself wasn’t very good, she spent a lot of time using this device on me that I could easily do myself. And she started me 15 minutes late then ended it 5 minutes early which is a lot when the whole thing is 35 minutes total, then of course the iPad only had 20,25,30% for tip so I tried to do a custom tip of 18% because I wasn’t that happy with the service and it would only let me enter an amount not a percent so I had to tip her in cash which then meant to tipped her 22% which annoyed me more. I will not be back after a very disappointing experience.
Staff was really nice, it just didnt live up to expectations and my head was sore when I left. Plus, the rooms are not separated like a tridional spa. youre all in one room, and its not vary relaxing and vary cramped. I had to squeeze by another clients feet just to get to my table
I wanted to enjoy a scalp massage and spa treatment for my hair but my experience did not meet my expectations. I was pretty underwhelmed and did not feel like I received much more than a subpar hair wash. Disappointed, especially after paying so much money plus tip.
Disappointed with my services over all. There is no privacy, my therapist was very light handed. Owner not concerned. Maybe it was an off day for my therapist.
I had a really good experience here! I got the 50 minute scalp massage and I was so relaxed I fell asleep- that almost never happens for me! Very peaceful experience. Would recommend.
Worth every penny! i joined the waitlist bc they were booked a few weeks out. within 2 days i got a text saying an appointment was available. i booked it. so happy. i got Anna. it was so relaxing and an amazing atmosphere.
I got DJ for my head spa appointment and he was amazing! His head/neck massage was amazing and I was so relaxed after! Im gonna go to him again!
I had the best head spa massage & blowout by Carley yesterday. She was super professional and fun ! I’ve told all my friends and raved about my great experience.
Just went to get a 50 minute treatment with the facial massage add on… let me just tell you this was bliss! I believe the girls name was Shelby, one of the best self care treatments I’ve had in a while!
Was a great experience. My sister and I went for the first time. So relaxing. Will be going back and adding on the face massage.
The head treatment was so relaxing, and I felt super refreshed after. The salon was simple and clean and the atmosphere was relaxing. Ill def be back
Really frustrated with my experience. I was looking forward to doing a 50 minute treatment. I drove over 30 minutes to get to my appointment and after waiting in the waiting room for 20 minutes past my appointment time I was notified that they couldn’t accommodate my appointment. Another employee had spoken to me 10 minutes into my wait and didn’t notify that my appointment couldn’t be accommodated and I had to wait another 10 minutes for another employee to inform me of the change.
Did a head spa treatment and a facial add on, loved every second of it. The workers were all so friendly and kind. I would go back to for their hospitality
Carley is amazing! I got the 50 minute head treatment and have never felt more relaxed! Can’t wait to go back to Carley for another treatment!
If I could leave 0 stars I would, the whole experience was lacking and missing nearly every element of what a head spa should be. Won’t return, very underwhelming and disappointing.
If I had Jeff Bezos money, Id come here every day! Ninette was the absolute best!
Best experience I have been a few times and Im taking a group in a couple weeks. So relaxing.
So relaxing and calming! Will definitely be adding this to my self care regimen! Best money Ive spent 💜
Get experience I didnt think I was going to like it, I was wrong it well worth going. Had a great time.
Loved every second of my massage, totally recommend this place 👌
Relaxing and unique experience!
