Freds On The River Food Mart and Deli

I just left there and bought a shrimp poboy. At 620 on March 25th 2024. It is the best shrimp Poboy I have ever had. Ive had a lot of food from there. Whoever the cook is, today is off the chain. He is amazing. Thank you so much.

There I was, minding my own business, when all of a sudden a good time, great people, exciting atmosphere, and succulent food appeared.

Food to order is always good. Especially the breakfast and the burgers. Service always seems to be good. Its next to a bar so dont be surprised if somebody tries to start a conversation late at night

This was where you could get the last 100% meat hamburger 🍔. But they are half the size and started putting breadcrumbs and eggs in the meat. And all for $12.30.

WORST BAR EVER! Apart from being publicly embarrassed for looking young for 22 years old, there were stray cats roaming in and out, and $3 a beer for 4 beers costing $13. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Save your money and go somewhere else!!

DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE. I BROUGHT SOME FRIENDS TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT TO ENJOY THE SOUTHERN LA. HOSBITALITY AND WAS TOTALLY EMBARASSED. THE BAND WAS awesome the bartenders where excellent. However after my guest where hassled by a off duty employee that claimed to be the manger we immediately left the premises. The tall older blonde haired woman who claimed to be the manger and informed us that our money and tips where not welcome as she worked her way around the back corner of the bar bragging to the other patrons how she had told us off and pointing us out to all that where in the place made us realize that we where not welcome. PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE AS THEY DO NOT WELCOME YOU ANYONE THAT IS NOT A LOCAL.tHE OWNERS OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT SHOULD CONSIDER RESTRICTING OFF DUTY EMPLOYEES WHOM ARE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCHOL FROM CONFRONTING THEIR CUTOMERS.

Food was ok. Not the level of quality it used to be.

Took three times to cook the cheese sticks. Over cooked the first time next two times had salt on themNormally I have no problem with the food. Need a new cook

Freds is such a great place to go watch sporting events and shoot pool, theres never any kind of drama all the times Ive been there and the bartenders are always soo nice.

Good food. Made to order. Very friendly staff. They will bring to you over at the bar.

Great stop by for a bite. The half and half shrimp and fish tasted great.

Great bartenders!! Ice cold beer and A/C! Live music at 5 on Sunday!

First and last time to visit.Motorcycles have to park away from the bar, service is way under par and over priced beer.Not again for me
