I love this place, I usually come here because there’s no cover charge and I enjoy the option of an upstairs and downstairs. A few arcade games which is cool and they have a coat check. Downstairs is almost basement like and usually a good DJ and music with a fire beat to get down to. My only critique I had after coming here this past weekend, is the music upstairs could be turned down so people sitting and not dancing downstairs can have conversations! Also there’s no captions on the tv which may be helpful for anyone who wants to watch. Lastly, the couches downstairs have tears in some places and could be updated! Overall, a lovely place to come to with a date or friends to get a drink and dance the night away!

The stairs leading down to the dance floor are VERY DANGEROUS. They were wet, I slipped and fell, hurt myself really bad. Spilled my drink in the fall, took maybe 2 sips before wearing it (it was my 1st drink, I wasnt even drunk) I couldnt find anyone to report it too, bartenders were too busy. They shouldnt let people go up/down the stairs with drinks that can be spilled, causing a hazard for the next person, since its so hard to find someone to let them know.

Great spot always a vibe when I come here. Security is always fun and respectful and I feel safe whenever I’m there.

Rude bouncers who said my boyfriends (21 years old) ID was fake and wouldnt let him show a passport or other form of id. He wasnt drunk or acting belligerent so there was no need for them to be ridiculously rude. Wasnt even that late at night

The worst night of my life happened here. They let too many people in and people were getting crushed up against the walls of the hallway going down to the dance floor. I ended up being crushed by a large man who started a fight because they were trying to cut the line. For about 10 minutes I was up against the wall sobbing and hyperventilating begging somebody to help me out. The staff watched as I screamed and after I had hit the ground because I could no longer breathe they dragged me out of the crowd and threw me out onto the street….. sobbing and still having the biggest panic attack of my life. Nobody from the club came outside to check on me. Eventually 2 girls leaving the building helped me but I will never ever be back or possibly ever go to a club again because of this experience. I would love to report them for endangering the public but I doubt anything would come of it. 10 million thumbs down. 👎

Was in Providence visiting friends and I ended up here one evening. The vibe here was super chill. The music was very good, and the staff really looked out for their customers and made sure they were keeping them hydrated..(if you follow the drift 🤣. I will definitely come back again someday

Packed in a basement but in a good way! If the line is too long you can apparently cashapp security $40 to let you in the back door. Seems safe enough!

First time going last night had a great time, good vibes cheap drinks & good music. No entry fee which was a plus.

We went here on a whim and had a great experience. Contrary to other reviews we were served right away even through we are not hipster enough. Bartenders were friendly and the drinks were good. The atmosphere was great and the dj was 100 times better then the place we had just left. Only downside is that it became very cramped as the night went on but we didnt know about the downstairs. Id definitely go back.

The programming is exceptional, the space is vibey and clean, and the cocktails are delicious. the best club in Providence!

Quite a decent bar upstairs and downstairs. live Dj on the basement. crowd mostly white with few blacks between 21 and up. the drinks are reasonable. Theres no dress code but you dont wanna show up at the door with short and sandal. I dont think security will let you in lol. The music is mostly hip hop and few old school classic. Overall, if you young and hip, you will like it there. My only negative, this place should have 2 bartenders on weekends because of the waiting time to buy a cocktail

Usually free. Sometimes you have to pay to get into a show in the basement. Theres usually a decent crowd here every night of the week after 11pm. 4 bathrooms (ground floor and basement) with multiple stalls so you dont have to wait in a line for eternity. There are a couple of games; pinball and table tennis. They have only kicked me out 3 times.

I love it. its the best hole in the wall ever. Music is aiight because they have a diverse crowd, but what my wife and I live the most, nobody is in here looking for trouble people step on each others shoes on the dancefloor and we keep partying. Everyone is smiling.truly a great place to have a great time! But, the should start a coat check, because we all have to hang them on hooks in a hallway away from the dancefloor and bar and if you have anything of value in your pocket it can be taken. I havent had anything stolen let alone leave something of value in their. So just be cautious...also alot of people just hang coats on top of other coats thats on the hooks and you dont know what kind of bugs or what people carry nowadays but great spot. Also one of the few spots that serve Hennessy shots on the city. Trust me.

Good bar, hidden dance floor downstairs. More than a bit cramped, but the two floors help. The performance on any given day is the only downside, sometimes really good sometimes not so much. Try the pickle back

My friend and I had a great time. The club downstairs was great. The DJ was awesome! Loved that there was no cover. Will go again.

If youre not hipster enough the mentally challenged bar tenders will ignore you while they dance in circles and stare at you with money in your hand. Seriously took me 30 mins to get a drink every time Ive been here

Always a good time at the Salon. Whenever I go there I’m always treated great and like a VIP. I appreciate all the staff and enjoy the vibes most of all

Cool place. The basement had a different vibe from upstairs. When it is busy the bartenders are understaffed and slow at get drinks.
