Dance On Main Ballroom Studio

I am a beginner with ballroom dance, so this is my first experience with a dance studio - but it has been fantastic. I have gotten to know Mari and her amazing staff here at Dance on Main through the last few years. Their special events they host throughout the year are always fun and entertaining, and they include special group choreography and live musicians to create an interactive experience. Love this studio and their staff!

This establishment is first class, all the way. A great location in Rochester and so much fun to visit and learn to ballroom dance. The staff are so welcoming, always coming up with great ideas for parties and ways to teach ballroom dance. I attended the recent Halloween party and had so much fun. Jenna, one of the instructors, was so nice and a joy to watch out on the dance floor. Check out this place and have some fun!

We have been taking dance lessons with Tim for a long time. He makes sure he is teaching us what we need to know to look good dancing. Always patient, always professional. An excellent teacher!

You will not be disappointed. Get lessons on-on-one, a couple, or a group all at reasonable prices. They even have fun open dance parties with group lessons. I was learning AND having fun at the same time. I literally had the biggest smile while I was sweating and twirling! Some of the best cardio ever. Great environment and amazing teachers, especially Jenna!

A great space to learn some new dance moves and enjoy a view. Had an amazing time each time I set foot in this Balloon! Always huge smiles from all the staff and clients alike. Great energy and safe clean atmosphere. I personally love the mirrors stay so clean. Perfect for working on my posing routines.

This is an absolutely amazing studio with even better instructors. Ive been taking private lessons with Jenna for over a year now and could not be happier with my experience. Ive also either taken a group class or have danced with all of the instructors, and they are all extremely knowledgeable, kind, caring, and helpful. A high-quality dance floor and sound system, as well as a fun and encouraging community, is just icing on the cake.

No matter if you take private lessons, start with group lessons or maybe just want come in to the weekly practice evenings, Dance On Main is the place to go. Its a warm, well maintained and low pressure environment. By that I mean that theyre not just dragging you through the syllabus to fill check-boxes, the dance instructor make sure that their students enjoy dancing. Since many years were talking private lessons with Tim and we couldnt be happier. Hes a born entertainer and can perfectly adapt to a students individual speed of learning dance steps.

Glenn is an awesome instructor! My husband and I took several classes with him learning various dances and enjoyed ourselves so much that we decided to have him choreograph our wedding first dance. We received so many compliments on our first dance and we felt confident and excited to show off our new dance moves. Glenn is the best! We will sure to be back for additional lessons.

This studio is owned by a wonderful dancer and stylist, Mari. The pros are wonderful. Everyone is friendly for group lessons and makes you feel very welcome. I have learned so much in a few months and look forward to many more sessions at Dance on Main!!!! It’s a lot of fun.

With an excellent dance floor, professional instructors, good value for your money and a great location , there was no need to go anywhere else. There is no high pressure sales pitch , and we could not ask for a more friendly atmosphere. We have been with our very knowledgeable and talented instructor Tim for over 6 years.

As an engineering grad student, dancing is not something that come naturally to me. Kai however was a wonderful teacher who really helped me make the most out of my lessons at Dance on Main.

I’ve really enjoyed the group and private lessons. We started in January 2020 and got to experience the dance parties before all the Covid changes. The instructors are very informative and friendly!

Rochester Ballroom is dedicated to providing meaningful dancing opportunities to Down Syndrome young adults. These Friends of Rochester Ballroom enjoy weekly lessons each paired with a trained adult and are showcased twice a year in a gala event in which they perform before a live audience. Rochester Ballroom has experienced instructors who give private lessons as well as group instruction in a professional atmosphere.

I love the Dancercise classes via Zoom. Mari is an excellent teacher and motivator. I can feel all the positivity coming through loud and clear. Great workout! Fun time!
