Thank you very much. Five stars! The massage technique is very skilled and able to accurately find and solve my discomfort problems, making me feel very comfortable and relaxed. The technique is smooth and powerful, and the massage is moderate, so that I feel tired and stressed are relieved, and the body and mind are refreshed.

I am from out-of-state and travel to Rochester once a year for Mayo Clinic appointments. I happened to one year, by chance, make an appointment at Cloud 9 Spa for a full body massage. OMG...it was literally life-changing! I felt rejuvenated for 3-4 months. It was the most refreshing experience and, by far, THE best massage Ive ever had- and I have had many over the course of my life. I cant say enough good things about Cloud 9: I am always treated to friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere. I never come to Rochester without making an appointment. There are 2 locations managed by the same owner, both in the immediate vicinity and within walking distance of Mayo. Bao is always able to accommodate my medical appointment schedule with a massage, even on short notice. Qing was my masseuse last December, and she was exceptional.Love these professionals!Dont be swayed by the negative reviews.Be assured, Cloud 9 is the real deal.

Bao is thoughtful and incredible. She and Qin supported me to figure out exactly what I needed. This was the first time I tried cupping and I was impressed with the results. Felt great after and more comfortable in the upcoming days after receiving cupping! Will be back

I had requested a 30-minute massage with cupping. I was under the impression that the cupping would be included in the massage. When I went to pay, I was charge $103.00 for a 30-minute treatment. I was charged for a 30-minute massage and additional fee for cupping. The pricing is VERY misleading. All of the other places Ive been to for this kind of therapy never had a separate charge for cupping. I feel their pricing is very deceitful. While I though the therapy was excellent, I will not return as over 100.00 for a 30-minute treatment is ridiculously overpriced.

Bao is a very good masseur who was able to untie my knots after a long air travel. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Within half an hour she had me sorted out. Will be back again during my stay at Rochester

Honestly, this feels like medical grade massage. Bao is an intuitive healer using DEEP tissue work. She’s been my massage therapist and body work person for years. Go nowhere else!

Decided to try a gua sha treatment, as it was posted out side the door for $29. I assumed it was for face, I was wrong. The lady working asked me to take off my shirt and I explained I’d like gua sha for the face. She said ok no problem and asked if my husband would like a neck massage while he waited I said he probably would. So thinking I was spending around $45-$50 between the two I was extremely surprised when I got to the counter. She showed me gua sha on the menu then turned it over and pointed to face massage and it said $69. I had not known this and I wish I was explained this before receiving the massage. I would have opted for the $29 one. She added that and the neck massage together plus some other fee and tax and it came up to $85. Then she pointed to the receipt and demanded a tip!! $95 charged when I walked in for a $29 treatment is ridiculous! I felt hustled!! We visit Mayo once a week for my husband’s treatment and I wanted a little moment of relaxation and it turned into stress as I was not budgeting for that. Now looking at the reviews I wouldn’t have gone, and I won’t be back. Shame on you for ripping off people in a medical center!!

Come here when you are sore and have a stiff body. Best place I’ve ever been. So relaxing with dim lighting. Affordable and professional. Would definitely recommend. Bao was 10/10.

Worst massage cost $99. Sign outside posted 30% off full body massage. I say I want that 60. Min. My feet hurt. Dont touch hip. Keeps walking away leave door open I can see other man. I ask what are you doing just rub Mt back ? I need my feet. Say %59. More only upper back. Nono I argue do my feet. Ok back of legs feet softly. Thats it no arms head face. 2 of then in roomchstying. No speak English. Horrible stole my money.

Bao and Qui was my therapist. I called for a 90 min massage. As I was laying there waiting for her to come in, Boa came in and said 2 of us for 45 min. The massage started and I told Bao 2 or 3 times it was too strong and she , it will get better.. It did not get better. Qui worked on my feet and legs and did ok. I was not satisfied at all.

This was my second time at Cloud 9 and it was more amazing than the first. The first time I came I couldn’t turn my head to one side and Boa worked on me for an hour and I was better after that treatment. Today I was having shoulder and neck pain and Boa spent an hour making me feel amazing, she incorporated different techniques and I was so impressed. I didn’t think it could get better than my first experience and then it did. The prices are amazing, there are different massages to choose from based on the pressure you are looking for. I can honestly say I didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to go back!!

If you want the knots out of your back, this is the place for you. If you want a relaxing spa experience, keep walking. By far the roughest massage Ive ever had, the gua sha treatment was wild, but this is the best my muscles have felt in a looooong time.

I decided to try Cloud 9 massage therapy. This site is exceptionally clean and professionally laid out. I have serious back and leg issues from a motorcycle accident. I had a 60-minute session with Qin. She was very professional and inquired about my needs. She then proceeded to give me an amazing deep pressure massage. She was thorough and continued to inquire about my pain levels. When I left, I was walking much better and during my drive home I was pretty much pain free. I highly recommend Qin and Cloud 9 massage.Over the last year I have been to this spa many times. I have had Bao as my therapist often. She has always been professional and caring. She has suggested different approaches to dealing with my issues. (Now have bad left shoulder and stenosis of the thoracic area of my back.) She has been upfront about prices and open to my questions. Without regular treatments here I believe I would be in much more pain. I leave feeling relieved from most of my pain and relaxed. I will continue to seek out Bao for treatment.

Cloud 9 was a wonderful experience. Boa was so welcoming and kind, and gave me a wonderful massage. She worked on my back, neck, hips, feet, and sinuses and it was all excellent. Everything is very neat and clean. I will definitely be back! Very affordable as well.

I am a local chef who works long hours and in pain most of my day… I went into cloud 9 and these ladies work miracles, I’m happy I found this place. I never felt so rejuvenated and ready to work, thank you ladies for all you do.

Bao is the best! She gave me Bo Jin therapy — it’s deep but that is what makes it work. The gua shua is also fantastic.

I would have to echo a previous comment as I spent a good bit of time wondering if the therapist was licensed and knew what she was doing. I’m giving two stars as I wanted cupping and got it but the massage itself was unsatisfactory and I actually ended the appointment early due to the poor quality. There was a lack of massage technique in general, mostly elbowing my back and gluteus. I’m unsure as to why she asked what areas I wanted to focus on as this didn’t happen, I actually asked her to move on to a different area twice as she was so far off course. The appointment started awkwardly due to miscommunication and her walking in on me changing twice even though I voiced I wasn’t ready. She’s nice and this is located in a good spot but I would not recommend going here. This service was not worth the cost and I left feeling as though I wasted my money.

I recently had been experiencing some neck and shoulder pain for about two weeks so decided to stop in to Cloud 9 and see if I could get in for a massage. I was greeted by Boa who was very friendly and even though I did not have an appointment she was able to fit me right in.She asked about my concerns and whether I preferred a deep tissue or a more gentle massage and I told her deep massage.Boa continued to ask if she was applying too much pressure and even though it hurt a little I know from experience that to get the muscle to relax it has to hurt, within 24 hours I was feeling great relief and was able to resume my normal schedule again.I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the spa. I would definitely return to Cloud 9 for any future massage needs.Deb Flicek

I have had multiple massages in the area and Cloud 9 is by far the best. The 60 min specialty techniques massage was on special for $99. It includes hot stone and acupressure and is absolutely amazing 🤩! So professionally done with true healing qualities. Thank you for the wonderful experience! Ill keep coming back for more. (To the reviews who complained about pricing, if you add something on mid massage its gonna cost extra. Look at the menu and pick the one that works best for you BEFORE you start, there are plenty of options available)

Saw the good reviews from other people and went in as my back was stiff. Definitely wish I did not go here. This was by far the most painful massage I have ever had and I am definitely in a lot more pain after the massage than before. I told her multiple times that I was in pain but she did not ease up and then decided to proceed with cupping therapy without telling me what it entails or telling me that she would charge me extra for it. Left me with large purple marks all over my back. Kept talking throughout the massage. Not only was this not a relaxing experience but at the end of it I had to pay for something I did not ask for and I am in a lot more pain.

I have had a back sore for a long time, cloud 9 is close to my work. I decided to give it a try, Bao was very friendly and helpful, because I never have any massage experiences before, she suggested to have 3 treatments first to see if it works for me, after 2 treatments I already felt a lot of relaxation on my back, I definitely continue on to my 3rd treatment.

I have sore shoulder & back muscle pain due to traveling for 21 days. The best traditional Chinese massage I ever had! The facial acupressure was amazing! “I’m in Cloud 9!” That’s exactly how I feel after my 90 minutes massage.

This was my first time at Cloud 9 and I will certainly be back more. Bao consulted me prior to the massage regarding the areas I had trouble with. The massage was both relaxing and therapeutic. The pain/tightness in my back has gone away!

My massage today was excellent. The girl who did it (dont know her name) was better than any massage Ive had. The place is smaller but located right downtown Rochester and much cheaper than Massage Envy, which is where Ive been going up until now. I would highly recommend this place. The language is a little difficult to understand (all Chinese staff) but they are very nice and very helpful. Im going back next week!

I always had the special techniques massage at this store, it was amazing, and today I decided to write a review for them. I did this kind of massage at China before but I am surprise I could find something even better in Rochester than what I had tried in China, it completely release my stress after the massage . Their employees all are so friendly and skillful, and now I already made their Salon as my monthly relaxing station. Highly recommend to everyone! The best in MN!

She worked on the areas I requested somewhat originally a 30 minute massage, I agreed to 60 as she had time. Added hot stones without telling me it would be extra. I requested reflexology, but all she did was hold down both feet for a moment. An hour massage was suppose to be $69 then I was charged $99. And as another reviewer noted, about 10 minutes was pulling my hair. Plus the massage was only 50 minutes. Would not recommend !

I am very happy with the massages I receive here. The location is convenient in downtown Rochester and clean. I recommend this massage therapist.

I scheduled a massage because my shoulders and neck were feeling tight, and I also needed to relax. Online they said the price was $60. I thought that was a good deal, so we scheduled it. They had a puppy at the salon, which was super adorable and I got to hold him. That was fun! Definitely the best part of the experience. The massage itself was painful. At the time I just thought, this must be one of those things that hurt now, but feel better later. I have had massages before that had parts that were a little painful at certain parts, but I went home feeling better. I woke up this morning feeling like I got hit by a bus. My neck and shoulder actually hurt now, whereas yesterday they were just feeling a little tight. Also, when I got the register they told me the price was actually $75, and when she saw I was paying in cash she demanded my change for a tip. I feel a little robbed and I have never had someone demand a tip. I was not planning on spending $80 on this massage, and I was hoping to feel better after the massage not worse. Don’t go here.

My husband bought me a gift certificate for a 60 minute massage. I scheduled an appointment and showed them the gift certificate. I was told it was not for a massage even though it was. They gave me a 30 minute massage. I talked with a manager and tried to explain that it was for a 60 minute massage. She argued withe and I left. About 15-20 later I get a text saying they made a mistake, that my massage was supposed to be 45 minutes.I have no desire to go back. I am sore from the massage that I did get. I am frustrated that my husband paid for a 60 minute relaxing massage and they didnt honor that.

This was the first time I got a hot stone massage and I felt my pain melt away! Bau was absolutely amazing in her technique and professionalism. I will be back and bringing my husband with me next time!

Holy buckets! Lisa is a powerhouse. She provided a deep tissue massage and worked out knots in my back I didnt even know I had. I walked out and could actually stand up straighter.I had scheduled an hour massage. I arrived 15 minutes late due to a doctors appointment. They still gave me a full hour and didnt charge for the 15 minutes I was late.I will absolutely be going back. I initially tried scheduling online but didnt get a response so I would recommend calling.

Massage- Best Ive ever had. Hands down. I had Sue and she was amazing. Im used to a little more.... privacy I guess when it comes to rubbing the lower body, and the little towel didnt always cover everything, but she was cool about it. I got a deep tissue massage and the pressure was really firm and she kept finding more spots I didnt even know were sore! The price was $75 w/tax, plus a tip. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wasnt asked what I wanted as far as what kind of massage or how long. I just got an hour deep tissue. Which I wouldve chosen, but if I was on a budget or time crunch I would want to be consulted first about my preference. Ill be back for sure.

Thank you Cloud 9 for taking care of my sore neck and back. The Cloud 9 massage therapists offer many great services and are very knowledgeable in their trade. Their hours are awesome offering services from 9-9:30pm 7 days a week. The employees put extra effort into accommodating walk-ins which is much appreciated. The environment is sooooo relaxing and very clean. I don’t quite understand the price complaints from others on this review thread. We all have to pay taxes on the service price and if you request a relaxation massage, but then ask for deep tissue when you are on the table you need to pay for the service. Being a massage therapist is physically demanding work.

Called this afternoon and asked how much a 1 hour pregnancy massage would be, was told by the woman $59 and that they could take me right away. I walked in and the woman took me back to the room. During the massage, the therapist said I had 5 minutes left and asked if I wanted to have my feet massaged. I said sure. At that point it was taking a little longer than 5 minutes and I really had to use the bathroom. I was about to ask her to stop when she said she was finished. When I went to pay the woman at the front desk, she said that I owed $90 because I was pregnant and additional $40 because my feet were massaged! This is a total scam! I was told my 1-hour pregnancy massage would be $59! Beware!! Do not let them touch your feet, they will charge you an extra $40. I did not want more than an hour massage. My first question was how much a pregnancy massage was. From the time I walked in to the time I went to pay they increased the cost from $59 to $130! I ended up just paying the $105 and was so upset by the time I walked out. The worst feeling is wanting to relax during your pregnancy and instead just getting ripped off. Save yourself the trouble and take your business elsewhere! I never write bad reviews but this is just wrong! You can not tell people your service costs $59 and charge them $130 afterwards! Ridiculous.

I was in Rochester for businees. The spa nearest to the hotel was booked so I went to Cloud 9. I was a little nervous after the bad review, but it was the BEST massage ever. I had Susan and she did a great job. I was disappointed when my time was up. I could have layed there another hour. By the way, an hour is a full hour of massage time. I wish I could fine a place this hood with their prices in Oregon. I highly recommend them.

ADDED FEES THAT WE DIDNT AGREE TO OR KNOW ABOUTMy grandma and I walked in thinking we would pay $150ish and walked out paying $200 because we were not informed of the increase in price.I went in for a 60 minute deep tissue massage and my grandma went in for a 60 minute relaxation massage. The website said everything was 30% off which is partially why my grandma and I decided to go. With the 30% off it was supposed to be $69 for the relaxation and mine was supposed to be $79 for the deep tissue. My grandma received the deep tissue and kept saying that it hurt and to not push so hard. Upon checking out at the desk we were told that because hot stones were used on us we would each have to pay $89 dollars each ($178). The person working told me she had a special technique, but did not tell me it would cost more.

I am very disappointed in my experience with this salon. I called three days ahead to schedule an appointment for 11am on a Thursday. I showed up to the salon at 11am. The doors were locked even though the sign said they were open. I called the salon twice and nobody answered, so I left a voicemail. My phone call was returned an hour later asking if I want a massage. I expressed my frustration because I had showed up at my scheduled time and paid for a meter and had already returned home by the time they called me back. I was told that I would get 30% off my massage if I wanted to come back. I had asked for a 60 minute relaxation massage. On the top of the salons website, it says that 60 minute relaxation massages are $55. Once I arrived, I was asked if I wanted to get a 60 minute deep tissue massage for only $8 more. I said ok to the deep tissue massage, thinking that it would come to a total of $63 plus 30% off that ($45). Once my massage was all finished, I went to the front desk to pay. The total came to $74... The salon has several different prices listed on their website for the same massage which is very confusing. In addition to all of this, my neck has been hurting ever since I got the massage. I am very disappointed and frustrated with my experience and will not be returning.

Called ahead to schedule a prenatal massage. Could barely understand the lady on the phone, but hoped for the best since I had been gifted the massage. I asked which location I was scheduled at and shesaid I could pick. I requested someone who had experience doing prenatal massages. I never filled out any forms and was not asked about medications, allergies, sore spots, etc. Which is pretty standard for a professional massage. My massage therapist did not speak English and the majority of the massage was basically her putting aveeno lotion on me. The blanket they had was tiny, and didnt cover me since I had to lay on my side. Eventually she put a little towel to cover my butt, though it kept falling off. The walls do not go to the ceiling, so I could hear people talking.

This was fun as a novelty. The staff was extremely friendly, but both my husbands and my massage where a bit on the soft side. However, i can not understate the enthusiams and kindness of the staff. They where fantastic at trying to make us feel welcome and at ease.

Bait and switch! Buyer beware. They advertised 30% off for relaxation and deep tissue massage, both were $68 for 60 min. There was a huge language barrier but I did tell them over the phone upon making the appointment and when I arrived that I wanted to do the relaxation massage. The masseuse did not speak much English. She said, right after starting, you need deeper which I assumed to mean firmer pressure. I said ok. The massage itself was a normal to firm pressure massage; nothing special like Swedish or myofascial/trigger point release. I regularly get massages so I am pretty well-versed on the differences in technique.When it was over, and I came up to pay, I was told I owed $101 because I had requested a special massage. Also, the sign that was on the counter was now gone and replaced with a different list of options and prices. I explained that I ordered a relaxation massage and the price I was quoted, but the cashier was insistent that because I had requested special techniques I owed the higher price. I argued it a bit but it was clear I wasnt getting anywhere due to her insistence and the language barrier. Im a pretty non-confrontational person by nature, so I gave in and even tipped the girl 20% (I know). But, I will never be back and hopefully I can save some of you the same rotten experience, which is worth something. The massage itself was ok but not worth $121 (with tip).Other weirdness: they had a paper towel lining the face insert, which made it hard to breathe. They also did not ask me any questions about my medical history, medications or anything at all other than my name. Im a physician, so I know there are contraindications to certain modalities/techniques if a client has a DVT, cellulitis, cancer, neuropathy, on anticoagulants, etc. Avoid if you have any active medical conditions because they are not taking that into account.

I was a bit apprehensive at first as not really enjoying confined spaces, but as time went on I settled down into a nice relaxing posture. It seemed a bit hard to breathe with the humidity, but later on it was ok. Very relaxing just floating like in deep space. I turned the music off and seemed to drift off into a light meditative trance like state. Had one vision as it was my nieces daughter pointing a remote control at me and giggling so it made me giggle also. Felt wide awake afterwards with like more clarity in mind. Slight nausea the day after but other than that fine.Cant wait to try it again when I get home to England. As I was told it will get better the more times you have under your belt. I have had the experience of floating in the Dead Sea in the middle east, but being enclosed in the pod is really quite different. With no outside stimulation the only way was venturing inward, like one does when meditating.All in all I would do it again in a flash. A truly, truly meditative experience.I might add also the surroundings in the floatation pod room were beautifully laid out with clean towels, ear plugs that molded to your ear, Vaseline for any minor cuts to the skin as the salt water would sting, lovely shower with great smelling shampoo/conditioner and shower gel.And if you wanted you can keep the ear plugs and the provided shower ball scrubber! The complimentary bottled water was nice and in the toilet a free comb and mousse for the hair.OUT OF 10...CLOUD 9 GETS A 10 !!!

After a frustrating and disappointing week at Mayo with my husband, this was a breath of fresh air: I was treated with kindness and respect. A different technique than I have experienced elsewhere, but very effective. Kuddos to Lisa, she did a great job!

Had my first massage there. It was very nice. She was a tiny little thing but strong as an ox. A few times she was a little too hard, but all in all it was very therapeutic.
