I enjoy going on Tuesday swing dancing nights. Entrance includes lessons by extremely talented teachers. The dj music selections are varied and eminently danceable. Ive been once on a Wednesday evening which is their salsa night. Lots of excitement there too. It is kind of rundown ramshackle place, but if youre looking for good music and dancing well worth checking out!

One of my favorite place to go salsa dancing whenever Im in the Sacramento area. Wednesdays are good with a mixed crowd. Lots of beginners but also a decent amount of advance dancers. Good vibes (FRIENDLY) . Also Friday is the more popular nights. A very fun crowd with lots of good salsa music.

Love this place! An excellent location for dancing, and they host a variety of theme nights from Salsa, and Swing, to Goth. Two very large rooms, both with large bars. The bartenders are crazy fast, you never have to wait long to be served, and always with a smile. Also the security staff is top notch, best in Sacramento.

I love this place so much!!! I go to the goth nights and other events held here and it has always been so welcoming, friendly and accepting. The music is great, lots of room to dance, great bar menus and prices, multiple rooms with different music, clean restrooms, super friendly staff and clubbers and just a blast to spend the night. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!!

Live this place. The venue brings a lot of good djs if you are into techno, edm, drum n bass music. Goth scene is pretty good too. They so offer nights for swing dancing and salsa dancing. Both nights offer lessons the first hour an open floor the rest if the night. Recently they had a Neo Soul, RnB, old school hip hop night. It was great. There was live performances, poetry, and vendors with various artworks and jewlery.

Just traveling through and hit this place up on a whim. Great drinks and awesome retro arcade machines and pinball games, all working on quarters so no need for special tokens. Some lite food options too. Make sure to check if theyre taking card, it was cash only the few times i went!

WHERE is the zero star option?! This place is a disgrace to the Afro Latino community and the African diaspora as this is where this music derived from. A lot of the major salsa artists (greats/legends) talk a lot about racism, Afro Latin pride and grace in their most famous songs.A very racist club. They play Black Latino music yet the DJs look at you with the utmost disrespect when you request a song from the artists that look like you... Which is the MAJORITY of the artists that they play. Mind you, they supposedly encourage requests.Case in point:The DJs are extremely disrespectful. I went to request a song on the salsa side and WAS IGNORED. I had to consistently get their attention so I could make my presence known and when they finally chose to turn around it was the most rude look on their faces and demeanor. I requested a VERY popular song that is HUGE in the Latino community...THAT song that I requested is A SUPER MAJOR HIT FROM A HUGELY FAMOUS COMPOSER, WRITER, PRODUCER AND ARTIST that has produced many songs for other major artists. He didnt know the artist (AGAIN, since you are NOT familiar with the culture, this is what happens) instead, I was given the third degree asking what type of song i was requesting (remember Im on the salsa side) and can people dance to it 😂😂😂😂 he asked me to pull this major ARTIST up on his phone and he said that he will play it IF PEOPLE CAN DANCE TO IT AND HE HAS TO LISTEN TO IT FIRST. never in all of my years in the Caribbean/Latin community have I ever heard that. Never one REAL DJ. This poor excuse of a so called dj played a portion of it and while people was still dancing to the song, HE CUT THE SONG OFF. I have never seen a real DJ do this. When a song is requested, you play the full song or the majority of it. And the part that he cut off was at the height of the song. When he cut it off, he didnt have the skill to mix the song in with another salsa song, nope. Mind you, these DJs are so inexperienced, they consistently play all the songs that they choose to the end.The climate of the people that come to the place is HORRIFIC, the people CANNOT DANCE, NO rhythm, no soul... Sad to say that it is comical. You are suffering the whole night witnessing ballroom dancing and they want to slap the word salsa or bachata on it. I have spoken to the new people that are from Sacramento and they felt bad because they would try to dance with these people that so-called know how to dance, and because beginners have rhythm they couldnt keep up and couldnt flow with these people that are so called trying to teach them how to dance salsa bachata merengue etc. Their (the newbies) bodies was telling them which way to go with the music and they were told by these teachers to go the opposite direction. I told them it is not your fault because they are not teaching you correctly. It was like I gave them hope and it took a lot of weight off of their shoulders because they really thought they were in the wrong... there is rhythm... its coming from a very rhythmic people that created the dance and the music. you cannot have the beauty of this music without the rhythm and the soul. The Caribbean/Afro Latino community/culture (from where this music is from) is not represented in Sacramento so you witness people who are not from the community destroy the image and give people who are new to the genre of music A HUGE MISCONCEPTION OF THE CULTURE. A word from the wise, if you want to learn how to dance and learn about the community, where the music is coming from, you will NOT learn it there. Your best option and ONLY option is go on YouTube. I have been blessed to learn from the community when I was on the east coast... That is where everyone is. The Dominican Republic, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Panama, etc. Since the community is not in Sacramento, the DJs are NOT trained, do not know how to mix, do not know many artists, they do not respect the community that they stole the music from and sadly get profit from. I will NEVER waste another dime of my hard earned money in this place.
