Do not book with this hotel! I reserved a room in September 2023 for a concert on May 3rd. When we arrived to check in, the hotel was closed for refurbishments with no communication from the property. This lack of communication required me to pay almost $100 more for a new place to stay in St. Louis that weekend. This weekend was exceptionally busy with two concerts and a home Cardinals series, so hotels were few and far between. Aside from paying way more than we wanted, we were also forced to stay further away, skip dinner plans to find a new property, and park my car one mile from our new hotel. This was an absolute joke. I would never consider staying at an OYO again and will advise others to do the same.

Horrible Horrible experience. Booked this hotel for a concert back in September 2023 and paid up front. Even received a confirmation email for my stay two days prior to my trip day! Upon arrival we were informed by security that the hotel has been closed since February 2024 for renovations. We never received anything stating that our stay was cancelled. He said multiple people have showed up for their stay and been stranded without a hotel last minute. Getting in contact with anyone from OYO is an absolute joke as well. We will continue to try to get a refund but we will see if that actually happens. Will never stay at an OYO hotel again and would not recommend them to anyone.

This hotel has an excellent location to the theater for a concert across the street that and the shower water was hot was all the positive I can muster. Now for the nitty gritty, they supplied the room with one set of towels, there was 2 of us, usually a hotel givesyou that without asking. The hallways are long and scary. We felt like we were in the Shining. The parking garage was narrow and poorly constructed. Very easy to scrap your car on the pillers. Its more downhill from there. I literally checked the mattress for bedbugs because I was so shocked at the appearance (there were none that I saw) but the box spring was badly stained. There were no USB port on any of the lamps or the clock which is different from what Im used to. Carpet had a few stains not bad just unappealing and a must to wear slippers or socks. The furniture was outdated and mismatched. It was very worn. We were very shocked and appalled because the price should be one star motel rates. We didnt like the room at all and would never recommend anyone to book there.

Lisa was absolutely amazing and overly accomodating! Early check in and also held our bags for a late flight so we could explore more. Rooms are old, stained carpet and sheets, however, I didnt spend a lot of time in my room so when you buy a cheaper hotel, you shouldnt expect too much. Would stay again and the security was great. Metro across the street, perfect.

This hotel is literally operated by 2 people: a receptionist and a security guy. We stayed there for 2 nights, and we have not seen any housekeepers. The room was filthy, plastic spoons on the floor next to the bed, the bed sheets had some human DNA, and the carpets were stained badly. This hotel should shut down immediately. On top of that, they charge $50 or something for parking. The only positive thing about this hotel is that they allow dogs. The 2 people working at the hotel were nice too.***The OYO customer service called me to offer me 40% off my next OYO stay, and asked me to remove or modify my review. Go figure! ***

I seriously don’t understand how anyone could leave more than 2 stars on this place. We were just passing through St. Louis on a road trip, the Hyatt was booked up so we used this as our backup because the photos looked pretty good and the pricing was similar. However upon arriving I realized it’s in one of the worst parts of town. They have private parking which costs a whopping $25 per night. There’s no free breakfast, the bar β€œcloses when it feels like it” I went an hour before they closed and couldn’t even get a salad. There’s no breakfast close at all except a tiny cafe downstairs which barely has any food. The rooms don’t even have windows! Most of the hotel is outdated and very ran down looking. Most of the furniture in the rooms looks like it’s from old horror movies. Absolutely hideous elevators. They should be charging no more than $60 per night for this place, I paid $135 which is a crime! I’m only leaving 2 stars because the hotel staff were friendly and helpful and my car didn’t get stolen/broken into. Complete dump with filthy rooms. The building itself has incredible architecture and has massive potential if only a competent and wealthy chain bought them out.

I feel like this hotel has been treated a bit unfairly by all the low reviews. Here’s my takeawaysService - staff was super nice, especially the bald, bearded gentleman at the front desk. He made sure I took care of my parking situation before I went up to my room so I wouldn’t have to worry about being towed. Staff was nice, helpful, and happy to answer questions. No complaints here.Rooms - they were definitely a bit dated. AC didn’t seem to blow as cold as I wanted in my room, and there were marks on the walls. Nothing in the room made me absolutely hate the hotel, but the rooms could definitely use a touch up.Location - right next to enterprise center with easy access to the highway. Additionally, I never felt unsafe around the hotel. No complaints.

I had a terrible experience with OYO Hotel and never even got to check-in. I booked this hotel back in October for the Olivia Rodrigo concert. I got to the hotel on March 12th at 9am to try and get an early check-in. My family and I walked inside and a security officer told us that the hotel has been under renovation since February and that we were unable to check into our room. He gave us the contact information and told us how to get into contact with corporate to get a refund. This was a frustrating experience because my family and I had just gotten off the train and we had no hotel room to check into. We had to walk over 10 minutes to get a room at Hilton Union Station. OYO Hotel never reached out over email to cancel our room due to renovations. Instead, they wasted our time and we ended up booking a hotel at Hilton instead. There was absolutely no communication on their end, and I will never be booking with OYO again. I am still in the process of getting a refund, and I am incredibly upset with this terrible service.

I made a reservation in December for a stay in April, but apparently the hotel closed for renovations and no one bothered to tell me. I received no email or text saying my reservation couldnt be fulfilled, and I was left to scramble to find a different hotel at 8:00 or so in the evening, nine hours from home. What sort of business does that to its customers?Edit: to respond to the owners response, sure, if youd like to address my concerns, if you have a time machine handy, could you hop in there, go back to Sunday, April 7th, and meet me at the front door to help me find a room somewhere in the city so I dont have to frantically try to find one in the car on my phone? Or, better yet, hop in a time machine to go back to literally any time before that and actually let me know that youre going to be closed when I arrive? Otherwise, I dont know know what Im supposed to accomplish by emailing you right now, when Im back at home and fuming at the audacity of you saying you would like to assist me further with finding a suitable accommodation multiple days after the fact. I can see why youd think Im still in St. Louis, because obviously the first thing I would have done is go leave a review on Google rather than try to find a different hotel that honors reservations.Edit 2: Apparently after my first edit, they updated their response to remove their generic and thoughtless language about contacting them to address this problem. I would think it would be obvious that, by the time I posted my original review, I was at home and pissed a them, but I guess if youre a business thats more concerned with saving face than actually helping your customers, youd offer to help customers when theyre well beyond the point of needing help.Look, if youre actually invested enough in finding a room in St. Louis that youre still reading this review, I probably dont need to explain to you that these chuckleheads seemingly dont actually care. I posted my review, they responded, I responded to their response, and rather than leave it at that, they edited their response to remove their idiotic boilerplate language that didnt actually accomplish anything other than to make it seem like they were willing to help solve the problem they created, even though it was long past the point at which I needed help. I get that you cant always be perfect and unexpected situations arise, but be honest about it. Id be more accepting of holy crap, Im sorry, our software malfunctioned and we couldnt catch everyone who made reservations within a specific timeframe rather than their original we can help you if you contact us, even though its obviously already multiple days too late response they provided. If youre the owner and youre reading this, please dont bother editing your inane response any further. Im willing to keep this going as long as you are. Either actually do something to make it right, or take the L. Your empty response isnt accomplishing anything.

I’m not one to write a review but worst experience ever, and we didn’t even get to go inside the hotel. We booked this hotel to save a little money and because it was walking distance to enterprise center. We got there and there was a person who literally told us the hotel was closed for renovations since Feb. 14th. Our stay was March 12th, Never once did we get an email or notification stating it would be close during the time of the stay. The guy told us to call a number for a refund which was ONLY a machine, didn’t even give us an option to speak to a human. I had to call the number to book a room (why are they still letting people book if it’s closed?!) I kept getting transferred but it took a total of 40min+ to finally get the manager on the phone. Never again will I book with oyo, I’d rather pay a little extra from now on!

A motel experience at hotel prices. Total dump. Hope they pour some real money into fixing the place up but as of this review the experience is indistinguishable from a best Western or motel 8, just 4x the price. The staff were kind but scarce. When we had an issue with our room they couldnt fix it due to a lack of staffing and had to move us to a new room. Im glad they were able to but at the prices this place costs I was hoping for a bougier experience

This hotel is out of the liminal space Tick-toks. Place is severely out of date or in poor repair in certain areas. Service at the front desk is great and there is some security for the area its in. Room was, not good. Carpets need to be tore out, stains everywhere. The king-size mattress had the biggest impression in it, like I fell in a crater. There are small stains on the walls that could be ketchup but didnt want to find out. Best part was the hair that was left on the tub wall, not even cleaned off. The place is super quite but is a motel. Had a fight break out in a room around 3 AM and couldnt sleep after. Perks, nice big pool and good views of the city. Place needs some investment though...

For the price, the hotel needs a lot of clean up. Wallpaper was peeling in every room, furniture is old and not in good shape. Needs a coffee pot in the room. Carpets throughout are stained. No bedding for the sofa sleeper. The restaurant was not open during our stay. We had to ask for extra toilet tissue at the front desk. However, the location is great. Easy access to highways, entertainment, sports, and restaurants.

I am not usually a negative reviewer but I felt like the photos of the hotel we stayed at totally duped us. I booked an express deal for last Friday and previous I have had awesome luck so I never hesitate! We ended up being booked at the Oyo in downtown St. Louis. Great location, I looked through the photos and they looked decent. When we got to the hotel, the people at the front desk were…opposite of friendly. As we were walking to our room, I noticed the hallways were kind of dirty. Then we got to our room and I was absolutely mortified. I’ve attached photos. You’re better off to stay at a cheap motel than here. There was a burn hole and nasty stain on the mattress with NO mattress cover. The desk chair was so stained and nasty, it had a big tear in the back. There was dust and dirt everywhere, the walls and doors were scuffed and stained. They closed the pool an hour earlier than was posted. To my surprise, the pool was (visibly) clean.

The location was amazing! Within a mile of Union Station, the Arch and the Stifel Theater. I booked on Priceline but at the time I got there they told me that the Priceline ad was incorrect and they actually charge $25 a night for parking. The availability of coffee was very random and definitely not complimentary. They let you know at check-in that they do not clean your room if you are there for multiple nights. Was a little dated but overall for the price and the location I think it was worth it. Amazing pool on the 13th floor that I did not get to use because its frigid temperatures and who packs a swimsuit for frigid weather like this?

The location is incredible, especially if you plan to visit St. Louis without a car. I used the light rail and bus to get absolutely everywhere, since theres a light rail station and a major bus depot literally across the street. The bed was comfortable, the linens were clean, and I had a very nice view looking south towards the Anheuser-Busch Brewery (which I visited). The staff was extremely friendly, and even got me an early check in several hours early. Now I do understand some of the complaints most people have. This hotel is in serious need of an update. New wallpaper, new light fixtures, new carpets, in particular. The bathroom was totally fine, as was the bed itself, but the decor just needs an overhaul. I was by myself and there for one night only, so I really didnt care, but I would strongly encourage OYO to invest in updating the place. With such a great location, this could be a truly exceptional hotel with just a bit of work.

The location and staff are great! The pool, fitness center and parking garage are superb. Our room was very spacious, but absolutely disgusting, as was the hallway. Incredibly dated furniture and carpets that had several stains, including one that looked like blood.I dont know if the entire hotel is this horrid, but our room and floor were really bad. Smelled like a seedy motel, and my allergies were triggered. If you want to experience time travel and stay at a place from the 80s, this is your place. Bar closes early, even though there was an NHL hockey game across the street, and the restaurant is closed permanently.Edit: Note to owner. Your reply is patronizing and cookie cutter. We have a yearly conference in St. Louis with 25K people in the The Dome at Americas Center. Get your business together and up your game. I could recommend this place to hundreds of conference attendees, but I wont. Not with your terrible hotel and pathetic response to my review.

In our room we had wall paper peeling everywhere, drop ceiling had several holes and stains on it, the pull out couch looked like it was from the 90s. The bathroom was nice and clean with decent water pressure. The bed was pretty comfortable.I was also told at check in that they dont take discover, I thought this was strange since this is how I reserved and paid for the room from their website.Parking was $25 a night and was deducted from the hold they put on the card at the end of the stay.

This place has some good things about it, but the service is seriously lacking. We were out of toilet paper and towels and we were told to come and pick it up from the lobby. We stayed for 4 nights and not once did housekeeping come and take out our trash, replace towels, or anything. The people at the front desk were very nice, the room was large, and the gym was larger than most hotel gyms, but no towels in the gym or at the pool, no way to wipe down gym equipment after using. We were told we could park in the garage for free while we took the train to kc and stayed there again when we returned. They tried to charge us an outrageous parking fee. The rates may be decent but parking charges per day raise the prices significantly. The beds were terribly uncomfortable and the phone didn’t work. We had to go get our own extra linen and clean bedding. Lobby is beautiful and pool area very nice but a little too excluded for comfort or children running up and down the elevator. Trash sat outside doors rooms were very dark. We r supposed to stay there again in December but are now unsure unless we r assured these things have been remedied

Great location, but awful accommodations. The entire hotel looks like these photos. Booked this place because we had tickets to the Jo Koy show at the Stifel and weather was looking dicey. After the show, had to bang on the glass for the front desk to let us back in out of the 5 degree weather because β€œthe security guard was making his rounds”. The show had just ended! Ice machine was out of order on our floor. Any somewhat positive review is related to the price. However, considering that they take another $25 from your security deposit for parking, you’re not saving a dime. Team OYO” hired a talented individual to give all the right responses to these reviews. However, nothing seems to improve. Maybe it’s their business model.

The experience was awful from the start. Arrived to check in and the gentleman at the front counter was extremely rude. The overall appearance of the lobby was run down and poorly kept but I tried to keep an open mind and just ignore it. Once we got up to our room we spent less than 10 minutes there before we went back down to the desk to let them know we’d be leaving. The room was a disgusting. It smelled awful, stains on the carpet, furniture, and pillow cases. The door looked like someone had once tried to break into it and the safety latch didn’t work. The bathroom had old hair on the floor and in both sinks and you could tell it hadn’t been cleaned. I felt gross just walking around in the room. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Pros: Very close walking proximity to Enterprise Center, comfortable beds, good security measures at the hotel like needing a keycard to access certain floors.Cons: Room was not ready at check in time (I travel a lot and have never experienced this), we booked a room with 2 queen beds but one bed was obviously smaller than the other (full size), peeling wallpaper and no windows to the outside, very dim lighting in the room and even though it was dark you could still see all the stains on the floor, we kept smelling weed and ended up finding a smoked blunt on the floor near the bed so that tells you the room wasn’t cleaned thoroughly or it was too dim for housekeeping to notice, mini fridge severely needed to be defrosted because there was a huge chunk of ice covering the back panel and vent so it was hardly keeping cold which was important to me as a breastfeeding mother who needed to store milk, we could clearly hear the people in the room next to us just talking at conversational level.

Don’t do it your self even if Hotwire picks it for you, trust me.Edit: The only positive about this was the location. The room had such a strong odor of smoke that hit you like a brick wall when you opened the door. There was stains on the carpet, some being very questionable. The fridge didn’t work very well. The bathroom had a sewage smell. This is probably your business model, but the 25 dollars for parking which is sometimes a third of the cost of the room itself is kind of crazy. You guys don’t do complimentary breakfast that is fine but a pot of coffee just seems like it’s not asking too much. The staff was nice, kind of peculiar but nice. Except why say the pool closes at 10 when that really means maintenance on the pool starts at 8:45 and everyone needs to be out. Those are the details of why I will not be staying here again. I wasn’t expecting much, but somehow was still let down. Take care

One of the toilets wouldnt flush, all the rooms were dirty, wallpaper was peeling all over and to top it all off they double charged us for parking and wouldnt refund. Walking in, beautiful...the kind of beautiful a possible one nightstand maybe at 2am and youre vision is fuzzy. When you squint, absolutely stunning! The high ceilings. The old time marble. The wide open check in area, gorgeous. The staff...super kind and tried to be accommodating. The outside terrace on the 13th floor would have been amazing had the weather been nicer or there were umbrellas to be under when it rained. It was fun playing peekaboo with The Arch. The views were lovely. The room was a suite and we loved the layout. But the wall paper was peeling. Every ceiling had water damage. Furniture was busted, scratched, and chipped. Lamps were broken with cracked shades and those didnt attach either. Moreso they were precariously resting on the harps that hold them. The in-room phone didnt work. He wanted to argue with me that the room was clean and when I told him the state of the room he just starred at me. I asked to either have the room clean or move to a new one. His response was to say he wouldn’t move me to a new room because none had been cleaned. He said he would call the cleaning manager but did nothing and continued to stare at me. I asked when he was going to do that and he said he’d call my room. Told him the phones were broke and he dismissed me. He never even asked my name or room number. My dad and I went downstairs and spoke to the front desk. They gave us a room that was β€œnicer” and supposedly an upgrade. We got there and it looked like there was dried up vomit on the carpet. I actually can’t believe this place charges this much for a building that’s falling apart. When we went downstairs to inform them about the second room, the person at the front desk was incredibly rude. Luckily was able to get a refund and then drove 10 min away to a quality inn. This all happened at 11pm and we were exhausted. Again- DO NOT STAY HERE

Great location, friendly staff, helpful concierge, great facilities. Rooms are big and well equipped. I would suggest better cleaning in general. The outside of the entrance is dirty, the lobby carpet is dirty and smells bad. The room smelled dirty and no one cleaned during my whole stay, the gym lacks cleaning, the room toilet had a mal function. If those things are taken care of, it could attract more business.

Among the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Rooms are filled with stains and had rancid smells, ranging from cigarettes (in non-smoking rooms) to sewers. We asked for different rooms and were met were others of the exact same quality. They also force you to pay for a parking spot before checking in, and then give you parking passes which are taken out from your deposit without notice. Nowhere in the reservation does it mention this, and they refused to give me a refund. Since they will charge extra anyway, you might as well get a more expensive hotel.

I liked this OYO location because of its historical aspects. It is a vintage feel, & I felt right at home in it. The staff were great and gave me a few good laughs. The rooms were extremely clean. The best part of this hotel was the security measures. You had to have a room key just to get in the main doors and go up the elevators. They also has security at the lobby. I felt very comfortable staying there. I was there for a business convention. It is a hidden gem, especially for privacy. It is huge, and the re is a rooftop pool! If I could want anything, it would be breakfast included. They have a Cafe and a lounge, but none of it is included. I cannot wait to stay there again!

Overall, there were only two positives about our stay. The mattress was good and the location was great for what we were doing in the area. We had multiple disappointments...our room was not ready at check in and they didnt do anything to rectify the situation; the jetted tub was small and there were no bubbles to use with it; the vending machine on our floor was empty and the lobby one only partially worked and there was no signage about the issues nor did the front desk person say anything as he watched us try to use it until we complained; one desk person had stated there would be coffee in the lobby in the morning, but there was no coffee and the small cafe was open, but the prices for the sizes were ridiculous; and the bedsheets had 2 black stains on them. These were the major issues with our stay. It was very disappointing for the price!

As soon as youre in front of the hotel, on the same side of the street, youve already passed the hotel entrance and garage. You can only enter through one door. Proper signage is better than looking confused at security sitting inside to signal which door. The revolving is clear. Do not use. Cone and all, put a cone in front of the locked door. At least everyone wont have to feel awkward. The gentleman who checked us in was intuitive to the fact that I was a bit uncomfortable, as I needed the facility. Husband finish checking in. Pleasant closing salutation. The ambiance was a bit off-putting. I was looking forward to the historical feel, but the upkeep left a lot to be desired. After getting off the road, the only amenities on our floor were an ice machine and a drink vending machine out of product. There is no information sheet for anything helpful to enjoy the stay. Thank goodness it was just an overnight stay.I liked the layout of the king suite for the most part. It was outdated and clean as it could be without replacing the furniture, carpet, and wall covering. Loved the directions on flushing the toilet to ensure it would continue working, although how I normally flush works perfectly fine.Checkout was perfect. Very polite and outgoing.

The hotel is right across the Amtrak station, and Metro so convenient to air travelers. Walking to the downtown area is like 20-23 mins. But night time walk felt a bit scary. The hotel looks (and is) old. The carpet has many stains and looked scary. The rooms facing the courtyard are a regular rooms and with the window are suit according to them. So my room facing the courtyard was dark. But its super spacious, came with a mini kitchen, microwave, and refrigerator. The room looked and smelled clean (cleanliness is important to me and smell can also tell how dirty/old a room is). The swimming pool area was dark but the water was perfect temperature! The fitness room was larger than typical fitness rooms in other hotels like Hampton, Hilton, Mariott, etc. So that was plus but it was not as clean and machines were old. This hotel was very disappointing. The main reason is that they advertise falsely. They do not have a working pool. My son was so looking for a hotel with a pool during this hot summer. They send me at least 2-3 emails after the reservation if not more but never mentioned that their pool is not working. They did not even discount the rate. I would have stayed at a cheaper, better-rated hotel that was available but I chose them because they said they had a pool and it was not like it stopped working the same day. This has been closed for quite a few days the manager said. It was not fixed during our stay and is indefinitely closed. At least they should inform all booking agents that this is the case to stop misleading and breaking the hearts of little kids. The hotel is an old building. The only positive is that the rooms are large and the bed was clean. The carpet had stains and was old, worn-out looking. Generally, it was sort of decrepit. You are better off finding somewhere else to stay unless their rates are so great. Even then beware of any promised amenities. These guys mislead and do not attempt to notify guests of things that do not work in order to dupe them to book and thus make money.

A great place to stay and we will definitely stay here again!!

Room was clean but poorly lit and a little dingy. Hotel overall lacked many in-house amenities available all day. Lounge and cafe had very limited hours and limited food/beverage options. No restaurant on premise. Had to move rooms because of a serious water leak in the ceiling of my bathroom, but staff was accommodating and attentive to the situation once made aware. Don’t feel I got value for what I spent for a 3-night stay. Bed was comfy and Wi-Fi was good. And convenient location to attend downtown events or catch a MetroLink train

My husband and I have been staying here until our apartment is ready. The staff is EXCEPTIONAL! The rooms are spacious with a very comfy bed. The food is outstanding! The pool is unexpectedly large. (Unfortunately, the hot tub is non-working but who really wants to sit in a tub with who knows what?). The sun deck is nice but they should return the outdoor couches and turn the music back on. It’s a great place to hang outside of your room. Yes, the hotel is old but I do know that renovations are in the future playbook. I recommend this hotel. It’s not 5stars but it’s up there!

Worst hotel Ive ever stayed at. The people working in the hotel were nice, but thats where the compliments stop. The layout of the hotel and the parking is confusing. For what I paid, the entire hotel should have been nicer. The fountain in the lobby was dry, the elevator was buggy, and the pool was closed. I was never told that only a certain number of cars could park. I had 2 people staying and 1 visited with her car in the morning. When we went to leave, my parking pass wouldnt work. I called the desk and they let 2 of 3 leave but said we had to speak to a manager for the third car to leave. We waited but he didnt show up. Someone in the line of 4 cars that were waiting behind us to leave let us use their pass to get out and the hotel withheld 1/4 of my deposit. I will never stay here again.

I try to check my husband and I in and can’t, has to be him since he booked with his email.. annoying but fine. Then we go to the blues game which is right across the street and why we wanted this hotel. Well we get back out key doesn’t work , we try our other key after several tries it finally lets us in. We go downstairs to pick up food we had ordered. Let’s don’t work at all the next time. I go back down stairs while my food starts to get cold and I get grilled by this arrogant front desk guy. Basically interrogates me with security questions about the room because I didn’t have my ID . Well it’s in the room I’m locked out of. He was very stand offish, and rude, wouldn’t even make eye contact or apologize about the inconvenience. Not great for the hotel industry. He reluctantly makes me keys after about 10 minutes. Then I have to wait on a security guard to walk me up to MY room that I PAID FOR, to verify ID. Takes even longer waiting on him. Mind you it’s 11pm. My husband is just waiting in the hallway. When we finally get up there the security guard didn’t even check the ID… ? We def WILL NOT be staying there again. You’d have better luck at a motel 6 than this hotel.

Was somewhat dissatisfied with our stay for the amount of money I paid. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room wasnt dirty but the carpet was stained horribly in the halls and our room. The lamps shades were old and broken. The couch was well broke in and uncomfortable. The parking garage which is $25 a night (which was taken out of my $100 deposit) was a joke. It was filthy and very compact with most of it being valet parking which nobody uses. Also if you want coffee on the weekend you are out of luck. They only serve coffee Monday-Friday and no coffee pot in the room. The vending machine was actually only a drink machine and it only took a debit/credit card. The ice machine was broken on four different levels so I gave up looking for a working one. I was very unimpressed with this hotel for the amount of money charged. It is an old building which can be charming, except the furnishings in the room are very dated and smell as if they have been there for many years. The view was nice but that was about the only thing. I purchased a suite and expected to have a much nicer room than I was given. There were cockroaches in the bathroom and I was on the 6th floor meaning there had to be plenty more. The room did not have a coffee maker, the towels were rough enough to actually hurt my skin when used, and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. There were no amenities offered, and no breakfast which I would have expected. Also the parking was an additional $25 PER NIGHT! I would not recommend this hotel, and even after very politely voicing my concerns with the hotel staff, nothing was done to compensate. If you want to stay in St. Louis. DO NOT STAY HERE!

After a mostly sleepless night as were packed up to prepare for departure there was a very large stain down the side of the mattress. I dropped my phone charger behind the night stand and found a pile of toe nail clippings. Large stains also on the curtains and walls, heavy dust on the air return above the bathroom vanity. I shared our negative experience with the hotel clerk as we checked and she offered me a coupon for another nights stay.... I declined and asked her to use this information to attempt to make a stay better for a future guest. She instead refunded the $25 Parking fee. We got home and found a bed bug. The best thing about the hotel is the location to the baseball stadium and the hockey arena. The actual location though is a bit industrial with no restaurants nearby and it gives it sort of a bleak feeling as there are train yards and busy streets bordering the hotel. I’m not sure about the history of the hotel but the outside is very iconic with beautiful murals on it. While our room was fairly large it did have an outdated look to it and the hallways had a bit of a smell to them. There is a very cool indoor Olympic size pool at the top of the building which at night really has a cool vantage point to see the stadium in the Ferris wheel. We did not know the city and got this because it was the lowest rate, at $132, that we could get close to Busch Stadium. As far as the staff they were friendly though but one thing annoyed me. When I checked in I asked about the pool and the hours and the lady ever told us that the towels or at the desk. So when we got to the pool we saw that we had to go back down to the desk to get the towels. Why she didn’t offer to give us details if we were going to the pool, I don’t know. They charge $25 for overnight parking but be aware there’s an outdoor parking lot right behind it where you can pay $8.75 for the whole day. Overall I thought it was too expensive for what you got and will try parking a little further away next time and using Uber to get us to the stadium.

Things were busted and laying around, dirty, stained, dusty, musty, etc. When I first entered my room I was very surprised with how spacious it was until I starting noticing all the little things. The carpet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since it was installed. The furniture was definitely either from the grand opening (as were all of the pictures of rooms) way back when or from a garage sale. There were literal whole handprints and a multitude of smudges across the big wall to wall window. The sheets were either ill fitting or just not put on properly. All of these things would have just been annoying and gross but tolerable. Then as I was getting ready to take a shower (had towels clothes suitcase and just everything on the bed getting settled in) I walked by the wall and noticed a bug. A BEDBUG. I was reasonably upset considering I had a toddler with me and all of my stuff was possibly exposed so I called the front desk and explained what had happened. They said they would send someone up but never did. So I went down and brought the bug with me. They did refund my stay but honestly in the long run I’ll probably have to spend twice that amount to ensure my own home does not get infested when I return.

There was a gross smell also, in which we purchased air fresheners from the store to help with (we were there for 3-days and didn’t want to smell the grossness). All rooms (we tried 4 total) on the 6th floor (in which we tried two) exterior of the building were 80 degrees+, which is why they gave us two more options on the 8th floor (totaling 4 rooms, two floors evaluated), which were cooling appropriately. I did not find a working ice vending machine on any floor. Some were open as if they were under repair, others gave the appearance they were working but would not distribute ice. The staff were nice, the hotel has great potential with its design and location, but you need to truly invest in the property. The staff comped our parking in light of all of the listed issues, which would have equated to $75 additional in fees, which I feel was nice of them. Honestly I will never come back. We booked a room for last night and it just kept getting worse. Walking into the hotel looked beautiful. Walking into our room, everything seemed to be large and beautiful too...but as you got closer it was nasty. The hotel phones were dirty, the floors were filthy and everything was stained. So grimey! They charge for every little thing and dont tell you until you arrive. Our hotel phone stopped working, so I couldnt call for front desk help to even fix the phone but when I called them with mine....the girl was rude. She had so much attitude. Also the pool is not heated (minor complaint) but still dont put that in the description because our baby couldnt get in the water so we had to separate the family fun. But while we were up there other guests starting talking about their terrible rooms and service too.

DO NOT STAY HERE>>> We stayed here on the 4th of July. Positives: Location is great. Room size was great for a family of 5. Staff was attentive and nice. Negatives: Price you pay for room and parking for the quality is a joke. Our room smelled like moth balls. Above the lights in the bathroom it was completely open (looked like an elevator shaft) leaking cold air. Lack of professionalism from the staff. They were super nice but just lacked that degree of professionalism you would expect for a hotel in this price range. The lobby was in good shape but then you get the room and its just bad.

This was by far the worst hotel my husband and I have stayed at. When we walked in our non-smoking room reeked of smoke and weed. We got in late so we decided we could deal with it and went to bed. When I took my shoes off I noticed the carpet was wet all over. The shower leaked all night and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. When we woke up I noticed the floor had actual mold all over. Also they do not serve a full breakfast as said. And parking was $25 for the night. It also was extremely sketchy parking.

We really enjoyed our stay!! The building was beautiful!!! Enjoyed the fact that you guys had a parking garage! Staff was great, Henry at the front desk was very helpful and nice and a few ladies in housekeeping, sorry I did not catch names, were very nice! The only downfall of hotel was the decor on the inside. Hallway carpet needs to be deep cleaned or replaced and the rooms were great and bigger than I expected! Just a little outdated. The sofa was worn out and an ugly red. But really the hallway carpet and sofa were the only negative of the hotel. We really did enjoy our stay

Why wasnt it a poor stay is more the accurate question. We arrived late, looked at 4 different rooms and they were all equally disgusting. One room actually had black mold growing up the wall (817), one smelled strongly of smoke. We found food from previous renters in the fridge. We asked for 6 sheets to cover the floor we were so disgusted. There was a hole in the wall, and the headboard was falling off the wall, we found a rogue used eyelash under the curtain. I had brought my own cleaning supplies and when I was done cleaning surfaces and high touch areas the rag was black. There is no way they are cleaning anything. There is no alarm clock, coffee maker (not that I would use it), extra TP or soap in the room at all. Would have asked for a refund the first night but it was too late. Ended up leaving the second day, staff wasnt even surprised when we said it was disgusting. They seemed very friendly and completely on our side. Stained, dirty, and the most disgusting hotel room Ive ever been in in my entire life.

The pictures are deceiving. Our room smelled like must and mold, it was very out dated, their was so much hair and fur left in the bathroom that was not swept up, the carpet was stained, the curtains were stained, the wallpaper was peaking from the walls, only one elevator worked, the pool was closed, the fountains were off, and the ice machines didn’t work. We ended up leaving a day early just to not have to stay here one more night.

Good deal for a nice room overall. The staff was very friendly. There was no coffee maker in the room but they had complimentary coffee in the little coffee shop downstairs (which I didnt know about until I was leaving). The signal in my room was not great, and there was no do not disturb sign so houseeeping knocked nice and early. Other than those minor things, I had a nice stay for a great price booked through a third party site. Its the perfect location if youre heading to an event at Enterprise Center.

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a hotel. It is evident that the ownership is letting this hotel deteriorate. For a 4 night stay, there was no servicing of the rooms. None. Not trash or towels, sheets, toiletries or toilet paper. The carpet was stained and in severe need of replacement. I felt dirty being in the roomI have stayed at this hotel for years and years and but after 3 years away and returning to the mess that it is, I will not be coming back.

Most of the staff was very friendly. Was a mix-up with reservations. Rooms were prepaid, one room was canceled. When we arrived, we were checked in but not under the reservation since it showed in the system the entire reservation has been cancelled. When she ran my card for what I was told was for incidentals only but I was billed for room as well on top of the hold for incidentals. Could have been much more friendlier and inviting upon check in, guests who had been traveling all day into the early morning hours were just looking for a place to lay their head for the night!!The rooms were VERY nice, clean and SUPER comfortable beds. LOVED the old fashioned charm thru out the hotel!! The indoor parking ramp was very nice but it is NOT included with the room. The suite smelled of stale cigarettes mixed with musty carpet. The towel bar came right out of the wall when my husband went to dry his hands, the refrigerator barely was cold enough to keep food from spoiling, and the reading lamp had exposed wire coming out of the socket where the bulb was. My son and I took a trip to St. Louis on June 20 through the 24th. We stayed all 3 days at Too Hotel on 14th St. Here is why you should stay. Use their website to make reservations. They give me $177.00 coupon for booking that method. Made the cost with taxes and fees to $100.00 a night. The bill was $301.00. We parked in the self parking lot (8.95 a day. You can pay at kiosk or online. Just pay at Midnight to get full 24 hours as the hotel charges $25.00 a day for self parking. Lot is beside a Federal Building with guard so its very safe) behind hotel and used the rear exit by hotel coffee shop thats open from 7 to 11.The room was large and everything was clean. Furniture is dated but in good shape & clean. Its super, super quiet. Pool on roof but was closed and probably has been for a while. I wouldnt expect that to change. Elevators all worked and clean. Need keycard to use so felt safe. Outside of hotel there is no security but its lit up. Trash built up in corners some but not bad. The room has microwave, refrigerator and sink area. Couch, chair, coffee table and work desk. Flat screen was a bit small for size of room but it worked well. Ironing board, iron and hair dryer plus coffee maker topped off the room. Why you wouldnt want to stay. The employees are all so unfriendly it seemed like just greeting you as you walked through was too much energy expended. One ice machine in the entire building. Eight floor in the far back corner. I couldnt find one Coke machine that worked. They dont accept coin or bills just credit cards. No breakfast or grab & go. Just coffee shop in a.m. no food.I would stay here again and it wasnt a bad hotel. Just dont expect a lot of amenities. The internet had rooms for $159.00 so definitely go to their website to save some money.

I travel 8-10 months of the year for work and this was the least enjoyable place I’ve been in years. They have a parking garage with a sign that said β€œlot closed/full”. So I assumed it was closed but when I called they assured me that it wasn’t, that was to throw off the people from the enterprise center and keep them from parking. Idk how I was supposed to know that, so I proceeded to attempt to park for over an hour while there were many people taking up 2-4 spaces for one vehicle. Maybe the lot really was full? I’m not sure I was verbally told and assured there was space. I ordered door dash that had a dispute at the front desk on what all was left w them. They made some insinuations that maybe it was someone else’s food or I was taking someone else’s? Not sure. Then there was a large pee or blood stain on my bed. Like majority of king sized bed I found it while checking for bugs. at that point it was 2ish in the morning and there was just the valet or security up front no one at desk when I was down there for help. I slept on the couch bc I was dead tired from my day and couldn’t politic or wait for them. then they refused to refund or anything. I had my puppy w me or I would have just slept in my truck. I have photos but am not getting the option to add here.

Sub par for a hotel, but passable. If you can afford to stay elsewhere, I would. The room was rather old, outdated, and grungy. Upon first entrance, our room had an odd smell. Kinda like someone had been smoking in a non-smoking room. We did have a full suite with plenty of room and a view of St. Louis. The couch was stained and the shower curtain as well with various colors. There were only two towels in a slightly run down bathroom, no tissues, and no additional rolls of toilet paper. The is a mini fridge, but there was an accumulation of wet slightly pink liquid at the bottom and the back was a solid block of ice. I dont think thats supposed to happen. There was a microwave, but no microwave plate. The beds looked kind of odd almost as if something was missing. The box spring was visible (no dust ruffle) and a portion of the metal bed frame stuck out past the edge of the bed where it would be easy to hurt yourself. The coverings felt slightly too small for the bed and at least one of the pillows was 100% lumps. There are two old phones plugged into the wall, and at least one of them doesnt work. There are two TVs, and at least one doesnt appear to be working. There is also a pool and the hotel is within walking distance of many things in the city including the arch.

This is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. The rooms are large but the furniture is filthy. The furniture looks like it came directly from a frat house. The pullout bed in our suite was completely unusable. All the springs in the pullout bed frame were missing and the mattress was bowed. Neither of the television remotes worked in our suite and one of the outlets did not work. The door to our suite had been previously pried open with what looked to be a crowbar. The location of the hotel is not very useful for walking to get food and the parking garage is atrocious. The pool was closed while we visited so that was also a let down. We visited with two small children so our requirements were a clean suite, safe environment, working pullout bed, and convenient location. This hotel failed on all parts.

To say I am disappointed in our stay is putting things extremely mild. I had reservations for weeks, had called to check the day before and had also called in regarding the sleeper sofa in the room as well so one would think that they did indeed have the room as they said when I called. I arrived at 10:30pm with multiple small children after a long drive only to find out that they had my reservations but had given away the room I was supposed to have. There was not another room that was equivalent, so we had to cram 6 people in a room that did not have enough beds. When we got to the room the sheets were absolutely filthy and we did not have towels. The tvs did not work properly. I went down to the front desk the following day to see if we could have them looked at and was met with an awful lady who yelled at me that I was doing it wrong and that any issue I had with the hotel that wasnt while she was working was not her problem. I spoke to my son telling him that I was having a bad day and she yelled back at me that she didnt need to hear my attitude.Sunday morning I attempted to take all of my children swimming before we were set to leave only to find the pools locked. They had put chemicals in but had not put up any signs or let anyone know. There was a large group of other guests waiting outside the pool doors as well who were not happy. When asking the staff at the from desk about a luggage cart, we did not receive a response. The only person who came out to help was the lady who worked in the cafe.Everything about this stay was disappointing, gross and some of the worst customer service that I have ever seen. On May 8, 2019 I booked and stayed at the Red Lion Hotel I booked two rooms at this hotel for an event at the Enterprise Center, check in was at 3pm and I had previously called to see about a early check in as there were three other women traveling with me but was told that would not be available so my friends and I went to have a bite to eat and burn up the extra hour until 3pm. Upon our arrival at the hotel at the actual check in we were informed there would be a delay in getting into our rooms so we went into the bar area for a cocktail and two hours later we still werent allowed to get into our rooms, we were told they had been overbooked the night before and possibly staffing issues prevented the rooms from being ready. We were extremely frustrated as we would have liked to shower for the concert after our 2 hour drive but that wouldnt be an option. We finally got into our rooms at 5:30pm and didnt expect to see the stains all over the curtains and carpeting, the marks all over the walls or the large trip hazard tears in the hallway carpeting that also had stains everywhere. This hotel has the potential to be a great hotel but it would take a lot of work. The beds were pretty comfy and the showers were nice my friends and I did enjoy a very good breakfast in the Bistro in the hotel before check out. I wished this review had been better but I am being completely honest, I just wished I had read the reviews prior to my booking but being from out of town I was just trying to find something close to the venue. This hotel was not worth the money I paid for the rooms and I will be booking elsewhere the next time we visit St. Louis.

Also at check-in we were informed there was a parking fee that we were not made aware of at booking. When we got to our room, the thermostat was broken and it was hot in the room. On the morning of checkout, a staff member knocked on the door at 9:00am to see if the room was vacant, and we found this to be very rude! This hotel is outdated and could be considered somewhat dirty. The couch in our room was very broken down and had stains all over it. Employees were very kind and some of management seem overworked and some employees seemed to be in training. Which is all okay, but could cause a lot of issue, potentially. Check in was fine, but our room was booked out to someone else, offered free parking for a different room, which we had no choice, but was fair. The 13th floor balcony and pool hot tub were not working, so that was huge disappointment. The decor was out of date and is undergoing a switch to condos in half of the building. Not sure if that is the intention for the whole building or not, but condo owners have a separate entrance. The pool area was okay- my kids loved it. Many of the extras (towels, hand soap, etc.) were either not there, not enough, or non existent. The hotel has great bones and some really decent employees and managers. They should get a raise for making them deal with people who come in expecting a 4 star hotel, of which it is not.

They either spruced up a single room, or altered them digitally. Neither room we had was anything close to what the Hotels profile shows.Having dug into the OYO brand after feeling like we had been duped, we were disappointed to learn their reputation of being a catfishing value hotel brand. This hotel is what happens when a big brand moves leaves and someone buys the remains. The outside was clean, given where it was located. The parking was onsite, which is nice. They have the appearance of valet, but there were no workers present our entire stay. The lobby was clean and very bland. For a building with several hundred rooms, we only saw a few luggage dollys. They show an in-hotel bistro, its closed down. Pool, under construction to the point its not shown on some sites. A bar thats open. A cafe with very limited hours. Vending & ice machines broken down at most locations. The halls looked like carpeted construction zones. The rooms resembled something one would see doctored on a reality tv show of a rundown hotel. Both rooms had extremely bad odors and stains all over the floors, walls, and couch. Broken drawers, dead plugins, one room had a broken AC (stayed 75+ w/ unit on 68 all night), two pillows and towels. Linens were itchy. TVs and fridge worked.Dont stay here.
